My review/thoughts on MOTS7!
This album blew me away in terms of the lyrics, sound composition, EVERYTHING in fact so I figured that I would write a little review of it! Listening to every past BTS album brings me acutely to a period of my life when it was first released so I’m curious to see what memories I’ll forever associate with MOTS7
Interlude: Shadow- From the moment the MV was dropped I was speechless by this masterpiece. It sets the tone for this album so incredibly well by setting up the parallels between fighting your shadows and being engulfed by them. This constant battle I feel is central to the album as a whole. The alternation between Yoongi’s whispered beginning of “I wanna be a rapstar” “I wanna be king” to the Agust D esque switch of flow at the end almost seems as though his shadow is talking back to him. It is as though he realises that he cannot escape it but must embrace it to emerge from it. And also his INSANE flow and fluidity of rap is just something else, this song was made for Suga.
Black Swan- This has got to be one of my favourite songs from the album, I was hooked by the dark, almost classical intrumentals paired with the urgency of the vocals and rap. I feel as though this is one of the most introspective songs the boys have ever written, with the analogy of the dancer’s first death working to illustrate how art is all consuming for the creator. The pulsing beat underneath the vocals and rap served as a reminder of how important it is for artists to have something that literally makes their heart beat. It’s rare when songs make you truly analyse not only the lyrics but your relation to them and Black Swan 100% did that for me.
Filter- This had me HOOKED from the first few strings and the smooth Latin beat made me imagine listening to this whist walking through a bustling city at sunset. Jimin’s vocal range and siren like vocals make this song alluring and addictive in a way that no other singer could have done. The lyrics are playful and confident yet simultaneously deep. Jimin realises how attractive his various sides are to millions around the world and he owns that, yet he’s also aware that what people see is mostly akin to a filter, not reality in itself.
My Time- I’m so proud of Jungkook for experimenting and creating different sounds for each of his solo tracks and My Time is no exception. His beautiful airy vocals echo and blend perfectly with the lowkey beat. The lyrics hit hard when you realise that Jungkook’ s time scale of life has been directly opposite to that of his peers. He’s grown up on airplanes while they took the subway and you get a sense of yearning from his voice, a yearning for maybe the childhood and things he missed out on. Yet there’s a sense of assertion, that he owns his time has been different and accepts his fate.
Louder than bombs- I 100% understand why Namjoon cried writing this song. It so perfectly encapsulates the sense of fear and desperation that arises from uncertainty in one’s position in life. Troye did such a great job helping the boys with this song because it sounds sonically like the pair of them together. Even though this song is one of the darker numbers on the album it is offset by the small hints of hope. Namjoon’s mantra that he’s going to “pray for better days” is so striking because often in life that’s all you can do when you’re breaking- hope that things will change and the majority of the time they do, so you need to keep that fire of hope alive in you.
ON- On is a certified bop and its so INTENSE with the drum beats in the beginning. This song is going to be amazing in concerts with its anthemic rhythm and the lyrics “bring the pain on” and “can’t hold me down cos I’m a fighter” are so empowering. I feel this song embraces the pain and hardship with the confidence of the rap and vocals coming together to say- bad things will happen but we’ll emerge stronger and surge ON.
UGH!- Even from the title I could tell that this queen was going to sit with her sisters Ddaeng and Cypher. I’m so incredibly proud of our rapline they SNAPPED, like the flow, the wordplay the artistry?? The gunshots immediately grabbed my attention and the build up the chorus which hits like a gut punch is EVERYTHING. The way they discuss anger is so pertinent, with the rise of social media people unleash their anger on whoever they choose whilst hiding behind a screen on anonymity. Anger, like they say, is necessary but only when it can be used as a motivator for justice. Petty cowardly anger, like that which is directed towards BTS, can only lead to pain and that is what our rapline so masterfully condemns.
Zero O Clock- This is my new healing song, the acoustic guitar and soothing vocals are like a warm hug. The chorus is so uplifting and assuring, just hearing the gentle refrain of “and you’re gonna be happy” is so comforting. This reminds me of curling up on a winter’s day and finding comfort in small things and happy memories regardless of the storm that rages outside. The way that BTS never tell you meaningless words like “don’t be sad”, instead they assure you that sadness will not last forever and that the metaphorical spring will brighten your life once more.
Inner Child- Tae’s solo track radiates innocence and I am so in love with it. The way that he accepts his past and the hard times he went through and instead of allowing himself to dwell on it, he looks to the future. The refrain “we gon change” is going to be so uplifting at concerts. Even though our boys bring us so much joy we have to remember they’ve been through so many trials in the past. It’s comforting to know that I’ve gone through struggles alongside him and we can both move on whilst still recognising that our scars are the reason we are here now and that they prove we are alive and capable of healing.
