Things I like about HAWAII 5-0
the original cast with Kono and Chin: It wasn't the same without them and it sucks that the studios denied fair pay for their non-white main actors. Massive L for a show being diversity inclined.
the "Mcdanno" bromance: Do I need to say more ? Two idiots going after bad guys.
the way it's basically a meet up reunion for actors from previous projects such as Heroes, LOST, Sex And The City
the diversity: the show displays great respect for Hawaii's traditions and it also doesn't shy away from the local spoken language. As someone from Europe, the tidbits of informations are cool.
the location: I mean it just looks gorgeous. Although I can't help wonder how they managed all that running and stunts under such humidity and heat.
the dialogues and storylines: kinda ridiculous, kinda over the top, very entertaining, 100% action packed and always funny. I'm usually not into such television program but this is a fun one to keep up with. Danno delivers the funniest bits, it wouldn't work without him.
**worth noting i have seen most of the show but got yet to finish it.
ok if you made it to the end of my rambling, thanks for reading!
#hawaii 5 0#hawaii five 0#h50#i wouldn't say its one of my fav tv show#but its great tv entertainment#rating: i like it a lot#mcdanno

H50, season 4, episode 18 thoughts...
Chin and Jerry. Are they going to some kind of speed dating thing? Doesn't Chin have Leilani.
Oh. Right. High school reunion. That makes sense.
McDanno hiking! Yes!
Oh. They got some kinda tracker?
Danny with a machette!
Oh right. Of course Steve decided to go to Cambodia to find the grave. And of course he took Danny with him.
Aww. Danny wants Steve's attention on him.
He's like, I came on this weird grave-finding date with you, pay soem attention to me, please.
Poor Chin, Daniel definitely has her sights set on him.
Seriously? Banks just let you take out 200k in cash? (Not that I've ever had anywhere near that much in the bank, but it seems excessive, no?)
Steve shows up at the crime scene without Danny, despite the fact they flew back together. Obviously Danny is off checking in on Grace.
Check out those hedges! Would love to wander through a garden like that.
Danny: I like it. I like it. There's the guy I know and love. *and he has to touch Steve's arm as he says this*
Steve: You like that?
Danny: Yeah. It's good.
And now we get an action scene in the maze!
Love that Steve calls Kamekona. And that his passengers look happy with this turn of events. So would I.
Poor Danny.
Take down. McGarrett style.
Yeah, Steve's not happy Danny got hurt.
Uh. The number of times terrible things are described by then-teenage boys as 'it just got out of hand'.
Please. Please. Teach teenage boys about consequences. So it doesn't get to that stage.
(But that's another rant so I'm gonna stop now)

McDanno WIP
Still going strong and writing for my McDanno WIP ‘Be Your Very Best At The Darkest Time’ (Soul Swap AU). By the way, I changed my mind about parting the story. I’ll pack everything into one long, wonderful story. My amazing friend with whom I survived three NaNos already, still reads my daily part I’m writing, and she said, how would the story end if I wanted to get my story out for the boys and not what I think should happen because it’s more according what people read? I was so surprised by that question but it’s the best advice I could get.
And by the way, I love how the H50 fandom and the love for McDanno is reviving! So many new posts are floating around, so many new fans are head over heels in love with McDanno. This is so fantastic!
A snipet of my WIP:
"Jesus, Mary. You didn't do anything wrong." Steve chokes out in shock. He has reached his limits of holding it together. Danny can tell. He breaks silently in Mary's arms. His shoulder shook with the pain he tries to push down again. Steve fights to stay strong for Mary. "I'm so sorry, Mary. I never meant to hurt you." He is about to pull back. "Not this time, Punk, you don't pull away when it gets difficult. Cry with me." Mary moves closer to Steve, face buried in his shoulder. She doesn't let Steve pull away and Danny watches how Mary shuffles on her knees closer to Steve. She clambers awkwardly into her brother's lap without taking her arms off his neck. Steve holds her like an injured bird. "What are you doing?" He looks completely taken aback. His arms are full of a tired Mary and it looks like she wants to crawl inside him. She doesn't care if she knees him in the thigh. She shifts around on Steve's legs ignoring his silent 'oofs' and grunts when her pointy elbows poke him in the chest and her scrawny butt, parked now on Steve's sore muscles, makes him twitch. "You haven't – haven't done that since you were a little girl, not more than five years old. It's a little bit . . . you know, you're so much bigger now." "Just let me. I need this." Mary sighs exhaustedly but is also more at peace with the situation. "You have it. I'm here, Mare, okay? I mean it when I say it." Steve's eyes drift over to Danny and with a pleading look, he begs for advice. He looks like he has no clue how to feel about a grown Mary in his lap. Danny signs him to wrap his arms all around Mary and rock her gently. Steve talks with his eyebrows and signals Danny to step closer but he does as told and circles his arms around Mary's fragile body. Danny bites back the grin that threatens to bloom on his lips. Steve is not yet super comfortable with the closeness but Mary doesn't pay zero attention to his discomfort. She forces tenderness and physical contact on him, tearing through any defense technic her brother has developed over the years. For Danny, she means a little wonder how she doesn't fuss over Steve's strict policy to keep the game face on even when emotions threaten to bring him down. She's in need of the protection and power her older brother stands for. And she desperately needs tender human contact. Danny comes to sit on the edge of the mattress. "Mary, don't get spooked, I'm sitting right behind you, okay? It's me, Danny. Can you remember me?" He asks in a soft voice while his eyes are trained on Steve and mouths at him 'hug her – hold her'. He sees the tear tracks on Steve's face and as difficult as the background of this reunion is, Danny sees the love almost as a golden light blossoming between Mary and Steve. Something deep that has been stored away for far too long is unfolding.
Share your WIPs guys. I’d love to read some of your works in progress. If you like of course and feel free to skip it. McDanno is eternal.
@goneahead @stephmcx @mcdannoangelwolf @merlin-wolfgang-trades-hale @murphyhatesme @too-much-in-my-brain and for sure I forgot some of you guys, but feel free to share too!

Has anyone written a McDanno fic where Danny goes back to Jersey for his class reunion and Steve goes with him? Doesn’t matter if it’s established relationship, fake dating, or just as friends. The idea popped up in my head after hearing about my class reunion next year and I’d love to read one with McDanno!

Awkward...
Or how Steve needed the ohana to be more natural with Danno
McDanno meta. 2x22 meta. The reunion.
Okay, I just wanted to point things I already talked in these two metas here and here.
But... I will repeat, the woman in quarantine episode 2x20 saying her husband disappeared two week and didn't return her calls, is a mcdanno mirror, which placed us in the fact that Danny and Steve current separation was taken with romantic subtext.
