Three months after Tommy kissed him passed so fast, but Buck enjoyed every second of it. Every date, kiss, hug, sex. Every text till the next opportunity to meet again between their shifts. Tommy makes him feel happy, giddy, smitten and, most importantly, wanted. He isn’t the one chasing so hard he forgets about himself this time, or the passive one, letting relationships just come to him, not trying to do much. No, now he takes as much as he gets. Of course, during their first three weeks Tommy was the one who was making most of the moves. He would set the dates, time and date, just asking Buck if he wanted to have another date and then tell him when and where it would be. Tommy was the one buying him flowers, initiating kisses or any form, even not sexual intimacy - always making sure Buck was ok with everything, never rushing him to do something Buck didn’t want to. And it made Buck feel safe. Soon he was the one to lean and kiss the man, or hug, or put his hand on Tommy’s tight, while the man would drive him to the next date’s destination, any time he wanted. Or Buck and Tommy enjoy their relationships, fall in love and go to Madney wedding together

I've been thinking about Madney's wedding and I just can't stop imagining Buck and Eddie as Mónica and Chandler from friends. Just hear me out, I know the Buckley parents are trying their best but what if they still let out remarks like 'this will be the only wedding we're attending' or 'we're so happy to see Maddie get happily married, this might be the one for a LONG time'

And Buck knows that he shouldn't pay attention to their parents remarks but he also agrees with what they are saying. It has been weeks since Natalia and he broke up and he's almost as lost as he was after the lightning strike. He still tries his best to not let his parent's remarks get to him and fully enjoy his sister's wedding. He's not sure how much he succeeded though. Now imagine,

Eddie: So you're not upset about what your parents said, right?

Buck: Wouldn't you be? I mean they weren't exactly wrong.

Eddie: Hey, I know it's a very emotional time for you and you've had a lot of drinks but you need to let that go. I mean you were the most beautiful man in the room tonight.

Buck: Really?

Eddie: Are you kidding? You're the most beautiful man in most rooms-

And then they kiss now also imagine the morning after where Chimney is excited and running in Eddie's room about how he's going to get married today and once he leaves, Buck's like 'Do you think he saw I was here?'

Now ofc there will be angst on how are oblivious idiots would be sure that this is just fwb for them yk a friend helping another friend and it takes a lot of miscommunication and finally communication to know that they really do love each other.

(I know I should stop with my ideas considering exams and my wips but I can't help it lol)

Maybe I can write this one for didn't know they were dating prompt of buddie week where Buck is clear this was a one time thing and Eddie is sure that ofc Buck knows that I like him so much.

Cameraperson: So how does it feel to be married? Maddie: Not very different. I mean, we are already living together and have a daughter. We just did this for the tax and insurance benefits Cameraperson: Wait, what? Maddie: I am just kidding! *chuckles* Chimney: We definitely did it for the benefits. And I'm NOT kidding, or am I? *smirks at the camera* Mr. Lee: Congratulations, Maddie and Chimney. You two deserve the world! Mrs Lee: *tears up* I hope you have a wonderful life ahead with each other. And Chimney, Kevin would have been so proud of you. Just like I am. Hen: *drunk* MY BEST FRIEND GOT MARRIED! *waggles her eyebrows* HE'S GONNA GET SOME TONIGHT Karen: Baby, he was "getting some" anyway. They have a daughter Hen: Oh. Well, he's still gonna get some tonight. So happy for him! *tears up* So happy! Albert: Don't know about them, but I'm DEFINITELY getting some tonight. Catch my drift? Cameraperson: No, not really Phillip and Margaret Buckley: *camera moves on from them* Phillip: Wait, wait, wait, aren't you going to interview us? Except…

Except Buck is stuck in a funk. He did a good job of not making the Madney Wedding Disaster about him. Even when he felt like it was entirely his fault. If he just hadn’t been so preoccupied with the party maybe he would have noticed something. If he just hadn’t gotten drunk maybe he would have noticed something… if he just hadn’t made it about him… maybe he would have noticed something…

And he had kept all those thoughts at bay for the entirety of the search for Chimney. He kept them at bay the entirety of the hospital wedding. He even kept them at bay when they began getting louder because he had really gone and walked in covered in soot and outed himself during the hospital reception.

But eventually time passed and they got quieter and quieter and he didn’t have to push them away anymore… they just stayed in there place, always there but not actively making their presence known…

… until now.

Now he’s engaged. Now he’s planning a wedding. Now he’s getting his happily ever after… And he should be happy. Hell he should be ecstatic! He is marrying the most amazing person in the whole entire world… his other half… his best friend (ok one of his best friends 😅🙄) and yet all he can think about is how he doesn’t deserve this.

It’s not that he thinks he doesn’t deserve to get married… between therapy and the constant persistence of his loved ones he has finally accepted he does deserves happiness… he does deserves to be loved.

What he doesn’t deserve, however… is the wedding of his dreams… not when he is part of the reason Maddie didn’t get hers.

As someone who is a multi-shipper and ships both Buddie and Tevan, I am sad that the karaoke scene was cut, especially after Oliver hyped it up and all the Buddie goodness that would have with it. But I understand why it had to be cut, especially if it was to keep the focus on Madney and the wedding.

