First Look: The Audi RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition
Built for stealth with its Vesuvius Grey paint and black detailing, yet also shot through with a bold as brass streak evident in its stunning 20-inch bronze milled wheels, the new RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition is a car of contrasts. Limited to just 25 examples in the UK, this short-run addition to the RS 4 range is available to order now priced at £82,395 OTR, and features an exceptional standard specification that in some respects plays down the super Avant’s flared and muscle-bound stance, but in others renders it even more eye-catching.
Updated externally in late 2019 by the latest Audi design hallmarks, and internally by an advanced new touch-screen MMI Touch operating system, the RS 4 Avant is shown in a new light by the exclusive paint finish and distinctive wheels that set the Bronze Edition apart, and a number of key details help to complete the look. Starting upfront, they include a high gloss black finish for the Singleframe and front air intake surrounds, which are complemented by a matte carbon lip spoiler. In profile, black roof rails and window surrounds and matte carbon mirror housings also help to darken the mood, as does a matte carbon diffuser with a high gloss black insert at the rear.
The overlap between low key and high profile is also emphasized by the RS sport exhaust system, which is another additional standard feature of the Bronze Edition that replaces the usual brightwork of the two trademark oval RS tailpipe trims with black equivalents, and also amplifies the already strident soundtrack played by the 450PS, 2.9-liter TFSI.
Inside, the striking milled wheels are referenced by bronze contrast stitching for the black Fine Nappa leather super sport seats. This limited edition model also features additional Fine Nappa leather elements in the sides of the center console and the armrests, which are also trimmed with bronze stitching, as are the leather-rimmed steering wheel and gear lever gaiter. Carbon detailing is also carried through from the exterior into the matte carbon twill inlays which perfectly complement the contrast-stitched leather.
The Bronze Edition also takes on board some additional useful features, as well as some luxuries, as part of its standard Comfort and Sound Pack. This includes the Advanced Key system, which enables the keyholder to unlock and open the car by simply lifting each door handle without needing the key in-hand, and also brings electric hands-free opening for the powered tailgate, enabling access to up to 1,495 liters of luggage space by simply touching a foot on a sensor mounted in the rear bumper underside. It also adds a 360-degree camera that uses wide-angle lenses to pick up the entire perimeter of the car and offers a ‘bird’s eye view’ feature, plus extended LED interior lighting that can bathe the interior in a variety of colors configurable via the MMI. Last but by no means least, it brings an upgrade to Bang & Olufsen audio delivering a 755-watt output via 19 speakers.
The core standard equipment list for the RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition takes the standard car as its basis, and as befits a model in the Audi Sport stable that list is of course extensive. It includes everything from Matrix LED headlights and MMI Navigation Plus to massaging front seats, the Audi Virtual Cockpit with RS-specific screens and Audi Phonebox wireless handset charging.
The 10.1-inch MMI touch display is the nerve center of the latest RS 4 cabin. Tilted slightly towards the driver, the touch-sensitive screen provides acoustic feedback and takes over the functions of the previous rotary pushbutton on the center console. The driver can use the RS monitor to call up an overview of drive system component temperatures, maximum g-forces and information regarding tire pressures and temperatures. In the Audi virtual cockpit, the special RS displays provide information on tire pressure, torque, power output, engine oil temperature, lap timings, acceleration measurements and g-forces. A shift light display is also included to prompt the driver to upshift when the rev limit is reached.
The limited edition RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition temporarily expands the latest UK RS 4 family to four members. The line-up also includes the ‘standard’ RS 4 Avant, the RS 4 Avant Carbon Black and the RS 4 Avant Vorsprung, each offering a slightly different take on the superfast Avant theme that will suit enthusiasts who prefer to keep a relatively low profile, those with more extrovert tastes and those for whom luxury and the latest technological developments carry as much weight as cornering capability and pace.
Aside from the powerfully built Avant body, the common ground shared by all four variants is of course the formidable twin-turbo V6 TFSI. Offering 450PS and a 600Nm torque peak in each, it facilitates acceleration from zero to 62mph in just 4.1 seconds, and storms onwards to a limited top speed of 155mph in the RS 4 Avant, RS 4 Avant Carbon Black and RS 4 Bronze Edition, or 174mph in the RS 4 Avant Vorsprung. The high-output V6 impresses not only with its strong performance but also with its high level of efficiency. In the new WLTP driving cycle, it returns up to 30.7mpg,  which corresponds to 211 grams of CO2 per kilometer (NEDC-derived).
