The Ugly Truth: Venus Signs

Aries Venus gets bored easily in relationships of all kind. Gotta be challenging, varied, interesting, or crazy to keep them. 

Taurus Venus can easily get stuck in ruts when it comes to friendships and partners. They base security in relationships and find it hard to leave unhealthy or negative unions. 

Gemini Venus is hard to satisfy in love. Their needs vary and they are naturally hard to keep up with in a relationship.

Cancer Venus easily slips into dependent relationships and has issues with babying others or wanting to be babied.

Leo Venus easily falls or produces unbalance or unfairness in relationships. Part of their path is to learn selfless love.

Virgo Venus struggles with their standards/expectations of love. Disappointment is common for them in friendships and romance.

Libra Venus struggles to find what they want and need out of love. They  need a lot of time and experience to truly know if they love you or to discover who is good for them.

Scorpio Venus easily gives into mind games either on their end or attracts those who play. They crave emotional stimulants.

Sagittarius Venus will not settle down easily. They have a need for freedom, exploration, and excitement in personal affairs.

Capricorn Venus isn’t one for the impatient, they make their move slowly and when they want. They also aren’t one for the high-maintenance or who needs a lot of emotional coddling. 

Aquarius Venus will always have a detached part of them in relationships. Can lack in reassurance.

Pisces Venus falls easily for romance, charm, or someone in need of help. After the intoxocation wears off they can be disappointed or disinterested.

Kitchen - the smell of home baking, bringing in treats for your friends and family, mum friend 200%, probably has some form of sweets in them at any given time, disapproving glares, piles of cookbooks on every surface, thrives on the approval of others, a lil too nice

Storm - mood swings, staring out the window for hours, the smell when it rains, tangible tension, the feeling you get when you know somethings going to happen, biting your nails, restlessness, long runs, messy paintings to clear the mind, planning ahead

Fire - gets really fixated on things, dark satisfaction, has literally no regard for health and safety, how are you still alive, ‘I wonder what would happen if I set this on fire?’, based on the time I poured nail varnish remover on a candle, boom, hates authority with a passion

Eclectic - very creative, go with the flow, has like five different sets of friends, constantly changing, perceptive, lotsa self confidence, indecisive, beautiful calligraphy, eight different tabs open, all full of research, paint stained, open minded, singing in the street

Solitary - being alone doesn’t make you lonely, comfortable in themselves, confident, doesn’t like routine, not a massive fan of authority, stubborn, quick learner, forever curious, will stay up late researching random things, poetry in the dark, podcasts, experimenting 24/7

Draconic - a badass, secretive, loves watching the moon, is amazing with works, strong minded, dark makeup, owns too many notebooks, fiery personality, thrives in the night, accessories, detailed notes, quiet, passionate about beliefs, loves animals

Bonfires - always has an edge of danger, like they could flip their shit at any moment and nobody would be shocked, has at least 38 weird stories nobody believes, they’re all true, will just laugh at you if you question them, mysterious backstory, loves family so much

Pumpkin spice - talks too much and too fast, is aware of it and does not care, unashamedly themselves, the caffeine addiction is real and it’s concerning, you either hate them or you love them, such a loyal friendship group, actually studies, collects something

Oversized jumpers - snugging with a warm drink and Netflix, the nice feeling when you do something productive/healthy, m u m f r i e n d 1 0 0 %, giggly and adorable, asks stupid questions in the middle of an unrelated conversation, gets excited when they see a dog

December: Quiet with a rich inner world, keeps their bedroom gently lit with fairy lights and flickering candles, cat-person,  loves stargazing and the scent of freshly peeled oranges,  finds beauty in solitude, big fan of bedtime and hot cocoa, still has their favorite childhood blanket, collects fantasy novels, stays up all night writing stories, never lost their sense of magic. 

January: Down-to-earth but optimistic,  soft neutral sweaters, drinks vanilla lattes,  little bit of a neat-freak, collects stationery,  knows how to ice skate,  good at origami and interior design, stays in touch with all their childhood friends,  steady-handed master of the bullet journal and decorating sugar cookies, loves The Good Place and IKEA, always looking for new beginnings. 