Then... Remember the "I'll think about you the whole time" quote? Adding the whole flirting, and the 'Surf Buddies', something that could be seen normal, but Steve's little sister made it look like very gay? And that was the sensation in Danny's and Steve's reaction?
Keep all of that in mind, because episode 2x22 was the awkward reunion between them, why? Because it was written and shown with homoerotic subtext and sexual tension, lowered thanks to the presence of the supportive ohana.
And let me just stop a little over this idea... What is the supportive ohana? Well...
The supportive ohana will be there when you will try to make something hard, and you need their presence to encourage yourself to do it... Example? Okay...
Episode 2x17... Yes, the flirting show...
Danny was able to introduce Gaby to Gracie, thanks to the ohana support over there. Right?
He invited all his friends because it was very important to him and very hard, a huge change.
With the ohana there, Everything is lighter and easier, and normal.
Now... Steve will make use of it...
Awkward 1
I won't avoid the fact that Steve was terrified to call Danny once he captured Wu Fat.
His body language is screaming he needs to encourage himself in doing that call.
He wouldn't feel the struggle of it was Chin or Kono' who he was about to call. And he could avoid Danny and make it easier, and call one of them. But no, he knew he had to call him.
Go check this post here, @kozuszek is the creator, I'm so agreed with the appreciation of Steve's behavior, because look...
Gif set credit @kozuszek 👇
Steve searches for a private place, he's a focused man, he wrote in the letter he needed to find Wu Fat, so he planned in his head (as an excuse to resist the will to call Dany everyday, because he was thinking about him the whole time, thank you writers) and after capture Wu Fat he told himself that just then, he would call Danny.
So focused soldier Steve has Wu Fat, now is time to call Danny, and yes he needs to know about that number, but he could call Chin for that, right?
He stares at the phone and sighs, the time has come. (I will bet his heart is racing and not just because he finished the first part of his mission). He looks up, then back at the phone, dimples of discontent. Is really hard for him to face Danny after knowing he left him without a word and two week without answering his calls.
And again looking back and forward and okay, is calling... Calling... Calling...
Danno picks up "Detective Williams" ... But Steve didn't!!!! He didn't answer at first! And the camera wasn't showing us Steve but Danny, so imagine Steve frozen, with the phone on his ear, hearing Danny's voice after two weeks, after missing him badly, and think about him, and knowing Danny should feel very mad at him. So yes, not just heart racing but speechless!!! And everyone who was in love once will perfectly understand what Steve is feeling now.
Insert random no homo usual quote a bro would say to his bro, when they were apart for so long. Because that is what Steve answers here.
Awkward 2
Let's strike another awkward moment... Okay, not so awkward because this is what happens when these two are flirting in their own world...
When flirting with your crush by phone in a one to one call is okay, and funny, and even Steve felt amused... Smiles giggling... Oh yes is perfect bc is the two of them...
Gif credit @mcdannowave
But... This...
Gif set credit @wildandwild
Okay, Steve is on the speaker, so everyone is hearing, and Danno first of all calls him babe, but is okay because he use to use that word very often... But then... He engaged with the "six", second meaning, and why is he talking like that? Is a sexual reference, to Steve's male reproductive organs hahahahaaha, and Kono's face in the second gif, even Chin looks at him like 'Did you just asked Steve to take care of his balls/penis?'
Did you just flirt in front of our salade?
And Steve would react differently for sure if they weren't on speaker, because the writers showed us how Steve reacted to a sexual joke, right?
But is different when the ohana is present... So it seems like Danny is aware of his big mouth, and he just went 'F...ck!'
So Steve is in no homo mode, because ohana is there. And Danny is just asking for the end of the world to come right in that moment.
Awkward 3
The reunion. I rewatched three more times the reunion. And is full of body language to read.
But, again, remember the concept of supportive ohana.
I couldn't find the clip of the scene, but I will say go rewatch and come. First, Steve's watching Danny approaching him...
His face is priceless, he can't speak, and he doesn't know what to say, and mostly, because Wu Fat is there with them. But he is like looking at him after two weeks. That face is screaming 'I missed you so much, did you miss me?'
You know when people says that distance is good because it makes you realize how much you miss the person you love? This is the same here.
But then, Steve just says BOOK HIM DANNO. And Danny is, feeling is an awkward moment too, but he goes with the easy joke, to brake the ice. Not hug here, even if they want to. And Danny wants to say a lot of things too... A lot of things he has in his tongue...
Then Kono comes, and for her is easy to say YOU DIDN'T CALL, NOT MESSAGES. WE MISS YOU. And the hug comes easy and natural.
Then Chin, another natural hug.
And Danny turns around in that moment from the police car to watch them. And is a longing stare. He wants a hug too, he wants to know what happened.
And Steve jokes with Chin : Did you think about me? So natural, because is Chin.
So, Kono says the things Danny wanted to say, but he didn't, because the relationship is different.
And Steve asked Chin the question he wanted to make Danny, because the relationship is not the same.
Gif set credit @articfoxxx
When Danny comes back, he has that stare again, a mix between relief, and sadness, and longing, and so many unanswered questions. But mostly, relief, to see him alive. Because he thought maybe he lost him when the CIA guy said it. He was thinking he wouldn't see Steve again, and the remembrance of that pain is still running through his veins... That's why that face...
And Steve is able to hug him, because the supportive ohana is there, and Wu Fat is not.
Steve is able to act normal, because the ohana is surrounding him, so, he goes and really just for a second time his Danno. Is not awkward if we make it natural when the supportive ohana is there.
I would love to know how this reunion would've go if there were just Steve and Danny... Hehe.
Awkward silence.
Sexual tension.
Loving the rewatch of the firsts seasons.
See you soon!

A McDanno rec list for a new friend. (These are also authors I enjoy, so consider this a blanket rec list.)
The Bareknuckle Poet by pleasebekidding
After a serious accident left Steve temporarily wheelchair-bound, working towards his recovery, he enrolled at Rutgers for a year. He met Danny Williams in his criminology course, wearing pride pins and chipped black nail polish, so sure of himself that Steve found it breathtaking. What happened next redefined Steve's sense of self, his ambitions, and many of his priorities.
Tax Benefits by renecdote
“Everyone already assumes we’re married so maybe we should just...” Danny gestures broadly with his beer. He’s maybe a little bit… Not drunk, but definitely tipsy.
“For the tax benefits.”
Danny gives him an aggravated look. “Yes, Steven, for the tax benefits.”