The power of the 2.9 TFSI flows to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system via an eight-speed tiptronic transmission which in regular driving delivers 60 percent of torque to the rear axle and 40 percent to the front by way of a purely mechanical center differential. Up to 70 percent can be delivered to the front or up to 85 percent to the rear in more demanding driving situations, during which wheel-selective torque control also intervenes, braking the wheels on the inside of the bend very slightly to give the car a supportive push into the bend and impart a precise, agile and neutral feel. The standard quattro sport differential with RS-specific tuning also sharpens dynamic response in corners by distributing torque between the rear wheels actively and in a targeted manner.
In the RS 4 Avant Bronze Edition, like its standard and Carbon Black counterparts, quattro agility and reassurance is delivered with the help of a sophisticated five-link front and rear RS-specific suspension that enables the optimal absorption of longitudinal and lateral forces. The driver can tailor the driving experience to suit via the standard Audi drive select dynamic handling system, which now features five profiles: comfort, auto, dynamic and the new customization RS1 and RS2 modes. The new RS modes are easily accessible via steering wheel-mounted buttons, making it easier than ever for the driver to set the car up to suit his or her mood or driving route.

What is HMI and Why Use STONE HMI Display?
HMI is changing the way several industries are run now. It is a technology that automates several fields and improves productivity and efficiency on many levels. The merging of humans and machines through HMI is simply the next norm in industrial automation.
Interested in finding out more about HMI? Read on to get a general overview of this technology. Also, we’ll introduce STONE HMI displays and why they’re among the leaders in HMI technology worldwide.
Tumblr media
Defining what HMI is
HMI stands for Human Machine Interface. It consists of a dashboard allowing a person to manipulate and interact with a system, device, or machine. HMI is often regarded as the merger of humans and machines for better automation efficiency.
HMI is also known as:
Operator Interface Terminal (OIT)
Man-Machine Interface (MMI)
Local Operator Interface (LOI)
Operator Terminal (OT)
The HMI presents visual information regarding a system to the user. The person, in turn, can operate and control the process by directly interacting with the machine using HMI software. Touch screens are often used together with HMI software for this system.
Information regarding industrial operating systems is displayed on an HMI screen through a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Icons, pictures, colors, and sounds can all be programmed to represent various operating conditions. The visual format allows users to easily interact with data needed to automate systems.
Some HMI systems also use other methods to exchange information between the human user and the machine. These methods may include speech recognition and motion sensors, among others.
Technically speaking, HMI can be used to denote all kinds of screens and systems allowing users to interact with any device. However, HMI is typically used in an industrial process context.
Tumblr media
Three Main Types of HMI
There are several types of HMI systems. However, we’ll focus on the three main ones used in industrial operations: pushbutton replacer, data handler, and overseer HMI.
1. Pushbutton Replacer
This HMI type consists of a central control panel with several buttons. Each of the buttons performs a specific function. A pushbutton replacer allows important machine commands to be centralized in one location. Several factories use pushbutton replacers to manage the operations of different machines.
2. Data Handler
Data handlers consist of huge touch-capable HMI screens where visual representations, graphs, and production summaries can all be visible. This HMI type is used for harvesting or gathering data from the various machines connected to it. The data can be printed out or sent to a hard drive, depending on the user’s needs.
3. Overseer
Overseer HMI runs on the Windows operating system. It uses a TFT LCD touch screen to display a graphical user interface. This interface is then manipulated by the user to operate, control, and manage the machines connected to the HMI. Overseer HMIs are also equipped with plenty of Ethernet ports.
Most applications requiring Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) benefit the most from overseer HMIs.
The Technologies Behind HMI
HMI operates based on a systematic network of hardware and software components.
Hardware Components
Computers and hardwired devices make up the bulk of hardware used in an HMI system. They are linked together so that operators can determine various process changes in their workflow and respond to them accordingly. Most of the computers and devices use touch screens where the user can view and manipulate processes in the system dashboard.
Capacitive touch screens allow operators to swipe and tap the HMI machines using their fingers in response to changes in process operations. Some industries use resistive touch screens in their HMI machines, though. This may require the use of styluses or more powerful finger touches to interact with the devices.
Other technologies such as voice control, gesture recognition, and eye tracking are also used in conjunction with touch screen computers and devices.
Hardware components serve as both input and output devices. Touch screens, for instance, allow a user to see operational changes (output) and directly interact with the device to manipulate his workflow’s operations (input).
Software Components
Special HMI software is programmed into the devices. This software typically uses Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) to create dashboards for controlling various industrial operations.
Furthermore, advanced HMI software often consists of various techniques and technologies. Programs used in HMI devices may have a combination of the following:
Machine Learning
Natural Language Processing
Virtual Reality
Augmented Reality
Internet of Things
These technological advances help ensure that machines can interpret human signals properly and vice versa.
