I know this has been done before but here’s my headcanons for LU Chronic illness/Disability boys:
Legend(he/they): Hypermobile type Ehlers Danlos syndrome. Frequently dislocates joints and doesn’t see why the others make such a big deal about it, it happens all the time! Primarily suffers from widespread join pain, instability and chronic fatigue. Has as many different mobility aids as they have magical artifacts.
Time(he/him?): Early onset osteoarthritis and partially blind. All of the time travel and shifting forms was not kind to his joints, so the connective tissue was damaged and BOOM. Arthritis. The old man jokes are becoming less and less of a joke every day. Also experiences debilitating migraines.
Hyrule(they/he): Sensory Processing Disorder (often associated with autism but can be caused by other conditions). Their magic sensitivity can often cause overstimulation in their other senses, and they are very sensitive to light, sound, smell and touch. They are semi-verbal because even his own voice can overstimulate him sometimes, but they don’t know sign very well. Also has anemia.
Wild(genderfluid he/she/they): hypertrophic contractural scarring, partially deaf, semi-verbal because of vocal cord scarring. Also prosthetic arm(set after TOTK). She switches between sign and speaking, whichever is easiest for him that day. They have to perform daily stretches and apply scar lotion to be functional, but they aren’t very good at remembering to do so. Often blows out his voice because he gets excited, but can’t tell how loud he is speaking.
Four(plural they/them): Dissociative Identity Disorder(but not really because of magical reasons), damaged growth plates because of Minish magic. They have very similar symptoms to DID, but there are slight differences because it was caused magically and traumatically, not like in the real world. They sometimes struggle to walk correctly because their growth plates are damaged, causing their legs to be slightly different lengths. They wear adaptive shoes to correct this.
Sky(he/him): POTS(Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), chronic fatigue. He struggles to breathe the denser air on the Surface, but he struggled with it on Skyloft as well. He has a chronically higher heart rate that causes dizziness and (rarely) passing out when moving from sitting to standing, after eating, and after adrenaline rushes. This causes his stamina to be fairly low, and also causes chronic fatigue.
Twilight(he/him): RRMS(Relapse/Remission Multiple Sclerosis). This is caused magically by the Twilight curse eating away at his body’s nerves, but is kept mostly under control by his shadow crystal. Occasionally, he goes through relapses and experiences anything from tingling and numbness in a limb to temporary loss of vision in one or both eyes, balance issues, vertigo and slurred speech. These flares are almost always debilitating, but thankfully they only happen every couple of months and last from a few days to about a week.
Wind(he/him?): A little cliche, but he has a peg leg. He likes to tell outlandish stories about it getting bit off by a kraken or eaten by a cannibal, but the truth is that he got an infection, couldn’t treat it in time and had to amputate. This happened sometime after his quests had finished, and he’s still a little ashamed of the actual circumstances, so he doesn’t open up often.
(edit) I FORGOT WARRIORS
Warriors(he/him): Speaking Disfluency (Stutter). Often repeats sounds, such as “G-g-g-guys”, or extends sounds; “Llllllll-Iove you”. He grew up poor, so he was never able to get treatment for it, so he communicates using sign while Proxi translates verbally, though this isn’t as necessary with the Chain since most of them know sign.

Directors cut: thoughts on Sky and Legend? Especially as chronic illness buddies like in Resting Together.
Hello fellow chronic illness Sky truther!!!! I’ve been thinking about this all day and all night. I love them your honor
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Sky and Legend as chronic illness buddies. For one I just think they would get along very well, and for two they are so easy to project chronic illness into hehe. Sorry blorbos but actually I’m not 😂
One big thing I enjoy exploring with Sky and Legend is the differences in how obvious their disabilities are to other people. With Legend, he’s naturally a more vocal person, so he would talk about them more I think. I also usually imagine him having mobility aids like braces or compression garments or a cane, etc. So, all that to say I usually write him so that it’s very clear to others he’s disabled.
With Sky, his are more invisible. Or at least he plays it down well. For example, everyone knows he’s sleepy. When people make lighthearted jokes about it, Sky just smiles and goes along with it instead of saying something like yeah I’m always horribly fatigued from my chronic illness 🥲.
I also think there would be a difference in how disability and chronic illness are handled between Sky’s and Legend’s era. Legend is so far into the future and his civilization is more advanced, so he would be much more likely to actually have terms and words and diagnoses to describe his experiences. That makes it so so so much easier to understand his body and his experiences, describe them to others, and ask for and use accommodations.
