to be honest, i think spider-noir isn't opposed to late night diner dates. i feel like that's something he'd really be into. if he got an egg cream or milkshake he would put two straws in for the both of you

AND MATINEES OMG!! he would do the really cheesy yawn and lay his arm around your shoulder and everythingggg, im meltinggg

B — beauty, what do they admire about their dearly beloved?

i feel like with noir he would really enjoy someone with beauty and brawn. someone who definitely isn't afraid to speak their mind. he admires the way you carry yourself when you speak.

C — comfort, how would they comfort their loved one when they're upset or having a panic attack

if you're upset about something, he'll definitely take you on a walk outside. i have a feeling he might sit you down with him to throw rocks in ponds (?) idk but that feels like him. he'll maybe think that having you let off steam would help in some way with whatever it is.

if it's a panic attack, im mostly certain that he would stick with you through the good, the bad, and the ugly (heh) if you didn't want him to see you cry, he would let you use his hat while he just pets your thigh and help you steady your breathing. the way he would press little kisses all over you once you've relaxed more im sobbing

D — dreams, how do they picture their future together?

he'll definitely want to settle down with you at some point in life. if you're up for it completely, i see maybe one or two kids and a dog, definitely.

he'd wanna live ideally anywhere you dreamt of, he'll follow you into the depths of the underworld im sure of it

if you're a painter or artist, he would definitely ask for tons of colorful paintings.

also would decorate the house with flowers he bought you, of course

he would definitely slow dance with you in the living room of your new house just because he loves you so much and wants to admire your beauty up-close :((

noir is most definitely a more dominant lover in a relationship. i feel like thats a bad way of putting it though 😭 all i think is that he would definitely want to be the one spoiling you rotten and just looking after you

his protectiveness for those he loves is insanely strong, he would do absolutely anything for you if you asked

F — fighting, would they forgive their loved one easily?

i have a belief that noir doesn't get in dumb fights. i don't think he would get into stupid arguments with you. he knows when to shut up and let you speak as well. he'll definitely be one of those guys who cares and respects you too much to be mad at you for so long anyways.

if it's something you did that upset him, im sure he'll take a minute to think about how he wants to word it then ask you to talk for a sec

Only read this if you want to cry 👍 no but for real it messed me up in the besttttt way like oh my god this fic is so excellent in everything it sets out to do – the POV of an Imperial chipped Cody is so tense, and the flashbacks to the clone wars and codywan’s developing relationship will tear your heart out. Tragic codywan my beloved!!!!!!!!

It’s not a problem. *** In which Cody spends the years of the Clone Wars dealing with things that are a problem, and then a little longer afterwards dealing with the things that are not. OR: A festering pile of loosely connected one-shots following the years of the Clone Wars, featuring (mostly) one-sided pining!Obi-Wan and Cody, who very much does not have the time to deal with his General’s shit on top of his own.

Honestly contender for favourite fic of last year, this one just has everythingggg the humour is packed in alongside the angst and the developing relationships so so well. I love slow burn codywan, and this delivered – the trust and the friendship between Cody and Obi-Wan in this feels so earned and so real, and makes the cumulation of their feelings at the end even more sweeter for it!

Every cold weather trope you could want, plus a few more on the side! This has great prose and some juicy scenes to sink into, the hurt/comfort is exquisite and the set up for codywan and Cody’s character particularly is awesome

During a medic’s first mission with the 212th, everything goes wrong. In the midst of it all, Cody deals with his growing feelings towards General Kenobi.

Very very good!! The mission here was very tense and the punches kept coming. Mind the gore/violence tags though, the author is very much not kidding about that, but I adored every OC in this fic, and loved loved loved how Cody was written in it!

The Raephens’ Gifts [8k] by @lttrsfrmlnrrgby

After the end of the Empire, after seeing the remaining clones and Jedi and a rebuilding Republic to something stable and close to real peace, Obi-Wan and Cody take some time away from their duties and take a vacation on a backwater planet in Wild Space to rest and recover. They sleep a lot, catch up on the last decade's books, go for long walks, and work to enjoy just being them, instead of Generals on whose shoulders the galaxy rests. They also make friends with some smart local birds.

