So Happy Newsletter
It’s not that we aren’t aware how laughter, love and happiness can impact our daily life in profound ways, it’s that in the past we may have experienced these levels of pleasure less easily than we have historically been able to sustain. Can we even imagine being happy on a truly consistent and sustainable basis?
I would like to share that our natural state of being is more blissful. Of course this tends to apply without any outside influences from our fellow humans and all the many circumstances that can show up to burst the bliss bubble we each have the potential to create. Its lovely to be around individuals who are truly happy. Laughter is such vibrant medicine, that it’s even included in certain yoga disciplines.
I remember going to my first ever “laughter yoga” class at the Ashram I lived in for a glorious month. I wasn’t sure about it at all, especially when we were told to crawl around on all fours wagging our tails and smiling into giggles, followed by laughter, that intentionally led to huge gales of belly laughing. Laughter became more contagious than I’d ever known it to be before and Beyond my original skepticism I found myself letting go and joining the foolishness, wholeheartedly. It was so good for my whole body, that I went back for more on two more occasions, wagging my tail and other exercises with more gusto, releasing how I may appear to anyone else’s eyes.
It was so healthy to be in pure childlike joy rather than hold any adult concern for ego projections. It set a new target for me that I hadn’t held before those classes. When a person would ask me about hopes, dreams, or aspirations, I most often shared something practical, material or lofty. My new shared projection was that I wished to experience being “outrageously happy.” It always made others smile when they heard me say that and it warmed my heart and filled me more than any of the goals that I may or may not attain. This felt real and attainable.
I am happy and continue to work toward the outrageous version of that, which of course is always a work in progress…..
Happiness is a Healthy state of balance we can hold to heal and master ourselves through the mind, body and spirit.

Top 17 Most Mysterious Nakshatras
Purva Bhadrapada: The Dark Magician. Natives' boiling energy and their curiosity about the other worlds make them extreme in their spiritual practices. Depending on their level of maturity, they can fall into harsh malevolent practices. Natives usually have a lot of occult knowledge and most importantly, they can contact otherworldly entities, especially the aliens. They are connected to graveyards and some saints.
Ardra: The Ascetic Monk. Natives' power lies in their intense emotions. Their emotions can make them so tough they can ignore physical pain. They are healers, hermits. They tap into the energy of nature, mostly mountains and forests. They can predict the weather, they are able to bring rain. They can perform extreme spiritual practices.
Ashlesha: The Hypnotic Witch Queen. Sensitivity is natives' power. They can sense anything in their surroundings, hence a strong intuition. They can dive into the human soul and spot any weaknesses. They can read your mind. They are very magnetic. Natives should trust their Vastu/Feng Shui abilities and their healing skills.
Mula: The Exorcist. Natives have a strong root chakra, which makes them invincible. Thus, they are more sensitive to the telluric currents, the caves, the ruins and the ancient temples. They often deal with negative spirits and when they are well prepared, they can expel them. Natives are usually interested in the occult and they often do research in that field.
Shravana: The Wise Wizard. Natives' gift lies in their connection to the Source and their absorption ability. They can get glimpses of their past life memories, which help them in their current lifetime. For example, they can remember some bits of a language they used to speak in a previous life and use it in their job today. They can perceive guiding voices and see spirits. They easily sense their environment.
Shatabhisha: The Druid. Natives' mind is their strength. They are highly connected to nature, hence their healing abilities. They see things people do not: they are excellent at discovering occult secrets through many disciplines, such as medicine or astrology. They can invent new ways in their field, such as healing naturally. They can get involved in secret societies.
Jyeshtha: The Sorcerer King. Natives know the power of the occult too well. If they are scared of it, they cover themselves with protective talismans and do specific prayers. Or, if they do not, they perform strong rituals or they get involved in occult societies in order to gain power... But there is a price to pay.
Magha: The Archmage King. Natives' strength lies in their connection to their ancestors and their knowledge. They can dream of their ancestors and receive their messages. But because they can contact them, they can have out of body experiences, sometimes they can even have a near-death experience. Natives usually chase spiritual knowledge and occult powers and they end up mastering them very well.
Hasta: The Fortune Teller. Natives' power lies in their hands and words. They can be very good at palmistry, tarot card reading, healing (especially with hands)… Their mantras and spells are always highly effective.
Uttara Bhadrapada: The Mystic. Natives' strength lies in their connection to the atmosphere and clouds. That is why they are able to bring rain. They tap into rain and water's energy. Their spiritual practice is deep and their devotion to their Gods make them stronger... And threatening if they choose the wrong side.
Revati: The Psychic. Natives' power lies in their connection to the other worlds. They can have astral traveling experiences; they can contact the dead, the divinities; they can receive messages from beyond and become prophets.
Ashvini: The Healer. Natives' strength lies in their vitality and their connection to the other worlds. When they are in the medical field, they can perform miracles. They can discover secrets on life and immortality. They can be good at channeling spirits.
Bharani: The Ancient Patroness. Natives' power lies in their connection to the other worlds and their raw strength. They can connect to other planes and ghosts. Natives feel linked to the pyramids (in Egypt and/or from other places), some tombs of saints and the primordial feminine energy (shakti).
Purva Ashadha: The Regenerative Healer. Natives' strength lies in their incredible restoring vigor. Their energy is such that they can invigorate anyone around them, as well as crumbling activities. Natives do wonders with a pendulum.
Anuradha: The Seer. Natives’ power lies in their faculty to see and receive light as well as perseverance. In the deepest mud of people’s minds, using a coded chart, natives can find out people’s benevolent nature and their shameful secrets. Natives are hard working and patient. They keep so many secrets. That is why they can be very good at numerology, astrology and other occult sciences.
Dhanishta: The Element Master. Natives' strength lies in the natural elements and directions. They can become experts in Vastu or Feng Shui and fix a home. They are good in alchemy, reading pulses and other more spiritual practices.
Purva Phalguni: The Enchanted Fairy. Natives' power lies in their huge amount of luck. A problem happens, a native smiles and it is gone. They can be interested in the occult, usually the traditional knowledge, such as mantras, astrology, and palmistry.

What career suites you best based on destiny matrix? (part 1/3)
To find out what career suits you best and what can you do to succeed, we have to look at the number under the dollar sign.

