Legend of Zelda Shadow of Sun
I don’t know about you, I’m but I’ve always been a fan of the ship of Link x Malon, I think Link would be good with his farm girl gf (I also like the idea of him and Romani from Majora’s Mask)
I’ve seen a lot of comics about domestic family fluff with them and I had an idea
We always see a young, kid, or teenage link getting told it’s time to save the world. But what if we got a DILF link as the main character
A late twenties to early thirties Link is married to Malon and they live on their farm in Hyrule.
Malon, similar to Romani, is good with a bow in this story
Link went back in time after he stopped ganon in Oot and after completing Majora’s Mask he went back to Hyrule, and after a more peaceful 7 year cycle, married Malon
Some notable change in this timeline is that
The Sheikah have moved back into Kakariko village after hiding in the shadows for many years (I always wished there were more sheikah)
As the story starts, Link and Malon now have a infant daughter named Ester. She has light blond hair, freckles, and looks kind of like her dad, but with her mom’s eyes
The villain isn’t Ganon but a different evil. Some demon creature similar to Majora.
It’s this eltrich light demon that’s trying to suck the life from the 3 goddesses who made Hyrule in the name of Hylia “the true goddess”
By the end of the game The leader of the cult [second main villain](Alma) fuses with the ancient evil to become Shadow Hylia and they end up being the final boss
To get the story started some of his minions raid Lon Lon ranch and kidnap Ester because something bloodline something vessel. Link and Malon go on an adventure through new Hyrule to save Ester
Malon is Link’s sidekick this time with her bow and fills a role similar to Minda or Navi or Tatl
What do you think?
I love that idea! And maybe in the beginning, the monsters also took Malon away because she was holding or protecting Ester, and one of the minions knocked Link out so he couldn't do anything to save them. When he wakes up, he's in a panic and follows the trail of destruction that the monsters left behind. It's not too long before he finds Malon, who is slightly injured, with her bow, and she explains that the monsters took their Ester away.
What happens to Ester in the end? I figured that Alma would have used her to fuse with this demon and become the anti-Hylia who blots out the sun. It could also go a twisted route that in order to stop the fusion of Alma with the demon, Ester must be removed. In other words, sacrificed by an arrow fired from Malon's bow. Of course, she couldn't go through with killing her own child.
Just so I understand: is this light demon in allegiance to Hylia in some twisted way? Or are they against all the goddesses and act against them? You could also add a religious twist to this, in that Alma brands themself as a bishop of light, an arbiter of justice, and the savior of Hyrule. Kinda like the bishop of Gresit in Castlevania. Corrupted to the bone and twists fanatical religion to their favor. It's obvious in the beginning that Alma is hiding some dark secret. Yet, it's hard for the public to go against Alma because they do so much tangible good for the community and preach the virtues of the Goddess Hylia or of this light demon.
And since the Sheikah dwell in the shadows, let's say that Alma despises them for being "creatures of shadow", and when they fuse with this light demon, they'll purify the world of the Sheikah. The Sheikah's bloody past during the Hyrulean War is probably brought up as justification for making the Sheikah pay for their sins.
And I feel that Ruto would be heartbroken lol. Poor fish girl.

10 fandoms, 10 characters, 10 tags
rules: show us your ten favorite characters from ten fandoms and then tag ten people to do the same.
tagged by @manonisamelon and @grenadinepeach, ty! oh god how do i pick 10. i will do my best. pls forgive that 9/10 of this list is video games and anime. it’s my true self.
