Honestly I don't think wukong did anything wrong by "abounding" the brotherhood like they didn't abounded him first he didn't owe them anything he doesn't even owe them an explanation he was happier with the pilgrims choosing your own happiness is not a selfish thing and he shouldn't feel bad about it they assumed he "betrayed" them so be it he doesn't have to explain himself for them I'm sure he would've if they asked but they probably never did so yeah he doesn't owe them shit

How do you think season 5 would’ve gone in your Bad End or Twice As Bad AU?
ok, so
y'know how, since season 4, mk has been going through the whole “i don’t want to use or even acknowledge my monkey form because it makes me feel like a monster” thing? well, bad end/twice as bad mk doesn’t have that hangup to address, because he’s spent his entire life up until the shows’ events in that form, training and living in it. he knows no other way.
he is an incredibly powerful monkey demon; he is the harbinger of chaos, and he's fine with it.
his “mortal” form is the one he’s been having visions and confrontations with. (i imagine the ink curse in s4 using his mortal form to taunt him about being weak now that he's got mortals he cares about– "keep on compromising for them, and you'll end up just like them; too small and insignificant to ever make a difference.")
instead of having to face his fear that he may be dangerous (because as a crazy powerful monkey demon trained by the two other most powerful monkey demons in the universe, of course he is), his mortal self is trying to tell him that he doesn't have to be a monster like wukong. death and rampant destruction don't have to be his legacy.
the mortal mk in his meditative visions tells him that caring for his friends doesn't make him weak or undeserving of his power and lineage. the visions he has during the guardian trials (and the guardians themselves) tell him that in order to be a real hero, he has to care about those that his training would tell him are "lesser" than him (also that his friends aren't worth less just because they don't have a ridiculous amount of power).
mk would learn to accept that every being in the world has value, regardless of their status. nuwa would tell him this as well, when he meets her.
season 5 would be bad end/twice as bad mk's journey of accepting that he has a mortal heart, and that caring for others has immense power all on its own. he must choose to be the change to the status quo.
he'd always known he was an "agent of chaos," but the events of season five cement in his mind that he was brought into the world for a reason. just that now, he alone gets to decide what that reason is.
----------
as for his mentors...
getting captured and re-bound by the gold fillet wasn't exactly on the monkey king's itinerary, and he's majorly pissed. he levels the surrounding area about it, and decimates all of the soldiers sent to subdue him (regardless of how agonizing the tightening spell is; the pain just makes him angrier). he breaks every ward and barrier placed against him, tears apart any enemy who dares to come close. his rage is a force to be reckoned with.
wukong had sworn he'd never be subjugated by heaven ever again; he's definitely not just gonna let this slide. the celestial realm will suffer for their breach of the tentative peace they brokered by leaving the monkey king well enough alone.
as the only one that gets captured after his fit of rage, he only has to get himself out of celestial prison. easy, despite how many wards are placed on his cell (it's not like heaven has ever been much of a threat to him before, after all). he has to get back to the group, for his family's sake. nothing will stand in his way.
macaque only barely dodges getting locked into a fillet as well, and uses his advantage to launch a sneak attack on nezha and li jing; this forces them back and gives the gang their chance to escape in the chaos caused by the monkey bros.
the shadow general takes the distraction provided by wukong's rampage to get reader and everyone else somewhere safe. from there, the gang helps mk find all the stones, defeat the guardians trials, and eventually make their way to the pillar.
both wukong and macaque try to stop mk from sacrificing himself (in-between fighting the nine-headed demon), and reader tries to talk him down from it. however, she can't argue with the look of quiet determination on his face..she knows that he's made up his mind. with tears in her eyes she embraces him, then lets him go.
wukong tries to go after him, but one look at reader stops him. she's...she's accepted his decision. just like she always has. maybe...maybe this time, wukong should too. he sheds tears and holds onto his wife... but doesn't follow his son into the pillar.
the world goes silent, before bursting back to life.
the stones are destroyed, the nine-headed demon dissapears, and things go back to almost normal.
----------
—i imagine reader, with her skills as a peacemaker developed from her centuries as queen of flower fruit mountain, is the one who keeps everyone calm and grounded throughout their ordeals. she's gotten to know them all through her adopted charge, and keeps them on track.
—now it'd make sense for reader to be left relatively safe on ffm, but given the state of the universe in this season, the monkey bros aren't about to let her out of their sight (weird end-of -the-world-again family road trip). they don't care much for the rest of existence, but even they have to acknowledge that they'd prefer the world and their mountain unbroken.
—the pagoda sequence is a very emotionally tense one for reader and the boys in twice as bad. reader relives being stolen and the early years of her imprisonment; after they break her out of the hundred eyed demon's spell, she won't look at either of them and flinches away when they try to touch her; little does she know, her husbands relived the same thing (plus all the other bad shit they've done). they've learned enough compassion for her to feel a bit of shame.

Hi umm question can I make a request of a macaque azure lion wukong x fem single mother tiger
Like she has like three cubs (kids) and she had to raise them and there still young because because there recently born because her ex mate (husband) cheated on her with another woman and when he found out she was pregnant with his cubs (kids) he left her while she was pregnant
Finally, getting to this as ehehehhehehehe
Support me here
Sun Wukong
Is very disappointed that your ex mate left you all alone with your triplet cubs.
Is very angry that he cheated.
When he visits you, he more often then not offers to babysit for a day or two so you can have some rest.
At some point he gets you to bring them to his island and he does so much.
He won't let you talk down about your body, will kiss your stomach.
He understands if your not ready to enter a new relationship, willing to take it slow.
Most importantly though, he understands that to date you, he does have to be a good influence in your kids life.
He is willing to fake a certain idea of himself, but he also isn't really willing to change who he is as a personmonkey.
Macaque
Probably found out about you having kids after a date and he coughs on the glass of water you gave him when one kid comes running out to say hi to mama.
Coughs even more when he sees the other two.
He doesn't treat you any differently(besides from letting you choose times when to meet up more freely) because of your cubs.
He does ask questions about the father though. And is fucking pissed.