Danny (jokingly) suggests they should get married. Steve takes him seriously.
ua kaha aku la ka nalu o kuu aina (the surf has pressed upon my land) by icoulddothisallday, TetrodotoxinB
Steve knows, he learned, how a man behaves. He can play his part. Danny, who is a good man and great father, looks nothing like what Steve was taught. Reconciling the two means giving up everything he's clung too for the last two decades, and there's nothing about it that's easy.
*potentially triggery AF (deals with effects of conversion therapy) but beautifully rendered
the art of leaving and saying goodbye by Verasteine
2007 is the year Danny learns that choice can be the worst kind of heartbreak. AU.
*warning for infidelity (not mcdanno)
in jest by apathyinreverie
“No, babe,” Danny shakes his head with a grin. “If the apocalypse were to go down while I’m elsewhere for some godforsaken reason, then you stay put and I’m coming to wherever you are.” His grin widens. “And I expect you to have cleared any aliens or zombies or whatever else might be messing with us off the island and to have set up a nice, comfortable military dictatorship for us to rule over by the time I get back.”
It’s a joke.
Of course it’s a joke.
Until it isn’t.
(A the-day-after-tomorrow-style apocalypse AU, where the world decides to end right when Danny is visiting one of the other islands with Grace. Because, of course, it does.)
not just friendship (romance too) by earthquakedream
Steve's gone and gotten himself a boyfriend. Danny's not sure what worse: the fact that he's stupidly jealous or that he actually likes the guy.
All I Ever Wanted (It Comes with a Price) by leviarty
Steve gets shot. Again. Danny is not okay.
* warning: a young grace shoots someone to protect both herself and a gravely injured steve
After All Our Troubles, We Have This by Banshi13
"I'm ending this," McGarrett muttered after a few moments of silence. "I'm not coming back until Wo Fat is in the ground. I'll dig his own grave and bury him myself if I have to, but my father is dead, my mother is running all over the world in hiding, my sister and I were uprooted from our lives, and now he's got Danny locked somewhere in a basement in the middle of Japan." He looked both Chin and Kono in the eye, deadly resolve in his eyes. "This ends. Now. This is the absolute last time that man interferes with my life and my family."
The Other Guy by haldoor
Danny tells Steve what he thinks is a funny story from when he attended Grace's school play. Steve doesn't think it's so funny; in fact, it makes him jealous.
Strapped by stellarmeadow
Steve's determined Danny's going to be prepared next time.
Warm to the Touch by veronicaluv
Danny didn't think twice about going to North Korea to find Steve. He just didn't know everything would go to hell when they got back.
Me and my heart (We got issues) by SquaresAreNotCircles
“I’m in love with you, Steve,” Danny says. He does it softly, quietly, laying the words into the darkness of Steve’s backyard like they’re something breakable, something to be tiptoed around. “I thought you should know.”
Steve’s heart jumps. It rams against his ribcage so hard it’s going to leave bruises. So hard he startles awake, and he almost yells before he realizes he’s outside because he fell asleep in one of the garden chairs in his backyard again.
how to be gay for your best friend in ten easy steps by commatme
See, the thing is that Danny doesn’t really do gay sex, what with being straight and all, but when Steve says I love you he sounds so earnest he makes Danny want to consider it. Which is crazy, right? He’s pretty sure that’s crazy, or at least a little unhinged.
It’s Not So Easy Caving In by paradis
The one where Danny used to be a heroin addict.
blame it on the ocean view by carryokee
Danny gives in, freaks out, and comes to his senses.
So Have I Loved You by Brumeier
In which Grace has a surprise for Steve's birthday and there's not a dry eye in the house.
take it back to a couple years yesterday by itsrosencrantz
Danny really, really doesn't want to go to his twenty year high school reunion.
Steve decides they're going anyway, and Danny takes it about as well as you'd expect.
View From The Shipwreck by flowerfan
Danny Williams isn’t in a great place – he’s a reluctant transplant to Oahu and an outsider at HPD. Former Navy SEAL Steve McGarrett isn’t doing much better, having suffered a career ending injury. When Danny’s young daughter Grace wanders into Steve’s bar after getting lost on a school field trip, Danny is drawn to Steve, somewhat against his better judgement – he’s got enough on his plate. He’s not exactly sure what Steve sees in him. As they spend more time together, Danny learns how Steve’s injury has changed his life in many ways, but not the most important ones. As one thing leads to another, Danny realizes that things might be looking up after all.
True North by lavvyan
“Tell you what, my dad’s throwing his annual Christmas Ball on Saturday. It’s not a trip to Aspen or anything, but it is nice. Fancy food and everything. You guys should come!”
On the trail of a suspected war criminal, Steve and Danny have to go undercover at a fancy ball. The sacrifices they make for the job.
Oh, and Steve's pining like the taiga. Nothing new there.
outside the lines by withoutwords
“I’m Detective Williams.” Danny says, not trying too hard to keep it smug free. “This is my partner, Detective Mackenzie.”
Ken Doll keeps his arms up, his eyes flickering between them all as if he's only seeing police for the first time. “Good cover,” he tells Danny, and it sets Danny’s teeth on edge.
“This is the part where you say sorry for assaulting a police detective, for compromising an investigation, and for acting like a complete asshole while doing it,” Danny growls, about to change his mind and cuff the guy himself.
“Sorry, Officer.”
The bastard is still grinning.
Boys Like Me, We Try Too Hard by romanticallyinept
Steve's always wound so fucking tight.
And Danny's worried about him. Legitimately worried about him. Because maybe Steve always lays into the perps a little hard, and maybe he follows his own rules and his own morals and doesn't stop to sleep unless his body's actually shutting down around him, but usually, Steve's okay at the end of the day. Usually, Steve's not leaning against the wall of the alley they're in, eyes closed and shaking, with the perp he'd cuffed a minute earlier lying on the ground and crying about his broken nose.
Steve keeps a secret, and Danny does his best to patch him back up when it comes to light.
Transformative by boxparade
“You know, I’d heard you’d changed a lot after high school, but I’ve gotta admit, this is a little weird.”
* trans (FTM) Danny
All the Way by VictoriaAGrey
Danny has lost count of how many times he and Steve have used the sexual tension between them for undercover work, only for it to be bottled away after the op is over. With Saint Michael as his witness, that ends tonight.
Nocturne in C# Minor (featuring Stevie Ray Vaughn) by minor_demimonde
So, to recap, Danny has beautiful eyes, great shoulders, a pleasantly-shaped butt, a delectable mouth, expressive hands, and he smells good.
