The absolute most difficult thing about translating anything Guilty Gear is that I'm so in it for Sol Badguy and Sol Badguy alone that once I get past the Sol parts I have to trick and deceive the willful beast in my mind into doing the non-Sol parts or otherwise the document will just sit there unfinished rofl

9 People to Know Better (except I'm not tagging 9 people)
I don't normally do tag games, but I got tagged in this twice (by @jealous-kippen and @remmixx, my beloveds <3) so here I am! (also as I'm writing this out I am realizing that while both posts were titled the same way, it looks like they had different question prompts??? So I'm just gonna combine the two)
Favorite Color: Purple! Any shade will have my heart but I am partial to more red-toned purples. (PV, if that means anything to anyone who sees this other than me, you know who you are)
Currently Reading: Three things! In terms of actual books, I've been slowly making my way through the Riordanverse since my university did The Lightning Thief in my second year (first school in my state to do it once the rights were released!) since I somehow never got into Percy Jackson as a kid, and I'm currently on Son of Neptune. I'm also one like my third or fourth re-read of Eurydice by Sara Ruhl, since that's the play I'm designing the costumes for for my senior project. And in terms of fanfic, I woke up to a notification about this yesterday and Actually Screeched.
Last Song: Dial Drunk by Noah Kahan (ft. Post Malone), which was a bit of an accident. I use siri to request music while I'm driving and I asked for Dial Drunk and was singing along until I got jumpscared by the slight difference before Post Malone's verse. Although if you look at my spotify, the ROTPL album has been on repeat for weeks.
Currently Watching (Series): I've been hyperfixated on ROTPL and have watched it over a dozen times at this point, which is probably not healthy, so I put on NCIS last night for background noise while I ate dinner and accidentally watched like six episodes.
Currently Watching (Movie): Saw the Barbie movie the night before the actual opening with my coworkers (We don't cross picket lines people! I was not asked nor invited by any company, and I paid full price for my ticket. There's a one-screen theatre in the town where I'm doing summer stock, this relic from the 50's, and they were able to get access to the film a day early and did a special first come first serve premiere.) and we all sobbed the entire way through.
Current Obsession: Rise of the Pink Ladies. Full stop. I'd seen clips of it when it first aired in April but I was iffy on it in spite of how good it looked. Like most, I'm a little tired of reboots and remakes, and while I did clock Cynthia as being queer within two seconds, (I believe my exact words were "That's either a very butch lesbian or the eggiest egg to ever egg.") I was Convinced it was a queerbait situation. Plus I was nearing finals and didn't have time to get into a new show. But then Crushing Me was trending on tiktok and I realized this was not queerbait, so I put it on to have something playing while I packed for summer stock and it's been the only thing I can think about since mid May. It got me writing fanfic again for the first time in years, if that tells you anything. Speaking of,
Currently Working On: A follow-up to my previous fic, Steady, Steady! I wanted to have it up this week, but it is a behemoth. I'm a little over halfway through my plot outline and I'm at 10,441 words. Fun fact, this will be my longest single-chapter fic so far. Not just in the fandom, not just on AO3, but ever (so far!)
No-Pressure Tagging: @merely-a-player, @penguin-writes-books, @el-fandom-birb, @marley-barnes112, @isweartheyregayyourhonor, and @look-at-those-niceass-rocks (since I've already dragged you back to tumblr kicking and screaming)

Radical feminism remained the hegemonic tendency within the women's liberation movement until 1973 when cultural feminism began to cohere and challenge its dominance. After 1975, a year of internecine conflicts between radical and cultural feminists, cultural feminism eclipsed radical feminism as the dominant tendency within the women's liberation movement, and, as a consequence, liberal feminism became the recognized voice of the women's movement.
As the preceding chapters have shown, there were prefigurings of cultural feminism within radical feminism, especially by 1970. This nascent cultural feminism, which was sometimes termed ‘female cultural nationalism’ by its critics, was assailed by radical and left feminists alike. For instance, in the December 1970 issue of Everywoman, Ann Fury warned feminists against "retreating into a female culture":
“Like other oppressed [sic], we have our customs and language. But this culture, designed to create the illusion of autonomy, merely indicates fear. Withdraw into it and we take our slavery with us. . . . Furthermore when we retreat into our culture we cover our political tracks with moralism. We say our culture is somehow "better" than male culture. And we trace this supposed superiority to our innate nature, for if we attributed it to our powerlessness, we would have to agree to its dissolution the moment we seize control. . . . When we obtain power, we will take on the characteristics of the powerful. . . . We are not the Chosen people.”
Similarly, in a May 1970 article on the women's liberation movement in Britain, Juliet Mitchell and Rosalind Delmar contended:
“Re-valuations of feminine attributes accept the results of an exploitative situation by endorsing its concepts. The effects of oppression do not become the manifestations of liberation by changing values, or, for that matter, by changing oneself—but only by challenging the social structure that gives rise to those values in the first place.”
And in April 1970, the Bay Area paper It Ain't Me, Babe carried an editorial urging feminists to create a culture which would foster resistance rather than serve as a sanctuary from patriarchy:
“It is extremely oppressive for us to function in a culture where ideas are male oriented and definitions are male controlled. . . .Yet the creation of a woman's culture must in no way be separated from the political struggles of women for liberation. . . . Our culture cannot be the carving of an enclave in which we can bear the status quo more easily—rather it must crystallize the dreams that will strengthen our rebellion.”
But these warnings had little effect as the movement seemed to drift almost ineluctably toward cultural feminism. Cultural feminism seemed a solution to the movement's impasse—both its schisms and its lack of direction. Whereas parts of the radical feminist movement had become paralyzed by political purism, or what Robin Morgan called "failure vanguardism," cultural feminists promised that constructive changes could be achieved. To cultural feminists, alternative women's institutions represented, in Morgan's words, "concrete moves towards self determination and power" for women. Equally important, cultural feminism with its insistence upon women's essential sameness to each other and their fundamental difference from men seemed to many a way to unify a movement that by 1973 was highly schismatic. In fact, cultural feminism succeeded in large measure because it promised an end to the gay-straight split. Cultural feminism modified lesbian-feminism so that male values rather than men were vilified and female bonding rather than lesbianism was valorized, thus making it acceptable to heterosexual feminists.
Of course, by 1973 the women's movement was also facing a formidable backlash—one which may have been orchestrated by the male-dominated New Right, but was hardly lacking in female support. It is probably not coincidental that cultural feminism emerged at a time of backlash. Even if women's political, economic, and social gains were reversed, cultural feminism held out the possibility that women could build a culture, a space, uncontaminated by patriarchy. Morgan described women's art and spirituality as "the lifeblood for our survival" and maintained that “resilient cultures have kept oppressed groups alive even when economic analyses and revolutionary strategy fizzled.” There may even have been the hope that by invoking commonly held assumptions about women and men, anti-feminist women might experience a change of heart and join their ranks. The shift toward cultural feminism also suggests that feminists themselves were not immune to the growing conservatism of the period. Certainly, cultural feminism's demonization of the left seemed largely rooted in a rejection of the '60s radicalism out of which radical feminism evolved.

