Author's note: Hi, hi, everyone. This one-shot has been sitting in my drafts for a while now but I FINALLY edited it. So, yayahwgsgsjshs. Also whilst talking about the reader's gaming skills, I might have projected a little too much, yeah sorry about that.

You sat cross-legged on the couch, a determined look on your face as you tightly gripped your controller. The colourful world of Mario Kart played out on the TV screen in front of you, and you were absolutely certain that this time, victory would be yours. But, there was a tiny problem - you were absolutely, unequivocally, and hilariously terrible at video games. It was almost impressive how bad you were. You, however, were in complete denial about your lack of skills. Instead, you firmly believed that the reason you were losing was because your boyfriend was cheating.

"You're cheating," you accused, narrowing your eyes at him.

Max chuckled, his eyes fixed on the game. "I'm not, love. I've just had more practice."

(You crossed your arms, looking absolutely adorable in your pouty frustration. Max couldn't help but smile and resist the urge to pat your head like a mischievous kitten).

But you weren't having it. You knew the reason you were losing couldn't possibly be your own lack of gaming prowess. So, you hatched a plan. With determination in your eyes, you scooted closer to Max on the couch, your fingers itching to snatch the controller from his skilled hands. As you moved closer on the couch, leaning towards Max to snatch his controller, he decided to take matters into his own hands. In one swift move, he pulled you onto his lap, your surprised squeak filling the room. He placed his hand above yours, which was still firmly on the controller, and looked into your eyes.

"Schat," he said, his voice warm and tender, "I'll teach you how to play this. You'll be beating my ass in no time."

You were still pouty and looking absolutely adorable, but you nodded, realizing that maybe, just maybe, Max could help you improve your gaming skills. "I know what to do, Max," you protested weakly.

"Shh," Max hushed you with a gentle smile, and your heart melted. You were sitting in his lap, and he was going to teach you how to be a pro at Mario Kart – what more could you ask for?

Over the next few races, Max patiently guided you, explaining the mechanics, tricks, and shortcuts. You listened attentively, your determination to win gradually replacing your frustration. Finally, after a few races, the moment of truth arrived, and you BEAT MAX. Your victory was met with an impromptu dance and an exaggerated "L" sign.

"You did it, my little champion!" Max cheered, genuinely proud of your accomplishment.

With a joyous grin, you returned to Max's lap, burying your face in his neck. You showered him with hugs and kisses, peppering his cheek with affectionate smooches. Max's heart melted at the sight of your overflowing love and affection.

"Oh, and by the way," Max said, a mischievous twinkle in his eye, "you owe me ice cream for losing."

You pulled back, your eyes wide with mock surprise. "Ice cream? Well, I suppose I can't argue with that. My baby deserves a treat."

Max chuckled, leaning in to steal a sweet kiss from your lips. "That's my girl."

Hi Any Ideas A Spltoon Spin Off Game?

OH YOU BET I HAVE IDEAS FOR SPLATOON SPIN OFFS!!!

First, we need a fighting game. In fact I made a post about my ideas for a Splatoon fighting game.

(Shameless plug shameless plug)

Second, we need a rhythm game. I made a post about that a while ago but I can't be bothered to find it.

I don't care what style it's in, I don't care if it's like DDR, Guitar Hero, OSU, Project Diva, I don't care! I JUST WANT A SPLATOON RHYTHM GAME!!! The god damn Persona franchise has rhythm game spin offs, Splatoon should get one already!!!

Third, a racing game. That sounds like fun. Inklings are in Mario Kart and they are so damn fun to play as. I know there's Callie and Marie mods too for Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart and Mario Kart 8, AND ITS SO CUTE!!!

Fourth, they should do a mobile version of Tableturf with online matchmaking. It would be cool to connect it to your splatoon 3 save and get your cards and decks and battle randoms online on your phone.

If the Splatoon franchise wants to evolve, then spin-offs are a great way to expand. Pokemon has like a trillion different spin offs, Mario, Animal Crossing has a bunch of them, Zelda, like come on Nintendo. If you want Splatoon to be EVEN BIGGER, give us spin-offs. Give us more stuff to chew on!!!

Welcome, to the Amazing Digital Raceway!

This idea spiraled out of control. Initially, it was just "hehe pretty lady on a motorcycle" and now it's turning into an AU.

So here we are, folks, the Amazing Digital Raceway; a game where players race against each other (and sometimes NPCs) for fun prizes. All races and prizes are dictated by the commentator and owner, Caine, with his.. co-host, Bubble.