Technology Behind Touch Screen HMI
Touch screens play a huge part in most industrial HMI systems in any field. From production plants to medical settings, touch screens are predominantly used to automate several tasks and ensure efficiency at work. So, how does HMI work in touch screens?
TFT LCD touchscreens are commonly used in industrial HMI settings. These touch screens are either capacitive or resistive. Either way, they display information through a graphical user interface. Such screens then collect information from the user by converting tactile signals from the user’s finger or stylus into electronic ones. The signals are then sent to a microprocessor who interprets them and directs the device to perform the needed action.
Pros and Cons of an HMI System
HMI systems have their advantages and disadvantages. Let’s enumerate them here:
Pros
Improves overall communication within the facility
Allows close monitoring of operational processes
Lets an operator initiate quick responses to smoothen out the workflow (as a response to machine alarming, for instance)
Reduces operational costs by eliminating the need for extra machines, cables, consoles, panels, indicator lights, and other monitoring equipment
Allows for an overall easier plant management
Opens up better applications when connected to advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things
Enables more work to be accomplished in lesser time
A cost-effective system in the long run
Suitable for both simple and complex tasks
New operators can easily understand the graphical nature of the HMI system
Cons
Security may be prone to hacking if the HMI system is connected to the Internet
Poor interface design may cause problems with performance and interaction between the machine and the operators
More expensive to implement initially; needs careful deliberation to determine the right HMI type for the business to avoid huge losses
Industries Using HMI
These are the most common industries using HMI systems:
Food and beverage processing
Mining operations
Oil and gas industries
Transportation sector
Pharmaceutical manufacturing
Healthcare and patient monitoring in hospitals and
Water and wastewater plants
Energy and power sector
Robotics applications
Supervisory management using SCADA systems
Automobile manufacturing
As you can see, HMI systems are prevalent in industries requiring multiple large machines and strict control environments. However, smaller HMI systems can also be used for small-scale industries for better work efficiency.

Distance - A KJ Apa one shot
Tumblr media
word count: 1856 warnings: long distance relationship, graphic sexual content, masturbation and dom kink
It had always been hard being in a relationship with someone who worked so far away, and although you sometimes wished that things were different, that you had found someone that didn’t work in another country, you wouldn’t change your relationship for the world.
You had met KJ through a mutual friend who had thrown a party at his house in Malibu. Your friend had a place just on the beach and you had spent most of the evening sitting by the waves talking to the Kiwi boy who had just moved to America to pursue his dream. It had escalated quite quickly from there, but so had his career, and before you knew it you weren’t just dating KJ, you were dating KJ Apa, teen heartthrob.
That particular evening, you had settled down into bed and were missing him greatly, messages had been few and far between as he was filming Riverdale in Canada, but those that had come through had been enough to get you wound up.
The last messages he sent you consisted of a preview of a photoshoot he had done only a week before, a black and white image which showed his body off in full form as he played air guitar. Then he sent the one that drove you crazy, a side profile where his tongue was poking out and his hand was around his neck, mirroring the kink that the two of you indulged in frequently when you were together.
You were drifting off when you heard the phone go off, and you smiled down at the text that come through.
KJ ❀: done for the night babe, wyd?
You licked your lips as you considered your response, and although you were desperately tired and wanted to sleep, you had a better idea. Instead of a message, you pulled back the duvet from your body and snapped a photo of you in his shirt, the bottom pulled up to reveal your hand pushed inside your lacy panties.
The call came almost immediately, and you grinned as you picked up,
“Hello?” Your voice was strained, your fingers dancing over your sex as you waited for his instruction.
“Hello naughty girl..” his voice was quiet but otherwise thick with lust, and you could hear him moving, probably back to his trailer.
“Oh hey baby..” you bit down on your lip, “I was just thinking about you..”
“I can see that..” he spoke, and the sound of a door closing followed, “are you being a bad girl?”
“Mm I’m just so turned on
” you spoke, a statement that was always true since he was gone. No amount of masterbation was enough to match up to the way he exhausted you each time you slept together.
“Well we’re gonna have to do something about that aren’t we?” His voice was louder now, laced with a lust that you knew was matched in your own voice.
“Are you alone?” You asked, and when he responded to the positive, you clicked the “FaceTime” button on your calls.
His gorgeous face filling your screen make your heart skip a beat, and you licked you lips as you saw that he was already shirtless.
“What’s got you so hot babe?” His thick New Zealand accent wrapped around the words, and you bit down on your lip, not truely wanting to admit it.
“That photo
your hand around your neck, your tongue out.. god baby I just want you..” you let a finger slip across your slit momentarily as you spoke, and he raised his eyebrows with a small smile at your moan.