This man will hunt down your ex and kill him for leaving you and your cubs. Will make sure you suddenly have this man entire wealth in your bank too.
He doesn't let you figure it out, playing innocent and all.
He does like spending time with your kids, though he likes spending time with you more.
Though he does hate it when one or more of the children join you two in bed because of a nightmare. He doesn't like grubby hands touching him as he sleeps.
Azure Loin
This man does not question it.
He just thinks your husband died while you were pregnant and is willing to look after your cubs.
Why else would a father not be in a child's life.
He goes feral when you tell him the truth.
Will hunt this shit down and cut off his gentiles.
"If he is too much of a coward to look after a child then he doesn't have the right to make anymore children."
Will convince your cubs he is their father and he will treat you as if he is your husband, even if you two never get married.
He won't let children be raised thinking they have no family.

What are your thoughts on shadowpeach?
Fandom wise? I do not care for it.
Canon wise? I believe in men committing crimes while forming the most toxic, unhealthy attachments to one person could lead to such a dysfunctional relationship that it, eventually, turns into a functional one. And also they’re trans and aspec.
Disclaimer: this is all my opinion and people can do whatever they want, i simply have my gripes with some of the fandom stuff. this is just me explaining what i like and dislike about shadowpeach.
I think the most common thing people fall into when it comes to ships—or shipping in general—is how to domesticate these two characters without fully addressing their flaws, personalities, behavior, and their overall choices throughout the original media/show they come from.
Macaque and SWK both suffer equally through this mischaracterization: Macaque is often painted as this shy or “edgy” character with little to no ties to his actual character in canon and, more often than not, he is perceived as this “dad” type of character when, in fact, he should not be allowed near children for I fear he will bully them nonstop until they sit there in the corner feeling disheartened and miserable about themselves; Sun Wukong is often portrayed as this dumb himbo with little-to-no means of understanding social cues, not understanding emotions in a way that’s very frustrating, and be this yearning, pining idiot who’s still longing for his childhood crush when he did not hesitate to punch this guy in the face multiple times throughout the show. So when they are paired up together it’s this weird mash of people believing Macaque is the better dad with more understanding of human behavior and Wukong is his dumb, doting husband who’s doing his best and cannot stand up for himself when confronted about things.
The amount of times people choose to make Macaque sympathetic by having Sun Wukong’s family side with Macaque when it comes to Wukong’s actions/choices is so vast I could not count them all on one hand. The common trope of having Princess Iron Fan (Sun Wukong’s sister-in-law) become Macaque’s sworn sister is so disheartening to see for someone who read through Journey To The West and thought of how silly the overall family dynamic of the Demon Bull Family and Sun Wukong’s troops was. Removing Iron Fan as Sun Wukong’s literal sister just to have someone backup Macaque and sympathize with him is funny and a bit silly.
That being said… the canon version of Shadowpeach and its possibilities are, in fact, very delicious.
Tumblr media
Canon wise this is what we know about Sun Wukong and Macaque’s history together:
Sun Wukong and Macaque meet
The brotherhood is formed after Azure meets Sun Wukong, Macaque tags along with Wukong (note: Macaque is not addressed as “brother” by the characters, only Wukong is)
Macaque tries to warn Wukong about how dealing with Heaven might be a bad idea
They share a peach under a tree; Wukong reassures Macaque this plan will work
Wukong carries on with Azure’s plan anyway (yes, azure lion’s plan, not wukong’s)
The brotherhood is defeated and Wukong gets trapped under a mountain
Presumably no one comes to visit Wukong, only Macaque
During his final visit, Wukong is angry that Macaque is free and can’t see the fact that Wukong was trying to do everything for them and his kingdom
Macaque snaps back at Wukong and calls him an obsessive demon before leaving
They have another fallout and fight
Wukong ends up killing Macaque in the aftermath
500~ years later, Macaque and Wukong fight again with Wukong being more apathetic towards their reunion than Macaque is
Macaque obsesses over Wukong continuously (coughs)
Macaque is biased in his retellings of his and Wukong’s relationship (see: all of shadowplay and the scrolls memories)
They fight (again) throughout S3
They somewhat reconcile by the end of S4
We will address the fact Sun Wukong was groomed into going to war by this former celestial warrior instead of having it be because of his own want to protect his family and friends after Heaven refused to pay him the respect he wanted when he first joined their ranks later. Right now we focus on the fact that Sun Wukong is canonically a person people easily fall in love with (platonically) and have a tendency to want to stay close to regardless of what his future actions will be like and Macaque is sequentially obsessed with him throughout the show.
Tumblr media
“The hero and the warrior were like the Sun and the Moon. Their light, a protective glow, shining upon the world. Together, there was nothing that could stop the two of them. Either in the Celestial Realms or on Earth. As time went on, the hero attained power beyond comprehension. As the hero's light grew, so too did his shadow. And soon, the warrior was cast in that shadow. In the darkness, the warrior was forgotten by the hero.”
Fun fact: Macaque is never going to be on par with Sun Wukong’s power and he works best as support than he does a duo-attacker along side Wukong. Wukong is on his own power level and Macaque, while being able of holding his own against enemies, could be stomped to death by Xiaoijiao is he crossed the line.
Macaque’s obsession with Sun Wukong comes from the inability to move on from the past; Macaque wanting things to go back as they were is a subtle theme going through the show — he keeps latching on to biased memories and avoiding the actual problems that caused their relationship to fall apart and it isn’t until Season 3’s big confrontation with Long Xiaojiao’s Samadhi Fire ritual. He realizes he abandoned Wukong during a time of need and proceeds to flee, abandoning him again.
Macaque has issues. More often than not people call out on Sun Wukong for abandoning Xiaotian or the Monkie Kid Crew all while ignoring the fact Sun Wukong does not purposefully leave Qi Xiaotian, he tries his hardest to make it back in time and is visibly scared/horrified when LBD attacks in his absence. Sun Wukong tries his hardest to comfort Xiaotian while Macaque tries to torment him.