Friends- One of my favourites from this album hands down. This makes me so inexplicably happy. It reminds of walking home hands intertwined with your best friend after school, late night conversations and inside jokes that make you double over whilst still containing that deep and powerful love you share with your soulmate alone. And isn’t that just vmin encapsulated? I can’t wait to see they perform this live, the Stay! Hey! part makes me so nostalgic and makes me want to reassure them that they’ll always have each other and the cheers of us, their ARMY. The part where they acknowledge their relationship as soulmates made me BAWL, their bond is one of such purity and rarity and I’m honoured to even witness it.
Moon- Another one of my all time favourites from this album. This could be the soundtrack for a slice of life anime and it is so bright and cheery, like Jin himself. His sweet vocals and the beat fits the spring season so well and the lyrics made me so soft. The way he uses the metaphor of him being the moon and circling us, his precious earth made me realise even more how much his man ADORES us. How could anyone sleep on Jin?? He’s songwriting is so pure and his presence gives me such comfort and hope, you’re so much more than just a moon Jin. You’re our one and only moon.
Respect- Namgi you geniuses! The wordplay, playful banter and topic matter are so unique in this song that I knew that it could only be made for the two of them. Respect I feel at the foundation of all relationships, can you ever have a healthy and mutual relationship with anyone or thing if you don’t respect them? With their distinctive rap that blends and flows so well with each other Namgi discuss the concept of respect and what it really means in the modern world when people place a veneer over their actions and words so as to disguise whether or not they truly respect you. As artists all I feel Bangtan want is people to respect them, not idolise them, but respect their artistry and work and sadly in an world where people hold numerous prejudices this is hard. Kudos to them for exploring this topic in a way that is simultaneously light with the satori at the end but still very thought provoking.
We are Bulletproof: The Eternal- I was 100% expecting this song to be a hardcore hip hop track so imagine my surprise to find a song that made its way into my BTS songs I can’t listen to casually because they mean too much to me and will make me bawl in public tracklist. The gorgeously haunting melody, the angelic vocals and intensely emotional rap has me in tears. When they sing “We were only seven” and “But we have you all now” I lost it. The memories I have of BTS who were my second family for the majority of my youth, the times we spent together, the music that was the soundtrack to my life. The way they adore us and find comfort and hope from us... this song really made me believe that I’m going to love them forever and vice versa. It makes me less scared to go on the rollercoaster that is life knowing that I will always have Bangtan beside me.
Outro:Ego- I saw a post that said Namjoon looks up to his Persona, Yoongi’s Shadow looks down on him but Hobi is the only one who is at the same level as, and looks his Ego right in the eye. I feel this song is such a wonderful upbeat positive track that is so Hoseok?? The way that he accepts his fate and looks forward and is confident and happy in the person he is now? This is going to be amazing at all the summer concerts and it just radiates such joy and never fails to make me dance. The perfect ending to an album that chronicles the ups and downs of BTS’s relationship with their career and selves and ultimately ends on such a bright note of hope and happiness.

“Be” Tracklist Rankings
I had fun doing this for Blackpink’s album, so I thought why not do it for BTS as well. I literally just finished listening to the album, so these are all initial thoughts.
1. Dis-ease
Someone give Jung Hoseok his motherfucking Grammy. Like as soon as it started, I was screaming. Initially, I was like “ooh rap line killing this shit, they own this song”. But then I heard the goddamn bridge. Y’all, I cried. Like actual tears. This is why I’m in this Bangtan shit for life. Side note: this kinda gave me of “Dark & Wild” vibes. So if you’re one of those folks who for whatever reason think BTS peaked with that album, you’ll enjoy this song.
2. Telepathy
So before this album came out, I was really worried how Dynamite would fit into this. Like I really enjoy cohesiveness in albums. Anyway, I heard the first part of this song and it eased all of my worries. This song is sooo fun to listen to. Like I really want to see this live immediately. The only downside of this song is that it feels so short. It’s not, but it feels that way. Someone tell BTS to release a 10 minute version of this song.
3. Blue & Grey
Do y’all hear Seokjin in this song? Do y’all hear Taehyung? My boys killed it! I keep thinking of that one meme “it’s about the yearning”. Like the line “I just want to be happier” hits way too close to home. I feel some type of way.
4. Fly to My Room
This song makes me feel like I’m on a road trip or something. Like peak “staring out the window while on a deserted highway heading home” vibes. Like a couple years ago, I went on a road trip to LA with my aunt and my cousins and we drove this one area full of windmills. It felt magical. That’s what this song feels like. I initially wondered why it was so close to the beginning of the album because I thought it would be better suited towards the end. But I get it now.
5. Life Goes On
100% understand why they chose this as the single. It represents the album perfectly. It gives me strong Adult Contemporary radio playing at a coffee shop vibes. And the video felt like a GCF video with singing. Super personal. Like I low key felt like I was intruding by watching it. I really liked the end where they were all in the empty arena, sitting on stage. I like this side of BTS. One criticism, and maybe this was my fault for having these expectations, it did not give me Spring Day vibes AT ALL. Which is technically fine because we don’t need another Spring Day. But I wanted that same emotional impact I got when I first heard Spring Day and I didn’t get it. It’ll probably grow on me though, especially after the live performances.
