Hilarious and outgoing, Brittany Forgler, is everybody’s best friend ― except her own. Her partying, underemployment and toxic relationships are catching up with her. She receives a startling wake-up call when a visit to the doctor reveals how unhealthy she is. Motivated to lose weight, but too broke for a gym and too proud to ask for help, Brit is at a loss, until her neighbor pushes her to run one sweaty block. Soon, she sets an almost unthinkable goal: the New York City Marathon. Credits: TheMovieDb. Instead, it comes across as extremely realistic and grounded, which allows the comedy to flow. Everyone across the board brings their A-game to bring this really fresh and heartwarming comedy to life. If you’re a fan of films like ‘Trainwreck’ or ‘The Big Sick’, put on your joggers and sweatpants to run out and see this one. – Chris dos Santos Read Chris’ full article… https://www.maketheswitch.com.au/article/review-brittany-runs-a-marathon-literally-run-out-to-see-this-stellar-comedy Head to https://www.maketheswitch.com.au/sff for more Sydney Film Festival reviews. Columbusbuck: Brittany gets it right – that feeling you have in the pit of your stomach when you push away everyone who cares about you. A feeling I’ve had for a long long time. So self destructive. A 5-star movie, reflecting the reality of life, wouldn’t have a happy ending. This movie has one. But the first 60 minutes absolutely nails it.

GOGO-NO-KOCHA "Happiness" - Dir Yves Geleyn from Hornet on Vimeo.
Translation: "I was born and raised on a tea farm in Sri Lanka. My father once told me: 'From the soil of this small island, I want to produce the world's most sought after, high-quality tea.'
The spirit of my father's legacy is what I want to carry on. My tea leaves this year will become GOGO-NO-KOCHA. Since 2013, GOGO-NO-KOCHA has been supporting Sri Lankan tea farms through the help of the Rainforest Alliance." In this spot for Japanese brand GOGO-NO-KOCHA, Hornet Director Yves Geleyn pulls out a few of his most iconic stops: vivid animation, fairytale sensibilities, and a simple yet sweet story about a young girl striving to carry on her family's legacy.

Scarlett Johansson Exits Trans Film ‘Rub and Tug’...
Why aren’t we mad at the people who suggested her to do the part in the first place??? Not all the blame should be put on to the actor. She wasn’t the only one to agree to have Scarlet play it.
Gary Spinelli wrote the script and the movie will be produced by Joel Silver, Tobey Maguire, Johansson, Matthew Plouffe, Spinelli, and Jonathan Lia.
she could have done better, they all could have done better.

STXfilms Acquires 'The Best Of Enemies' Starring Taraji P. Henson — On Unlikely Relationship Between Civil Rights Activist Ann Atwater And KKK Leader
Monique Jones    July 16th, 2018
Tumblr media
The domestic rights to The Best of Enemies starring Taraji P. Henson have been picked up by STXfilms.
The film, which also stars Sam Rockwell, is based on Osha Gray Davidson's 2007 book The Best of Enemies: Race and Redemption in the New South and focuses on the unexpected relationship between civil rights activist Ann Atwater (Henson) and local Ku Klux Klan leader C.P. Ellis (Rockwell). As we reported in 2017, the film is set in the 1960s and early 1970s during the debate about public school integration in Durham, North Carolina. "Their encounters were charged with hatred and suspicion. But eventually, in an amazing set of transformations, each came to see how the South's rigid power structure had exploited the other, and they would form a friendship that flourished within an explosively bigoted environment at the time." The film's script is written by film producer Robin Bissell, who also directed. The Best of Enemies will also star Babou Ceesay (who is currently starring on AMC's Into the Badlands), who will play Bill Riddick, who convinced Atwater and Ellis to work together. Also starring are Wes Bentley, Anne Heche, Bruce McGill, John Gallagher Jr. and Nick Searcy. The Best of Enemies' producers include Tobey Maguire and Matthew Plouffe from their Material Pictures banner, as well as Bissel, Danny Strong, Dominique Telson, Matt Berenson and Fred Bernstein. Executive producers include Jeremiah Samuels and Rick Jackson.

New story in Politics from Time: Tulsi Gabbard Sues Hillary Clinton for Appearing to Call Her ‘the Favorite of the Russians’
(NEW YORK) — Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard filed a defamation lawsuit against Hillary Clinton on Wednesday over an interview in which Clinton appeared to call Gabbard “the favorite of the Russians.”
Gabbard, a Hawaii congresswoman, said in her lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan that Clinton’s comments in a podcast last year in which she suggested that Gabbard was being groomed by Russia to be a third-party candidate were based on either her own imagination or “extremely dubious conspiracy theories” that any reasonable person would know to be “inherently and objectively unreliable.”
During the Oct. 15 Democratic presidential debate, Gabbard criticized a TV commentator she said had called her “an asset of Russia.”
Without naming Gabbard, Clinton appeared to agree with the characterization during a podcast appearance days later on “Campaign HQ with David Plouffe.” Plouffe was campaign manager for President Barack Obama in 2008 and served as served as a senior adviser to the president.
“She’s the favorite of the Russians,” Clinton told Plouffe, who was campaign manager for future President Barack Obama in 2008, referring to a person she had earlier identified as a woman “who’s currently in the Democratic primary. … They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”
The lawsuit charges that Clinton “reserves a special hatred and animosity for Tulsi” because Gabbard endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders over Clinton in the 2016 Democratic primary campaign and never endorsed Clinton.
Asked to comment on the lawsuit, Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said, “That’s ridiculous.”
Gabbard, whose support among Democratic primary voters has averaged around 1% in polls, has said she will not run for president as a third-party candidate.