Regardless, Sun Wukong and Macaque’s relationship is unique to most media’s portrayal of friends turned enemies. Because Wukong does not see Macaque as a threat up until he teams up with Lady Bone Demon — he is only scary by association, not by anything he has done up until that point. You can tell with the way Wukong mocks him and calls him something akin to a puppet during their interaction in Season 3 when Macaque trapped him and Nezha in the ice.
And even then Macaque doesn’t even bother trying to engage with Wukong in a friendly manner because kindness is for losers HA i’m not apologizing for anything, bye Sun Wukong, you big old LOSER [proceeds to possibly live on the streets and stay homeless until wukong allows him to return to ffm under certain house rules]
You’ll notice that Sun Wukong barely has any opinions on Macaque.
This is because Macaque is favored by the narrative more than Sun Wukong is so we have very little context as to how Sun Wukong genuinely feels towards Macaque.
Sun Wukong sees Macaque as an annoyance, a bother, a threat, a coward, an imposter and then, finally, an ally.
But all we get from that is Wukong handing Macaque a peach-flavored ice cream pop as a parallel to him sharing a peach with his old friend back when they were young monkeys before he was trapped under a mountain for 500 years as a result of his abuser’s power hold on him that forced him to fight heaven as a way to “make the world a better place”.
We love to see it.
Macaque and Wukong’s relationship goes from mutual interest and a supportive friendship established years prior to the original building of the brotherhood to a very weird, uncategorized type of dynamic. The only way to characterize Sun Wukong’s “affection” towards Macaque is, possibly, the same way most people would characterize Macaque to be towards Wukong. Y’know the slightly judgmental actions and eye rolls and scoffs of affection most people write about Macaque when Wukong does something stupid? Yeah.
“But Macaque said “this guy” when Wukong was presenting his plan to defeat Azure—“ yeah have you considered Wukong does a lot of masking in the presence of the entire Monkie Kid Crew and Macaque has a tendency to present himself as this cool persona when in fact he’s just a homeless monkey who’s been crashing on his ex’s couch for the past weeks since the ending of Season 3?
“OK…. but why QPR Shadowpeach?”
Sun Wukong throughout the course of Journey to the West and all its past and future iterations have always had him be uninterested in both men and women. There are multiple instances where he’s capable of courting women and he instead backs away or does not pay it any mind; aside from this he’s heavily implied to only care about familial love and friendships. He does not see his pilgrim brothers as anything more than family and he views Tripitaka as a mentor rather than someone whom he was chained to. And Azure was his idol and he was groomed by him, and everyone else was viewed to him as a troop — or, y’know, a family.
This and the fact that— both Sun Wukong and Macaque are over a thousand years old. Why on earth would they have a normal type of relationship? Giving them a checklist of what passes on as romantic and platonic when to them the line is so blurred it’s barely existent to them is amusing.
Sun Wukong and Macaque having their own weird relationship where it changes from frustrated best friends to partners to angry middle aged demons to the tired traumatized immortals who sometimes cuddle while still beating each other up is so deliciously interesting and unhealthy to the point where it is healthy.
Also Celestial bodies are not the same as mortal bodies; canonically Sun Wukong has transformed into women before and people have addressed him with female-leaning pronouns before. my personal headcanon of sun wukong being genderfluid lves on and now we can have sapphic shadowpeach with transfem macaque.
also im still feverish so if this doesnt make sense then too bad damn im sorry

Hi! If you're still open for NSFW requests, can I get Wukong & Macaque (separate or together up to you) with an S/O who has an extreme praise kink?
If they're not open, then just Wukong stumbling on his S/O being super super sweet on the baby monkeys?
Hi! I decided to do both since I couldn't choose! Enjoy! Here's the SFW request
S/O who has an extreme praise kink with Wukong + Macaque (separately) NSFW
Tumblr media
Sun Wukong
This demon already praises you in the bedroom and outside however once you tell him the more praises he gives you the more aroused and lustful you get the first thing you see is his tail excited swishing about and a cheeky grin making its way up his face.
Wukong definitely starts to kiss you passionately after in hopes of making love to you right then and there if he can. Grasping your hair and sucking and biting your neck, marking up your soft skin, and letting others know you’re Sun Wukong’s lover.
If he can’t because you have other plans or work then he’ll pout hoping that that will convince you to stay but he not going to hold you there against your will of course. That doesn’t mean he’ll wait patiently till you’re free or you can see him and be pampered with all the love The Great Sage has for you.
Tumblr media
Six Eared Macaque
Whether Macaque found out on his own or you told him he’s going to abuse your weakness and whisper how well you take his cock. “You’re such a good mate~” “That’s it- my cute little slut.” “Who knew my lotus would get so wet to my praises and teases~”
Unlike Wukong he’s going to be popping up to not only scare you but to also whisper lewd praises and remind you of how you were fucked dumb the night before. Leaving you with a blushing face and kissing your cheek before hiding in the shadows as one of your coworkers comes over to ask if you’re alright.

Do you have any headcanons for after an escape attempt with each monkey demon ( Mk , Monkey king and macaque) What would be their reaction at first? What would they do when they find you? How stricter would they get? What would they start doing differently after the attempt?
Tumblr media
MK, as usual, has very different responses depending on the season he’s in.
Season 1 MK probably doesn’t even consider the possibility that Y/N could “escape”. This is when the relationship between the two of you is at it’s healthiest, before this poor boy goes through hell and back.
You aren’t locked up, he doesn’t have you hidden away, there’s nowhere that you’re explicitly forbidden to go- there’s nothing to escape from. His assumption isn’t “Y/N is running away from me!” or “I can’t let them escape!” but instead, “It’s been a while since I’ve seen Y/N… so I’ll drop everything to go visit them right now!”
Sometimes he abandons all prior goals to run off and see you. Sometimes he rushes through a fight and ends it a little more… fiercely than his opponents would have liked.
Tumblr media
Once the trauma starts rolling in and Y/N becomes his coping mechanism as much as they are his friend, MK starts to personally define exactly what counts as “escape”.
