I recently took a trip to San Diego to visit my cousin, so I decided to stop by SDSU campus to take pictures of the field Nick and Manny trained on.
Which brings me to an interesting point. This thing Juice said about getting a new stadium but plans falling through?
Plans did not fall through IRL! The old stadium built at an angle that makes the whole 20020 plot possible? Demolished to build a new stadium.
Pictured:
• The original SDCCU Stadium
• The new Snapdragon Stadium being built
• The finished Snapdragon stadium
Where the old field stood is now a parking lot.
Here is a picture of the exact patch of gravel.
Here’s the new stadium shot from where the old stadium stood.
Here are some panos taken standing where the old field was!

Interview: Jesse Lynn Madera and Dan Navarro @JesseLMadera @dannavarro @RIchLynnGrp @johnnycash #unchained #newmusic2023 #americahahighways#bellesentme
Jesse Lynn Madera has a new version of Johnny Cash’s “Unchained,” a harbinger of her album Belle Sent Me, which is due to be released in 2023. Jesse Lynn worked with producer Dan Navarro, the unsung hero/songwriter of songs such as “We Belong” (famously sung by Pat Benatar) and, more recently, the whimsical earworm with Lin Manuel-Miranda “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” Americana Highways had the…

Thread about Joanna of Castile: Part 9:Juana's arrival
Intrigues and Ambitions: The Political Landscape of Philip and Juana's Court
Erasmus' Epiphany speech in 1504, which he gave to Philip on the Coudenberg, was fatter than most speeches.
The princess was as chaste as Penelope; as pious as Claudia; as noble as Cornelia, mother of the Gracchi.
Yet, Erasmus had a pointed message: Spain was a temptation that Philip (and, by extension, Juana) had to resist.
Speaking in the voice of the Low Countries he declared:
“Spain crowned you, but I bore you. I admit I owe everything to you, but in return you owe yourself to me. That is a bold thing to say, but it is the truth. For I know I address my true prince, and not a tyrant.”
Jan Smeken, leading poet, or facteur, of Brussels’ chamber of rhetoric, De Lelie (Lily), feted Juana’s return in similar vein as essential to the peace, prosperity, and impregnability of the Low Countries. He compared her to the Trojan Palladium, divine image of Pallas Athene, which had put Troy beyond the reach of Greece.
But neither Erasmus nor Smeken had counted on Philip’s new favourite, Juan Manuel, lord of Belmonte de Campos, brother of the late Marina Manuel, and an ambitious and able diplomat. Manuel had helped prepare Juana’s first voyage to the Low Countries, commissioning the two Genoese carracks.
Although loyal to Isabel, he had a passionate antipathy for Fernando and was determined to whet Philip’s appetite for Castile.
Fuensalida felt sidelined:
“Don Juan … speaks in such obscure terms that I cannot understand the meaning, although I understand the words … They only speak to me in general terms; they do not call me to their meetings. I understand that these are about matters very different to those your highnesses would like to hear about, indeed, they are the contrary of them…”.
After Manuel’s arrival, Juana’s relations with the three Spanish ambassadors, whose joint despatches resound with Manuel’s voice, deteriorated sharply.

Episode 3: "Adrián" @queenmiriamele
The fifth columnists close in on Manuel while he recovers at Guillermo's house. Before he is discovered and finished off, the doctor pulls him to safety.
Amparo finally gets rid of Manuel, although another cause for concern arises: she is pregnant. The new situation leads to another conflict with Guillermo, who doubts the viability of the pregnancy in a hungry Madrid.
Meanwhile, in Portugalete, the soldier Adrián Gallardo prepares to box against Alfonso Navarro, a Falangist gentleman. The purpose of the combat is to distract the troops, but it turns into a duel between the Army and the Falange.
Clara Stauffer, a valuable liaison between the Falange and the German Nazi party, attends the fight. Navarro knows how to box, he is more technical and effective. Adrian is a willful brute. The honor of the military is at stake. On the verge of being defeated, the soldier is ordered to take him down with a low blow. Adrián is victorious, but his lack of legitimacy will haunt him for the rest of his days.