Eddie knows he made the right call staying home from Texas, based on how much Christopher misses Buck. It’s not exactly surprising. He and Buck are obviously really close, and Buck has been involved in one way or another since Eddie and Chris even met. They were all separated for a long time during lockdown, and Chris is just getting used to them all being back together. So, again, it makes sense that Buck leaving for special deployment to fight wildfires upsets him. Eddie just didn’t realize how profoundly he would miss him.
“When is he coming home?”
“How much longer?”
“Can I call him?”
The questions are frequent. Whiny. Insistent. Eddie tries to be as patient and understanding as he can with all of them.
“Buddy, you know he’s working really hard right now. He’ll call you as soon as he can.”
Buck does call, as much as he can. He can’t speak for long when he does, and most of that time is spent speaking to Christopher. Eddie tries not to be frustrated with the monopolization of his boyfriend, with the understanding that Chris is clearly going through some anxiety about him being gone.
Eddie figures out why one day while he’s off work, and overhears Chris speaking during online class. It’s been a bit of a rocky start to the school year. Christopher’s one teacher left to take a principal position at another school at the last minute, meaning they needed a new teacher a few weeks into the term. The new teacher is, apparently, making them all go around and introduce themselves with a brief explanation about them. When Eddie realizes this, he can’t help but pause outside his son’s door, curious to listen to what he will say.
“Okay, Christopher,” he hears the teacher prompt. “You’re next.”
“Okay,” Christopher says, happy to be speaking. Eddie would be nervous to talk in front of the class at that age. He’d be worried about saying something stupid. He loves that Chris is bold. “I’m Chris."
---
27 for 🔼:
Thank you! I am really excited to write them a dynamic from scratch pretty much!
---
“And the fact that I haven’t talked about any of this at all really. So, sorry you had to be first.”
Buck is quiet for a moment.
“Uh, you don’t have anyone to talk to about all this?” He asks after a moment.
Shit. Shit, shit, shit. What is happening to her internal filter? The last thing she wants is Eddie angry with her because she’s complaining about her choices and their personal business to his friends.
“Not really,” she answers. “But, hey. Forget I said anything, okay? I’m really not trying to dump on you.”
Buck shakes his head. “Seriously, Shannon, it’s fine.”
Before she can embarrass herself any further, the receptionist calls Buck for his appointment. Or, not Buck. Evan Buckley. His full name, she supposes. Maybe she spent long enough in Texas that she just assumed Buck was the whole deal.
“Talk to you next time,” Buck smiles at her, kindly. He’s far too kind.
“Yeah,” she nods. “Good luck in there.”
“You, too.”
She’s never been so relieved to watch someone walk away.

Mainly, though, she is caught off guard by the small bouquet of flowers in April’s hand. A delicate, sweet collection of daisies and other precious little blossoms. May’s heart stutters a little.
“Did you bring me flowers?” May asks, breathless.
“Yeah, of course,” April smiles. “What’s the saying?”
“What saying?” May raises an eyebrow.
“April showers bring May flowers,” April recites.
May laughs. “You are so corny.”
April shrugs, smirking.
“Are you a rainstorm?” May asks.
“Mm, I’m a Cancer sun,” April offers. “So, close enough?”
May laughs brightly.
“Do you like them?” April asks.
May reaches forward to take the flowers. “They’re beautiful. Thank you. Do we have a vase?”
April’s expression falls. “I didn’t even consider that.”
“Let’s look at our options,” May chuckles.
---
27 for 🦮:
---
“How soon?” Buck asks. “How soon can you come home?”
“Well, that’s the thing… Twenty seconds?”
“What?” Buck gasps.
“I was kind of hoping to be here when Chris wakes up?” Eddie says. “I’m in the driveway.”
“I’m in the backyard,” Buck tells him. “With Cran.”
Buck hears the sounds of Eddie getting out of the truck, shutting the door behind him. He hears it over the phone, and in the distance. Oh, shit. It’s real. He’s really here.
“Be right there,” Eddie says.
Buck walks towards the back gate, Cranberry trotting alongside him. He sees the lock on the gate click open. His heart rate begins to soar. The gate pushes open and in steps Eddie. Eddie, dressed in jeans and an LAFD tee shirt, looking just as gorgeous as always. Except, maybe even more, because of the brilliant smile on his face.
“Hey,” Buck exhales.
“Hey,” Eddie replies, eyes fucking glittering.
Buck steps towards Eddie, hands shaking, unsure what he gets to do now that he can actually reach out and touch him.
---
42 for ➰:
---
“Mm, but it doesn’t really match,” Buck responds. “That doesn’t make any sense.”
“I think you might be too worried about a clock, Buck.”
“I’m not worried about it. It just doesn’t make sense.”
He likes things to make sense, even if only in his own logic.
“Okay, well, we can figure out the clock or we can enjoy our day,” Eddie says. “Starting with a big breakfast?”
Buck smirks. “You sure know how to get through to me.”
➰
Half an hour later, they’re sitting on a big patio eating a complimentary hotel breakfast. Chris looks mildly zombified, like he can’t believe he’s awake this early. Nevermind the fact he wakes up way earlier than this for school. Eddie is indulging in a very big breakfast - more than he’d normally go for, Buck thinks. He’s practically dumping sugar in his coffee.
“You’re not going to sleep tonight,” Buck warns him. Eddie is usually a black coffee type guy, or very minimal sugar. He always complains too much of it gives him insomnia.
“It’ll be fine,” Eddie shrugs.
Buck eats waffles contentedly. The hotel has an insanely gorgeous view of the ocean. The early morning light only makes it all the more fantastic. Buck could stare at it forever. It’s beyond what they have in L.A.
“We should come back here again,” Buck says. “Some other time. A long weekend wasn’t enough.”
Eddie smiles warmly at him.
“Anytime you want,” he says.
Buck feels a pang of giddiness ripple through him. Eddie has been so much more hopeful and open lately. Buck knows it’s not all about their relationship. Therapy and mending things with Christopher are also a huge part of that. But it’s impossible to deny that being together has made each of them a bit… Lighter? Freer? Buck certainly feels a lot more settled.
“I guess we’re never going back to work, then,” Buck winks.
Eddie chuckles.
“Can you guys stop while I’m eating?” Chris begs.
“We didn’t do anything!” Buck protests.

