Redwing Claymore - Valstrax Greatsword

I didn’t play MHGenU, so I was really excited to fight Valstrax in MHRise! I’ve always thought Valstrax looked out of place in Monster Hunter because of his rocket propeller wings, but his fight definitely didn’t disappoint! 💕 Looking forward to sculpt more of his weapons! Neon red paint proved very useful to highlight the reddish aura on the blade.

Yeah her armour set isn't the best looking in my opinion. But she's a good monster who can stand up against Tigrex! I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if she could hold her own against Deviljho honestly. And it's nice to see large mammalian-like monsters in Monster hunter.

Plus she's got a good theme too.

Is it just me or does Capcom know how to establish a threatening presence in the monster hunter games. From the introducing cutscenes of Gammoth in genU all the way to the time you first set your sights on Nergigante in World. You see these monsters and think “Holy shit” if it’s your first game. Even Diablos in world is established with a cutscene that shows off it’s physical form and as it’s horns pierce the falling sand you’re just there. The cutscene for Dalamadur gives you a shot of it’s enormous size and the first sighting of Shara has it appear to swallow up Ruiner Nergigante. Then to establish Alatreon in world, they take you to Safi Jiiva’s area and freezes it in its entirety only to melt all of the ice and demolish your hunting party.
