Hello. Do you think there is any way to get reliable answers from spirits at spiritualism sessions? I am contacted by entities, but I do not always have the opportunity to check their information and do not know how true it was. What should I do in such a situation?
Hi, I'm afraid this is a lot of information you're asking for.
Try Consorting With Spirits by Jason Miller for a framework of spirit communication. Especially try chapter 3 on "spirit skills."
My very short answer is that I don't currently believe there is any one single thing you can to do always accurately verify what spirits tell you. It's more like a lifestyle; a habit of how you interact with spirits, the magic you do or don't do surrounding those encounters, and the allies and relationships you build to assist you in the work of mediumship.
Via ch. 3 of that book:
If you have an experience during which a spirit appears to you or gives a message to you, the most important thing you can do is ask yourself the following questions: Is this actionable? Is this useful? Each of these questions can lead to other questions. Is it actionable? Is there any harm in taking the action? If a person I trusted or admired told me this, would I do it or believe it? Who will this benefit? Why is it good? If the message is not actionable or useful, that doesn't mean you need to reject it as false. You don't need to do anything except make a note and keep doing what you're doing. This will prevent the gross ego inflation and self-important prattling that people sometimes get up to.

🌛 Mediumship Pt. 2 🌜
Here's a link to Mediumship Pt. 1
Spirit Guides and Helpers
Types of Spirit Guides
Many mediums believe they work closely with specific guides. These guides can include ancestors, ascended masters, animal spirits, or even angels. Each guide is thought to have a unique purpose, like protection, healing, or offering wisdom.
Building Relationships with Guides
Some mediums engage in regular meditative sessions to build a stronger connection with their guides, treating it as a partnership. Developing a close rapport with guides can help mediums receive clearer, more consistent messages.
The “Mediumistic Process” and How Messages Come Through
Dual Awareness
Mediums often describe being “in two places at once,” with part of their consciousness focused on the physical world and another part in the spirit realm. This “dual awareness” helps them stay present with a client while receiving impressions from spirits.
Messages as Layers
Spirits may communicate through symbols, images, words, and feelings layered over each other, which mediums then interpret. For instance, seeing a rose might represent love or a specific memory that’s meaningful to the person in the reading.
Symbol Language
Mediums often develop a unique “symbol dictionary,” as symbols and signs can be highly personal. Over time, mediums learn what certain symbols mean to them, allowing for faster and more accurate message interpretation.
The Role of Intuition in Mediumship
Trusting Intuition
For messages to come through clearly, mediums must trust their intuition. Doubts or second-guessing can interfere with the flow of information.
Strengthening Intuition
Practicing exercises that build intuition, like free writing, guessing games, or even daily decision-making without overthinking, can help strengthen a medium’s confidence and flow with spirit communication.
Physical Sensations and How Spirits Affect the Body
Temperature Changes
Some mediums feel cold or warm spots in the air when spirits are near. A sudden chill, tingling, or warmth is often associated with spirit presence.
“Spirit Goosebumps”
Many mediums report getting goosebumps, chills, or tingling sensations when a powerful message or presence comes through. This feeling can indicate truth, validation, or a strong connection.
Feeling Emotions or Pain
Clairsentient mediums may experience emotions or physical sensations that match what the spirit went through. For example, a medium might feel pressure in their chest if the spirit died of a heart condition.
Challenges and Emotional Impact on Mediums
Emotional and Energetic Exhaustion
Mediumship can be draining, particularly for empathic mediums who feel others' emotions deeply. Taking time to recharge after sessions, practicing grounding techniques, and setting limits are essential.
Experiencing Other’s Trauma
Mediums sometimes connect with spirits who went through traumatic events. This can bring up intense emotions or even residual trauma. Learning how to release these energies after a session is key to a medium’s well-being.
Role of Skepticism and Self-Validation
Healthy Skepticism
Many mediums maintain a degree of skepticism about their experiences, recognizing that interpretation can be fallible. Practicing discernment and striving to avoid making assumptions ensures messages are as accurate as possible.
Validating Messages
During a session, mediums often look for validation through specific information that resonates with the client, such as a name, date, or memory. This validation builds trust for both the medium and the client.
Mediumship in Different Cultures and Traditions
Shamanic Mediumship
In shamanic traditions, mediums (often shamans) communicate with spirits to bring healing and insight to their communities. This might involve journeying, drumming, chanting, or connecting with nature spirits.
Ancestor Worship
Many cultures focus on connecting with ancestors rather than random spirits. In these traditions, ancestors offer protection, guidance, and familial wisdom. This practice is common in African, Asian, and Indigenous cultures.
Mystic Mediums