a quick message
hi, i wanted to bring something up real quick. i got a message in my inbox a few days ago that made me pretty uncomfortable, too uncomfortable to answer it in public, but i still wanted to say something after giving it some thought
regarding IMLY
i am pro choice. i always have been. and in no way shape or form did i want this fic to be some sort of pro-life symbol because that's not who i am. i am pro choice which means i believe that women have the right to decide what to do with their own bodies. if a woman wants to have her tubes tied, get an abortion, or get a hysterectomy, then that is HER decision. if a woman decides she wants to be child free, that is HER decision. and i am a huge advocate for that. being pro choice coincides with my feelings on adequate access to reproductive healthcare and education for women. these things go hand-in-hand to me.
i also wanted to bring up the subject of natural birth real quick. i do not think c-sections are "cheating." a c-section birth is just as much a birth as a "natural" (vaginal) one.
this fic is the ideal for ME, not the standard. i understand that most twins are born via c-section, and i understand that some women decide not to have children after undergoing miscarriages. these are all things that fall under the pro choice mindset. this fic came from a personal place for ME, and i just happened to share it on the internet
if i was put into the situation where my fertility treatment led me to having twins and the best course of action was a c-section, then i would chose the c-section, but that wouldn't be MY first choice. for some women, that IS their first choice. for some women, a vaginal birth is their ONLY choice. do you see what i'm getting at here?
also, im bisexual. i do not think that heterosexual marriages and families are the Societal Standard. lesbian women can have babies. gay men can have babies. trans men can have babies. no matter how one goes about having a child, it is POSSIBLE. if you have a uterus and the capacity to get pregnant, it is your body and your choice and your life to live.
im honestly a bit heartbroken. again, i'm not going to post this ask because it made me extremely uncomfortable, but i want to make all of this very, very clear, and i am very sorry if this fic left anyone with a sour taste. that wasn't my intention.
additionally, i am sorry about my silence as of late. i have been working frequent and long hours at my job and have switched back to drawing more frequently rather than writing, but i have been working on EVERY request that i have gotten since turning off my inbox asks. i haven't forgotten about any of them (i literally have them written down in multiple places to remind me). i've said it before, writing is not my full-time priority. it's a hobby, and the only reason it was more frequent throughout march, april, and may was because i was going through extreme art block. a part of me wishes i didn't open requests because i have a guilty conscious and operate like im running a drive-thru (which is also what i do for work tbh), but people have been super sweet and trusting me with your stories is an honor, and i PROMISE i have not forgotten about them
sorry about this long-winded post out of nowhere
take care, and i'll be back soon. i promise

Well, the personal era is over now. Now it's time for a somewhat more permanent era, the era of the Hexaflame. Because I, am many. There are six people in the brain. That number could change. This is a bio for all of them. Update: there are eleven
So hi, I'm the same ol' Ellie as the one who made this blog. I am an autistic, aegosexual, cupioromantic tgirl. Please use she/her pronouns for me. My hobbies are worldbuilding, and learning about stuff. I also really, really like the Outer Wilds. You should play it. Right now. Here's my AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/users/TehAspyfics. If there is no signature, assume that it's me that's posting.
Hello there! I'm Megan, and I'm only fronting to make my bio. I am a very big lesbian. I would also like you to use she/her when reffering to me, please. (Quick note from Sieben, her signature is a pride flag. If you see a 🏳️🌈, then that's Megan). Update: as of april 25th, Megan is now a little
Hi there tumblr. My name is Sieben. I'm a straight up boy, so I use he/him pronouns. Respect that. Update now that I know my sexuality. I am ace. Good day.. If I'm posting, then you should see a radio. 📻
Hello. My name is Void. Pleasure to meet you. I am an agender void being. I use any pronouns. I use 🖤. (Note from Alex: Void's sexuality is unknown.)

Please don't mention thag comic when she's around. Thanks)
Tumblr. I am Unit 6497. Call me Unit. I go by any pronouns. I use a robot to let you know who I am.🤖
Am Sammie. Am what you call little. No idea what "pronoun" is. Ummmmmmmmm... typing thingie is signature. Bye. (Update from Ellie, it's a 🧸)
(Here we go) Yeah hi, I'm Entrapta. Yeah, from the show. She-Ra is that good, okay? Ellie's brain rotted too much and now I exist. Okay? She/her for me, and I use a wrench-🔧
I'm Bob, the resident trauma-holder. Please use he/him when talking to me. 🐻 because I can't find anything
I do believe that this bio thing is finished. I mean, not neccesarily complete, just that we can't think of anything more to add right now. I hope to see you again soon, sincerely, ⚕️

i wanted to make another post about this because
1. i didn’t feel like i explained a lot of the points
2. it was worded poorly.
i want to say that i am not going to speak about the 15 year old girl situation. thats not my thing to speak on since i dont know the full situation.
i will speak on as much as i can though <3
1. “Gr..mer Allegations”
If i’m gonna be fully honest, i have no idea where these allegations sprung out of. i’ve not known plague for long but i do know he’s very adoment about hating these types of people and he genuienly isn’t one of these people. all the supposed victims have literally said that they haven’t been groomed by plague.
2. Dark Jokes or whatever
The dark jokes i’m talking about are mainly the h1tler and the down syndrome jokes. those jokes were made in april/may. this was when the server had JUST started im pretty sure. toby has explained that since then he hasn’t made any jokes like that and he isn’t trying to excuse his actions for that. h1tler jokes are very normalised in germany. obviously depending on where ur raised the jokes people make there and ect latch on to you. this was a ONE time occasion in DMS where plague had said this joke. nowhere else. that’s it.
3. Racism
1. i just want to say because this is genuinely infuriating, saying “IM NOT FUCKING BLACK” isn’t racist. he’s not black. he’s stating a fact. and there’s literally context behind that that explains all of that. now onto the rest. the rest of the ‘racist’ screenshots are jokes. jokes. yes, they may not be good jokes but that doesn’t make someone racist.
4. Homophobia
until just recently, plague didn’t realise the l slur was only for lesbians. genuienly. he thought it was for bi people. regardless of gender. since realising he has apologised. he also only said it once. so this wasn’t a multiple occasion thing. yes, it still may not be right, but he did take accountability.
5. Harrassing a 12 year old
I was involved in this. and i wanna say we did NOT harass a 12 year old off of the internet. they posted a video about plague, we debunked it. that’s it. they realised we were probably right and went away. + they aren’t even off thr internet. they still comment, post, and repost things? 😭
as far as i know, that’s all i can cover for now! please genuienly don’t go and harass anyone that’s just gonna cause more drama 🙏