February: Restless with intense emotions, musically talented and boisterously funny, flushed cheeks, catches snowflakes on their tongue, has insatiable wanderlust, muddy doc-martins and goofy thrift-store sweaters, sends really long texts, prone to art museum dates and spur-of-the-moment haircuts, believes in the power of tenderness,  loves sour candy and grand gestures.

MARCH: Elusive and nostalgic, regularly cries to Sufjan Stevens, stargazes on rooftops, feels soothed by the sound of thunder, writes poetry about complicated relationships, infj, owns a lot of scarves and tea,  lives in daydreams, sometimes has trouble feeling connected to the physical world, favorite color is purple. 

APRIL: Empathetic and hilarious, has had their hair dyed a million different colors, probably an air sign, plays either trumpet or guitar or maybe both, summer camp counselor energy, compares all their friends to Adventure Time characters, loves frogs and rainbows, handy with sidewalk chalk and dandelion crowns. 

MAY: Sincere sweetheart, avid journaler,  talks to their stuffed animals, paints with watercolors, looks cute in yellow, early riser who makes great breakfast, always snacking on berries, knows the names of flowers, owns at least one straw hat, The Grandma Friend, runs a cottagecore blog, has a lot of mason jars, loves cats.

🍂 September:  Loves Twin Peaks and Donna Tart novels, wears a lot of sepia and olive green, lovingly keeps journals and scrapbooks, soft-spoken and precise, writes poetry, practical on the outside but a hopeless romantic underneath, probably an English major, owns a tweed jacket, nostalgic for decades they never experienced, always has bobby pins, hobbies include Yearning and Pining. 

🍂 October: chipped dark nail polish, crooked grins, baggie striped sweaters and beanies, mischievous, loves true crime podcasts and Tim Burton movies, wolves have always been their favorite animal, Feral Bastard, always trying to convince their friends to go ghosthunting, feels most alive at night, knows their way around the woods, in love with Mothman and Velma Dinkley, sarcastic, hungry for adventure. 

🍂 November:   Always wearing about 5 layers of clothing, massive cardigans, black boots, wise- eyed old soul, gives great advice, knits and hats scarves for all their friends, loves foxes, bakes a mean apple pie, comforting vibes, introvert,  house that always smells like clove and cinnamon, lives for rainy nights and Over the Garden Wall, weighted blanket enthusiast, devoted cat parent.

Victorian: lacy dresses, romanticizes the past, blushing cheeks, reading on a rainy day, believes in ghosts, melancholic, longing sighs, unexplained pains, ribbons in their hair, writes as a hobby

Log cabin: hot cocoa, solitude, the smell of pine, unknown sounds from the forest, pillows and blankets everywhere, stoic on the outside warm on the inside, starless nights, not easily hurt, rough hands

Mansion: spiraling staircases, silk fabrics, Greek statues, sharp eyebrows, appreciation for artwork, filled with secrets, perfectionist, lowkey always salty, cursive writing, cardigan sweaters, pleated skirts

ares: metal chains, a cigarrette hanging from your fingers, jet black sunglasses, winks, crying loudly, the smell of the campfire, intelligent although everyone believes they are dumb, watching the orange gloom of pollution at 4 am in the city, side smiles, ambition.

hades: hand kisses, side looks, wearing too many pairs of socks, cold, understanding love, silence and serenity, looking sad and feeling low, crying while being angry, hands on the chest, falling in love heavily, creating a wall for people to not hurt you, looking through a window while light rain hits the glass, half light.

poseidon: wrath, feeling the ground trembling at your feet, the waves hitting the cliffs, strong temperament, stormy, competitiveness, playing chess on your own, reclusive, feeling you don’t spend enough time with the people you love, hoping time passes by fast, not wanting to grow up, being as mysterious as the ocean.

zeus: dark circles under the eyes for reading too much, falling in love easily, pride, stadium lights, the darkness right before the sunrise, your breath drawing in the air as a white cloud, fog, cold stone, being both an intellectual and an athlete, poor self esteem, always comparing to others, creation.

hermes: easy laughing, mischievous, whispered secrets, having lots of friends, feeling as if you were a toxic person, the trees dancing with the wind, a bird chirping at night, the sound of the water running, having the trust of people, a brief silence interrupted, nature, knowing.

hephaestus: taste of metal, rough hands, a computer running slow, the glow of the fire, sharp eyes, burns, unloveness, looking tough but being actually very sensitive, long showers with water so hot the air turns to mist, old films, making special gifts for your loved ones, ill-feeling.

