re: the new discord mobile update, I keep seeing people shouting "send feedback!! tell them you don't like it!!" and honestly? Y'all gotta stop deluding yourselves LOL
Feedback sections like that get ignored. Maybe if Discord was in the business of making changes to benefit its users they would listen, but that's not what they're here to do. The Discord mobile update is here to do one thing and one thing only, and that's to appease stockholders so they can point to the new UI and say "see? look! we're doing things!"
A social media outcry is going to be far more effective than using the in-app feedback option, because social media can't be ignored. If we all played their game and kept our feedback in-app, they could sweep the dissatisfaction under the rug and pretend that there's tons of people who secretly love the changes. It's infinitely more useful to shout about it in a public facing manner so they can't ignore the problem. A public outcry affects their stocks. Feedback through the official channels does not.
The reality is that this update is probably here to stay, because reverting it would mean they wasted a bunch of money developing it, and wasting money is not what stockholders want to hear. Maybe they'll tiptoe back individual features piece by piece, but that's the best we could even hope for. Don't treat Discord like a poor little well-meaning indie company that accidentally pushed an update people didn't enjoy. This was purely to appease investors at the expense of the userbase. They don't care if we like it.
#discord#extremely annoyed by people acting like the social media outcry is the ''wrong path'' or whatever

Post+ is going away in January 2024.
We originally introduced Post+ to uplift and support the vast swathes of incredible creators here on Tumblr. It was intended as a way for creators to offer content to their followers in a paid subscription format.
Well, it didn't land as we'd hoped. We've heard your feedback and monitored usage, and after much consideration, we've decided to remove Post+ from Tumblr.
Here's the timeline:
As of December 1, 2023, you will no longer be able to enable Post+ on your blogs.
Existing Post+ content will remain accessible through the end of this year.
In early 2024, we'll remove the ability to create new Post+ content, and existing Post+ content will be marked as private. From then on, it'll be up to each creator to determine whether they want to make those posts public.
Subscribers will no longer be billed starting January 2024. If you subscribed using In-App Purchase from an iOS device, you’ll need to cancel your subscription manually to avoid being charged.
You can read more about this change over here.
And, while Post+ is going away, Tipping is here to stay. You can enable Tipping via your Blog Settings on web (Account Settings on mobile). Once a blog has Tipping enabled, any original post can receive a Tip, with the money going directly to the creator.

How do Nonprofits Make Money through Mobile Apps
Nonprofit organizations have always been known for their noble motives and selfless service towards society. However, the fact remains that they too need to generate revenue to sustain their operations. With the advent of technology and the widespread use of smartphones, nonprofits organisation have found a new source of income – mobile apps. Yes, you heard it right! Mobile apps have become a popular way for nonprofits to raise funds and generate revenue.
There are several ways in which nonprofits can make money through mobile apps. The first and the most common one is by accepting donations from users through the app like Sodality. The app can have a donation button that allows users to donate any amount they wish to support the cause. Nonprofits can also offer various incentives or rewards to donors as a way of thanking them for their contribution. For instance, they can offer exclusive merchandise, free entry to events, or even recognition on their website.
Another way nonprofits can make money through mobile apps is by offering paid services or products. For example, a nonprofit that works towards providing education can offer online courses or tutorials through their app for a fee. Similarly, a nonprofit that works towards animal welfare can offer pet care services or sell pet-related merchandise through their app.
Moreover, nonprofits can also generate revenue through advertising on their mobile apps. They can partner with local businesses or brands that align with their mission and values and display their ads on the app. This not only generates revenue but also helps in spreading awareness about the brand.
In conclusion, mobile apps have opened up new avenues for nonprofits to generate revenue and sustain their operations. By accepting donations, offering paid services or products, and displaying ads on their apps, nonprofits can not only raise funds but also reach out to a wider audience and make a significant impact on society. So, if you are part of a nonprofit organization, it's time to explore the world of mobile apps and unlock its full potential!