You know, Steve has gone to bed with women who didn’t have that much going for them.
seen it in the flight of birds by Siria
AU from the beginning of Season 2. The Five-0 task force has been reinstated, but the new governor's determined to shake things up. Facing changes and unexpected betrayals, the team has to work together to face new challenges.
It Ain’t Me Babe (Nah), It Ain’t Me You’re Looking For (Babe) by tourdefierce
A story in which Danny makes lists and can't find his heterosexuality underneath all his homogay, Steve has a lot of faces, Kono is perfect in every way and Chin continues to keep Hawaii safe from the Five-O's general disfunction—Or, a story about Kono being awesome and how she likes her men with hearts in their eyes for each other.
Ratios, Decimals, and Percentages by fuchs
In which Steve takes an internet quiz and slowly loses his mind. Danny's okay with it.
Let’s Dance Like We Used To by AndreaLyn
There isn't a world in which Danny wouldn't go after Grace. So when Rachel moves the family to California, Danny goes with. Steve gets left to process life without Danny.
Gunfire, Rainfall, and Beach Erosion by thegrrrl2002
Steve and Danny are kidnapped. After which there is too much swimming and too much rain and it's all very romantic. If you are Steve, that is.
Moving In (To Every Single Aspect of Danny’s Life, Including the Boring Bits like Dry-Cleaning by westgirl
It felt wrong for Steve to sound unsure of his place in Danny’s life. His place in Danny’s life was at Danny’s side, driving him slowly insane. Steve should feel secure about that.
Always Known What I Wanted To Be by mickeysixx
Grace Williams has always wanted to be a cop.
The Taper Phase by popfly
It’s like being run over by an armored car, like the impact of gunshot to tac vest. The pride Danny feels for his daughter and something else, something about Steve’s tank top sticking to his stomach, the way his shorts stretch across his thighs. The goofy grin that lights up Steve’s face when he sees Danny and Charlie, waving one hand while he nudges Grace with the other.
Pitching Woo by SBG
In which Danny pitches (and then accidentally catches) woo.
clue: four letters, ‘is a many splendored thing’ by armillarysphere
“Crosswords? What are you, sixty?”
“They stimulate brain activity, Danno. You ought to try it sometime.”
Steve doesn’t even look up from his newspaper, half-chewed pen resting at the corner of his mouth in an entirely too distracting way.
That’s Not Just Friendship, That’s Romance by thismuchmore
Danny and Steve start out accidentally dating each other, and it turns into something more.
it’s not what you’re sure of (it’s what you don’t know) by somehowunbroken
Art thief Steve McGarrett and his team come up against FBI Special Agent Danny Williams, and things spin wildly out of control from there.
Same Deep Water by JiM, kalena
This isn't the first lifetime Danny's been in Hawaii. When the stress ratchets up, the dreams get more and more real. Turns out Danny has some unfinished business . . . with Steve.
Warning: Ambien use may lower inhibitions in a wakeful state.
Curiosity Didn’t Kill This Cat by unadrift
"I'm confused," Rachel says. "Are you two dating or not?"
Danny sighs. "You remember that thing with the cat in the box? The one that's both dead and alive?"
"Schroedinger's cat?"
"It's kind of like that."
"Okay," Rachel says. She clearly has no idea what he's talking about.
2727 Piikoi Street by imaginary_iby
The ways in which Danny makes himself at home by Steve's side, and the family he gains as the years go by. (Featuring Steve in Timberland boots and little else, and happy goofs who like to make out against the front door).
All The Earth Awaits Thee by Portrait_of_a_Fool
Steve knows all about war and willpower, but this is still the hardest battle he’s ever had to fight.
* warning: life threatening illness, no MCD
The Vertical Challenge by AlamoGirl80
Five times Danny thinks about his height, and then realizes that being "not-tall" doesn't really suck at all.
Some Things to Think About When You Decide to Be an Asshole by sutlers
Steve gets high and tries to fuck Danny; things devolve from there.
Inked by thehoyden
Of course Steve is enjoying himself. They're bait for a serial killer who has some sort of serious hangup about tattooing loved ones' names on their skin -- of course Steve thinks this is practically like a vacation, but better, because the chances of collateral damage are higher.

Steve goes along with the bachelor-party-in-Vegas, because he chose Danny to be his best man, and that's what Danny wants to do. Unfortunately, the things that happen in Vegas don't necessarily stay there.
How to Keep Your Mouth Shut by primetime
Danny’s sometimes gay. Gay, sometimes. Does dudes. He doesnt know how to say it right. He doesn’t know how to say it at all.
Don’t Turn Me Home Again by gyzym
After a rough day of island living, Danny wakes up in New Jersey and learns the hard way to be careful what he wishes for.
End-Around by t_fic
Steve hesitates with his hand on the doorknob, looking back over his shoulder at Danny and nodding once before disappearing inside, and yeah, Danny is going to be so fucking lucky to get through this night without a coronary event.

I think the important thing right now is to think of all the possibilities of a fanfic continuation could be. This wasn’t an ending. There’s such a wide opening for what happens next.
So have some of my own headcanons and ideas:
Danny takes time to heal and make sure Lincoln is trained to take over Five-0 and then decides to retire. Maybe Danny moves back to New Jersey with Steve when he comes back? Or Maybe they both stay in Hawaii cause it’s become home for them both.
Danny and Steve talking to each other CONSTANTLY working through time zones and cases to just always be in each other’s lives. Danny tells him what’s going on in everyone’s lives and Steve tells him about his adventures.
Steve comes back after a couple of months of travelling, doing things and going places where he doesn’t need a gun or combat experience. Just relaxing. Maybe he went to Thailand or TIbet and learned meditation techniques for his pts and anxiety. Maybe he went to some of the places he’d been to on a mission but this time he just saw the sights.
Steve sends the team tons of postcards and letters and selfies with monuments. So many, in fact, that they start making a “Where’s McGarrett?” board (ya know, like Where’s Waldo?). It’s huge and full of the stuff he sends home.
When Steve tells them he’s coming home they plan a GIANT welcome home party for him. It’s a surprise party at the McGarrett house and everyone is there. Danny organizes it and gives everyone a mission. Tani is in charge of music, Junior is in charge of decorations, Kamekona handles everything food related, etc.
Danny picks Steve up from the airport and it’s a beautiful reunion full of hugs, smiles, and happy banter.
Or, on a completely different take, maybe Steve comes home a bit early and it’s late at night and he tries to sneak into the house so he doesn’t wake up Danny but Eddie ruins it and starts barking happily at seeing him again. Danny comes out and we get a beautiful McDanno reunion. They spend the night talking (or first half for those who want them to do something else later *wink wink*), Steve regaling Danny with his adventures and Danny telling him what Five-0 has been up to. Steve tells Danny that he and Catherine went to one place together but parted ways as friends soon after when her work called her away.