LDS LGBTQ Anniversaries for 2023
For 8 years I’ve been in charge of creating my stake’s calendar. In addition to stake meetings & activities, I include holidays and significant LDS anniversaries like when it was the 175th anniversary of the founding of Sunday School or 40 years ago priesthood and temple blessings were restored to members of African descent.
This year there's only 1 significant anniversary I put on the calendar: Sept 21st will be 200 years since the angel Moroni first appeared to Joseph Smith.
For readers of this blog, here’s a few anniversaries this year that may be of interest:
April 1948 - Gay BYU students Kent Goodridge and Richard Snow met with church president George Albert Smith. They were in love and wanted to get a clarification of their ‘status.’ President Smith treated them with great kindness and told them to "live their lives as best they could" in their companionship. They had gambled making this appointment and worried they could be excommunicated on the spot, instead they left feeling loved and valued.
Unfortunately, this live-and-let-live attitude didn’t last long as President Smith's successor, David O. McKay, felt homosexuals "should be excommunicated without any doubt, that the homosexual has no right to membership in the Church."
May 18, 1993 - Apostle Boyd K. Packer gave an address to the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve, and the Presiding Bishopric, in which he stated there are three great threats to the LDS Church: the gay/lesbian challenge, the feminist movement, and scholars
September - The September Six are excommunicated for publishing scholarly work against or criticizing church doctrine or leadership. This was widely reported in national press and resulted in a chilling effect on academics challenging approved church narratives
25 years ago
October - Mormon-raised Russell Henderson and his friend Aaron McKinney tortured Matthew Shepard and left him for dead in Wyoming. The shocking crime made international news. The outrage over this crime eventually lead to the Matthew Shepard Act in 2009 which expanded the federal law’s definition of “hate crime” to include sexual orientation and gender identity. In 2018, Matthew's ashes were moved to the Washington National Cathedral
15 years ago
Chieko Okazaki, the first person of color to serve in an LDS Church general organization presidency, was first counselor in the General Relief Society President when she published a book in which she wrote “A family with a gay child is not a failed family. It's a family with a member who needs special love and understanding and who has love and understanding to give back.”
California’s Prop 8 - Church leadership heavily encouraged members donate time and money to pass Prop 8 which would ban same-sex marriage in California. About 1/2 of the money raised for its passage came from Mormons. The proposition passed and immediately there were protests at temples in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, and the church received a lot of negative exposure. Since then the church has preferred behind-the-scenes roles in its efforts to combat queer rights
10 years ago
Dec 20, 2013 - Same-sex marriages became legally recognized in Utah. Seth Anderson & Michael Ferguson, both former Mormons, are the first gay couple to get married in Utah
5 years ago
January 2018 - The documentary "Believer" featuring Imagine Dragon's lead singer Dan Reynolds premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. Reynolds discussed the intersection of LGBTQ people in the Mormon community. Later in the year he appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and spoke of LGBTQ Mormons and suicides
January 2018 - Josh Weed, the most famous LDS gay man in a mixed-orientation marriage, announces that he & his wife will get a divorce. They apologize to everyone who ever had their story held up as an example that gay people can get married and stay in the Church.
February 2018 - Church-run Family Services states it no longer provides reparative therapy or sexual orientation change efforts
February 2018 - Richard Ostler starts a podcast called “Listen, Learn, and Love,” which has LGBTQ members/former members share their stories
March 2018 - BYU sponsors its first LGBT campus event, a panel of four students--Kaitlynn Wright, Ben Schilaty, Sarah Langford and Gabriel Cano–answer student-submitted questions
As president of the LGBTQAI+ and Allies Club, Jill Stevenson worked with administration at Southern Virginia University, a predominantly-LDS liberal arts college, to get the university to officially recognize the club, and to allow same-gender dancing on campus
June 2018 - The Church’s Family Search website starts allowing same-sex marriages to be recorded
July 2018 - The Provo Freedom Festival allows LGBTQ groups to participate in the parade due to a contract it had signed with the city of Provo which included a non-discrimination clause.
Dec 2018 - Stacey Harkey, a cast member on BYUTV’s popular show Studio C, comes out as gay

Play Thirsty Sword Lesbians
So on bird app I talked about how many community copies of Thirsty Sword Lesbians there was and now 100s of people have claimed community copies of the game [Note Community Copies are free copies of PDFs which are on many itch.io TTRPGs and even community made TSL playbooks]. Since a ton more people now have access to my favorite game and one I've worked on for every edition so far as well as making a fan playbook, I wanted to talk about what is special about the system, what makes me love it so much, and why you might want to give it a try.
Thirsty Sword Lesbians is a simple game to understand but it refines even the most simple parts of it's design to make a better experience. In Thirsty Sword Lesbian's there is no failure or success. You roll d26 plus your modifier then you are either given a down beat, a mixed beat, or an upbeat. None of these mean you did what you intended. You can have a down beat where you knocked out the guard you had been trying to knock out but it turns out she was your girlfriends sister and without the context she just witnessed you assaulting her family. You may get an upbeat trying to do something and trip and fall and end up landing perfectly knocking away the sacred stone that the villain needs to turn the world into skeletons, with witnesses now thinking your amazing where in truth you have never quite been good at this.
Playbooks are designed with great intentionality to them each is designed with an emotional conflict at the heart. Where classes and playbooks can often be more like picking your powerset, in TSL your picking a struggle. It's not that other things might not be also bothering you but the conflict is something internally you are dealing with that's standing above the rest of the other conflicts you might have. This is an element that just feels very queer, we all have our problems, our traumas, and we work through them together. Each playbook also has a core mechanic that makes it stand out from the others, these have a narrative weight and a textual weight. These core mechanics typically take the form as some advantageous ability but are also deeply rooted in your conflict. They encourage you as a player to roleplay just by using the most basic aspect of your character.
I have to be real though, the thing that first made me fall head over heels with Thirsty Sword Lesbians was how funny and cool the adventures were. When I was reading the playtest version of the game, before I was brought on to write Yuisa Revolution and later The Matriarch, I was just playing a one shot and thought the name sounded fun. I read Best Day Of Their Life and just knew, this game was gonna be utterly my shit. At first I was just skimming like I do with most TTRPGs at first glance, but I read the first couple lines of the setting and I decided "fuck, I have to read all of this." I read the whole thing, made a character for my one shot and right after that session signed up to run multiple one shots of the game so others could get to play it because I loved it so much.
I don't normally like to play in premade settings but each of these are simple enough to really build on with enough going on that made it easier to run if you didn't want to get super creative and make a bunch of new shit. It really made me fall in love with setting writing in a way I just didn't before. I had gotten asked to work on Mutants and Master Minds before I TSL but I thought it was so boring working on the setting I quit and left money on the table. However, when April approached me to write a setting, I said yes, right away, no hesitation and now I work in TTRPG design. I had done TTRPG design work before but I wasn't locked in after quitting comics, it was how exciting the settings were that got me so inspired to create.
While many refer to Thirsty Sword Lesbians as a Powered By The Apocalypse game and by all means it is in a lot of senses, I think Powered By Lesbians is a very distinct flavor. It cuts out everything bad about PBTA and adds so much to the table. Chiefly among them is the smitten mechanic which is a mechanic I wish like every game had. It is one of the most clever pieces of game design ever convinced of. Being smitten has you do a moment of dramatic introspection, while I am one for more bright and cheery and less drama focused stuff, it's amazingly juicy hooks for a GM to get into. It not only allows you to put out your characters personal doubts about a potential relationship but it also says to the GM and everyone playing "I like this character, I want to see more of them, I want to explore where this goes." It's also in addition a way for players to tell each other "I want to be romantic with your character" and if they chose to get smitten back it's mechanically saying without even needing an out of game chat "Let's roleplay some romance."
Thirsty Sword Lesbians is really something special, I could gush on and on but already a lot given I worked on it and am currently working on it but I just wanted to talk about why the system is special to me. I hope I got you interested and I don't make any royalties on TSL sales [yet] so like I am not really biased here outside of the pages I worked on and that I made friends with a lot of folks who worked on it over my time working on it and after. Go clash swords and cross hearts.