6. Dynamite
This song has been out for a while. Thankfully I didn’t play it out before this album came out, otherwise I would have been sick of it by now. Like I said earlier, this song fits the vibe of the album a lot better than I thought it would. Musically speaking. Lyrically, not really. Dynamite did what she came to do and I appreciate her.
7. Skit
I have no idea what they were saying because I couldn’t find an English translation yet. But the boys sounds happy and that’s all that matters 🥺
8. Stay
To be honest, the beginning was a bit meh. Like I didn’t hate it, but it’s like Jamais Vu, where I never seek it out and will probably skip it on shuffle 75% of the time. BUT as it progressed, I think an EDM remix of the song would be pretty fun. Like if they ever perform it live, they need to lean into that. If it gave me more So What/Best of Me vibes or even Make It Right vibes, I’d like it more. Now I know that’s a controversial statement because I know a lot of fans don’t like any of those songs. But I do, so sue me. Unfortunately , it’s my least favorite. I mean, obviously, I ranked it below a damn skit. Oh well
Overall, I love this album. It almost doesn’t feel like a BTS album though, but I think that’s a good thing. I appreciate this side of them. It’s almost like their version of Taylor Swift’s Folklore. Good album, not necessarily groundbreaking (except Dis-ease and Telepathy are cultural resets), but a nice change of pace. And since MOTS7 was kinda disappointing (don’t kill me), so I’m glad BTS released an amazing album this year.

MV of ON is like the eye candy but I still don't like song that much.
I agree that the MV is where the production focus went. That is not to say they didn’t work hard on the song, mind you! The energetic choreo and art direction is catchy, you cannot help but look > listen. Worth a separate listen (!) without the visuals bombarding you. Spring Day has been so successful because the MV is subdued and ppl could pay attention to the tune. BTS’ music, and I find this funny to say, is suffering from good cinematography :’)
Personally, so far the only aspect about the song I didn’t like was the autotune at the beginning but that’s a minor stylistic choice. Overall, I find it pretty groovy and multi-layered. Trap beat, marching band, strong tenor voice focus, that ethereal JK bridge (angelic! amazing), another BTS-typical catch phrase (hey na na na), interesting combo. Something for bangers enthusiasts 😉

#NewMusicMonday
On Friday, South Korean boy band sensation that captured the hearts of millions across the globe, BTS, finally released their long-anticipated Map of the Soul 7. The latest album release marked the group's fourth full-length studio album. It racked up more than 4 million preordersㅡthat's 1.4 million more than its predecessor, #Persona.
#MapOfTheSoul_7, or #MOTS7 as some shorten it, has a total of twenty songs through which all seven members share with us a little bit of their souls. It's been seven years since they first debuted, and this time they open up their hearts and tell us exactly what the journey was like for them.
As the journey begins once again with "Intro : Persona," the Boys with Love (feat. Halsey) take us back to five stories they've previously shared. Come track six and seven, two of the three pre-releasesㅡSUGA's solo "Interlude : Shadow," and "Black Swan"ㅡpave the way to their new stories.
#Jimin spices up the album with Latin vibes in "Filter" as he tells of the different masks, or "personas," he's willing to wear to please the world and meet their expectations. Then, we hear from #JungKook, the group's "maknae" or "youngster," what it's like growing up in front of the spotlight. Having joined the group at only 15, to him, everything changed in the blink of an eye. Perhaps too fast that he hasn't had time to enjoy life?
The track "Louder than Bombs" was done in collaboration with Troye Sivan. With a dark R&B Sound, the tenth track talks about the silent pain they go through every day while declaring they will prevail and will still sing loud for their Army.
A day before the release of MOT7, BTS did a thing. They leaked a 30-second clip of the track title, "ON," via TikTok and within an hour the app was raging with fans posting videos of dance covers with the hashtag #onchallenge. "ON" has two versions: track no. 11 just the boys, and track 20. featuring chandelier lady, Sia. The song has a powerful tune with marching band-like percussions, carrying their story of fear and pain they face as they grow in popularity, and how their rapid growth to international fame is like. With each step they take, their feet tremble. However, it's too late for them to go back, and so with their strength and their fan's love and support, they keep going and give them their very best.
Following the lead track, BTS rappers #SUGA, #RM and J-hope deliver a strong, fiery message to their haters who always spread negative rumors and hate and yet claim to be righteous. The members are strong, used to it, but why must the world be filled with constant rage and live to want to damage others lives?
On a personal level, I relate to "00:00" the most. The group's vocalists Jimin, #Jin, JungKook and #V reflect on those days when we feel sad for no reason. Then, come midnight, we take a deep breath and feel "happy" again. We believe that things will be okay in the morning. Even in his following track, "Inner Child," V sparks hope about a promising tomorrow, reminding us that no matter how difficult our past is, things will change.