Sky has a tendency to downplay and ignore his symptoms until it sends him into a flare up and he can’t ignore them anymore. Part of it is who he is and the trauma issues from not being fast enough, but also part of it is some internalized ableism telling him his symptoms aren’t as bad because they don’t present exactly like Legend’s. THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!! DO NOT BE LIKE SKY!!!!! Everyone’s symptoms are different and you should never downplay your problems because you believe someone else has it worse.
All of this is something very important to me personally, and I think it resonates well with any others out there with undiagnosed issues and invisible disabilities.
So yeah. Those are my thoughts. They’re very important to me 💞💞💞💞💞

Whumptober Prompt Fills Part 9: Breath
~Also on AO3~
No. 15: “I don’t need you to help me I can handle things myself.” | Makeshift Bandages | Suppressed Suffering | “I’m fine.”
No. 24: “I’ve got a head full of chemicals; mouth full of ridicule.” | Goodbye Note | Neglect | “I thought they were with you.”
No. 31: “I thought that I was getting better.” | Emptiness | Setbacks | “Take it easy.”
Warning: Brief mention of alcohol use, chronic cardiac and respiratory issues, internalized ableism
Central character(s): Sky, Twilight
As the stars were coming out and the last echoes of the Picori Festival's fireworks display were fading away, the Chain started to drift back together at their chosen campsite in the forest. Tomorrow they would travel on to visit Four's grandfather - Four had gone on ahead with his father to give him some time with his family before his other family descended on them - but tonight would be spent under the stars as usual.
The chatter among the little group was lively as they compared their experiences. Warriors was flushed and slightly giggly, relaxed after the entire bottle of something alcoholic that he'd drunk during the fireworks. Wind, meanwhile, couldn't stop showing off the beautifully-crafted knife he'd won, tripping over his words as he admired it and related his triumph in a quoits-throwing contest.
Twilight heard Legend drop the good-natured observation in Warriors' ear that the young hero really shouldn't have been allowed to join contests alongside ordinary children, but he agreed as Warriors said sleepily that it was good to see Wind act like a child for once.
"What did you do with Sky, Twilight?" asked Wild suddenly, looking up from where he was laying out ingredients for dinner.
Twilight looked at him in confusion. "Me?" he asked and looked over at Time, who was also looking confused.
"I thought Sky was with you, Wild," said Time. "I was about to ask you the same question."
Twilight blinked. "I thought he was with you," he said. "Didn't you go looking for souvenirs for Malon and Sun?"
Time shook his head. "I thought he was going around the food stands with Wild."
"I didn't see him after we separated," said Wild, sitting back on his heels. "I thought he went to watch the horse races with Twilight."
Out of all their Hyrules, Four's was one of the safest, but that didn't mean a missing hero was something to be ignored. Time eased back to his feet with a soft groan and started putting his just-removed armor back on, saying, "He's probably fine, but let's go and check. Wind, Twilight, and Legend, check north, south, and east respectively; I'll take the west. Return in an hour even if you haven't found anything. Hyrule and Wild, stay here and finish setting up camp."
"Shall I check the elixir supply?" asked Wild seriously.
"I hope we won't need healing, but it's worth knowing. Likewise, Warriors, I hope we won't need you to be sober." Time chuckled as Warriors shot him an unfocussed look that he probably intended to be irritated. The remark lightened the anxiety that had been starting to thread through the air, but didn't take it away entirely and as Twilight set out into the darkening forest, heading for the south side of the town, he could feel it twisting somewhere in his gut. He was sure Sky hadn't followed him when he set out through the busy streets, following the sound of hoofbeats and cheering. He really thought he'd heard the other hylian agreeing when Time had said he was going to find a gift for Malon.
What if he'd been wrong and something had happened to Sky when he was separated from the group? How long had he been missing?
Twilight tried to push down the worry. If one of them was going to disappear for a few hours, this was one of the safer places for it to happen. Most likely they'd find that Sky had simply lost track of time or forgotten the rendezvous.
It wasn't like him to have forgotten, but it wasn't impossible in all the noise and excitement of the festival.
And was it more or less likely than that something had happened? There had been no sign of so much as a keese anywhere near the town, but it wouldn't be the first time a member of the Chain, taken unawares, had fallen victim to hylian enemies of one of his brothers. Four had as many enemies as any of them with the exception of Wild and Warriors, who had significantly more.
