Why do you answer questions out of order?

Most asks I receive are repeats that I've already answered. I'm not really keen on clogging my blog with repeat ask posts. Some of them I do wanna answer but require more social energy so it takes time. It's like answering an email sometimes.

Dance festival specific clothing for a region where thaumaturges and Mermaids live together.

A spin on a local mermaid dance, where they thrown each other out of the water and perform spins and other various acrobatics.

As years pass and the two cultures meet and costumes take different shapes, thaumaturges started trying to join Mermaids by extending walkable platforms across the rivers where they normally dance, started out as small wooden planks and eventually turned into elastic ropes.

The dance is formally preformed by 2 thaumaturges and 4 Mermaids. For the thaumaturges it involves stretching and pulling the rope be it horizontally or vertically, jumping swinging that sort of stuff. Movements vary depending on the music. They also pull the ropes all the way from one side to another to open space for the mermaids while they jump. Mermaids jump out of the water and do acrobatics as usual, but they use the ropes as well, to propel themselves but to also catch their falls. Usually a Mermaid is always left in the water to help their mates back up out of it if necessary if not they are with the thaumaturges on the ropes.

Both of them wear clothes with lots of small strings and fabric to follow their movements, there exists ocassion-specific clothing that celebrates a certain event/ocassion but they all follow the same principles of flowy garments at the extremities and middle of the body. They cant be too long tho, so that they dont get caught up on anything while performing.

Music, again, varies depending on the ocasion but its very similar to brazillian samba, theres lots of stuff happening at the same time during a performace so a strong rhythm is very important. Dance is normally not accompanied by vocals/lyrics but if it is its normally sang by the dancers.

Its so perfect! And not just because Solas=Pride in elvish.

You have Solas aka Mr Darcy, wealthy landed gentry, he is generally a bit of an ass, up himself and socially reserved. In the book, Darcy falls in love with Lizzie early on, even though he considers it an attachment 'below his station'. He proposes to her, never concieving of the fact that she will turn him down, because he's hella rich and above her station. Lizzie takes him to town on it and then Darcy goes away, thinks about his life choices and becomes a better person. This reminding anybody of Solas' regard for the Dalish...? His arc of seeing the people of thedas as real people?

Then you have Lavellan aka Lizzie, she is slighted by Solas early on and this colours her entire perspective of him, and leads her to believe things about him that she probably should have had some more critical thinking about. He proposes she turns him down while roasting him. However, in doing so she learns that he isn't quite as bad as stories have made him out to be. In the book this is the fact that Mr Wickham, who has been telling Lizzie bad things about him, is actually a bad guy and tried to elope with Darcy's 15 year old sister. (I could see this paralleling with the vallaslin removal or the reveal of the actual history of fen harel).

But in the book, the point where Lizzie actually falls in love with Darcy is when she visits his home, the grand estate of Pemberly (maybe Skyhold in an au?). Here Darcy is a kind and generous man, he uses sustainable farming practices, he is kind to his tenants and servants, generous to guests he has only just met, and he adores his lil sister. This also seems a good solavellan parallel because despite being a very prideful person, Solas is a very kind person- he likes helping people! Its so easy to get approval with him- just ask questions!

Idk where I'm going with this, I just think its neat! Also...who would be the Jane/Bingly equivalents in the AU?? Jane, perfect ray of sunshine, and Bingly with his massive golden retriever energy?? Or my fave girl and aro icon Charlotte Lucas...?

Wait...would Cole be the equivalent of Georgiana Darcy???

hiii! i just wanted to ask (bc im a broke bean rn) when you say pre-orders will close 4/15/24, does that mean the shop will too??? i was going to wait till next month when ill have extra $$$ to get a few things (i had my eyes on certain charms) but now im not sure if they will sell out... 😢 will there be a chance things can go out of stock??? i rlly hope not, but i understand if they do!!!

unless something comes up that makes me close my shop (like irl things or whatever) I plan on keeping it open indefinitely this time now that I have extra stock of a lotta items 👍

so the only thing closing are the preorders cuz that'll be when I order stock

for out of stock items, I'll be making orders of those in limited quantities when I order the preorder stuff after the closing date. so for example, I know my goromi card charms are out of stock so I'll order more of those mid april. so if there's something you got your eye on but it's out, then you can totally wait till I order more!

I don't really plan on retiring anything atm so I'll make sure I have stock of everything whenever I do reorders. I usually make merch orders every other month or so cuz I make custom standees n shit for my patrons so that's the schedule-ish

my mans mr knightley... the excellent host. Mr 'I will dance with Harriet because no one else is and that's mean' Knightley. the king responsible for, "if I loved you less I might be able to talk about it more". the og boy next door!!! when I think of the popular Austen man - your Mr Darcy, Bingly, Captain Freddy, those 2 stooges in Sense and Sensibility, etc my problem with them is that they're shit communicators and that's fine because their archs in their respective novels usually revolve around them learning to communicate their feelings, as well as not being dickheads. all fine and good, if you like you're grown men fresh off the learning to express themselves boat which I do not. Knightley is a grown man who does not lack communication skills like other Austen dudes. His arch, in my opinion, is a lot more interesting because he has to learn to hold Emma accountable as his friend before he could hope to be her partner. Pride and Prejudice is fun and all BUT it's about Darcy and Elizabeth getting to the point where they *can* be together without really ever showing how their romance could last. Emma as a novel is about Knightley and Emma gaining the humility, accountability and compromise they'd need in a marriage. Basically, for me, Knightley is the most mature of all Austen's romantic leads (not without his faults though) and that's why he's my no.1 Austen man and I will NOT be accepting criticism, thank you 😌
