Ibn Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

“If a person were to guide you to the road leading to a city you intended to reach, you would consider that a favor they have done for you. So how about the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم, who guided you to the path leading to Paradise? It is his right upon you that you send blessings upon him. Peace and blessings be upon him.”

Imām Ibnul-Qayyim رحمه الله reported that it was once said:

Isn’t it true that trusting Allah brings the peace your heart craves? Let go of the burdens you were never meant to carry. Place your trust in Allah, the best of planners, and remember that He knows what’s best, even when you don’t. Do your part, make dua, and leave the rest to Him.

the casual antisemitism within muslim social activist groups is so fascinating to me .. if your activism doesn’t include all minorities than your not being an activist at all — your being a hypocritical racist .

literally just saw a post on pinterest where someone was like “normalize being muslim and respecting jews” — the first comments was people saying “even after what those jews did to palestine?” or “i like the jews but not Israelis”

the op agreed with them saying “not all jews are bad!!”

no mention that hating Israelis on behalf of their government is fucking racist — nothing .

just indirect jew blaming and backhanded antisemitic ‘compliments’ (shit like saying they are the good ones) towards any jewish people they knew in their life .

to be honest i wish i could just … say directly to the faces of people like this ,,

your activism is shallow because you will give into your antisemitic bias as soon as you have a “reason” too , you tokenize and fetishize the only jews you know .

even when you are trying to appear all inclusive your true colors still show , you haven’t grown past your antisemitic biases .

in a way it makes me sad because for years i stood with the muslim community in america despite how much islamophoic propaganda was shoved down my throat from the media because of 9/11 ,, some of my first experiences in protests was advocating for freedom of religion for muslims in china who where being sent to death camps because of their faith ,, i read islamic scripture and watched hours long video essays to understand their faith more than just a surface level ,, i went out of my way to find and read books made by muslims on their view on societal issues so i could educate myself and be an ally to them the best way i could be — despite the area i live in barely having the resources to actually learn about anything other than christianity i still pushed to learn ,, yet that effort isn’t equal and it’s clear to see . it’s saddening .