Twilight gritted his teeth. A crowded festival… someone would have noticed the fight Sky would have put up if attacked.
He was sure he'd gone alone to look at the horses.
He was sure Sky hadn't come with him.
He was sure that if something had happened it hadn't happened right behind him.
His thoughts were interrupted as he caught a familiar smell on the breeze and saw something white gleaming in the forest ahead. Perfume and a white sailcloth. With a gasp of relief, he broke into a jog, calling, "Sky!" as he saw the figure of his brother in the dim light, sitting on a tree stump, leaning his elbows on his knees.
Sky looked up and waved as Twilight heard the wheeze on his breath and realized how fast he was breathing.
"Sky," he said more seriously, crouching beside him. "Are you OK?"
Sky nodded, his hand to his chest, the wheeze more pronounced as he sat upright. "Fine. Sorry, I… know I'm… late."
He couldn't even make it through a sentence without losing breath.
"Are you hurt?"
"No. I'm fine. This happens… sometimes. The damp… makes it worse." Sky forced a grin. "And I made… the mistake… of dancing."
"I didn't know you danced," said Twilight.
"I love dancing." Sky coughed and wheezed. "Unfortunately. Used to be… easier."
Twilight nodded. He wasn't sure what was going on, but said, "Do you need anything?"
"Just to rest." Sky shook his head. Twilight thought he looked pale, but as he propped himself on his knees again his breath seemed to come a little easier.
"OK. It'll be a bit before anyone really worries, so take it easy."
Sky nodded, laying a hand on his chest and wincing. "I thought… I was handling… it. It was fun… to dance again. Even… alone."
"Hey, take it easy. You don't have to make excuses to me and you've not got the breath for much talking, so just say what you have to."
Sky nodded.
Twilight patted his shoulder. "Is this… a new problem?"
"Since… my adventure. Well… mostly."
"OK, tell me the rest later." But he couldn't help asking, "Is this why you can't run as fast or far as the rest of us?"
Sky nodded.
"Why don't you tell anyone that?"
"I'd rather be… made fun of… than treated… like I'm broken."
Twilight started to argue, but remembered he was supposed to be calming Sky down and letting him catch his breath.
Slowly, Sky's breathing steadied and quietened. He sat up and pressed two fingers to the pulse point in his own throat, then nodded.
"OK, I'm all right now," he said. "Let's go."
Still, when Twilight offered him an arm he accepted it to get up.
"You can tell them you found me asleep somewhere," he said with a small smile as they started walking.
"I'll tell them no such thing," said Twilight. "Nobody acts like Time is broken. Nobody's going to think less of you because sometimes you can't breathe right."
Sky shook his head. "I can manage. There's a reason you've not seen me that bad before. But if everyone knows my lungs are always heavy and my heart doesn't beat properly any more…"
"We already know you can't run as far or as fast. What do you think will change from knowing why?"
Sky scowled at the ground.
"If you really want, we can still tease you about being slow and sleepy, but -"
Sky jutted his chin proudly. "But you'll keep a better eye on me to make sure I'm OK? Keep a wing over me in case I fall?"
"Just like with Four when it's cold."
That hit home. Sky sighed, bowing his head. Twilight heard the last of the wheeze.
He put an arm around his shoulders. "Listen, you don't have to tell anyone anything you don't want to, but I'm not lying for you and I think you should tell the truth. Nobody thinks less of you for having scars from your adventure, any more than they do of Wild or… or any of us. It doesn't matter that yours aren't on the outside. Nobody will think you're broken or useless or anything else."
Sky was silent for a long moment, then he said, "I'll think about it."
Twilight hugged him gently and they walked on.

when their s/o gets injured ♡
↬ request from anon ; could I request the NXX boys with a s/o who received the injury while they were away and how would they take care of them during their healing process?
↬ notes ; artem wing (zuo ran), luke pearce (xia yan), marius von hagen (lu jinghe), vyn richter (mo yi) x gn!reader
↬ from ice ; hihi!! unfortunately i was quite busy this week so i wasn't as active 😵 also as someone who's often in hospital i rly related to this request :') but anyways i hope you enjoy!
