About my blog
Statement from the blogger sessions
I been reflecting in private interpersonal internal conversations I decided to finally make a decision.
I share in private with people in trust my family
Now I decided to make this idea public.
Since I started my Disney blog in Summer 2020 I started rewatching Disney Childhood shows in that same year
Since Quarantine era has begun
I was really bored I scramble across rewatch projects I decided I should create a Disney blog this blog was born.
I decided I will ranked all episodes of shows also reviewed movies
I decided to take my readers along the ride!
Stay tuned!
For starters, on the contrary, My next show I reviewed next is Kim Possible hell even the live action movie reboot I reviewed
@caitmckillop gave me the idea of revisiting childhood shows and childhood movies since the blog was created in early 2020
I decided to give the courage why not?!
I got the idea of rewatching nostalgia shows by other YouTubers like Seamus Gorman and etc. and the youtuber’s blog I just mentioned a second ago.
It just my own twist in a frankly creative format on a creative free write essay
As a writer who wanted to study creative writing and general studies I decided why not
Once again XD
But i do in a unique format.
My first real review on this blog will be in fact Kim Possible some of my reviews for other shows are in WIPS
I been recovering from my author block that why it sitting in the draft
Starting next week, I will watch the overall series in chronological order of Kim Possible and other shows and movies
I am reviewing all episodes tv movies
And etc
And what I think of the characters and the arc
Wish me luck!
I start one at time with the title heroine Miss Possible. Kim Possible is one of my favorite shows growing up I love it!
I love rewatching on Disney Plus it been fun ride
I am been watching episodes out of order like Disney put in messy order on Disney Plus eventually I find the correct order
The review will take a long time in effect stay tuned!!!
💜💜
By the way since resurgence of bringing back childhood shows and streaming services
I decided to revisit my favorite show and see what I think as an adult.
It fun!!! 🤩
With love, Deanna.

So, my partner and I were watching Mythbusters last night (as we've been doing for most of the past week during our covid quarantine whoo) & they were re-testing the arrow-splitting myth — aka one of the sexiest things an archer can do, one of the sexiest examples being Errol Flynn's Robin Hood in the 1938 film "The Adventures of Robin Hood" — and because we share the same two (2) braincells, we immediately thought of him, and lo' and behold, the show had the same idea and were specifically trying to replicate that movie scene. So obviously we must pause and rewatch it, right? Right.
As my partner was totally, assuredly looking for a super legal way to watch it, I had the wonderful epiphany — and because I came across this poll from the eldest sibling tournament last week, and very enthusiastically got my partner involved in nominations, we love this poll, having so much fun. So ALL I had to say after I legit gasped was "OT3 BRACKET" and he was like 🤯🤯🤯 "YES"
Because how could we fucking forget our favorite polycule of Sherwood Forest?? It's Robin of Locksley and his ride-or-die bf Will Scarlett fighting and flirting their way into gathering more people into their 'cule, in skin-tight tights & funky lil hats, no less. I immediately went to submit 2 more throuples, our faves, for your consideration:
Lady Marian/Robin Hood/Will Scarlett
and
Little John/Robin Hood/Will Scarlett
Sorry that was so long & not terribly convincing propaganda for them, I just woke up, but they're all just so delightfully queer and in love, okay? Okay.
P.S. I know this poll has taken its toll (ha, rhymes), so I hope you're doing okay! 🫂 We're both really, really excited about this one, so showering you will all the kudos and well wishes!! Keep on being fantabulous, you got this! 💖🤟🫶💪
ohmygod. i love the entire story you've given us to come to your conclusion of: robin hood Fucks. and he sure does.
sorry to hear yall are down with covid, hope yall have a speedy recovery. and sincerely this was very kind and nice to read after a long week. i really appreciate it, thank you. <3 good luck to your faves and im glad to have yall aboard
#asks#ship propaganda#ot3 showdown#robin hood#and the fact yall are rewatching mythbusters. BIG MOOD i should slap on an episode while im countin#tori grant and kari were. a bisexual awakening of sorts. durin my yougin days. theyre tucked away in my heart somewhere#either way: you stay fantabulous as well

Rewatching Stargate SG-1 and a major plot line was a plague spreading to the whole world. I was yelling at the TV the whole time:
“LOL good luck getting a quarantine in place”
“Oh no, thousands of people might die? ROOKIE NUMBERS”
“This is it? This is the Big Bad? Not a plague AND an attack? Just…plague?”
Just overall severely underestimating the worldwide response to imminent danger.
i hate how every pre covid piece of media that depicts a plague or a pandemic is now just completely unreadable. youll be sitting there the whole time like. no thats not how it is. thats unrealistic. thats stupid. it wouldnt be like that. thats wrong.

It’s so interesting to revisit the early episodes of the campaign, and see again just how strongly Fjord came on to Caleb regarding magic, at the start.
Any time Caleb does magic he dissolves into: “Oh, that’s very interesting! That’s incredible! You’re so talented! What can you tell me about magic? How much do you know? Tell me everything you’ve ever learned!”
And it makes sense, knowing he’s a regular dude who suddenly and mysteriously got Warlock powers. Finally, someone who might explain this to him! Better butter him up and get as much information as possible.
But Caleb, who for at least the first dozen episodes of the campaign is terrified of everyone and walking on eggshells and just trying to survive, reacts most of the time with the verbal equivalent of: *backs away slowly...*
#seriously it's jarring with the benefit of seeing how he relaxes later in the campaign how *scared* Caleb is when we first meet him#he's not just aloof or awkward or uncertain about the group#he's also pretty afraid of everyone#Luck's quarantine rewatch#I'm now on#episode 3