The last quarter of the album introduces "Friend," performed by V and Jimin who narrate their friendship over the seven summers and winters they've spent together since their debut. They sing about how they haven't changed and how certain they are about their friendship remaining strong in years to come. In "Moon," the sixteenth track, Jin metaphorically explains his love to his #ARMY fans, naming them his planet, while he is the moon who will always shine bright for them. In RM and SUGA's duet "Respect," the rappers discuss the meaning of respect and how people are hypocritical about using it so lightly while not showing respect for others.
As the album comes to an end, the septet recalls the early days from their journey when it was just them, their dreams and their hard work. Now, it's them plus millions as their fanbase (ARMY) has grown immensely. They no longer feel alone--they have the strength of their ARMY backing them up and singing that together "We Are Bulletproof."
Before the album closes with its final track "ON (feat. Sia)," J-Hope cheerfully takes us back to a remix of the first track of their 2013 debut studio album, "2 KOOL 4 SKOOL." The happy, energetic song walks us through the hardships he faced during training, wanting to give up, but keeping his hope strong brought him to where he is today. That is his, and BTS' "Ego," concluding the album feeling proud of their journey.
After seven years of growing in the spotlight, the boys feel optimistic of what is about to come, keep their past shadows as lessons, and carry onto the future strong for themselves and their dedicated ARMY fans. Map of the Soul 7 is their gift of celebration for everyone to enjoy.
What's your favorite song from the album so far?

Brand-New ALBUM REVIEW: BTS — Map of the Soul: 7
My review of Map of the Soul: 7 is FINALLY out NOW at ConcertCrap.com!
I hope my analysis of the lyrical side of the album does BTS justice, as I didn’t want to leave out the Korean lyrics in my evaluation. Plus, it’s my first-ever album review for Concert Crap, AND it’s the first time CC’s featured an album by a Korean group! Exciting times!!!
Tumblr media
P.S.: BIG THANKS to Bangtan Subs/@bts-trans for your tireless dedication to the artform/science hybrid that is Korean-to-English lyric translation! This ARMY would be lost in the shadows without your beacon of light. Y’all rock!

BTS (방탄소년단) – Map of The Soul: 7 album review
Tumblr media
(Source: https://ibighit.com/bts/eng/discography/detail/map_of_the_soul-7.html)
Release date: 21st February 2020 Duration: 74:52 mins Favourite songs from the album:  ‘Boy With Luv (작은 것들을 위한 시) (ft. Halsey)’, Make It Right’, ‘Interlude: Shadow’, ‘Black Swan’, ‘Filter’, ‘My Time’, ‘00:00 (Zero O’Clock)’, ‘Moon’
Continuing with the Map of The Soul series, Map of The Soul: 7 is BTS’s fourth full-length album following the release of Map of The Soul: Persona in April last year. Speaking with SiriusXM, leader RM explained the significance behind the title of this album – the number 7 was chosen as there are 7 members in the group and it has been 7 years since they debuted. He went on to explain that this album is a reflection of their time as BTS and covers the ups and downs they have had since debut. On the same day as the album release, the video ‘Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima’ for ‘ON’ was also released featuring the marching band Blue Devils and THE LAB dancers.
RM’s solo track ‘Intro: Persona’ is the first song on the album; it has an old school beat and talks about the persona (social mask) and the topic of “who am I?”. It has deep lyrics that make us question ourselves and enables us to go through the process of finding ourselves. ‘Boy With Luv (작은 것들을 위한 시) (ft. Halsey)’ is the title track from the previous album Map of The Soul: Persona. This upbeat and catchy song is a reboot of their song ‘Boy In Luv’ and is described as being a serenade for their fans. ‘Make It Right’ is the product of a collaboration with world-renowned artist Ed Sheeran. With a simple melody repeated throughout, this song is about their relationship with their fans. ‘Jamais Vu’ is an emotional and sad song sung by J-Hope, Jin and Jungkook and talks about being in the universe seen as a game. The next song ‘Dionysus’ changes things up - a hip-hop song infused with powerful beats and rock elements, there are references to greek mythology and it is a track that many listeners can get hyped up to. SUGA’s solo track ‘Interlude: Shadow’ follows which is a reinterpretation of the song ‘O!RUL8, 2?’ covering the good and bad things the group have gone through and the moment they face their shadows. Continuing the dark tone, ‘Black Swan’ is a song from a dancer’s perspective. With its dramatic atmosphere, it encompasses the feeling of desperation. The next song ‘Filter’ is Jimin’s solo which has Latin vibes. ‘Filter’ was inspired by the idea of filters through apps and social media and in the way people look at things. Jungkook’s solo ‘My Time’ is an R&B song that fits well with his smooth vocals; in this song, Jungkook talks about his personal growth and time prior to becoming part of BTS. ‘Louder than bombs’ is a down tempo song with poetic lyrics that speaks of desperation of sadness and was also co-written with Troye Sivan. The title track for this album ‘ON’ has many elements including a marching band which gives it an anthem vibe. The lyrics talk about dealing with pain and negativity and continuing to rise from it. ‘Ugh! (욱)’, a fiery track from the group’s rap line consisting of RM, SUGA and J-Hope, instantly hits you as soon as you play it and talks about their anger towards malicious hate. ‘00:00 (Zero O’Clock)’ is a soft track from the vocalists of the group (Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook). This song focuses on starting a new day and forgetting about any mistakes from the previous day. ‘Inner Child’ is a bright soul track sung by member V. It’s a very personal song that talks to his younger self who went through tough times. Jimin and V form a subunit together for the song ‘Friends (친구)’. An innocent and pure song, it perfectly sums up their solid friendship. The next song ‘Moon’ is Jin’s solo. A captivating song, it is about how the moon views the earth where Jin is the moon and A.R.M.Y’s are the earth, reflecting his love for their fans. The next song ‘Respect’ by RM and SUGA is a track inspired by old school hip hop. Together they rap about respect and how the word is used in society. Contrary to previous We Are Bulletproof tracks, ‘We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal’ is an emotional ballad song. Through this track, they talk about how they are incomplete without their fans but together, they are bulletproof. ‘Outro: Ego’ is J-Hope’s solo track which has a lot of brass sounds. A re-interpretation of their debut album ‘2 Cool 4 Skool’, J-Hope covers the complex topic of the ego in his own style and story. ‘ON (ft. Sia)’ is a bonus track of their title song which includes the vocals of worldwide pop sensation Sia. Sia’s distinct and unique voice can be hard meshed with the other vocalists of BTS in the hook and sprinkled throughout the song.
Reflecting on the past 7 years, this is BTS’s most personal album to date. Through solo tracks or in subunits, BTS are able to present their thoughts articulately through their own style and choice of music genre which only emphasis the personal stories told. BTS have further established their global presence through their collaborations with worldwide artists Halsey, Ed Sheeran and Sia on this album. However, their collaborations with Halsey and Sia are disappointing due to their lack of features in the songs. While both artists’ voices work well with the group, within the prospective songs, they were limited to singing a few lines here and there whereas fans possibly anticipated more.
BTS’s fourth full-length album Map of The Soul: 7 is available to download on iTunes: https://music.apple.com/album/map-of-the-soul-7/1499290546?ls=1&app=music

My Thoughts While Watching Memories 2020 Discs 1 - 3
Had multiple people ask me to post my thoughts and feelings about moments from memories as I make my way through the DVDs. Here are my thoughts condensed and definitely not all of them or over everything from the first 3 discs! 💜💜 Like I said before, I typed most of this out as texts to @1imstillme3 and I'll mostly be copy/pasting over here with some refinements and adds in. If you are not wanting to see spoilers for things in the memories DVDs and talk about moments that happen, please just skip over this post!
Disc 1
BangBangCon The Live
Tumblr media
Track list:
Dope
Boyz with Fun
Like
Just One Day
Jamais Vu
Respect
Friends
Short snippets of UGH and Zero O'clock
Black Swan
Boy With Luv
GoGo
Anpanman
Spring Day
Tumblr media
This whole first Disc was just the concert performance. It was amazing, as we should all know. My favorite performances personally were Boyz with Fun (Tae and Hobi! And they were all just having fun!), Just One Day (Jin and JK with the rose! the smiles!), the previews of UGH/00:00 (their voices, their engery, Jimin! Yoongi!), the units (i love them so much. Namjoon having a blast in particular and Vmin giggling at the end), Boy with Luv (the umbrellas!!) and Gogo (Jungkook! Their energy!). I'm bad at narrowing things down. Sue me. Also Jungkook laying directly in front of the TV with a giant smile watching Vmin perform friends and then comparing his pinky to Jimins as soon as Vmin get back to the group makes me SOFT. Hobi making bracelets for all the members over Vlive and then giving tbem out to everyone in between songs was the sweetest freaking thing. He is the sweetest man in the world. Protect him. Including ARMY in the group hug at the end was insanely adorable.
Disc 2
BangBangCon Behinds, including VCR, Rehearsals, Dance Practice and D-Day making films:
It was the absolute cutest. Bang bang con morning of interactions and how they all showed up to the set were almost separated by unit which was funny. The 2seokkook unit with Jamais Vu. And then NamGi and Vmin showed up at varying times together too. It was cute.
Hobi, Jin and JK are eating before they get ready for Bang Bang Con and they are 100% parenting the hell outta JK 🤣 worried about his sleep, how he is eating, if he is getting enough sunlight. "I told you to get 30 minutes of sunlight a day, it's good for you" JK just smiling and nodding along.
Hobi leading dance practices and giving advice is one of my favorite things to watch. Like 100% absolutely. And Jin worked so hard, relearning the choreo on his own time since he had to miss group rehearsals the first 2 days.