This year’s Pride Month has rarely seemed so pointless. After all, only the truly shameless in the LGBT activist set could feel any pride in 2024 – a year in which the rainbow-flag fliers’ betrayal of gay youngsters in the name of gender ideology was laid bare.
The publication of the Cass Review in April exposed the scandal of the NHS’s treatment of ‘gender confused’ kids. It showed how the NHS’s Gender Identity Development Services (GIDS) subjected troubled, often gay youngsters to life-altering hormones, drugs and treatments. Yet when these same-sex-attracted young people needed a gay movement, it failed them. Stonewall, its principal representative, actively cheered on those encouraging gay youngsters to believe they were born in the wrong body. Former Stonewall CEO Ruth Hunt even warned parents that half their gender-distressed children would commit suicide without puberty blockers. At the same time, leading sections of the gay movement turned on anyone questioning the trans agenda.
You won’t see any reflection on this betrayal of gays and lesbians during Pride Month. There will be no recognition that by embracing gender ideology, the gay-rights movement of today has undermined the gay rights of tomorrow. Instead, an unholy alliance of corporates, trade unions and parading gendercrats will spend weeks celebrating their supposed virtue, while remaining oblivious to the absurdity and growing unpopularity of the movement they represent.
Don’t let the ubiquitous Pride flag fool you over the coming weeks into thinking this is a successful movement. How strong can a ‘gay rights’ movement be if it has allowed its next generation to be chemically castrated? How strong can a movement be that has allowed lesbians like Kathleen Stock or Julie Bindel to be deplatformed, harassed and sacked for standing up to gender ideology?
The new ‘Progress Pride’ flag tells the story of the movement’s corruption. A new trans chevron makes an ugly incursion from the left, with an ‘intersex-inclusive’ purple circle placed on top of it (despite some intersex activists asking not to be included). This is more of a logo now and less of a flag. It symbolises the hostile takeover of the gay-rights movement by gender-identity ideology.
Pride was once our answer to shame. The riposte to being kicked out of your home for coming out. The retort to everyday incidents of homophobia, which are now thankfully a thing of the past in the UK and the West.
Today’s Pride is different. It is not a response to a sense of shame. It is a false pride born of shamelessness. A pride fuelled by the self-righteous embrace of the cause of trans rights. Think of Stonewall CEO Nancy Kelley calling lesbians ‘sexual racists’ in 2021 for not wanting to have sex with biological males. Think of those happily suppressing moderate gay voices for warning that ‘conversion-therapy bans’ simply criminalise ordinary therapy for gender-confused youth. Or how Stonewall did everything in its power to hound gender-critical barrister Allison Bailey out of a job.
If one must take pride in anything during Pride Month, I prefer to find it in the spirited and steadfast work of women and gay people in the UK who, against all the odds, have taken on gender ideology and its champions within the gay movement. Organisations like LGB Alliance and the Gay Men’s Network, which I direct, have done sterling work in defending gay rights from the predations of gender ideology. It has been tough. We have had to battle against an elite consensus. It wasn’t that long ago that both Theresa May and, later, Sir Keir Starmer were promising Pink News that gender self-identification would become law. Now, in part thanks to the efforts of gay-rights activists and gender-critical feminists, the sitting and shadow secretaries of state for health and social care are committed to implementing the findings of the Cass Review.
Pride, the holy month of the rainbow, is now a thoroughly rudderless affair. Its foolish embrace of the specious cause of trans rights has cost it dear. This increasingly silly party now takes place against the backdrop of a generation-defining medical scandal that Pride and its backers endorsed. Even Stonewall seems cowed. It certainly seems less keen to pronounce that transing a two-year-old is a good idea than it was just a few years ago.
Pride should parade its way into irrelevance. The gay-rights activism of the future will need to look very different.
Dennis Kavanagh is a director of Gay Men’s Network.