here's a list of mozilla add-ons for all of you tumblrinas out there to have a better internet experience
also, if you like my post, please reblog it. Tumblr hates links but i had to put them so you adhd bitches actually download them <3 i know because i am also adhd bitches
BASIC STUFF:
AdGuard AdBlocker / uBlock Origin : adguard is a basic adblock and with origin you can also block any other element you want. for example i got rid of the shop menu on tumblr
Privacy Badger : this add on will block trackers. if an element contains a tracker it will give you the option to use it or not
Shinigami Eyes: this will highlight transphobic and trans friendly users and sites using different colors by using a moderated database. perfect to avoid terfs on any social media. i will explain how to use this and other add-ons on android as well under the read more cut
THINGS YOU TUMBLINAS WANT:
Xkit: the best tumblr related add on. with many customizable options, xkit not only enhances your experience from a visual standpoint, but provides some much needed accessibility tools
bonus: if you are into tf2 and wanna be a cool cat, you can also get the old version to add cool reblog icons
AO3 enhancer: some basic enhancements including reading time and the ability to block authors and tags
YOUTUBE
Return of the YouTube Dislike : pretty self explanatory
Youtube non-stop: gets rid of the annoying "Video paused. Continue watching?" popup when you have a video in the background
SponsorBlock: gives you options to skip either automatically or manually sponsors, videoclip non music sectors and discloses other type of sponsorships/paid partnerships
Enhancer for YouTube: adds some useful options such as custom play speed, let's you play videos in a window and most important of all, it allows you to make the youtube interface as ugly as your heart desires. I can't show a full image of what it looks like because i've been told its eye strainy and i want this post to be accessible but look at this <3
PocketTube: allows you to organize your subscriptions into groups
YouTube Comment Search: what it says
FINDING STUFF
WayBack Machine: you probably know about this site and definitely should get the add on. this allows you to save pages and access older versions with the click of a button. while you can search wayback using web archives, please get this one as well as it allows you to easily save pages and contribute to the archive.
Web Archives: it allows you to search through multiple archives and search engines including WayBack Machine, Google, Yandex and more.
Search by Image: allows you to reverse image search using multiple search engines (in my experience yandex tends to yield the best results)
Image Search Options: similar to the last one
this next section is pretty niche but... STEAM AND STEAM TRADING
SteamDB: adds some interesting and useful statistics
Augmented Steam: useful info specially for browsing and buying games
TF2 Trade Helper: an absolute godsend, lets you add items in bundles, keeps track of your keys and metal and your recent trades, displays links to the backpack tf page next to users profiles and more. look it tells me how much moneys i have and adds metal to trades without clicking one by one oh may god
IN CONCLUSION: oooooh you want to change to firefox so badly, you want to delete chrome and all the chrome clones that are actually just spyware and use firefox
HOW TO USE MOZILLA ADD-ONS ON YOUR PHONE
if you already use firefox on android, you'll know there are certain add-ons compatible with the app, some of them even being made just for the mobile version such as Video Background Play FIx. while most of them are pretty useful, some more specific ones aren't available on this version of the browser, but there's a way of getting some of them to work
you need to download the firefox nightly app, which is basically the same as the regular firefox browser but with the ability of activating developer mode. you can find how to do that here. once you've enabled it, you need to create a collection with all the add ons you want. i wouldn't recommend adding extensions if the creators haven't talked about phone compatibility, but XKit and Shinigami Eyes should work
also, don't tell the government this secret skater move, but you can try using both the regular firefox browser and nightly so you can have youtube videos in a floating box while you browse social media.
see? i can block this terf while Rick Rolling the people following this tutorial. isn't that tubular?
#zezo talks#firefox#internet safety#accessibility#id in alt text#this will get tagged as tf2 because mine heart desires and its mentioned like twice#tf2#long post#but it's worth it i promise#tumblr

So here's the deal:
I just want to be transparent with my tumblr Rothko lovers. I applied and got fiscal sponsorship as a non-profit through Fractured Atlas.
Sadly, "Fiscal Sponsorship" is not what it sounds like, I pay them, they don't pay me. What it allows me to do is take donations and make them tax deductible and secure. I hope it's worth it.
I don't expect my poor pals on tumblr to donate, I don't think most of us have any money or we probably wouldn't be here, however, I am letting you know this because there's now a donate button on the blog.
I'm very poor and needed to do this to realize certain projects Rothko related projects. This is just a voluntary thing, i'm not going behind a paywall. Nothing is changing.
I mention this because their tacky donate button makes it look like I made a deal with the devil, but in actuality it's just for everyone's security.
I hate doing this at all but I am spread very thin. I spend a lot of time and money on this project and that's fine when i can do it, it's a labor of love. But some of it is just becoming impossible for me to maintain and so it goes.