↬ warning(s) ; reader has an unspecified injury to their foot, artem + luke carry reader (but they're crazy strong so they can def lift u up dw)
please reblog ! it helps a lot :)
[ artem wing / zuo ran ! ]
as soon as artem heard that you were injured, he would want to drop everything he was doing and rush to be by your side at once. unfortunately, reality means that he can't just ditch his job, so he finishes his work so quickly that even celestine is surprised and he heads home at once.
upon seeing the state of your foot and the way you wince in pain as you try to hobble towards him and greet him, artem lifts you up like you weigh nothing and brings you straight to the bedroom. he surrounds you with a million pillows and if necessary, elevates your foot with a stack of cushions too. for the entire time that you're injured, artem applies for permission to work at home, and he'll be by your side day and night. whatever you need, he'll get it for you at once so you don't even have to lift a finger.
when he realises that you're feeling upset about your injury, artem would hold your palm in his, gently squeezing your hand as he listens to you talk about your worries. he understands that such a sudden injury can be earthshaking, especially when it results in such a loss of autonomy. but artem wants you to know that he'll be with you every step of the way until and after you're 100% healed.
more content utc !
[ luke pearce / xia yan ! ]
luke would be working at the antique store when you call him and tell him you've injured your foot while at work. his first emotion is complete and utter panic, he can't lose you again- but then he snaps back into focus and tells you he'll be on the way immediately. he grabs a bunch of things that might be helpful like an ice pack, bandages and cotton pads before driving to your workplace at lightning speed (he definitely runs a couple of red lights in his hurry).
once luke brings you home, he won't even hear one single word about how you want to help him, or how he shouldn't worry too much about you. he'll just carry you and lay you down on the sofa, putting on your favourite tv show to help pass the time while he goes to prepare a meal for you. he does his best to keep you as involved as possible, asking you about which spices you want, and walking to the couch just to give you a taste test. at that point you both remember that he's terrible at cooking, so you settle for ordering takeout instead LOL.
throughout the course of your recovery, luke flits about you like a worried butterfly. he doesn't want you to strain yourself, so even when you're taking your first few steps again, luke is the one who looks like he's going to pass out from nervousness. if you ever tell him that you feel like a burden because you aren't able to do anything for now, luke will reassure you with soft kisses and whispered words of comfort. as someone with a chronic illness, he understands how useless you can feel when you're bedridden, so he knows just what to say to help you feel better.
[ marius von hagen / lu jinghe ! ]
marius is actually the bane of his directors' existence. the second you call him and tell him you're injured, he dismisses everyone in the meeting room, muttering something about rescheduling it to another day. he leaves everything up to poor vincent, who's forced to deal with the wrath of the old men on the board of directors. marius drives way over the speed limit back home, and he doesn't care at all about the accumulated speed tickets he's going to have to pay - nothing is more important than getting to you asap.
once he's got you tucked into bed and is convinced that you aren't in mortal danger, marius is soo dramatic about the whole thing it's almost as if he's the one that's injured. "but i was so worried about you! you almost drove me to an early grave, is that what you want, mx lawyer?!" he clutches his heart and stumbles around the room, which at least succeeds in cheering you up a little. unfortunately, marius can't skip out on work to be with you because pax would probably fall apart in two seconds without him at the wheel, so he relies on payton to give you everything you need (it shows how much he trusts his butler that he even entrusts your safety to him).
marius would spend as much time with you as he could, always cuddled up next to you and resting his head in the crook of your neck as you thread your hands through his hair. he'll talk about everything under the sun, hoping it distracts you from your pain. when you confess that you've been feeling down because of your injury, marius comforts you the best way he can, letting you vent as much as you need to get everything off your chest. after that he tells you that he'll treat you like royalty every day if it means that you'll feel less bad about him doing it while you're injured.
[ vyn richter / mo yi ! ]
one of the perks of running your own workplace is that you can do whatever you want, and that is exactly what vyn does. when he hears you're injured, he informs his receptionist that he'll be unavailable for the next few days except for patients with extremely urgent needs that can't be handled by the nurses. with that out of the way, he calls ogier and drives home at once, not caring how many traffic lights he ignores.
anyone who saw vyn at the time might say that he was unbothered about your injury upon looking at the way he calmly handled the situation, merely asking you what happened and checking the prescribed medications. but you know better, because you notice all the small details about him that no one else would; the way his usually flawless hair is now messy, or how his eyes flicker to you every second as if you're going to disappear into thin air, or the way his hand is ever so slightly trembling as he holds onto you so tightly.
as a psychiatrist, vyn can spot the signs of how upset you are before you say anything, but he waits for you to tell him first because he doesn't want to put any pressure on you. when you open up to him, vyn isn't judgemental at all, he listens to you carefully and reminds you that your feelings are valid. after all, it must have been incredibly difficult for you to cope with such an unexpected injury, and he's so proud of you for being so strong. vyn would help you start to walk again, and the look in his eyes when you take your first few steps on your own almost makes the whole thing worth it.

