#March 2021 Calendar

You know what drives me crazy. When (senior, usually) people in the workplace excuse themselves for bullshit because they're "really busy". Like someone just told me to check back in with them a few days before a meeting we scheduled because they're "really bad about double booking their calendar" ummm just a thought why don't you simply not do that. Another old chestnut is "don't email me that because my inbox is too overwhelming!" the rest of us have figured out how to read all of our emails that's literally like the most basic function of this job
#idk I will go ahead and brag I guess and say I almost never feel this 'busy' feeling to the point that it stops me from reading things#or using a calendar. that's never happened to me#omg I had this old boss who was notoriously just a ridiculous person#and he was FRANTIC all the time like in his mind he was completely overwhelmed with the burden of the world#and we literally did nothing like every single day nothing happened and he could never tell me what he needed help with#I haven't worked with him since march 2021 and I just saw on linkedin that he's kicking off something I thought we had kicked off#for a HUGE project that is supposed to be wrapped up in 2024 to be launched statewide in 2025#like he's announcing stage 1 and it took him 3 years

FTH 2024 Auction Calendar
We blinked, and it's 2024, and our EIGHTH year of running this auction. 2024 has all the same problems as last year but more â but we also have a lot to be hopeful about, and a lot of good projects worth supporting and fighting for.
You can look at this page (also linked in our header) for the list of this year's supported nonprofit organizations. We'll be posting more detailed profiles of each of them in the coming weeks. Below is the full calendar for this year's auction.
February 5th: creator signups open
February 12: Fan Craft Bazaar signups open
February 19th: creator signups close
February 29th: browsing period begins, Fan Crafts Bazaar opens
March 5th: bidding opens
March 9th: bidding closes
March 16th: proof of high bid donations due
March 20th: Fan Crafts Bazaar closes (individual stalls may close sooner)
March 21st: proof of 2nd chance donations and Craft Bazaar donations due
December 31st: fanworks due
Back in 2021, as we were pulling together the fifth FTH auction, we joked together behind the scenes about how great it felt that the name of our auction was no longer quite as on-the-nose as it had been in our first few years. But it's 2024, and in all likelihood 45 will be back on the ballot: just one of the many sobering and scary things we're facing down this year.
But for the past seven years, we've had the privilege of watching thousands of fans -- yes, literally thousands -- dedicate their time and money and energy to the twin projects of sending support to some amazing organizations while building and strengthening community ties within fandom. Now, more than ever, that kind of community-building is essential.
We hope you'll join us, and join one another, in sending much-needed financial support to these amazing organizations and in putting more joy and beauty out into the world in the form of fanworks. These are dark times, but when we join together we can make them a little brighter.