Why Kaishin Still Holds Up, Even Now.
I FINALLY watched the 23rd Detective Conan and let me tell you what...
Why are there not more episodes with these two working so closely together? Like please?! They got that solved so quickly and just shared information with one another and can I please just have them interact before the series ends pleaaaaaase.
Yet I'm not here for begging. I'm here to rant and cleverly disguise that rant as an essay.
I want to rant about trust in Detective Conan (specifically with a look at Kaishin) and the Enemies turned Rivals turned Friends turned Lovers trope.
[Mild Spoilers Ahead]
Trust as a Driving Force in Detective Conan
If someone asked me what is one of the many driving forces in the DC plot as well as the cornerstone of many of the relationships in DC it would be trust. Most of the characters in DC are living their lives with lies as the foundation of who they present themselves to be.
And here is something that I love about the relationship these two have with one another:
The trust that Shinichi has on Kid was earned and vice versa.
I don't think that Shinichi thinks that Kaito Kid is the most honest person in the world, but he does know that the magician works by a code and he trusts him to not put someone in any immediate danger despite the fact that Kaito Kid does not inherently talk too deep about his heists with him.
Ask yourself this. Where in canon did it say that in Kid's heist nobody gets hurt by Kid? I've read the manga and nowhere does he really say 'this is a safe show for everybody!' Let me tell you where it says it: Nowhere.
So why do we all assume it to be that way? Because even we have trust in our favourite thief that he won't do something to actively hurt someone. Since the story is being told in Shinichi's point of view, most of the times, we can rely on the trust that Shinichi has placed on Kid to not get anyone hurt.
One big example of this would be in the Detective Conan Movie: The Sunflowers of Inferno:
Leaving Ran in Kid's care is a conscious decision he is doing despite the fact that he doesn't know if Kid is even going to make it out. Shinichi loves Ran probably more than he loves himself and he wants her out of danger enough to place trust in someone that, situation wise, has no business whether Ran or Shinichi live or not. I honestly think that even Kid was surprised that Shinichi made that decision.
Now I'm not going to put my shipper goggles when I make this statement and go 'OH MY GOD THEY LOVE EACH OTHER SO MUCH IT SHOWS IT EVERYWHERE. LOOK AT THE SHOW, STUPID."
But these two have something that not many of the characters in DC have and that is a mutual trust without knowing all the details of their lives.
Kaito happened to guess that Conan was Shinichi and I doubt that Shinichi is going to meet Kuroba Kaito by the end of the series. These two barely know each other but through their interactions just happen to understand each other enough to work together amazingly when thrust into a situation where they have to help each other out.
Which brings me to the second thing I want to talk about.
My Enemy Went From Being My Rival to My Friend to my Lover, What Happens Now?
I want to break into Gosho's house and ask him to please let Kaito Kuroba meet Shinichi Kudou. Like this is such a might need that I'm almost scared of looking forward to the ending of DC because I just have a feeling it isn't going to happen.
I might also ask him why the hell every side character needs a romance subplot but that is neither here nor there.
But now that the ships have been decided and canon has sealed the final nail on everything, I just want to talk about the trope that makes Kaishin just so amazing for me.
If I am remembering my facts right, Magic Kaito came before Detective Conan. Kaito was a realized character, somewhat, and was clearly a very likable chara with a ridiculous high IQ and a secret he couldn't reveal to anybody.
I mean he's a goddamn beautiful man is what I'm trying to say.
When I first read the series I could immediately tell that Aoko was set to be the romantic interest, Gosho really ain't fooling nobody. She seemed cute, extroverted and a girl who seems to really care for Kaito. Of course there was the juicy tidbit of Kaito being the thief her father is hunting down that also kept the relationship interesting.
So I was more than okay with having these two together.
I was already a bit aware of Detective Conan so I was all for the ShinRan as well. The pining, the secrets, the care that Shinichi has for her that transcends the organizations doing!
Also fun fact: Kaito/Aoko was the basis for Shinichi/Ran! Which is why ShinRan is thematically better than Kaito/Aoko but I will not go into that.
So one sad day during quarantine, I decided to rewatch the series to see if I could get any writing inspiration.
Now I don't know if it was quarantine or a change of heart or just me growing up but Gosho's friend trope seemed boring to me the more the episodes continued on. I AM NOT THROWING THE FRIENDSHIP TROPE DOWN, IT IS BEAUTIFUL I STILL SHIP SHINRAN
But I was tired of picking vanilla and wanted to see what else was on the menu.
And as luck would have it, I had decided to watch episode 515: Kaito Kid's Teleportation Magic and fate decides to deliver me a wonderful hit to the heart:
What is it about characters pointing guns at each other that I love so much?
And Shinichi doesn't react like a normal fucking person he just goes:
He knows this man ain't gonna shoot. They have had five interactions before this (if we are going by anime episodes) and through all those interactions Shinichi managed to get to a level of banter with this guy that he hasn't had with any of his other enemies.
If he even considered Kaito Kid an enemy to begin with.
Both Kaito and Shinichi have a mutual respect for each other's skill.
They test each other out in several situations and are pleased when the other figures it out, kinda transitioning their little chases to more of a 'two really smart guys trying to outwit each other' and less of a detective trying to outsmart a thief.
Shinichi enjoys figuring out his magic and Kaito enjoys the challenge of making some of his magic tricks near impossible to figure out. Their friendship is something really special and if they can have it without even knowing the details of each other's life, imagine how strong it would be if they truly met each other face to face.
I don't really want to cross into headcanon territory that would turn them into lovers, lord knows we have more fanfiction to do so, but it is just wonderful to see these two men both living a lie respectively but finding some solace in each other that they can shut their brains off for one second and just...play.
Hell, Kid's heists might be Shinichi's safe place. In those heists he is known as the 'Kid Killer' and not just some brat who happens to figure shit out. His opinion matters in those heists.
And not just to the police, but to Kaito as well.
BUT IM GETTING OFF TOPIC!
I just wanted to show love to this wonderful ship q wq
#detective conan#dcmk#magic kaito#kuroba kaito#kudo shinichi#kaishin#what can I say?#im a sucker for two men outwitting each other to the point it turns into flirting

I’m curious why Jimmy Kimmel is your second least fav talk show host? I know the last one is James Corden bc. Everyone hates that man lol and who’s your actual favorite?
I'm actually so glad you asked that. For me, it goes, least to worst favourite (of those who I'm aware of and have sporadically watched and/or faithfully kept up with):
Jimmy Fallon: by far the most UNFUNNY man in America, who only stays afloat because he has a host of decent writers, but who is worth jack-all on his own
Jimmy Kimmel: another awkward and deeply boring man whose show I have only watched to keep up with my faves--and have ended up disappointed every single time. Good luck, Taron.
James Corden: no, he's not at the bottom, shocker right? He holds a special place in my heart, mostly because he gives the TT boys a platform in America, and I can't overlook that. He's always very gracious to all my British faves, too, and come on: the man gave us Carpool Karaoke. (Well, Ben Winston did, really, but James was the one who brought him overseas. Overall, a win-win scenario for all of us.)
Trevor Noah: I have nothing bad to say about the guy, he's the Millennial king of late night, not to mention the only non-white man on this list. He would rank higher, if it weren't for the fact that I have a stronger emotional attachment to the other three. Plus, I think his stand-up is where it's at, really.
John Oliver: do I even need to explain myself? He's the only one who can swear, and he's a self-deprecating British delight. And his writers are fire. And he's gone on the record telling Adam Driver to step on his face. And he told that to actual Adam Driver. And *continues ad libitum*
Stephen Colbert: alright, this is a cheesy one, but he was an incredibly important part of my quarantine support system. And he's the most bisexual Boomer man on television, that has to count for something. Like I said, emotional attachment.
Seth Meyers: dad, daddy, father, my number one forever and ever. The show is the Gen X Goldilocks balance between Trevor's Millennial spleen and Stephen's Boomer it'll all be alright energy. His Corrections segment doesn't only deserve an Emmy, it deserves EGOT status. Make it into a musical, a feature film, and a chart-smashing album, Seth, we'll get you there. Incidentally, he's the only one whose interview with Taron I rewatch with unwavering pleasure. And this is why I'm linking it now, for your viewing pleasure: watch here. (Lord knows why the video isn't on YouTube anymore.)