1 - Magician
People with magician energy are very talented, ambitious and hardworking. They are early satisfied with mediocre results and salary. They always try for more and they have all the right tools to achieve all of their goals. Negative aspect of this energy is that people might lie and use other people to get benefits or they can spend their life wasting their talents by doing nothing.
The most suitable career:
tbh, they can do anything
Challenges that affect career:
laziness, hoping that everything will be figured out by itself
detachment from colleagues, lying
using people, being selfish
2 - High Priestess
People with high priestess energy are highly intuitive and may I say slow (they need more time to come up with a plan). A career that requires making fast decisions is not suitable for those people. On the contrary, they need a job that will allow them to move at a stable measured pace and use their intuition.
The most suitable career:
healer
psychologist, therapist
artist
Challenges that affect career:
avoiding conflicts
being afraid to show off your skills
not being able to make quick decisions
3 - Empress
People with empress energy are definition of "beauty and brains". Such individuals easily identify points of contact with the interests of other people, solve all problems quickly and confidently. florist
beauty industry worker
Challenges that affect career:
pride, sense of superiority
power abuse
being overly materialistic
irrational spendings/hoarding
4 - Emperor
People with emperor energy are executive, demanding (of themselves and of others) and they quickly gain credibility and respect. Such individuals have every chance to take a high position or open their own business.
The most suitable career:
analyst
accountant
auditor
lawyer
policeman, soldier
CEO
Challenges that affect career:
being controlling, demanding
inability to find compromises
power abuse
5 - Hierophant

I gotta talk about this moment even though it's been discussed a million times
Zuko, opening up to someone about his scar for the first time (from what we’ve seen in the show at least, but we can reasonably assume he hasn’t spoken about it like this since he got it) and explicitly stating that whilst he's always associated it with with failures ('the mark of the banished prince'), he's finally ready to take control and change his life for the better. And whilst he has accepted that he can never change his scar, it’s ok because he still has the power to change his destiny.
And despite this assurance, Katara, the healer, still jumps in and offers to heal it anyway, understanding that this is still a burden she could lift from him - 'What if you could be free of it?'
She knows it won't change his life in the same way taking control of his own destiny will, but still, it's like she can't help but try to ease his pain. Even if it's a pain that's long since become a permanent part of him, something that might seem surface level or cosmetic to others - 'It's a scar, it can't be healed.'
And then we have this
'I've been saving it for something important.'
This. Healing Zuko's scar. A wound that has, for all intents and purposes already healed and is not longer a threat to his life, but still burdens him emotionally. That has come to represent all of his trauma. This Katara considers important enough to use her limited and precious supply of spirit oasis water. In the middle of a war. In the middle of a dangerous journey to save the world in which she and her friends might be seriously injured at any time (including in this scene, where Ba sing se is literally under attack as they speak).
And if that weren't enough
'I don't know if it would work'
Now, I don't know the mechanics of spirit water in the atla universe, but it seems to be pretty heavily implied later in the episode when she uses the water to heal Aang, and for a moment thinks that it hasn't worked, that it's sort of a one-time deal.
Which means that she's willing to potentially waste the spirit water just on the off-chance that it might remove the scar. Which in the context of the wider story seems utterly insane.
But Katara thinks it's worth the risk.
And presented with this opportunity, this beautiful, selfless offer to ease his suffering, even on a purely physical, surface level, Zuko wordlessly submits, and lets her touch his scar.
Now, Katara doesn't know quite how significant this touch is (although she's very emotionally intuitive so I'm sure she has some inkling of the gravity of this action) but we do. We know that Zuko doesn't let anyone touch his scar, ever. So what this communicates to us as an audience is that Zuko is allowing himself, for the first time, to put his complete trust in someone. To be completely, 100% vulnerable with them.
And the moment of touch is all the more significant because, in many ways, it isn't even strictly necessary.
Katara's hands are empty, she isn't putting the spirit water to his face, to attempting to heal it here. And while I'd argue this touch could be a practical one - assessing the damage of the scar with her hands to see how to proceed before she uses the water - the moment after, right before they are interrupted, isn't one of practical, medical assessment, but of intimacy.
The way Zuko waits, patiently, eyes closed, and the way Katara pauses, just for a moment, doing what I can only describe as gazing at him, and that slow blink in the middle- Again, not examining his scar or reaching for the spirit water to begin, but just taking it all in.
It's so breathtakingly intimate and vulnerable - a point of connection between these two people who are supposedly so completely different but are, here, somehow so alike in their openness and understanding of one another.
That Katara offers to heal Zuko's scar even when he's said moments before that he's made his peace with the fact that he's never be free of it. And the way he accepts her offer without words because she's right, part of him does want to be free of it.
It's just an absolute masterclass in creating an immediate and powerful connection and bond between two characters in an incredibly short space of time from a start point of complete opposition without rushing it or making it seem implausible.
#I don't know how to end this is just needed to talk about this scene#they really send me into a feral frenzy#because how could this not be endgame when this scene exists???#anyway#zutara#Zuko x Katara#zutara meta#zutara analysis#my meta#atla#avatar the last airbender#my gifs

My MC’s kids!
For lack of a better word, I’ll refer to them as Unholycs, or half-devils. I know the term Unholycs is more associated with Asmodeus, as he famously has so many half-human offspring, but I don’t have the creativity to invent a name for Sitri’s half-human offspring lmao
They have two names each; their Unholyc name, and a more human name for the sake of their legal documents on Earth, as they are free to explore the human world so long as they are adequately disguised. Though they always return home to Hell. Both names are interchangeable for them, but they know that they’re in trouble if both names and Phoebe’s last name are used.
As half-devils, they are able to make contracts with both humans and devils. Their first contracts were with their parents, and their godparents, as a promise of protection, but more on their godparents later, in another post.
My HC for Unholycs is that they age like their human parent, becoming full fledged adults by 25. However, they inherit their longevity from their devil parent, often exceeding a lifespan of 150-200 years, or more if they come from a particularly powerful lineage.
Horns are inherited from their parents, though if they are half-devils, they may inherit horn characteristics from their unholy grandparents.
Eye colour and pupil shapes can be inherited from both parents, though heterochromia can often occur with both parent’s eye characteristics being present.