Obviously, Ragatha comes first cause I'm obsessed with her. Sucked into this strange world with no memory except for how to ride a motorcycle, Ragatha is pretty similar to how she is in canon. Only major difference being she is much, much, much more used to getting tossed around now. Especially with Jax intentionally trying to run her off the track.

After all her time being stuck in this digital racing world, Ragatha has sort of put escaping on the backburner. A way out would be nice, sure, but her plate is already so full trying to make sure everyone else has as good of a time as they can.

Who knows? Maybe the new arrival will change all of that?

On Birdo's Gender

Heads up this post will quote manuals and website descriptions and by no means supports the messed up language in it. It was wrong then and it is wrong now, this post is purely for educational purposes. Also, this is meant to be a useful tool to use against people who try to use this Pink Dinosaur to be losers all while clearing up any actual confusion.

So... appearing first in Super Mario Bros. 2 USA, Birdo first gets the following description in the manual. "He thinks he is a girl and he spits eggs from his mouth. He'd rather be called 'Birdetta.'" But it is a bit different in the Japanese version than in the localization. "Katherine, thinks they are a girl and spits eggs from their mouth. Calling them Kathy puts them in a good mood." So while the Japanese manual isn't as bad it is still not great. The reason for this Japan isn't the kindest to trans people. Many people themselves in Japan will use pejoratives to refer trans people, mislabel them, make "jokes" at their expense, and yes misgender them. Look no further than that one Metroid developer interview where a developer called Samus Aran a newhalf as a "joke." This information provides some context on why Birdo is treated the way she is not just in the West but in Japan itself. Btw as a side note on this idea of "jokes' this also might be the reason the Mario series uses Luigi wearing Peach's dress as a joke so often. To the point they made this description for Luigi which can be interpreted as implying some things about Luigi. "When Toadette finds one of these, she can transform into the super-powered Peachette. (Sorry Luigi-only Toadette can use this item!)" Note, the Luigi thing is a maybe and not guaranteed, this is just speculation. That aside, let's move on.

Shows up in a Japanese commercial where she has a deeper voice, which is points to the obvious fact that she is intended to be trans. Side note, trans women can have both deep and high pitched voices, and thus this depiction of Birdo can go either way here.

Next up is a description of from the Double Dash Japanese Website. 「ヨッシーの彼女に見えて実は彼氏!?」 "Birdo appears to be Yoshi's girlfriend, but is actually his boyfriend!?" This is some more of that yikes moments when it comes to Birdo and how they are treated.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Popple appears to almost misgender Birdo but ends up not doing so. This seems to be a decent depiction of her. Now some people believe she is being deadnamed, here, however Birdie seems to be just a pet name she likes being called.

So at this point people on this topic typically bring but the next thing and call it a day, but I have more here to bring up. So some people bring up Birdo's Brawl description, but it is irrelevant to this topic because Smash Bros. is not canon.

Next up Birdo's BS Super Mario USA depiction. As mentioned in a previous post, Birdo has sisters. This also makes some decent treatment of her and her sisters. In addition the Super Birdos are voiced by Jun Donna, Rika and Akemi which are all trans women if I am correct. If I made a mistake at all here let me know. In addition they all have deep voices. Now Birdo in Paper Mario: Sticker Star Birdo sings a song. “Heart of a woman, heart of a man… Both can know of love's grace…” This one is a bit iffy, it might be intended to be something intended to be used to mistreat Birdo, or it might not be and is just meant to refer to her being trans. Side note, in Paper Mario: Color Splash Birdo sings a song that references Doki Doki Panic and her relationship with Yoshi. In addition her being a performer in this game is a follow-up to what she said she would do in Superstar Saga.

Next up is Birdo's descriptions in various games. Games like Super Mario RPG, Mario Superstar Baseball, Mario Tennis, Mario Kart Double Dash, and Mario Party 9 all use the correct pronouns for Birdo. Now I've heard it claimed Super Mario Party does the same but I don't have access to it, and it is also claimed in the UK version it misgenders her. It also has been claimed that in the Japanese versions she is also misgendered but again I don't have access to those to check them. But even if the Japanese did say that, it would be better to abide by the US localization's usage of Birdo's pronoun since she is intended to be a trans woman.

Finally in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Birdo is featured on the sponsor Women Of Racing Organization thus acknowledged her as what she is. Now on Birdo spitting out eggs alongside the rest of her species doing the same. It is never stated anywhere whether or not the Birdos have sexes, and they obviously don't have any spectrum sexual dimorphism as most Mario characters don't So it is probably safe to say Birdos either are sexless, or if they do have a sex then like Yoshies all Birdos can make eggs.