1. teen wolf - theo raeken ofc
Tumblr media
y’all already know!! there’s a reason my url is theowhy
2. haikyuu!! - tsukishima kei
Tumblr media
my moon boy. the character development that swept me off my feet in 2014 and still makes me swoon 7 years later. his dynamic with just about everyone is great but my favorites are kuroo, kageyama, and hinata :’)
3. hunter x hunter - gon freecss
Tumblr media
my sunshine child, killua’s light, a boy so overwrought with grief he gave up everything. a boy who learned to SMIIIILE AGAAAAIN. i’m crying
4. fire emblem: awakening - inigo
Tumblr media
dancer!inigo in particular owns my heart and soul....  i don’t usually like the “unabashed flirt” characters but i thought his backstory was actually really charming and his supports were so funny. gosh. i love him
5. the legend of zelda: breath of the wild - revali
Tumblr media
I DON’T CARE IF PPL HATE HIM I LOVE HIM he’s my birdfriend and my boyfriend. fun fact: i met his VA at a con who asked for a photo of me and my gf in cosplay, and then just dropped the fuckin bombshell that he was the VA for our fav character. what a guy
6. final fantasy xii - balthier
Tumblr media
i don’t think i’ll ever stop associating gideon emery with balthier in particular, even if i’ve seen him now in 92082348 different things. but i love balthier. my favorite depressed overdramatic gay sky pirate
7. final fantasy vii remake - biggs
Tumblr media
utterly embarrassing that gideon emery is on this list twice. listen, it’s hard for me to pick just one character, and truly cloud and yuffie are more my og favorites, but remake biggs went and stole my heart so wholly i can’t not mention him. i’ll admit part of it is i’m shallow lmao but also he pat cloud on the head and it restructured my brain. that is all
8. genshin impact - noelle
Tumblr media
ok i didn’t think i’d come to love noelle as much as i do—i’m not a fan of maid tropes and the boob armor is ridic, BUT. but. she is precious and i’d protect her with my life. her def and shield strength is ridic and she keeps my team unscathed thru everything bc she is amazing. psst if u play, hmu if you want to exchange UIDs :^)
9. kingdom hearts - naminé
Tumblr media
i honestly think of her and kairi and xion as a unit so i’m using a crop of my own fanart but—namine 🥺 for those unfamiliar, she’s the one in the middle. i love her so much and i wish there was so much more of her in kh3!! i was especially endeared to her in the chain of memories manga wahh
10. okay it has taken me ridiculously long to narrow down this list but, i have openly admitted that my recurring fav character type is “delinquent blonds with a heart of gold” so that list includes joey wheeler (yugioh), ryuji sakamoto (persona 5), and beat (the world ends with you). i’ll say this trope in particular is my #10 hahaha (and i’m too tired to find pics i’m sorry)
tysm if you managed to get through all this, my tastes are just... all over the place. and i tried to pick media that i’ve engaged with its fandom in some way, which made things even harder ahdlfkjg
not gonna tag 10 ppl because that’s so many and i’m sure most people have been tagged already, but by all means please do this if you want to! :’)

I hope you dont mind my asking, but wouldn't GF have decided to remove the national dex long before LGPE released? I can see those games selling well confirming to GF that "pokemon sell well regardless of cut features" but it feels strange to blame it on LGPE when the development time on the games would suggest they made this choice awhile ago. (Not to defend lgpe lack of content) Sorry if this is a bother, I just feel like I'm missing something and would really like to understand your reasoning
For almost any other game I would agree, however for Pokémon in particular:
The National Dex (insofar as the ability to transfer old pokémon over) was never going to be a Day One feature. It’s never a Day One feature in the first games of the generation. Even if they wanted to make it one, in this case they couldn’t because Home isn’t releasing until 2020. As I’ve said in other posts, if they wanted to patch in the NatDex, they’d have the time to do it. Technically speaking, they’d have the time to do it, especially since the fanbase would be willing to wait (even if there’d be a few whiners here or there) the extra time.
Since it’s not a Day One feature, it’s something that can be worked on later in the development cycle (/can even continue to be worked on after the development cycle, or at least it could be if this series were treated with the respect of, say, The Legend of Zelda series). Again, I’m not talking about DLC that’s already on the game card that needs to be activated later, I’m talking about DLC that’s patched in, content created after that you download either to the harddrive or (though I don’t know if Switch DLC works this way specifically) onto the game card itself. Given the type of content they generally want to show early in the release cycle (the general theme / concept of the games, scenes of the various areas in the region, new ‘mon), and the fact that this would be a feature added post-release anyway, we can make a safe bet that the NatDex is something they’d work on much later in the development cycle, possibly even in the last year since, again . . . they’d have that time if they wanted to use it (and if this series was treated with genuine respect).