The Day Sebastian Vettel Decided To Retire From F1 â Then Annoyed Aston Bosses With Climate Campaign
Two years ago, Sebastian Vettel decided to bring an end to his glittering F1 career, so picked up the phone to Matt Bishop, then Aston Martin comms boss. He details the ensuing scramble and Vettel's increasing determination to speak out
Just over two years ago, on Wednesday July 27, 2022, I was forced to do something that I really hate doing: at the eleventh hour I had to cancel a long-standing dinner arrangement with my husband and two of our dearest friends, who live in New York and were on holiday in London for a week. The reason was that, at 5 pm that afternoon, I received a phone call from Sebastian Vettel telling me that he had decided to announce his retirement from Formula 1 in the Hungarian Grand Prix paddock the following day. I was Aston Martin's chief communications officer at the time, and, when something as big as that is sprung on a Formula 1 team's most senior comms/PR operative, he or she has to drop everything and focus on briefing colleagues in confidence, writing press releases, planning social media content, arranging press conferences, and formulating comms/PR strategies designed to optimise the management of a tricky news narrative that in this case would surely unfold rapidly, and perhaps also trickily, over the next 24, 48, 72, and 96 hours. I have written above that Vettel had "sprung" his decision on me, but, although the imminence of his announcement was a surprise, its content was not. Four months earlier you will recall that he did not travel to Jeddah for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, since he was recovering from a bout of Covid-19. His place was taken by Nico HĂŒlkenberg, who, despite race-rustiness caused by his not having competed in F1 the previous year, did a typically excellent job.
Seb had made no secret of his disapproval of the Saudi regime when we had all gone there the first time, in December 2021, and, not surprisingly, in March 2022 rumours soon began to spread to the effect that he had invented a Covid-19 diagnosis so as to avoid racing there a second time. The truth was that he had indeed had Covid-19, and that he was indeed still unwell; however, was he disappointed to have had to skip the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix? No, he was not. Two weeks later, in Melbourne, he was back. On the Thursday before the Australian Grand Prix, in the Albert Park paddock, I gave him his comms/PR briefing, as was my habit on the Thursday before every grand prix. We discussed media matters of moment, including his not having raced in Jeddah. "The truth is that I was ill, honestly," he said, "but I admit that I don't like or approve of the country, so if I was going to have to miss a race because of Covid-19 that's probably the one I'd want to miss." He paused, smiled, and added, "I'm pretty sure I'm never going to race there again." Then and there I realised that 2022 would probably be his final season as an F1 driver. Not only was the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix going to be a fixture on the F1 calendar for years to come, but also one of Aston Martin's principal sponsors was Aramco, Saudi Arabia's state-owned national oil company. Missing that particular race without a 24-carat excuse would henceforth therefore be impossible for any Aston Martin driver. So, axiomatically, it followed that the only way he could make sure that he would never have to race there again would be to retire from F1 at the end of the year.
On the morning of Thursday, July 28, 2022, having worked until 3 am the night before, my comms/PR team and I issued a video in which our much loved four-time world champion announced his F1 retirement in his own words, and he posted it on his then brand-new Instagram channel at the same time. It included the following sentences, which he spoke with his usual eloquence: "I love this sport but, as much as there's life on track, there's also life off track. Being a racing driver has never been my sole identity. I want to be a great father and a great husband. I believe in change, and progress, and that every little bit you do can make a difference. We all have the same rights, no matter where we come from, what we look like, or whom we love. I'm an optimist and I believe that people are good, but, in addition, I feel that we live in very difficult times. How we shape the next few years will determine the rest of our lives. Talk is not enough. We can't afford to wait. I believe that there's still a race to win." The race to which he was referring was his growing and accelerating commitment to doing whatever he could to leverage his fame and popularity for the good of the inhabitants of planet Earth. That may sound grandiose, but it is also entirely valid. In the two years during which I worked with him, 2021 and 2022, we won awards for the inspirational way in which he did just that.
Just before the 2021 Styrian Grand Prix, helped by local schoolchildren, he created an F1 car-shaped 'bee hotel' at the Red Bull Ring. Three weeks later, straight after the British Grand Prix, in which he had raced hard for forty laps until his Aston Martin's Mercedes engine had terminally overheated, he led a group of volunteer litter-pickers to clear the Silverstone grandstands of the trash that irresponsible spectators had left behind. A month after that, in Hungary, infuriated by that country's new anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, he wore rainbow-coloured sneakers in the F1 paddock, and he donned a similarly hued T-shirt bearing the legend #SameLove as he took the knee on the grid before the race. Throughout the weekend he had talked to journalists and TV crews intelligently, thoughtfully, and compassionately on the subject of LGBTQ+ rights, equality, and inclusion. In May 2022 he visited and spoke inspirationally at HMP (Her, or now His, Majesty's Prison) Feltham, a young offenders institution in a suburb of west London, formally opening a new workshop in which the teenage inmates could learn how to become car mechanics as part of their rehabilitation. Immediately afterwards he and I took a South Western Railways train to London's Waterloo Station, sitting among regular commuters, so that he could spend time with the pupils of Oasis Johanna Primary School, which is in a disadvantaged part of inner London, and after that we went by Uber taxi to a church in Hackney, in the East End, where the BBC's prestigious political television talk show Question Time would be filmed. As the TV cameras rolled, he conversed fluently on the subjects of Brexit, the UK's cost of living crisis, the then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson's 'partygate' shenanigans, and even Finland's desire to join NATO, consummately out-arguing one of his fellow panellists, Suella Braverman, who was then the Attorney General for England and Wales and the Advocate General for Northern Ireland.
In addition, as the months went by, he continued to speak out in support of what he saw as humankind's collective global responsibility to address the climate crisis, doing so with increasing regularity, vehemence, and fearlessness, with the result that he began to irritate the very most senior people at Aston Martin, even though what he said tended to please most journalists and fans. "I donât care," he said when he learned of his big bosses' disquiet. "I must do what's right." Behind the scenes what he did was perhaps even more admirable. F1 teams receive communications from troubled people all the time. You try to do what you can to help them, but sometimes their difficulties are of the type that human kindness alone cannot resolve. I am thinking of recently bereaved people, terminally ill people, profoundly disabled people, people with debilitating mental health issues, etc. Sometimes all you can do is send them a team cap signed by a driver. It is not much, and it breaks your heart that you cannot do more, but it is better than nothing.
Yet Vettel always tried to do more. On one occasion, I had been contacted by a young man who was deeply depressed. I told Seb about him, and he said, "Let's do a Zoom call with him." So I arranged it. I had thought that Seb might speak for five minutes or so, but no. He chatted animatedly for more than twenty minutes, with touching humility and heart-warming empathy, and I feel confident when I say that those twenty-odd minutes were significant in expediting the lad's mental and emotional recovery. A few months later, Seb hand-wrote the boy a four page letter. He gave it to me at a grand prix-I cannot remember which one-and he instructed me to post it on when I returned to the UK. I read it before I did so, and the tenderness and beauty of Seb's prose brought me to tears. There are many other examples of his remarkable generosity and sensitivity: too many to mention, in fact. This column has been about Vettel the man, not Vettel the driver. He was fast and clever in the cockpit, and I may well write about that side of him one day. I could write much more about Vettel the man, too, for I have dozens of stories that I could tell on that subject, because I worked very closely with him for two years and, more importantly, because he is a truly great man. In my long career I am lucky enough to have spent time in F1 teams with four world champions-Seb, Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, and Jenson Button-and they are all fantastic guys in their own, very different, ways. But, in my 61 years on this planet, I can state with confident and emphatic certainty that Sebastian Vettel, from the small town of Heppenheim, south-west Germany, is one of the most impressive people whom I have ever had the pleasure and honour to know, whether that be inside or outside F1. As he is fond of saying, "You can't always be the best, but you can always do your best." As a maxim to live by, it is hard to beat.

The day itself is the 1st November, but celebrations begin on October 31st, and this has become the accepted associated day. It's a festival of the dead, where the sĂthe, fae and spirits, can enter this realm from their own. Wiccans talk of a 'veil' thinning, meaning the boundary between worlds. Similar death related festivals around this time can be noted in other faiths from across the globe, and of course in the modern Hallowe'en.Â

The lore goes that she was proposed to multiple times and turned down many but went on to orchestrate conflict when a potential suitor - Olaf Tryggvason, King of Norway - attempted to convert her to Christianity. Â
DECEMBERÂ
REMEMBRANCE FOR EGILL SKALLAGRĂMSSONÂ Â

SATURNALIAÂ Â
17th - 23rd December Â
Origins: Ancient Rome Â
Observed by: Roman polytheists, some Hellenic Â
Like Yule and Lesser Dionysia, Saturnalia was the Roman winter festival celebrating the coming return of the sun and honouring the god Saturn. The standard feasting and drinking feature, and slaves would be treated as equals like Dionysia. Saturnalia is another festival cited as being picked up by Christians and used as inspiration for Christmas. Â
WINTER SOLSTICE (YULE/MIDWINTER)Â Â
21st December Â
Origins: Germanic nations, as early as C4th CEÂ Â
Observed by: Norse pagans, Wiccans, Neopagans, LaVeyan Satanists, ĂsatrĂș, Heathens, many Germanic nonpagan peoples Â
Yule is the midwinter festival known commonly among pagans as a time for feasting, being with loved ones, remembering ancestors, and looking forward to the return of the light and warmer days. Many pagans will celebrate Yule for more than one day, some celebrating a week either side, some for longer, up to two months, and some for twelve days afterwards. True Yule would have originally been in January for midwinter, but King Haakon the Good Â
moved it to coincide with the Christian celebrations in the 10th century, as told in the Ynglinga Saga. Â
On the 24th of December, Anglo Saxons are said to have celebrated 'Mothers Night' honouring female ancestors.Â
RURAL/LESSER DIONYSIAÂ Â
End of December/beginning of January Â
Origins: Ancient Greece Â
Observed by: Hellenic polytheists Â
Smaller festival honouring the god Dionysus (Greater Dionysia took place in cities at the end of winter). Feasting, mask wearing to stop distinction between classes so that everyone could feel equal, sacrifices, parades, and phallic display were all used to celebrate.

