Where The Magic Happens

What is it —

A 25 episode limited series event that's both a second yet truer Ben 10 reboot and an action-animated series that's a combination of not just action but also sci-fi, horror and magic.

PREMISE:

Set in the fictional Bellwood, California, we follow Gwendolyn "Gwen" Frankenstein, a 10 year old girl who is incredibly intelligent and well read for her age but at the same time she's also a rude, mean, obnoxious, spoiled and stuck-up brat who rarely gets into any trouble due to her manipulation skills. Her summer break has been planned out by herself and herself only and Gwen seems perfectly fine and comfortable being the awful know-it-all who nobody likes. That is until the night that summer vacation starts when Gwen is forced to answer the front door since she's the only one home, she is kidnapped and bagged by three women — her mother's closest friend Sandra Tennyson, her school principal April Munroe who's revealed to be a green skin alien named Xylene and one of her neighbors Camille Mann who's revealed too to be a dark purple skin sludge alien — who proceed to bring her to a deadly, twisted, boisterous, vile and sadistic femme fatale teen witch named Charmcaster that is responsible for the disappearances of several spoiled girls and has her eyes set now on making Gwen her 100th victim to add to her body count.

However, things that have already taken an unexpected turn takes another turn equally unexpected when Charmcaster decides to let Gwen go once she senses that unlike the other girls, she has a magical aura which leads to her giving Gwen her dark purple lipstick as a way to contact and have her come by and visit.

In doing so, this ends up setting off a chain of events that not only brings Gwen into this almost-hidden world of witches, wizards, aliens, creatures and enhanced robots but also has Gwen, Charmcaster, Sandra, Xylene and Camille form together as an unlikely team in order to take down the main threats that affects them all in some way, shape or form with each of them changing for the better in too their very own ways.

NOTES/TRIVIA/DETAILS:

• While the limited series will be done in the same animation style and overall aesthetic as the original Ben 10 series, it won't be the only thing that the show will share with the OG. The series will have the same dark and intense edge in this case to show the high stakes and danger that the characters are in especially Gwen who is devoured whole by Charmcaster who blows her out of her stomach later, has her nose fall off, is split in half, her eye squeezed so hard her pupil pops out of it and is kissed by Charmcaster on the cheek only for her lips to stick to it.

• Meagan Smith, Kari Wahlgren, Tara Strong and Grey DeLisle will all reprise their roles as Gwen, Charmcaster, Sandra, Xylene and Camille but will be given new and interesting material to work with and be given new and fresh takes on their previous characters.

• A perfect example of the type of dark storytelling that the limited series will have is that in a middle episode, Charmcaster finds that she accidentally traveled into the future and she's arrested by a police force with ways to block and subdue magic. Here, she discovers that not only is she the captain of this police force but that also she's a good guy and married to Gwen. We delve into what this does to Charmcaster and her having to come to grips with who she'll be.

• All five of the protagonists will each have their own distinctive arcs where they both learn, face and see the consequences of their actions and how it affects others, especially Gwen whose main arc is turning into a better, kinder and more caring person.

• The influences for the limited series are the following: Return To Oz, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003), The Incredibles, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Beware The Batman, in terms of the tone, dark edge and most of all style.

RECENT READS: I'm still currently on my readthrough of the Harry Potter books with Prisoner of Azkaban. It takes me awhile to get through reading books because of my cervical radiculopathy, but to make up for it I'm also reading a Snily fanfic called Sympathetic Magic and it's SOOOO GOOD!

INSPIRATION: Music, Sunlight, Friends, and also just giving all the obscure or underappreciated characters that authors didn't give love or development to the things they need. I love worldbuilding, character building and understanding what makes a character tic.

STORY BEHIND URL: I was looking for something that could fit a Multi-muse account. I've always had a fascination with astronomy and I love stories involving fate, destiny, soulmates, all that magical stuff, so this blog was made. I used to be known as @starwrittendestinies at one point, but of course I deleted it and then tried to remake it, but got locked out. I like starwrittenfates better anyway.

FUN FACT ABOUT ME: Misha Collins threw a cookie at me during Comic Con. It was awesome (and a really good cookie.)

Pet Peeve (Transformers Animated story)

Pairings: Prowl x Oc, Bumblebee x Oc, Oc x Oc

Summary: Meagan gets a pet snake. But Crusher is uncomfortable with her choice. However, there's something special about Meagan's new pet.

Location: The pet store.