The Let’s Go games were stated by Masuda to be the future of the franchise if they sold well. They featured a Pokédex that was limited to only the Kanto ‘Dex, plus Meltan and Melmetal. They released in November 2018, and indeed, they sold well. In early 2019 (February, IIRC) Sword & Shield were released. While of course I don’t work at Game Freak and thus can’t say for sure, I would place money on the idea that if they were even a bit on the fence about adding the National Dex, the fact that Let’s Go sold so well despite being limited to 153 ‘mon pushed them right over the edge to, “Cut the National Dex from Sword & Shield, there’s no point in working on it.” I mean, why should they expend the effort if people will buy the games anyway? Especially when President Ishihara went on record saying that long-time fans only cared about “new pokémon and features” around the time of Let’s Go’s release. Sure, they might have already been thinking about cutting the National Dex beforehand, but Let’s Go no doubt assured them that it was a safe and correct call to make.
So that’s what I mean when I say that Let’s Go’s positive sales figures sealed all of our fates. To be entirely honest, before the National Dex announcement, I was certain that we wouldn’t see the shockwaves from Let’s Go until Gen IX. But Sword & Shield having a limited ‘Dex just like Let’s Go, and having special feature ‘mon behind $60 paywalls like Let’s Go, and having core features stripped out like Let’s Go, and the fact that it’s starting to look frighteningly like the starters won’t be able to evolve like in Let’s Go . . . the effect is pretty apparent. Sure, some of this stuff was present even before Let’s Go (namely the whole “let’s ditch useful features in the name of simplifying things” tack that Masuda has been married to for years now), but in the wake of Let’s Go, it’s success, and what Masuda said would happen if it was successful, it’s really hard not to see the link.
(Note just in case anyone read too quickly: I’m not saying the starters WON’T evolve. I’m only saying that I’m starting to fear that’s the case since we’re less than a month away from release and we haven’t even seen second stage evolutions yet. Maybe they’re just trying to keep starter evolutions a surprise, that’s entirely possible, but it’s also highly suspect, and Game Freak destroyed any trust or good faith I had in them a while back.)
As a final note, the reason why I say that the Pokémon games aren’t treated with respect is . . . well, there are a few reasons:
Game Freak stated themselves that they put their B Team on Sword & Shield while their A Team worked on Little Town Hero. They also said they wanted to create something, “as exciting, or perhaps even more exciting” than Pokémon. They’re tired of working on Pokémon, and it shows. Which, I mean, I get it, it’s been 20+ years, but in that case tell Nintendo so that they can shift the main games over to another studio. I get that Game Freak was created for the sole purpose of making Pokémon, and maybe Taijiri-san is pissed at how you’re disrespecting his baby (I would be), but for the good of the series, if you don’t want to work on it, give it to someone who does. Don’t just shift it onto your bare bones secondary dev team.
These games are in a hellish development cycle where a new one is popped out every year. Contrast this to The Legend of Zelda where, while we’ve had some anomalies where assets were able to be largely reused and so games came out only a couple years apart (see: Ocarina of Time to Majora’s Mask) --- even that had two or three years before releases, not one the very next year. Most mainline Zelda games spend five or six years in development. I’m fully aware that we will likely be waiting until something like 2022 for Breath of the Wild 2, and I am prepared to wait that time because I know the game we get will be incredible. Granted, I’m going to be dying every single time they announce a release date to push it back, but it’ll be a death I’m grateful for because I will know that the end product will be worth it. The Pokémon games used to have a similar luxury. While there were a grand total of five games released during that time (with “five games” being used loosely, given that one was a slight upgrade and the other four were really two games with slight differences between versions), Gen IV lasted for a grand total of four years. We had Diamond & Pearl in 2006, Platinum in 2008, HeartGold & SoulSilver in 2009, and then finally, Black & White in 2010. By contrast, Gen VII didn’t even last three years, technically. I mean, this November would be its third anniversary, but that’s when Gen VIII officially starts instead. To be fair, it could be argued that Gen IV didn’t have a full four years since it came out in September 2006, and Gen V came out in September 2010. But even if you make that argument, it still had a full year on Gen VII, and to be honest, that showed. The Sinnoh games are far and away not my faves, but they were still full of content. HeartGold & SoulSilver are often considered to be the best remakes in the entire franchise, and considering the content that was cut from OmegaRuby & AlphaSapphire and Masuda’s reasoning for why that content was cut, I can’t exactly argue with that