“I hope you’re not doing something without letting me watch..” he spoke, and you saw the camera readjust slightly as he stood up and sat back down having pushed down his jeans and boxers.
You angled the camera so he could see you hand moving inside your panties, and he let out a groan, “take them off baby, I wanna watch you touch yourself in my shirt and nothing else.”
The camera began to jolt as his other hand moved up and down his hard shaft, and you did as you were told, eliciting a groan from him as he saw your wet pussy.
“God I wish I was inbetween your legs right now,” he spoke, biting down on his lip and letting his eyes flutter closer for a moment, “I want to lick your pussy so bad. Better yet, I want you to sit on my face
”
“Oh fuck..” she moaned as you slipped a finger inside yourself at the thought
“You like that?” He spoke, “you like thinking about my tongue licking at your clit and my hands gripping your ass holding you still?”
“Fuck...y-yes KJ god..” he smirked and you looked down as two fingers slipped inside of yourself, and you bit down on your lip “Show me what you’re doing baby, I wanna see you..”
Always having a flair for the dramatic, KJ stood and moved to the floor length mirror in his trailer, flipping the camera so you could see his gorgeous body and his hand moving up and down his shaft.
“What are you thinking about?” You moaned, your thumb rubbing softly at your clit at the sight.
“Thinking about you on your knees. Remember when you visited me on set and knelt right here babe? How you let me fuck your beautiful mouth?”
“Mmyeah babe,” you moaned, eyes closing momentarily as you remembered how he had gripped the back of your head, watched as his shaft entered and left your mouth increasingly fast. “God I wish I was deep throating you right now..”
“Fuck..” he moaned, and you watched as he ran his hand softly over the head of his shaft a few times before moving the entire length, as if remembering your preference for sucking the head of his cock first to tease him. “I’d lay down so you could sit on my face at the same time, taste you while you taste me
”
“MmKJ.. we’ve never done that before..” you moaned, and you couldnt take it anymore. You reached under your bed and grabbed your vibrator, pointing the camera at your pussy as you ran it over your clit.
“Oh you fucking naughty girl..” KJ moaned, his hand moving faster as you switched on the vibration, your moans getting louder.
“Tell me what to do, baby..” you spoke, “tell me how you want me to fuck myself..”
He smirked and let out a groan at how sexy you were. You knew how much he loved control, and it was hard to have that over FaceTime. Still you would do anything you could to make him happy.
“Slip it inside that tight pussy and imagine it’s my cock
push it deep inside of you and ride it like you’d ride me
have you got a mirror baby? I wanna see your whole body as you ride it out..”
You glanced around your room and licked your lips as you stood, moving a chair in front of the floor length mirror in your room, switching the camera around so he could see you on nothing but his shirt. You stuck the bottom of the vibrator to the chair with its suction cup, and stood above the chair as you watched him for a few moments.
“Hey..” he spoke, Snapping you out of it, “ride me baby
”
His words mixed with his gorgeous kiwi accent are enough to make your knees sink of their own accord, and you moaned out as the vibrator pushed deep inside your pussy.
“Oh G-god
” you moaned out and you saw him smirk for a moment before he sped up his hand movements, matching them to the way you were bouncing on the vibrator.
“That’s it gorgeous.. ugh you feel amazing..” he licked his lips and your fingers moved instantly to your clit, a movement that would ellicit punishment if he were there but he understood the need.
Just when you thought you were going to get away with doing whatever you wanted, his voice spoke an octave deeper, his dominance refusing to take a back seat even when he was hundreds of miles away. “You’re not allowed to cum until I say so alright?”
You whimpered at his words, already so close and knowing he would make you hold out.
“P-please..” you moaned, your body giving in to his dominance even through the phone, and you saw his eyes darken at the sight.
“No baby girl, come on
” he spoke with authority and even though there would be nothing he could do if you disobeyed, you didn’t dare.
Whimpering, you slowed down and removed your fingers from your clit, watching yourself momentarily as you pushed up his shirt to tug at your nipple.
“Mmi miss those gorgeous tits” he spoke, licking his lips as he watched you ride the vibrator slowly, eyes darkening as he got an idea.
“Switch that baby up to the highest setting..” you raised your eyebrows, biting you lip and flicking the switch, your moans overtaking your room as the vibrations drove you closer and closer to the edge.
“Oh f-fuck..” you moaned out, fingers moving back to your clit and moving it fast in circles.
“Don’t you dare..” he moaned, his hand moving fast against his shaft as he struggled to keep up, and you couldn’t hear him for the waves of pleasure that ran through you. “Fucking hell you're so hot..” he groaned your name, and before you could stop yourself you were cumming hard for him.