Some spiritual traditions, like Sufism and Hinduism, consider mediumship a natural extension of mystical practice. In these cases, mediums connect with divine or universal energies rather than specific spirits.
The Concept of Mediumship as Healing
Grief Healing
One of the main purposes of mediumship is to provide closure and healing to those grieving a loss. By delivering messages from loved ones, mediums can help clients release pain and feel connected.
Spiritual Counseling
Many mediums incorporate counseling techniques, as the experience of connecting with the spirit realm can bring up deep emotions, fears, or past traumas. This approach combines psychological healing with spiritual guidance.
Energy Healing During Sessions
Some mediums also practice energy healing, like Reiki or spiritual cleansing, as they communicate with spirits. This can help release emotional blockages in the client, making them more open to the messages received.
Evidential Mediumship
What It Is
Evidential mediumship focuses on providing concrete evidence that the medium is truly connected to a specific spirit. This evidence includes details only the spirit or their loved ones would know—names, favorite items, significant dates, etc.
Focus on Validation
In evidential mediumship, the emphasis is on validation rather than interpretation. This style of mediumship is widely respected as it strives for accuracy and proof, offering stronger reassurance for skeptics.
Paranormal Mediumship
Spirit Rescue
Some mediums specialize in “spirit rescue,” helping spirits who are stuck or unaware of their death to cross over. These spirits may be “earthbound” due to unfinished business, trauma, or confusion.
Haunted Locations
Mediums are often called to locations with paranormal activity, such as homes, old buildings, or sites with traumatic histories, to sense and communicate with spirits residing there. Their goal is usually to help bring peace to both the spirits and the living.
🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌘🌑
These facets show that mediumship is a multi-dimensional practice with roots in spiritual healing, emotional connection, and a respect for both the physical and non-physical worlds. It's a field that requires sensitivity, training, and personal integrity, and for those who practice it, mediumship can be a lifelong journey of learning and transformation.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been MIA because I’ve taken a step back from social media for a second due to *gestures vaguely* everything. I think Tumblr is where I’ll stay for now and I don’t foresee me leaving permanently unless there’s something going on that I don’t know about here, too,
Anyway, I was pulled to post this, as well. I don’t normally post many of Loki’s channeled messages here and that seems to be mostly what Loki’s been wanting me to write and post on my blog for a while so I haven’t been posting much here.
I’ve found some time ago that Loki’s words tend to make no sense to me when I type them and I don’t normally know why He wants me to post what He posts. I will usually go back and read them after a little while and find his words to become more clear and perhaps a bit… ominous considering everything that went on.
I wrote this for Him a few days ago right before shit was starting to go down in my country. Things took a turn yesterday and it wasn’t great. I read it now and realize that a lot of what is going on that people tend to worry about is a distraction from the bigger problem. And we have to ask ourselves what the distraction is about that the leaders are striving so hard to prevent us from seeing? I don’t have the answer to that.
Yesterday, the orange man was announced to be attempting to gut federal funding for federal grant and loan programs and hysteria ensued in particular around higher education (which is what my career is in), even though what he wants is illegal and would cause a riot. Which is, arguably, what’s going on. A distraction - a way in stewing up anger and rage over things that probably won’t happen to make sure we don’t pay attention to what’s actually going on. It’s a fear tactic, a play piece. It’s something that Loki has been warning me about for some time and now I finally understand why and how it is working to the advantage of those who wish to stay in power and keep us on our toes in absolute fear.
The message I wrote that I will post below was written on Sunday morning and yesterday, when shit began to truly hit the fan and panic ensued was Tuesday. The timing is uncanny and the message is, too.
Mostly, the overarching theme here is: be prepared. Be prepared for anything. Be prepared for the times to come and the times that have not been here yet. The tower is falling - it has not yet hit the ground. Things are moving now and things are underway that will help us see the truth behind the lies and deceit that are plaguing the governing bodies of the world. Brace yourselves for when it has fallen and realize that there’s no end in sight - not the normal kind of end where everything doesn’t begin again. But it’s all a part of a cycle of change and there has to be a new beginning after.
What happens after - time can only tell. That’s where Loki seems to be in all of this. Not in the chaos, but the decisive knowing that all of this is a game of the worst kind possible.
Loki knows games more than anyone - but He also knows how to win games and cut through deceit. He is the truth speaker and He who untangles knots and weaves words.
Anyway, here is the post I speak of. Take what you will from it:

It’s crazy that I am making a living as a Psychic Medium. I am going to people’s houses and helping them connected to their loved ones AND making enough money to put away for my future. I’m so grateful. I can’t comprehend that this is my life.

