Research showed consuming animal sourced foods is an important means of addressing India’s glaring nutritional deficiencies, however the current government has been targeting animal sourced food which could have adverse outcomes. Demand for meat bans have been echoed recently in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and also in Karnataka where, going a step further, a demand has emerged for a boycott or ban on halal meat. “Meat bans take a toll on vulnerable communities but this seems to be of no consequence to elected representatives who have convinced themselves that they cater to a narrow religious or caste group. We need to ensure that availability of meat is ensured as it is a rich source of protein for the development and growth of children,” stated Dr Sylvia Karpagam, noted medical practitioner and public health expert. According to a recent Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) report, South Asia has the lowest per capita availability of meat (19g/day) and India is the lowest in any country (10g/day).

The Bible got banned.

"I thank the Utah Legislature and Utah Parents United for making this bad faith process so much easier and way more efficient," the parent said in the complaint. "Now we can all ban books and you don’t even need to read them or be accurate about it. Heck, you don’t even need to see the book!"

An eight-page typed list of examples of objectionable material from the Bible, quoting the exact scriptures, was included in the complaint.

"Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide," the parent wrote. "You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition."

It's believed only seven or eight libraries in the district's elementary and junior high schools even had the Bible on their shelves and the book is not part of any school curriculum[.]

I know Rain isn’t Southern but he should be, and he is to me.

Because of this, he needs to get invited to a Team Barbecue at Victoria’s house. He needs to get hype all week about some pulled pork, ribs, other smoked meats, if they’re ketchup- or vinegar-based bbq sauce folks (not mustard, she’s not a heathen obv), only for Victoria’s Northern WASP ass to pull out some fuckin burgers and hotdogs.

When the Curtis parents passed away, Darry had been trying and leaning how to cook his Mom’s recipes so he could make his brothers happy. (I personally think food is one of his love languages) Anyways the first or second time he tried to make a recipe the gang went over for dinner, Dally made a comment about how it wasn’t good, how it was dry, something like that. Pony and Soda froze up because they knew how hard Darry was trying to cook. Darry was pissed but also so hurt.

oh wait no :( pony had soda were so mad and soda actually snapped he was like ‘if you don’t like it then don’t eat it and get the fuck out of my house’ (like even johnny was sending him dirty looks and trust me, when johnny is giving you dirty looks you know you fucked up) and after dally left the rest of the gang continued eating it even if it was really bad just because they didn’t want darry to think he wasn’t doing it right. i feel like their mom taught him the basics but it took a lot for him to be able to cook for three teenage boys (trust me teenage boys can eat a lot) but he’s obviously not perfect at it…neither of them eat a word when it is bad though. they’ll just eat it because they don’t want to see that look of absolute hurt in darry’s eyes like they did that one night.

dally can’t talk about cooking though. he fucked up spaghetti and meatballs to the point literally everybody in the gang got food poisoning except him. pony and soda were understandable because their stomachs are sensitive as fuck but darry and johnny could digest a can if they wanted. especially johnny like i know johnny has eaten literal garbage but somehow dally’s cooking was the limit

read far too many comments about how all pornography is evil and exploitative to women (first red flag, women are not the only performers in porn, lots of porn has exactly zero women performing) and should be banned because of how much it exploitsssss them

pornography is a job, it's exploitive because it is a job. the solution to that isn't "ban this industry" which would just leave pornography workers jobless and would be much more detrimental to them than giving them actual goddamn work protections.

When strippers in Washington state unionized and worked to pass a bill of rights to make their lives better they notably did not have stripping banned. They had the laws changed so they were better paid, better protected, and more enticing to a larger, less creepy, customer base. But I'm sure some swerf who refuses to ever consider what a stripper might have to say heard "Washington finally allows sale of alcohol in strip clubs" and assumed on behalf of the strippers that's it's their armageddon.