White spots lined your vision as you remained fully penetrated for a moment, and you flicked the switch off before moving from the plastic.
“Naughty, naughty..” he spoke, and when you looked back down at the screen you found that you’d missed him finishing. He must have cum when you did, and you wished more than anything you could have seen his face as he came for you.
“I’m sorry K
it just felt so good.. that vibrator gets me every time..” you bit down on your lip, pulling an innocent face you knew drove him crazy.
“I can tell.. I had to turn the volume down on my phone you were moaning so loud..” you blushed slightly, letting out a small chuckle but he continued, “Make no be mistake beautiful girl, you will punished for not obeying my orders
”
You bit down on your lip as you remembered the last time he punished you, how he bent you over his knee and spanked you until he left a handprint, how he kissed all over the handprint and your pussy after for good measure.
“I’m sorry Sir..” you pulled the innocent expression again, and he couldn’t help but grin. “Do you have to be back on set soon?”
“Nah babe, all done.” You watched as he switched the camera as he was cleaning himself up, washing cum from his toned abs and god did you wish you were here to help. “Wanna watch a move over FaceTime later?”
You nodded, smiling, “I’ll be ready and waiting for you..”

2019 Audi A6 First Full Review
The Audi A6 is the company's mid-size luxury sedan since 1994. Audi is the first generation of the eighth generation and comes with a renewed entertainment show and many driver assistance systems. Such as BMW and Mercedes, also comes with a digital assistant that can be controlled by voice commands. We will make it warmer in the cabin, thank you very much.
Main competitors: Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW V-Class, Lexus ES
Base price: $ 59,895 on the basis of proof: $ 77,290
Full review: 2019 Audi A6 unit first
Highlights: The new V6 with a 3.06 liter V6 turbocharged 336 horsepower and a 369-lb torque to the seven-speed automatic. A four-cylinder version will arrive at a later date, according to Audi. The rotary dial, which controls the MMI information and entertainment system of the brand, has been replaced by two tactile touch response screens that work happily with gloved hands.
We saw: The first impression of the BMW 5 Series, the Mercedes-Benz E class, is that it feels much more luxurious than the last car I drove. It's part of the wood grain decoration and the $ 8200 Prestige package, but it's about the ultra-soft power connections from Audi.
The updated V6 version of the Audi A6 is shocking, but you really have to crush the right pedal, even in dynamic mode. Otherwise, torque is smooth throughout revolutions. It is a silent mill without the noise of a large turbo.
Comment, on the other hand, sports feel more than expected. Our Audi A6 test device contains a sport package, which you specify a bit more, but this car never appears as floating, and the direction changes are fast. Again, the dynamic situation emphasizes things a bit more. The steering wheel does not contain many observations, but its efforts are more dependent on the sports side. The whole A6 package looks heavy and, as you can see, weighs about 4300 pounds.
Now we have two large screens in the middle and very few buttons. The only criteria are selection of driving mode, traction control and traction safety configurations that include some high, medium and low help forms. (Can not defeat the last fully, but press the drag button in the deep snow, then thank me).
This leads me to the following complaint type: Audi lane hugging the right side of the corridor, not concentrated. Most of the time is fine. It's better to be more right because there's a bigger vision there, but if the road edge is covered with snow, or if there's another car waiting, I'd rather be in the middle.
The other thing about automatic steering in general, but especially when we have a winter storm in Michigan, is scary. It revolves around a bend with any clear steering angle, which is slippery, so it concentrates and then loses the wheel sensation when approaching the outside line. Enter the car again, but you seem to have lost the address for a second. It is more pronounced with very heavy wheels.
But let's go back to the entertainment and dual information from Audi. The lower part controls the weather and looks slippery, but three handles will do the same in a simpler way. The top screen is mostly standard, home screen, radio, navigation, media, and the like, but it works with gloves, a great feature here. However, it takes some holes, it does not require a soft touch.

I recently spent 2 days with a rental 2018 Audi Q5. I'm impressed. via /r/cars
I recently spent 2 days with a rental 2018 Audi Q5. I'm impressed.
A rare dealer service appointment to take care of 2 recalls on my new-to-me E92 gave me the chance to drive something I normally wouldn't. They couldn't give me a loaner since I'm under 25, but they did offer to pay for an Enterprise rental. The majority of cars on the lot were bog-standard boringmobiles, except for a Beetle convertible and a new Audi Q5. I had to pay a little extra out of pocket since it was in a higher tier, but I went ahead anyway since I wanted to see what this whole "premium crossover" thing was about.