"MPL's [Paul's London office] interior style is quietly art deco. Its walls are hung with modern paintings, or framed photos by Linda McCartney, and pride of place goes to her famous shot of Paul and John, laughing and grasping each other's hands at a Sgt. Pepper party in 1967." (Conversations With McCartney, Paul Du Noyer, 2016)
"Children's artwork hung on the walls and above the doors. He was a guy who could afford Picassos, but chose to display his kids' finger-paintings. A big jukebox shone from his sitting room. On the bulletin board in the kitchen were personal photos of McCartney with John Lennon." (http://www.meetthebeatlesforreal.com/2014/09/one-fans-secret-paul-adventure.html)
"A quick scan of his studio kitchen reveals a copy of Mary McCartneyâs recipe book and a John Lennon calendar; Marchâs pin-up is âMoody Johnâ in sunglasses posed against the New York skyline." (Interview with Mark Blake for Q:Â Songs in the key of Paul. May, 2015)
"I recently bought a lot of drawings and writings by John. I have them on my wall so I get to look at them all the time." (Paul, The Lyrics, 2021)
âMcCartney tells me he treasures a six-foot-tall print of a photo he has of himself and Lennon, taken by Linda during the White Album sessions. "I've got the pad and I'm writing, and he's just looking over at me, and you can see the body language and everything: These guys love each other." (interview in GQ 2018)
#hmmmm#my heart đ#Im totally normal about this#I know none of this is new to us but still#I wonder how Nancy feels about their house being full of John-related stuff

saw a couple posts about today (Aug 9th) being Damian Wayne's birthday, but when I looked for a source I couldn't find one for the life of me. which of course sent me down a rabbit hole of batfam birthdays. so.
Official Birthdays
*official as in they appear in canon and seem to be the most popular amongst fans. a bunch of these knuckleheads have multiple birthdays.
Cassandra Cain was born on January 26th according to Batgirl (2000) #33, though in that same issue she celebrates it some time in June because fuck her dad.
Bruce Wayne was born of February 19th according to the Detective Comics #494 fan letters column. Or April 7th, if you're looking at Star Spangled Comics #91 (Golden Age), or October 7th in Legends of the Dark Knight (2021) #10. Feb 19th seems to be the one that's used most often.
Dick Grayson was born on "the first day of spring" (aka March 20th) according to Robin (1993) Annual #4, or November 11th according to the Super DC Calendar of 1976, or a week-ish before Halloween according to Secret Origins (1986) #50, or December 1st according to Young Justice (2011) #20. March 20th fits into the robin origin story though, so we're gonna go with that.
Alfred Pennyworth was born on April 8th according to the Super DC Calendar of 1976, or August 16th according to Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Five #26 (side note: double colons in titles should be illegal). Neither of these are anywhere near real canon, but Injustice is supplementary material for a fighting game, and I'm always more inclined to go with a pure comics source. Plus this way he and Jason don't have to share.
Tim Drake was born on July 19th according to Robin (1993) #116. He's only got the one birthday and in that issue he totally forgot about it.
Jason Todd was born on August 16th according to Detective Comics #790. No information on when exactly his rebirth day is.
Barbara Gordon was born on September 23rd according to the Super DC Calendar of 1976. That's the only source we've got so that's what we're gonna use.
Unofficial Birthdays
Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas, and Damian Wayne have never had their birthdays stated in canon, so most people have assigned them birthdays based on either their debut date (Duke) or some other criteria that is a mystery to me. Those dates (from what I have gathered) respectively are:
Steph: August 11th, Duke: August 13th, Damian: August 9th
WHY ARE THEY ALL AUGUST??? THAT'S 4 (or 5 if you count Alfred) BIRTHDAYS IN THE SPAN OF A WEEK! WHY DO THEY ALL HAVE TO BE LEOS???
anyway that's the fruits of my afternoon/evening. if anyone has corrections with sources or dc canonizes a birthday in a comic I'm not reading (which is most of them, my comics taste is stuck in the 90s/early 2000s), let me know.
#dc comics#batman#batfam#cassandra cain#bruce wayne#dick grayson#alfred pennyworth#tim drake#jason todd#stephanie brown#duke thomas#damian wayne#barbara gordon#jesus christ this is a long post

So, apparently Matt Walsh is unaware of the concept of a coincidence.
Or how calendars work.
Or how moons work... to an extent.
Joe Biden is just affirming an established international annual event. The day of this event was chosen in 2009 and it happens every year on March 31st. He has been making this proclamation since 2021.
A youth advocacy organization, Trans Student Educational Resources, spearheaded advocacy for a day of remembrance for all of those murdered and lost simply because they were trans.
I personally don't see how that is evil.
And because Easter is determined by ancient moon shit, it just so happens the two days coincide this year. If you don't want this to happen, pick an actual day!
Are people seriously expected to change an international day of remembrance because it lands on the same day as a major Christian holiday?
Before picking the day should they have mapped out every full moon after every equinox until the end of time to make sure they didn't overlap?
Also, there have been some Wikipedia shenanigans from folks who don't seem to care for this coincidence.
I'm guessing that won't be there long.
Matt Walsh is scum. And it is really annoying when he does dumb shit to make me defend Joe Fucking Biden.