Aeridanus (Edward)
D.O.B: July 17th
Zodiac sign: Cancer
Attribute: Light
Class: Defense
Affiliation: Tartaros
Summon Quote: “Well hey there. If you need anything fixed, I’m your guy. Hell, I’ll do it for free… Just don’t tell Bimet.”
The first-born child of Sitri and Phoebe, and their only son. Aeridanus is a rather curious half-devil, choosing to dismantle and reassemble devices. He chose to work as an apprentice in Gehenna’s armoury, learning about the weapons of the nobles, but also dabbled in fixing motorcycles under Satan’s guidance.
Aeridanus was awarded a scholarship in Tartaros for his keen interests in technology, though he still visits Gehenna as often as he can.
As an affiliate to Tartaros, he began specialising in shield making, combining blacksmith work and mechanics with advanced technology. In battle, he has a fierce urge to protect those behind him, especially if his sisters are on the field. Though if enemies get too close, he will give one hell of a swing with his 12-inch pipe wrench.
The triplets!
Birthday: January 9th
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn
Solasta (Blaire)
Attribute: Grass
Class: Healer
Affiliation: Paradise Lost
Summon Quote: “Oh! You caught me in the middle of reading. Are you sick? Injured? Come sit down, let me take a look at you.”
Solasta is a rather calm individual who can be a huge daydreamer. She believes in fairytale romances, and likes to give advice to people. As the triplet that is closest to Phoebe, she often accompanies her to Paradise Lost, where she developed an interest in medicine. She appears to be a rather intuitive Unholyc, often knowing when someone is about to fall ill before they know it themselves. It is rumoured that she’s inherited her father’s hearing.
As her interest in medicine grew, she found herself engrossed in all sorts of medical texts from across Hell and Earth. Solasta trained under the healers of Paradise Lost and later became affiliated to the nation.
On the battlefield, she isn’t a fighter, instead choosing to heal her allies. Though if any of her allies are overwhelmed, she distracts their opponents with spectral butterflies, giving her allies an opening.

Lunette (Elena)
Attribute: Water
Class: Marksman
Affiliation: Hades
Summon Quote: “Hm. I have three rules you must follow if you want to live. Rule number one; Don’t disappoint me. I’m sure you’re capable of figuring the others out.”
Possibly the most gifted of the three, Lunette showed a keen interest in absorbing as much arcane knowledge as possible. She showed academic potential at a young age, and followed in her father’s footsteps by studying in Hades, though it was to repay her father’s debt to Leviathan.
First impressions would lead you to believe she’s a rather aloof Unholyc, who would rather be left alone to her independent studies than deal with socialising. However, she does have a soft side when it comes to family.
As an Unholyc affiliated to Hades, she has her own pact with an eldritch creature. She named it “Myrna”, meaning ‘affectionate’. The reason behind this is that Myrna will often rub Lunette’s hair with its tentacles, much like how a cat would rub against its owner. When in battle, Lunette will roll a 20-sided die that she was given by Belphegor. The number rolled determines how many tentacles spill forth from the coffin to attack her foes.

Aréalta (Cassandra)
Attribute: Fire
Class: Close-Ranged
Affiliation: Gehenna
Summon Quote: “Wanna see me throw this knife? What do you mean, it’s dangerous? That’s the fun of it~!”
Aréalta is the most chaotic of the triplets, choosing to wander around a lot between the realms of Earth and Hell, though Abyssos is one of her main haunts.
While in Abyssos, she found that club life was so alluring, but not because of the drugs, alcohol, and rampant sex. No, she was intrigued by the music, and quickly took up DJing as a hobby. She can regularly be found performing at one of Abyssos’ “human themed” nightclubs.
In battle, she is an Unholyc who likes to attack up close with her sword. However, she often likes to throw knives to keep the enemies on their toes.

Medic:
Summary: Reader is a Jedi medic in a clone wars battle. She loses a young patient and has a traumatic time. Anakin comforts her.
Warnings: None, violence, blood.
Word Count: 1,690
You weren't often deployed into battle, you had barely finished your training. But, you supposed, the Jedi were fairly short-staffed at the moment.
You never wanted to be a soldier, had always struggled with wielding your saber, but your intuition with the force was undoubtable, so you had been taken in as a student, and studied to be a medic. What the masters saw in you was a meditative, quick learning mind. And it was true. So you were not suited to the war.
Desperate times however, brought desperate measures. While the troops had gone on the offensive, you had been tasked with setting up the hospital area near the sheltered back of a cave. Not many of you healers were available for this particular conflict, it was a surprise attack by the Separatists, you had barely stopped for the past two days, planning and prepping in a state of emergency. Now that you were here, all you could do was wait for the bodies to come pouring in. Bloodied, burned, dismembered. It wasn’t that you were faint of heart, you knew what you were getting into when you took on this position under Master Che, but the extent of the fighting, the amount of death was overwhelming you.
The anxiety of war was not one which you enjoyed. Especially not when he was out there fighting too.
Anakin was unaware that you had been called up to this particular battle. So he fought and led the fray as he normally would. Cutting down all in his way with a fury and determination which made him indestructible. Or so he liked to think. That was how the two of you had met. A posting at the hospital wing on Coruscant had bought you into his path. He was practically a regular, always getting himself injured in the most ridiculous and reckless ways. Burns from playing with speeder mechanics, from an overenthusiastic lightsaber duel with students twice his age. Large cuts and scrapes from jumping off things, or climbing things, or through things. And each time he would come in with a smile, sit down and let you do what you needed to do. Make you laugh with his stories, entertaining you endlessly and distracting you from your real work.
That was at the beginning, before things got serious with the war.
When it broke out, when the attacks started, he came to you, broken, and not just physically. You patched him up and the two of you found solace in each other. One bright spark in an increasingly dark world.
The sound of explosions and shouts reached you and you shook with anticipation, wiping your sweaty hands on your apron. Then the bodies started to roll in.
It wasn't long before the tent was filled with the wounded and dying. The smell of blood and burning flesh filled your nostrils, making your stomach churn. But you didn't have time to be sick. You had to keep working. You took a deep breath and composed yourself. You had been trained for this, and you knew exactly what to do.
When you saw this patient, you sprung into action. It was a young Padawan, younger even than yourself, with deep burns all over his body. You could feel his pain through the Force, and it only intensified when he saw you approach him. You could sense his fear, his uncertainty, and his desperation for help. You knew exactly what to do. Or you thought you did. Using the Force to steady your hands and calm the Padawan's nerves, you worked with precision, cleaning up his wound so that you could get a good view, then get him stabilised. But then he started convulsing violently. It was all over, and you didn't even get a moment to dwell before you were pushed off of him by your Master, it was useless, the boy had died. You were sent off to help somebody else, so you filed it away for later.
As the night wore on, the wounded continued to pour in, and you worked tirelessly to save as many lives as you could. Blood and sweat mingled on your forehead as you struggled to keep up with the constant flow of patients.
You were jolted out of your thoughts by the sound of someone calling your name. It was Anakin, his face twisted in pain. You rushed to his side, using the Force to assess his injuries. He had a deep cut across his abdomen, and it was bleeding profusely.
You didn't hesitate, you got to work immediately. You used the Force to steady your hands and focused all your energy on healing him. You ripped open his robes without thought or shame, didn't even register a word he said. It was as if time slowed down as you worked, your mind and body working in perfect harmony as you stitched him up. Anakin's pain slowly began to subside, and he looked up at you gratefully. But you didn’t dare to look him in the eye. You couldn’t.
The fighting didn’t start to die down unto the dawn broke and it was forever before you were finished. Finally you were able to excuse yourself, you made your way into the bathroom, desperate for a moment alone, a moment to breathe.
But the universe was not so kind. For the second time that day you heard a familiar voice calling your name. It was Anakin, battered and bruised but alive. He had clearly gone back out into the fight after you patched him up, but that was hours ago. Since then he had acquired an injury on his wrist, which someone else must have bandaged for him. Or perhaps he did it himself... It was roughly done with a part of his sleeve, that man...
He looked so concerned, so panicked by you as you turned around. With urgency he gripped at your arms, "Y/N, what happened to you? Who did this? I thought you would be staying in here, safe!"
"What?" You ask, tired and bewildered by his sudden energy. He was still looking at you in horror so you look down too. You understood his confusion then, you were covered in blood.
It wasn't even a splattering, it was like you had been dipped in it.
You looked at your own hands, they were shaking and trembling. The sight of the blood, the smell of it, were overwhelming you. You felt like you were going to be sick. You had been so busy helping others that you had forgotten to take care of yourself. You had forgotten to eat or drink anything, forgotten to rest. You had been running on adrenaline for hours, and now it was catching up to you. You felt weak and dizzy, and you knew you needed to sit down before you collapsed.
"None of it's mine, I..." Anakin helped you through an alcove, to rocky outcrop for you to sit and knelt down in front of you, gripping your hands and squeezing, trying to keep you in this reality. He could see the exhaustion and trauma in your eyes. He wondered at whoever had cleared you for this mission. He had been battle-worn since he was a child but you... You weren't meant to this, he was supposed to protect you.
He sat next to you, his arm around your shoulders, and held you close. You leaned into him, feeling safe and protected in his embrace. You closed your eyes and focused on your breathing, feeling the tension slowly leaving your body.
After a few minutes of him wiping your hair off your face and whispering things in your ear you were calmed, turning to kiss him of the cheek.
"I'm sorry. I should be better at this by now."
He shook his head, unable to conjure the words. You take his silence for understanding and unconsciously start to play with his fingers, reminding yourself of his injury. Without a word you undo his make-shift bandage and sigh deeply at him.
"This needs stitches."
"I know, I was going to worry about it later."
You smile at him in a way which conveys your affection, your concern, your love, all at once. And he lets you stand.
You reach into the pocket of your apron, quite a feat with the dried blood, and mercifully your personal medi-kit was in a usable condition.
The sight of his blood didn't phase you, this, at least, was familiar. Anakin watched you intently, his eyes soft and tender.
"There was a Padawan earlier. Maybe you knew him? Young, dark hair…" You question him,
"I know. I saw him get caught up in a shell. And in the hospital. I can't remember his name. You saved so many lives today.” His hand comes to cup your cheek.
You nod, still silent.
He could feel the weight of your exhaustion and it made his heart ache. He leant forward, and with an unfamiliarly determined want he said; "If I could, I'd make sure nobody died. I would stop it if I had the power. I would stop everything."
"Well you can't."
"Why can't I?"
"Don't be ridiculous, it doesn't help. No one can control that, no one can control death." Your own words were your solution and the weight of the boys death lifted slightly.
Anakin paused his thoughts when he saw you relax. He knew that he would never be as strong and capable as you were, never so wise. He would always need you by his side to reign in the part of him that wanted those things. You, who had so much care for the world around you yet did not try to control it, so neither should he.
You finished wrapping his hand and held it up to your lips for a kiss.
"Thank you," he whispered.
You smiled at him, feeling your heart swell with love and affection for him. You knew that you couldn't do this without him, that he was your rock in times of trouble. You felt grateful for his presence, for his love, for his strength.