Meagan, Grim, and Crusher were looking at potential pets. Meagan looked at the reptiles. Especially the snakes, back when she was younger, she was terrified of snakes. But as an adult, she loves them and would like to have one as a pet. She noticed a black and white striped snake that looked back. "Hey guys, check this guy out." She said as the two stepbrothers came to take a look. But Crusher shudders as he sees it. "Um, it's a cool looking snake, but why not get a bunny?" He said as he pointed at the rabbits with his thumb. "Sorry, my parents back at home warned me that rabbits are hard to manage. Snake and reptiles are easier." She explained as he looked at the snake. An employee walked by and noticed the three agents. "Oh, I see you like that California kingsnake." She said, Meagan turned to look at her. "Yes. I sense a bond with me and him." Meagan said as she saw the snake get closer to the glass of his tank. He seemed to like Meagan as he followed her, moving away from the tank. "Huh, that's odd. He normally ignores people." The employee said. "How'd you guys get a California Kingsake?" Grim asked as he remembered that those are mostly found in California, as the name suggests. "A snake handler from the zoo brought him to us as a hatchling. He's still new to the store." The employee explained. Meagan looked at the snake and made the ultimate decision. "I'll be glad to take him off your hands." She said as Crusher looked at her in disbelief. "But Meagan, what if it bites you?" He asked. "Oh, he doesn't really bite people. He normally eats mice." The employee said, taking the snake out and handing him to Meagan. Grim looked at his stepbrother. "Look, I know you are afraid of snakes, but Meagan seems happy with it. So take it as an opportunity to face your fear." He said, Crusher sighed, he doesn't like it, but he knows that California kingsnake aren't venomous. "Alright, she can keep him." He said in defeat.

Bulkhead waited for them and saw Meagan holding a terrarium with the snake inside. "I see you got a pet." He said as he transformed into his robot mode. The snake seemed afraid at first. "It's ok, Stripes. Bulkhead is a friend." Meagan said, the snake understood and calmly lowered its guard. This is the first time it saw an army truck transformed into a robot. It hissed in the same pattern as it contorted its body, mimicking Bulkhead. Bulkhead noticed that and chuckled. "Hey, it transformed!" He said amusingly. "I think he likes you, Bulkhead." Meagan said as the green Autobot transformed back into vehicle mode. Meagan, Grim, and Crusher got in with the pet supplies for Stripes. "So why'd you call him Stripes?" Bulkhead asked as he drove away from the pet shop. "Because he's got black and white stripes." Meagan said. Bulkhead laughed, "Oh, I get it, that's a good name for him." He said

At the Hideout

The rest of the team looked at Meagan holding Stripes. He's already been introduced to them as they came here. "So you're saying it hissed the sound we make when we transform?" Bumblebee asked her. "Yup, Stripes, show them what you did in front of Bulkhead." She said, placing the snake on the ground. Stripes hissed the transforming sound and contorted his body again in front of them. "A snake that can mimic sound just by hissing? Now that's awesome!" Skya said. "Impressive." Prowl said, impressed with Meagan's new pet. Shadow Mist gently picked up Stripes with a single digit, and she noticed that the snake wasn't slimy but smooth. "How long do you think he'll grow?" She asked. "According to the pet shop employee, he'll grow to two to four feet long." Meagan answered as Shadow Mist lowered her arm, and Stripes slithers off towards Meagan arm. Crusher is still uncomfortable with the snake, but he remembers what his stepbrother said. He needs to face his fear of snakes. Crusher cautiously got closer to Meagan. "Um, Meagan, is it ok if I pet Stripes?" He asked. His stepbrother looked shocked that Crusher asked her to pet the snake. "Are you sure? I know how you feel about snakes." Meagan answered, Crusher nods and slowly pets Stripes, who allowed him. Crusher let out a sigh of relief, for the snake didn't bite him. Meagan smiled to see her teammate brave enough to face his fears.

The next day, while patrolling at the park

Stripes grew accustomed to the Autobots and the agents. He's happy that Meagan adopted him. He even joined in on patrolling. Like today when he joined on patrol with Meagan, Shadow Mist, Prowl, and Grim. But they were stopped as Prowl sensed two decepticon spark beats. As Starscream and his female clone, Slipstream transformed and landed in front of them. They laughed maniacally as the two Autobots transformed after their partners got off. "Starscream!!" Meagan yelled as she then noticed Slipstream for the first time. "Uh, wait, hold on. Since when did you have a sister?" She asked, "I'm not his sister, you dense organic, I'm his clone!!" Slipstream yelled at her, "Meagan, I suggest that you put Stripes in the grass." Grim said as Meagan as she was told and put Stripes in the grass. "You stay here. Mommy is about to fight some cons." She said as she took out her katana and joined the battle. Civilians were cleared from the area. Meagan and Shadow Mist fought against Slipstream as Starscream had to deal with Prowl and Grim. Stripes looked in worry for his owner as Slipstream kicked Meagan outta the fight, followed by Shadow Mist, who was getting exhausted. Starscream was about to win his fight as well. Stripes hissed in so much anger that his stripes turned from black and white to rainbow. He stared floating and attacked Slipstream by emitting a powerful small cyclone at her that was able to cause damage as she screamed in pain. "What in all of Primus is going on!!" Starscream yelled at her before seeing that she was fighting Stripes. Meagan got up and saw that Stripes was fighting against Slipstream, but she noticed something different about him and filmed it with her phone. Prowl took this distraction as an opportunity to sneak attack Starscream while Shadow Mist got back up and attacked Slipstream as Stripes cleared the cyclone. The other Autobots and the agents came in just in time as backup to see Stripes causing cyclones around the two seekers. He stopped as he noticed that they had enough and floated down. He sees that Meagan was ok and calmed down, returning to his original color. Meagan stopped recording as she ran to him and picked him up. "Wow! Stripes, I didn't know you could do that." Meagan said in surprise. Starscream and Slipstream got up and noticed that they were out numbered. They then get a call from their leader and flew away from the park. Optimus looked at them as they flew off, but he then looked at Meagan's snake. "Was that really Stripes?" He asked. Stripes hissed in response towards them. Flora translated for him, "He said it was him, saying that he felt so angry that some type of power within him that he became a different color and attacked Slipstream and Starscream with cyclones." She said in translation. "What got you angry, little guy?" PixelSpark asked. Stripes hissed again. "He wanted to save Meagan." Flora said as Stripes slithers towards Meagan, who picked him up. "I may have to report this to Director Mavis." She said

