napoleon fandom (or what there is of it) needs more marshal x marshal ships
hahaha ~~~fAnDoM~~~ I remember there being drama like six or seven years ago over people referring to it as such, which is neither here nor there. Just so much hot air blown over something that doesn't matter lol
Anyway, I support this! I feel like Davout is prime for some Peak Angst given the antagonism between him and everyone. Pure enemy-???-lovers? energy here. Especially Davout/Berthier or Davout/Murat. Thiébault was just a little bitch [affectionate].
Duroc: we have to go stop another duel.
Napoleon: AnOtHeR oNe?? Davout, why is all of Paris and her mother trying to duel you?
Davout: no comment, sire.
Murat: He started it, I swear.
Berthier: I can't believe I'm here and ready to fight but I am.
Thiébault: I call first dibs.
Napoleon: sweet baby jesus preserve me from my marshals

Napoléon sighs when comes the time for the Football World Cup. It's chaos in the office, there are bets (wayyy too much money is changing hands, and Masséna and Augereau are particularly industrious, it's irritating), too many discussions about the corruption of referees, and there's only so many times Napoléon can endure the description of the very same goal. But there's another competition he fears more.
The Rugby World Cup.
It is the drawback to working with Southwesterners. Soult has no more time for baking. Jourdan's office is bedecked with rugby paraphernalia. Lannes is, of course, unbearable. But even Bessières turns into a maniac! As to Murat, Napoléon long gave up in even pretending he didn't know what the work sessions in his brother-in-law's office really were about.

HOW DID THEY GET THE AT-TE TO SEELOS
those things need specialized gunships to deploy. and those gunships don't have hyperdrive and need a venator to go anywhere.
the at-te also has a landing platform, so it was probably built before rex's y-wing vanished.
which means that at one point those three had an entire venator, at least one at-te carrier gunship, the tank itself, at least one y-wing, and probably whatever ship wolffe arrived in.

An armchair that had once belonged to Soult, sold at an auction. From the catalogue:
The furniture originally comprised at least six armchairs, two bergères, four chairs, a chest of drawers, a bed and a somno. This furniture was commissioned by Marshal Soult, probably around 1805. It is mentioned in 1810 in the bedroom of Monseigneur le Duc among the Marshal's papers, kept at the Archives Nationales, among various repair orders and invoices. [...]
Just to resume: Soult may have ordered that thing in 1805, before leaving for the Austrian campaign. He only returned home for a couple of days on his way from Berlin to Bayonne in late 1808. And in 1810, when he was fighting in Andalusia, the chair is alread listed as in need of repair. Okay, one thing is for sure: Monsieur le Maréchal had not broken it, he had barely had the time to sit down on it yet!
After living Quai Voltaire, the Marshal and his wife moved into the former Hôtel de Talleyrand-Périgord, 69 rue de l'Université, in 1803. This furniture was probably one of the very first orders placed for this new residence. During this period, the Soults frequently commissioned the cabinetmaker Cercous, who worked on rue du Faubourg Saint Antoine until 1826 [...], particularly for modifications to existing furniture and probably for certain purchases. All the furniture can still be found in the Chambre du Nonce [of the Pope] in 1852. The hotel was at this time divided into five furnished rented flats.