Future projects include-
-I am writing a series of (three) articles I would like to publish about Rothko's impact in the modern world. Scholarly material on Rothko from art historians is good and I don't wish to retread old ground. However, there are some sides of the Rothko legacy I would like to cover based on my experiences, including interviews I have done with people on how they have come to the work (some of you guys), coverage of fakes and misattributions, and biographical impressions based on numerous interviews I have read with his family and friends.
-A bigger and ongoing project would be to create a website and central database that art enthusiasts can use to locate travelling Rothko exhibits and find which paintings are in which museums. Many people ask me these questions personally but if there was a place where all this information lived and someone to update it, people could look up available Rothko works in different cities they are travelling to.
We are living in a troubled world with many humanitarian concerns that should rightly take precedence over my little project, but I am trying to survive myself and lately it's pretty hard.
Thanks to all for 9 years of Rothko love.
(I realized no one can donate on the mobile app, so if you wish to, use this link below.)

can you tell us all the plugins / ad blockers you use
on desktop, uBlock Origin (NOT Adblock Plus! they sold out years ago! they literally take money from advertisers to make sure their ads get through their filters!) and SponsorBlock for Firefox. if you still see ads on youtube specifically check out this page. if it's green, then the problem is with your specific installation and you should check out this reddit megathread. if it's red, then tough luck, wait a few hours for uBlock's crack team of hackers to catch back up in their constant arms race with Youtube.
for Android, get ReVanced Manager from here and use that + an .apk download of the latest Youtube release (just google "youtube apk") to patch yourself together a version of the Youtube app that acts like you paid for Advanced even though you didn't, which means no ads. also, side tangent, that's where the name comes from: originally it was just "Youtube Vanced" because it was "Advanced" without the "ad"s. then the Vanced team got slapped with a C&D for being dumbasses and minting NFTs of the Vanced logo, which was literally just the Youtube logo, so ReVanced rose from the ashes to continue its legacy. oh also there are a shitload of boxes you can check off during the patching process and one of them just integrates Sponsorblock for you, so that's nice.
i should also mention here, for no reason in particular, that the Vanced Manager app lets you patch a number of other apps in the same way, removing ads and adding "premium" features without you having to pay. one of these apps may or may not be Tumblr itself.
as long as you're fucking with your Android, download xManager and use it to get ad-free Spotify without paying for it. iirc the app auto-downloads the apk for you but it's been months since i last fucked with it so i might be misremembering.
honorary mention goes to NewPipe for being a way easier to install alternative to all of the above if you don't care about logging in. it's an alternate frontend for youtube that lets you watch it ad-free right out of the box. the main drawbacks are that the UI is a little ugly (especially compared to the official/ReVanced version), you can't use Sponsorblock, and it doesn't sync with your Google account (this could be a plus for you if you're big into privacy but personally i like having my likes and watch history synced across desktop and mobile). although now that i just did some research to make sure i wasn't talking out my ass, it looks like the original dev is working on a forked version of the app named Tubular that does have Sponsorblock and is apparently trying to get google account stuff working, so that's cool. oh and it can also browse/play Soundcloud ad-free, if you still use Soundcloud in 2024

HEY WENDY! I hope you are doing good. I have with me this very✨interesting✨request. I hope you haven’t done one like this before. It’s more headcanons for bonten members reacting to mikey testing their loyalty. How would they react to Mikey asking them if they would let him sleep with their wife (reader). They are very loyal members to bonten/mikey but could this be too much for them??! You don’t have to do with all members . I’m more curious to know with with haru, kakucho , rindou and ran (separately pls) thank you 😊
I love this idea! Thanks for stopping by, love. Happy to hand this one over
Hand Her Over: Bonten Era Sanzu Haruchiyo/Kakucho Hitto/ Rindou Haitani/Ran Haitani x Fem!Reader
wc: 1k
tw: dub-con?
masterlist (take a look here if you're having a hard time navigating the masterlist via mobile app)
Hand Her Over Megapost
All of this begins with a simple request: "Your wife. Let me sleep with her."
Sanzu Haruchiyo
Sanzu doesn't hesitate.
"It's just one night," he murmurs into the phone, sitting across from Mikey and holding the device to his ear. "Do this for me, baby. For us."
