"What did you say," I ask, looking at her laughing. I'm sitting here with one of my closest friends, smoking. After work, I've been looking for stress relief, and what better way to be calm and cool than weed. I'm surprised I managed to get Bada to agree to smoking weed. She doesn't really have an issue with it she just chose not to do it. Which I respect, so after the first offer over what seemed to feel like a year ago, I simply stopped asking. I didn't want her to think she had to smoke because I did. So I let it go. Until today, after she pulled up to my house to hang, she asked if she could take a hit.

It startled me. She simply smiled and asked again. And I had to ask her if she was sure cool with doing it. I had completely forgotten we were supposed to hang out while I was just chilling on my balcony staring at the stars. Sitting in complete silence, she finally spoke up again, "Come on, don't look at me like that. I just wanna know. Are you really gonna make me say it again?" I start to laugh at loud. Still taken a back by what she just asked me, it's weird especially coming from Bada Lee of all people. "You just practically asked me when I knew I liked vagina for sure. Sorry if I'm not supposed to be shocked." She turns her head, looking back at the city rolling her eyes playfully.

"It was simply a question Janna, don't go jumping to conclusions." I stare at her face for a while, looking for any sign of lie on her face. Before I sigh and decide to play into this weird conversation. Many may have thought at first glance that Bada was the gayest person you'd ever see. I mean shit I thought she was gay and my gay alerting system was never wrong well until I met her. She has both masculine and feminine traits, and it seems as if God took every step of his way to carve out every detail that was strictly for women. When I found out she was straight, I literally felt lied to. Then, I thought maybe she was simply confused and that thought distinguished when she started dating Howl, well until now.

"Are you attracted to women?" She tried to avoid eye contact with me after she heard the question, "Come on, let's go to my room." I told her as I grabbed her wrist and led her back inside the house into my bedroom. I Thinking maybe it would be better if she was comfortable with the situation. "So, have you found any girls catching your eye? And I mean in like a I wanna date or fuck her type of way not a, oo she is pretty. Even a straight person can acknowledge that a member of the same sex is good-looking, but do you feel a certain type of way?" She is caught guard by all the information I just laid on her and just says yes. "So you found girls attractive, or is there a girl in mind?" She turns away from me and moves from the floor to my bed and sits down while grabbing my pillow to hold.

"There is this girl. At first, I was questioning why I would like her like that because we don't really have a lot in common, you know. Like I'm a dancer, and she is a full-time student working her way to be working as an attorney. But spending time with her had made me feel things, you know. That not even Howl made me feel. It's scary if I'm being real right now. But I don't know." I look at her smiling in amazement for being able to actually express her feelings to me all in one go. With most people, they tend to sit there and beat around the bush to avoid telling people they like certain things. "Wow, you said you know like twice someone is down bad, I see. I'm not judging, though I'm actually quite happy you were able to admit all that. I'm proud of you."

She turns away, getting shy, while trying to distract herself by rolling up the pillow in her hand into a ball and hitting it. "Thanks, Janna. So now, can you answer my question? Maybe it might help me realize if I actually have genuine feelings for her." I stare up at the ceiling trying to remember the question she asked me until it eventually hits me. "Oo, ok, so I was like 13 years old. Spending the night at my close friends house for the first time. I mean, you know how my parents are, and she suggested playing this game of true or dare. While playing, somehow she dared me to kiss her, and I leaned in and just went for it, it kinda got a bit weird for us after that, but I started seeing women differently. Like, it wasn't just a wow she is pretty vibe anymore. I wondered how it would feel to date them. Then I dated a girl. While it was an experiment for her, it meant a lot to me. It did hurt when she didn't end up being into girls, though it helped me figure out my sexuality."

As I finished speaking, we just sat there in silence, I noticed that Bada was looking at me a bit unusual. It took a while for me to understand what was wrong. Had I said something? Though, when I caught her eyes dipping down to my lips and then my chest, only for them to get stuck there while biting her lips. I realized when was going on. So I just went for it, not thinking about the consequences. I grabbed her and placed it on my breast, making sure to hold her hand while doing it. "Bada, the girl were talking about. Do I perhaps know her? Or is it me, it's ok you can tell me?" She slowly gulps, but it seems she can't take her eyes off her hand. I move to take her hand off when she grips my breast, causing me to let out a whimper. "If I said it was, what would be your response?" I move closer to her and grab her other hand, placing it on my other breast. "I would say that means you're basically my girlfriend because I've been in love with you for a while." She looks uo at me like I've held the galaxy up.