even though I did genuinely enjoy ORAS. And the games that Gen IV ushered in? Controversial opinion, but I think that the Pokémon games peaked with Gen V. Black & White not only initially had a ‘dex that was nothing but new pokémon (and yet STILL included the Nat Dex later, because in Masuda’s own words he felt it cruel to keep people from playing with their faves forever!), but it also introduced a METRIC TON of new mechanics, some of which we no longer get to use (Rotation Battles? Game Freak doesn’t know her). Who knows what exactly Game Freak did with that extra year, but it was clearly a lot of work given how wonderful the games were in Gen IV and Gen V. The extra dev time showed.By contrast, Gen VII got 2.5 years (or 3 if you’re being generous). Every single game released during this gen had massive content cuts, even when comparing to Gen VI, which also had massive content cuts. Mechanics were stripped away, and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon technically didn’t have a NatDex either, but at least you could still have all of your ‘mon in them at a later date if you wanted to. Now with Sword & Shield, we don’t even have that, despite the Switch being far more powerful than the 3DS. (We also don’t have Mega Evolution for whatever godforsaken reason, even though the Kanto Mega Evolutions at the very least were already used in Let’s Go, the fuck, Game Freak). Pokémon games print money and always have, and Game Freak has taken this and their lack of interest in the series to the depressing but I suppose logical extreme of “do whatever and they’ll buy it anyway.” There’s no love here, there’s no respect here. They just don’t care anymore, and as someone who does care an awful lot, it’s super upsetting to me.
And while people have tried to argue that the games can’t be delayed because of the anime or the card game or whatever else:
The games come first. They’ve always come first. I know some people mistakenly think that the anime came first and that the games were created later, but that is 100% false. Pokémon started as a game series and the anime was created to advertise the games, straight up.
Filler episodes exist, and the PokéAni is no stranger to them. The Orange Islands arc was an entire arc of filler created to pad time between Gens I and II. The Delacora Islands (or whatever they were called) was a filler arc meant to pad time between Gens V and VI. Arguably the majority of the Sun & Moon anime was filler, given its slice-of-life genre, meaning the anime was even less of an excuse not to delay Sword & Shield. You can’t tell me people wouldn’t have been happy with another year of the Alola crew running around getting into random adventures. People would have eaten that up and loved it. We could have had it all.
I’m not even going to dignify “but the card game” with a response lmao. This isn’t Yu-Gi-Oh!. Sure, the card game makes money, and probably a decent amount of it (merch sales probably make up the franchise’s greatest source of income, and as someone who easily spent several hundred dollars in two weeks at the PokéCenters in Japan---including over $100 in one trip to a PokéCenter while I was there, and we went multiple times---I am a big part of that), but they come up with bullshit new expansions all the time and could easily keep doing it. Again, not a reason to delay the games if the games need more time in development.
So all in all, at the end of the day, Game Freak is no longer treating these games with love and respect, which makes them an awful lot like the villains in the games they create. The Let’s Go games were harbingers of disaster for the games, and we were told this very plainly, and just about no one listened. In fact, I legitimately lost friendships with people who got mad at me for making Facebook statuses about how they should buy Let’s Go used if they absolutely had to have them because how DARE I believe Ishihara when he said that Let’s Go were considered core titles, and how DARE I believe Masuda when he said that Let’s Go would usher in the last twenty years of the franchise. Clearly, I was just being an ugly bitch. (I wish I was exaggerating, but this actually happened, I got blocked over it, it was ridiculous.) And now here we are as a result, with no hope of things getting better unless Nintendo forcibly rips Pokémon out of Game Freak’s hands, which I don’t even think they can legally do given that they only own 1/3rd of the IP. (The other 2/3rds belong to Game Freak and Creatures Inc., as I understand it.)
TL;DR:
Pokémon is still my favorite fictional fantasy world, but as someone who has always loved the games first and foremost, the current state of it depresses me to no end.

1. she did an interview for liv’s documentary
we only know this from ryan price himself who, when getting papaprazied, was asked about who he talked to for the documentary. he named a few people and stella was in the list. it’ll be interesting to say the least to hear what she has to say since she seemed to have some...strong opinions.
2. she dropped out of college
we only really know this from twitter where she complained about it. it seemed like she was majoring in business management. its unclear why she dropped out, but she did after only a few months of university.