That being said, with Lou not coming back till 7x09, we better get another Tevan kiss tonight (preferably one instigated by Buck) and also get the scene of Maddie meeting Lou after everything is over and he possibly saves Chimney (I would love for her to give him a hug to thank him for saving her husband, then whisper a shovel talk into his ear about what would happen to him if he ever breaks her brother’s heart).

911 writers wanted to have their cake and eat it too, trying to fit a Hangover-style plot into a single episode dedicated to the Madney wedding. And frankly after everything Madney has been through, I would’ve preferred something stripped back, simple, focused on the couple and everything that’s gotten them to this day, surrounded by friends and family. I would’ve loved an episode centered on love finding a way, dedication paying off, with sweet parallels reflected in all the other relationships in the show, how Madney has influenced and been influenced by Henren, Bathena, and Buddie. I wish they hadn’t overcomplicated things to this degree, KNOWING there isn’t enough time, and I doubt tonight’s episode is going to have any kind of cohesion or emotional payoff. Like, I get it, it’s a cool concept, but if you don’t have time, then you should strip back your ideas until you have something that does fit 40 minute runtime, you don’t try to cram in a bunch of stuff just because Wow Cool. This feels tone-deaf, like when you ask a five year old to plan a romantic anniversary, and he goes ahead and orders 200 cupcakes, a magician, and a bouncy castle.

In general, I wish 911 would slow down and stop prioritizing spectacle over substance. As a thought exercise, the writers should do a bottle episode: one location, simple plot. Then they will be forced to focus once again on characters, on the simple things that make this show great, not all this glitz and glamour and high-octane, high-budget bullshit.

(And once, just ONCE the writers should be made to study and highlight the impact of previous episode decisions. I’m tired of lead characters damaging each other, making dumb and/or brilliant choices, and we never see an ounce of impact. I’m talking Chimney punching Buck, I’m talking Buck body-checking Eddie, any one of these characters dealing with a long-term pain from an injury, there are SO many examples. When there's no follow-up to moments like this, no closure, I stop caring. Clearly the writers don't care, it's all just plot glitter, so what's the point?)

Listen, for all I know, I’m whining for nothing and they’ve kicked it out of the park with this episode. But I’d be shocked if that’s the case, and more likely I’m afraid I’ll turn back to this post after the episode has aired and be like, “*sigh* Same old, same old.”

Like if we hadn't seen the wedding outfits, I wouldn't be freaking out, but Eddie looks ravished and so does Buck, albeit not as much, whatever happened with their suits, Buck got the brunt of it!

For Lokius I don't really have much written, but the premise is that Loki is prince and attends Thor and Jane's wedding and meets Mobius and his sons. Mishaps happen and they get in trouble and cause a national incident. To help make it go away, Loki and Mobius have to pretend that they're dating.

For Madney Speak Now AU, Maddie and Chimney are best friends and Maddie is in love with Chimney but Chimney is marrying Tatiana. Just like the song, she eventually stops the wedding. I posted this snippet last year, but I'm gonna post it again.

"You're oddly quiet tonight." Buck's words break her from her thoughts. "Like more than usual." 

Maddie tries to look unfazed. "I don't know what you're talking about."

Her baby brother leans forward. "Okay something's definitely wrong. I can see your bluff and you always have a great poker face. What's going on?"

She sighs. "Nothing's wrong…per say. Just going through some personal stuff."

He pauses for a second and starts to look a little awkward. "Like period stuff?"

Maddie snorts out a laugh. "No."  

"Okay well, either way you can tell me. You know that right?" He gives her his signature puppy dog eyes. 

"I know, Evan." She gives him a gentle smile. 

A small silence falls between them. 

She shouldn't bother her brother with this. It's just a silly crush – at least that's what she tries to tell herself – but it would be nice to tell someone and she trusts Buck more than anyone. So…

"I think I've fallen for someone."

Buck's eyes go wide. "Maddie, that's great!"

Maddie grabs a couch pillow and groans into it. "It's not great."

"Oh, because it's Chimney and he's engaged?"

Her head shoots up. "How'd you know?"

"Come on, Mads, it's kind of obvious. You guys do everything together. You do Buffifridays and eat each other’s food. You finish each other's sentences. You go everywhere together. You guys are practically dating."

"We're not dating because he's engaged."

"So you admit you would be dating if he wasn't?"

"That's not – we're just friends."

"Uh huh. Sure."

"Besides, you and Eddie do the same stuff and you're "just friends"."

Buck turns his head away. 

She knows that look. 

Maddie leans forward in her seat. "Unless…"

"This is not about me." He quickly interjects. "This is about you being in love with Chimney." 

"Evan." Maddie says softly.

Buck scratches his head. "It's - it's not…. He's married."

She nods and says gently, "I know."

"And he's officially trying with her again instead of secretly sleeping together for months."

"I know." She repeats. 

Buck lets out a long suffering sigh and leans his head against the couch. Maddie gets closer to him and lays her head on his shoulder. 

"Look at us. Both have feelings for taken men."

Buck hums. "I blame our parents."

Maddie cracks up laughing. 

After another silence Buck speaks up. "So are you going to tell him?"

"What? No! He's engaged."

Buck gives her a cheeky grin. "He's not married yet." 

"Yeah but he wants to marry her. He loves her. Telling him will just ruin our friendship and I can’t do that.”