You aren’t allowed to leave his side without telling where you’ll be going and when you’ll be back. If you’re a competent enough fighter to take on a Bull Clone or two, he won’t push this ‘rule’ as hard. And if you can’t do that?
Then MK makes a serious push for you to train with him. He’ll beg and pester Wukong to teach you at least some of the 72 Transformations as a form of defending yourself or getting out of nasty scrapes without his help. Eventually, his mentor concedes (after some serious bribery on MK’s part) and allows you to take part in the sessions.
But until you can reasonably take care of yourself against two or three opponents at once, MK is by your side every minute he gets the chance. Running off or giving him the slip means little once he’s mastered his Gold Vision, which he does very quickly. Or he can extend his pole to the skies to get a much better view of the surrounding area to see exactly where you ran off to.
Give him the slip too many times, and MK will tie your wrist to his with his headband, ensuring that you don’t get “lost” as he drags you along after him.
“C’mon, Y/N! I already got permission from Pigsy for you to stay the night!”
“That’s sweet of you both, really… but last time I stayed the night, it turned into a week.”
“I know! That was the best, wasn’t it?! Maybe this time, we can stretch it out to a month!”
Tumblr media
Sun Wukong will let it slide once. Just once, he’ll give you the benefit of the doubt, choosing to believe that you wouldn’t go running off with a very good reason. After that, his restrictions mount and your freedoms decline one by one. Each consecutive escape brings you one step close to being locked inside Shuilian Cave, where he decides that you are safest.
But that’s for a later day, once you’ve run his trust dry.
For now, he believes in you.
So he’ll let you leave, giving you a single day to tend to whatever business that you needed to attend to so urgently that you left.
All alone. In the middle of the night. With a single packed bag.
Wukong will let this one first escape slide, because lord only knows that he’s pulled so many horseshit antics that his kid/friend/student/whatever Y/N is running off once isn’t that big of a deal. And really…
He wants to believe in you here. He wants to think that this is something you’re doing for a very good reason, instead of just being a desperate attempt to get away from him.
When the single day he allots you is over and done, you can start counting out your precious, meager minutes of freedom one by one.
In less than an hour, his flying cloud blazes through the sky and blisters the earth like a comet, leaving a crater of destruction and cinders where it lands.
And aboard the vaporous mount is none other the Great Sage himself, arms folded and grin forced.
“Hey there, bud. You been out here having fun, huh?”
No vigor or vim to line his words. No electric cheer to fuel his fluid movements. No warmth in his tone.
It’s almost hard to call him Sun Wukong.
But it is him here, and he’s here for you. He offers you a hand, stiff and tense. The way the acts makes it clear there’s no choice but to take it, not when the air grows thick and the tension is stormy.
“C’mon, bud. Time to head home.”
Tumblr media
Pre-Season 4 Macaque is the only one on this list that’s immoral enough to outright kidnap someone, in my opinion. MK might guilt you into staying with him, and while Sun Wukong would technically commit kidnapping, it’s by virtue of not letting you leave instead of forcibly taking you away. It’d be more along the lines of false imprisonment.
But Macaque?
If all his careful maneuvers and schemes prove inefficient in keeping you close, he’ll switch to brute force in the blink of an eye.
Macaque; at the start, gently manipulates you. His shackles are first gossamer, innocuous and kind. He builds you up and tears you down in increments, never swaying too far to either side. You never feel confident enough to leave, never feel hurt enough to lash out.
He doesn’t chase after you. He makes you feel unstable and dependent, then molds you into seeing him as a shelter that you aren’t strong enough to leave.
It’s a brutal process for Y/N, especially if they’re his student, because he intentionally picks a lonely and insecure person for the sake of rivaling MK.
And if you do somehow break free from the psychological and emotional strings he uses to puppeteer you about, Macaque simply switches to physically stringing you up with his shadows and forcing you to act out your deepest insecurities as he narrates them to an audience of shadow clones.
“Poor little Y/N… forever on their own, watching from the shadows while all the rest of the world laughs and loves with one another.”
The shadows around your body maneuver and mold you, forcing you to wave your hands and walk, dragging your lips into frowns and smiles. Every little shame and self-doubt you possess is bared to the light, bared to his shadows, and you can’t help but be strung along as a passive watcher in your very own story.
You break into tears halfway through, devolving into hysteric sobbing by the end.
And Macaque; no longer a shelter but instead a jail, offers you comfort to reel you back into his grasp. He’ll take you into his arms as you weep, promising to make you stronger, strong enough to forget the past and all that he’s forcing you to leave behind.
Now that you’re rendered to your most reduced state, he can start to work his magic.
“Trust me, kiddo… everything I’m doing, I’m doing for your own good. You get me?”

When Tieshan told Macaque of the scarf, she knew what she was doing. She may not know much of Ancient Stone Monkey culture, but she had 500 years, a mountain full of lost stories and secrets regarding the clan, and quite the incentive to learn as much as she could. After all, it could literally be the difference between life and death for Wukong and his second try at parenthood. She wasn't going to risk sowmthing as simple as a lack of knowledge from stopping her...
So somewhere on that island she came across a depiction of Stone Monkey mourning rituals, including how some monkeys would choose to bury themselves beside their mates during the Stone Egg ritual, or lacking a proper resting place, with their mate's former items so that the dao of their mate would be absorbed by their Egg. A way for their mate to live on through their child, so to speak. This means she knows what it means for Wukong to have buried himself with Macaque's scarf and continue to wear it as a waist wrap even now. And she knows Macaque and Marshall Ma knows it, too.
Pigsy asks her how she knew mentioning the scarf would get Macaque out of his funk.
Pigsy: How the hell did you know that would work!?
Tieshan: Because despite not being raised by them, Macaque is still a Stone Monkey of the Lotus-Eared variant. In their culture, to bury oneself with something covered in their mate's dao is to wish for the cub to absorb the dao and have a piece ofntheir mate pass on to the cub, if not in blood, then in spirit. We can see in Xiaotian's coloration how Wukong and Macaque's dao had mixed together to create a child that looks like both parents.
