SHINE: Thank you all for participating in our silly tournament! The results are a combo of the Twitter votes, Tumblr votes, AND the propaganda you all submitted!

SNAIL: Alright, no more fuckin around. LET’S SEE THOSE RESULTS!!!!!

Rouge lies in a patch of grass, contemplating.

This Machine from Sonic Heroes begins playing. Rouge BOLTS up, coming to a realization.

ROUGE: OH YEAH I MISS MY FRIENDS DUH LMAO. if i win, I’M WINNING WITH THEM!!!

Rouge leaps from the ground, leaving her crown behind. She skateboards to the nearest Subaru Forester and hops in, putting the car in drive and speeding down the highway. She drifts the car and it’s really cool and very real.

The bat leaps out of the door and enters a house, crashing into her teammates - REUNITED! There's a sound of an explosion, but no actual explosion because the editor could not figure out how PNG sequences work in DaVinci Resolve.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Snail reappears and reads from the video’s Script.

SNAIL: “...This is where I reveal that this entire tournament was an elaborate advertisement… for a Team Dark zine that I made.”

Snail pauses.

SNAIL: OH FUCK I FORGOT TO FINISH THE ZINE

EXPLOSIONS!!! DANCE IN FIRE, a Team Dark zine comes out TOMORROW and will be available digitally for FREE!

i keep coming back to 'i was a functioning alcoholic til nobody noticed my new aesthetic' because i do distinctly remember conversations about how taylor seemed to be drinking a lot more and getting drunk at like every awards show she went to. and those conversations were coming from a place of concern and of hoping that she was alright and that this wasn't a problem.

so to then say 'ugh i can't believe no one noticed this problem i had' when i know that people definitely did, and on the same album say that fans who are genuinely concerned about a new relationship that you are in are just 'bitching and moaning'? what do you want from them? you're talking about so many people who do at least believe that they are coming from a place of care and concern, and you are totally dismissing them on both ends of a scale!

not to mention that her implying that since nobody (???) was noticing her ~aesthetic~ drinking problem she just stopped having it is a bit of a kick in the teeth to people who do have drinking problems and can't just stop having them, since that's not how it fucking works.

NEW Fairy Tail Indie Games!!

A while ago, Hiro Mashima announced a contest for indie game developers to create Fairy Tail game pitch. The winner of his choosing would receive 10 MILLION YEN to develop the game.

Well… Hiro Mashima ended up picking 3 winners and gave each team 10 Mil. Yen to develop their games. (Plus Kondasha’s Creator Labs adding money to the prize pool as well!)

Two of the games are finally about to release!

FAIRY TAIL DUNGEONS - A deck-building rouge-lite where you venture into the depths of a dungeon building unique magic card decks to defeat monsters.

Quick tutorial for watching TEOS if you're outside the US

Get the windscribe vpn extension (I use Firefox, can't vouch that it'll work as well in Chrome), you get 10 gigs for free that refreshes every month.

Watching in the best quality eats up data like crazy BUT all you need to do is get the episode playing.

Start it and turn off the vpn and it'll keep playing, just remember to turn it back on before starting the next episode.

If you want to play it in the background

Set it to the worst quality and let it play, plenty of data for that.

Amazon sucks, so as far as I know, you can't loop a show like a playlist. Keep this in mind because it automatically rolls into something else after the last episode.

I have it playing on my second monitor so I can keep an eye on it.

Obviously this means you can't really use your browser for anything else or you'd be wasting vpn data.

You can use incognito mode and make sure the vpn is blocked from running. Or just use a different browser. From a quick google search, it looks like those are simpler options than trying to run two separate instances of one browser.

Uh. Quick note for something that literally just happened as I'm writing this post. I think I accidentally let the last episode end and as the next thing was trying to play Amazon detected the vpn. A quick browser restart & going to the show by link in Mark's vid fixed it.

Scratch that apparently it didn't fix it. But I still got a good few repeats in so it'll work for some time at least.

the thing is, like, imogen is blunt, and indecisive, and impulsive. she's cynical, angry at the world, and seemingly much less interested in doing good than in holding on to her loved ones. she's hypocritical, incredibly violent one moment and horrified at the prospect the next. she's passive aggressive, on occasion. she's overly critical. she's scatterbrained.

and all of that stuff is very fucking fascinating, and so fun to watch, and core to what makes her her. but not only are those things not the totality of imogen as a character, they're very much inextricable from the things that make her sympathetic.

imogen has spent much of the last decade of her life in pain, and isolated because of it. when she wasn't alone she couldn't relax, having to keep tight control over her mind so as to not get overwhelmed or invade the privacy of others. because even through all that pain and loneliness, she still bore the responsibility not to impose on other people's minds. and when she fails or slips up or gives in, all of the distrust and suspicion she recieves regardless is suddenly viewed as justified.

which is not to say imogen is not responsible for her actions, or the harm she causes others. of course she is! no one is saying she isn't! but, just like literally every other person, her actions don't exist in a void but within the context of both her past and present.

analyzing that context and coming up with explanations of her behavior that consider it is not excusing her actions or refusing to acknowledge her flaws. it is not coddling imogen to sympathize with her even when she's fucking up. these are pretty standard ways to discuss a character you enjoy actually! it's weird that having a nuanced perspective on a character's actions is being treated as an issue!

That leaves May 25-June 11 (or May 29-June 12 if you count the 3rd RT campaign) clear for more announcements before the game releases on the 12th. I'd guess no announcement on the 25th so soon after the Heavens introduction, so at the very least probably something on May 29th and June 5th. We still need a proper look at the Piece Gacha system and probably some full teaser trailer videos and ads for the game like Shining Live had.

Likely also smaller announcements of rewards if certain milestones are hit for amount of pre-registered users etc, but so far nothing like that has been announced.