Jimin took charge a lot during practice with the umbrellas, it was really nice to see him working so hard to get the details right. Hobi stayed later than everyone to review details of their practice all the time and remember what they needed to work harder on the next day. Just main dancer things
Tumblr media
Jimin praising Tae for his idea to do BWL with Umbrellas and the different things he came up with for the performance. And then both Jihope reaching over to touch on him and praise him. It was so sweet and cute.
NamJin saying that their families were watching BBC together too 😭😭 all so precious. It is obvious they all worked so so hard to give us the best show they could. It was clear that it was odd and weird for them to do this performance for the first time without ARMY but they made it work. Yoongi kept saying make some noise anyway and Jin kept trying to include us in their conversations regardless. JK kept reading the comments and being so cute. I love them so much!
Disc 3
MOTS7 Dance Practice Film:
Remember the clip of JM teaching Tae cartwheels and how soft it was? What they didn't include was JK being junping when he saw them and teasing V by saying HE can do cartwheels and being like I can even do it on both sides. And then did some cartwheels and almost kicked Jin in the face 🤣🤣🤣 Suga also was so perplexed. He was asked what are you doing like 3 times and finally was just "No really. Why are we doing cartwheels right now? What is happening?" And JK was doing his cartwheels and vmin totally ignored him to continue doing their own thing. Namjoon also was asking why they are doing this right now and was confused. Lmao just Maknae line things I guess. But still that was such a cute moment with Vmin.
Jimin is so hardworking. So talented. He took charge so much with helping the members with things and with his solo dances here
Tumblr media
Everyone complaining about being stiff and needed to stretch more because of so much practice. Everyone expect 3J, dancers extraordinaire.
MOTS7 Jacket Shooting Film:
Jin should be illegal omg. He bodied this whole shoot. Every single concept. But Especially the first one. My goodness.
3J have so much fun together. It's not stop laughs every single time they do anything and they slay it at the same time. One of my favorite units ever. There was SO MUCH jihope in the MOTS7 jacket shooting video as a whole. Hobi was all over Jimin quite often.
Tumblr media
The pyramid photo shoot was the most chaotic thing I witnessed through this whole jacket shoot. They could not stop giggling. There was so much ass grabbing. JK laying his whole body on top of Jimin connecting at every body point, literally don't think he was on anyone but JM lol. Tae looked like he grabbed Jimin's ass at one point. Tae with his hands all over Jins hips. Hobi literally grabbing and shaking Jins ass. All the hands going everywhere. All the guys teasing each other, Jin yawning. Honestly was this just an excuse to touch each other? You don't need one! 🤣 Suga just peacefully perched on top of everyone else with no worries of being squished
Honestly this whole shoot was just them having fun and sharing their positive energy with each other.
Shadow and Ego Making Films:
When Jimin visited Hobi on the Ego set he said he drove 3 hours to see him. And got all shy when Hobi was telling him how good he looked and he was dressed so nicely. And Jimin said he wanted to look nice to see Hobi 🥺 All the other guys were recording for the album so Jimin couldn't stay long because he wanted to also visit Yoongi and then he also had to go and do some recording. They work so hard and Jimin still made sure he went to see Sope on their sets and you can see how much it meant to both Hobi and Yoongi to see him and get that visit. They both perked up and had more energy after Jimin left and they continued shooting. Jimin gave them so many compliments and told Yoongi how cool he was and the set was when he watched him shoot for a bit. And he brought them both ice cream treats. An angel
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sope were also so sweet and clingy even though they weren't together. Talking about each other and wondering how they were doing for their shoots since it was at the same time. Video calling each other during break. Getting videos from the staff of what the other was doing AT THE MOMENT on their set lol just the most precious bond 🥺
Black Swan MV Making Film:
Remember how everyone was saying jimin was jealous of the taekook backhug at the end of the black swan MV shooting? Or that JK was trying to make him jealous or that they broke up. Or there was some kind of tension between KM? Yeah, we get like an extra like 3 or 4 minutes of them talking during that part in memories and through that whole time, TK are just looking at Jimin like he hung the moon and the stars as he laughs and talks about the MV. How they shooting in LA and how cool Hobi is for shooting CNS internationally here in LA before. And him smiling and looking fondly back at the both of them. Jimin was laughing and having a good time but also he was exhausted. When it wasn't his turn to talk, he wasn't as animated, he was tired. If he made eye contact with TK, he looked so fond at them, and if someone else spoke to him, he responded with smiles. He was so obviously not upset and TK weren't doing anything wrong and JK wasn't trying to be petty. He looked so in love with JM honestly. We know how much he liked Jimins black swan look.