Luz is actually 13 at the start of the Owl House and here's why (Owl House timeline analysis).
Please read!!! đđ
Ok, so I've been rewatching the owl house recently through Danny Motta's videos on YouTube, and it got me to thinking about the years the owl house takes place in and the logistics of the BI and Earth time zones. So, I made an analysis:
*SPOILERS BELOW*
First off, let's talk about Luz.
When you look up Luz's age online, it says that Luz is canonically 14 years old in the show. But when you look at the events of the show (*Spoilers sorry*), we see that Luz is celebrating her birthday on the BI, and we see Eda say this line:
Ok, no big deal, right? Well, if we look at the events of the show, we know that the kids were in the Human realm for a while. It was fall in the human realm when the kids arrived after the day of Unity. After the montage of them in the Human realm, it is shown to be Halloween. This means that they would have been in the Human realm for a little under a year, meaning it doesn't make sense that Eda would say that line because Luz would have already turned 15 during that year in the Human realm while the collector was controlling the BI.
So, for this timeline, I'm gonna reference @drachenfalter's calendar analysis (check it out, it's great). In this analysis, they use this picture of a BI calendar.
We see here that the calendar has 42 days in a month, and so their analysis shows that the BI would have 9 months in a year instead of 12, meaning the time zones don't change, but the calendar is longer (hence, why Luz can text her mom in the same time zone).
For Luz's birthday, there is no specific birthday stated for her, but for the sake of the post, I'm gonna head cannon it to be April 8th because that is the day Watching and dreaming came out. Watching and dreaming came out in 2023, and there is a 3-year timeskip at the end, with Luz having graduated High school already in the human realm and preparing to start college in the BI. If we assume that the timeskip takes place in that modern day in 2023, then that would mean that Belos's final defeat takes place in 2020, and the start of the show would have taken place not in 2020, when the show came out, but in 2019, 1 year prior, explaining Luz's narration at the end.
With that in mind, here is my timeline Headcannon.
Luz- 13 years old at the start of the show finishing 8th grade.
Time: Mid-May or beginning of June 2019.
Luz birthday: April 8th (H.C.)
Luz turns 13, finished 8th grade, Camilla sends luz to camp; Luz leaves for BI in Mid-May (March for BI), 2019.
Luz learns magic, attends Hexside, dates Amity in the span of 5 BI months, 7 Earth Months. (It is fall when Luz finds Vee and returns home after the day of Unity).
Luz fights Belos and goes back to the Human realm in November 2019 (September for BI).
The Hexsquad go live in human realm for 1 calendar year, give or take.
- Luz goes back to school, the gang experiences the different seasons in the Human realm montage in Thanks to Them, time jump ends at Halloween.
Luz turns 14 during this time in 2020, and is a sophomore in high school in Thanks to Them (reminder: there is no pandemic in the Owl house universe)
The Hexsquad fights Belos again and goes back to the BI on Halloween in 2020 (End of August/Beg. of September for BI).
The Hexsquad saves the BI in November 2020 (September for BI).
*Timeskip 3 years later*
Luz turns 15 in 2021, spends it rebuilding the Isles.
Luz turns 16 in 2022
Luz turns 17 in 2023, reaches the end of senior year, graduates' high school in the human realm with Vee.
The finale takes place on April 8th, 2023 (February for BI).
- Luz turns 17, celebrates her "King-ceañera".
Luz goes to magic university in the BI in 2023.
- Luz's move in date for school is shown to be August 21st in "Watching and Dreaming", which would be June for the BI, meaning that Luz will have left for school 3-4 months early since she is also shown to be packing in the episode.
Ok, so one last thing to note, with this timeline, the finale would take place in 2023, and Luz would be celebrating her 17th birthday in the BI. This means that Luz would have still been a legal minor when starting college. My head cannon is that Camilla allowed Luz to stay with Eda and Raine for the 3-4 months before starting school, and constantly checked in on Luz during her time in the dorms before turning 18 (as well as long after, of course:)). Eda and Raine would likely also coparent to make sure that Luz was keeping up with her move in process and magic studies.
Anyway, that's my timeline analysis for the Owl house! Hope y'all like it! (I also have other Head cannons for the ages of the other Hexsquad members that go with this timeline if y'all wanna know).

Another round of ~things~ but more related to Episode 1:
Thing #1: Jammer goes to Roosevelt University. Season 2 is occurring during his Spring Break
Assuming the holiday episode from Season 1 happened in December of 2021, according to Roosevelt University's academic calendar, MisMag Season 2 is possibly happening during the week of March 3rd, 2025
Thing #2: In Episode 1, Jammer said he was planning to just work out during Spring Break
Meaning even if he hadn't gone on the mission for Dr. B., he still wouldn't have gone to Punta Cana to have fun with Aaron and his other teammates...
Thing #3: Dr. Boodleâs history class wasn't part of the curriculum for the Pilot Program during their first term, but Jammer said they'd probably take his class on purpose the next semester because Dr. B. was so cool
Jammer didn't return to Gowpenny after The Lulling, which was at the end of that first term
Jammer never took Dr. Boodleâs class
#misfits and magic 2#mismag 2#whitney jammer#forget Sex Magic 201#Jammer you promised to take Dr. Boodle's class!!!#thinking about how Jammer doesn't allow himself to take a break#his intro for Season 2 included agreeing to work during his summer vacation - which should be his holiday! a break!#and then he gets invited by Dr. B. to go on a magical mission during spring break - another holiday gone!#even the latest episode he didn't have a chance to properly sleep and he solved that issue with the effects of caffeine - which isn't rest!#20yo is too young to hit burn-out Jammer please#if the spring break is happening in march of 2024 instead of 2025 though#season 1 was recorded in march of 2021#so season 2 would be taking place almost exactly 3 years since mismag was first filmed...