The idea of someone looking at me with this much love has always been something I dreamed of. "Would you like to see them, you know, to complete your first gay mission." I say, gesturing to my boobs while laughing. She stares at me getting nervous again, she is so fucking cute right now. "You don't have to baby". "Oo, we are already on pet names. Someone is a bit bold. But I really want to, baby." I say while slowly moving my hand towards her neck to pull her closer. Our noses touching, yet is never feels close enough. We glance down at each other's lips before she speaks up again, causing me to smile. "Well, then baby, who am I to stop you." We both make our way to lean in, the kiss is so fucking good I forget we need air. She makes her way to move away, but I continue to make out with her passionately.

"Baby, wait, look, I've never done this before. Least not with a girl, but I really really wanna fuck you right now." She says while looking at me grabbing my hips with one hand still on my breast. I place my hands on my breasts, I am by no means insecure, though it's fun to tease her. I turn around to face her while making sure to make direct eye contact, and for the first time tonight, she can't look away from my eyes. It's almost like she is challenging me to look away. I keep my hands there for a while until she looks down at them. "Please, for the love of God, baby, don't do this to me right now." I slowly walk over to her. She's has moved towards the edge of the bed. Waiting with anticipation. I get on top of a lap while still looking at her eyes, refusing to me the one to break eye contact. LOL about the routes. indeed, if you don't realize that actually all the "routes" are mandatory parts of the story until the finale then it can be confusing if you thought you were going for a specific char early on or something 🤣 it's not like the games where you can pick your route and then the rest of the game is that route

hahaha yeah i wouldn't say there's a "canon" ending. for one, i feel like that would kinda defeat the point of having different possibilities to begin with. why make other choices if there's only ever one canon ending? i want people to be able to choose however they want the story to end. i mostly connected the neutral ending to OC as a sort of self-indulgent gift to myself, because i thought it would be very sweet if iggy would still have a chance to find companionship with one of his friends later on even if he chose to focus on himself first. like that it just keeps it open. i also just thought it'd be a fun easter egg to give ppl more incentive to at least try the neutral route as i figure most ppl would not choose that route as it's kinda short compared to the others and doesn't give as much closure to the other chars

Anyways I really loved this book, the intrigue was so well written, romance was heavily... touch driven? It was mostly expressed through actions, which was super cool. Two MCs are much deeper than the first few chapters show, you don't stop learning new things about them up untill the end :D

So she grew up with her mum Carmela and her dad Daniel and she took both of their last names (carmela is Venezuelan)! And fun fact!! Her parents are teen parents, both of them being 16-17 (maria was turning 17). So the two had an ok relationship, what do you really expect from two teens who had to get married the moment they could thanks to their parents (having kids out of wedlock and stuff)/lh. Daniel definitely didn’t do much, since he’d been told by his dad (and mum) that it wasn’t his job to take care of his kid, like in the actual taking care not just the socialising and talking to the kid if that makes sense. BUT AS THE TWO GROW UP!! They start to get a relationship that I could only describe as Me and My Husband by Mitski (with hands thrown- if that also makes sense sjdgsj)

So over time, Maria ended up leaving to go the city since she wanted to study medicine! And she planned to take Carmela with her but stuff got in the way! (Daniel. He got in the way) So she ended up leaving anyways (OMG WAIT PARALLELS WITH JANETTE ok don’t mind me finding parallels with my oc lore) without Carmela- which Carmela did not understand at 11 years old so she thought her mum was just leaving. And then speeding forward to when Carmela is 16 (the time during her mum leaving and now was not good especially with her dad- she has a bruise across her neck if that indicates anything- uhm SORRY I JUST REALISED HOW DARK THAT IS UH)

In short her mum comes back to the town, her guilt also catching up to her, makes friends with Janette since they find they have a lot in common, Maria ends up in the cult even though Janette tries to stop her from joining. Maria becomes very heavily devoted (?) to the cult meaning when Janette needs to find someone that isn’t Oliver to do the cult ritual, she happily offers up her daughter Carmela! (who is reeling from her mum showing up and her mum trying to apologise) Also the reason Maria is so devoted to the cult is because they are very good at catering to the person’s needs (maria’s being somewhere to stay)

also the last time maria saw carmela, she was presenting as a boy (transssss) so thats another box for her (carmela) to unpack

jessica/yang: unironically think its greatness like jessica was one of the few ideological challenges to yang on the fpa side & even in the whole series she rly represented that political homefront in a way hilde is introduced for the empire jessica is that for the fpa grassroots organizing then in the face of loss is mobilized to rise up against the govt its rly some of the best or rather the most resonant the fpa side gets is thru her imo + her entanglement w yang was even better. usually i hate a rebound but the fact that both jess + yang rly cared about lapp and for eachother n never rly had a chance to admit that to themselves much less eachother before it was too late makes it such a good ship nd rly sets a lotgh precedent [love triangles from the pov of the 'loser' in love..who broke tanaka's heart back ina day]..sunglasses is to yang as locket is to reinhard. ova needed sunglasses yang

reuenthal/elfriede: also unironically think its greatness. elfriede is one of the best characters in lotgh to me . she literally only had 10 minutes of screentime, and 6 of them were like “you’re doomed to die ingloriously and i wanna be the bullet that ends your life”. reuenthal is like please, id gladly welcome it, if you knew how to use that gun woman. thats so romantical to me. unironically my fave type of hets r either jessyang or reufriede toxic. i do support queering reufriede its literally ripe in ova canon.