3. she works as an event planner
this one isn’t hard to figure out. she worked on the recent vanderbilt hotel event.
4. she has a sex tape with cian callaghan
we all know this one. the only thing she has said about it is “you’re welcome” on twitter.
5. she doesn’t like maxwell harper
i mean...it could be some elaborate joke, but we doubt it at this point. between tweets about why zelda was in the car and “fuck maxwell harper” - it seems like he’s done something to her to make her dislike him, but no amount of fans tweeting at her has made her explain. during her venting about austin harper joking about buying belinda a boob job - she tweeted that she didn’t like him because “he seems like a max”.
6. she loves her twitter account
and here are some of our favorite stella tweets:
i aspire to have the blind, misled & ill advised confidence that joanna martel has. good morning to the girl suing joanna martel only i used to find it really annoying that america was such a litigious society, but then that girl sued joanna martel and suddenly i own a bald eagle and an american flag bikini. nobody ever smacked alexis woods in the mouth and it shows nobody: essie: MY HUSBAND
you don't CHOOSE to be gay thats decided for you when you listen to either hella bars by ryder tomasi or like a rockstar by phases. watching extremely vile, shockingly wicked & the incredibly long named ted bundy movie was funny because essence woods was playing a dumb serial killers gf when in reality shes probably actually a serial killer. this guy invited me into his boat so now i gotta bully him for thinking i'm gonna be murdered that easily
some of ryan's songs are just the adult version of LC. change my mind. oh wait. you can't.
7. she’s a big ryder (and ryan?) fan
stella has always seemed like a big ryder fan. ryan it seems like she flip flops on sometimes, but she often posts tweets related to them:
its cute we all keep pretending like we can understand a thing ryan price says during his songs. y'all are really cute for humoring these ex-disney kids so they dont go totally methed out
okay...look. i don't like that ryder made that one little things cover but thats some BIG DICK ENERGY if i've ever seen it. cause he knows damn well they aint gonna do shit about it. what are they gonna say? nothing.
you can't say shit to a man whose arm is as big as your head. ryder isn't exercising so he looks attractive. he's working out to ensure that he can say whatever the fuck he wants forever.
the only tolerable famous people are quinton, ryder, ryan & maia.
8. she’s moody about famous people.
she tweeted this after fighting with kelsey ambrose:  famous ppl tweet me the same like...3 insults..................and 2 of them are about me not being famous., and it definitely wasn’t the first time she’s tweeted about ‘stupid famous people’ including the previous tweet about the “only” tolerable famous people.
another example is tweeting about austin harper. she started out trashing him but later on commended him for snapping off about alexis and greyson tweeting;
half of these male musicians just listen to whatever the fuck their managers say and i'm sure austin wasn't supposed to say that but he did anyway. and you wanna know why? HE HAS BALLS and defended his woman over listening to the people HES paying.
i'd also have hit him austin go off boo. u fight human shrek [greyson] for not making it an ongoing series
but later on went on to being suspicious about him:
but also he better stop that relapsing nonsense before his kid gets here. if you have a drug addiction + a kid you're a shitty parent. no cap. no go backs. do not pass go. do not collect $200. and if he's relapsed in the last year...then he's not gonna be able to handle having a baby without relapsing because babies are hard and trying and make you not sleep so coke seems like a solution there.
9. she at least somewhat can stand callan (or used to).
she’s been pretty quiet on the callan front for a while now, but it seems like callan is the only one she might still like. this comes from the video of sixteen or seventeen year old stella saying that people liked lc because roman/callan were “arm candy” to 14 year olds. but she’s since then tweeted negatively about roman. so its hard to tell if roman still stands - but she’s never had much to say about callan.
10. she doesn’t like her siblings fame.
this is something that has been known from lc fans finding the accounts of stella’s old high school classmates who claimed that stella would get annoyed when anyone brought up her siblings or asked questions.

7. Most disappointing game you’ve played?
Most disappointing game... hmm, that’s a good one.  I imagine that if I played No Man’s Sky, I might put that here.  Luckily, I’ve been spared that misfortune.  So...
Ooh, wait I actually just thought of something.
Tales of Graces.
