are fankids still popular? either way i made some for luaggie (i have an aged up au, not created for weird shit fyi, w them that may be posted here and there w these girls!)

a few additional notes underneath the cut:

- ASD/Autism is because I headcanon both Luan & Maggie as being autistic - Luan because she has a lot of traits in the show that align very clearly with ASD, and Maggie bc,, I can (Will be uploading a text mini-essay exploring Luan's autistic traits at some point)

- Maggie has more afro-centric features in my design such as having curlier hair (which her mother has) & slightly darker skin, because she seems to be of black descent but doesn't carry over a lot of traits in my design, therefore, her kids would also inherit her curlier hair (Mercedes straightens hers)

- Relating to Maggie again, she is also Haitian in my headcanon - 3rd generation migrant from Haiti & her father being white - this is why both Leila & Mercedes have the haitian flag in their profiles

- I accidentally made Mercie's skin way too desaturated and I deeply apologise, I saved before I could fix it ☹️

- Mercie has a pikachu hoodie on!

Well, the topic was supposed to be "Wedding" but i wanted to do something related to that :3 Anyway this is how Luaggie Week 2019 edition ends. Here's how this ship happened as far as I know: Two talented artists drew fanart of two characters together, and both are noticeably different from each other. Said fanart leads to a fandom wide level of fame, and has stuck around ever since. Yes, I'm talking about the iconic Loud House fandom pairing: Luan and Maggie (Luaggie.......I could've misread that as "laggy" to be honest).

Ah, "Funny Business". We had "no" idea of the amount of popularity this episode brought to the fandom, and all because of one character.....Maggie. A brooding emo character (who had only a few lines in her only episode) gets paired up with the funny pungeon master of the whole show, and the best part? It actually fits. Seriously, it's a good ship in my opinion. With how different they are personality-wise, it just adds to the whole "opposites attract" gig they bring to the table. Luan's a grab bag of complete wackiness and humor, while Maggie's......dark? Well, as dark as she gets for slice-of-life emo characters, that is. It wouldn't surprise me if Maggie actually enjoyed Luan's sense of humor. The thing is......this pairing, at best, feels more like a very close friendship to me than a romantic ship; and from a canon point of view, it works well that way. At least.....it could have if not for the fact that Maggie is practically forgotten in the show. She is by far the clearest definition of a one-off character given new life outside of canon, and it shows with every new piece of Luaggie fanart that shows up.