Marshall Ma: Wukong would have known about this as well, the Elder whom led us before Wukong had taken the throne of the Stone Matriarch had raised him with as much knowledge about the Stone Monkeys as he could before he passed.
Xiwangmu, interested: Stone Matriarch? I have not heard of such a being.
Marshall Ma: 'Tis the title of Wukong's predecessor, the one whom Azure claims to be Lady Sonzi's reincarnation. We know her as the Stone Matriarch of Flower Fruit Mountain. She had led our predecessor tribe before the Floods. It is said she had left an egg bearing her Heir upon the Mountain, the very same one Wukong had hatched from. It is why we made him the Monkey King once he had discovered the ancestral palace behind the Water-Curtain Cave.
Prev.
Tieshan did spend about 500 years watching the island as it's vigil, and protector. She and the Stalwarts had many times come together for meals and chats. The topic of mourning rituals came up when she expressed a comparison to Wukong's state to that of a funeral burial. The Stalwarts were quick to show her the murals inside of Water Curtain Cave, relaying the stories Elder passed on to them from his time. How the Stone Monkeys not could form a vestal child from their own Dao, but from the Dao of lost spouses - given that they buried themselves at their side or with their belongings so that the couple had a chance to produce a shared child.
Tieshan recalls how her sworn-brother's favourite scarf was last seen in Wukong's arms...
The reveal that Macaque is Xiaotian's other parent (spiritually and genetically) is enough for him to shake out of his funk - not only did Wukong still love him after all that happened, but he made an effort to ensure that his second child would be born with Macaque's life energy!
Tumblr media
I like to think that before they leave Flower Fruit Mountain; Xiwangmu and the Jade Emperor make a point of finding one of Shíhuā's shrines/statues and sitting down to just... talk. Both to each other and to their daughter (or whomever she became). They ask her if she was happy in that life. Mention how her son can be such a handful at times but they care for him still.
Guanyin witnesses this from a distance. Tears roll down their face as it hits how the two royals truly see them their kin. They weren't lying when they called Guanyin their daughter, and Wukong their grandson.

“You don’t always have to be the Hero!”
Tumblr media
“It doesn’t always need to be you!”
Tumblr media
As I understand, this line has been thrown around a bit because, well, it’s just a really good line, for any situation it can fit for. It’s impactful, the voice work on the original is really good, and it summarises a lot of LMK season 5’s core themes really well! Heck, it probably summarises a lot of themes really well, but I think there’s something interesting to be found in the fact that it’s Macaque saying it, originally.
Let’s roll back a second to Shadow Play, s2e7, because I think that can really recontextualise it.
“The Hero and the Warrior were like the sun and moon, their light a protective glow, shining upon the world.”
Tumblr media
“Together, there was nothing that could stop the two of them, in either the Celestial Realms, or on Earth.”
Tumblr media
“As time went on, the Hero gained power beyond comprehension.”
Tumblr media
“As his light grew, so too did his shadow, and soon, the Warrior was cast in that shadow.”
Tumblr media
“In the darkness, the Warrior was forgotten by the Hero.”
Tumblr media
…okay, so I’m pretty sure a good half of the fanbase already has this monologue memorised, but I digress. Because the loaded meaning behind the words “Hero” and “Warrior” are never forgotten by the show. If we cut ahead to Embrace Your Destiny, the s3 special, we get a direct reference to these titles in a practical setting.
“I’m not a Hero, bud.”
Tumblr media
“Then be a Warrior!”
Tumblr media
This is the moment which really kickstarts Macaque’s turn to start working with the Monkie Kids. He doesn’t work against them again, after this point! (As of season 5) MK tells him that to do good things, and save the world, he doesn’t have to be the Hero in limelight – he can be the Warrior, doing good from the shadows. And for as much as Macaque does take quite a prominent role in the fight after this, literally taking on Wukong 1v1, it’s still MK who ends up with the glory, in the end.
Macaque needed to hear this because he does these antagonistic things out of self-preservation, yes, but also out of a spite which he knows isn’t especially heroic. And because he doesn’t want to be the guy who leaves stuff behind. But after this, he doesn’t act as an antagonist again, and he does stuff which he really doesn’t want to do, like confronting his past with Wukong in the scroll, in the season 4 special! What MK says sticks with him.
And to get it out of the way, not every time the word “Hero” is used in the show is necessarily a reference to the Hero and Warrior. For instance, when Mei yells at a possessed Wukong and LBD in the season 3 special, she says “Because that’s the hard part of being a hero!”, but I don’t think she’s talking about the implications of limelight, or Wukong and Macaque’s story. I mean, she never even saw the play in Shadow Play, so she likely doesn’t even know the deeper meaning behind that word...
A lot of these other moments can carry interesting implications when examined through that lens (E.G. how Mei fits into the Hero-Warrior dynamic, or the nature of LBD’s “Save your hero speech, child” from the end of season 3) but I think those would better be left for a different analysis.
These two lines from season 5, at the beginning of this post, have a direct connection to the Hero-Warrior stuff though, because they're from the character who invented that metaphor, to the only other character who understands it. It’s like a coded message, I suppose.
Throughout a lot of Macaque’s screen time, especially in the earlier seasons, he preaches about self-preservation, specifically under the advice of “look out for number one”. He believes that people like him, and later MK, need to be the ones to look out for themselves, because otherwise, no one will. This is expanded upon to seem a little more heroic and noble in later seasons, to be similar to a sentiment that Wukong expresses about choosing your own destiny, and forging your own path. The core of the advice is still centred on trusting yourself, and prioritising your own beliefs, but it’s no longer about something that could be perceived as selfish, and more a tool to use for good.
Macaque is shown to want MK to look out for himself less selflessly. His advice in season 4 is this choosing your own destiny stuff, but it also mirrors the end of season 5 really well. He tells MK that the two choices of fighting Azure, or not fighting Azure don’t have to be the only choices. If MK goes to fight Azure as is, he will lose, and there is a good chance that he will die. Like, obviously Macaque doesn’t want the whole universe that he lives in to be destroyed, but he’s also not yet fighting for it, at this point. He does want MK to do what is most likely to save everyone, but the reason he pulled MK aside was to appeal to him to take care of himself.
