Meet the Hoggards.

A peasant family of swineherds. The household includes elderly couple Varn and Helna, their son Greygor and his wife Nysah, and their youngest son, Eddard.

As they enter their twilight years, Varn and Helna are eager to become grandparents and see their lineage continue. Greygor and Nysah are ready to grow their family and welcome their first child. Likewise, Eddard is focused on finding a wife to share his future with.

There is also, Dougas Hoggard, but as second adult male, he must move out and start his own household as per MCC rules. We will be seeing more of him later on.

Year 1 - Spring - Bouldre (Peasant Miners)

After his daughter passed away, Harald Bouldre has been a nervous wreck. He's trying to keep it together for his grandchildren, but it's not been easy. Luckily he has his brother, Thori, around to help out.

Thori was always the better miner of the two of them, and he's taken Nigel under his wing now the boy's old enough to start working. He's a strong, healthy lad with a knack for finding interesting shiny things, and he gets along well with his great uncle Thori. They're like two peas in a pod!

Nigel's also been very close to a certain Finley Dowrick, a peasant fisherman. His granddad wants him to spend more time with girls, find himself a future wife, but Nigel's not so sure about girls or marriage. Why not stay a bachelor, like his cool uncle?

His younger sister Leofe got plenty of attention. She actually learned all of her toddler skills before aging up at the end of the season, which I almost never manage. She's got the eccentric and insane traits, so should be quite a character...

Between the three of them, they were able to dig up plenty of ore, although they had trouble finding buyers. Those snooty Mondegreens seem to be the only family in the village wth any real coin! Well, the other peasants will earn some more money once I play them. For now, most of the goods got sold to "merchants overseas". At least they had no trouble meeting their tax requirements!

Y'all Scuffed MCC is living rent free in my mind. I've watched Phil's, Jimmy's, and Joel's povs so far and I want to cry every time we hit Dodgebolt. IT'S SO WHOLESOME I JUST CANT. The way they all hop into VC with each other and IMMEDIATELY start supporting each other even though they've been on opposite teams the entire rest of the time. Sam without hesitation telling Scott to shoot him as soon as he figures it out. Jimmy being so supportive and happy for Oli the entire time. I just. This was Wholesome Empires Family MCC and I am LIVING FOR IT.

Lydia passed away from death by rabbit of all things!

I don’t know why I didn’t think about them being such a danger! Esme had befriended all of the rabbits in her garden - but leaving some of the family to the risk of neighbourhood stories takes our first life at a young age!

You can probably tell that MCC dropped this bomb on me when I was planning Reed, Kana and Cara’s wedding. I missed the notification that Lydia passed away and had to dig into the family tree to find her fate. 

Well - goodbye to Lydia (Strauss) Quick - vampire turned human who seized every opportunity to live her life and make her own decisions!)

Meet the Fishburnes

A peasant family of fishers. The household consists of patriarch Morsh, his mother Dorthy, and his three children from his late wife: Bron, Bryna and Brealla.

The family is still mourning the recent loss of the wife. Morsh, the father, fears facing parenthood without his beloved by his side, yet he is determined to care for his children as best he can, with the support of his elderly mother.