A soft epilogue for my boys!!! I adore post-canon fics, and domestic established relationship, and healing and dealing with what happened in canon, and this is a fix it on top of all that deliciousness. Excellent prose and a unique set up finishes off this lovely treat.

Obi-Wan taking care of Cody hits soooo good, and this is a very soft get together that has lots of layers going on underneath. The contrast between how Obi-Wan deals with what he’s feeling and how Cody deals with what he’s feeling is sooooo much like oh okay I’m going to have shrimp emotions about this ship just thinking about it!

when ume hugged choji and said 'it's okay' I CRIED SO HARD i had to pause and literally tear myself away from the screen

also i'm about to yap y'all's ears off so cut for your convenience T-T

the top is a lonely place by default i think, and with the b/w thinking especially like you're either a winner or you're a loser. and the winner has power. obviously both ume and choji (and sakura) knew that

choji wanted to reach the top to be the most freest version of himself that he could, whereas ume wanted to be the top to make his vision for his town a reality (to put it crudely). and not even to bash on choji like wah wah he's selfish he only thought about himself. not even. choji liked the idea of freedom because it was fun, it was what made him and the rest of shishitoren smile, right? you can't smile if you're not free. and freedom comes with power (and strength). but because of this thinking, choji shackled himself, holding himself back. he viewed it as a race, something with a start and a finish. starting is easy, but what about finishing? obviously at the finish line, you achieve some tangible prize, a trophy of some sort. but what is the goal? (freedom) what was the end prize? (fun) because of this, he created this ideal that could never be attained. why? because he thought freedom was something he could see and hold on his own. his (empty) treasure chest at the top of the hill because he misunderstood what freedom meant. he opened that box on his own, there was no one else there because he left everyone else behind. so now we've circled back to what kotoha told sakura, 'you can't reach the top because you're alone.' choji was alone, he pushed everyone away unintentionally i think because he had this primitive desire to win. (i'm being so fr, in my head when i was at that scene i was thinking 'it was the friends and memories you collected along the way' when he saw that it was empty)

similarly, i think sakura also has (had?) this pyramid sort of thinking. 'i need to reach the top to prove myself to others.' he found value in himself by looking down at those who looked down on him, right?

and ume took this as an opportunity to teach the both of them that the top isn't meant to be beared alone because they were both trying to go about it on their own. ume reminded choji of his friends in shishitoren, how much fun they had when they did things together. how great it was to be able to share things (like when ume says he loves food but he loves food most when he's able to share it with friends). it was already familiar to choji (and togame) which is why it was so easy for them to see the error of their ways. and then ume also showed sakura why you needed friends. being alone puts you in a scary place. it shrivels you up and leaves you barren. you don't even recognize that you're cold until you're shown warmth.

hence choji's "so hot..." when ume's hands are on his cheeks because he was cold for so long that simple warmth was hot to him (atsui vs atatakai, sorry for the horrible romanization ;-;) i think

and sakura, like ume said, is a good person. he was just brought about in a really unfortunate way. if sakura had what choji had, sakura would've understood too. but he doesn't really. he views anyone and everyone as enemies, opponents he needs to beat (his first instinct when he meets new people is to raise his fists). i also saw some manga panels about how he learns to open up and accept others instead as allies and friends and :,)

i forgot what else i wanted to say about this but i'm starting to sound pretty stupid so let me stop there lol

but the ume/choji/sakura dynamic is so precious to me

and the idea of ume just walking around with a metaphorical watering can he calls his fists giving life to places that have long since dried up :,)))))))))))

okay back to the point at hand:

UME WAS SO BIG BROTHER CODED THERE I WAS CRYING SO HARD i know i said that already but the way he just takes it with a smile and puts a reassuring arm around choji is making me so insane

and then togame sun worshipper jo. the man that you are. the mask he puts on to pretend like he's the bad guy, letting his hands become dirty as he 'skins' his fellow members, acting like it doesn't hurt when it must have hurt so so bad. his pained expression as he beats them to an even messier pulp, pulling their jackets off of them. tell me how that togame is the same togame as the one who's desperately trying to fix the glass, to keep the memories of his shishitoren. 'keep smiling for the others' he tells choji, 'keep smiling' so that everything i'll do for you from here on out will be worth it. choji's eyes are dark and empty and togame of all people knew that. togame's eyes don't have light either, but that's hidden behind his sunglasses.

