why Marathi film industry not growing ?
Why people living in Maharashtra are not watching Marathi movies ? Why is the Marathi film industry not able to grow even a little for so many years? If you live in Maharashtra, then this question must have come in your mind at last once We all have been watching Marathi movies since childhood . earlier Marathi film industry was the biggest after Bollywood But now the Marathi film industry has gone down a lot What will be the reason for all this budget, scrape writing, money, Actors or marketing there are many reasons for this.
The growth of a film industry can be influenced by various factors such as investment, infrastructure, content quality, marketing, and audience preferences. If the Marathi film industry is not growing as expected, it could be due to challenges in one or more of these areas. Lack of funding, limited distribution channels, competition from other industries, or not catering to evolving audience tastes might be some contributing factors. It's important for stakeholders in the industry to address these issues and work collectively to promote growth. There is a reason for this. No one can tell a reason The reason for the non functioning of the Marathi film industry Double meaning comedy content of today Double meaning comedy is forcefully inserted in today's movies Because of which no person can go to the theatre to watch this movie with his family . Otherwise, you could go and watch the earlier movies with your family. Pure clean comedy that used to make you laugh a lot. Just like " Aashi he Banawa Banvi " , 'zapatlela" This Marathi film industry should send such a movie which can never be forgotten There are many other movies made in Marathi in which not even a single percent, double meaning comedy was added . And there is another reason, because of which Marathi film is not able to grow exponentially And that is the reason that you people are the ones who are not supporting their own movies, where Maharashtra, their marathi movie Because of that Marathi movies are not able to increase their budget We should support our language and our marathi movies .

EXCLUSIVE: Addinath Kothare on the journey of making Paani, “I haven’t seen such a hands-on producer like Priyanka Chopra Jonas”
Actor, director and co-producer Addinath Kothare also looked back at the challenging journey of making Paani.
Known Marathi star Addinath Kothare is making his directorial debut with the Marathi movie Paani. The film has won the National Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/ Preservation. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, Addinath said that he hadn’t thought about the fruits of his actions while making the film.
EXCLUSIVE: Addinath Kothare on the journey of making Paani, “I haven’t seen such a hands-on producer like Priyanka Chopra Jonas”
He said, “I have learnt from my father (veteran artiste Mahesh Kothare) and in my observations that whenever you think of the end result to start something, you never reach there, especially when it’s about art. The birth of the idea needs to be from an honest and genuine place. I have observed that whenever someone decides to make a ‘commercial film’ or a film for this or that reason, it never happens.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ banner Purple Pebble Pictures has produced the film while Addinath’s company Kothare Vision has line produced it.
Paani has been a long and challenging journey for Addinath. “Right from the conception to the release, I have spent seven years in this journey,” he said.
His journey of making Paani was met with a lot of challenges and changes. “Initially, I desired to act and direct this film,” said Addinath. “But as I started pitching the project, I realized it wasn’t flying because no producer or studio was ready to back me because they didn’t believe that I could deliver on this dream of mine. They thought how a debutant director can direct and act at the same time. I spent a year and a half to two years pitching the project to various big producers in Marathi and Hindi.”
Then Priyanka came to his rescue. “Later, I thought that directing this film is more important to me than acting, so I stepped back as an actor. I felt the story needs to be told by any cost. Then I stumbled upon my friend Neeraj Udhwani. We used to work together in Manmohan Shetty’s company. He is a writer. He told me that the creative producer from Priyanka Chopra’s banner Rashmi Kulkarni is looking for a good Marathi script. I narrated the concept and story to her, and she loved it. Then the readings and narrations happened. Finally, Priyanka, Madhu ji (Dr. Madhu Chopra) and Siddharth Chopra heard the script. They all loved it.”
Following this, Addinath showed the cast options to Priyanka. “But she said, ‘Why don’t you play it yourself?’ I looked at my writer and he looked at me. I said that was my desire, but I realized it was hard to sell me being a debutant director. She, Priyanka, Madhu ji and Siddharth entrusted and backed me. I am fortunate that I found producers like Priyanka and Purple Pebble Pictures,” he said.
These weren’t the end of challenges for Addinath as he and his team had to shoot in the extreme heat of Marathwada in the summer. “I was hoping to shoot it in January,” he said. “But by the time it was greenlit, it was March. So, I had no option but to shoot in May. I wanted to capture that harshness of the parched landscape of Marathwada region. January, February and March are bearable as the temperatures are not so high. But destiny was such that we had to shoot in the brunt of the heat in May in 45 to 47 degrees. That was a life-altering experience for all of us.”