It's Just This Once
Chapter 1
Hey everyone! This is my first post. This work is finished but I will be uploading the chapters weekly. (I don't really know how Tumblr works so if y'all have suggestions or tips let me know)
Pairing: Bucky x Reader
Warnings: Not many. Bucky and his PTSD, my life choices to write this, nightmares, Bucky's regret and self hatred. Idk. There's not even language in this thing its mostly fluff.
Summary: Y/N is an Avenger, she has healing powers and uses them to patch up the rest of the team. Bucky never asks her to use her healing powers on him, except once.
Chapter Word Count: 1,912
Chapter 1: Take the Pain Away
Y/N was working in her little corner of the medical wing of the newly built Avengers Compound. All was right in her little world, well as right as her world could be since reappearing after a five year absence.
Everyone was trying their hardest to go back to normal but adapting to a life without Steve, Tony, and Natasha was far from it. Shortly before Tony and Steve's fallout, Y/N was recruited by Fury to join the Avengers Initiative. He had somehow figured out she was an enhanced and convinced her to join the team. She had hid her abilities so well in the past she had no idea how a man she had never met before found out about them. Y/N had the extraordinary ability to heal others, it had taken an insane amount of time, energy, and focus to master her powers. With the help of Wanda she had also been able to unlock another talent. She had intuition that was insanely on point so she could guide her teammates on their missions. Natasha had taught her some martial arts moves and Steve taught her how to protect herself in a fight. Y/N soon became part of the family and finally found a place where she belonged, but after a few billion people came back from nothingness, her family seemed to narrow down. She had fought in the battle against Thanos and tried, had really tried, to heal Tony with her powers but in the end it wasn't enough. She couldn't help but feel a little responsible for his death. When the battle was over and Steve left to be with the love of his life, he left so many friends behind. If Y/N couldn't heal Tony's physical wounds, maybe she could heal the emotional wounds he and Steve left behind.
Shortly after the battle she became close with the remaining Avengers. She helped guide Sam on missions as the new Captain America, she comforted Wanda after her little outburst in Westview, she even got to know Bucky a bit more. Sam had convinced him to live at the new Compound with him instead of being alone in an old apartment in Brooklyn. Every so often Sam and Bucky would limp into the med bay in need of healing. She had healed Sam several times and Wanda a few but never Bucky. He always said she shouldn't waist her energy on him, and she always replied with, "It's no trouble at all, it doesn't take that much energy." Bucky would brush it off and say his advanced healing would take care of his injuries in no time. She never really pushed it, considering what he's been through with people messing with his body, it didn't surprise her when he didn't want to be helped.
Today was nothing unusual when Sam came into the med bay with an arm around Bucky and the other around his side. Y/N hopped up from the seat at her desk and began walking to the two men.
"What did you do this time?"
"This idiot took a bullet for me." Bucky spoke up as he helped Sam into a bed.
"Hey don't be mad at me for saving your life." Sam snapped back. He was taking off part of his uniform so Y/N could assess the injury properly.
"I have better healing than you, I would have been just fine." Bucky countered.
"I'll be fine! I have the best healer in the world right here, right doc?" Sam shot a quick smirk at Y/N as she started to heal him. A light purple glow emitted from her hands as she closed the wound on Sam's torso.
"Just because I can heal you in seconds doesn't mean you can be reckless."
Sam's smirk faded as Bucky gave a short "Ha" in victory. Y/N noticed Bucky was holding his left arm with his right and had a few bruises on his face.
"I could always heal you too Bucky if you need it."
"It's fine doll, these bruises will be gone in a couple hours." He said as he gestured to his face. Y/N turned her attention back to Sam as she finished up her work.
"All done." She said as she removed her hands. "Go clean up, Wanda and I are making dinner soon."
She grabbed a cloth and wiped some of the blood off her hands.
"You're the best doc. " Sam gave her a quick hug and headed out with Bucky. As they left she saw how tight the muscles in Bucky's were. With all of the experience Y/N had with healing people, she was able to see how much he was hurting. It could just be the stress of the mission so she didn't think much of it.
Later that evening while Y/N was cooking with Wanda, she once again noticed Bucky. At this point she couldn't tell if it was just stress or flat out pain. Sam was tapping away at his laptop sending a report on the mission to Fury. He didn't seem to notice the tight expression Bucky was wearing. Bucky was absentmindedly rubbing his left shoulder where metal met flesh, he looked exhausted.
"You good Buck?"
He glanced up at her removing his hand from his shoulder and said,
"Yeah, I'm fine. " with a half hearted smile.
She hoped that a warm meal would help. Y/N loved to cook, especially with Wanda, she loved seeing people's faces when they ate the food she made. Pretty much everyone else was away from the compound so it was just the four of them. Wanda had suggested they make soup since Autumn came out of nowhere and settled in New York. They set the table and listened to Sam talk about the mission he and Bucky had just endured. Bucky let Sam do all the talking for once and kept quite happily enjoying the warm food. The creases in his features slowly melted away as he finished the soup. Once the story was finished and the dining room was cleaned up, everyone said their goodnights and started off to their rooms, all expect Y/N.
"You're not going to sleep?" Wanda had asked when she saw Y/N going towards the elevator instead of her room.
"I have some work left to finish since I was so rudely interrupted earlier." She had turned her head to Sam with a smile.
"Hey don't come at me." He said with his hands up in a surrendering gesture as he walked to his room.
She gave a small laugh, "Goodnight guys."
Y/N headed down to her lab and picked up where she left off. She was running some lab work on some blood samples when she heard thunder shake the building. It startled her enough for her to nearly drop her test tube. Soon after she heard rain begin to pound on the walls of the Compound. She glanced at the clock as it struck 1:00 am.
"Just a little longer." She whispered as she resumed her work.
Bucky was sitting in his bed when he heard Thunder boom outside his window. He hadn't slept since coming to his room, too stressed from the mission and in too much pain. He knew the rain was coming, he felt it in his bones, but that didn't make it any less unsettling. He truly felt like an old man knowing rain was coming by the way his prosthetic arm felt. The mission had caused a few unpleasant memories to resurface and that made his mind uneasy. All of that combined together resulted in a dull headache and an unbearable amount of phantom pain in his left arm. His shoulder was throbbing and it felt as if he was being stabbed by a hundred needles where his metal arm occupied where his flesh should be. His breathing was laboured and heavy, he was so close to a panic attack it wasn't even funny. The weather hadn't helped either, it made him feel cold and achey. He tried so hard to keep it together but the pain became too much. He needed relief and there was one person he could think of to help. He hated the idea of Y/N using her healing powers on him when she could use them for something much more valuable. He didn't want to inconvenience her with his pain but it was becoming agonizing. He sat and thought it over for a few more minutes when he finally caved and made his way down to her lab. He stood at the door and sighed,
"It's just this once."
Y/N was just about finished when she heard a small knock at the lab entrance. She got up and walked towards the door, she wasn't expecting to see Bucky when she opened it. He stood with his hand clutching his metal shoulder, his hair was unkempt and he had bags under his eyes.
"Hey, I thought you went to bed. Is everything okay?"
"Uh, not really. I hate to ask you this, especially this late, but-"
Suddenly thunder echoed through the lab and Bucky squeezed his eyes shut and his breath began to shake, using his hand to add more pressure to his shoulder.
"My shoulder hurts, and my arm too kinda." He looked down not wanting to meet her eyes.
"Like phantom pain?" She questioned
"Y-yeah, it feels like pins and needles. The vibranium feels heavy."
"Are you asking me to help you?" She asked in disbelief.
"I-if you don't want to that's fine I can manage."
"No, no come in, sit down."
She led him to one of the beds and guided his hand off his shoulder, eager to work on the one person she hadn't helped.
He winced in pain as he moved, his hand letting up the pressure it was omitting on his upper arm.
"Sorry," she stepped back for a second, "I need you to take off your shirt." In the dimly lit lab she could see him blush a little. "It'll be better if I have direct contact to the skin."
He complied, slowly and painfully taking off his blue Henley. She walked around to the side of the bed to begin.
"I'm just going to put my hands on your shoulder, okay?"
He gave a very tight nod and she began. Her hands danced across the mess of scar tissue where metal crept into his skin. She couldn't help but felt bad for what Hydra did to him. His breath hitched but his back slowly became more relaxed. She could feel his heart rate slowing and his breath even out.
"I'm halfway done, are you okay? " she was concerned. She had never been able to do this for Bucky before and didn't know how he'd react.
"Mhmm." he seemed content.
She stopped and moved to his front to place her hands on his collar bone. She tried not to make it too awkward by making eye contact but she glanced up anyway and met his blue eyes. They both quickly looked away and Y/N turned her attention back to his arm. She stopped when she felt she couldn't do anything more to help with the pain.
"Done, does that feel better?"
He immediately brought her in for a hug and whispered a quite,
"Thank you."
She hugged back happily,
"You're welcome."
It gets better I promise. It was originally a one shot but it evolved.