Later at the Mansion of Unknown.

Meagan reported and sent the video of Stripes. According to Director Mavis, he might be the reincarnation of the rainbow serpent of Australia mythology. Meagan ended the call with Director Mavis and looked at her special little buddy with pride. "You are something else, Stripes." She said as Stripes mimic the transforming sound again, making her smile.

As I am almost 30 I changed a lot since young. I used to love coffee, hot chips, and junk food and fast food.

Now, I don't like coffee anymore. I only like purple taro boba tea. I don't like other boba flavors. I couldn't get into it. I am starting to like milk and white chocolate. Since my friend has been giving me chocolates to feel happier. Dark chocolate is too bitter for me. I am getting tired of pizza. I am starting to like medieval food. I like eating healthy minus salads. I want my vegetables to be cooked and seasoned.

I used to like pink and blue as a kid. I now like teal and green.

Aurora and Jasmine used to be my favorite Disney princess and Heroines. Now these are these I like and inspire to be.

Miss Heed Roleplaying With Her Boytoys (Cue Anger From Meagan And Green Rod If They Found Pictures Of It)

As said before, I like to think Miss Heed while she had these two as her bodyguards also liked playing around with them like if they were her toys. I like to think she would do roleplay like this scenario in this fanart of them doing the Phantom of the Opera with Coyote as the phantom and Omega as Raoul. I like to imagine Heed loved the aspect of having both the traditional hero and a bad boy villain under her thumb.

I like to imagine she kept photos of them and had them enact her fantasies in her room and didn't have any cameras to interrupt her playtime. So, I imagine with the diary that Heed kept she would have photos from their playtime and Meagan would find it and share with Green Rod which would lead both women going Demencia mode. Seriously, they both are protective of their boyfriends after what happened under Miss Heed. Meagan would probably have flames coming out her mouth and eyes while with Green Rod it's a green cartoon nuke that could create a crater. If they don't want to burn them, they probably would at least cut off Heed out of it because their men do still look good in those suits.

Ben 10: And Then There Were Ten

What is it —

An animated mini-series that is not only the second reboot of Ben 10, but is a complete clean slate with its own standalone continuity as it's a reboot and should be like that without having to tie into any sort of multiverse.

PREMISE:

Set in the fictional Bellwood, California, summer vacation has arrived and 10 year old cocky and childish but good-hearted Benjamin "Ben" Tennyson is more than looking forward to it as he just can't seem to catch a break especially when wanting to help others around him in need. It's here that he learns his mother Sandra, a once successful and big-shot lawyer now turned stay-at-home mom, is planning to spend the entire three month summer break finally getting to fully know her son since they were incredibly close when he was young but of course things changed once Ben grew up. This does not please Ben to say the least.

But what he doesn't know is that this summer, his entire life will forever change and lead him on the pathway to becoming a true hero when after walking off by himself into the Bellwood Forest as him and his mother are out camping and get into an argument, a shooting star comes down from the sky and nearly crashes into Ben. The "star" is revealed to be a pod that opens to reveal a glowing green device that looks like a watch it contains..... that proceeds to immediately attach itself to his left wrist.

Ben quickly learns that the watch gives him the ability to transform into over ten different aliens of all different shapes, sizes and powers. Finally realizing he can help people in need, he sees this as a way to become a hero.

However, in doing so, Ben finds himself the target of several extraterrestrial forces either wanting the watch for their own use or retrieving it for ruthless galactic warrior Vilgax with his sights set on it and sets off a chain of events that reveal his mother's secret past, the revelation of others' true identities and dragging two people into their own scenarios — Ben's crush Julie Yamamoto discovering their principal is in fact an alien named Xylene and Ben's rival Gwendolyn "Gwen" Frankenstein being kidnapped and put into the hands of deadly teenage sorceress Charmcaster.