Stumpy, my dear friend Stumpy, I am wishing you strength in this trying winter weather. Do you perhaps have a favorite fictional ai and maybe some thoughts on them? Also, gotta get you back and ask about your favorite caffeine fix?
Hi hiiiii oh my god hii hello!
Speaking of caffeine, I have coffee right now. Coffee forever. Espresso as a treat. Beans as fuel to make it through work.
Now onto your question. Do I have a favorite fictional ai? Me? with the ai tag? with the ai fusion/possession stuff ? and the brain problems? and the fanfic?
anyways I will embarrass myself below the readmore.
AI favs from like 2003 to Now are Cortana, Some versions of Church RVB, Glados, Nick Valentine, Roland, BT-7274, Murderbot if it counts, basically anyone who isn't Wheatley or Guilty Spark (but I still appreciate them and their roles in the games they appear in.) Transhumanism dude, othering...metaphors...waves hand.
Anyways the current brain problems are latched onto Roland. Just answering this ask makes me want to play SpOps again. He’s my favorite guy but to find his content you have to Dig.
Roland falls into the halo trope of sassy ai but he's also got some really fun aspects we should explore more. He's got a strict moral code but it really depends on him, in a way? Halo 5 he’s not included in the Cortana conversation and is rightfully upset that they’re “throwing her out the airlock” because she lived too long? In SpOps, he goes to confront Halsey about her betraying Captain Lasky's trust and then is strong enough to fight and win an override code which is then never addressed again. But then he gets bored, crashes Spartan Ops, and doesn't even warn them about his plans when the planet is breaking apart around them. Cortana at least tells Chief when he isn't going to like something.
SpOps is a bit of a slog but the dialogue drives me insane and the actors are obviously having fun with it. The AI that is running your ship and constantly keeping you alive is bullying you because he’s bored. Miller and Roland make each other worse and I am going to make them even worse.
I feel like I need to credit and praise Katwylder and Iron and Gold in here because her work has inspired many many ideas and basically her writing and parts from Fall of Reach are how I describe AI stuff. If you like my stuff you will love hers.
^He’s making ex-girlfriend jokes to the fleet admiral. Halo Ron Perlman. The closest thing Master Chief has to a dad.
I’ve gotten very attached to this funny little hologram and written way too many words about him. AI and Roland are very interesting to me and I wish we could see more. He’s so young compared to the others and he’s stuck on the ship with the worst luck. He’s definitely going to have an atypical service record and also maybe be kind of weird/ fucked up from integrating with the forerunner engines they bolted onto the Infinity.
A...I.... I’m going insane on tumblr instead of the privacy of discord dms but I’ve done a lot of noodling on them during quarantine and being enabled to try writing. No matter the media, the idea of an inhuman being that operates on another timescale than us, but is duty-bound to make sure humans come to no harm and the interactions that follow are wonderful. Yes we will packbond to the voice in the computer while we hurdle through space. Yes human behavior is a mystery, you could read all of the theory and have access to all of recorded history but it still won’t explain why the humans act the way they do.
AI! you call their name to get their attention and they rewatch the last few minutes of video, take note of your vitals, expression, and body language, review your recent conversations for clues and details about your mood, look at your calendar to know your schedule, and know when you last ate, slept, etc and how well. they know everything, or as much as possible, but they still cannot predict human behavior, because it isn't really a science, but they can try. It’s a sentient being on an entirely different scale and so far from human but also not a cold unfeeling machine.
I’ve been entirely too open in this post. Do not perceive me. I’m still close to burning the house down over Infinite.
#asks#hi hii i am not tagging this its all insane rambling#ai tag#crab text#biohazarddisposalprocedure#flynn friend tag#hi Doomy my friend doomy#im cringe but im free#this is the tip of the iceberg#I'm usually worse#Roland

