do you ever think about max's monster. do you ever think about how max was so desperate to save phil, and ben just watched with contempt. do you ever think about how ben keeps telling max that it's obvious phil cant be saved and yet max keeps going, not heeding the warnings, not heeding the call of someone who knows this sort of feeling more than anybody. do you ever think about how ben wants phil to be good but just knows in his gut hes not. do you ever think about how max, through rook, tries to appeal to the only thing he knows, and rook tells ben that phil could be good. kevin was good. and ben glares at him and tells him 'phil is no kevin'. like he knows kevin was a flash in the pan, will never be replicated, no matter how much he tries. do you ever think about how mad ben is at max, using ben's best friend against him, the one he knows ben almost failed to save, the one MAX tried to tell him was a bad egg, nothing but a disobedient dog that needed to be put down, and now hes here trying to appeal to ben using kevin about an old man who never knew the type of pain ben knows kevin did, who willingly let himself go, who wasnt just a scared little boy. do you ever think max didnt mean the words he was saying when he said phil was no kevin. do you ever think he meant them, but he meant 'phil is good in the system. kevin is a blight on it.' do you ever think about how phil turned out to be a rooter, so in the end, max's 'kevin' was just hurting ben's, hurting BEN, the whole time. do you ever wonder how such a loaded episode was in omniverse of all fucking things. do you. Ever realize that there were two instances of UAF predicting a TCW/Rebels episode?

Mentor character fakes his death and goes undercover while claiming it was for the greater good despite the trauma it inflicted.

One of the heroes gets stranded on a hostile world with one of the villains and they’re forced to work together to survive. The villain’s ideology is slowly deconstructed and the seeds for their redemption which will later pay off are planted. The episode also spawned a lot of shippers.

Another fun fact, TCW and UAF aired during the same period (2008-2012) and were sometimes advertised together on Cartoon Network.

A.K.A. "Gwen's (and Max's but mostly Gwen's) Disastrous Toy History"

Ben 10's always been seen as a "boy show", which in 2024 is an outdated concept. However, to this day, making toys of girl characters in shows isn't seen as profitable. That's one of the reasons why CN deemed another show, Sym-Bionic Titan, a failure and wrote the series off for taxes. (A system that's heavily being abused lately, but I won't get into that.)

Let's start at the beginning, way back in the Original Series, with "Gwen with Grey Matter", released in 2007 during the second wave of the standard line.

While it's by no means a bad figure, what if someone wanted one of just Gwen by herself, and not Lucky Girl? And no, there's no Max figure to speak of in this era. Something they could've packed with the Rustbucket playset.

Moving up to Alien Force, we have two for Gwen. Though only one would be seen stateside.

Alien Force Gwen would only ever be seen in the UK, while the Anodite Gwen figure was a lot more common.

There's also a set exclusive to Toys r' Us during the Ultimate Alien Era that contains both this Gwen, the previously UK Exclusive Max, and Soccer Ben.

Moving to Ultimate Alien, there's two releases of the same figure. One standalone version, and one with one-third of the Rustbucket III.

As for what's left for Max, for UA, you get this abomination of a figure.

And for OV, you get this. Which wouldn't be so bad, until you realize they've reused most of the mold from the Alien Force one.

And don't even get me started on the Reboot, even the Rustbucket Playset could at least get a Max, maybe a Gwen too, but no.