Mikey looks up at his companion, feeling his cock harden with a sense of pride. His one turn-on, he explained to Sanzu, is you. You're a beautiful woman, everyone knew that. But not everyone would let him sleep with their wife. So maybe Mikey got lucky you were Sanzu's wife and not someone else's.
Sanzu stands up to argue with you, trying to coerce you into this one thing, this one favor, this one simple task, and you'd be rewarded handsomely!
"What do you want in exchange?" Sanzu wonders, leaning a hand on the wall. Mikey eyes his friend with curiosity, noting the beads of sweat forming on his face. "You want a new car? Alright. Done." Another pause. "And a bigger shopping allowance. I'll do that." You both seem to come to some kind of concession, and Sanzu hangs up, smiling widely.
"She'll be here in thirty."
Mikey leans back in his chair and looks up at his closest friend. "I want you to watch," he adds dreamily. Sanzu blanches but then comes to a sputtering start.
"A-a-anything for you, Mikey. I'll do anything for you." The smirk that crawls across Mikey's face is fully devious. Sanzu smiles back at him, deriving a deep sense of satisfaction from finally making his boss smile.
Ran Haitani
"No. Hell, no."
The usually cool-headed Haitani is shaking his head over and over. Mikey stands before him with an empty look, the kind where Ran knows he's devising a way to get what he wants.
"You can have anyone else." Sanzu leans on the door, crossing his arms as he watches one of his co-workers deny the boss his wife.
"Why?" Mikey asks. Ran stalls for an answer, reclining in his chair and crossing his legs.
"She barely has the capabilities of pleasing me," Ran lies easily. "You'd be disappointed."
"Then why are you still married to her?"
Rindou speaks up, his presence unaccounted for until he exhales. "She's got money connections," Rindou admits. "And a damn good set of lawyers that have kept us out of prison."
"But you don't love her." Ran's eye twitches. "You sleep around on her, don't you?" Mikey's trying to wind his way through his case for keeping this one thing to himself. And it irritates Ran to no end.
"I may have a mistress," he huffs. "But my wife is my wife."
"Would be a shame if she found out, huh, Sanzu?" Mikey turns away from Ran and proceeds out of the room, placing his hands in his pockets. When he and Sanzu leaves, Ran slumps against his desk.
"You haven't slept around on her, have you?" Rindou asks, and Ran lifts his head wearily.
"No," he murmurs softly. "I love her too much to do any of that."
Kakucho Hitto
Kakucho's hidden the fact that he has a wife and a child on the way from the boys for many years. So why would Mikey - of all of the men, he expected one of the Haitanis or even Takeomi - ask him to sleep with his wife?
Kakucho and Mikey stare at each other for a long while, measuring each other up, perhaps.
"Mikey." Kakucho folds his hands together, trying to be diplomatic. "I can't let you do that." Mikey eyes him, attempting to perhaps stare him into submission, but Kakucho doesn't back down.
"I'll tell everyone what you're hiding." Kakucho swallows hard. "And then, I'll let them decide what to do."
"You're turning out to be so cold," Kakucho whispers. "Is it because I have a family and you don't?" The slap he receives, in turn, isn't unexpected, but it does hurt.
Mikey doesn't make any other moves except to step back and drop his hand. "I could make it so both of us are alone." Kakucho breaks out in a sweat and feels his heart begin to race.
"Please, no. She's pregnant, I--"
"One night is all I'm asking."
Kakucho wants to rebuff him, wants to put his hands on Mikey and tell him no with all of the force in his body, but he knows one word might doom his entire family.
"One night," he relents softly, lowering his gaze. "If she says yes, then you get one night."
"She will," Mikey hums, smiling. "When I tell her what's on the line if she doesn't... she will."
Rindou Haitani
"She's going to say no, Mikey." Rindou shrugs, lazily poking at his gums with a toothpick. "She barely says yes to me."
"And?" Mikey's sprawled across the couch, hands behind his head. "I can be persuasive."
"You're not even her type."
"Are you?" Rindou's vision blurs, but then he laughs, shaking his head.
"Call her up, then. See what she says." The phone rings for a while until Rin's wife finally picks up.
"Hey." Your voice is curt, and Rindou wonders if he's caught you at a bad time.
"Hey. Mikey has a request."
"What?"
"He wants you to sleep with him." There's a very long pause, and then a loud laugh echoes on the other end.
