Page 2. --- Despite the report of Jail Surgeon Argue that he was not in a fit condition to be placed in the Carleton County jail, John Morisky. aged 77 years, was committed to jail for one month in the police court to-day, on being found guilty of vagrancy.

Morisky has been on remand for the past week and. Dr. Argue yesterday reported that the accused should be sent to the Home for the Aged.

With the crew's survival instincts being rather low (if not plain inexistent), you can bet there is a medical officer onboard. That would be Man'hât Sa'hody (nicknamed Manny). She's the one with the braincell and the emergency kit. While she acts as a doctor, she also mains the big guns among the crew. Her aim is as sharp as her teeth.

A blue-skined togruta who lived alongside Kalahad during his childhood and teenager years. Their respective father (for Kal) and mother (for Manny) actually got together when they were teens. Her mother is a politician who stood by her ideals and her people against the odds, she's the one who taught Manny to be caring and peaceful. Unlike her step-brother, she remained on their planet to become a medical officer. When Kalahad left to search for Nyx, she didn't leave him much space to argue and followed him. Travelling with them showed how difficult of an ideal pacifism could be to sustain. While she does not give up on living a peaceful life far from war, she would rather fight now than to see her people put in danger. I am absolutely convinced that Medic carries dextrose drops with him. German pharmacies throw these after you when you buy anything at all. I went to check if this one specific brand I know of had been around since the 60s and 70s and yes, it was.

Small acts of kindness I can see Medic doing is giving everyone one of these if they are tired. I'm talking about Engineer mostly.

Or they snack on them when solving practical problems together, like during the teleporter bread tumor incident.

"HEALTH DEPT. INVESTIGATION," Daily Standard. October 15, 1913. Page 2. ---- Dr. Maloney Was Out Along Napanee River. ---- Will Report to the Government Re Health Conditions - Expected Difficulty will be Removed. ---- Dr. Maloney, District Medical Of- ficer of Health, has been for the past week on a tour of inspection of the country along the Napanee River, with a view to determining the extent to which the health of the residents along the waters is exposed to danger of disease by reason of the flooding of the land by the dams which are along the stream.

It will be remembered that some time ago a Government Commission met the residents who were objecting to the presence of the dams, and investigated the extent of the damage to property and the inconvenience caused to property owners in the district. The Commission made report to the government which is now in the hands of the cabinet.

Now the Provincial Health Department has taken the matter up and ordered an investigation by Dr. Maloney. In the appeal to the authorities by the people along the stream the removal of the dams was asked for on the two grounds of damage to property and inconvenience to owners, and because the draining of land in July and August, leaving it exposed to the hot weather, was a cause of sickness and disease among the residents. These two objections have now been investigated and Dr. Maloney will make a report to the Government which will later be taken up in conjunction with the previous report. It is expected that the result will be that the difficulty between the Napanee River Improvement Company and the residents along the waters will shortly be settled.