I love the Tales series, I say that as someone who got into the series by way of a horribly-regarded spin-off, Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World.  After enjoying that game, I played the original, which was of course 13432x better, and then went on to play my favorite game of the series, and one of my favorite games of all time, Tales of the Abyss.  The lore, characters, music, battle system... everything in that game is fun and awesome and ... damn, it dealt with some issues.  It still is one of my favorites.  Did I mention it features some of my fav voice actors? Because it does.
And then Tales of Graces happened.
I really enjoyed it while I played it--hell, I even cosplayed one of the main characters from it.  But that’s where the problems were... the characters.
They were all horribly flat and one-dimensional.  It was so, so, so disappointing.
For reference: we have an android who learns the power of friendship, a Quirky Scientist Girl who has -2 personality besides being a Quirky Scientist, a jealous brother of the protag separated in their youth and brought up as a military brat basically who has... some personality I guess..., an Old Mentor Dude who has no other personality than that, a Jealous Childhood Friend who has no personality but to dote on the protag who, in a better game, would have been gay for his childhood friend who’s a prince (who also turned out to be a shit villian because he was just... possessed by a spirit thing who, like him, was tired of being alone and abandoned and shit).  Yeah.  I wanted it to be good.  The game was fun.  The rest of it was bleh.
18. Worst game you’ve played?
I feel like I have a ready example and like I should really have a concrete game in mind for the worst game I’ve ever played.  One sec, I’m gonna ask my group chat what the worst game we’ve ever played is.
I was gonna say Arc Rise Fantasia and my friend also said that so honestly that’s a contender.  The voice acting was atrocious.  I can’t handle bad voice acting because voice actors are my jam and bad voice acting is .. bad and disrespectful to the people who make a living doing it tbh.
Another contender for this is Eternal Sonata.  I have no idea who came up with that shit.  Amazing music though, obviously.  It’s literally about the famous nineteenth century Romantic composer Frederic Chopin, but like... if he had an animu dream right before he died or some shit.  It’s THAT WEIRD.  Everything is named after musical terms (some girl that’s like a 14yo surrogate to his dead sister is named Polka, for example).  And of course Freddy himself is a pretty bishounen animu dude.
22. If you could turn one game into movie, which would it be?
Dragon Age?  But that would be hard because I’d just want to see a Tabris kick the Archdemon’s butt with her gf Leliana and that is Not what would happen if BW made a movie out of DAO lol.
So with that in mind... honestly, Transistor would make a great movie.
Ooh, I know now actually.  Life is Strange would make a good...live action something.  Isn’t it getting a TV series of some kind?  If they do it right, that’ll be cool.
I would also watch a movie of any Zelda game ever, especially Twilight Princess.  I don’t post about LoZ too much but I am a diehard Zelda fan.
Dishonored (either one) would probably make a good movie too.
30. On average, how long does it take you in the character creation screen?
ohhhhh jeez.  Probably at least an hour.  At LEAST 40 minutes.  Depends on the game, too.  I haven’t started modded Skyrim SE yet because I downloaded over 600 hair mods and can’t pick.  So there’s that.  Couldn’t tell you how long I spent in the Dragon’s Dogma CC originally, but when it came out for PC I literally had my Xbox on the TV and my laptop with the PC version open so I could recreate my exact characters with the exact specifications.  That also took awhile.  lol.
54. A sequel you really want?
A year or two ago, I’d have said a Nier sequel without hesitation, and maybe a dreamy look in my eyes, because the studio that originally made it closed down.  But, Nier: Automata is coming out in less than a month!!!! so dream fulfilled!!!
So with that out of the way... hmm.
Oh, wait, I know.
DRAGON’S DOGMA.  I want a sequel (I’d even be happy with them just localizing the online game that hasn’t come to the West yet).  I’m too interested in the lore of that game for my own good and it’s just so damn fun.
(I also might’ve said Bayonetta a year or two ago bc it took them like 23 years of delays to actually release the sequel but hot DAMN Bayonetta 2 is what every sequel should strive to be).
57. What is an overrated game you’ve played?
I’m tempted to say Firewatch for this one, but that’s an indie game, so I’m not sure how overrated it could really be.  It just was kinda short and disappointing and not worth the money that I didn’t spend on it bc I actually watched my friend play it anyway.