"What kind of fantasies swirl around in your head when you're at work, Rindou?" He huffs a breath, then looks at Mikey apologetically. "Tell Mikey if he can come up with a gold mine, then I'll agree." Mikey's off the couch in a flash, no doubt hurrying off to Sanzu so he can find a gold mine and give the rights to you.
Rindou takes the phone off speaker and then whispers, "You'd really do it?"
"Fuck no," you reply just as quickly. "I'm in Oaxaca. Now get off the phone. I'm trying to finish my massage and you're making my muscles tense."
"I could make them looser if you'll let me," Rindou teases, smirking.
"I'd rather eat a live stingray," you grumble, then hang up on him. Ah well, Rindou muses. Such a pain having a trophy wife who is only a trophy.

I'm a big fan of extensive reading apps for language learning, and even collaborated on such an app some 10 years ago. It eventually had to be shut down, sadly enough.
Right now, the biggest one in the market is the paywalled LingQ, which is pretty good, but well, requires money.
There's also the OG programs, LWT (Learning With Texts) and FLTR (Foreign Language Text Reader), which are so cumbersome to set up and use that I'm not going to bother with them.
I presently use Vocab Tracker as my daily driver, but I took a spin around GitHub to see what fresh new stuff is being developed. Here's an overview of what I found, as well as VT itself.
(There were a few more, like Aprelendo and TextLingo, which did not have end-user-friendly installations, so I'm not counting them).
Vocab Tracker
++ Available on web ++ 1-5 word-marking hotkeys and instant meanings makes using it a breeze ++ Supports websites
-- Default meaning/translation is not always reliable -- No custom languages -- Ugliest interface by far -- Does not always recognise user-selected phrases -- Virtually unusable on mobile -- Most likely no longer maintained/developed
Lute
++ Supports virtually all languages (custom language support), including Hindi and Sanskrit ++ Per-language, customisable dictionary settings ++ Excellent, customisable hotkey support
-- No instant meaning look-up makes it cumbersome to use, as you have to load an external dictionary for each word -- Docker installation
LinguaCafe
++ Instant meanings thanks to pre-loaded dictionaries ++ Supports ebooks, YouTube, subtitles, and websites ++ Customisable fonts ++ Best interface of the bunch
== Has 7 word learning levels, which may be too many for some
-- Hotkeys are not customisable (yet) and existing ones are a bit cumbersome (0 for known, for eg.) -- No online dictionary look-up other than DeepL, which requires an API key (not an intuitive process) -- No custom languages -- Supports a maximum of 15,000 characters per "chapter", making organising longer texts cumbersome -- Docker installation
Dzelda
++ Supports pdf and epub ++ Available on web
-- Requires confirming meaning for each word to mark that word, making it less efficient to read through -- No custom languages, supports only some Latin-script languages -- No user-customisable dictionaries (has a Google Form to suggest more dictionaries)

Dreamwidth and privacy, Dreamwidth and apps
I got an ask about Dreamwidth that has since completely vanished from my inbox and my activity feed, but it had some important questions that I wanted to answer, so I'm going to try and address them anyway:
"How's Dreamwidth on privacy? Do they data mine?"
They only take as much information as they are legally obligated to and/or is needed to make the site actually function. You are the only one who gets to decide how much of that you share with the public, or how little.
Dreamwidth makes the money it needs to run the site entirely through its userbase. They do not sell our data and do not want to.
"Do they have a mobile app too?"
No, and they probably never will. I know this is a disappointment for a lot of Tumblr users, but it's one of the primary ways that Dreamwidth can ensure that it's free to use for all users, and that we can post as much NSFW stuff there as we want.
That said, the Dreamwidth team has done everything they can to make the site friendly to mobile browsing! IIRC there are even some layouts that are particularly friendly to mobile browsing. Install Firefox/Mozilla on your phone, or a clone of it you particularly like, and log in through that, and you should be able to use the site just as well as you could from a desktop computer.

Assistant
tony stark x assistant!reader
feat. best friend bruce banner
~ wherein your tony's new assistant and you were doing well, until you made a series of mistakes.
~ masterlist ~
!! warnings !!
• yelling, arguing
• tony is an ass for most of it
• reader has family issues
you knew he would be furious. your heart raced as you all but sprinted through the avengers tower up to his office, hearing jarvis alert tony that you had finally arrived your heart sank to the bottom of your chest. you were still new thus this could be detrimental to your position here. you knocked on tony's door, only entering once hearing him give the all clear.