Maybe Danny tells Steve he wants to retire but he’s not sure what to do now.
Steve tells him he got an offer to become an HPD Academy instructor and he’s gonna take it. Maybe you could see if they got another opening, Danno. Picture Steve teaching advanced combat or something and Danny teaching about detective skills. No danger for either of them but they still have a hand in justice by teaching the next group of cops. They have lunch together everyday and their students love them.
The team threw them both giant retirement parties.
All the things from Danno’s near death vision are coming true. Grace and Will get married at the house, have kids, grandkids.
An option for McRoll and McDanno fans: Steve and Cath actually stay together, get married, and have kids. Now picture Danny helping Steve raise his kids. He babysits all the time, constantly tells worry wart Steve he’s doing great, he’s there for the birth and every big celebration. Just generally being the uncle to Steve’s kids that Steve was to his own kids. Imagine Grace coming home and just gushing over little baby Steve.
Tani and Junior eventually become the captains that Danno visualized in his near death hallucinations and the scene with Charlie entering the academy comes true. They take over the task force when Lou retires.
I have so many thoughts I could explode. Go forth and have fun!

the show never gave us a high school reunion episode which is a staple of procedurals/crime dramas so I came up with one, that's why the dialogue is in script format(ish)
the body of danny's high school guidance councillor is discovered on the school grounds, all ties lead to a huge pool of potential suspects including former students and teachers and maybe even a janitor with mob ties. too many suspects with skeletons in their closets are likely to lie to the police and the case could easily go unsolved.
luckily, danny's 20 year reunion is coming up, so he is asked by the local pd to go undercover and secretly question his classmates because they are more likely to spill the secrets if they don't know they are being investigated, as people love to gossip at this kind of events.
danny initially didn't want to go to the reunion which bummed steve out because he was hoping to tag along and get some of the high school experience he had missed out on, and maybe find out some more about danny's life before they met.
steve: i don't get why you hate the idea so much.
danny: i know my wicked good looks and charming personality may lead you to believe i was popular in high school, but that was not the case. of course, you wouldn't get it, i bet you had girls fighting to the death for the pleasure of going to prom with you.
steve: *looks down* we didn't have one at the academy.
danny: right, sorry, forgot you came off the conveyor belt at the factory fully formed. most of us regular flesh and blood humans don't wish to revisit the awkward teenage years. but that's a moot point right now, i gotta help my buddie at the newark pd.
and so steve ends up tagging along. for back-up, of course.
(picture steve and danny standing in the ballroom at the reunion as danny explains to him the veritable who and who of his former classmates/suspects)
former prom queen: so where is the lovely mrs. williams?
danny: *looks at steve across the room talking to some people* he's over there. i let him keep his own name, because i'm nice like that. babe?? come over here, don't make me look like a loser who came to his high school reunion by himself.
of course, steve plays along, even tho initially danny rejected the idea of posing as a couple but he understands that being divorced already makes danny feel like a failure on his own, he doesn't want to give the former mean girls material to make fun of him some more. especially because danny has told him he had asked one of them to prom and not only did she laugh she told all of her friends and they all agreed he was punching above his weight.
truth be told steve is all too happy to escape the unwanted attention of soccer mums and some of their bi-curious husbands that were circling him like a bunch of hungry vultures. he would much rather be danny's pretend husband (if it's as close as he gets to the real thing)
everyone cooes over steve and danny, even tho danny knows most of them would not have been this progressive in the 90s, so he privately sneers at what a bunch of hypocrites they are. a part of him, however, enjoys the clear jealous looks of former beauty queens turned soccer mums and bitter divorcées, because yes, he, danny williams, can pull a gorgeous navy seal, whom all of them tried to hit on when they first came on scene, so who's punching about his weight now, brenda?
eventually, they find the information they need, as well as reveal a bunch of other unrelated secrets, and there's even an impressive suspect take-down. danny is grateful that steve helped him get through this unpleasant reunion and vows to somehow make up for one milestone steve had missed out on.
steve: ready to go home?
danny: not quite yet. the principal scheduled a do-over dance after that whole fiasco, and i wondered maybe you would like to go with me? it's not exactly prom but ...
steve: *is touched* i would be lucky to go with you.
danny: who says you are getting lucky after?
steve: *blushes* i didn't mean ...
danny: relax, who knows where the night takes us, i always wanted to make out with the quarterback under the bleachers *he winks*
steve assumed danny was joking (he wasn't) but they still spent a nice evening. they didn't have to maintain the cover anymore but neither felt like ruining the fantasy so they even slow danced to 'i'll stand by you' by the pretenders. if only had steve requested another '95 hit - bon jovi's 'always' danny would have proposed on the spot, but alas, they were still bound by restrictive tv gods.

So, I have many thoughts about the finale ending that I haven’t even sorted out my feelings about yet BUT posts on here have helped me see the positives in the ending...Yes I’m still bothered by some of the beach conversation and the TIMING of Steve’s temporary leave and the fact of what we see last on the screen despite knowing Steve will of course return, but I’m going to put that aside to focus on OMG WE JUST GOT AN ALMOST WHOLE EPISODE STRAIGHT FROM A FANFIC THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVED. I know much of this has been discussed so I apologize if it’s repetitive, but a bunch of my favorite McDanno fanfiction tropes just actually happened in canon and I just...still can’t believe we actually got all of it? So I wanted to make my own list, and feel free to add on or expand or share your thoughts about any of these!! Let’s take stock (warning, this is long!):
-Danny calling Steve in distress, Steve immediately leaving his important cipher mystery meeting to get to him. Can already see Steve starting to freak out before the gunshots ring out when he looks out the window and stutters.
-Gunshots ringing out OVER THE LINE, and Steve very obviously starting to panic. Drives like a maniac (still confused on how going INTO oncoming traffic was supposed to help but I digress). Steve yelling Danny’s name repeatedly desperate to hear his voice
-arriving at a burning camaro, screaming Danny’s name (fun tip: play this bit in slow motion!), and STICKING HIS ARM IN A BURNING CAR/catching himself on fire when he thinks Danny could be inside
-You can hear the creeping desperation/emotion in Steve’s voice as he’s giving orders to HPD (“Detective Danny Williams-MY PARTNER-you know who he is”)
-Steve actually mobilizing the whole island to find his Danno. (Again, something I never really expected to see outside of a fanfic). “I want every person on this island with a badge looking for Danny Williams”
-Steve’s face when he walks into HQ with Cole and the tears in his eyes when Tani is showing him the kidnapping footage
-Just the whole “An enemy of Steve’s uses Danny to get to him”!!!! I always wanted it but never expected it so explicitly
-“I HAVE THE PERSON YOU CARE ABOUT MOST IN THE WORLD.” GUYS—IT DOESNT MATTER WHATEVER ELSE HAPPENS BECAUSE THIS IS CANON BABY. We knew it, everybody knows it, but now it’s confirmed. When rewatching the series, remember this<3 also part of me is like, will all the other criminals hear about this and try to do the same when Steve comes back since Steve put up no fight in giving in to Dayui Mei’s demands? Isthiswhyheleftsoquickly.