NEW MOON IN SIDEREAL TAURUS HOROSCOPES
June 6, 2024 there will be a New Moon in Sidereal Taurus and we’re planting seeds to belong. Jupiter, The Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus will all be in Sidereal Taurus during this lunation. Venus took the stage May 1st with Jupiters ingress into Taurus after being in Mars ruled Sidereal Aries since April 21,2023. Venus reminds Mars that its work of self delinatation, separation, and differentiation is rewarded by finding the people who deeply align with you. Venus thanks Mars for reminding it what it's like to live without the necessity of a mask, and crippling self correction, that sacrificing a space where you’re approved of, accepted and seen as beautiful as you experience yourself is to cut yourself off at the knees.
This New Moon and stellium in Sidereal Taurus introduces us to the people we have the opportunity to meet and break bread with if we make space for them. What relationships, things you own, identify with, weigh you down, and make you feel estranged from belonging in your body? It takes just as much courage to belong as it takes to cut yourself off.
Below are horoscopes for each Sidereal Rising and Moon Sign. You can also apply this to your sidereal Sun Sign or any stellium (3 or more planets in one sign).
Taurus Rising and Moon
How are you seeking self approval by playing and being curious with your appearance, gender or sexuality? How have you been gaslit out of embodying your own attraction to yourself?
What labels and roles have you been made to conform to (Boy, girl, gay, straight, lesbian, mother, employee) and which roles do you feel comfortable and empowered taking on?
What cultural traditions and rituals do you find yourself eager and responsible to uphold? How does your connection to your appearance keep you grounded in a sense of self.
Gemini Rising and Moon
Seek acceptance, friendship and companionship from strangers and people you don’t know. This is a time where you could feel estranged from groups of people you have commonalities with. You can deal with this estrangement by making a concerted effort to interact with new people.
How can you embody the knowledge of your lineage and identity? What about your race, gender, sexuality etc are you learning to trust expressing?
How has being estranged from people who share identities with you (black, queer, disabled) influenced your beliefs around your right to belonging (in those identities)
Cancer Rising and Moon
Seek the approval of your audience, fans, benefactors and friends. Right now the people who want to help you can assist with the resistance you feel toward taking action toward materializing your career goals.
Who do you believe your art and creativity is directed toward? Who is your audience and who/what do you create for?
Pay attention to the conflicts bosses/superiors/your mother or parents impose on you, use who regulates or dysregulates you as a metric of who belongs and who doesn't.
Leo Rising and Moon
How does conforming to the expectations of your bosses, managers and mother allow you to gain more dignity and self respect than going against the grain? Does proving people wrong about who you are feel better than belonging ?
The shame of being perceived as incapable or weak can drive you to fein a facade of impenetrable confidence, being vulnerable about what you cannot handle/afford allow others to decide when and how they can help you.
Where are you being validated for your appearance, identity and art in public? Does the way your mother/parents perceive your beauty influence what you see to be beautiful about yourself? What about you did they perceive as ugly? How does that shape your own internal neglect?
Virgo Rising and Moon
Start approving of yourself and letting others validate your precision and knowledge of oracles like tarot and astrology. What customs, and cultural rituals are appealing to you that you're curious about? Build a ritual that pulls on the evidence, research and divinations you’ve acquired recently.
Now is a good time to start thinking about any certifications, classes or courses you want to be a part of. This will allow you to surround yourself with your communities of people who want to learn the same topics and share mutual interest. How do you get tangible evidence for what you've studied and what you believe in?
Make sure you and your identity is reflected in the work you do and what you create. Now you could be disassociating your sense of self from your workplace or career path to pursue learning something you're more passionate about.
Libra Rising and Moon
Your relationship to indulgence, sex and pleasure can jeopardize your autonomy by leaving you dependent on others to meet needs you could meet yourself. How does dependency keep you indifferent to your own autonomy and ability to sever? What beliefs around your own dependency keep you from identifying with your own autonomy?
Allowing your partner(s) to practice their own autonomy gives room for you to see how many other relationships you have. Witness how interconnected you are to your family, friends– allow this to let people embody their differences and show you how it's done.
Now maybe a time where you want to take out a loan, get a credit card, apply for grants to help you bridge the gap of what you have and what you need. Be realistic about your savings goals and pragmatic about meeting them to avoid falling into debt.
Scorpio Rising and Moon
Leaning into your differences will empower you when you are in conflict and when attracting professional and romantic relationships. You may feel challenged to leave or abandon a job or daily obligation even though belonging is beneficial.
Who do you have to be to gain access to contracts, leases and professional alliances? How is this person in conflict with who you are? You may be looking for new roommates or partners. Question your attraction and why you find qualities attractive in others. Are these qualities suppressed within yourself?
Make sure you’re getting any symptoms your body is feeling checked out by a professional. What daily habits and routines will support your health and autonomy?
Sagittarius Rising and Moon
Curate a routine and practice around adornment and dressing in ways that make you feel at home in your body. Put intention into some items you care about that you can wear for multiple purposes like protection, road opening and clarity etc.
You and your coworkers could be finding commonalities in the shared identity of employee and other shared beliefs around the work(place). Y’all could be unionizing or being made to conceal the truth of your intentions from your boss
How have you been made to conceal or mask your diagnosis or other disabilities at work and to your close family? If you have a disability that is not visible make it an effort to make accommodations for you to get obligations met. You have the right to identify creatively with your work.
Capricorn Rising and Moon
How are you using your body as a tool to be creative and have fun? Define some creative practices like yoga, stretching, or adornment that allow you to regulate and gain control of yourself.
Who do you have to be to meet the demands of children, or other things you’re making? Does identifying with the language of parent, author, poet, singer, actor etc help or hinder your own perception of your art, offsprings?
What action needs to be taken inside/around your home? You could be looking to move or put more effort into making your home feels safe to inhabit and be in. Who/what is allowed in and who isn't? What boundaries need to be implemented around who belongs where you live
Aquarius Rising and Moon
Focus on identifying with your home (the aesthetics of it, where it's located and the people who live in your neighborhood) and where you're from. How do you see yourself reflected in your home and living space?
Being abandoned or estranged from your families cultural values & personal spiritual practices leaves you vulnerable to being invisible to yourself and how you're perceived by others, who are you to the people you come from? What role do you occupy in your lineage?
What beliefs about your identity (race, gender, sexuality) did you have to mask in your home in order to be approved of?
Pisces Rising and Moon
How are you learning to identify with your kin, cousins and close friends and family? What about the identities of the people you come from do you resonate with and feel within yourself ?
Define the rites, passages and cultural norms of our family and relatives. What customs have kept yall together? How can you participate in upholding the rituals of communion in your family?
Right now you could be driven to find different or new sources of income or abandon some assets. It's a good time to donate or throw things away you no longer identify with or start or renew a budgeting plan.
Aries Rising and Moon
Create boundaries with yourself around indulgence, food and spending. Preserve yourself from not having enough by limiting what you decide to indulge in. This is a time to spend money on quality items that will last you instead of fleeting pleasures.
How are you identifying with your assets and things you own? This is a good time to create an altar or get back to maintaining yours if you've been neglecting it. The things you own have value and you get to assign what that value is.
What role does money/the optics of having it influence what you believe yourself to be capable of? If you don't have a certain amount of money, how is your self esteem affected? What is it about not having enough or needing help that makes you feel unworthy?