Season 5 already mirrors and is a true continuation of season 4 in a lot of ways, with the main threat once again being the sky cracks that symbolise the end of the world due to the death of the Jade Emperor, but it’s thematically that we can really see that. Macaque even literally brings up that MK is misconstruing his advice from the previous season in the line right before the ones I’m supposed (haha, we're getting there) to be analysing.
Once again, MK has two choices, functionally: save the world at the cost of himself, or do nothing. Once again, Macaque is advocating for MK to make a third choice, one where the world can be saved without MK likely dying in the process, but MK had taken the whole “choose your own destiny thing” to be choosing the choice that only he can. Macaque’s biggest argument to this are these two lines. That MK doesn’t need to be the Hero, this time, or any time.
The Hero exists a public figure that people can rely on. He represents absolute power, as well as recklessness. In Macaque’s story, the Hero gains power, and then leaves his friend behind, so he’s strong, but doesn’t stop to think about consequences. Now, obviously Macaque is very biased in his story, because we know Wukong very clearly does still care about Macaque, but to what the story represents between MK and Macaque, that’s not necessarily important.
Macaque is just telling MK that he doesn’t need to be someone who’s the public picture of heroism. He has all of this power, but it’s his choice how to use it. Sometimes, it’s okay to take a backseat and be a Warrior, someone who can look out for themself, and who doesn’t always have to do everything themself. Once, the Hero and the Warrior were ultimate power together. The fact that the Hero became that by himself suggests that he still does the job he once did – he just doesn’t need to have anyone help him with it.
The Hero is supposed to be presented as a selfish figure, but that can also flip around to be someone who’s selfless, so selfless that they try to carry the weight of a good mission on their shoulders alone. The Hero’s sin was abandoning the Warrior, not unspeakable evil or something. And… Isn’t that sort of what MK is doing here? He’s trying to an act so selfless that it really could only be called heroic, but to the friends he’s leaving behind to make a sacrifice that’s really a not-so-subtly-disguised suicide allegory, it’s selfish. He abandons them all to fulfil his supposed destiny, but they don’t need him to sacrifice himself – they want to find another way with him.
If you want to look at it that way, MK is playing out the story again. Seems fitting, when later in the same episode, Wukong, the original Hero, tries to take his place and make the same sacrifice.
Macaque’s statement to MK is so loaded because of his history as the original Warrior, and what being a hero really means to him, and across the show with MK’s actions as a whole. He doesn’t need to always be the Hero – sometimes it’s okay to just be a Warrior. And it doesn’t always need to be him – just like the original Hero, there are people who would want to help him, if he just doesn’t leave them behind.

Show Play episode got me think about Macaque
Tumblr media
The Hero and Warrior were like sun and moon yeah bla bla bla hate them <3. Anyway Macaque have whole fanfic about him and SWK . The story tell how the warrior being abadon and forgeten by the hero.
In this episode, after hearing the story MK feel abadon by SWK. He also thought that SWK make a mistake by choosing a wrong student. He feel hurted and abadon. But in reality he kinda abadon his friend in this episode by not noticing his friend is gone and didn't look for his friend. He try to reach out to them but only once and when that happend he think his left him there. Also SWK didn't choose him to be his student. He just don't. MK just so happened to able lift the staff. He don't even need to 'prove' himself which raise a lot of questions but not for now. The whole things happened and MK think himself as The Warrior.
Which warrior again? Oh yeah the loser self pro-claiming Warrior who fail the job he give himself, Macaque <3 ( Six-eared Clown his full name ). Anyway I just think Macaque did the same you know?? Like he think SWK abadon him he's the one who leave first. He blame everything on SWK and saying that SWK drag everyone down with him but really SWK never ask them to join him. He just didn't. They plan everything together with all the brotherhood. He went to Wukong but that just once then he left. All that and he's the warrior.
They both kinda think they got abadon by SWK and think it's wukong wrong when it's not ┐(´ー`)┌
(I kinda drank a lot of energy drink before wrote this so yeah)

what a woman enjoys
╚══•.·.☆.·.♥︎.·.☆.·.•══╝
ʚ Naoya Zen'in x Fem Reader ɞ
───────────────
❥Summary: You are in an arranged marriage with Naoya Zen'in. He's never cared about your pleasure before, but one argument leaves him wondering what you enjoy in bed. He decides to find out what the answer is.
❥Word Count: 1.7k
❥CW: fem reader (reader has a vagina, referred to as "wife" and "girl"), smut, fem masturbation, penetration, creampie, voyeurism, possible dubcon since reader doesn't choose to be married to Naoya
────── ♡ ──────
"So this is what my little wife enjoys, huh?"
You swallowed thickly, fingers still rubbing incessantly on your clit. You were too nervous to look at him, choosing instead to keep your eyes squeezed shut.
"I asked you a question, and I expect an answer."
"Y-Yes! I… I like this…" you replied hesitantly, beyond embarrassed by your current predicament. You were bare naked on your shared bed, Naoya sitting in a chair at the foot of the bed while you sat in the center. You were spread eagle, allowing Naoya to watch you play with yourself, doing just what he demanded.
You wish you knew exactly what had caused this situation. You had heard some gossip from the maids about a conversation (or, rather, an argument) between Naoya and his cousin, Jinichi. Apparently, Jinichi had taken a woman to bed, and she was being so loud that Naoya had heard her when he got up in the middle of the night. Word has it that Naoya teased his cousin for "inviting a macaque" into his bed, and Jinichi replied by accusing Naoya of not recognizing a woman's screams of pleasure. This led to Jinichi accusing Naoya of not knowing how to please a woman at all, which of course led to a sparring match between the two that was less than lighthearted. The entire exchange was quite scandalous to the ladies who worked at the Zen'in estate, and they were chattering about it all afternoon.
You could only assume that your husband's pride had been severely wounded by the entire altercation. There was no other plausible explanation for why he would've stomped around the estate all evening up until you prepared for bed, no other reason for why he would've ordered you to strip naked and show him "what you enjoy in bed."