-video footage of Danny strung up and bloodied...fanfic come to life. Steve’s face when he sees this....
-Steve looking like he’s gonna simultaneously collapse, panic, and murder someone when Dayiu Mei is asking him what he will do
-Steve not hesitating to give into Mrs. Wo Fat’s demands bc any risk is too risky when Danno is involved
-The team trying to get Steve to give a flying fart about the cipher when Danny’s life is on the line and Steve still not giving a flying fart.
-Steve finding Danny lying helpless on the floor. His whispered “Danny” when he first sees him (you have to listen close for this because the dramatic background music is super loud at this point).
-His little stream of soft, comforting reassurances as he’s getting Danno to the car. Danny holding onto him
-CRADLING BLOODIED, STRUGGLING TO-BREATHE-DANNO TO HIS CHEST IN HIS ARMS. My mom, who doesn’t ship McDanno romantically but loves their friendship, when this happened: “whoa! That’s a little much (gay), don’t you think?” Hehe, no, it’s perfect.
-More tears from Steve as he’s holding Danny on the way to the hospital.
-Steve’s comforting reassurances and refusing to let go of Danny on the gurney until he’s absolutely forced to. DANNY REACHING FOR HIM, Steve’s reassuring pat. Steve’s face as he looks down at him fearing how dire this is.
-Steve’s face as he collapses against the wall when they roll Danny through the double doors, closing his eyes, trying to calm his breathing as he tries to avoid thinking about the unthinkable.
-STEVE BARGAINING WITH GOD FOR DANNY’S LIFE. After not seeing him pray before I don’t think? His face...that emotion...omg. He very obviously can’t imagine living in a world without Danny in it, and would rather die than do so.
-Side note: Imo, Steve seemed closed off to the team—physically and emotionally—when he wasn’t sure Danny would make it. Almost as if we got a glimpse of the Steve he’d be without his Danno, if that makes sense. Notice how he’s turned away from them in the waiting room/chapel, how he didn’t even look at them when Danny was wheeled away through the double doors. How he didn’t give an eff about the cipher they were trying to get him to care about. Not that he doesn’t have beautiful Ohana bonds with the other team members because of course he does, but...it’s just different with Danny and I don’t know how he would’ve made it through this one, especially considering his already struggling state at the time. I think we kind of saw a glimpse of that, is my point. They both helped each other grow since first meeting, and it was almost like that part Danny helped bring out in Steve went away with Danny when Steve thought he might lose him. If that makes sense? More on this later?
-Steve holding unconscious Danny’s hand❤️❤️❤️ Closing his eyes and letting out a deep breath right after taking his hand (anyone want to gif this moment? ;) )-side camera view of this moment so was hard to see but it’s there. Seeming to look at the machines for reassurances that Danny is alive, healthy. Scanning him over and likely feeling guilty for the marks on his body. Holding his head in his hands by Danny’s bedside.
-the whole conversation when Danny wakes up! Danny, probably a little doped up, all sweet and reassuring and cuddly and funny. “Why’d you stop holding my hand?” and Steve immediately taking his hand back and rubbing his forearm I think (this was out of the camera angle tho so idk for sure). Steve’s voice tinged with so much emotion when he says “Buddy.” And, Steve being emotionally vulnerable/open again bc his Danno is back!! This whole scene I just fhdisksml.
-Steve’s smiling and squeezing and wrapping his arms around Danno like an octopus when he hugs him (I wish we had some additional slightly different camera angles of this hug-as was shown in the promo for example-but I digress again). Danny closing his eyes for a moment, seeming to savor it. Steve getting Danny to look him in the eyes to tell him he loves him. To me, this scene had a very “see you again soon” rather than “goodbye” vibe even though I wish there were parts of the dialogue that were different.
-Steve slowing down, looking unsure, and turning back to look at Danny before he leaves. Anyone wanna analyze this? Maybe just a “I know I need to do this so I can come back and be the person I need to be for both of us but fuqqit imma miss you while I’m gone” or “I need to leave so no one can use/hurt him to get to me again right now.” Or just “hey maybe this isn’t the most genius plan.” Idk, but I would LOVE to hear Scott and Alex’s take on this scene. Also they filmed this scene before the show was ended by CBS so who knows how that factored into it. If they thought there would be a possible reunion later?
-Telling Eddie to look after Danno, which definitely means Danny will be keeping his house/bed warm til his hubby returns.
-fleeting thought I have that I might expore later: possible acting choices in the difference in hand holding/smiles between with Danny vs. Catherine?Notthepointofthispostthosoweskipfornow
-I might post thoughts on other things later but I mainly just wanted to compile this list of straight-out-of-fanfic moments that 100% confirms Danny IS the most important person in Steve’s life and OF COURSE he will return and text/call him everyday til then. Regardless of the end, which is really so open that we can do so many beautiful things with now, most of the episode served as a beautiful culmination of what Steve and Danny have come to mean to each other throughout the last 10 years, and we can rest peaceful and happy in that. ❤️ (this is also me still trying to convince myself to be okay with the way things were left on the beach/the conversation, etc)
I would love to hear y’all’s thoughts about any of this!! if you made it this far—I apologize again for the length but lovey boys call for lovey rambles

just a thought
as far as Alex and Scott are concerned, they seem to have room on their schedule, no immediate future projects announced (and Covid probably got in the way)
out of the whole H5O former cast, DDK seems to be the busiest?
a reunion is totally logistically possible.
if only CBS can get their shit together... I still want McDanno to happen again on screen no matter how short their scene is. even if it’s just a feature scene on another show (eg MacGyver).
Just to see these two bantering again side by side on screen would make me so much happier. It would go a long way towards mitigating the adverse effects of that series finale final scene. You know which scene I’m talking about.