Day 2,557 [G.W]
[Pairing:]Â George Weasley x GN!Reader
[Summary:]Â A boy comes into the joke shop with his mother; It felt all too weird for the one-eared owner to feel so at ease, something he never felt for the past 7 years.
[Warnings:] angst, sad, major character death (not Fred obv), reincarnation, grief, mourning, swearing
[a/n:] Scrolling through facebook and getting videos of children talking about their past lives really intrigued me. This is my first fic and it might be bad so please donât bully me, Iâm sensitive <3 (jkjk but I am open for constructive criticism!)
[a/n; March 2024] I wrote this draft back in 2021 or 2022 I believe, waiting desperately for the opportunity to finish and post this. That time never came. Now, 2 or 3 years later, I gravely admire my vocabulary, creativity, and passion for writing back then. Honestly speaking, moving schools killed my spark and I am desperate to get it back. For now, I am working on reviving that spark within me by going back to where I started. Even though the HP fandom isn't as active as it used to be, I would still like to share this piece I made because I am so, so proud of my younger self.
â°ââ€â*+:ïœĄ.ïœĄâÂ·Ë ïżœïżœïżœ **à©â©â§âËËË°âą*ââ·
There was something about Y/N wearing white that George loved so much. He always got so giddy and cute which in turn made their eyes roll and mouth grin.
The way Y/N looked sitting at the Great Hall with their white sleeves rolled to their elbows, one hand under their chin and the other twirling a spoon while their eyes dragged along their charms textbook, cramming in as much information as they could for the upcoming test that afternoon.Â
Or that time at the Yule Ball when they thought itâd be funny to wear an all white ensemble because: âWhat?...I wanted to feel like a bride at their wedding.â whilst having the best night with George, their âgroomâ.
Even small moments like when they would steal a shirt from Georgeâs drawer and wear it to sleep. He loved every single bit of it, even if it cost him many shirts.
He truly never got enough of them wearing white. So seeing them in a casket wearing that same color 7 years ago, looking so peaceful and so⊠dead. That killed him. Thatâs the last time he will see them in white; Thatâs the last time heâs going to see them at all.Â
That was the last time he could actually feel their hand rather than just dried oil on linen canvas, framed in oak and hung atop his bed. How he wished their eyes could roll one more time at how stupidly in love their boyfriend is with them, especially in white.
Voldemortâs reign of terror had ended, as well as the lives of many others, and maybe even George. They were a horcrux he never made, his life force created by deep love and affection rather than the hunger for immortality.
It never got easier even after 7 years, he simply just got used to it.Â
He got used to the feeling of an empty bed. He got used to gripping onto a cold body pillow instead of a warm figure and a heartbeat with Y/H/C hair disturbing his lips. He got used to counting the days since their death which gravely disturbed Fred, his twin. He got used to waking up everyday and checked off a box from the calendar with an absurd amount of numbers on it.Â
Admittedly he is doing better than he did 7 years ago. No more jumping from every small sound and drawing out his wand in the middle of the night. No more vivid dreams of several dead bodies laid across the Great Hall. No more crying himself to sleep. No more missed dinners. No more grieving.Â
Heâs longed for them longer than he has actually been with them. But his love never faltered. Not once.Â
â°ââ€â*+:ïœĄ.ïœĄâÂ·Ë àŒ **à©â©â§âËËË°âą*ââ·
Day 2,557
It's now exactly 7 years since the Battle of Hogwarts. And in a month it would be the 7th anniversary of his obituary for Y/N on the Daily Prophet, a suggestion made by Percy to try and help his grieving brother. It helped, but not really.Â
The small May 2nd, 2005 box wrote âBaby Vicâs Birthday!â in bold red ink. George moved the yellow paper star that stuck gently onto the calendar with paper tape as Fred walked into his room. Envelope in his hands, bread between his teeth, and a beautiful haughty looking owl on his shoulder.
âFun to finally see you up, Georgie!â Fred greeted sarcastically as George hummed in response. âBill just sent an owl that little Vickyâs turning 5!"
"That is usually how birthdays work, Freddie." George joked, grabbing his wand and with a flick, his bed is magically fixed. "I'm not a dumbass, you know?" Fred chuckled lightly as he handed George the letter from Bill and Fleur, "They're hosting a party for her at the Burrow at 5."
He took the piece of parchment and flattened it by his desk before pulling it closer to his face, his back mindlessly pinning itself to the wall.Â
Dear Fred and George,Â
Bill here, As you should know, it's baby Victoire's 5th birthday today and we would really like love to have you two come by the Burrow at 5 pm.Â
Vic really misses you both. Uncle George this, Uncle Fred that. Sheâs going to be like you two one day, Iâm tellinâ ya. She loves listening to stories you tell her, especially the ones about Y/N and Tonks. She thinks that theyâre the coolest people ever and that she wished she could meet them. I simply told her that one day she would, but itâll be far far away from now.Â
Hope to see you later! Please owl back immediately, Vicâs got Ginnyâs temper.
xx Bill
âIâve already owled them my âhappy birthdayâ letter before Chouette came.â Chouette, the owl cooed at the mention of her name. Slightly shuffling her feathers therefore lightly tickling Fred's neck, making him shiver. The haughty owl flew from Fred's shoulder to George's making the younger twin chuckle.Â
"Seems like Chouette is telling you to take a bath, mate." George laughed as the back of Fred's hand flew to his forehead. "I got us crepes and bread for breakfast! And you go on and call me stinky?" Fred exclaimed dramatically.Â
"How 'bout you be a dear and write to Bill and Fleur that we are going to Vic's party, alright?"Â
"Yeah, yeah, I'll do that." George agreed, taking out a roll of parchment from his desk drawer as well as a quill and a bottle of ink. "While I eat my breakfast and write this, will you be a dear and take a bath!" Fred cackled at his younger brother's statement. Though in a bit the sound of water dropping down the shower head echoed through the small flat above the shop.
â°ââ€â*+:ïœĄ.ïœĄâÂ·Ë àŒ **à©â©â§âËËË°âą*ââ·
School owls poured in as numerous Hogwarts students wanted to take advantage of the annual â54% off âEnd of Warâ saleâ at Weasleyâs Wizard Wheezes held in memory of the fallen 50. Because in Fred and Georgeâs philosophy, â...We might not be able to save them, but they can save our customers over 50% off of all our products!â
It seemed insensitive but itâs the thought that counts. They wanted to make sure that their passing didnât go to waste, even if it is counted as a discount to the famous Diagon Alley shop.Â
Mr. Weasley and Mr. Weasley were rather busy picking up and shipping out their joke products, sending it to the owls who were perched up in a little area at the back of the store, nibbling on insects Verity; a part of their staff had handed them before sending them back to the school her bosses previously dropped out of.Â
It was nearing lunch time when everyone wearing magenta robes stocked up the shelves again, having been sending out owls since 8 in the morning when they heard a clanging from the front doors, signaling that a customer had finally came; A middle aged woman looked starstruck whilst holding onto a young boy thatâs slowly getting out of her grip, having the same eagerness as his mother.
It wasnât unusual for customers to react this way coming into the Weasleyâs joke shop. The boyâs eyes sparkled while the mother looked in admiration. The mother crouched down to hold onto her son, keeping him from running while his mouth spilled with words.Â
âMum, we have to get something for Mia!â the boy cried out eagerly, eyes darting towards every single corner of the store. Georgeâs mouth upturned into a sloppy grin whilst listening to the boy.Â
âMarty, thatâs sweet of you, but we already got the quill she wanted.â The mother said quietly, running her hands over the boyâs shoulders, easing it. âAnd itâs your birthday...â George didnât know what came after that as he took the chance and walked towards the small family with a big smile on his face, quickly followed by Fred.Â
âHeard itâs a little manâs birthday.â inclined George, hands in his pockets and head down turned. The mother looked up and stood from her spot, giggling slightly as she kept a hold of her sonâs shoulders. âWhatâs your name?â he asked, now being the one to crouch down in front of the boy.
The boy tilted his head to the side, eyes slightly strained. He looked both confused and hyper focused at the same moment. Though weird, George thought nothing of it. After all, he was a kid, the man heâs looking at has one ear, and the hyperfixation was quickly ended by the slight shake of his shoulders. The mother looked down at her son, silently telling him to introduce himself. And so he did.Â
"I'm Martin! I turn 6 today!" the boy said enthusiastically, bringing a smile on George's face. Being around Martin felt odd, it felt so unapologetically peaceful and rather⊠familiar.Â
"SIX?!" Fred loudly piped in. "Well now that's big, little man!"Â
The mother was slightly startled by the appearance of the ginger's twin, though the same cannot be said about Martin who simply smiled absentmindedly.Â
"I knew you before." said Martin, eyes targeting the younger twin. George smiled and kept close to the boy, keeping the conversation going. "Really?" he asked with vivid curiosity, he did not recognise the boy or his mother but fueling a child's imagination wouldn't hurt anyone.Â
"How?" piped in Fred, now also crouching beside his twin, "And why just him?" he asked comedically, pointing to his brother.Â
"Since we were 11." Answered Martin with no signs of struggle on his face. The red haired owners looked at each other, though more in disbelief than in confusion.Â
"Thought you said you were 6, Martin?" George asked with a kind look on his face. The boyâs mother shook her sonâs shoulder harder than she did the past few times, mumbling âMarty, what did I tell you?â in tired disbelief.
âMâsorry mum.â Martin said with a pinch of sincerity before turning back to face the bigger man in front of him. âI was 20 before I became 6.â âMarty.â
Chilling, the owners thought. As they were 20 at the time of the battle of Hogwarts.Â
âIâm so sorry Mr.--â
âWeasley.â Fred replied as the confusion simmered throughout his twin brother. âSâreally nothing to worry about Mrs.--?â
âEdevane. But I truly am sorry, heâs just a very imaginative little kid. Always has stories of his quote-unquote âpast lifeâ.â she explained, making the kid become a bit mad. âBut mum, itâs true!-â
âMarty, how about we look around the store, alright? Mr. and Mr. Weasley could show us around perhaps?â Mrs. Edevane hinted to the twin owners, relief gracing their legs as they were now able to stand on their feet.Â
âYes, we can certainly do that! Come along Marty, tell us more about this âpast lifeâ of yours.â Fredâs arm wrapped around the small boyâs shoulders, showing him around the color filled shop. âSorry about that Mrs. Edevane.â he added mischievously, âHere at Weasleyâs Wizard Wheezes, we like to encourage creativity and imagination.â
â--As it is the reason we got here.â George finished, giving Mrs. Edevane a kind smile as they start roaming around the shop. âUhh. Mr. Weasley.â Her fingers tapped onto Georgeâs shoulder. His head whipped around and mouth about to open when suddenly the 6 year old spoke; âMum, Mr. Weasleyâs name is George. This oneâs Fred.â
The utter shock that went through the twin wizards was clear as day. No where in the shop did it say the ownerâs names. Even their name tags; The little badge pinned on their suits merely wrote âMr. Weasleyâ. Fred, being the initiator that he is, leaned forward. âNow how can you be so sure, Marty?â he teased, âWhat if I tell you that youâre wrong?â
Martin simply smiled, angling his head a bit to the side again. âMr. George has a longer face, down turned eyes and eyebrows, heâs a bit taller than you, Mr. Fred. You have a squarer face and shorter features than him.â he explained smoothly and innocently. As if itâs something heâs observed over the course of his whole life.
âMaâam, Iâm afraid your sonâs a genius.â George joked, even if heâs visibly disturbed, though nonetheless intrigued. Nobody has ever differentiated them this way, even their own mother. Though one person did. The one he cherished most. The mother smiled, holding onto her son once again.Â
âIâm no genius.â Martin spoke, a shy smile gracing his small little lips, so identical to the personâs portrait above Georgeâs bed. He even said their typical response to their mind being praised.Â
â-- I just quietly observe.â
Martin spoke but George merely whispered. A shiver ran through his spine, heart pumping, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. It couldâve all been a coincidence. One big coincidence served on a silver platter, garnished with confusion and terrifying accuracy.Â
âMr. Weasley?â
He snapped back, giving the woman a sign to continue. âUh, I just wanted to ask... err. Why that big of a discount? Why is it 54% off of everything? That doesnât really sound like a good marketing strategy, doesnât it?â She asked curiously.Â
âWell Mrs. Edevane.â George started, seeing as Fred and little Martin were still going around the shop. âRemember the last wizarding war?â Mrs. Edevane shook her head. His smile faltered a bit but still kept his composure. âWeâre, what you call it? Muggle--born?â Her eyebrows furrowed while her teeth sinked into her bottom lip. âWell, my daughter... err. Just started her first year and that McGonagall woman said that sheâs a âmugglebornâ.âÂ
They truly didnât know who they are.
â-- What Iâm trying to say, Mr. Weasley, is that we, or at least I, am not magical. Nor is my husband.â He nodded, breathed in a bit as his mind tried to ease itself. The boy couldnât have known who he is as they wouldnât have known anything about the prophet, or could they?
âWell, Mrs. Edevane. 7 years ago at this date. The second wizarding war has ended. My brother-in-law defeated... him.â It was still hard to say his name, even years later. âV-Voldemort.â
She looked curious but silently let him continue. âUh, remember when. Uh-uhm that bridge collapsed in muggle london? 7-8 years ago? A big hurricane happened? When a lot died like-â It was hard to explain. Truly. It was hard to live through it again.
âLike that Emmeline Vance lady?â
âYes, exactly!â He exclaimed. âIt was all caused by him. By wizards! Dark wizards!â Her previously bright face now looked horror struck. It was all making sense. âSeven years ago, this day. Everything ended at Hogwarts. As well as the lives of 54 on our side.â He wanted to mention one very special loss, but figured that she doesnât need to know about it. She was just a muggle mother who brought her son birthday shopping. âWe wanted to commemorate them.â
A sincere look graced upon her face, out of pity. âIs there any chance that youâve seen anything from the âDaily Prophetâ, Mrs. Edevane? Or your son?â He asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence. She shook her head, now gracing a look with pure confusion. âA-Anything. Like a paper? A newspaper with moving photographs? Or maybe a-a Quibbler?â
She shook her head. âWhyâre you asking Mr. Weasley?â His mouth opened, about to burst out his concerns and held in grief to a complete stranger when; âGeorge!â
It was Fred, hand resting on his twinâs shoulder as the six year old boy beside him just stood. â-- Can I talk to you? I need to talk to you.â He said, fright gracing his features and panic in his voice.Â
George nodded, bidding a quick goodbye to the mother and son who came in a few moments ago and calling for one of their faculty to give them the tour they wanted.
Fred pulled his twin to an empty corner of the shop. Sound muffled by the stacks of products ranging from fireworks to extendable ears. âThat boy George.â Fred panted. Voice shaking. âHe knows too much. Is there a chance that you put anything about how Y/N saved me?â
âBriefly. Why?â His heart was about to pop out of his chest at any moment. Any moment now his heart would be a new WWW product.Â
âHe explained everything! Everything George! Knew things that he shouldnât have!â Fred said, terrified. âWhat did he say?â asked George. Croaking out whateverâs left in his heaving lungs.Â
âHe said that he saved me. Me and Percy! From the explosion! I didnât think much of it at first, George! I knew that you wrote that in their obituary. But he just kept going.â Frightened. They were both frightened. âEverything they did. He knew.â
âHow accurate was he?â
âVery. George. Disturbingly accurate.â Back straightened and composed, Fred stood back, eyes darting back and forth from his brother to the entrance of the shop. âHe knew that they transfigured the rubble to sand. He knew that they cast that ring of fire shit they did. The diabolica thing to ward off the death eaters? Yeah. He named the spell. HE NAMED THE SPELL, GEORGE!â
âI heard you the first time!â George yelled back. Disturbed, yet he felt at peace. He could have the last goodbye heâs always wanted. âWe need to talk to the boy, Fred.â
His twin nodded fervently, about to walk away from the corner when he felt an arm tug on his elbow. âOi, how can we do it without worrying the mother?â
âGive whatever he wants for free. Itâs his birthday after all. Now come on!â