you are a truly disgusting individual. your anti queer rhetoric is sending the world so far backward, you are pushing hate towards a community who already experiences so much shit from others like you. drag is not dangerous, it is art. being trans is not a cult. queer people are not inherently evil as you so clearly think. you are a sick fuck and I hope you have a terrible day <3
Scotland's Hate Crime Act comes into effect today. Women gain no additional protections, of course, but well-known trans activist Beth Douglas, darling of prominent Scottish politicians, falls within a protected category. Phew! 1/11
Lovely Scottish lass and convicted double rapist Isla Bryson found her true authentic female self shortly before she was due to be sentenced. Misgendering is hate, so respect Isla’s pronouns, please. Love the leggings! 2/11
Fragile flower Katie Dolatowski, 6'5", was rightly sent to a women's prison in Scotland after conviction. This ensured she was protected from violent, predatory men (unlike the 10-year-old girl Katie sexually assaulted in a women's public bathroom.) 3/11
Samantha Norris was cleared of exposing her penis to two 11-year-old girls. Hooray! Unfortunately she was then convicted for possession of 16,000 images of children being raped and sexually assaulted. Be that as it may, Sam’s still a lady to me! 4/11
Scottish woman and butcher Amy George abducted an 11-year-old girl while dressed in female clothing. No idea why this was mentioned in court – of course she was wearing women’s clothing, she's a woman! Amy took the girl home and sexually abused her over a 27-hour period. 5/11
But most women aren’t axe-toters or sex offenders, so let’s talk role models! Guilia Valentino (in red) wanted to play on the women's team 'because of sisterhood, validation and political visibility'. Naturally, she was given some boring cis girl’s place. Yay for inclusion! 6/11
Mridul Wadhwa, head of a Scottish rape crisis centre, says, ‘sexual violence happens to bigoted people as well.’ She has no gender recognition certificate, but was still appointed to a job advertised for women only. Time to be ‘challenged on your prejudices’, rape victims! 7/11
Munroe Bergdorf isn’t just a pretty face! Public campaigner for a children’s charity until safeguarding concerns were raised, she was appointed UN Women’s first ever UK champion. ‘What makes a woman “a woman” has no definitive answer,’ says Munroe. Great choice, UN Women! 8/11
Katie Neeves has been appointed as the UN Women UK delegate. She switched from straight man to lesbian at the age of 48 and, in a leaked 2022 webinar, described how she used to enjoy stealing and wearing her sister’s underwear. A truly relatable representative! 9/11
Image
Last, but least, TV’s India Willoughby proves we women can call a black broadcaster a ‘nasty bitch’ who ‘wouldn’t be anywhere without woke’, dub lesbians men, insult the looks of a female Olympic swimmer, ‘joke’ about kidnapping feminists, and STILL get airtime! What a gal! 10/11
🎉🌼🌸April Fools! 🌸🌼🎉
Only kidding. Obviously, the people mentioned in the above tweets aren't women at all, but men, every last one of them.
In passing the Scottish Hate Crime Act, Scottish lawmakers seem to have placed higher value on the feelings of men performing their idea of femaleness, however misogynistically or opportunistically, than on the rights and freedoms of actual women and girls. The new legislation is wide open to abuse by activists who wish to silence those of us speaking out about the dangers of eliminating women's and girls’ single-sex spaces, the nonsense made of crime data if violent and sexual assaults committed by men are recorded as female crimes, the grotesque unfairness of allowing males to compete in female sports, the injustice of women’s jobs, honours and opportunities being taken by trans-identified men, and the reality and immutability of biological sex.
For several years now, Scottish women have been pressured by their government and members of the police force to deny the evidence of their eyes and ears, repudiate biological facts and embrace a neo-religious concept of gender that is unprovable and untestable. The re-definition of 'woman' to include every man who declares himself one has already had serious consequences for women's and girls’ rights and safety in Scotland, with the strongest impact felt, as ever, by the most vulnerable, including female prisoners and rape survivors.
It is impossible to accurately describe or tackle the reality of violence and sexual violence committed against women and girls, or address the current assault on women’s and girls’ rights, unless we are allowed to call a man a man. Freedom of speech and belief are at an end in Scotland if the accurate description of biological sex is deemed criminal.
I'm currently out of the country, but if what I've written here qualifies as an offence under the terms of the new act, I look forward to being arrested when I return to
the birthplace of the Scottish Enlightenment.

I've seen a lot of wholesome Leo and Donnie memories mentioned. Are we gonna hear about any bad ones (excluding the fight courtesy of Mikey's prank)? I feel that hearing what Draxum says would cause Leo to have an overload of negative memories where he (as well as Mikey and Raph) may not have treated Donnie the best way.
Generally I've kept it to the positive memories because that's what Leo holds onto. Thinking about all the times they ignored Donnie or were dicks to him for no good reason, (he really is the 'dump on me' sibling) that just makes Leo feel like shit and drags him lower. He really can't handle that right now. Leo can be very self-flagellant at times but he's going to do it for a purpose, or at least the illusion of a purpose. Lingering on how shitty he was to Donnie could break him, and he needs to stay somewhat functional to save his brother.
And the show never really shows us a lot of soft disaster twin moments. You mostly just see them bicker and everyone rag on Donnie. There's only two episodes that focus on them, and one of them they're the B-plot while April's lesbian date is the main, and the other is Lair Games. You can still tell they're close, little context clues in how they tend to stand together and team up even in group shots, and they way they talk to each other just exudes "I have absolutely no filters around you and if anyone else ever talked to you like this I would pull their intestines out." Which is still good writing, but I thought they deserved to have some purer, happier memories.
Also, absence makes the heart grow fonder and whatnot. Leo isn't thinking about all the things Donnie did that used to annoy him. He's thinking about all the things he misses.
#i don't know do you guys want more angst in this flavor?#i'm not exactly taking requests but i can steer some detours a certain way#doth asks#leonardo#donatello#disaster twins