Zeus: pristine white, bitter coffee, rainy days, black suits, the smell of freshly printed paper, easily angered, tense and frustrated silences, unhealthy relationships, bad coping mechanisms, leader personality, destruction of the people close to you, dark morals and angry glares 

Poseidon: false sense of security, messy hair, temper of a lion, tears mixing in with rain, no one understanding, fierce pride, angry outbursts, the smell of your hair after the beach, seeing the devastation of tsunamis on tv, bottling up feelings, self destructive, no one caring

Hades: dark aura, cold smiles, bitter comebacks, the smell of winter, harsh wind on your face, loneliness, cold coffee, forgotten books on dusty shelves, cold sheets, black clothes, a past of mistreatment, long forgotten revenge plans, a comfortable emptiness

Hera: sharp comebacks, angry eyes, rain beating down on your head, innocent turned broken, have had your spark stomped out, the smell of sodden flowers, hate for the world, justified outbursts, refusing to get help, crying yourself to sleep

Demeter: the ringing in your ears you get from silence, unread books on the shelf, country home, playing in a field, white sundresses, dipping your bare feet in a lake, fresh fruits and vegetables, nature, the smell of freshly cut grass, rooms lit by candles

Hestia: warm hugs, passive, sparkling eyes, deep conversations, forgotten or left out a lot, wool socks, oversized sweaters, holding a coffee mug with your sleeves around your palms, hair in French braids, the smell of homemade cookies, quiet encouragement

Ares: bruised knuckles, the coppery taste of blood, deadly glares, strong pride, bloodied reflections, picking fights, neon signs, fierce red and electric blue, combat boots, muscle shirts, cracking knuckles, not so subtle threats, middle fingers, hate for authority

Aphrodite: waking up at six to get ready, heels clicking across the floor, lipstick stains on coffee mugs, long hair in up do’s, the smell of roses and cotton candy,  sickly sweet smiles, subtle threats, twirling a piece of hair around your finger, bubblegum pink and blood red 

Athena: overcast, grey sweaters, books piled up on the bedside table, early riser, staying up at night reading, the smell of a new book, pages of writings around your room, fierce glares, debates, correcting teachers, polite until pissed off

Hephaestus: quiet but not shy, thinks a lot, the sun out on a cold day, calm and collected, dark grey, contemplative conversations, having a hobby that consumes your life, staying up at night looking at the stars, light breezes, probably have at least a mild dislike for your family

Dionysus: nights you don’t remember, numbing the pain, raising a glass, loud laughter, constantly on the brink of insanity or a breakdown, ignoring your problems, the smell of alcohol, crazed eyes, subtle pleas for help, living life on the edge, young blood

I’ve been kinda into the “types of people” thing and I’ve decided to make one. I know people have already made this one, but I swear it’s not the same. I think this is a good inspiration for writing or creating characters. Hope you like it!

Types of Humans- decades edition:

1910’s: Old peeling wallpaper, arranging flowers, waiting on a porch, handing over a handkerchief, finding something broken, one time truces, steaming cup of tea, big hats, sad smiles

1920’s: Champagne, big smiles, loud laughter, playing piano, pearls on bedside tables, dragging a friend to go dancing, cigarette smoke, white feathers, red lips, broken promises, forbidden glances, timeless beauty

1930’s: Broke and tired, frizzy hair, typewriters, sleeping on couches, yellow photographs, a garden of weeds, job applications, jazz music in the mornings, amused grins, filled up journals, stressed out work days, sleepy cuddles

1940’s: Book filled corners, bags under eyes, pots of coffee on the counter, newspapers on the table, torn open envelopes, hopeful looks, callused palms, old radios, working hard, supportive words