Temari was pregnant on her wedding day: A Naruto Timeline analysis
[usual disclaimer: I love studying canon timeline but no one's headcanons have to be bound to it just do what you like bye]
Note: for simplicity, I gave years numbers, the Kyuubi attack/Naruto's birth are in 2000 and the other dates are based on that
Fact 1: Gaara is at least 20
In Gaara Hidden, one of the councilmen tells Gaara "You've steadily grown, and reached the age of twenty" and Temari and Shikamaru are in the process of choosing their wedding date in this novel as well, so the Wedding has to happen later than that.
We know from the data book that Gaara is from the same school year as Naruto, and born in January, so he is born in January 2001. (In Japan, the school year is from April to March of the next year and the children in the same class are the ones born during the same school year, not civil year. If you want to know why I say that data books are based on school years, not civil years, flick me a request and I will happily do so! Just not here because it'd be too long.)
We can conclude that the wedding is in February 2021 or later.
Fact 2: Shikadai graduates 15 years after the 4th war
There is no indication that I've found in canon material about when the Boruto events happen, but we can read in this interview that Naruto Gaiden happens 15 years after the last chapter of Naruto. (We will have to assume that "last chapter" here means chapter 699, not 700, or else all the new gen has spent 15 years being teenagers at the academy.) Naruto Gaiden opens with Shino telling the class (Shikadai is there) that the graduation exam will be in a week.
The issue here is that chapter 699 happens in October (Minato says happy birthday to Naruto in chapter 691 the same day, and we know from the data books he was born in October) and the graduation is presumably in March (again, that's one the school year ends, and Itachi is also said to graduate "in the springtime" in Itachi Shinden). So it could mean either 15,5 years later, or 14,5 years later.
The 4th War happens in October 2017 (Naruto turns 17 during it, that's the age the data book gives us).
We can conclude that Shikadai graduates either in March 2032 or 2033.
Fact 3: Shikadai graduates at 11
It is the minimum age as per the law (it is said in Itachi Shinden, this law is made shortly before the Rookie 9 graduate: ânow that it was a time of peace [...] it was no longer possible to graduate in a short time [...] no matter how talented Sasuke was, he couldn't become a ninja until he was eleven years oldâ).
It is the age at which all the Rookie 9 graduate (they are said to turn 12 during the first year of naruto and 13 during the second, again, I can give more details about data book ages in another post if needed).
The naruto wiki tells me that the Naruto data book says he is 12 for the Chuunin Exam, but the scan I have of the data book do not seem to indicate any age that I can find?
So this is not 100% a fact that I have found a canon material number about, but it's the most logical possibility (he's not allowed to graduate younger, there's no reason he would graduate older, this is what happened to the previous gen, and this is what the whole fandom seems to believe, so, yeah).
Similarly, everyone seems to agree that his birthday is September 23, I have not found where that comes from yet, but I have to assume it does come from somewhere. If you know please tell me!
[Edit: apparently it comes from a bonus calendar in the Shounen Jump issue 6-7 of 2019 but I haven't found a scan yet.]
We can conclude that Shikadai was born in either September 2020 or 2021, depending on the graduation date.
Conclusion
If Gaara Hiden and the wedding were in 2021, Shikadai cannot have been born in 2020, so he has to be born in September 2021. If we imagine that Gaara Hiden takes place right after Gaara's birthday (the earliest date) and then Temari and Shikamaru got married on the month that followed, Temari would have been 2 months pregnant, and this is the minimum she could have been.
Your honour, they have sinned.