Styling: frankly, it looks like every other crossover but with Audi styling cues. Not pretty but I didn't hate seeing it on my driveway either. It didn't help that it was in Rental White. In the wealthier parts of my locale, I’d probably have a hard time finding mine since these are incredibly common (or maybe it’s just Baader-Meinhof at play).
Interior: this was my first time driving an Audi, so all I knew was what I read online. Every button and scroll wheel felt incredibly solid, though I couldn't help feeling that time and usage would cause tolerances to widen and they wouldn't feel so nice in a few years (Audi owners, feel free to tell me whether I'm right or wrong because I’m hoping that’s not the case). The only exception was the turn signal and wiper stalks, which feel better on my cars (more positive engagement / tightly controlled motions, but these ones stayed in place instead of returning to center so there is that benefit).
I really appreciated that leather was standard and that the seats were very comfortable, adjustable, and had 4-way lumbar support, and overall the control layout made sense and I got the hang of using them without looking fairly quickly. The volume knob is stupidly far from my right hand (seriously, why is it so far away?) but I just used the steering wheel controls. The gauge cluster and MMI are well-designed, though it didn't have nav and for the most part I just used Apple CarPlay so I don't have any deeper insights on the infotainment. I like tablet infotainment screens for the most part (shocker, I know!) and this one was as good as any of the others.
Features: I'm pretty sure this was the base Premium trim, but despite that, the only thing I wished I had was heated seats. Otherwise it had everything I would want, though realistically I’d spring for a higher trim if I was buying one for the slightly lower-profile tires and virtual cockpit, as well as some more driver assists.
Driving experience: this is the real star of the show. Before this, the only crossover experience I had was my mom's old 2008 Honda CR-V LX, and that was not a fun car to drive at all (though it had surprisingly nice steering), so my expectations were that this Q5 would be wallowy, top-heavy, and boring, but at least it would be smooth.
My expectations were promptly upended. This honking beast had no right to be as fun or responsive as it was. It was so easy to drive and responsive, and I was truly not expecting that.
Aside from being completely stable at high speeds on the highway (as is the case with all premium German cars), the body control was very good, the steering was precise (though extremely light, but apparently I don't mind that), and the engine and transmission were amazing partners.
A 252hp turbo-4 and 7-speed DCT made for an extremely responsive drivetrain that never left me wanting, especially since those are both things that VAG products are known for. Paddle downshifts were instant and slow speed behavior was extremely refined. It does 0-60 in under 6 seconds, which is good enough for me.
I took the car onto my local back roads after a rainy spell to lightly test out the Quattro system. I never felt it actuating (which is expected behavior) but I know that it was helping me avoid understeer before the limit and allowing all 4 wheels to stay in contact with the pavement (in combination with the all season tires, of course). I was comfortably driving this thing faster on twisties than I ever expected a crossover could manage, and I was actively having fun doing so. Not once did it feel top-heavy, though naturally there were hints of understeer as I approached its (reasonable for public roads) limit, but Quattro and a good chassis do their best to combat that. I can only imagine how much more fun it'd be with the adaptive dampers and performance tires, or in SQ5 form.
On the highway, the ride quality felt connected but not harsh, sort of like a BMW. Since I value a responsive vehicle, it's a tradeoff I can live with. The only issue of note is that it handled certain repeated bumps (expansion joints?) poorly by bouncing like it had blown shocks (it was a rental with 14,000 miles so it's possible that they were, in fact, blown). Somehow it had good body control despite that, though it was probably even better when new before any renters touched it. Apparently the adaptive suspension can entirely compensate for these sorts of roads, so I want to try that one day.
Overall, this car smashed my expectations of how much fun you can have in a crossover. It is, in fact, possible to have all the benefits with the downsides expertly managed. I want to try out a BMW X3 M40i next, because I can only imagine how much better that will be to drive.

Details: The New Audi A3 Sedan
The second generation of an Audi success story is here – the A3 Sedan. The compact four-door model is digitally and fully connected – from the infotainment through to the assist systems. Beneath the body, new drives and refined suspension tuning ensure a driving experience that is as efficient & dynamic.
Powerful and elegant: The exterior The front is dominated by a large Singleframe with honeycomb grille that is flanked by striking headlights. On the outside, they form trapezoidal angles that are drawn downward. In the top model with Matrix LED technology, this is where the new digital daytime running lights are housed. They consist of a pixel array made up of 15 LED segments that can be actuated individually and give the various versions of the A3 Sedan a specific signature.