do you know that reddit post that's like "i'm in quarantine with my roommate (we're both dudes) and we've been cuddling together a lot. am i gay?" because at least to me it has big olliewicks vibes
hey dude! i’m sorry this is so late, but hopefully you’ll like it!
Ollie groggily awakens to the feeling of two strong arms wrapped around his stomach, holding him close and grounding him. He lets out a sigh of contentment before squeezing his eyes shut and burrowing his head slightly further into the tangle of bodies, pursuing the warm heat of the other person. The body beneath him shifts slightly, emitting a slight groan and disturbing Ollie’s brief peace. That’s when he realises three things.
They’re in the middle of a pandemic.
His only human contact in the past two months, other than cashiers at their local grocery store, has been Wicky.
The person beneath him is definitely Wicky. Ollie can feel it in every plane, every angle, every curve of the body he’s laying on top of. It’s in the way that Wicky’s breathing slightly stutters after every inhale. He knows it’s Wicky because every inch of Wicky’s body is unique and Ollie’s memorised all of them. So yeah, definitely Wicky.
Ollie takes a moment to just breathe and catalogue the situation. He cracks an eye open and he immediately heaves a sigh of relief; they’re both wearing clothes, which means that they didn’t do anything that either of them might regret. Well, or at least, nothing that Ollie might regret; he can’t speak for whether or not Wicky might regret even cuddling him, let alone anything else.
He cranes his neck slightly to catch sight of the TV, where the Netflix Are you still watching? screen stares back at him. Oh yeah, they’d been watching Tiger King together on the couch before they’d fallen asleep on top of each other.
Ollie braces his hands on either side of Wicky and slowly rolls off of his best friend, careful not to land on the squeaky couch spring and wake him up. He slides slowly to the floor and places his head in his hands.
Fuck.
He squeezes his eyes shut and groans as quietly as he can into his palms. He’s been doing so well at tamping down his crush on Wicky up until now, but something inside of Ollie has ignited after spending the night in such close proximity to him. He’s not sure if he’ll be able to pretend when Wicky wakes up that he didn’t savour every moment that his skin was pressed against Wicky’s, that he doesn’t know exactly what Wicky looks like when he’s sound asleep, that he hasn’t memorised the way their chests rose and fell against each other in perfect synchrony.
Ollie shakes his head before pushing himself to his feet and padding into the kitchen to get breakfast. That’s enough thinking for today.
----
Ollie shifts his weight from side to side as he leans outside of George’s office and listens to the sound of chairs scraping behind the door. Thank fuck, they’re almost done; he’s been leaning against this wall for twenty goddamn minutes and his feet are aching. He straightens up as the door swings open and he plasters a grin on his face; no matter how annoying a long wait is, scowling probably isn’t the best first impression when youre meeting your new employer.
However, Ollie’s grin disintegrates when he sees the guy that comes out of the office and instead his mouth drops open.
Holy fuck.
Ollie unashamedly stares at the guy as he ambles down the corridor. God, every inch of him is pure perfection. From cheekbones that could cut glass, to wide brown eyes that seem to reflect and emit light until the whole corridor illuminates with this guy’s presence. From the lopsided grin that plays across his face, to the biceps that are way too big for the sleeves of his Falcs t-shirt. Ollie lets his eye’s slide to the guy’s ass; yeah, that’s definitely a hockey player.
He’s stunning.
And, the little voice in the back of Ollie’s mind pipes up, a teammate.
Ollie slumps down the wall again and groans. He’s so fucked.
----
Ollie had hoped that he’d be able to avoid all thoughts of his crush on Wicky for a while, well, preferably forever. He’s always been so careful to never let their cellies on the ice go too far, never letting Wicky kiss him on the helmet like he does every other player, never letting their hugs last for too long, never actively seeking out physical affection from him other than quick bro hugs and a slap on the back.
The universe has other plans for him apparently.
That one night of couch cuddling seems to have opened the floodgates, because all of a sudden Ollie’s inundated by a tidal wave of physical affection from Wicky and it’s just becoming too difficult. Too difficult to ignore the onslaught of butterflies in his stomach when their hands brush slightly when they’re reaching for the salt at the dinner table. Too difficult not to stare at him when they’re watching a movie next to each other on the couch and he shifts over slightly so that their legs are touching. Too difficult to even begin to process and cope with the fact that Wicky has started coming into Ollie’s room to fucking cuddle with him. It’s too difficult because Ollie is finally allowing himself to hope and he doesn’t even fucking know if Pacer, Wicky, Pace, is anything other than straight.
It’s just too goddamn difficult to be around his best friend.
Ollie smiles down at where Pacer has tucked himself underneath his right arm, eyes softly shut and a peaceful smile playing across his face, and he feels his heart breaking. If he wants to preserve their friendship beyond this quarantine in any way shape or form, he needs to stop indulging himself like this. What if Pacer’s angry because Ollie’s taken advantage of him because Ollie’s using this- this thing between them to selfishly fulfill his own wants? What if Pacer’s only comfortable doing this because he thinks Ollie’s straight? What if-
Ollie squeezes his eyes shut and curls his hand into the sleeve of Pacer’s shirt, forcing that line of thought to come screeching to a halt before it becomes a trainwreck. He needs to stop thinking like that; Pacer’s not gonna abandon him after three years of friendship and being lineys because of some no homo, bro bullshit. Or at least, Ollie hopes he wouldn’t. Pacer’s not that kind of person.
(Aww, fuck. He also needs to stop referring to him as Pacer in his head. He needs to distance himself from Wicky somehow, and he’s definitely not going to pull away from him physically, especially as they’re each the other’s only source of human contact for the next month or nine, so emotional distancing will have to do.)
He heaves a sigh and lets himself slump against the headboard, careful to make sure that Wicky’s head doesn’t fall too quickly from where it’s leant against Ollie’s shoulder. Wicky stirs at the sudden movement and his eyes slowly open, a sleepy beam playing across his face and chestnut eyes staring intently at Ollie like he’s the moon gazing upon the sun.
Ollie muffles a groan. He just doesn’t know what to think anymore.
----
The second that Ollie and Pacer Wicks step onto the ice together for the first time it feels electric. They complement each other in every way; Pacer skates slightly faster than Ollie does, whilst Ollie has a slightly more accurate pass that finds Pacer every single time. It’s like they were made for each other.
It’s fantastic.
(It’s torturous.)
Ollie finds himself spending even more time with Wicky than he originally planned for, and things just keep going from good to great.
(They go from bad to worse)
They have the same taste in films to the extent that they now have a monthly The Princess Bride rewatch. They’re both cat people and it’s slipped into their pre-game routine to go for a walk together, looking for the neighbourhood cats and calling pspspspsp to them in the hopes that they’ll come running and grant them good luck before the game. They’ve won every game that they’ve stroked a cat before, so Ollie isn’t really inclined to let go of the superstition, and, judging by the way Wicky grins at the little fuzzballs, Wicky is equally reluctant to stop their pre-game walks. The best thing they have in common is that both of their leases are up at the end of this month; who’s Ollie to pass up the opportunity to live with the guy that’s rapidly becoming the most important person in his life?
(Ollie’s an absolute fool. Living with Wicky is going to kill him very slowly and definitely isn’t the way to rid himself of a crush that’s quickly morphing into something even more serious.
Ollie is, once again, fucked.)
----
Ollie tries to pull away slowly rather than withdrawing all physical affection at once. It’s painful, but if it keeps Wicky from hating him, Ollie will gladly do it. Heck, if it was to protect Wicky, Ollie would do anything.
He starts slowly. He shifts over a bit on the couch, leaving a deliberate gap between them on the couch, so that no wandering limbs can reach out for each other. He makes sure to hold out the condiments at dinner, so that there’s no way for either of them to find an excuse for their fingers to touch, no matter how much Ollie hungers for it. He starts spending more time in his room, doing his online college courses there, rather than in the living room like he usually does. He goes to bed earlier, hoping, wishing, praying that Wicks doesn’t try to join him for a cuddle.
(Ollie ignores the little voice in the back of his mind that’s screaming to feel the press of Wicky’s warm body against his again. He ignores the wounded glances that he receives from Wicky every time he avoids eye contact. He ignores the aching pangs inside of his chest that appear whenever he spends too long gazing at Ollie.)
----
Moving in together is the best idea and the worst idea that Ollie’s ever gone along with.
Pros: He gets to spend every day with Wicky.
Cons: Spending every day with Wicky might actually kill him soon. RIP Oliver O’Meara. Cause of Death: Walking into the kitchen and seeing Wicky topless and sleep rumpled, muscles rippling as he reaches for the coffee.
Pros: He knows Wicky almost as well as he knows himself.
Cons: He now knows that Wicky is hung up on someone after one particularly drunken ramble.
(Fuck.)
----
It’s a week after the first cuddling incident that Wicky pulls open the door to Ollie’s room and marches in, eyebrows lowered and eyebags darker than ever. Ollie immediately slams the lid of his laptop shut, straightening up from where he’s slumped against the headboard of his bed. He frowns. “What’s up, Wicky?”
Wicky freezes on the other side of the room. “What’s up?” he says, voice cracking and strangled. Yikes, this must be worse than Ollie thought it was. “You’re asking me what’s up?” He drops onto the bed, like a stone sinking to the bottom of a river. “You’re the one that’s disappeared recently.” He pushes the heels of hands into his eyes. “We used to do everything together and now whenever I look for you, you’re in here.” He tears his hands away from his face, to gesture frantically around the room. Wicky appears to be manic; his hair’s all ruffled and there’s this slightly crazed look in his eyes. “What did I do, Ol?”
Ollie scrambles out of bed to come and sit next to Wicky. He stretches out a hand to comfort Wicky, but withdraws it as he fumbles for what to do or say. “You didn’t do anything, Pace,” he says softly, resisting the urge to reach out and swipe away the tears that are trickling intermittently down his cheeks. “It’s me that’s the problem.”
Wicky raises an eyebrow at him, stare stern in spite of the crying. “Really? So you’re completely fine with me cuddling you? And definitely didn’t start shutting down any of my attempts to spend time with you?” Ollie flinches and Wicky scoffs. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.”
“I-” Ollie trails off, eyes wandering until his gaze meets Wicky’s. The look in Wicky’s eyes isn’t scornful, no matter how much it deserves to be, instead his eyes are calm and fathomless like the earth after a long-anticipated rain. “I didn’t want to hurt you, though I clearly failed in that respect. I’m just so worried that you’re going to think less of me, especially once I tell you that-” Ollie clamps his mouth shut, as words he’s barely even thought to himself start to tumble out into the open.
“Tell me that..?” If Ollie didn’t know any better, he’d think that there was a trace of hope in Wicky’s voice. “C’mon, Ol, I’m not gonna leave you, no matter what you say.”
Ollie rubs his hand across his eyelids before stuttering out, “I’m in love with you.” Shit, that is not what he meant to say. “Fuck, I mean, I like you. Romantically.” He hides his face in his hands. “I didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, so I figured going cold turkey for a couple of days might do me some good.” He pulls his hands from his face suddenly and lets them drop to his knees. “Is that what you wanted to hear? That I like you? That I might be, fuck it, I am in love with you?”
The silence in the room answers that question for him and Ollie feels a tear roll down his face and a gutteral sob tear its way from his throat.
“Fuck, Ol,” Pacer says, scrubbing a weary hand across his face, and that’s when Ollie knows that it’s all over, that he’s going to be rejected by the most important person in his life. “That’s definitely not what I was expecting, but it’s not unwelcome by any means.”
It’s not?
Ollie suppresses a sniffle as he voices this sentiment aloud.
Pacer laughs, honest to God, laughs. “It’s actually very welcome, considering the fact that I’ve been pining for you since long before you got traded to Providence.”
He’s what-?
“I-” Ollie stumbles over the words, cheeks heating, “but you’re straight? And you’re hung up on someone?”
Pacer swipes a thumb across Ollie’s cheek, tracing the trail of his blush. “Ol, when did I ever say I was straight?” he asks, his gaze intently focused on Ollie. “Anyway, it’s always been you.” He leans in closer, breathing out one final word before sealing their lips together. “Always.”