Addinath was amazed by Priyanka’s involvement in the project. “She gave very essential inputs, which were so valuable to me,” he said. “One particular edit input that she gave kind of resolved a knot for me. It was extremely instrumental. I have not seen such a hands-on producer, who, at the same time, does so much else. She is doing a Hollywood film and web series and social work. Yet she finds the time to be hands on with a regional film. To reach the level where she has, you need only one thing that is hard work.”
Paani is inspired from a real-life story. It tells the tale of Hanumant Kendre who gets engaged to Suvarna (Rucha Vaidya). However, the marriage is called off after her family realizes that Hanumant’s village is drought ridden and the people are required to travel long distances to fetch water. As Hanumant is head over heels for Suvarna, he vows to solve the water crisis in his village, so that he can marry her. He receives unconditional support from Suvarna.
Relating this to his real struggle while making this film, Addinath said, “This woman from a small town stood up for this man because she believed in what he was doing against her family. I found two Rakhmais (Goddesses) who stood by me in this journey – Priyanka Chopra and Neha Barjatya.” Addinath revealed that Neha was also instantly impressed when she heard the film’s narration and stood by him and Paani.
Paani is releasing on October 18. When asked how much he is thinking about the box office, Addinath laughed and said, “I have got butterflies in my stomach. I am extremely excited and at the same time very anxious, edgy… It’s a mixed emotion. I can’t say it in one word. Words are falling short with what I am going through right now. This will be the first time that I will be seeing the audience react to this child of ours.”

Learn Marathi in No Time: 10 Tips to Speed Up Your Learning
Marathi, the cool language of Maharashtra, is calling your name! But where do you even start? Don't worry, this guide has 10 awesome tricks to make learning Marathi way faster and more exciting. Buckle up, because we're turning language learning into an adventure!
1. Make Learning Devanagari Delicious: Learning the letters (Devanagari) can be tough. But who needs boring flashcards? Find websites that turn these letters into yummy Indian food! A curvy "v" (va) can look like a delicious "Vada," and a loopy "La" can look like a sweet "Laddu." Now learning becomes a tasty treat!
2. Sing While You Shop: Imagine being in a busy market, needing to ask for things to cook - "tomato" (Tomāto) and "ginger" (Ālan). Start with these shopping words and practice saying them while singing in the shower. Learning can be musical, you know!
3. Counting Cars on Your Commute: Stuck in traffic? Turn it into a Marathi counting game! Challenge yourself to count cars using Marathi numbers (one = Ek, two = Don). This way, even boring commutes become fun practice sessions.
4. Solve Riddles, Be the Mastermind: Marathi rhymes and riddles (Zoge) are packed with cool words and catchy sounds. Turn them into detective puzzles! Find recordings online and see if you can guess the answer before it's revealed. The more riddles you solve, the more words you'll learn, making you a Marathi riddle champion!
5. Secret Agent Speak at Home: Pretend your house is a secret Marathi hideout! Label things with their Marathi names - bed becomes "Palang," lamp becomes "Diva." This creates a secret language environment where you're the cool spy (of course!). The more you use it, the easier it gets.
6. Bollywood with Marathi Flavour: Love Bollywood movies? Take it up a notch by watching them with Marathi subtitles. This exposes you to everyday language in a fun and familiar way. You'll be surprised how much you pick up just by watching movies you already enjoy.
7. Game On!: Learning shouldn't feel like work. Explore mobile apps and online games designed for learning Marathi. Match pictures to words, play quizzes, or challenge yourself with memory games – all while having fun and building your vocabulary.
8. Find Your Marathi Buddy: The internet connects everyone! Look for online communities where you can chat with native Marathi speakers at Hindustani Tongue. Talk to them, ask questions, and learn about their culture – all from your home!
9. Celebrate Every Win: Learning a new language takes time. Keep track of your progress in a notebook, writing down new words you've learned. Reward yourself for reaching goals, no matter how small. Every step forward is a victory!
10. Embrace the Journey: Learning a language is an adventure with ups and downs. Don't get discouraged by mistakes. See them as learning opportunities, and keep exploring the amazing world of Marathi.
Conclusion:
With these fun hacks and a little determination, you'll be surprised at how quickly you can learn Marathi. So, what are you waiting for? Start your Marathi adventure today and discover a world of cool culture and awesome conversations!