None of this was for you—you knew that—but you couldn't ignore the pleasure that was building in your core. You could feel your fingers begin to cramp up from how frantically they toyed with your clit. You were panting softly, trying not to make too much noise in your silent bedroom, fearing that your voice would travel through the thin fusuma. The last thing you needed was for someone to hear you in such a state.
Your fingers traveled lower, two digits pushing inside, searching for that gummy spot that made your toes curl.
Naoya had never bothered to please you in bed before. In his eyes, it was your job to please him, not the other way around. You were merely a warm hole for him to plant his seed; there was no purpose in bringing you pleasure (not that he could in the first place). It was safe to say that this situation was very random to you, completely out of nowhere (aside from his rumored conversation with his rugged cousin). If he had not acted like his usual stern self, you would've sworn he had gone mad.
You huffed in annoyance, unable to reach your g-spot with your own fingers. They just weren't long enough to reach that sweet spot inside you. You pulled your fingers out of your cunt with a sigh, moving them back to your clit instead. Your husband noticed your disappointment, resting his chin against his fist.
"What's the matter? Are your small, delicate fingers not enough?" Naoya teased, a smug grin spreading on his face.
"N-No… they're not…" you replied timidly. Naoya clicked his tongue in false sympathy.
"Poor little wife. Can't do anything without your husband, can you?" It took all your strength not to roll your eyes. He took your silence as an answer, chuckling quietly before leaning forward, patting the edge of the bed. "Come here."
You swallowed your pride and followed his command, scooting closer to the edge, your feet threatening to slip off the bed. Naoya hummed as you looked away in embarrassment, his hand trailing up your thigh as he examined you. He brought his hand to your cunt, his index finger pushing into you without warning, making you gasp.
"I don't believe I've ever seen you this wet before," he commented, pumping his finger in and out of your sopping cunt. "Is… is this normal for you… when you enjoy yourself?" he asked, the scarcest amount of insecurity in his tone. You sighed shakily when he added a second finger, nodding your head.
"Ye-Yes… yes, it is…" Naoya watched you closely before his eyes went back to your cunt.
"Hm. Strange." His fingers curled momentarily, making you gasp. Naoya took notice of your reaction, repeating the action, curling his fingers up into your g-spot again. You let out a moan this time, clenching around his fingers. Naoya's eyes widened, his gaze zeroing in on where his fingers disappeared inside you. He pushed them in and out of you for a few moments before adding a third finger, spreading you wide and making you keen. Your fingers kept working your clit all the while, moving faster, chasing your high.
"You're quite eager, aren't you?" He didn't wait for you to reply, pumping his fingers into you faster. "Sucking in my fingers like a cock-hungry slut. Who knew that my wife could be such a whore?"
"I-I'm sorry," you breathed, apologizing on instinct. Naoya chuckled, his free hand squeezing the underside of your thigh.
"It's alright, dear. You're only this way for your husband, right? You only get this needy for me, don't you?" You bit back an aggravated groan, nodding instead.
"Y-Yes… only you, Naoya."
"That's right," he breathed, pressing into your g-spot again. "You're only a slut for me, no one else."
"Naoya… p-please—"
"Don't whine. It's unbecoming." You shut your mouth, biting your lip when he removed his fingers. He stood up, peeling away at his clothes as he stared down at you. You kept still while he undressed, soon coming face to face with his erect cock. "Move back."
You followed his orders, scooting back to the center of the bed again. He followed you, crawling over your frame. He suddenly grabbed the backs of your knees, pushing your legs back, making you fall down to the bed.
"Hold your legs back," he demanded. You did as he said, holding onto the backs of your thighs. Naoya's eyes roamed over you, drinking you in as he breathed deeply. He sat up on his knees, stroking his cock languidly. He crawled closer a moment later, towering over you, his cock pressing at your entrance. He smirked to himself when he felt your entrance suck at the head of his cock, soon pushing into you with a sharp hiss.
"Shit—why are you so—fuck!" He continued to curse under his breath as he pushed into you, bottoming out soon enough. His cock felt a lot different when you were aroused, the fit snug instead of painful. This was probably the first time you could actually enjoy having his cock inside you.
"Naoya—"
"Shut up," he groaned, pulling out and thrusting back in, starting a reasonable pace. "I don't want to hear you complaining. You're going to take what I give you."
"O-Okay," you mumbled, already panting. His thrusts weren't too fast, but they were hard, his hips slapping loudly against yours.
"Fuck, yeah, fucking take it. You greedy slut, sucking me in—fuck!" he snarled above you, eyes squeezed shut as he thrust into you. Maybe he was trying to imagine you were someone else. You couldn't say that you cared; you had often done the same.
Your pussy squelched loudly, squishing and slurping with each roll of his hips. The added lubrication made his cock feel so much better than it did in the past. His dick filled you so well, your slick allowing him to thrust without difficulty, causing pleasure instead of the usual pain. You could feel pressure building deep inside you, growing with each smack of his hips against yours. You bit your lip, releasing one of your legs and moving your hand to your cunt, rubbing your clit to speed up your orgasm.
"What do you think you're doing?" You froze, nervously looking up at Naoya who slowed his thrusts for a moment.
"I… I just—"
"You think you can do better than me?" he snarled, pushing your hand away and replacing it with his own. "As if you could please yourself better than your husband."
His thumb circled your clit as his hips picked up speed again. You mewled, hips curling to meet his, and he smiled at the action.
"Look at you, bucking your hips into me like a filthy whore. You like all this, don't you?" You hummed quietly, but Naoya seemed displeased with this response. He pulled his hand away to slap at your ass, making you yelp. "Answer me when I ask you a question."
"Yes! Yes, I-I like it, I like it—oh, Naoya, I'm gonna c-cum—"
Naoya laughed breathlessly above you, almost in disbelief. His hand returned to your cunt, moving in time with his thrusts. You hadn't cum in so long that this sudden onslaught of attention sent you hurtling over the edge. Your nails dug into your legs, cunt pulsating as you came.