After reading the book, I had to watch this again. I have to say, I liked it better before I read the book, just because I think the book is way more emotional. They could’ve been a little more book accurate with the movie, too, but honestly the movie is still pretty phenomenal and totally worth the watch.
Updated ratings:
Sex/nudity: 3/10 (quite a few sexual comments, don’t know why I gave it a 7/10 the first time, no nudity, not even kissing)
Language: 5/10 (two f-words, many other profanities used)
Violence: 2/10 (not really violence, but there are some tense scenes along with death frequently being mentioned)
Overall rating: 8/10
📽 Five Feet Apart (2019)
Ugh. This is one of those movies that leaves you thinking about it for a while afterward. It’s so good. The ending is kind of unexpected and a little frustrating. It’s sad at some points, funny at others, and incredibly emotional. It’s really a masterpiece. I’ve heard a lot of comments saying that all the movie does is downplay CF and romanticize an extremely serious disease. But after watching the movie, I have to say that the people who say that must not have actually watched the movie, because it didn’t downplay anything about the disease. It never once ignores the seriousness of it, either. The characters are relatable, and if you watch it, you’ll find yourself emotionally invested in the outcome.
Violence: 2/10
Sex/nudity: 7/10
Language: 9/10
Overall rating: 9/10

Whumptober Day 3: "Make it stop"
Featuring Sky and Legend. Read on AO3 here.
Whump rating: 1/5
Warnings: chronic pain flare, chronic illness flare, downplaying illness (only very mildly)
October prompt info (including the whump scale) here!
The creak of the door broke Legend from his focus. He scowled slightly as the pain shoved its way to the forefront of his mind. He sighed and let his book fall onto his chest as he rode the wave of pain.
“Hi,” Sky said.
Legend glanced up. Sky was shuffling into the room, moving slowly and carefully. He carried a tray with two bowls of soup, two cups, and a steaming teapot.
“Lunch?” Sky asked as he set the tray on the table beside the bed. Legend’s stomach growled, so he took that as his answer.
“Apparently, yes,” he said with a glare to his stomach.
Sky smiled and moved to help Legend sit up. His joints felt like they were full of mud and knives, moving stiffly and slowly, with plenty of pain. Legend was breathing heavily by the time he was seated upright against the headboard.
Sky hummed with empathy. “Bad one, huh?”
Legend tried to manage an incredulous glare, but Sky’s face softened, so the effect probably wasn’t quite what he intended.
“Worst flare I can remember,” Legend said.
“Do you need anything else?” Sky asked as he prepared the soup and the tea.
Legend huffed a bitter laugh. “Can you make it stop?”
Sky smiled, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Sorry.”
Sky pulled the table close enough for Legend to reach, then handed him his soup and spoon.
The spoon was one of the wooden ones Sky carved for bad days like this. The handle was thick and round with a hole in the center, so he could rest it on his hand instead of relying on his grip. The cup at the end had raised sides so the liquid would stay inside even with his tremors. Sky and Wild both had similar ones for their bad days, though Wild usually just used his other hand.
Sky picked up his soup, and Legend noticed his spoon was his adaptive one as well. Legend narrowed his eyes as Sky moved to the other side of the bed. He was hunched slightly, had dark bags under his eyes, and moved much more slowly than normal. Sky let out a deep, weary sigh of relief when he made it onto the bed beside Legend.
“Why are you helping me?” Legend asked before he could stop himself. “You’re going to make it worse.”
Sky’s brows furrowed, and his spoon paused on the way out of the soup. “What do you mean?”
“Did you tell anyone you’re having a bad pain day too?” Legend asked.
Sky’s shoulders fell and he shook his head. “No. It’s not pain, really, more like… blegh, everywhere. Either way, it’s not as bad as you, right now. I didn’t want to worry anyone.”
Legend’s heart panged. “It’s not a competition.”
“No, I know. I just…” Sky shrugged, and looked up at Legend sheepishly through his bangs. “I didn’t want to worry anyone.”
“Well, thank you. For helping, even though you also feel like a pile of shit,” Legend said. Sky chuckled, and Legend felt his heart soar.
