Many years ago a Palestinian mother wept for her son, the son of man and the divine, a man who wished for peace and loved even those who hated him.

His mother wept, she watched him bare the cross they would hang him from and saw her little boy helping his father and learning to create.

She saw her baby killed for the crime of caring for his people. For going against what is done to do what is right.

Mary Mother of God, when you look down on your homeland, do you weep for the holy mothers of the martyred?