With the A3 Sportback, the body line running above the sill rises towards the rear lights before the rear wheel arch, thus accentuating the short rear end. The body line on the Sedan, by contrast, extends up to the rear bumper. This emphasizes its length – 15 centimeters (5.9 in) longer than the Sportback – and gives the flank an elegant appearance. The concave surface under the broad body shoulder further accentuates the quattro blisters and the sill. This creates an intensive play of light and shadow. The roof line slopes down from the B-pillar dynamically – just like on a coupĂ© – and finishes in a striking spoiler on the tailgate. Optionally available in carbon, this provides a visual accent and, in so doing, emphasizes the powerful appearance of the four-door model.
Streamlined body The aerodynamics benefit from the higher rear end compared with the predecessor as well as the large diffuser. As a result, the new A3 Sedan with the 2.0 TDI 110 kW (150 PS) achieves a Cd value of 0.25 and is therefore 0.04 Cd points better than the first generation. The controllable cooling-air inlet with two electrically actuated louver modules behind the Singleframe also contribute to this. They regulate the flow of air intelligently and according to the situation. In addition, the paneled underbody, the exterior mirrors with improved aerodynamics, and the active brake cooling reduce air resistance and make for a streamlined vehicle.
Focused and digitalized: The cockpit The cockpit of the A3 Sedan is entirely focused on the driver. This begins with the interior design and ends with the display and control elements. Thus, the instrument panel with the central MMI touch display is inclined slightly toward the driver. It has a 10.1-inch diagonal and is intuitive to operate. As standard, it includes handwriting detection as well as natural language control that can optionally draw on the capabilities of the cloud. The 10.25-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel is digital even in the basic model. As the Audi virtual cockpit plus, it measures 12.3 inches and offers three different views, including sporty graphics with inclined digits and a particularly dynamic layout. The RPM and speed are shown here as bar diagrams with angular red graphical elements. Upon request, a head-up display complements the display concept, whereby it projects important information onto the windshield in the driver’s direct field of vision. Highly connected: From infotainment to driver assistance The top infotainment system in the new A3 Sedan is the MMI Navigation plus, which uses the third-generation modular infotainment platform (MIB 3). The MIB 3 boasts computing power ten times higher than in the predecessor model, connects the car via LTE Advanced speed, and connects the smartphones of the passengers to the Internet via Wi-Fi hotspot. The MMI Navigation plus offers a multitude of Audi connect services as standard, including online traffic information, news, and additional information such as photos, opening times, and user reviews relating to points of interest.
Car-to-X services that make use of the swarm intelligence of the Audi fleet are also part of the portfolio. They report hazardous areas or speed limits, for example, to vehicles with the corresponding equipment or find free parking spaces at the side of the road. If the car is switched off, the myAudi app continues navigation from the car on a smartphone. This way, customers reaches their destination directly.
The A3 Sedan is also connected to the smartphone via the Audi smartphone interface, which integrates iOS and Android cell phones with Apple Car Play and Android Auto in the MMI, as well as via Audi phone box. The latter connects the device to the car antenna and can charge it inductively. What is more, the A3 Sedan can be locked and unlocked as well as started via an Android smartphone with the Audi connect key. Personalization allows up to six users to store their preferred settings in individual profiles, including those for the seat, climate control and media. The DAB+ digital radio comes as standard. Options include online radio and the hybrid radio, which automatically switches between FM, DAB, and the online stream depending on a station’s signal strength, thus ensuring optimum reception. Beginning in the middle of the year, the Amazon Alexa voice assistant will complement the offering.
The driver assist systems are also particularly effective thanks to the close networking. In the Audi pre sense front system, the camera behind the interior mirror works together with the front radar to prevent accidents, or at least reduce their severity. The standard collision avoidance assist also uses the data from this sensor system. Adaptive cruise assist, an innovation from the full-size class, supports drivers with longitudinal and lateral guidance. The efficiency assist notifies them when it would be sensible to take their foot off the accelerator. To do so, it evaluates information including the navigation data. The exit warning, the cross-traffic assist and the surround view cameras that will follow shortly after the market launch are also useful in in urban traffic.
Three engines at ramp-up: The drives
The new A3 Sedan is available with a choice of two TFSI engines and one TDI engine at launch. One thing they all have in common is high efficiency. The 35 TFSI, a 1.5-liter direct injection engine, produces 110 kW (150 PS) and is available in two versions – with a newly developed six-speed manual transmission (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 5.0 – 4.7 (47.0 – 50.0 US mpg)*; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 114 – 108 (183.5 – 173.8 g/mi)*) and with a quick-shifting seven-speed S tronic (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 4.9 – 4.7 (48.0 – 50.0 US mpg)*; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 113 – 107 (181.9 – 172.2 g/mi)*).