“After you finish your soup, you’re staying to get some sleep, birdbrain,” Legend said.
“I take birdbrain as a compliment, you know,” Sky said with a wry smile as he settled more comfortably on the bed.
Legend rolled his eyes and ignored the taunt in favor of digging into his soup.

Here in the still
Trying my hand at some raindrop angst with a happy ending. Poor Rain is exhausted and tired of feeling like a burden. definitely not a self insert. (also i probably wouldnt have posted this without @sister-nyx being rad as heck) nothing graphic, but some negative self talk, depression, chronic illness and angst (but happy ending)
WC - 1037
The good days were beginning to be outnumbered by the bad ones, and Rain's resentment towards his broken body was growing, settling into each crack and hollow inside his brittle and increasingly unstable bones. The aches became a part of him, something so familiar that he's worried he'd miss now if it ever left. He hated that thought because he knew it was probably true.
The others were always understanding, doting on him on days he could barely stand, holding him upright long enough to move from one collapsing surface to the next. Mount always had warm tea for him, Lus always let him use her softest blanket, and Phantom was always good for some healing hugs. Still, he wished they'd stop holding him like something so fragile, something that might break if held too tightly. He could feel the mix of pity and love, and the taste lingered sickly sweet in the back of his throat each time they fawned over him.
Some days, even leaving his room felt like too much, wishing desperately that his bed sheets would swallow him like an ocean and never let go. Tired of fighting with his own body, tired of being a burden to the others, especially his precious Dewdrop. It was just all too much.
Today was one of the bad days, but he didn’t know that until he got out of bed, and his knees immediately gave way underneath him, crumpling to the floor with a dull thud, leaving him sobbing into the carpet.
Dew rushed in immediately upon hearing the sound and found Rain on the floor, curled up into a ball, knees tucked as tight against his chin as he could possibly get them. The smaller ghoul quietly leaned over to touch Rain's shoulder, but the pain was too much, and he let out a venom-less hiss, part warning, part plea, unsure what he wanted or needed at this moment, unable to focus on anything other than the pain radiating through his entire body. Startled, Dew quickly pulled his hand back, before placing it down again, making a soothing hum in some small effort to calm him down.
Dew was always patient with him, more than he could ever have expected or possibly deserved. The fire ghoul constantly tried to heal the broken parts of him with equal parts heat and love, never letting Rain push him away, no matter how many times he’s yelled at him out of frustration and exhaustion to just leave him alone, let him rot in peace. He simply holds him, letting the water ghoul yell and cry and kick and scream until he aches, and there’s nothing left to cry.
He knew there had to be a breaking point though, not just for Dew, but for the others as well. A burden can only be carried for so long until it gets too heavy and you just have to put it down, and that's exactly what he was - a burden.
His stomach twisted into knots, his thoughts loudly telling him that Dew wouldn’t want to be with someone like him; he should be with someone stronger, not a weak, achy, broken water ghoul.
Rain's frustration boiled over as he snapped at Dew, his voice shaking with a mix of pain and anger.
"Why are you still here, Dew?"
His words came out sharper than expected.
"I don’t need the pity or constant hovering from you or the others. Just leave me alone!"
His outburst hung in the air, a heavy silence settling between them. Tears stung the corners of his eyes, and he felt a pang of guilt for lashing out at Dew. He knew the fire ghoul meant well, the fire ghoul loved him, but he was too exhausted to feel remorse at the moment. Raising his voice had made him dizzy, his brain too fuzzy with pain to think clearly.
He looked up to see Dew, his eyes glassy, his face showing a mix of concern and understanding. Dew's hand was still on his shoulder, still trying to soothe him. Even after he told him to leave, even after yelling at him for just trying to help.
He squeezed his eyes shut, his chest impossibly tight as he let the tears finally fall. The anger finally breaking the wall, drowning him in a flood of emotions; grief, remorse, fear, as he sank fully to the ground.
"I'm sorry,"
Rain choked out between sobs, his voice barely a whisper now.
"I didn’t mean... I just..."
Dew sank down on his knees beside him, gently rubbing the space between his horns.
“It’s okay, Lilypad. Just let it out. I'm right here."
His brain was still screaming at him, he wanted to push Dew away, yell at him, throw out words with such venom that it could never be undone, make the fire ghoul hate him, finally pushing him away for good.