Tumblr media
I talk ALOT about my other favorite parts of the black swan memories stuff in previous posts. You can find them on my masterlist under "Jikook posts" and then "memories 2020" topic. My favorite moment from the black swan MV making is definitely the overly flirty way they were speaking to each other when Jimin was teasing JK about getting to go home before he found out that he had to stay late with JK to be his shadow. The way he used honorifics with JK and their tone of voice. The flirt level was intense. Lmao
ON Kinetic Manifesto Making Film:
Tkkrs speading a clip around of JK checking out Tae and making it seem like a sexual thing from On Kinetic Manifesto shooting film. Cutting out the before and after bits that are actually 3J all checking out and complimenting Tae on his temporary tattoos and outfit for the shoot since he just finished getting them done and finally joined the rest of the guys 🤣🤣 He was the last one out and made a wonderful entrance. His tattoos and outfit were striking and deserving of compliments. It wasn't a sexual check out it. It was a hype up session between the dance line. I loved seeing it. It also highlights yet again, the important of context. There was no full body "I want him" check outs. It was a check out of his new tattoos down his neck/chest and face. Which, understandable. Hobi also told him that he was bringing out his inner demon for the song. Loved it!!
Jhope while reviewing footage for ON, why did all the clips I see cut it before Jhope went "wow that was hot Jimin" after they saw his shoulder move. Jimin just yes, yes thank you. And them all saying that Jimin exposing skin would bring them in more views. Lmao the ARMY call out was NOT necessary.
Tumblr media
Jins jacket was not silver?! They decided they had too many members in black jackets so they spray painted his black leather jacket on the set!
ON MV Making Film:
Jin acted out his feelings of despair during the ON MV with the dead Dove by imagining he had worked super hard to get to max level 100 on a game and then his account was deleted and he had to start over 🤣🤣 Why are they like this? I love them.
Jin, JK and Hobi were the only ones shooting on Day 1. Hobi scolded JK teasingly to make sure he lays down and plays dead properly during his scene. When JK got to leave first, Jhope asked him to wait for him and JK just was like "what?" No idea if he waited or ditched him for home. Lol
Tae being the sweetest boy while everyone else ate snacks during JKs solo shoot, Tae went and delivered and hand fed snacks to the crew that was around and camera men and fhen fed JK a snack as soon as the camera stopped rolling. He was making sure everyone who still had to be working still got to enjoy the tasty snacks 🥺 An Angel. We don't deserve him.
Tumblr media
Vmin dancing and being so sweet together to show the young girl on set with them how to dance so that then she could do it with Tae too. He dipped Jimin and then dipped her and I melted. They are so good with kids. The smiles were SO BIG.
SBS Inkigayo Making Film:
Vmin accounts posting Tae tapping Jimins ass as they get ready to perform black swan. Jikook accounts posting JM tapping JKs ass in the black swan pose. Reality: JM tap JK ass, Tae tap JM ass, JM tap JK, Tae tap JM.... JK confusion 🤣 Vminkook ass tapping chain
Jin and Jimin bickering over the black swan inkigayo stage. Jimin teasing that he got a lot better but he needed to move back in time so thay JM could get in. Jin saying it was the stages fault because he can communicate with the stage and it told him to dance longer. Why are they like this?!
Please. Yoongi said the stylists dressed him up in a space suit and asked if they were sending him to NASA 😂 his outfit for Inkigayo week 2 performance lmfao
Taekook being silly with the choreo before practice and then convincing all the hyungs (with Jins help) to do finger hearts during the ON bridge part since it's the last performance for the show they are filming to show ARMY love. Everyone was trying to convince Hobi to do the heart thing on stage officially since it was technically their last performance for the show. And Hobi didn't truly get on board with it until Jimin did. And when I say Jihope main dancers and the unofficial performance directors for the Tannies, this is what I mean!
When they did the hearts for the stage, everyone laughing super hard at Tae's cute heart. Namjoon told him to do it the same way for the offical recording. And then giggling over JKs dramatic heart while he sings HIS heart out on the bridge. Everyone, except Jimin. Jimin looks so freaking endeared and fond watching that playback during JKs heart part 🥺 I melted. He loves him soooooo much.
Namjoon and Jimin talking about how sad they were that they weren't performing with ARMY is taking me out 😭 Yoongi giving Jimin his signature comfort smile as he passes by knowing Jimin is sad 😭 and JK coming up to rub his neck/shoulder briefly to comfort him. Omgggg.
Wow! Okay, so that's it for the first 3 discs. Obviously this isn't even close to everything that happened. I mostly just discussed what personally stood out to me. For more in depth stuff over some Jikook moments in memories, be sure to check out my masterlist. I'll post more parts to this as I make my way through memories if people want me too! Thanks! I hope you all have a wonderful day!

I think objectively speaking folklore should win just by looking also at how th general public seems to be liking it as well. Also on top of that the sales. But also like the weeknd album was received well altho I personally didn’t love it and other albums were good. I Also i think critically her album folklore was received well not that that rly matters cause when do music critics actually do research before analyzing an album. omg especially a korean one like mots7 or the album? Like if you read critic reviews you can see a lot of them don’t know the lyrics translations or what the songs are about
yeah i definitely think folklore should win 😬 but tbh i think the weeknd or dua lipa might snatch it (although i think dua has more chances for soty and there her biggest competition will be doja)
also like idk if im the only one who noticed lol but the grammys usually give aoty to a commercial success once every two years and the other year they give to some artsy record 🤔 folklore was both artsy and a commercial success so tbh i think her chances are not as bad as w lover
for korean albums, well the album was released after the deadline (and also although i love it so much it’s not grammys quality) + i so didnt like mots7 and i think its a very weak album so i dont want it to be nominated but tbh i think it might

Hey Dani! What are your impressions on MOTS7? What are your favorite songs?