"y/l/n, you're late. care to explain?" his voice was rough, annoyance seeping into his every word.
"i-i'm so sorry mr. stark, i had a personal matter.. it won't happen again.." your head stayed glued to the floor, afraid to see the look on your bosses face.
"of course it won't, because if it does you're finished. understood?" he spoke sharply, making you flinch.
"y-yes sir.. i understand sir.." you bit your lip, the threat of losing your job lay heavy on your psyche on top of your personal matters. you had gotten into a nasty fight with your parents before going to work this morning which is why you were late. they called you for the first time in several months just to ask for money again. you finally lost it, cutting contact with them once and for all. even though you loved them, it was clear they were trying to use you and you weren't having it. you were taken out of your thoughts by tony snapping his fingers.
"i need a coffee. go get me one y/l/n. and, be quick this time." he all but spat and you nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat. you made your way out of his office and down to the ground floor of the avengers tower. you got into your car and opened the app to tony's favourite coffee place. you placed a mobile order so it would be ready when you got there as to not waste any time. you needed to make up your mistake. you picked up his coffee, driving back to the tower with a hand holding it steady in your cup holder. you made your way back up to his office, knocking on his door. when he didn't answer you decided to ask jarvis where he was.
"hey jarvis? where's mr. stark?" you asked softly, still anxious about seeing him after your encounter earlier.
"he's in the lab, [insert your preferred title ] y/l/n." jarvis answered and you thanked him before making your way down to the lab, coffee in hand. as you were about to enter, your best friend bruce banner came out. he couldn't help the smile forming on his face when he saw you.
"y/n!! hi!!" his warm voice was so comforting to you in that moment, you almost wanted to melt into his arms and tell him everything.
"hey bruce!!" you smiled as you wrapped your free arm around him, pulling him in.
"wow, it is so good to see you right now" you rubbed your neck after pulling away, being careful not to spill tony's coffee.
"what's up?" he asked, slight worry in his tone. tony sure didn't notice your puffy eyes from crying but nothing could get past your best friend. you had to fight breaking down right then and there, remembering you had a task to do.
"i- oh gosh i'm sorry bruce, i can't talk right now... i have to get back to work. but i promise we'll catch up later okay?" you panicked a bit, knowing tony was probably waiting by now, and certainly displeased.
"alright, i'll see you later y/n" he smiled before walking off. you sucked in a breath as you entered the lab, your eyes scanning the room for tony. once you saw him you made your way over, coffee still in hand- until it wasn't. you had tripped over some wires laying on the floor and spilled his coffee all over him and the computer he was working at. your heart shattered, you knew you were toast. you stood up shakily, biting your lip as you went to grab a towel. you rushed back over to tony, him ripping the towel from your hands.
"s-sir i'm so sorry..." you started, wincing as he stared daggers at you.
"how incompetent are you, huh?! you just had to ruin everything didn't you?! you fucking idiot! you are just worthless!!" he yelled at you, causing you to shrink in on yourself. he stood up abruptly, shoving you out of his way leading you to land on the ground with a thud. your fought a pained scream as pain took over your left arm, wincing as you moved to stand up again.
"get the hell out. don't even think about coming back, you're finished." he spat, exiting the lab not without slamming the door behind him. a sob tore through your body as you fell back onto the ground, careful not to hurt your arm even more. your mind was racing with thoughts, blaming yourself, insecurity, the works. you were so lost in your thoughts you didn't notice bruce had entered the room.
"y/n..?" he rested a hand on your shoulder as he crouched in front of you, frowning when you flinched.
"b-bruce-" you choked out, sobbing when he pulled you into his arms. he picked you up and carried you to the medical bay, sitting you down on the bed. he knew you were hurt as he noticed you clutching your horribly bruised left arm.
"what happened, love?" he asked softly, not leaving your side. he took your hand in his, rubbing circles on your palm, an action he would always do to calm you down.
"mr. stark... he... i-i messed up... i spilled coffee on him a-and.. he pushed me... landed on my arm..." you breathed deeply, trying to calm yourself down.
"h-he fired me bruce... he said don't think about coming back ever..." you explained, tears filling your eyes once again. you just lost your relationship with your parents and now your job.
