You know those books that blossomed your love for reading?

Mine is the May Bird series by Jodi Lynn Anderson. It a three book trilogy about a 10 year old girl who falls through a portal to the Ever After (world of the dead) and is trying to find her way back home to Briery Swamp. Along the way she meets, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and so many nasty creatures. Making friends along the way.

Each book has a map of the Ever After in the front of it. And I love the series so much that I complied all the different places featured in each into my own full cohesive map of the Ever After (pictured above). I also own both the series with the original cover art and the modern version.

For anyone who loves a FMC, children’s chapter books, or the spooky and weird I definitely suggest this book series.

Okay, but Antoine getting sick or injured and being nursed back to health by Evka would be adorable.

Antoine doing the same for Evka would be cute as well, but I'm specifically picking on Antoine because he has gotten hurt or has greatly concerned his wife in 3/4 of the pair's appearances.

Summary: Tomáš is happy to see his friends again, but something is starting to feel off. Not that he has time to dwell on it--there's a growing sense of urgency in dread in him, and he's willing to take risks with this new advantage that has opened up to him. And if he thought confusing reveals and vague answers were finally a thing of the past…he is very wrong.

Author Notes: Wow, more time slipped away than I thought. Sorry about that :(

Good news is is the last two chapters are half written in one form or another. And then we're off to the races--I mean the "other side" of this piece.

Ahhh, a beautify, basic base for peahens. Perfect for customization.

Sidenote: If anybody knows any blogs or websites that shows pictures for specific genotypes, it will be greatly appreciated :3 Based on what I know, so far, I can already tell that finding out which genes a phenotype is expressing will be a nightmare so I want as clear as an idea what an allele actually looks like and work with other alleles as possible.

Additional, any websites that explain various chicken genes in an in-depth (but understandable) way is also appreciated (=^ェ^=)

Birb siblings!!

Today I talk specifically about Pearl!!

She's the absolute middle child of the five, sandwiched between the twins and her younger brothers Jimmy and Grian.

Before the siblings fell from godhood, Pearl was goddess of the moon. Her successor was Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. While she was a good huntress, she’d rather commune with the animals of the night.

She prefers double-wielding shortswords as her weapons of choice!

When she first became human, she and Grian researched alchemy and magic, one stray experiment led her to gaining wings. Her wings aren't of one specific bird or animal, sometimes they are owl, sometimes a bird of paradise, other times it's a type of moth, no one knows why her wings switch, but Pearl thinks it’s to do with adaption to her environment.

Pearl prefers to wear a cloak because it's ✨dramatic✨ and helps conceal any weapons she has.

i don't think ace personally enjoys reading himself, but he does enjoy being read to

like back on dawn island he'd see me lost in the sauce of like may bird and the ever after or warrior cats too busy hermiting to go out and go outside and he asks me what the appeal is so i just start reading out loud to him from then on and it becomes a bit of a tradition that persists into adulthood

he lays on my chest, going in and out of sleep because of his narcolepsy, and i read out loud with him commenting here and there and because i'm a yapper that just turns into the two of us having an entire conversation about what we just read or what we've read up until that point or i have to go back some pages to read something he fell asleep on