dominique/rubinsky: dominique is a citygirl in my canon, she wanted rubinsky as a come up for her career & got entangled in his ??? lotgh ‘logic’ defying actual logic plots. loved her snitching to oberstein in the end.

annerose/kircheis: i think kircheis really loved her like he rly did but i have a hard time getting a grasp on annerose’s feelings + how much of her feelings were ‘sieg is a safe boy’ (in that hes not a 70+ yr old emperor) & later on entangled in her feelings toward reinhard in feeling like they were both responsible for kircheis death

reinhard/hilde: they have to be miserable + not ‘oo guy fucks the one girl of the group’ or even reufriede miserable but really and truly. miserable. i cant see them as having feelings for eachother. i think hilde feels a lot of grievances at taking this subsitute of kircheis (+ annerose) in the emotional aspect for reinhard . mfw i joined for the political coup & became someone’s workwife my hc for their first time is that rein had the worst stroke game (he was wine drunk) + called her kircheis when he came. god (tanaka) had to send reuenthal to his maker bc seeing this happen to His Kaiser wouldve rendered him apopletic

frederica/yang: i think theyre cute & yang needs a mommy dom but it shouldnt come at the cost of frederica’s overall chara. also frederica + julian parallels hey. where julian ‘outgrows’ the domestic frederica ‘matures’ in the domestic which is. Hm. not sure how to think abt that

julian/katerose: theyre technically yaoi to me in the sense that theyre their father’s ‘successors’ of sort. cute!

mittermeyer/evangeline: everybody is so so wrong about them. u can love ur wife and be gay too bros. why r ppl so insistent on like. taking away what makes mittermeyer fun… he even says hes playing the Straight Laced guy bc kircheis aint there thats not his nature!! hes the gale wolf. the short guy with a lot of spunk. i think he loves eva & loves his friend/s. my Q/As: what does infertility reprsent, who r they compared to, and why is it only thru reuenthal that the infertility issue is revealed sorta w/ reuenthal saying ‘the reuenthal line ends with me’ & him later apologizing to evamitt n why is it thru reuenthal that mittermeyer has a kid at last! sorry. fujo glasses off

A couple things I’ve done, The Inner World deserves so much better 🙁

It’s a good game that has so much potential, unfortunately it wasn’t so popular

🔆Lol some spoilers ahead(just me info dumping and ranting)🔆

The series would’ve been fire too, I want to see the sillies being silly in their world of soil. I want to know more about the world and it’s lore, like the lore was pretty solid but it had some slight issues. Though I didn’t notice them till I played both games about 7 times back and forth.

I also want to know more about Conroy and Emil, I get that they’re the bad guys and all but I wanna know about their life.

We know about Robert’s, him being taken as a baby after conroy ‘killed’ (well they weren’t really killed now were they?) off the dynasty and never being able to leave the palace while also being neglected by conroy, and we know about Laura’s too, her being hidden under the Mechatre plotting the death of conroy while also trying to find her dad yada yada alright we know that good stories 10/10, but what about the bad guys.

What we know about Conroy is that he was supposedly an orphan along with the other two Windmonks (how Mama Dola found them is beyond me) and that they were all raised in the mountains, specifically the Shovel Mountains, so basically they were brothers. We don’t know what their lives were like during that time or how they were raised in those mountains or anything really. I guess at one point Conroy was just like “Ottilie’s mad fine tbh” and Y’know…did the DEED, that scandalous Windmonk… but I understand him I mean Ottilie IS fine asf.

Fast forward Conroy wants to implement the death penalty for giggles and the king says no, so Conroy says “fuck you” and plans world domination which includes having Reminepo (Laura’s father duh) build ‘wind gods’ AKA Basylians. Y’know the deal, boom boom you’re stone and you’re stone and you’re stone and OO look a baby mine now fuck all of you FFFFFFFFFFFFFFLOOTnoses.

And some small notes I found is that Conroy dabbles in Art (which I think he displays in the throne room as you see down the hallway with all the abstract art but I’m not sure), he keeps plants on windowsills specifically the spiky ones, he takes knock out pills when he can’t sleep or is feeling lonely (poor guy), he hates fosfoses AND tumblemice calling them evil (dawg..) but loves his killer hedgehog Fonk (I do too but make it make sense), I did have more but while I was writing this a friend texted and when I texted back I forgot what I was gonna write for this but in conclusion Conroy is a LOSERMAN despite his narcissistic, good-doer image.