"love... that's so uncalled for, i'm sorry.. i'm going to have a word with-" you shook your head.
"p-please don't... it's fine..." you whimpered, not wanting to cause any drama or trouble. bruce frowned before nodding. he noticed you fighting a yawn and helped you lay down on the bed, sitting with you until you fell asleep. once he knew you were fully asleep he left quietly- not before doing what he needed to fix you up- refusing to let tony get away with his behaviour.
bruce pov ;
i barged into tony's office, not caring that i had just interrupted him and steve.
"what the hell banner, can't you see we're busy here??" he spoke sharply but i couldn't care less. he had just hurt my best friend. i took a second to calm myself as i could feel the other guy starting to come out.
"i don't care. why the hell did you break y/n's arm??? they are heartbroken thinking they just lost their job. what the fuck do you think you're doing???" i asked, livid that he had even put his hands on them.
"what the hell- you broke their arm?? what even happened??" steve was now staring at tony who rolled his eyes.
"they ruined the lab computer! and my damn suit. spilled my fucking coffee all over it. fucking incompetent-" a deep growl escaped my throat, interrupting him. i could feel the other guy threatening to take over, and the only reason he didn't is because steve brought me back to reality.
"you know who you remind me of right now, stark? you remind me of your father." i snarled, seeing his expression change instantly. he looked down at his lap, realization hitting him like a ton of bricks. he stood up abrubtly, catching both of us off guard.
"where are you going?" i asked as he got up and headed towards the door.
"i... need to make this right." he looked at me with remorse in his eyes. i sighed, rubbing my temples.
"yeah. you do. their favourite flowers are [your favourite flower]."
"thank you. i'll be right back, jarvis tell pepper she's in charge while i'm away."
you woke up later that evening, moving to sit up, noticing your arm in a sling. you looked around the room for bruce, not seeing anyone you frowned. but you did notice your favourite flowers on the table beside the bed. your eyebrow twitched, wondering if bruce had gotten them for you. it wasn't long before tony made his way into the room, you flinched when you saw him.
"sir... i'm sorry- i meant to leave-" you paused, noticing he wasn't angry.
"no, y/n you don't have to apologize. actually i'm here to apologize to you." he frowned as he saw your arm in a sling. he took the chair in the corner of the room and moved it to sit next to you.
"i am truly, deeply sorry y/n. i was a complete asshole- i have no excuse. you didn't deserve this at all. i would be delighted to have you around if you would like to keep your position here, and i promise to do better." your eyes widened at the revelation he still wanted to keep you hired.
"i would love to stay, mr. stark.. and i accept your apology. i just... need some time away.. i was late and distracted today because.." you trailed off, unsure if you wanted to tell him about your parents.
"if you don't want to tell me that is perfectly fine. i won't force you to tell me." he spoke softly, sincerety in his eyes. looking into them, you felt a sense of security you hadn't before. like you were safe with him.
"i.. had to cut off my parents this morning.. they hadn't spoken to me in months before now, and just called to ask for money.. i.. i loved them. but it was clear they thought nothing more of me than a moneygrab. so i blocked them. told them never to call again." your eyes watered, remembering the whole exchange vividly.
"oh... i'm so sorry y/n.. i know what it's like to have a rough relationship with family. feel free to take as much time away as you need- with vacation pay of course." his eyes showed bitterness at the remembrance of his father and the fact he was cold and unloving to him all the time. he smiled at you, before pointing to the flowers on the table.
"i got you these by the way, bruce said they were your favourite."
"you got them for me..? i thought bruce did... well thank you- he's right they are my favourite. did he.. talk to you?" you asked slowly, a smile coming to your face as you admired the flowers and thought about how bruce was such a good friend to you.
"i was afraid he'd let out the big guy and beat me up. he and steve really talked some sense into me." he chuckled softly. you giggled, shaking your head. bruce had always been protective of you like that.
"well, i have to get home for the night, but remember you have my full permission to take some time off to heal- in fact you have my encouragement to do so." he took your hand in his, looking into your eyes.
"thank you, for forgiving me. you've done very well here and i was afraid i'd gone too far to get you back." he admitted, sheepishly rubbing his neck with his free hand.
"what matters is you're working on making it better now. that's what's important to me. as well as this job, i'm very glad you aren't firing me, i need this job" you laughed softly.
"anyways, goodnight mr. stark." you smiled.