My partner and I were traveling this weekend and here’s snippets of what I heard in passing while at our destination (a cabin in the woods) and walking around town.
-
Spirit: ah young love, what a waste of time
-
Spirit: Keep to your side of thing Petunia
Spirit (Petunia): Up your ass Bert
-
*native American spirits in the woods with wild animals. Noticed me. Gave a nod of acknowledgement and went on with there day.*
-
*a few spirits followed us to our little cabin*
Spirit 1: aren’t they a lovely couple?
Spirit 2: yeah. Do you think they’re gonna have sex?
1: oh Nicole stop it
2 (Nicole): what! they can’t hear me so what does it matter.
1: they aren’t married so of course not
Nicole: I don’t think they care Jenn
1 (Jenn): oh whatever
me: *clear my throat* Hey babe we got two ducks!
*ducks is what I would call spirits so they don’t know I’m talking about them*
Bf: *forgets code* what?
Me: ducks babe ducks
*Nicole and Jenn look confused*
Nicole: the hell is she going on about
*i sigh*
Bf: *comes into the room* what about ducks?
Me: *groans looks at Nicole and Jenn* Hi
*Nicole and Jenn absolutely mortified*
Jenn: Nicole is she
Nicole: yes
Bf: *looks at empty space. Looks at me.* oh ducks

Resources for Cuban and Caribbean Folk Magic 🇨🇺
Disclaimer: Cubans are not a monolith so when we say ‘Cuban Folk Magic’ its like saying ‘American Folk Magic’ in the sense that it is a BROAD term that includes multiple different cultural threads and traditions. Start by researching your ancestors and where they were from as a jumping off point.
Also, many of these resources are not Cuban themselves, but they either share the same practices or are academic or general sources. I have made it clear when a source isn’t Cuban. For this reason, I have expanded it to be the Cuban AND Caribbean Folk Magic List.

Luz y Progreso 🕯️
(I also have included a Research Guide below the Cut!)
Guide to researching based on your ancestry:
If your family has African roots, you can seek Ocha/Lukumi, Palo, Arara, Cuban Vodou and other African Traditional Religions and Practices. Please approach elders within these respective practices to further your connection to them, rather than using books to create a practice for yourself. These are ancient, community based and are lifelong commitments, not just trendy powerful spells for you to get what you want.
If your family has indigenous roots, research Taino spirituality and modern practices , but also know that there were other tribes in the western and centeral parts of Cuba, with their own languages and traditions you can still learn about like the Guanahatabey. You may also consider joining a Yukayeke, but this isn’t required. Reconnecting and decolonizing is a separate and important topic that is not inherently witchcraft or folk magick-y… HOWEVER, researching and informing yourself with these practices can help you to see their influence within modern folk practices.
If your family has Asian roots, research the buddhist cults and folk practices throughout Cuba! Believe it or not, we also have people of Middle Eastern descent in Cuba who brought with them their own Hindu and Arabic Folk Traditions, which can be found throughout Cuba and the Caribbean as a whole.
If your family has Spanish roots, research some open practices like Espiritismo and Folk Catholicism! Look into the Patron Saints of Cuba, La Virgen de La Caridad del Cobre and San Lazaro. These also tie in to many of the other cultures who were forced to adopt certain elements to ensure survival of their traditions! You can also look into Brujería. Much like modern witchcraft, modern brujería has been commodified to hell and back, but there is still some great knowledge and power to be found there.
The fact of the matter is, that most of us can fit ourselves into two or more of these categories, and this crossover is where Folk Magic is often born. Its also important to note, in alot of these traditions you shouldn’t learn or share certain things at certain times, so some sources who share too much about Ocha and other ATRs should be avoided. Also, I can’t stress how important it is to talk to your family! Ask them about folklore or legends and stories! Also research history and folkore of the specific areas in Cuba your family is from. A-lot of folk magic is incorporated into stories.
Bendiciones, good luck on your Journey!🦎🐊