'i wanted you to be loved by everyone' like how people in the winter love the sun's warmth. shishitoren in an eternal winter when choji lost his light :((((

i forgot what exactly choji tells togame but when he parallels togame's words of something along the lines of asking him to smile again :,))))))

Oh where to begin!

Can I just say that the best part (at least my personal favorite part) of going to any theme park or a themed resort is those first couple of minutes after walking through the entrance!!!

It’s like you just stepped through a portal into a place that’s DESIGNED to make you feel like you’re at the center of it all. And in those first couple of minutes you are filled with excitement and possibility because you are at the beginning!

Also I’ll add that I love that the purpose/ goal behind themed entertainment is literally to make people happy. Their is so much love put into the craft of designing these places and if you look close enough your always finding something new (especially learning about hidden details and inside jokes designers have implicated into the artworks I’m always excited to discover those!!!)

Every time I have the pleasure to going to one of these places I study everythingggg posters, the floor design, murals, architecture, signage (even the bathroom ones!), merchandise, themed food and drink options, the background music, characters, plant choices, water features, animatronics (no surprise there hehe), lighting, how they handle transitions into two differently themed zones, EVERYTHING!!!

The fact that these places are meant to be enjoyed in company. If I could I would take all of my beloved mutuals with me on a roadtrip to themed entertainment paradise :DDDD

god i need hobbies 🧎‍♀️i like anything outdoors, so i've been doing a lot of outdoor sports/adventuring since i moved to a less-florida climate. used to play volleyball and gonna join another team EVENTUALLY. recently got into baking which is neat. i'm not good at it or anything but it's still neat!!

Scott Tenorman Must Die and The Wacky Molestation Adventure

★ Do I like this episode? Why or why not?

I do! It's a very good episode, and very funny despite being such a dark concept. It (obviously) marked a serious turning point for Cartman's character; pre-stmd Cartman and post-stmd Cartman are two entirely different entities. It's revolutionary tbh. It's so interesting to see the balance between childish, naive Cartman and cruel, wicked Cartman throughout and as his cruelness wins out. I also really love Scott's character because duh, he's great

★ Favorite moment?

Cartman gathering the kids to discuss his revenge and Clyde's like "... who is Scott Tenorman???" and then they just leave lmaooo

★ Least favorite moment?

Honestly, when Scott realizes what just happened to him, and he starts to break down. I genuinely feel so awful for him :(

★ Do I have an unpopular opinion about this episode? What is it?

Sometimes, I think this episode can be a little over-hyped, which I think is kinda unpopular? But I also understand why it's such a beloved episode. It really is iconic and I really do like it a lot so I can't really complain lol

★ Something I would change?

I don't think I'd change anything tbh! This episode is terrible, but in a good way, and it changed Cartman's character forever. It's honestly perfect as it is

Rewatching it, I realized there is a strange amount of similarities between Scott and Logan Bush from Bob's Burgers, who I also really really love (except, ya know, Logan's parents are still alive lmao Louise isn't that diabolical)

YES I love this episode!! I honestly feel awful for the adults in town lol but the episode is so great. The kids running absolutely wild and slowly locking up the entire goddamn town, the kids falling into Lord of the Flies territory after like a week lmao, Butters fully wanting to be sacrificed to John Elway, Mark and Linda just trying to get to Denny's... it's got everythingggg

★ Favorite moment?

"If I had one wish it'd be for Cuba to changeeeee" ugh I love it. The Year Without A Santa Claus is my favorite Christmas movie so this scene is very very very important to me

★ Least favorite moment?

When the parents all come home and Stuart and Carol are looking for Kenny :((( it's so cruel

★ Do I have an unpopular opinion about this episode? What is it?

I don't think so! I don't see this episode talked about very often tbh, but as far as I'm aware, it's pretty well liked and most people find it fun!

I'd let Kenny live because that scene with Stuart and Carol is really so heartbreaking kjfjkg