I would say Overwatch but I really love OW so I would say it deserves a lot of the praise it gets.  A game that I’ve played that doesn’t deserve that praise, though... hmm.... I guess I can’t really think of one.  Probably just because it’s late and whatnot.  I can say I’ve played some pretty underrated games, though.  Nier and Dragon’s Dogma come to mind.
Anyway, thanks for sending these friendo!!

Nintendo Direct E3 Takes
Well we’re pretty much done with E3 at this point, and it looks like once again Nintendo is carrying the whole damn thing on their back.
This is obviously a bit biased, because I’m not really into the AAA gaming industry otherwise, and the only other potential announcement I cared about didn’t happen. You had one fucking job, Capcom. One job.
Anyway as I did last time this came around I’m giving some hot takes like every single other person on this godforsaken internet because innovation is dead and react culture is king. Shall we?
Smash DLC Fighter…10 or something idk
Tumblr media
I mean, look. I was hoping for an indie representative. Kazuya isn’t really that. But on the other hand, Tekken rep is something I can still get behind. They’ve already got Street Fighter and Fatal Fury in there, might as well get Tekken. What’s next, Raiden from Mortal Kombat? Hell, might as well get some Rivals of Aether character in there, might as well, don’t even have to change much.
From what little we’ve seen of Kazuya’s kit, it looks like his gimmick is going to be…complicated input combos for special attacks. Hm. Well, it’ll probably be fine. People managed with Ryu, they’ll manage with Kazuya. I do appreciate that they gave this guy his demon form- I guess they had to make him jump somehow, huh?
 Life is Strange
I haven’t played the original Life is Strange, but I did watch a playthrough so I know how it goes. Don’t really know much about Before the Storm or 2, but I don’t think 2 is part of this collection anyway? Look I’m probably not going to buy this, but it’s probably good that it exists. The original was like, actual good rep, I think, so they’re probably not going to fuck this one up. New character is neat looking, good for them.
A Bunch of games, I guess
Guardians of the Galaxy? Damn dude, did I ask?
Worms Rumble said it had 32-person multiplayer, which I was like well hang on how’s that going to work with turn-based Worms combat you’d be waiting for ever. Except it isn’t turn-based. And it looks like ass as a result. F.
Astria Ascending…I’m reading this name and I already forgot what this was. Sorry if you cared about it I suppose.
I know nothing of the Two Point…series, I guess? I keep on seeing Hospital pop up on either Steam or the eShop, and I’ve scrolled past it without thinking twice every single time. Not about to change that.
 Super Monkey Ball
I understand this series was a lot of fun for a lot of people, but it just looks miserable to me. With that said, I have seen some speedruns of these games that look incredible, so on that axis I’m happy this is getting made. Makes doing a marathon-length run of this a fair bit easier.
 Mario Party
Look I haven’t even gotten around to playing my (very fake) Mario Party 3 cart, you think I’m going to buy another 80 dollar game on top of that? Nah.
 Metroid
Tumblr media
Yoooooooooooooo lets fucking gooooooooooooo
Okay so I’ve actually never beaten a Metroid game. Got some ways into Fusion and Super but didn’t complete either of them. But this looks super cool and good and I’m here for it. They mentioned that this was the first new 2D Metroid game in 19 years, which I guess means Fusion was the latest one.
…wait how many Metroid games are there even? Like, the original, Super, Fusion, the three Primes, and that one we don’t talk about…is that it? That feels a lot smaller than I thought it was, but I guess it adds up.
Just don’t cock it up, I guess. Metroid and Castlevania’s absence have left indie devs to fight for the Metroidvania name, and it’s about time the big boys got to come back around again.
 More bullshit
Just Dance 2022. Is this one also coming out on the Wii?
Some racing game that looks cheap as fuck, neato. Man I feel bad for the devs working on these absolute shovelware games, like I bet they’re either working hard or being worked to the bone. But this is what the result is. R.I.P.
It’s about 13 years too late for me to be caring about Dragon Ball. Especially since this is just a port. Next.
Mario Golf
I mean we saw this earlier this year. I don’t even know what was actually new in this presentation.
Bowsers outfit is fucking clean though. Once again proving himself the best Mario character.
 Monster Hunter
Fuck off Capcom. Y’all are leaving Mega Man in the fucking dust and he doesn’t deserve it.
