i really do admire how lando tries to not give a fuck (that 'whatever' really saddened me so much) but he actually does, and a lot.

guy doesn't even want anything absurd, he just wants the support of his team for the last fucking 4 races but no... let's just get humiliated for one point on international tv💀.

they're really stretching him thin — and i mean it in a emotional and mental wellbeing way. he is obviously inherently selfless and quite literally does not hold self-esteem, but in the last year we've seen him trying to be more sure of himself and trying to be selfish for once. the moment he does that though, he gets accused of being the spawn of satan. and then the team does everything in the world to make it harder for him.

so i really do admire him, because i literally would PERSONALLY leave the sport after this one season.

he's so much stronger than i am.

red bull: daniel’s bad habits from mclaren are fixed, he did well in the sim, and his tire test was so good that we immediately knew he was ready to be in a car.

alpha tauri & yuki: daniel’s feedback on the car has been instrumental, and he performed so well in difficult race conditions even though he didn’t have any upgrades and had some bad luck.

rando twitter user who doesn’t have the data, didn’t know liam lawson’s name three weeks ago, and constantly insults the way red bull quickly drops drivers who don’t perform: they’re only letting him drive for pr even though he’s a washed up failure.

Nichols N1A, 2023. A project by a former McLaren designer to create a Can‑Am inspired road car styled after the McLaren M1A, the first sportscar designed and built by Bruce McLaren’s racing team. An initial run of 17 launch-spec cars will feature a dry-sump 7.0-litre-develop of the GM LS3. These new blocks have been bored out to their new 427ci capacity with steel liners and upgraded pistons, producing around 660PS. Each of these engines will be built by Langford Performance Engineering, a company that has produced F1 engines. All models will come with a six-speed manual gearbox. The graphene-infused carbon-fibre bodywork covering an aluminium and carbon-fibre chassis means very light 900kg weight and a 710PS per tonne power-to-weight ratio. Prices have yet to be confirmed but are said to be in the region of £450,000

The McLaren W1

“With our new Ultimate supercar, we are again pushing the boundaries of real supercar performance with an epic hybrid powertrain featuring our all-new MHP-8 V8 engine, the most advanced aerodynamic platform of any McLaren road car and extensive use of advanced lightweight materials,” McLaren CEO Michael Leiters said in a statement. “This really is a car that only McLaren could create.”

The MHP-8 engine is an all-new 4.0L twin-turbo V8 that produces 916 hp. But when coupled with an electric motor, output jumps to 1,258 hp, with 988 lb.-ft of torque. All that power results in a 0-60 mph time of 2.7 seconds, with its top speed of 186 mph coming in just 12.7 seconds.

With only 399 units planned for production, starting at $2,100,000 USD each and all units already allocated, the McLaren W1 is positioned to become a rare and coveted part of McLaren’s automotive lineup.