MY Least Favorite stereotypes of the Ilvermorny Houses
Pukwudgie:
I don’t like the idea that they carry around med-kits. That just stereotypes them way too much. It feels like it’s the older Pukwudgies giving tips to younger students on what herbs, teas, healing spells. Older students would also help with mental health exercises and how to deal with different triggers. Not all healers have to be in the medical field, maybe they are good at emotional healing, helping other students with their mental health because they understand their own mental struggles. It could be small things like reminding their friends to eat, take a break, drink some water. They are probably better emotionally healing because their house represents the heart. But just because they represent the heart doesn’t mean they won’t beat down anyone who threatens their loved ones. Ruled by the heart they follow emotion/feelings more than logic. They are protective, might have anger issues, and might even have a self-defensive or fight club. They probably know the signs of someone who is suicidal or on the verge of having a mental breakdown.
Wampus:
Most people think of them as the big dumb jocks who hit first and ask questions later, but this is not the case. The stereotype is that you might envision them with huge muscle and amazing at athletics. As J.K Rowling stated Jacob would be in the wampus house. Even though he is chubby, pudgy, not the fastest or the strongest. To be a warrior you need to be brave, but being brave doesn’t mean having no fears. They get knocked down all the time, and even though they are tired they keep trying. Because sometimes you fight not because you think you can win, but because you need to be able to look back later and say that you fought, and that you tried. There are different ways you can be a warrior; it doesn’t always mean you’re in combat. Sometimes being a warrior means to fight against your own doubts, insecurities, and demons that plague your soul.
Thunderbird:
Their whole stereotype is that they are restless wanderers, always looking for the next adventure to fulfill their high. But having the soul of an adventure can be interpreted in many ways. For most thunderbirds it can be trying out a new coffee shop down the street, doing to a local food festival within their own town. It doesn’t always have to mean you’re traveling across the world, spending money to do extravagant things. It could just be taking baby steps to expand their introverted lifestyle. It means having the simple courage to try new things and be open to new experiences. They are more like daydreamers who encourage each other to try different things without breaking boundaries. Thunderbirds are very Intune with their emotions are likely to trust their gut/intuition which leads to them exploring a different way of doing things. Many have the mindset to take what resonates and to leave the rest.
Horned Serpent:
Since their house favors scholars many think they are just stuck-up book worms which further from the case. They may not necessarily be studious, but they love to learn. Some of them might have some learning difficulties such (ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, math dyslexia). Others gifted burnout kids that still get great grades because they can hack the tests and guess well. Some of them might love learning but hate school because it adds unnecessary stress to their mental health. But they are eager to learn about different places, ideas, aspects and concepts. They want to learn by real world applications more than books, they want the freedom to make mistakes and instead of getting penalized they are able to learn and grow as a person, that way they can pass on their knowledge to others. Being a horned serpent, they are most likely to also be street smart as well as book smart and by Combining the two it helps them and those around them succeed.