Danny sitting in Steve's house and trying to piece together Shelburne whilst he's hunting down Joe just shows how serious this relationship is, and how much Danny wishes he could help. I think he's really hurt that Steve didn't ask him for help but he understands that Steve is trying to protect him and if that isn't the most frustrating thing I don't know what is; Wanting to help but knowing they didn't ask because they don't want you getting hurt

Affinity - Ch. 18 (10.18)
McDanno, A03, 10.18
A continuous story of season 10 episode codas. Steve may describe their relationship as a dysfunctional marriage, but at some point, will he and Danny take a closer look at what it really could be? (The answer is yes).
And a note: It’s my opinion that Steve was clearly joking with Danny about having a date with the “cute vet.” Emma told Steve just a few weeks ago that she was seeing someone else; Steve is just being a little shit and teasing Danny. And of course, no date actually happens - instead, they end up at Rick’s bar, bickering over how Steve hasn’t brought his wallet with him for ten years... (But I didn’t watch next week’s trailer and I don’t want to... who knows...)
Chapter 18
Steve sits in his truck, putting off the inevitable. Usually he’s happy to pull into his driveway, especially when he knows Danny is in his house, probably getting dinner ready or checking out what’s new on his favorite delivery app. But not right now.
It’s not like Steve can put it off much longer. As soon as Danny sees his face, Danny’s going to know something’s wrong. He might as well man up and get it over with.
Inside, he can smell tomato sauce bubbling on the stove – they’re eating in tonight, then. Steve’s not sure if this is better or worse. Danny will be in a good mood, but that just means he has further to fall.
Of course, this assumes Danny will be upset about Steve’s news. He might actually be relieved, but that thought just makes Steve ache even more, so he pushes it aside.
“Hey, dinner will be ready soon, but I forgot to get salad stuff – if you really want it, you have time for a quick trip to the store.” Danny comes out of the kitchen, wiping his hands on a towel. “Personally I’m fine without it, but I know how you feel…” Danny’s voice trails off as he sees Steve. “What’s wrong?”
Steve slumps over to the couch. That was fast even for Danny. “Why does something have to be wrong?”
Danny just gives Steve a look and sits down in the chair next to Steve, tossing the dish towel on the coffee table. His white t-shirt is a little damp, and he’s wearing his most comfy shorts, the ones that look like he hacked off an old pair of sweatpants. It’s Danny at his cuddliest, and Steve wants to grab him and never let go. But now, sadly, is not the time.
“You met with the governor this afternoon, right? So tell me what happened? Did your grenade budget get cut again?” Danny’s trying to keep his voice light, but he’s caught on to Steve’s mood, and he knows there’s more to it than the annual argument over Five-0’s outrageous expenses.
“No, nothing like that.”
“So what, then?” Danny scoots forward. “Tell me, come on.”
Steve sighs. “It was the most incredibly awkward meeting of my life. Possibly of anyone’s life.”
Danny perks up. “Really?”
“Don’t get so excited.”
“Come on, such drama - it’s got to be good.”
“Not so much.”
Danny waits, and when Steve doesn’t elaborate, he hits him on the arm. Kind of hard.
“Ow.”
“Spill.”
“Fine. We talked about Junior and Tani.”
Danny’s posture immediately changes, his shoulders tightening. “What about Junior and Tani?”
“Their relationship. Apparently the powers that be are not pleased.”
Danny springs out of his chair and starts pacing. “What the hell? There’s nothing wrong with them being together – it’s no one’s business – it’s certainly not the Governor’s business-”
“It is, really,” Steve says. “One, there’s a no fraternization rule-”
“Since when do you care about rules?”
“Two, it could create a legal problem. Three, it could create a morale problem.” He’s counting off on his fingers, trying to remember what the Governor – and the Governor’s lawyers – said. “Oh yeah, four, appearance of impropriety.”
“Appearance of – how is that any different than a morale problem?” Danny’s trying not to shout, Steve can tell, but he wouldn’t blame him if he did. Steve got all his shouting out back at City Hall.
“Morale among the team, versus appearance to the public,” Steve recites.
Danny’s waving his arms, practically vibrating with anger. “That’s not going to happen, morale on the team is fine, we’re all happy for them, they’re adorable, they’re just kids, what the hell kind of rule is this-”
“Danny, come on. This isn’t news. We always knew it could be a problem.”
“They don’t even report to each other,” Danny protests.
“And that’s the only thing that saved them from being transferred off Five-0. But the Governor still isn’t happy – if either one of them becomes, what was the word, disgruntled, they could sue.”
“For what? What would they sue for?”
Steve rubs his face. “Sexual harassment, or retaliation. Say they break up, and then Junior gets pissed because he thinks Tani is getting better assignments, and he accuses someone on the team of being mad at him because they blame him for the break-up. Or they’re on the rocks, and one of them pushes too hard, and the advance is unwelcome.”
“That’s not going to happen, not with them.”
“What if they’re together, and their judgement is affected, and someone gets hurt on a case?”
Danny frowns, and Steve imagines he’s running through all the times they did crazy-ass things for each other, taking arguably unwarranted risks with people’s lives. “You really think two people have to be bumping uglies for that to happen?”
“No, but making that point really wasn’t going to help their case.”
Danny deflates. “What happens now? Can they still work together?”
“If they sign a love contract.”
“A what?”
“A love contract,” Steve repeats. “A statement acknowledging that the relationship is voluntary and consensual, that they’re free to end it, they will abide by the sexual harassment policy, and a bunch of other legal crap.”
“That sounds ridiculous.”
“And I have to bring them in to the City lawyer’s office tomorrow and sit there while they say the same thing.”
There’s a long pause, and then Danny gets up and goes back into the kitchen. “Gotta make sure nothing’s burning,” he says, tossing the towel over his shoulder.
Long minutes go by, and Danny doesn’t come back out into the living room. Steve has a hunch as to why. He pulls out his phone and checks his email, giving Danny a few more minutes to process, and then follows him into the kitchen.
Danny’s chopping basil by the sink, and Steve grabs a leaf and pops it in his mouth.
“Hey, cut it out, you’ll lose a finger,” Danny says tensely, his eyes firmly fixed on his task.
“Penny for your thoughts?”
“Fuck off,” Danny says, “you know what I’m thinking.”
“Yeah, but it’s easier to respond if you actually say something.”
Danny puts the knife down and turns towards Steve, leaning on the counter behind him. “I report to you,” he says.
“Technically, yes.”
“So even with a love contract, that wouldn’t be enough. We can’t date.”
“The topic didn’t come up, obviously. But… yeah, I get the feeling that it might be a harder sell than Tani and Junior.”
Danny doesn’t respond, but he digs his phone out of his shorts and swipes around for a few seconds, then hands it to Steve.