Subverting the federal government was on the minds of state lawmakers Thursday in an hours-long civics lesson from far-right speakers.Â
As promised in the 2023 session of the Tennessee General Assembly, the idea of nullification was heard during a summer study session in Nashville. The idea is, basically, for Tennessee to be able to nullify rules from the federal government that it does not like.Â
(Read our cover story â âWhoâs Got the Power?â â from March to get more details on Tennessee, state sovereignty, and nullification.)
Bills to outline a nullification process in Tennessee go back to at least to 1995. A similar resolution passed in 2021 but it was specific to Covid. It condemned the federal government for mandating vaccinations, restrictions, or requirements.Â
Another came last year when state Rep. Bud Hulsey (R-Kingsport) and state Sen. Janice Bowling (R-Tullahoma) filed the âRestoring State Sovereignty Through Nullification Act.âÂ
In it, the legislature could decide what federal rules they wanted to follow or not. Also, if a voter scraped together 2,000 signatures, they could submit a petition for a nullification to the Speaker of the Tennessee House. Â
The bill gained very little traction, if any at all. Neither bill even got enough support to place it on the calendar for a full committee hearing. The idea was slated for a summer study review in 2023. However, that study was interrupted with a special session on school safety, in the wake of the Covenant School shooting that left six dead. Â
But Bulsey and Bowlingâs idea did finally get that summer study review, even if it was actually in the fall of 2024. True to form on these sessions, Thursdayâs hearing yielded no votes or promise of any course of action. It was purely for review.Â
The session was not a town hall. State Sen. Richard Briggs (R-Knoxville), the committee chairman, said he knew the idea was âcontroversialâ but did not allow members of the public to speak, or clap, or boo. That right to speak came only for the experts called upon by the legislature. Those selected for this duty Thursday were roundly (and soundly) conservative.Â
Jeff Cobble is an attorney and member of the conservative Federalist Society. Joe Wolverton is the inaugural constitutional law scholar for the ultra-conservative John Birch Society. Mark Pulliam is an attorney and writer who, in an August blog post, prayed â⊠a single juror would vote for President Trumpâs acquittal in the circus-like show trial âŠâ in Manhattan.Â
The hours of their testimony ranged back to the Declaration of Independence, through the 1781 Articles of Confederation, and to 1787 when the U.S. Constitution was proposed. Lots of it dove deep into definitions of the words of the constitution, like âall,â for example.Â
âIâm going to take you like elementary school students through this so this is plain,â said Wolverton in a detailed section of the Constitution to elected lawmakers. âWeâre going to go through it phrase by phrase.â Â
As for the meat of the separation of powers (and therefore what power Tennessee really does have in nullification), Wolverton presented his ideas wrapped like a click-bait-y YouTube video. âIn an hour,â he began, âI can show you how the 14th Amendment is taught wrong.â Â
âState â capitalized â has a specific meaning,â he said. âItâs got to do with the sovereign. Nations today are nation states. They are sovereign.Â
âIâm suggesting to you something radical, something I did not learn in [constitutional] law. The states are sovereign over the federal government. Now, take that and chew on it. Thatâs what this billâs about.âÂ
Some spice in the meeting came late as state Sen. Jeff Yarbro (D-Nashville) began asking questions of the panel. He asked if the work of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) helping out now in East Tennessee was an example of what they were taking about.
Yes, Cobble said, âItâs usurpation, whether itâs used for good or bad,â adding that communities come together in times of tragedy, noting specifically that âthe Amish, they build their own barns. They raise their owns houses.â
âYou know, good things can happen without a government,â he said. âSo, my answer is yes, FEMA is clearly unconstitutional.â