Jewish Healers May Have Just the Potion for Tu B'Av, the 'Jewish Valentine's Day'
Tu B’Av, the 15th of the Jewish month of Av. A vineyard festival often called the Jewish Valentine’s Day, it foreshadows the High Holidays as a day of repentance-free joy. In the Talmud, Shimon ben Gamliel said it was the day when “the maidens of Israel would go out and dance in the vineyards. The men would go there, and the maidens would say: ‘Young man, lift up your eyes and see what you will select.’” This ancient Jewish love holiday, a time to procure new love, with its mystical undertones, poses a question: What is love, and how do we go about finding it?
Just as the ancestors danced in white under the stars, today some Jewish innovators look to other creative, nature-based practices. Jewish astrologers and intuitive healers Jessica Lanyadoo, Dori Midnight, and Chani Nicholas lean on astrology and plant medicine to inform their practices, and have the potion for finding true love. But it may not be what you expected.
“This idea that we have about love, that love is something that we get, like pants, is not true,” said the Canadian-born Lanyadoo, a “medical intuitive” and “medical astrologer” who has been practicing since 1995.
Nicholas, an astrologer and writer who gets between a quarter-million and a million web hits a month, agrees. “I am not about helping you access finding a person to source love in your life,” Nicholas said. “Love comes when it does. Your chart will talk about it. … Instead of trying to focus on a particular relationship coming into our lives, we want to cultivate more meaningful relationships in every aspect of our lives.”
Nicholas, Lanyadoo, and Midnight, go-to helpers for the lovelorn and others looking to transform their lives, draw on different sources of often forgotten historically Jewish medicinal practices to inform their work. Astrology, plant medicine, and ritual amuletic practices are referenced throughout Torah and have been practiced by Jewish people around the world for centuries.
Nicholas, who calls her work “astrology for intersectional witches,” has 133,000 Instagram followers and refers to her work as “so Jewish.” “I doubt,” she said, “I wrestle, I critique, I have immense anxiety. Which is why I write and put things out in the world, my way.”
Growing up one of a handful of Jews in a small town in British Columbia, she outsourced her Judaism to New York. “We didn’t have shul, there was no rabbi, [and] there was a very informal very, very small Jewish community,” she explained. “I was the odd one out in the town I grew up in. I always hungered for more connection to my faith and ways of being Jewish. I felt very aligned with it, but I didn’t have immediate access to Jewish life.”
Astrology became her greatest tool, one she traces to rabbinic circles, specifically rabbi and astrologer Ibn Ezra. “In ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, observing the sky was an important aspect of science and religion,” Nicholas said. “That’s where Jews originate.” She also notes that mazel tov “means ‘under a good sign,’ may you be blessed, good luck—may the stars be in your favor. Mazel is about the constellation of good fortune that is happening in that moment.”
In her immensely popular horoscope write-ups and online workshops, which cost $10 to $48 per astrological event and have been mentioned in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and elsewhere, Nicholas focuses in particular on new moons. “Looking at each new moon as a way to focus, refocus, and center ourselves,” she said, “is an incredibly Jewish practice.” On her Instagram profile, she promises to “teach new moon workshops that help you make magic monthly,” and on her Twitter profile she labels herself a “feminist guide to the universe.”
Lanyadoo is an “astrologer and psychic medium” who charges $325 an hour and is booked until 2019. Her forthcoming book, Modern Lovers Guide to Astrology, due out in fall 2019, is about the astrology of relationships, offering “a feminist, queer inclusive, alternative lifestyle approach to issues with intimacy.” Now based in Oakland, she was raised in Montreal by “Yom Kippur Jews” who had “tarot cards and weed and cussing and music” at home. But on Fridays they went to her grandparents’ synagogue, with a mechitza, where “everyone was a Holocaust survivor or their descendant.” Simply put, “I am from very Jewish people,” Lanyadoo said.
Her father was born in Baghdad and raised in Israel, and her mother was the first born of Holocaust survivors from Poland. Lanyadoo learned to grapple with the dissonance between her Ashkenazi and Sephardic roots—and ultimately to translate between them. “Judaism,” she said, “is and always has been about wrestling, facing, grappling, asking the key questions.”
For Lanyadoo, this questioning is central to the work of astrology. She isn’t just predicting the future, but offering clients tools to face it now, with the stars and moons as informative guides. “I talk to people about their dating lives,” she said, offering “insights and strategies on how to navigate dating, sex, love, and boundaries and all of that important stuff.” Helping people find comfort in their own skin is vital, she said, and is “important to being able to identify and accept healthy love.”