Thrift Your Heart Out | Drew Starkey
Summary: You literally walk right into a cute costumer at the thrift store you work at.
Note: These two pictures is what I think Drew would find and try on while thrift shopping...And since I work at a thrift shop, I guess you could say I wrote this for myself... Sorry not sorry. I hope you love it! 👍 Feedback is appreciated, especially since I've never really written for Drew before.
Working in the back of a thrift is all fun and games until one of the cashiers skips through the 'employees only' door and uses a sing along voice to state that she just saw a group of people come in and how they're all to attractive for their own good.
"Y/N, there's a boy that is just your type."
You chuckle as you keep on looking through the clothes on the rack that's infront of your pricing system. "Don't you know? The only men that pay any attention to me here is old creepy men."
Your co-workers sighs and grabs your wrist to pull you towards the door.
The door smacks right into someone. You lose count as to how many times you say, "I'm sorry" and after you glance over to glare at your co-worker to glare at her for just standing beside you, you finally look at the people you hit.
Of course, with your luck, it just has to happen to be a very attractive guy.
As your co-worker mutters that she has to go back to work and walks past him, she turns around to mouth, "told you" and point at the guy that's now standing in front of you with a small smile on his face.
"It's fine, really. I should've looked where I was going."
How polite he is and his voice makes him even more attractive to you.
"Still, I- I'm sorry."
Yup. You're going be thinking about how you're keep embarrassing yourself for a very long time.
Before he can say anything else, a group of people in the corner of your catches his attention. A blond with a light mustache whistles when the guy in front of you holds up a finger as to say 'one second' and you feel the heat in your cheeks.
"I should be the one that's sorry, Y/N. I'm keeping you from your work."
Your eyes widen. "How do you know my name?"
He chuckles and looks at your chest, and you notice his face turning a shade darker as he points towards your nametag.
You let out a shaky laugh. "Right."
"I'm Drew."
As you nod, you slowly start walking backwards to walk through the door. "Well, uh, I don't have to say my name cause you know...so I hope you find everything you're looking for and have a nice day."
Since there's a window in the door, he gives you a thumbs up before he walks away.
You jump when one of your managers clears his throat as he stands at the top of the staircase. "That was embarrassing to watch on the security cameras. After your lunch, you need to cover upfront for fitting rooms and the showcase."
Not trusting your voice, you give him a thumbs up. Luckily he doesn't bring up how you smile like a idiot at the small gesture for thinking about Attractive Drew.
─────
Your smile is fake when you have to use your fake costumer voice to tell the same person for the second time that the limit in the fitting room is six items per turn.
As you grab a hanger, you make sure to make it seem like the flipping off with your middle finger isn't on purpose.
You turn around when you feel someone tapping you on your shoulder.
"Fitting room three is up and we ask for you to please only bring si-" Your breath gets caught you in the throat when you make eye contact with Attractive Drew.
"Hello again. I was actually wondering if you had this in a different color or a different size?" He raises up the blue flannel he's holding.
You have to take a big breath in and out. "This is a thrift store. What's on the sales floor, it's second hand and one of kind so-"
His laughter makes you stop and he smiles when he says, "I was kidding."
"Wow, you're a great actor."
He starts laughing again but harder this time and rolls his head back. "Thanks, that actually means a lot."
The costumer slams the dressing room door open and yells, "none of these are fitting me!"
You hear him saying, "I'm gonna say sorry for her." Under his breath as he pats you on your back. Instead of your rolling your eyes like you normally do when someone tries on something that is clearly isn't their size, you smile as you walk up to her to help with the zipper.
──────
As soon as a costumer walks away from the showcase for wanting to see the most expensive items and not buying anything, Drew turns away from the jewelry wall with a pair of yellow tinted sunglasses on.
"What do you think?" He asks. You give a thumbs up, which earns you a smirk and that makes you a little weak in the knees.
"Do you have Netflix?"
"Are you asking me to Netflix and Chill?"
"What? No! I mean- what?" You smirk when he has to shake himself before he tries talking again. "No, I was just wondering if you've heard about a newer show called Outer Banks? It just came out a couple of months ago."
"No, I was rewatching my favorite shows or catching up on them during quarantine." You swing your arms around, "And now I'm too busy."
"You should start watching it soon. Like tonight, right when you clock out." He grins widely as he learns over the counter to grab the notepad and pen from you. "I think you'll like it. Text me what you think?"
"Sure." You say confuse.
He gives you another thumbs up after he slides back the paper and walks away to rejoin his friends. His phone number is written and instead of his name, he wrote 'Rafe' with a smiley face.
─────
Later that night, soon after pressing play to start watching Outer Banks, you send 'Attractive Drew 👍" a lot of texts messages all at once.
Lilah and Madelyn both stop showing each other what they decided to buy from the thrift shop when they hear Drew's phone blowing up.
Rudy picks it up and grins ear to ear, "bet you it's the cute employee he was keep leaving us to talk to."
Drew comes running out of the hotels bathroom when he hears 'employee' and fights Rudy to give him his phone. "I need to know what she said!"
Madelyn shoves her way between the two boys to grab the phone and hands it over to a nervous looking Drew.
He swears he has never unlocked his phone fast enough.

for the positivity thing — when i started being super anxious in 7th grade, my sister showed me hetalia, and it made my life so much better. after 2 years of being in the fandom i kinda drifted away. this year during quarantine i got severe depression and my anxiety got worse, since i was preparing for my uni entrance exams. so i rewatched hetalia and i fell in love with it all over again. the positive energy of the show gave me motivation and now i am in uni studying history, happier than ever!
That’s a great story! Good luck with your studies anon!