Hey Nonny!
This has been sitting here for some days. Sorry I left you on read. I didn’t know what to answer!
So…. MOTS7!
On a scale of 1 to Ly:Tear… I’d give this one a 9.
My fav album is, still, LY:Tear. So, I’ll try and compare to that;
I like this one a lot. I had a few days of listening to it and biuld an opinion on it.
I understand BTS intention when they put this out. It’s a bold project, self-referencing. But they did it in a way that didn’t seem too… snobbish? Arrogant??
You can see that that’s not what they did. It sound a lot like they are finally putting themselves out and letting us see into BTS. This is a telling of them, of their story and feelings. It’s beautiful, but also so very sad.
Overall, I love the songs. I have to say that I love them more individually than together tho. One of my favorite things about Tear (and Persona, too) is how seamlessly the songs transition into one another. All of my fav albums have that.
So, because of that, the album seemed “messy” when I first listened. It sounded like the songs didn’t match.  Of course, now I  get why they were put this way (it’s 2 albums rolled into one, after all), and I got used to that.
Now… onto the songs. I’ll not talk about them individually, just my faves.
Under the cut!
Tumblr media
Ah! Vocal like SHONE in this album. They got all the favorite spots! (Now You’ll see I liked the solos better) Favorites in no particular order.
Black swan. OMG. Perfect. Incredible. Flawless. ART. It’s my favorite song of the album. Namjoon did a really god job with that.
My time: Boy. boy boy boy. This is such a great song for Jungkook! The style really suits him. It’s also a style that I really like so he gets bonus points (as if he needed that) Lyrics tho... omg. This is a beautiful song about what he lost when he became an idol. It’s sad but also touching. I like it a lot.
Inner child: This is the one that made me cry. IT’S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL! Most songs in this album are in the emotional side, and this one takes the crown. Taehyung’s message to his younger self is sweet, and touches the heart. I love Taehyung’s voice in it. He gives a light, heartfelt tone to the song, sweet and touching at the same time. He’s such a telented vocalist, no one can really deny that.
Filter: This is my favorite solo song. It caught my attention immediately, and I love it so  much. Again, such a sad, disturbing message (worse even than Jungkook’s), and so so so Jimin.  This is him in the form of a song, and mt heart goes out for him. Style wise, again, perfect for Jimin’s voice, and he interpreted it flawlessly. I love the airy, sexy tone he used. It’s really incredible.
Moon: Such a cute, lovely song. Of course they’d include a love song for army. This is such a good match for Jin’s voice. I love that it has such a ‘happy vibe, as opposed to.... basically everything else in the album.
Friends: Taehyung and Jimin apparently are the only people in the world to really understand the meaning of the world soulmate. This song also made me cry, because it’s just so pure.
And that’s the end the album review!!!!

" Honest review;; Dari awal mots7 rilis ampe skrg, baru hari ini ku dengerin full track nya😅🙏 *dont judge me pls* Pertama milih dengerin solo nya each vocal line & sumfah kepincut ama 'Filter' nya Park Jimin haduduh☺💕. Awal dengerin sih kek rada aneh, berasa kyk ini sisi lain dari masing2 vocal line. pas Persona kemaren soal nya rada mellow2 n relaxing lagu yg mereka bawain. Soo yeah pas selesai dengerin, i should get to used to this kind of songs from them😅😅🙏 *mian vocaline* NEXT, aboutt UGH!. Ukhe nya rapline ini daku kurang familiar juga😂 entahlah mungkin karna masih hype ke Tear ato gimna idk☹ sorry bae. WABP:Eternal? Hey!
I listened to Map of the Soul: 7 the whole way through one time, and I wanted to share my initial reaction. I’ll briefly share my thoughts on each new track (that is, the songs that debuted with this album rather than MOTS: Persona) in this blog post.
Once I have the chance to really take in the album, I’ll be sharing my full reaction to the music and lyrics in an exclusive post…

MOTS7 USA Stops Postponed!
BigHit postponed the US leg of the BTS Tour and it's A GREAT decision! Two thumbs up BH!
YES! I’ve been away! Cause I ain’t got no self-discipline!
*Coughs* so before I post my review of a Memebox product, I figured I should address the elephant in the room:  BTS postponed the US leg of their Map of the Soul 7 Tour.
Originally, I was gonna post something persuading ARMY as to why this would be a good idea, but BigHit beat me to the punch #ITookTooLong.
If you haven’t read the notice,…

Y’all rock!