Besides the cylinder on demand technology, the powertrain in conjunction with the S tronic dual-clutch transmission uses a 48-volt mild hybrid system. It recovers energy during deceleration, supports the engine with up to 50 Nm (36.9 lb-ft) of torque when driving off and accelerating from low engine speeds and allows the A3 Sedan to coast with the engine switched off in many situations. In everyday driving, it reduces consumption by up to 0.4 liters (0.1 US gal) per 100 kilometers (62.1 mi).
The 2.0 TDI with 110 kW (150 PS) (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 3.9 – 3.6 (60.3 – 65.3 US mpg)*; combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 101 – 96 (162.5 – 154.5 g/mi)*) also works in conjunction with a seven-speed S tronic, whereby gear shifts are performed via a new switch using shift-by-wire technology.
Comfortable and dynamic at once: The suspension The suspension of the new A3 Sedan has been tuned to be sporty and harmonious – a touch more precise than in the predecessor model. To a large degree, this precision and reaction speed is thanks to the central dynamic handling system that ensures optimal interaction between all the components relevant to the transverse dynamics. As an alternative to the standard setup, there is a sport suspension and a suspension with controlled dampers. The latter offers a wide spread between highly comfortable roll motion and agile handling. The Audi drive select dynamic handling system also allows the driver to experience different levels of suspension tuning in their A3 Sedan – from comfort-oriented and distinctly dynamic right through to particularly fuel-efficient. This also brings about changes in the characteristics of the throttle response and the progressive steering, for example, which varies its ratio depending on the steering angle.
Prices and market launch Presales of the new A3 Sedan will begin at the end of April 2020 in Germany and many other European markets. Deliveries will commence in the summer. Prices for the 35 TFSI with 110 kW (150 PS) start at EUR 29,800. Shortly after the market launch, an entry-level gasoline engine will follow with a list price of EUR 27,700.

How to Prepare for a Medical Interview – Online Medical Interview Course by iCanMed
Whether you have been invited to the panel, conversational, traditional, or MMI for medical university, the key to performing well is to be well prepared. In this article we will tell you everything you need to know to succeed in your medical school interview and how to prepare for the UCAT test, from the day you receive the interview invitation to the interview itself & after. There are a few tips for online medical interview preparation –
Get in touch with iCanMed’s Medical & UCAT preparation course
The very first thing you need to do in preparing for your medical interview is enrolled yourself in iCanMed’s online medical interview preparation and UCAT preparation courses immediately. You have to quickly respond to your medical application as no one likes to be kept waiting, and given the volume of candidates most interview committees need to process, their time is particularly short & strained. Assuming you are grateful for the opportunity when you hear back from the medical universities, you owe it to them to be as prompt as possible. If you do not respond promptly, you will give an impression that you are not particularly interested in the medical program.
Do mock interviews & medical interview practice with iCanMed
Take help from iCanMed’s experienced teachers to do a mock interview. Try to simulate the exact real thing as well as you can. You have to do at least 2-3 mock medical interview tests before you go into your medical interview. In addition to the mock interview tests, you have to make sure that you are comfortable talking about yourself. You have to be well aware of your personality, accomplishments, tendencies, & experiences. Strangely enough, sometimes talking about yourself can be the hardest part of your interview.
Rely on Medical Interview Question by iCanMed
Practice questions are certainly a good start, but the most appreciated practice is to go through real-life mock interviews. Mock interviews offer the closest experience you can get to the actual interview and are consequently the best at bringing out real emotions you will experience which include stress, fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. The goal is to get these emotions under control through preparation, familiarize yourself with the interview format, and get personalized feedback on what to work on. For example, if you are nervous driving on the highway & only do it once every year, then you will probably always be nervous driving on the highway. But, if you slowly introduce yourself to highway driving, increasing frequency, & duration over time, you will likely overcome the stress & anxiety you initially experienced. Practice & repetition standardize stressful experiences like this.
A lot of the fear & anxiety which candidates experience during the medical interview comes from – not knowing what to expect, not knowing if they will perform well, and not knowing what questions they'll be asked. iCanMed’s Mock interviews with expert feedback can reduce & eliminate these fears & unknowns. Our excellent realistic mock interviews with expert’s personalized feedback will let you know exactly how you come across & give you proper insight into the strengths & qualities of your responses. This feedback can help you identify the weaknesses, help you structure your answers, & most significantly offer you the adaptable strategy for nearly any type of question.

Audi’s latest infotainment system is a smarter driving companion
Audi’s latest infotainment system is a smarter driving companion
In addition to tricking your brain, the new infotainment system, called MMI Touch Response, has done away with the rotary dial found on the previous version; there are now two displays instead of one. The top 10.1-inch main screen handles navigation, media and most of the car’s settings and the new, smaller 8.6-inch display takes
