everyone talks about the ugly side of DID a lot, but something i love about having DID? rediscovering shit and getting to experience it for the first time more than once.

for example, today i rediscovered resident evil 2 and got to play through the tutorial without knowing wtf was gonna happen. even though i’ve already played it before. because i forgor. (THAT COP GOT SPLIT IN HALF?? LIKE HOLY SHIT?)

i also had the wonderful experience of watching the mario essay for the first time again. it was glorious.

i think its kind of funny summer, raven, and ruby are all my number 1s (theyre in a tie for number 1 fav character cuz i love them all to such an intense amount) and considering how things have been going, their relevance with each other, and their color palettes….. akademiya dottore and reader as the mario the idea vs mario the man essay, i cant explain my thought process on 3 hours of sleep I'm gifting you this idea, i also just think the idea of dottore with his head in his hands saying "you cant just say perchance" is really funny- 🎈

Dottore has read his fair share of horrible essays from his "scholarly" peers and even qualified researchers and he struggles with how they even made it into this institution, but he's never quite encountered an essay like this one. If it could even be called an essay... no, it can't be. Who starts an essay with "Everyone knows that Sumeru's plants are cool as fuck." He puts his pen down after the first sentence because you simply cannot be real. Admittedly he writes strange stuff in his notes too but those are notes. Not an essay!

I'm not sure which would be funnier. If Reader is genuinely very bad at writing essays or if Reader is actually very good at them and just wanted to troll Dottore. Either way, he's exasperated and done with you for wasting his time.

He didn't specify, so '95 volunteered to write an essay about one of his heroes: Mario.

I let him, and he gave me the paper. I was... well, it could be better. So we turned to Rayman (who met Mario personally) for assistance.

Honestly, I'm not sure!!! In Four Swords, Link (plural) was referred to by The Great Fairy as "the greatest of heroes", so I suppose he could be called The Great Hero, but that doesn't really follow the classic "Hero of ___" naming scheme (and also I'd imagine he is not someone who would refer to himself as anything of the sort—too modest. He wouldn't even mention it in conversation. Took the easy way out and was like "yeah uhhh i'm a knight of hyrule just call me knight") so it's like. Well I guess he's just going to be title-less.

(Also, in regards to the mini fics—okay, so I did post the first chapter of the first work here. It's only 1k words, very 'slice-of-life'-esque, literally me just sticking these guys in situations for fun. I started off with Knight's entries first because his formal/"proper" personality is fun to try and write to me. Had to physically stop myself from writing in "Perchance." like that one stupid Mario essay while laughing like an idiot)