"Shit—what is—oh fuck—"
Naoya braced himself above you so he wouldn't collapse. You felt warm liquid filling you up as you came down from your high, his hips jolting into yours, twitching as he emptied his balls inside you.
The two of you stayed still for a minute, panting, composing yourselves. Naoya moved first, holding your hips down as he pulled out of you. You moaned softly at the sensation, letting him hold your legs apart and watch your combined fluids leak out of you.
"Not bad," he muttered to himself, watching his cum slip down between your ass.
"I… I'll go c-clean up," you offered, but Naoya kept a hold on you when you tried to get up.
"Did you enjoy yourself?" he asked, looking up to see your reaction.
"Uh… yes. Yes, I enjoyed it very much." He hummed.
"I enjoyed it, too. I didn't know you were capable of getting so wet for me. In fact," he continued, returning his thumb to your clit, "I think I'll have you like this from now on."
"You… what—"
"From this day forward, you will return to the bedroom after dinner and touch yourself until I arrive. That way, you'll be nice and soaked for me. Do you understand?" You suddenly dreaded the next evening.
"Y-Yes, sir." He smiled, patting your thigh.
"Good girl. Now, get on your hands and knees. I'm not quite done with you yet."

Choose your own Adventure (2) "The Date" Part TWO
After some thought, Wukong suggests the two of them head to a performance he saw in passing on the way to meet up.
Tumblr media
Macaque eagerly agrees, the smallest smile on his face. Upon arriving the two find a large crowd circling an on going performance.
Joining the sea of citizens, the two Monkeys stare at the performers. Some danced and played instruments- performing an interlude.
Wukong realizes they seem to have arrived rather late into the performance, nearly half of it done. Macauqe doesn’t seem to mind, opting they stay to enjoy what was left.
Until, that is, the star of this performing group took the stage again. They wore a strange mask, painted to match that of a monkey. Carrying with them a fake cardboard staff.
This performance was an homage to “Journey to the West”. More performers took the stage, each dressed as a companion to the great “Monkey King”
While neither said anything at first, perhaps afraid to, it wasn’t until the final performer took the stage that Wukong found himself looking at Macaque to gauge his reaction.
“A Six Eared Demon” that could steal another’s face. Sun Wukong would defeat this trickster and then continue on his journey” is how they had claimed this part in the show to be.
The crowd booed at the “Demon’s” entrance.
Tumblr media
Wukong finds himself looking at Macaque in a panic. What should he do??

Lionpeach prompt: After Azure becomes the Jade emperor he makes a deal with wukong that if he marries him his friends will be safe
Sun Wukong had no idea how long he had been in the scroll.
It could've been minutes or years. Time was easily lost when you had to traverse a landscape made of your worst memories, from receiving his shifu's harsh words of banishment to feeling the fillet tighten around his head for the first time to hearing Long Xiaojiao scream at him as the Samadhi fire wrapped around her. He had fucked up in his long life, and the scroll made sure he remembered it all, even the smallest thing that slipped his self-hatred.
At least Xiaotian and the others had escaped. If they were out, there was hope.
He sighed, standing up from the ledge he sat on. He had needed a quick rest, although it was tempting to just sit there. He couldn't. He needed to figure a way out.
Before Wukong could begin to move, the world began to glow a familiar azure blue. He tensed up, taking a step back. Before he could run, the blue swallowed him up...
And he came to.
It was dark, although it took him a second to realize that he was scrunching his eyes closed. "Wukong?" a familiar voice said. He scrunched his eyes up even more. Once, that voice had made him feel warm and confident, sure of himself and his friends.
Then he had tried to kill him.
A familiar paw smoothed gently down his face. "Should he be like this?" Azure's voice said, probably asking Yellowtusk. "He should be alright now, right? We fixed the damage to the tile."
Oh. That explained why things got screwy at the end.
"I think he's just pretending so we'll leave him alone."
Dang it.
Wukong opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was a giant multi-colored crack that began to close, ruining the lovely bedroom that had to be in the Celestial Realm. The second thing was Azure, practically crackling at the seams with the Jade Emperor's power, sitting next to him.
"Azure..." he whispered, not sure whether to be angry at him or afraid for him. "You're killing yourself."
Azure didn't respond beyond a simple quirk of his brow. "Leave us," he said to Yellowtusk. "I want privacy for this moment." Wukong felt his own brow raise as the elephant demon slipped out surprisingly quiet, closing the door behind him.
There was a heartbeat of silence.
Then Azure's paw gently turned his face towards his. "Wukong," he sighed.
"Azure."
"...I was so worried about you," the lion sighed. "I was hasty and acted foolishly. My cruelty towards Qi Xiaotian was uncalled for," Wukong tensed the moment his successor's name left the lion's mouth. "But I hope I can make it up to him with this."
"With what?" Wukong scoffed. Azure had a tendency to act before he thought, not really taking in many people's opinions. It was one of the things that made Macaque feel uneasy.
The next words are enough to justify Macaque's unease.
"Marry me."
"...Excuse me?"
"I can protect Xiaotian and his friends if the world knows they're under my protection thanks to you," Azure said, not bothering to repeat himself. He was unaware of dots connecting in Wukong's mind, disgust filling him.
He trusted that Azure wanted the Jade Emperor gone, for the better in his mind. But, choosing him to be the next emperor? The minute Wukong had met him, Azure had insisted that he was the perfect choice, even through frustration at him putting his monkeys first and his goofy attitude. Peng had once told him, out of spite at something Azure did, that Azure had a list of baby names for children he wanted with Wukong. Wukong had brushed it off, assuming that they just wanted chaos between him and the lion.
Except now he had to face the idea that Azure had hoped to get in his pants.
Before he could even say something or figure out what to say, Azure sighed. "I'll take your silence as a no," he said.
Lips pressed against his cheek.
"Please, think about it. I only want what is best for you." Azure pulled away, heading to the door. He paused to glance back at him with what he probably thought was a kind expression, but all Wukong could think was the idea that sat in his mind now.
"Good night."