Now Emil is kinda difficult, we know that he tumbled down a windfountain as a child (he was probably a toddler when he fell despite his brother saying he was a baby) and we don’t know HOW he survived the fall but he did and ended up in front of the wacky stuff store where he was taken in by his adoptive parents, whom are unnamed, and his brother, who also doesn’t have a name (well, more so everyone forgot what his name was) but is referred to as Emil’s Brother, Emil probably had a good childhood seeing how he has a photo of him and his family in his office which is shown on the bookshelf he has. They look pretty happy to me, besides Emil, born emo.

Someway he heard about conroy and absolutely Fell head over heels (there’s no way he’s straight. Look at him. Plus that time when he said he’ll NEVER be as attractive as Conroy.

It’s like that “I’m not gay but damn” “you don’t have to be gay to appreciate a man’s beauty.” “Nah bro I’d FUCK you”)

Then he got all Conroy obsessed, like really obsessed. Killer obsessed (he’s so real.) Anyways somehow someway he showed up with a mob of asposians to the wind chapel, WHICH MAY I REMIND YOU. WAS DEEP WITHIN THE ROOT FOREST? HOW’D HIS ASS GET THERE AND WHAT WAS THE REASON HE WAS THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, anyways he saw conroy’s remains and was like “NOOOOOOOO THE SOON-TO-BE LOVE OF MY LIFE IS DEAD. you dirty flutenoses KILLED him 😾” “😯” boom bam bang flutenoses are hated, conroyalism is a thing yada yada deedoo yknow what happens at the end.

Some small notes of Emil is that he can get so obsessed with something that it scares people well that’s what his brother says (again, he’s so real), apparently he didn’t have friends if not a couple of them so he was probably lonely in childhood but he still had a good life with his adoptive family, he didn’t really choose to be alone though he did try to fit in but I guess him wanting everything to be orderly and wanting little to no fun drove people away, alright we get it. You’re OBSESSED with conroy. I mean cmon you have him everywhere, your office is filled with it, the wacky stuff store has a whole shelf dedicated to him, you’re spending the rest of your life for one thing only and that’s to be Conroy’s second hand man.

Istg he’s in love with Conroy there definitely is some hints of fruit in him.

And one last thing on the small notes, Emil is scary good at sculpting stuff and building, he’s spent 2-3 years on the cable car sculpture thing, in his office he has a model of Conroy’s palace on display sitting on the bookshelf, this means he could technically put conroy back together and revive him. But he’d have to figure out how, I mean conroy did shatter into tiny pieces.

I think that’s all I wanted to dump for now, but I’m very passionate about TIW and will do anything for that series. If you put in enough effort, you could find a way to make TIW 3 filled with new critters and characters. Though this is all fantasy, I know that there will never been another TIW nor will the series ever be released unless a miracle happens. But I’m keeping it realistic so my mind doesn’t build up hope that shouldn’t be there.

None the less even fanart that was made years ago makes me sob tears of joy, maybe one day TIW will get more recognition and the love it deserves.

Do I ship Conremil (conroy x Emil)??? Maybe…maybe….(absolutely 100% hands down ARFARFARFARAFRFARAF yes just yes my dictator husbands)

What was your favorite age growing up?

oo, a hard question. had to decide between 7, 16, and 20 -> after rambling for a bajillion words, 16 was the age that really stuck w me. below is a semi-edited ramble

disclaimer that my memory before age 16 is v blurry so. i might have some bias for it since it's the first one i can remember fully-ish.

i was a senior in hs! i was in love (sorta) [1]. i didn't know where i was going to college yet (was considering ou or tulane i think?). i was in choir (mezzo soprano, alto, tenor) and orchestra (viola, cello). i had rituals with my friends where we'd basically see each other everyday until 5:30pm

i was scared and sad for my future (i knew i was going to move to texas after hs graduation at this point), and i'd cry whenever i was alone w my (now ex-)bf because i loved everyone so much

at the end of junior year of hs, i went to my first big bonfire and burned my silly math hw. i vaped [2] and got drunk with my friends for the first time. i learned that Gay People Exist (outside of the internet) [3]. i felt so free to say "i love you" to individual people all the time (not sure what changed)

i was growing up and it felt like the feeling of growing up was going to end (wrong). looking back i was so severely sad everyday, but i remember Being so happy at the time (or at least telling myself i was?). i'm so inspired by young dasha being Stuck in this place and then leaving, going so far away, by the end of the next year (i haven't been back since)