I mean I guess ill get into it here, I mostly just wanted something, anything for the Mega Man Battle Network series. It’s their 20th anniversary, and we haven’t gotten shit so far. Literally just a MMBN collection for the switch, that’s all I want. They were even on the Wii U VC, you can just port those again, I don’t care fucking give it to me.
Anyway. Monhun? Ehhh they already showed this at their lacklustre presentation who cares.
 Warioware
Look I haven’t played this series before, it’s probably fun, but I’m not sure how they stretch microgame content out into a fully-priced game.
Also, the multiplayer looks kinda miserable? Like, in case Mario Party was a little too efficient for ruining friendships, now you can yell at one person specifically for fucking the both of you up, and vice versa. Wheeeeee.
 SMT5
Tumblr media
Shoutouts to Squiggy, they’re super hype for this and I’m happy to see it. I personally again haven’t played this series, let alone Persona (though 4 is sitting untouched in my steam library, oops), but it looks pretty aight. I’m sure there’ll be a huge pile of demons to fuck up, or friend up, and some level of story that people will like (I have literally no idea what the plot of the series is), so. Atlus (?) has been at this for a long fucking time, they aren’t goofing this up.
 Danganronpa
Tumblr media
Shirtless Rantaro Shirtless Rantaro  (shamelessly stolen from u/ AnaLissaMelculo on r/danganronpa)
I’m interested to see Talent Development Plan develop into it’s own fully fleshed out game. It was surprisingly good for a tacked-on minigame, and I hope that they’ll fully take advantage of its potential.
It also looks like the 4 games are releasing separately on Switch, but there is a physical collectors edition with all of them, and I mean, I can probably afford that, riiiiight?
R.I.P. Ultra Despair Girls fans, snubbed yet again. Ehhhh fuck it aside from the dialogue that game sucks ass so its fine.
 More stuff
Fatal Frame looks spooky, I guess. I dunno, I was talking to mates through half of this one so I basically missed it.
DOOM Eternal DLC, cool. I still haven’t finished the original.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater should be on the Switch, and now it is. Or, it will be, in a couple weeks. Good.
There’s something on this list of notes called Strange Brigade, and I have literally no idea what that is. Oops again.
Mario+Rabbids 2, now with a Rabbid Goth GF. I’m terrified to go on any fuckin NSFW platforms for the next couple weeks, because I’m sure everyone is drawing incredibly cursed hentai of that thing. Ubisoft sucks ass, fuck Ubisoft, don’t buy this.
 Advance Wars
Tumblr media
This sure isn’t Fire Emblem. Actually when I was explaining to my mates why this was cool, I called it Fire Emblem but with tanks instead of waifus, except I forgot this game still has waifus. I know strategy nerds love this series, so for their sake I’m happy to see it remade. This just looks unbelievably cute.
 Zelda
Tumblr media
Oh look, Hyrule Warriors 2 DLC, Zelda gets the motorbike now, cool who fucking cares we got more BOTW sequel footage
It does kinda bug me that people keep calling this BOTW 2, because there’s no way that’s what it’s going to be called. Zelda has never done numbered sequels. I mean, they’ve also very rarely done sequels at all, but there are a few- Phantom Hourglass is a sequel to Wind Waker iirc.
It is kinda funny that right after I was saying boo who cares to Skyward Sword remake (still mad this is one game and not a collection) that the new game clearly has SS-ass floating islands and such.
I was hoping we’d get to see Zelda do things this game. Apparently not, she’s stuck in a hole now. Or dead. A shame. But Link at least looks kickass, so.
Look, they could not say a single other thing until release and everyone would still buy this game. Breath of the Wild was an incredible enough game that so many things that vaguely resemble it get compared- Genshin Impact comes to mind. This is likely made by the same (or similar) team, in the same world, and it looks fucking incredible. We all know this is going to be a good game. My hot take isn’t going to change that.
And that’s the tea, sis. All the shit that Ninty had in their corner of E3. It’s a pretty solid lineup! It looks like they are bringing their A-game. I was kind of surprised not to see any Pokemon stuff- while it usually gets its own direct these days, BDSP is really coming up soon and they kinda need to win back the crowd on that one.
Oh what am I saying, it’s fucking Nintendo, it’s too big to fail.
