Schedule and Expectations for the Event!
Hello everyone, thanks so much for stopping by! We wanted to give the planned timeframe for the zine so folks will know if they will be able to apply and join the event or not. Since this is a minizine that should not succeed more than 20 artists and 5 writers, there is a shorter time frame to work with.
Our expectations are 1.5k-2k completed writing pieces and artwork must be coloured, neat, and have a basic background. Art pieces must be digital. We will make clear of what we expect from our applicants during the application
The schedule is in the read below. It will also be available on our carrd once that is up. Please expect that this weekend.
Interest Check: November 21st through December 5th.
Applications for writers and artists will start on December 12th and end on January 6th
Results if you were accepted or not will be out by January 9th.
First Check in is February 17th. This is also the final deadline for folks that need to drop out so if we need pitch hitters, we can reach out to them.
Second Check is on March 17th
Final HARD deadline is April 9th.
If you have any questions, please let us know. Things are subject to change since life does happen, but this is what we have right now.
Thank you, everyone! Please make sure to please keep our pinned post circling around.

This week’s #zine #review is of “Behind the Zines #13: A Zine About Zines” put together by Billy McCall!
I love this series as a kind of journalism focused on the zine community. In this issue, we’ve got comics about food and zines, an interview with minizinester Mer (creator of the Catholic shrine minizines you might remember from March!), backstory about Razorcake, and more! I was especially interested in the pieces about Patreon. (I’m considering opening a Patreon of my own — keep an eye out for that!) Anna Jo Beck talks about the practicalities of setting one up, likes and dislikes, all the interesting parts. I enjoyed reading this zine and I’m looking forward to the next one!

Tell Us About Yourself!
I'm a freelance artist who loves drawing pretty hair, pretty people and using pretty colors with a dash of there-is-no-such-thing-as-too-much-sparkles!
Favorite JEM Band & Why?
The Misfits because I've always been into rock music and love their edgy and catchy tune
What do you love best about their music?
Apart from their great sound, I love their self-confident and unapologetic attitude for being ambitious and wanting to succeed lyrics
Anything Else?
Jetta's sax is a great addition to their music. If only it was featured more.

Tell us a little about yourself!
I am an artist from the Pacific Northwest who goes by she/her pronouns. I have been a fan of Danganronpa for over a year now, and I am so excited to be drawing for the minizine!
Who is your favorite unpopular Danganronpa character and why?
It’s very hard to choose but I would have to go with Sayaka. She is such an interesting character and I love her design.
If you could tell that character anything, what would it be?
I think I would tell her that I think she is really cool, and that she really made dr1 stand out in terms of deep and flawed characters.
Any additional comments you would like to add?
This zine is amazing; there are so many talented artists working on it, and I am truly honored to be a part of it.

Hello, zine friends! It's March 1st, which means today is day one of Mini-Zine March! The monthly where I celebrate the mini-zine, the itty bitty, the tiny, and, well, pretty much anything under A5. 😅 Share pics of your fave minis, review some minis, and, of course, make some mini-zines. For all of March, I will be reviewing only zines under A5 size, and there will be bonus reviews as well. I'd love to see what you're shouting out/working on, so be sure to tag me/let me know / use the hashtag #minizineMarch #zine #zines #minizine https://www.instagram.com/p/Buc7BXtBPMO/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1evn78bbax9nm

in what order should i read all of your stuff so i know the full canon? i'm a bit;;;; confused;;;; sorry;;;;
Depends -- what universe?
I ask because on the character page (that sorely needs updating) there’s two big series listed to segregate characters by it because SOME characters don’t have any full/completely definitive publications about them (publications here meaning “anything in my shop or on my website under publications”) -- they may have SOME but a lot of their ‘story’ or information comes from art works I’ve done over the years (though a gist of it can be found on that character page.) So if you’re looking for certain canons...that might be best to look.
If you’re looking for an order to read works in, again, depends on the universe. Most of my works do not need to be read in ANY order (though some might have callbacks or callforwards to others with varying degrees of spoilers.) I’ll group them below and number the order for any that need to be read (or would be best read) in a certain order if an order applies -- otherwise, they’ll be bulletted meaning you can read in any order.
This is as of 10 March 2018, of course; the best barometer is, again, my publications page. Entries will tell you if its a sequel or nah.
Ninety-Nine Righteous Men series
Ninety-Nine Righteous Men (main story)
Corpus (side-story, pre-interquel to Ninety-Nine)
Teufelskreis #1 (technically it’s own universe but references this one; is a stand alone but has a spoiler/callforward to Ninety-Nine)
Incense (Easter fun side story, requires no knowledge)
Untitled series (informally called Prêtre et Zi though that’s an out of date placeolder from the aughts)
{familia}
NANSENSU #1 comic “Human”
NANSENSU #2 comic “Can’t”
“Want”
sacraments series
First Holy Cummunion
Cuntfirmation
Diary Comics - technically numbered and some belong to “cycles” a la poetry but do not need to be read in any order
one diary comic is included in “publications” though they can all be found under sequential art > comics > diary comics)
Miscellaneous Comics - stand alone, require absolutely ZERO prior knowledge
MIDORI-CHAN『みどりちゃん』
Ritual
la mort d’un étranger
『死にたいのか』Do You Want To Die
minizines (NOCAZ 2016)
11/08/2016
And Gender My Enemy
presby†eros
Tag Your Gore/Pomegranates, Asswipe
All of these are on my website under publications either for pay or for free.
I am also the interior artist of Velvet Rasputin’s Rasputin Barxotka 5: The Serpent so if you see any talk about that or VR, that’s what that is. It’s pretty cool and free online (mind: the universe of Velvet Rasputin is amazing and I think The Serpent is fairly followable on its own right but admittedly it’s a vast universe Vas has created with interlocking stories.)

(40 copies printed) Free Download — When I opened 本 \hon\ books, I wanted it to be a bookshop, an exhibition space dedicated to books and also a library. I soon realised that giving access to the archive was complicated due to the lack of space for people to consult them. So I decided to produce once in a while themed exhibition showcasing the collection. I tried to find something that would bring a selection of books together without being to arbitrary. That’s how I realised that I was obsessed with minibooks and minizines. This first show brought together 20 of the smallest publications in my collection.