Mac + Riley
Ok so i was rewatching some scenes from 4x07 - because why not? I'm a shipper in quarantine! LOL-
Anyway something about the scene at the bar where Mac and Desi were watching Riley&Aubrey draw my attention this time. So i put my over analyzing goggles on!
Lets remember the scene:
So i asked myself; what's the purpose of this scene?
Why does Riley lying to Aubrey about her job bother Mac so much?
When Desi told him Riley likes Aubrey and she just wants a life outside Phoenix, why did this annoy him?
And his sarcastic "good luck with that" line. Why?
Why Mac looks bothered seeing Riley happy with another guy? Is it bcoz he is not this happy with Desi? Is it bcoz he's jealous of Riley but can't admit it to himself? Or is he just scared of Riley getting hurt in the end?
And what does Desi mean by "It'll get easier"? What is gonna get easier? Riley lying to Aubrey? Mac and Desi's relationship? Mac getting used to Riley and Aubrey?
You know its not the first time Mac is reacting to Riley's love life with the same energy.
Back in season 1 when Bozer said "Me and Riley had our moments" Mac's reply was "Yeah?... like what?!" He was sarcastic again and trying to hide his interest.
When Billy showed up, Mac told Jack he doesn't think it'll last long... Again with a sarcastic tone.
In 4x2, he was a bit tense and shy when he asked if Riley had a boyfriend.
In 4x4, he told Riley, he figured if her relationship was serious she would have told him. Almost hoping that its not serious.
Mac can be a character thats hard to read sometimes. But there's a pattern here...I think Mac isn't aware of his feelings for Riley (just like Riley wasn't aware of hers untill season 4)... He probably thinks the reason why he feels like this is bcoz he cares about Riley.
Of course this is all speculation on my part but here are some facts:
1- He doesn't believe that she can be happy with a guy outside their line of work.
2- When Bozer liked Riley he was on Team Riley, telling Bozer that he should just give up. He didn't like Billy. And he certainly isn't a fan of Aubrey.
3- He is very -BUT VERY- perceptive when it comes to Riley. He noticed the way Billy and Riley looked at each other and knew they're together right away. He noticed only from Riley's smile that she has a special one in her life. I don't know about you, but guys who are "just friends" with girls dont pay that much attention to the tiniest details.
4- He cares about Riley deeply.
So, long story short, i think that bar scene has a lot of undertones on Mac's feelings...
Thanks for reading my ridicilously long babbling! XD