It’s showing a reservation for dinner tomorrow night. For two. For the briefest of moments, Steve wonders if Danny has met someone. Then he sees the name of the restaurant, one his favorites, the Beach House in Haleiwa.
Steve can’t do anything but stare at Danny, who takes his phone back and shoves it into his pocket. “We both have off tomorrow. Figured we’d do something together. Go for a hike, maybe. Have dinner. You wouldn’t even have to iron a shirt.”
“Danny… is this…?” Steve doesn’t want to ask, can’t quite form the words. It’s been weeks of limbo, weeks of Steve trying so hard to wait patiently, telling himself that he’ll be okay no matter what Danny decides, that they’ll both be okay, that their friendship can handle whatever comes next. Joking about pretend dates with other people that Danny knows will never happen, just to try to take the pressure off Danny. Being the very best friend he can be, always. It’s been hard, but Steve hasn’t stopped hoping, hasn’t stopped wanting. He’s not sure he can.
“Yeah, it’s a date,” Danny says, and Steve feels his heart skip a beat. “Anyway, it was supposed to be. I wanted to take you out. Tell you I’m ready, if you still want… this.” Danny looks up at Steve, his eyes imploring. “I’m ready, I want to - but now – how can we…?”
Steve presses his lips together, his mind racing to come up with anything convincing, any way to persuade Danny that the Governor’s new-found interest in Five-0’s interpersonal relationships isn’t going to be the fatal blow to their reunion. It’s hard to think straight, though, over the pounding of his heart.
“You really want us to be together?” Steve asks, his hands trembling at his sides. “You’re sure?”
“Yeah, I’m sure, but-”
That’s all Steve needs. With a sharp inhale, the rest of the world disappears, and all he can see is Danny. “Forget about the Governor,” Steve says firmly, stepping into Danny’s space, crowding him up against the counter. “Do you trust me?”
Something shifts in Danny’s expression, and when he speaks, his voice is tender. “I do, Steve.”
“Then kiss me.”
Danny tilts his head, then brings his hand to the back of Steve’s head and pulls him close. Danny’s lips are soft, and his mouth is warm, and Steve feels almost mesmerized by his touch. He slides his hands around Danny’s shoulders, feeling the strength of his muscles bunching under his t-shirt, and ends the kiss with a sigh.
Danny pulls back just enough to look at Steve, his eyes sparkling. “So we’re gonna do this again, are we?”
“Yeah. I won’t fuck it up this time, I-”
Danny cuts him off with another kiss, and Steve laughs against his mouth. “No more apologies,” Danny says into the air between them. “We’re good.” Danny moves closer and kisses him again, and this time he presses harder, opening his mouth and finding his way into Steve’s. Danny’s got one hand on his waist, and Steve’s gripping Danny’s t-shirt, and they kiss until they have to pause for breath, panting and grinning and generally feeling altogether wonderful.
Steve’s still not sure how they’re going to avoid getting fired, but right now, he simply doesn’t care. He’s got Danny back in his arms, and that’s what’s important.

Was talking to my father about Steve and Danny's friendship on the show and he listened for a minute and then went, "So what you're telling me is that McGarrett and Williams are gay?" Lmaoooo
Same anon. My father’s not that far off…I mean the writers are just too cowardly to make it canon tbh. But if my father who is so frickin old fashioned in his beliefs can see that McDanno is canon, I say it’s high time CBS make it xD
Hi, anon!
I have only one thing to add: Preach it, babe!
I tell you what…I tell you what I’m secretly dreaming about concerning Lenkov and H50.
Kay. That’s my vision: Lenkov messes with all of us. He gives us a red herring what could be a possible outcome at the end of the show, scaring us to death with the nasty details of Danny’s and Rachel’s reunion. But secretly he has other plans…
At the Paleyfest 2019, he has mentioned the eight pages long script, Alex has written, full of dialog - eight damn pages - full of dialog written by Alex amazing o’Loughlin.
So, he’s going to use this script to end season 9 because Alex has sat down and has punched out an end scene with Steve and Danny. And it goes like this (I’m sure it’s way more profound and layered but anyway I need some McDanno moments like this full-blown monstrously kind of Mcdanno):
Steve and Danny argue and they shout, there is so much tension and both are upset to no end - Steve tries to get his point across why Danny shouldn’t leave Hawaii to start over in New Jersey with his ex-wife. It didn’t go well the first time and it definitely wouldn’t go well the second time. Danny fumes with anger and can’t believe Steve doesn’t believe in him, that he actually has the nerve to express his worries and that he torpedoes Danny’s luck with bad energy by just mentioning that it won’t work. And Steve starts to yell and Danny shouts obnoxiously loud, too, until Steve can’t take it anymore and caves under Danny’s verbal attack of the ‘why do you say this? WHY CAN’T YOU BE HAPPY FOR US?’ And Steve yells back ‘BECAUSE I’M FUCKING IN LOVE WITH YOU, YOU STUPID, STUBBORN ASS!’ And Danny stares wide-eyed at Steve and flails with his arms and knows immediately that Steve has dug deep to open up because the panic shows clearly in Steve’s eyes and Steve wipes with the back of his hand over his lips and repeats with a small voice ‘because I’m so fucking in love with you, Danny Williams’ and after that Steve throws all caution to the wind and eats up the distance between them, grabs Danny by the neck to yank him over and dives in for a desperate, hungry kiss. And Danny fists his shirt and whimpers into his mouth and Steve tucks him to his chest and slides his hand up over his strained shoulders and fans all fingers right through Danny’s hair and he has no fucking idea what would come next. Steve’s world spins out of control when Danny’s tongue glides into his mouth and the way Danny rolls his hips against his own made Steve freak out because fuck, now he’s hard and he hugs the fucking daylight out of Danny and Danny is eagerly responding to this attack of his lips and he lets Steve just take over. Nothing else matters anymore.
‘What about Rachel now…?’ Steve mutters against Danny’s lips and boom - that’s the end of the scene and that’s the cliffhanger for the end of season 9. And I would be so dead!
And Lenkov also announces after this season that Alex takes over and that he is the new head of everything behind the camera and that Alex will be responsible for the right shooting of season 10. Alex will do a great, damn awesomesauce job and McDanno is good to go and this love comes to life and it is a breathing living, damn handsome, hot thing throughout the whole season 10!
That’s my vision! Hahahaha! Because I have to make their love real at least for myself and even if this is only one big, stupid fangirl fantasy. We’ll see and Life sometimes is full of surprises, isn’t it?
Thanks for your messages, anon, and your dad rocks! Everyone who feels the love between Steve and Danny rocks big time because come on, it’s so obvious and so fucking there. McDanno forever! Mahalo for dropping by, my friend.
