When was the last time she didn't work? Or spend time worrying about working or about her son? "You know that there is no legal reason for them to keep me here, right? I can just leave if I want to." Raine sighed. If she thought she could stand without becoming too dizzy, she would leave and deal with the possible health repercussions in the near future. "You're going to have to entertain me. Otherwise I'm getting out of here." She looked at him to appraise his appearance. It hadn't been that long but he looked different. The breakup wasn't pleasant, what split was but it was as mutual as it could be and she understood. Their lives were different. "Tell me what you've been up to." And if she didn't get answers within the next hour, she would crawl out of the hospital if it came down to it.

She'd always been quite an independent woman, a quality he'd come to love. However, at this particular moment he wished she wouldn't want to hurry up on getting back to work and rather stay put and rest, like the doctors suggested. Marco knew he could be a bit harsh at times but he tried not to go down that path, be there for her instead for all the good they'd shared once. His expression softened as he looked at her, choosing to word things in a calm way, hoping she'd actually listen. "Raine, you fell from the roof, hit your head and passed out. They need to check if there's internal bleeding, rule out surgery-- you can't just get discharged and get back to work." He explained, taking back the seat besides her bed. "I'll stay here, long as it takes, and so will you okay?" @grapefruitey
