Super excited about this one. Bottleneck Blues Band had the privilege of being the first track played on the radio show. The link takes you to the official radio show page. Scroll down and play the show titled “14th January 2015 -Dave Watkins Blues and Roots”. You can now hear it as often as you like! Please share this with your music loving friends. It’s a great show that features a lot of not so well known artists playing all kinds of blues. Get yourself something to eat, drink, and get comfortable. Your ears will be happy and your toes will be tapping! Tune in every Wednesday 8:00PM United Kingdom time (so you may have to do a little math to find out when it will be playing in your area -you can always wait for the stream to become available, but you will miss out on the cool social club that happens on Facebook). Enjoy!

How the band was formed as told by Noah Bell
Tumblr media
The creation of Bottleneck:
When Dave Cushman and I were beginning the band we practiced some standard tune for a few weeks and then recorded them and listened back to see how good our blues sounded. It sounded like shit. We asked ourselves what was wrong. We were overplaying everything because we were such great musicians. So we decided to remove all the extra stuff we were adding to the music and play just the bare bones. We had to hold back. It was hard because some of the tunes were extremely simple and there wasn’t a lot going on. We tried recording again and when we listened do you know what we heard? The blues! Bottleneck Blues Band was born.

"Twenty First Century Blues"
Bottleneck Blues Band has released their premier CD titled "Twenty First Century Blues". The band has a groove, a funk that is red hot that pays homage to the greats but allows their own sound to envelop you. The band fills dance floors and has been known to play for three hours straight. The group originally started as a side project in 2008 and is slowly becoming a phenomenon. Bottleneck Blues Band is no longer a "best kept secret in Portland, Oregon". Songs have been featured on local radio stations as well as stations around the globe.