APRIL HEADCANONS: -born april 30 1993 (duh) -passenger princess. do not trust this woman behind the wheel. -has three siblings. february march (33) june july (13) and august september (3) -i have an insane amount of backstory headcanon for her so please ask me about that my dms are always open -related to above, she was a child beauty queen/reality tv person (2-7) and teen model (13-20) -she LOVES romcoms. so much -natural hair color is a mousey brown. it got dyed pink when she was 2 due to . child beauty queen -has HORRIBLE nightmares. rip queen! -owns one of those fucking lipstick tazers. like despicable me 2. -also a lesbian! was in denial for most of her life ("well, men like ME so obviously i like them") before being like "wow im gay. but im still going to flirt with men because theyre more likely to give me their credit card info" -she has a cat :) -she has all the mental illnesses that i have because i am her and she is me. hpd, bpd, anorexia, ptsd shes me fr -related to the above, she doesnt take it seriously. I wrote an update last month about what was going on in the Thatcher-verse and I think I might make it a monthly thing. It will give my followers a chance to see what I have coming up.
March was a good month for me. My writing went well and my personal life seemed to be steady on the good side of things. I’ve learned I’ll need to move next year, but I’ve got time. But if you are looking to read any of my books, this would be a great time to make a purchase. I need to start saving to make the move next year.
Amazon is where most people find my books, so here’s a link to my catalogue: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Sadie-Thatcher/author/B00B4MINAC
Smashwords is a great place to buy books, especially if you don’t like Amazon’s evil empire. You can find them here: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/sadiethatcher
Plus, you can find them at the Google Play bookstore: https://play.google.com/store/books/author?id=Sadie+Thatcher
Additionally, my books are available through Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and Scribd. I don’t have links to those stores handy, but if that’s where you like to buy books from, my books will show up there, eventually. I distribute through Smashwords and have to wait until the review team there approves my books for distribution. This can take days or even a week.
I should also mention that I’m also writing fantasy novels right now under the name Libby Feron. I am currently editing my next novel that I’m planning to release May 2 (there’s a chance I’ll delay, but I’m trying hard to get the book ready). That’s less than a month away now. If fantasy is your thing, take a look at my novels here: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Libby-Feron/author/B09PJ9J5RN
And if you sign up for the Libby Feron newsletter, you get exclusive content and updates like cover reveals before anyone else. I’m planning to write a few bonus scenes for my current series that will be exclusive to newsletter subscribers. You can sign up here: https://libbyferon.com/newsletter/
With the fantasy novel plug complete, let me also mention some of the cool stories I have coming out this month.
I’ve got two more books featuring TG in the Bimbo Beach Series coming your way. I will be submitting the second book Sunday (4/9) and the third next weekend.
I also have a new series featuring political corruption and bimbos coming soon. It will feature a shadowy cabal that uses bimbos as pawns to gain power, either through blackmail or as a carrot to entice good politicians to turn bad.
Toward the end of April, I plan to begin a series based on a reality TV show. I don’t have a lot of details yet, but expect to see that in the last few days of the month
I’ve also got a commission in the pipeline that should be good. It won’t actually see the light until May, but I’ll begin writing it this month. Multiple transformations and lots of lesbian sex in this one.
Finally, the days of Fake It Until You Make It being available on Amazon Kindle Vella are numbered. I have requested the story come down from Vella so that I may publish it in other forms, including turning it into an audiobook. I don’t expect anything to happen on this until early June, but this is your warning to download those episodes now so you can read them at your leisure.

What W2 Wrote in 2023
Considering that I'm prrrrrobably not going to manage to put out anything else this year, yeah, let's do a roundup now while I've got a moment. (Note: Only includes fun stuff; no professional shit here.)
January
I can't even remember January. Nothing happens in Januaries.
February
to the beat of your heart, ch. 3 (MDZS) The ongoing adventures of a self-indulgent happy-ending everybody-lives-and-also-bones WangXian canon-divergent AU; a joint project between my wife and me.
It’s Hard to Say “I Do” When You Don’t (@shousetsubangbang) Original story about a guy whose long-time crush asks him to pretend to be his boyfriend at a family wedding. Fake dating ensues.
March
Kintsukuroi (DMBJ) This heihua piece may be the best thing I've written all year? Look, I'm just very proud of how I made it exactly what I wanted it to be.
April
Head (@shousetsubangbang) This was a last-minute fill because the story I wanted to write failed to make itself writeable. Oh well! Still a funny and cute blowjob.
May
to the beat of your heart, ch. 4 (MDZS)
I want to be where all the stupid shit I say sounds so romantic and true (Guardian, WeiLan) Someday I will write a longer and more complicated series of Guardian sex pollen shenanigans, but until then, enjoy this one.
The Rightful Ruler (The Blood of Youth, Lei Wujie/Xiao Se) Still the only English-language story on AO3 for this pairing! Includes maybe the funniest line I wrote all year? You make the call!
The Doctor is In (Psych-Hunter) I know nobody watched Psych-Hunter, and with good reason, but I did, and I think Jiang Shuo should get to spy on the sexy gay doctor if he wants to.
June
A Single Explosion (DMBJ, Pangxi + Xiao Ge) For PingPang Week, with @pangzi in mind. Here's the missing part of Ultimate Note, where Pangzi takes care of Xiao Ge in the hospital.
Dog (The Disguiser, Ah Cheng/Ming Lou) This was actually written before I saw the post going around about how the sexiest thing one guy can be is another's dog. But it's true!
And I am green, and you are wood (DMBJ/Mystic Nine) Another exchange fic, where Liang Wan gets a chance to meet all of Zhang Rishan's old (boy)friends, especially Ba Ye.
Reverse Cowgirl (Not Gay as in Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, Queer as in Dude Ranch) (@shousetsubangbang) Is this the hottest thing I've ever written for SSBB? Might just be. Lesbian ranch hands recruit a city girl.
July
Stay (Beyond Evil, Oh Jihwa/Yu Jaeyi) Because you know what that show needed? Small town lesbians.
Little Spear (The Blood of Youth, Sikong Qianluo/Xiao Se) This show has some cute het, but how it would work in bed is another matter entirely; or, two gay people try to have straight sex.
动须相应 (live-action Hikaru no Go, Yu Liang/Shi Guang) It's hard to get much gayer than the actual show without adding explicit sex, so ... here you go! Post-series boyfriends.
One Quiet Night (Kingdom, Seobi + Lee Chang/Yeongshin) This is the other thing I'm really proud of, because it too came out pretty much exactly the way I envisioned it. A nurse, a prince, and a scrappy piece of shit more or less all fall in love.
August
Hooks in My Sides (Beyond Evil, JWDS) This certainly was the most popular thing I've written all year. It's unfortunately easy to write poor Juwon having a gay meltdown.
A World Made Up of Silver and Copper (@shousetsubangbang) A prince-and-pauper scenario, this time focusing on the prince's adventures in being mistaken for himself. (Hint: they are sexy.)
September
...Funny how the first months of each semester are usually a complete wash for me creatively, huh?
October
to the beat of your heart, ch. 5 (MDZS)
Over My Dead Body (@shousetsubangbang) Nothing like the romance of possessing a corpse only to find he's not actually dead. (Note to DMBJ fans: This should taste like heihua.)
November
A fair amount of November was spent writing something that I just couldn't finish for December's SSBB, once I realized how long it'd have to be and how little free time I had. Maybe next year!
December
Antivenin (@shousetsubangbang) A mean bisexual and an even meaner lesbian team up to distract their gay boss from his terrible crush.

And that's it! It always feels kind of weird to see it all gathered in one place, like ... wow, that's not nearly as much as I thought it was. But at the same time, it involves a couple of pieces I feel very good about, so overall I'm going to take the win.
The most fun I had was doing my Small Fandom Summer thing, where I wrote fic for fandoms that had <1000 English-language works on AO3. Maybe I'll do that again next year!
Anyway, if you do wind up reading something, especially the original stuff, thanks. A lot of this can be a very lonely process, especially when there's not much of a built-in audience. Saying you liked something makes me feel a little less like I'm screaming into the void.
Onward to 2024!