JULY PICKS!
You heard me correctly, I said JULY! Whoosh, this year is going by fast-but not in a good way if you know what I mean. This will be my last monthly wrap up where I am strictly staying home in quarantine as this upcoming week I’m heading back to work in person. Wish me luck!
We had quite the range this month from newly released, reality, musical and then some favorites from last month that I’ve continued watching. Without further ado here we go....
There’s going to be PLENTY of SPOILERS this go round. ESPECIALLY with my first pick of Stargirl. You’ve been warned!!!
DC’S STARGIRL
I need to talk about 1x10 or I’m going to burst!!! As stated above there will be A LOT of SPOILERS IN THIS POST!! So scroll down to the next picture if you don’t want it to be spoiled.
You’ve been warned...again.
IT CANNOT END LIKE THAT!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Henry! Wow! 1) Epic fighting 2) The backstory and how he wasn’t going to give up on his dad AND THEN how he wouldn’t give into his dad. 3) HE DIED RATHER THAN JOIN HIS SIDE OR PRETEND (which I honestly felt was going to happen). His character arc and I can’t believe it’s over!!! 4) His speech at the end: *weeping.* I knew Brainwave was going to say he killed his mother. It just felt like the build up. Brainwave Jr. would have been a GREAT ADDITION TO THE JSA! AND OMG THE WAY THE REST OF THEM FOUGHT FOR HIM! I loved how they framed it so you could still see them in the back when Henry spoke to his father. Super heartbreaking. Man, it feels like a lot of people have been killed off this first season (or am I just still thinking about Joey?)
Side note: Check out the Instagram Live between father and son Brainwave on Stargirl’s CW page. Jake Austin Walker did an AWESOME interview in his take over.
This was one of the strongest episodes overall and definitely one of my favorites so far. I agree with many others that while it is SOO GOOD and I want to rewatch it again, I don’t know if I can emotionally yet. I can’t remember the last time I felt that way about a show.
Some other thoughts this episode: WAY TO GO BARBARA! Way to record them to translate later (such an awesome app btw, how do I get it?). I’m glad her and Pat came more to an understanding because I love them especially with that glimpse into how they met. Jordan’s parents give me the creeps, like the couple from The Visit vibes. I feel like Mike’s got to find out ASAP, especially because he’s spent time in the garage. Something’s got to show him the truth; because I’m really feeling he figures it out rather than being told. Very curious to see what his reaction will be. SOLOMON GRUNDY. Thank God Beth talked Rick down. She really is like Chuck in being the voice of reason. She did really well in the cafeteria too. While I still don’t believe Starman is Courtney’s dad, how cute was it when she put together her and Henry were cousins? Speaking of Court’s dad, who else didn’t feel like Starman was her dad until they saw that upcoming promo? I don’t know who that impostor is but he is not her dad. Something’s fishy.
Loving this show. So happy it’s renewed for a second season!!
THE 100
From a show I can’t get enough of to one whose final season is a disappointment. I’m not going to spend too much time talking about The 100 because I feel I’ll just be repeating myself from previous posts. However, I did want to include it because I haven’t spoken much about the previous 2 episodes that I wound up watching back to back and I didn’t overly dislike them.
As many have complained, when you have a final season you shouldn’t introduce SO MANY new characters and just push aside your originals (or the ones who are left). You also shouldn’t include so many confusing plots that are making it look like were the main points overall (like this many world concept was around since the first grounders) and playing with time in so many episodes is hard to keep up with too. Having so many people separated makes it difficult to remember what just happened to this specific group because I haven’t seen them in forever. ANYWAY, I did promise some positives. I didn’t except to like 7x08 because of it being a flashback episode with brand new people that was just going to feel like a potential spin-off pilot. Well...I actually really enjoyed it and the concept that the bunker was used before One Crew. The characters were easy to like and it was cool seeing Allie again (and this time not as the villain). While it felt forced including the orb (is that what it’s called? If not that’s what I’m calling it), but I liked how all the other pieces fit together (ex: the flame, the grounders’ language). Honestly, I surprise myself to say this, but I’d watch another episode. For 7x09, I liked being on Bardo and watching Octavia, Echo, Diyoza and Hope slowly get “brainwashed” I mean trained. We all knew it wouldn’t work for Hope and if I was them I would rather be on Sky Ring than Bardo (but then I guess I’d go crazy, so...) I enjoy the Octavia and Levitt relationship and would love them to work out, but if this show taught you anything it’s to be skeptical. I also want to shift to the Primes plot, just to showcase John Murphy for a second. THAT MAN! What a character development he’s had on this show. From the first season where I was like come on Murphy to now me awaiting his scenes. From cockroach to someone who won’t view himself as a hero. So good and something that is fantastic about this final season. They might have forgotten about other characters, but they’re doing it right by Murphy.
Well, that was more than I was expecting. ;)
THE CIRCLE
It feels like I haven’t watched a lot of reality TV this year, which makes sense because of our quarantine situation (but then again I’m watching World of Dance, but that’s a different because it’s more of a competition/dance show. I’ll stop rambling). The Circle is a reality ‘game’ show that could be easily completed during quarantine and social distancing because the contestants do not see each other in person. They each have an apartment in this complex and only communicate with each other on a social media platform called the Circle. The objective is to become the most popular and an influencer who gets power over who stays and who goes in the competition. There’s some side contests throughout, but most of the show is just people chatting through an insta messenger and trying to learn as much as they can. Alliances are formed and cat fishes try to thrive all for the grand prize of $100,000. (Wow, that’s a lot!) It is SUPER addicting and very funny. Having a voice-over narrator really makes it even funnier because she says what we’re all thinking. Just about every episode a contestant leaves and then is able to meet one other person in their apartment. It’s been cool seeing their reactions as oftentimes it’s someone they did not expect AT ALL. I can’t wait to finish it. If you’re a fan of Big Brother than this is definitely for you. Looks like there will be a second season, which I am excited about.
THE BABYSITTERS CLUB
Jumping from one Netflix show to another. Released on Netflix on July 3rd, I tried not to binge it all in one day because then it would be over (and we still don’t know if there will be a second season yet). This is definitely my feel good watch for July. If you want something that’s a quick watch and just wholesome and fun to escape our current world than this is for you. I always felt so happy after watching and couldn’t wait to watch another. While I was familiar with the franchise--the 90s movie and of course the books (although I was more of a Babysitter Little Sister fan, so I was very excited to see Karen), you don’t have to have any knowledge of the Babysitters Club to enjoy this show. I was hooked just about right away by this new series shown by me watching the first three episodes back to back. I really like how they set up each episode with one girl as the main focus (just like in the books) where she takes over the voice-over narration. Great representation and made modern to fit in with our current times. The first example that comes to mind is when Mary Ann babysits Bailey who is transgender. I liked how Bailey says those are her old clothes while they’re playing. It’s shown in a way that explains the situation without feeling like a lecture. It fits so naturally into the episode. And then Mary Ann’s speech at the hospital is super powerful for both Bailey and herself. This is just one example of how well represented this show is. Extremely strong cast and actresses who are the proper ages. I also love the adult casting and how they threw in a Clueless reference from Alicia Sliverstone (who plays Kristy’s Mom). As someone who is writing for this age group, I really liked hearing and seeing how authentic this show is.
FEEL THE BEAT
A Netflix original movie that has been on my list for a while that I just got around to watching. It didn’t come out too long ago. In the film, Sofia Carson’s character is a dancer who is a perfectionist. She gets on the bad side of a big NYC producer when she not only leaves her in the rain as she steals her taxi, but also knocks her, accidentally, off stage and becomes a viral video-this basically blackmails her in Broadway. This all happens within about the first 10 minutes of the film and the majority takes place back in her small home town (very Hallmark-like) in Wisconsin. While there her old dancing teacher wants her to share her Broadway wisdom with her young students. Meanwhile Carson has only been a chorus girl, so she doesn’t really have any. What draws her to helping the young girls is the chance to perform in front of a big choreographer that could get her to be the star she always dreamed of. The catch is that it’s the teacher dance in the childrens dance competition. While this might sound like a movie you’ve watched many times before, it was still worth it and a really fun watch. I think the kids really make the movie. They are adorable, funny and super talented. You feel connected with them really fast and want to see them succeed. I loved Dickie and how he joined the group. I think he was my favorite overall. I loved how inclusive the cast was here too (just like BSC) from a mixed race family, to single parents and even a student who was Deaf. It was great seeing the other actors sign to her. Carson’s character, April, can be annoying at times, but you understand it’s her character and something she needs to overcome. As I said before the plot may seem familiar, but the ending was something I didn’t see coming. Overall, wholesome, feel good and fun for the whole family. You can consider to watch while babysitting. (See what I did there??)
VIOLETTA SEASON 2
She’s back! I know last month when I included Violetta it was mainly me being excited to see the second season FINALLY streaming on Disney Plus. I had watched a few episodes (remember there’s 80 altogether, so even if I watched 20 that’s still very early on and just a dent in the season) and was still getting used to this season. Well, now I’m happy to report I am in the 40s and more than half way. For a bit I was watching many of these episodes a day, which told me that I was loving it again. Recently, I feel I need a little more of a push to watch, but it’s mainly because of certain story-lines that feel like they’re dragging. (For example: Violetta’s voice. One minute it’s fine and the next she’s like dying). For this section I have two words: LOVE TRIANGLES. And I’m not just talking about Violetta, Diego and Leon. For a bit it felt like each character had their own love triangle, which honestly I was loving. These characters have definitely developed a lot from last season, which allows this to happen. Olga was in a love triangle, which just recently got resolved. I think German is still in one because of his alter ego Jeremias. Jackie was “kind of” in one. For her it was more of a misunderstanding, which is very classic on this show. Lots more secrets have been uncovered in these episodes as well as songs! You know how excited I am for those. Overall, I think I’m still enjoying season 1 songs more (which get referenced enough in this season), but some of the season 2 ones are really growing on me. Specifically Leon’s Entre dos mundos and when he sings with Diego Euphoria in English. Also, Yo Soy Asi has been real catchy. I know Frederico will be coming back soon and I can’t wait to see him again!
HAMILTON
Like many I watched Hamilton this month-actually on the day it came out. It’s been a musical that I’ve been intrigued by, but never thought I’d get a chance to watch because of how popular and expensive it is to see on Broadway. So, I was very excited to hear I’d get the chance when it was to be released in theaters for a special event. Then because of Corona it was released to Disney Plus, which was EVEN more convenient and exciting. I really enjoyed it and watched it twice within the same week. I immediately downloaded the playlist and started singing it around the house. I do this a lot with many of the plays I see, but depending how good they are is shown by how long I listen to the soundtrack. (Some of my top ones are Bandstand, Once, Newsies and Anastasia.) Because there are so many songs in Hamilton it is taking me a little longer to know all the words, but I feel pretty confident with the first act. It was the perfect timing for this to be released on Disney Plus. Not only because it was July 3rd, but also because of the world we are living in. Lin’s diverse cast brings to life the world of 1776 and the revolutionary war (as well as the time after it), but it’s such a strong commentary on our world today. This is something I am continually noticing with historical dramas/pieces being released within the last 5-10 years. It feels like there’s more we can say in this genre than in a commentary piece. I also like all the analysis videos I’ve seen popping up, which just make it even more powerful. (Like it being Eliza’s story and her putting herself back in the narrative. That the play Hamilton is named for both her and Alexander.) I don’t know if all of what I see were intentional, but either way well done. I hope it doesn’t leave Disney Plus soon.
1917
And lastly, 1917. I promised quite the range this month and you can see that’s definitely the case. I always enjoy watching war films and with 1917 there was so much hype (both before it came out and after) that I was interested to give it a watch. Giving the movie to my dad for father’s day felt like the perfect excuse to be able to watch it. Even though our DVD stuck in a few places (still don’t know if it was the player or the DVD itself), the film was very entertaining and I would suggest it to anyone who is a history/film buff. Taking place in WWI, we follow two British soldiers as they attempt to deliver a message about an upcoming ambush that could take countless lives. I feel that I often watch more films revolving around WWII, so it was very interesting to be immersed in the first great war. After watching I am not surprised that the film was up for so many Oscars. While cinematography is the first thing everyone discusses when it comes to this movie (and it should be because the one shot/long shot is sooo impressive and beautiful to watch. It really brings you into the scene and has a way of making you feel like you’re there too. There’s a realness to it that’s raw and new compared to other war films I’ve watched in the past), there’s so much more to this film too. First, I like how it connects back to Sam Mendes’ grandfather, so while it’s not a true story it has real facts in it. I LOVE the score and music to this film. In the scene where George Mackay runs at night through those ruined buildings I could really hear how well the music worked with the action. Because of this I made sure to listen to some of the soundtrack and now I’ve added some of the songs into my writing playlist. I have chills just thinking about it. The other point I want to bring up is the cast! While there are SO MANY big names in this film from Colin Firth to Benedict Cumberbatch, the two main characters are played by George Mackay and Dean Charles Chapman and they are the ones with the most screen time. If their chemistry and acting wasn’t so great then the movie wouldn’t be as successful as it is. Because of this I have been watching non-stop YouTube interviews of the two of them for this film.
They are so well-spoken, stand-up guys and I can’t get enough of their dialogues with each other and others. (You should watch these interviews too). While familiar with Chapman’s time on Game of Thrones, I haven’t seen him in much else, so I’m excited to see what he’ll have in the future (as well as checking out his IMDB page). For Mckay, I’ve seen him before when I just watched Ophelia earlier this summer so that was my first time watching him act. After that film I was curious what else he was in, but it was only after 1917 that I started doing more research. So far, I’ve only been able to watch the short film he was in called Infinite. While only 17 minutes it was very strong and deep. I highly recommend. As I’ve shared on this page already, in another post, the more I hear him talk the more of a crush I am developing. It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced a celebrity crush this strong so soon. This quarantine has to end so I can make it to England to just casually bump into him like one does. :)

