I’d like to preface by saying that I am not the be all, end all authority on this. My experiences with Lord Apollo may be very different to those of others, so I’m coming from a place of my own experiences.

I myself have not always been able to worship in the way that I want, due to various circumstances. But I’ve found that all of my deities, including Lord Apollo, have been incredibly kind and understanding about this.

The most important thing that I’ve found within my work with Him is that the biggest thing he values is making an effort.

Write some poetry and dedicate it to Him, take up archery and pray to Him with every arrow you fire, listen to music and invite Him to dance with you, take a first aid course and devote that time to Him, practice divination and ask for His guidance, stand in the sunlight and appreciate its rise and set, read up on His mythology, Even silent prayers to Him are appreciated.

For me, being able to incorporate my worship into my day-to-day life has been the most effective way for me to worship.

Lord Apollo is kind, patient, and none-too-subtle in my own experiences. If He’s trying to convey something to you, there’ll be signs.

Trust your intuition, if something feels like a sign, it probably is.

The biggest thing is that the gods are far kinder and more gentle than they’re often depicted. Don’t worry about wrath or retribution if you do something wrong. They understand that you’re doing your best, and they understand that mistakes happen.

A story of Lord Apollo

This is a pretty old story, back from when I first started incorporating deity work/worship into my practice.

I would have been newly sixteen at the time, a baby witch and still very unsure about my feelings towards worship, religion, and the divine (religious trauma anyone?).

I’d been working solely with Lord Apollo for only a few months at that point, Him being the very first of my deities. Despite all that I’d shared with Him, I remained very uncertain of this part of my life and beliefs. Was this all just in my head? Was I making assumptions? Was I just making it all up?

On my sixteenth birthday, a few months post the beginning of mine and Apollo’s working relationship, my family had some unexpected guests arrive to celebrate. Family friends, nothing too out of the ordinary.

I didn’t expect any sort of gift from them, I enjoyed their company plenty. Yet, they handed me a small, wrapped box and inside was a gorgeous golden sun pendant.

Immediately, I knew that it was a sign from Lord Apollo. A gift, even. I could sense him all around me, this brilliant, gentle warmth.

Ever since then, I haven’t doubted His presence in my life. And I wore that pendant until the chain snapped. I’m now looking into a new one, haha.

I finally got a wax seal. Let me tell you that it is exactly as satisfying as if looks. Now I need all the wax please! I'm thinking of getting my logo done by @craftynooks, wouldn't that be fun?!