Tolkien Fandom Event Calendar
Recently Iâve received some asks about events/weeks in the Tolkien fandom, so I thought Iâd compile a list of those that I know about. This is not exhaustive, and dates are subject to change by the organizers of these events!
Other blogs you can check out are @tolkieneventsblog and @tolkienfandomevents, though Iâm not sure how active those are. The @silmarillionwritersguild Discord also has a channel dedicated to signal boosts for all sorts of Tolkien-related & general fandom happenings, which is another excellent way to keep up with fandom goings-on.
Want to run your own event? Hereâs some of my tips!
If your event is not on here and youâd like it to be, let me know and I can add it :) Note: I will only add events that have announced dates!

These two blankets are currently on my hook and I'm alternating between them.
The rainbow one is 3 weight acrylic yarn, also stored in the hoard since A.C.Moore's closure. The pattern is a stacked granny stitch used in March's stitch of the month from Jayda in Stitches' 2021 calendar blanket.
The striped blanket is also Bernat Blanket yarn (can you tell I have a favorite type?) in Yarnspirations' Lush Life pattern, which uses the Alpine stitch. I had actually planned to use this yarn to make a blanket for my youngest brother (I'll use his nickname, Bubba), who selfishly took all the height genes for himself and is already 6'6" and still growing. We were at my other younger brother's (who I am only allowed to refer to as Pie, he will accept no other name from me) apartment and I told him (Bubba) what I was planning and he immediately started making that face that all people who learn of a gift they don't want but will accept anyway because "family." I asked him what was wrong, and he hemmed and hawed for a few minutes before finally admitting that he didn't like the sensation of crocheted items against his skin.
I hadn't started the blanket yet, but I told Bubba that I would rather he had told me now so that I know and don't spend my time on making something he's not going to like. It would hurt my feelings more that he felt he had to accept something just because I made it for him. After I gave him a hug, our brother Pie, turns to me and says, "So, I hear you have yarn for a blanket, but no one to give it too. I find myself in need of another blanket." As if the little shit hasn't snagged everything I made that I didn't already have a person in mind for or kept for myself. He must have taken at least 20 pattern testing amigurumis and several blankets already. I have had to pat him down a few times for just completed projects that were commissioned before he left my place.
these are fucking art goddamn it