Feminists who identity their deep centering Selves with the term witch are not being merely metaphorical, or cute, or popularizing, or "trivializing." I suggest, rather, that the reverse is true: that to limit the term to apply only to those who have esoteric knowledge of and participate formally in "the Craft" is the real reductionism. This is the case particularly since the cult, as Murray demonstrated (perhaps inadvertently), has been strongly invaded by patriarchal influences.
Together with Robin Morgan, who has done so much both to elicit in women the wide and deep intuition of the meaning of Witch and to resist simple vulgarization, I hope that more feminists will give to the study of witches “the serious study that it warrants, recognizing it as a part of our entombed history, a remnant of the Old Religion which pre-dated all patriarchal faiths and which was a Goddess-worshipping, matriarchal faith . . . [reading] the anthropological, religious, and mythographic studies on the subject.” Hopefully, in doing so we will not sacrifice the original vigor and integrity that inspired the "New York Covens" in the late sixties to proclaim:
“You are a Witch by saying aloud, "I am a Witch" three times, and thinking about that. You are a Witch by being female, untamed, angry, joyous, and immortal.”
Many women have understood this identity of the Witch within, the Self who is the target of the fathers' attacks and the center of original movement. Barbara Ehrenreich and Deirdre English did much to spread knowledge among women of the role of the witches as midwives and healers, showing that their suppression coincided with the creation of a new male medical profession. In the early seventies, Andrea Dworkin named the witchcraze for what it is: gynocide. She showed its interconnectedness with other horrors such as foot-binding, fairy tales, rape, and pornography. Others have searched out pieces of the mosaic which are not easy to find.
Such works should be valued for igniting the Spark which inflames the desire to search further. There is much to be done. Working with increased confidence and precision, Hags must continue in the spiritual tradition of such visionaries as Matilda Joslyn Gage, continuing to uncover our past and paths to our future. This will be possible to the degree that we continue with courage in the Journey of our own time/space. Seeing through the fraudulent re-presentations of the witchcraze will help us recognize the tactics of today's Male Midwives, the professional Wizards who have unsuccessfully "succeeded" the Wise Women—the Unhealers of Modern Medicine.

ok so i spent all yesterday working on my hunger games ttrpg system, and i want to share some stuff and be insufferable about it :)
i made 4 different archetypes (aka classes) with 3 subcategories each:
fighter:
soldier — trained by peacekeepers or esteemed mentors, a soldier is disciplined and intelligent in the art of battle. they see combat as a game of chess for them to dominate.
brute — without proper training, brutes learned to fight through experience and necessity. what they lack in finesse, they make up for in untamed brutality.
striker — strikers are gifted in hand-to-hand combat, focusing on swiftness and speed. a weapon is dangerous in their hand, but their bare hands are just as deadly.
rogue:
assassin — assassins are hired killers adept in infiltration and killing. some do it for profit, but others do it for the art of it.
hunter — a hunter is a warrior of the wilderness. they know how to hunt and survive on the margins of society, using nature to their advantage.
swindler — a swindler’s strength lies in both their knife and their words. their training relies on speed, wit, and intrigue to fool targets and steal whatever their hearts (or contracts) desire.
performer:
musician — finding a home in the limelight, musicians can entertain with their stage presence and charm audiences or restore vitality through song.
actor — actors are masters of theater, able to perform under the most dire of circumstances and harness the power of well-spoken words to influence those around them.
craftsman — craftsmen are less flashy than other performers, but their creativity can create both beautiful art as well as weapons made to deceive audiences.
scholar:
engineer — engineers are gifted tinkerers. whether self-taught or under mentorship, they can create helpful tools or even weapons of mass destruction with nothing but scraps.
medic — medics are skilled healers. when themself or others are injured, being adept with needles or medicine could mean the difference between life and death.
naturalist — naturalists are savvy in the ways of nature and its order. they know which plants are edible, where to find water, and if that snake bite was venomous.
players unlock feats specific to their subclass everytime they level up. there are only 3 levels: base level for training, median level for the first half of the games, then advanced level for the second half of the games.
i didn’t want to make players op by having a lot of levels or having levels that they won’t event reach because getting that much xp is impossible. but i also wanted to keep it interesting and guarantee that they will see their tribute improve, so i made the leveling up timeline based instead of xp based.
i also made backgrounds for the players to choose from, so here those are too:
rebel
spy
hermit
peacekeeper
elitist
criminal
entertainer
brawler
champion
artisan
academic
addionally, i made a needs threshold system as well, so while playing you need to take care of: hunger, thirst, sanity, carrying capacity, exposure, and sponsors. needs like hunger, thirst, and exposure are constantly depleting, while sanity loss will need to be determined by rolling a 1d6 whenever specific scenarios happen— there’s a whole Thing for sanity that i won’t get into because there’s a lot to it.
i kept the system similar to how dnd operates. so that means there are armor classes, movement speeds, proficiencies, abilities, etc etc. all that fun nerdy stuff.
and i also created a trait system! where with each level up they get to pick an additional trait with every level up. some traits are:
lifted burdens: your carrying capacity increases by 5. at the advanced level, it increases to 10.
strong-minded: your sanity threshold increases by 5. at the advanced level you take half damage to your sanity.
affluent: you begin with, or gain, 1 sponsor that cannot be revoked (but is only available to tributes from career districts). this affect stacks with every level.
intuition: you can track time, direction, and detail with precision. your wisdom increases by 1. you always know which way is north, the number of hours left before the next sunrise or sunset, and you can accurately recall anything you have heard or seen throughout the entire game.
star quality: you gain +2 to all charisma checks
this is all subject to change and improvement! i’m still working out a lot of things, but these are some of the bare-bones basics!
there won’t be too many abilities/feats for them to get (as it’s just one feat + trait per level, so only 6 new features total), so my next idea is to potentially have perks, and maybe even disadvantages, according to which district your tribute is from.
nothing too intense, but small and simple things like maybe having a “district dice” that you roll on checks relating to your district’s main industry, but you can only use that dice like 3 times total during the campaign. just an idea.

What career suites you best based on destiny matrix? (part 2/3) part 1
To find out what career suits you best and what can you do to succeed, we have to look at the number under the dollar sign.
note: there are so many different career choices and the options I'm listing here are just general examples based. you're free to choose any career, and hopefully, you don't feel pressured by this post to suddenly become philosopher.