"goodnight, y/n."

10 ways to look good on a budget 💸
before we begin. I just wanna thank y’all for 650 followers 🤍🤍 love y’all so much
Shop at thrift stores and yard sales: Thrift stores offer a wide range of clothes, accessories and even furniture at reduced prices. While you may not always find brand-new items, there is typically a good selection of high-quality items at great prices. Many thrift stores also offer regular discounts or sale days, so it pays to check back frequently for new items and deals. Yard sales are another great place to find bargain items. While they're typically seasonal and require more effort in digging through piles of items, yard sales often offer the most affordable prices.
Wear what you have: The majority of our wardrobes are full of items we rarely wear or have only worn once or twice. Instead of buying new, look through your closet and see what you already have that you may not have worn in a while. Consider creating new outfits with the items you already have, mixing and matching to create a new style. This not only saves money, it reduces waste and helps you make the most of what you already have.
Buy timeless staples: Building a wardrobe of high-quality, versatile items can help you look good on a budget. Look for classic, simple pieces like a white t-shirt, a well-cut pair of jeans, or a classic black dress. Investing in quality items that will last will save you money in the long run, as you'll be wearing them for years to come.
Take care of your clothes: How you treat your clothes can determine how long they last. Always follow the care instructions on the label, and don't be afraid to hand-wash items if necessary. You can help reduce any damage by investing in a good de-piller, and avoiding the dryer whenever possible.
Accessorize: Accessories can elevate any outfit, transforming what was once a simple look into a stylish one. Look for pieces you can mix and match, like a neutral handbag or a set of simple gold studs. Accessories are a great way to add interest to an outfit without breaking the bank.
Shop sales and clearance racks: The end of season sales can be a great way to find bargain items. Look for items that are on sale or marked down, especially at the end of a season when stores are trying to make room for new merchandise. Look in the bargain bins as well. You never know what gem you may find hiding in plain sight.
Join loyalty programs or use coupons: Loyalty programs are a great way to get discounts and earn rewards for your purchases. Look for loyalty programs in your favorite stores, and take advantage of any special offers. Many stores also offer mobile apps with digital coupons, which can save you money on specific items.
Shop for beauty products in drugstores: Drugstores often carry popular beauty brands at more affordable prices compared to department stores or high-end makeup counters. Look for affordable skincare and hair products that cater to your specific needs, and don't be afraid to ask for recommendations from the staff.
Be confident: The most important thing is to always have confidence in yourself. Standing tall, taking care of your appearance, and being proud of who you are can enhance your beauty and make you look your best, even if you're wearing budget-friendly clothes. Take pride in who you are, and don't let others' expectations bring you down.
Have fun with fashion: Fashion should be fun, not stress-inducing. Mix and match your clothes to create your own unique style, and don't be afraid to experiment with new outfits. Experimenting with different styles can help you find what works best for you, and make fashion more enjoyable as well.
Remember, looking good on a budget can be challenging, but it's all about being creative and making the most of what you already have. With these tips and a positive attitude, you'll be sure to look your best without breaking the bank.

Educate yourself: Before investing in the stock market, it's important to educate yourself about the basics of investing, including the different types of investments, the risks involved, and how to build a diversified portfolio. There are many resources available, including books, online courses, and investment blogs.
Determine your investment goals: It's important to have clear investment goals before investing in the stock market. Are you investing for retirement, a down payment on a house, or to generate passive income? Your investment goals will help determine the types of investments that are appropriate for you.
Open a brokerage account: To invest in the stock market, you'll need to open a brokerage account with a reputable brokerage firm. Some popular options include Fidelity, TD Ameritrade, and Charles Schwab. When choosing a brokerage firm, consider factors such as fees, investment options, and customer service.
Build a diversified portfolio: Diversification is key to successful investing. By investing in a mix of stocks, bonds, and other assets, you can reduce your risk and increase your chances of long-term success. Consider investing in a mix of large-cap and small-cap stocks, domestic and international investments, and bonds with varying maturities.
Start investing: Once you have a brokerage account and have determined your investment strategy, it's time to start investing. Consider starting with a small amount of money and gradually increasing your investments over time.

Options trading can be used to generate income, hedge against risk, or speculate on market movements.
Swing trading is a type of trading strategy that aims to capture short- to medium-term gains in a financial asset, such as stocks, currencies, or commodities.