But Dew remained beside him, whispering softly as his thumb smoothed the rough edges of his horns, and despite what his brain was trying to tell him, he felt safe.
Eventually, Rain's sobs quieted, and he tried to push himself up from the carpet, just enough to collapse into Dew's chest, leaning heavily into him, letting his arms wrap around him tightly.
Dew gently lifted Rain's chin up, his heart sinking when he saw just how tired the water ghoul was, eyes a dull blue, red-rimmed, and sunken. He placed a soft kiss on the water ghoul's forehead, quietly asking, “Are you okay to listen?”
Rain nodded, closing his eyes, taking a moment to savor the warmth from Dew's lips.
“I need you to understand. You're not a burden, Rain," he said firmly. "You're a part of our family, and we're here for you, no matter what.” He could see the disbelief creeping over Rain's face; he knew his mind wasn't going to let him believe it, but he kept speaking,
“You will always be wanted, and loved, by all of us,” he paused, considering his words,
“especially by me.”
Rain felt a tug at the corners of his mouth—an honest smile, fragile but real. “Thank you,” he whispered, burying his face back into Dew's chest.
“Anytime, Angelfish.”

“You excited , I’m excited.. and nervous .. but also very excited!! And wow the room is spinning a bit but that’s ok cause I’m very excited ..”
( for Lute, chronically ill fiancé is very happy to be Marrying his love )
" If the room is spinning I believe it would be best for you to sit for a moment and breath. It sounds like a possible panic or anxiety attack creeping up Lu...I would rather you not black out during the wedding it would be weird to give vows alone. That being said. I understand the emotions your feeling.
I too feel a sense of unease. I am as they call it " excited" yet...I feel worry."

Hey I just saw some loser shit on someone who was posting about the book they were working on so I figured I'd tell ya'll about my book that I've been working on for 5 years
• YA Dystopian novel
• It's set in the year 2063 and it's about a runaway teen, who makes his living by being a hacker, that is found by a rebel group that asks for his help with a rescue mission in exchange that they help him find his younger brother
• It's got lots of representation: the MC is a bisexual Latino trans boy, the love interest is a Jewish gay boy with ADHD, and there is also an asexual autistic black boy, a Korean lesbian, and an indigenous two-spirit pansexual demigirl.
• Author is an autistic bisexual trans man and a Mexican immigrant
• Lot about queer history as well as the truth about American history
• Talk about trauma and mental illness
• Protagonist is a runaway teen but the book doesn't romanticize it
• Very political the way dystopian fiction is meant to be
• Trans Rage
• Fuck patriotism
• First book of a trilogy
• Teenage characters that talk and act like teenagers
• More world heavy rather than action-heavy (though rest assured there is action it's just taking a back seat for this one)
• Scarily realistic dystopia
• Byronic hero MC
• Found Family
• Enemies to Lovers?
• If you liked: Cemetery Boys, Legend series by Marie Lu, The Witch King, Nimona, or Hell Followed With Us, you're gonna love this book.
• If you've ever been called chronically online, or told you're reaching by white queers on tik tok, this book is for you
• If you're a Terf, neo-liberal, transmed, cishet white boy that uses being progressive as a status, cringe culture loser, incel, trump fanatic, or you call trans men expressing anger "toxic masculinity" you're gonna hate this book
The book is called "The New World" hoping to be done by the end of January

I’m thinking a lot of Sky thoughts today, so have some Sky questions
1. Favorite SS Link? (As in which AU)
2. WHY
3. Favorite SS Link design?
4. Favorite LU Sky fanfic?
SKY
1 lmao can I choose my own fhghdshk The skord link in my au is named Levs, and I just think he's neat
2 I'm realizing I never shared the picrew I made for Levs so here :D
Look at them!! Levs is a very kindhearted person who will always do everything she can to help the people she cares about. The name Levs is a made-up diminutive form of Levias, which the people of Skyloft started calling him after he freed Levias and the people became more aware of what was going on. It's essentially a nickname meaning "Little God" because he's become a protector of the skies just like Levias. Levs takes that role with honor, and while it's a little embarrassing at first, it grows on her, so when she meets some more heroes, she decides to continue using that nickname.
3 I really like Loft from bonus links. I like the way em fashioned the sailcloth on his design, and the formal wear design was very tasty and yeah, I just wanna give him a hug
4 The entirety of Sister's Built on Trust series. This was probably my first introduction to chronically ill Sky and I love the way sister portrays it.
SKY!! <3