8 - Justice
People with justice energy are successful in any field related to the rights and law. They are good at collecting, processing and summarising information. Intuitively they find the right solution from a variety of options.
The most suitable career:
lawyer, judge
accountant
referee
jeweller
saper
Challenges that affect career:
being too straightforward
depending on other people's opinions
being overly responsible and idealistic
9 - Hermit
People with hermit energy work are responsible and curios, they are always driven to expand their knowledge. They also prefer to work alone and doing solo projects than working in a team.
The most suitable career:
small business owner
philosopher
scientist
mentor in spiritual practices
archeologist
art critic
Challenges that affect career:
being shy/scared to ask for better pay
rejecting team work
not using your knowledge in practice
lack of ambitions
10 - Wheel of Fortune
People with wheel of fortune energy generally very lucky when it comes to money and career. Bun to achieve something they still must put in the work, being passive won't make them any good. They do especially well in freelance and in a career that doesn't have strict schedules.
The most suitable career:
freelance
PR-manager
record producer
croupier
editor
Challenges that affect career:
being passive
gambling
refusing to communicate with people
relying too much on fate
11 - Strength
People with strength energy have great spiritual and physical strength. However, only good intentions can bring them financial abundance and successful career.
The most suitable career:
sportsman
personal trainer
animal trainer
policeman, firefighter
life coach
Challenges that affect career:
not being able to rest
habit of postponing
stubbornness
12 - Hanged Man
People with this energy have an ability to see thing from different point of view. Also, they are very persistent, empathic and creative. Very important note: take credit for your work and don't be afraid to ask for money for your work!
The most suitable career:
acting
artist
rescue worker
medical worker
Challenges that affect career:
negative thinking
trying to help everyone around (and forgetting to help yourself first)
feeling guilty for your work
not being able to say 'no'
taking more responsibility than you can handle
13 - Death
People with this energy are more likely to experience major changes in their career throughout their life. For example, they can have degree and experience in engineering and then suddenly quit to start working as a fitness instructor. And they go through this transformation flawlessly.
The most suitable career:
surgeon
funeral director
auctioneer
esotericist
Challenges that affect career:
resisting changes
rushed decisions
advice: you might be into taboo and risky business and that's why you need to be conscious and careful when it comes to your decisions and choices.
14 - Temperance
People with temperance energy need work-life balance like no-one else, because only then they will be able to become successful. They are creative, diplomatic, peaceful and usually they are against "hustle lifestyle".

I fully admit that even I have yet to really figure out the extent of like what Tim / his magic can like do.
Being well made of/from it, changing up his form be it keeping disguise and hiding the less the human bits or taking on full draconic form both use/need magic.
In a way it's likely at least partially the reason behind his strength, despite his size.
But like in terms of like actual skills or idk spells?
[holy shit this got waaaay long so put it under a cut lol]
Always flip flopped between if he breathes fire - like I never actually had him do it but I imagine maybe he could. Although if he did it as not full dragon probably hurts a lot, not badly injured perse just a very uncomfy feeling might leave his voice a bit raspy for little bit.
As much as he'd like to be, he's not much of a healer. Look he has tried and with more effort and training to some degree he likely could use his magic to heal. At the very least in an emergency situation a temporary help (slow bleeding/ hold something into place, though doing such would surely be very draining on him. (Makes up for it though with having fairly good first aid and medical knowledge from his dad so not totally useless in that kind of situation)
magic or not his own body does have increased healing capabilities.
Honestly most of it probably tends to manifest in either defensive ways keep himself/someone else safe or when push comes to shove
He's definitely more sensitive and able to pick up on when it comes to magical objects- be they made with magic, have magic cast on them charm/curse and while I hesitate to say he can perfectly figure out/know but at the very least very intuitive at sensing if said magic is something dark/ malicious/ dangerous in nature or something more benign- So you know not always 'good' perse but certainly nothing dangerous or needing to worry about
With training and practice Timaeus eventually would be able to perhaps despell/remove some charms/curses/magic (Inspired by the Legendary Knight Timaeus Card who upon being summoned you can banish a spell or trap) Of course even he'd have limits depending on how strong he may only be able hold it temporarily
Being something of a literal creature of magic if need he could/can draw magical energy from another to like strengthen himself. He sort of already unconsciously does it- but very very minor and not enough to affect the other person but like there is sort of a different feeling he gets when around others who have magic. Really it's only more recently he's slowly started to notice/piece together that like that there have been times where after spending time around /with someone (Yami, Mana, ect...) who has magic even if he was really exhausted before he doesn't feel quite as tired after.
That said if he's touching someone- and in this case also needs to be a voluntary choice and would never do it without asking first. He can basically use/take advantage of the other's magic and it will strengthen him
--
Though under utilized fact is that to an extent the magic which makes him, his magic although he has gained a far stronger grasp of it. It's not exactly stable , predictable and makes him unpredictable.
Sadly he was labled as 'failure' for a reason.
Part of that was from their own ideal of not thinking him suitable i.e. obedient enough or thinking he would ever be to be of use- plus growth was to slow for their liking and some other perhaps seeming arbitrary reasons.
However a big one was, a clear lack of control. Which sure some of it came from him just being this under developed lab creature without proper direction ect but there were signs that the magic and the 'experiment' / Tim wasn't exactly stable.
At one point he lashed out and attacked one of the scientists (and uh killed him). Marking him as dangerous.
And although he seemed okay after well there was no knowing if he'd suddenly turn on them, or if this creature would lose the ability to control itself with the strength of its magic in a constant state of flux and they couldn't get it to stabilize.
--
Somewhere, somehow Tim's dad was able to get his hands on a sort of charm that kind of dampened down some of that excess magic. Not a perfect solution but it helped/helps keep his magic more in check. Sort siphons off some of the excess / overflow during rises in it.
There is some connection with magic to his emotional state - though it's hard to say which way it goes. Emotion affect magic or does magic affect his emotional state, might be a mix of both. During high stress/ emotional times there's certainly an influx and can be harder to control.
That said the charm isn't a permanent solution and every so often he does kinda have to do a magic decompression if you will and just kinda allow a large release of magic. Usually by taking dragon form and going off somewhere away from any risk of harming someone and mostly just waiting it out that way.
With having gained more control he doesn't always need to wear / have the charm on him and can manage without it but that doesn't mean he won't.
The very unstable nature is why for a long time, he tended not to be able to keep control of maintaining his human appearance once night came (something something magic connected to night something something)
Thankfully such instances are a lot rarer for him now as he's slowly gained better habits of managing his magic though that doesn't mean he still doesn't fear for it happening. So he tends to be a lot more careful in the evening and why he doesn't go out as much as he'd like- or will go and find the least populated areas if he does.
#about tim#timaeus locri#muse thoughts#aus and headcanons#ooc#I'd also say while not immune to all definitely very resistant to some magic / spells what have you#Oh look me suddenly remembering and bringing back Tim's charm#also working in previous old lore things I had (anyone else here/remember when Tim would just revert to his more inhuman form at night)
