Do you ever just cradle your creations and tell them you love them before sending them away?? 🥰😅 I don’t remember the last time I did a meet the maker post, so today seemed like a good day for it! Hello, my name is Gina! I grew up in New Jersey but currently live in Virginia with my husband and our two cats. 🐈‍⬛ I really love musicals, cats, foxes, and Sailor Moon! 🌙 When it’s not yarn time I like to play with resin, read (mostly fantasy 👑 currently reading the Shadow and Bone series), and play video games (currently playing Tales of Arise). 🎮 I’m really excited for the new Zelda and Final Fantasy games coming out soon and looking forward to replaying the Legend of Dragoon. 🐉 My favorite foods are baked ziti and pizza and oyakodon 🍚 and my favorite drinks are matcha lattes and Pibb Xtra! Cherry Coke is also acceptable especially since Pibb doesn’t really exist in the north anymore lol It’s probably easy to guess but my favorite colors are pink and mustard yellow. 💕💛 Let me know what some of your favorite things are! #mugshotmonday is a great time to mention most of the mugs did not make it into yesterday’s shop update. I really, really didn’t want to grind the drips. Sunday laziness? Yes, but also a deep need to watch the big Spring snowflakes that started falling. It was a lovely day. I will get them finished up and listed this week. ❄️ This one mug behaved in the kiln, so it is in the shop now. (Who’s a good boi?) It is glazed in @coyoteclayandcolor Stormy Sea which is a dark celadon glaze, but this mug actually shimmers in the light, which was a complete surprise. It must be a reaction to the new crystalline firing schedule, because I’ve never seen it do this before. Waking Witchblr: Makers Monday

Art is the interpretation of intention, and I like use fibre art in my manifestations, and sometimes as lasting long term spells. Since I crochet, I always spend a lot of time with each project, whether I'm working on it, charging it at my altar, or meditating with it.

One of my favorite tools to use in my crochet, is a list of stitch correspondences by the lovely @therestlesswitch which is linked right here for you!

I also find humming to my work also creates extra energy, that can be worked Into each stitch.

Since we are celebrating makers, here is my most recent work in progress. Once finished it will be a beautiful lap blanket made from all of the scraps from other projects. For me, yarn is the best medium for art because I find that it just carries so much intention and energy. There is nothing better to me than making a beautiful item that holds a lot of energy and being able to gift it to someone who needs whatever energy I have put into my work!
