Akira: (A whole hour just flew by…)

The moderate tension eases as the public recording of the radio show hosted by Rustica finishes.

On this day, Figaro took me to visit the recording with him.

Figaro: With me?

Akira: Yes. We eat at cafes and restaurants in between work, and take photos at photogenic spots.

Akira: Figaro takes me to all kinds of places and tells me all kinds of stories, so I see, hear, and experience a lot...

Akira: It feels like he's helping me search for myself.

We organized our belongings, took a breather, and prepared tea.

Figaro: I'm glad I was able to buy the last set of these sweets. Now this one is really the cutting edge of fashion.

Akira: Thank you. I'll take a picture and look it up online.

Figaro: Haha, we've gained some really useless wisdom.

We both sit on the sofa, joking around.

Akira: Thank you for the wonderful opportunity today. I learned a lot today.

Chloe: I have a super special surprise for you guys today. I’m inviting two awesome friends on-stream as guests!

Chloe smiles and waves at the smartphone attached to his selfie stick.

The guests in question were me and Riquet who were taking part in his videos today.

Akira: (This is so nerve-wracking…!)

Chloe: Are you guys ready to meet them? Let’s get them over here! Riquet! Akira~!

Riquet: Good afternoon. I’m Riquet from Vollmond Production. It’s nice to be here today.

Akira: H- Hello. I’m Akira from the same company. It’s nice to be here too!

Chloe: And I’m glad to have you! Thanks so much for coming today

Chloe: Alright, now let’s get started! Today, we’re filming another episode of Chloe’s Fashion Corner!

Noticing how attentively we were listening, Chloe sheepishly scratched his cheek.

Riquet’s stomach growled, causing the three of us to look at each other. Then, Chloe laughed and pointed at something.

I looked at where Chloe was pointing and saw a gorgeous cafe with an open terrace framed with greenery.

Riquet: Wow, it’s so pretty!

Riquet: Look! There are so many desserts on the menu!

Akira: You’re right. They have cake, pudding, ice cream, and more! Everything looks delicious!

Akira: Why don’t we eat out on the terrace then?

Chloe & Riquet: Yeah!

Chloe: I’m also friends with the owner, so we have permission to film there too.

Chloe: Do guys wanna make a food vlog?

Riquet: Say less! Those kinds of videos are my specialty!

Chloe and I smiled seeing how Riquet’s eyes immediately lit up.

We sat down at the terrace and made our orders.

Riquet’s omelette was the first to arrive.

Akira: Okay, I’ll start the video in 3, 2, 1…

Riquet: Look at this omelette everyone! It looks so warm and delicious!

Directing me with his eyes, Chloe nodded towards the omelette and I zoomed the camera focus onto the dish.

Akira: (The video might blur if I zoom in anymore. This is a lot trickier than I expected…)

Riquet: Alright, it’s time to cut it open… Wow, look at all the steam pouring out.

Riquet: Oh!

Riquet squeaked in surprise. When I looked closer, I could see there was a mushroom saute inside the omelette.

Riquet: Umm, why don’t we try a bite? Here we go!

Riquet: Mm, the egg is so fluffy and the mushrooms’ fragrance really leaves an impression… The combination is so flavorful!

Riquet: The sauce has a nice, creamy texture as well…

Akira: (Huh, Riquet seems a little stiffer than usual…)

After finishing his omelette, Riquet politely put his hands together.

Riquet: That was a wonderful meal!

Chloe: Awesome job! We can cut the camera now.

Riquet: But just to be sure, could you give me an example?

Chloe: You got it! Lemme film next.

Chloe: Can you handle the camera work again, Akira?

Akira: Of course!

Chloe took out a mirror and checked his appearance before cueing me to start the camera.

Chloe: Okay! Let’s go!

I counted down from 3 again and started the video.

Chloe’s eyes immediately began to sparkle and his entire aura changed.

Chloe: Heyyy, everyone! Check out this awesome waffle!

Chloe: It’s so thick and fluffy, and just look at that wibbly-wobbly mountain of cream!

Chloe wiggled his plate and poked at the waffle to show off its texture.

Riquet & Akira: Yummy…

Chloe: I won’t keep you guys waiting for too long though! Let’s cut into this waffle, get some berries and cream on it, and… Nom.

From the side, Chloe looked like a squirrel stuffing his cheeks with food.

Chloe: Mmm~~!

Chloe: The sweetness of the waffle and cream is perfectly balanced by the tartness of the berries! It’s so~ delicious!

Then, with a big smile on his face, Chloe began to look around the area. I followed his gaze with the smartphone, showing everyone our surroundings.

Chloe: I absolutely love this cafe too! The open terrace seating is truly the cherry on top and—

Chloe: Whew…

As we finished the video and wrapped up the recording, Chloe placed his hand on his chest and sighed.

Chloe: What did you guys think?

Riquet: That was amazing! I wish I got a waffle now too.

Akira: You were great Chloe! You managed to sell me on the waffle and the cafe experience.

Chloe: Wow, really? Yippee!

Chloe: I was totally thinking to myself like “OMG this is so~ much fun! A total 5-star experience!” which means I gotta channel the power of a 10-star review to get the feeling across to my viewers.

Chloe: If I can convey all that, then I consider my mission a success.

Riquet: Watching you made me want to show even more of my feelings to the audience next time I stream.

Riquet: Could you help me? I’d love it if we could collab on a video again.

Chloe: Absolutely! I can check with the agency and set something up!

Riquet: Yay!

With a huge grin on his face, Chloe wrapped his arms around Riquet’s shoulders and pulled him in for a tight hug.

Chloe: I’m looking forward to it!

Riquet: Me too!

Akira: (Ah…)

Seeing the two of them laugh with their faces side by side, I found myself compelled to snap a picture to save the moment.

Chloe: Akira?

Akira: Whoops, you caught me. The two of you were just so cute that it suddenly gave me the feeling that everything in the world would be just fine…

Chloe: Ahaha! Being in the know is an important part of going viral too!

Chloe: Hey, we can't forget to get you trending!

Akira: Right!

As the three of us giggled, my order finally arrived.

We started to film again with Chloe and Riquet giving me lots of tips and advice for my video.