shitty’s like...... a real lawyer now?? working at a legal assistance nonprofit?? and he’s trying to help workers, renters, & undocumented folks with free legal advice as much as he possibly can :,)
holster hosts regular netflix watch parties “so that you all can finally become cultured”
ransom has succumbed and started watching 30 rock with holster & he regrets it almost instantly bc the dude is insufferable & pauses the show every 30 seconds to explain why it’s so good. this ruins the experience completely but he can’t stop himself
lardo has limited art supplies at her disposal so she’s started making “trash art” (self explanatory)
hours spent in animal crossing new horizons.... endless. unfathomable
they've spent at least one entire skype session debating which villager they're most like. you'd think one being named bitty, one jacques, one chow, etc would make this easy but OH NO. personality, looks, aesthetic must all be taken into account
bitty’s other Thing right now is watching hgtv shows and redecorating his & jack’s condo
an undisclosed but definitely large sum of money has been spent on wallpaper
jack has tried to stop him from going on pottery barn’s website and it did not go over well
since dex basically renovated & redid the whole haus before he graduated in 2018, they have a lot to discuss (who knew these hockey boys were so into interior design??)
the waffles were set to graduate this year but their ceremony has been canceled & moved online so they’re bitter
well. louis & hops are bitter, bully is surprisingly chill as always
louis hasn’t been able to go home to sweden since all the covid-19 shit happened so when samwell closed down, instead of staying at the haus alone he was invited to stay with hops’ family in philadelphia
hops’ family know way too much about the underground music scene in sweden now. they wish that they didn’t
on the other hand tho, louis now knows way too much about anime from hops and has been forced to watch naruto against his will (”hops!! this is not my brand!!!”)
games of smash bros played between louis, hops, & hops’ siblings: approx. 1000
games won by hops: 999 (wildcard baby sister wins a match once & hops questions his whole life. some stay he’s still muttering “beginner’s luck... it has to be.....” to this day)
it’s been................ interesting
the frogs are heartbroken that they’re not quarantined together (well okay. just chowder is heartbroken. dex & nursey keep joking about how if they’d been quarantined together they’d have killed each other by now (mostly they’re just relieved bc if they’d been quarantined together the Feelings would’ve caught up with them. can’t catch me gay thoughts!))
they do text & video call constantly though. chowder is lucky enough to be quarantining with his family & farmer so the fearsome frogsome foursome do a lot of talking, game nights, & filming tiktoks
#check please#omgcheckplease#omgcp#mine#text#oh god this is long#and dumb#dumb and long#i just need to escape with some check please characters ok!! and imagining them in this position with me soothes somehow#my writing#let me know if you have any similar headcanons :)#would love to talk check please in this trying time#long post

Here’s the thing about the escalating D&D Beyond Presidential Election ad bit.
They had to plan...so far ahead for it. For the “Marisha Report” bit alone, they had to do a fake recorded phone call with Liam, two different videos with Mark Hulmes (during the limited time he was in the country) and both Liam and Sam, and the post-effects to make it look like the first video had been doctored. They spent time on this. And not a little bit of time, like, a lot.
And that’s not even mentioning the time and effort Sam put in to get recordings from “celebrities” endorsing him, or putting Max in weird costumes, or the graphics for the “Master Debate” (plus pre-recorded Ronin questions), or the fully produced highlight video of Liam (and Sam’s) victory party.
And just...why. It was hilarious, but it was completely unnecessary to do all that to fulfill their advertising contract. They did it cause they could, even though they admittedly had almost no free time to dedicate to it, which is actually slightly frightening.

Thank you @ttlmt ily!!
1. How has your day been?:
It was okay, I just did my school work like usual and had a therapy session. Very boring
2. What’s the last thing that made you smile?:
I just saw this picture on Twitter and immediately went :]
3. What’s keeping you entertained these days?:
Not a whole lot honestly I’ve been having a lot of trouble actually focusing on things even if it’s something I enjoy. I’ve been rewatching dnpg A LOT though cause I’ve been having a really hard time lately and they make me smile
4. If you’re in quarantine/self-isolation what do you hope to achieve in this time?:
I’m pretty much trapped in my house, I’m living at home instead of college and don’t have a car so I’m at home by myself a majority of the time lol. The only thing I really have to achieve is my school work :/ I’m technically a full time student so I pretty just do my work all the time
5. Post a selfie, if you’re comfortable:
6. Tag some people:

seeing all of you watch/rewatch bones rn is my favorite thing ever i love all of the commentary. idk what it is with the b99 fandom that everyone chose bones to be their quarantine show but great pick lmao. i watched it starting from second grade until it ended my senior year so it’s really fun seeing everyone react to episode i kinda forget about. good luck getting through pelant again
it’s my favourite thing too!!! and i also think the vibe of the shows is very similar. the sense of humour is equally silly, you get pining, found family, dope murders and they’re just generally shows about good people that you want to root for 🥰 and they’re about to get to some REALLY GOOD STUFF i can’t wait for their reactions either
