Am I the only one who hates how Leona is written within the fandom?
Nah, cause the way ppl be writing for Leona pmo so bad. At the very least, when writing for female readers. "Leona would be toxic!" "Leona would be a neglectful boyfriend!" "He doesn't really care!" Like, are we so deadass 💀?? The man who canonically grew up respecting women?? The way y'all be tearing down his character is so sad. Even regardless of female mc or reader, Leona would be a great partner, and the way y'all treat him as this toxic, horrible man makes me SICKKK. Leona would 100% respect his partner, care for them, and love them!!!! Granted, he won't be the type to outwardly show it in grand gestures-he'd still be himself- but far from this horrendous partner y'all portray him as. Leona has flaws, and they would certainly pop up in his relationships! But the way y'all try to convey them makes me wonder if we played the same game.

everyday i think about my ideal alt-coming out story for tim drake and how i think he could've had the world's most disgruntled bi-awakening about lonnie manchin. no i don't think they'd date each other, i just think realizing that he finds Anarky, of all people, hot would drive Tim up a wall. it takes him a month to admit to anyone he's bi because he doesn't want anyone to realize what made the lightbulb go off. no one can know
#personally i love tim and kon and i think they'd be very good fits for each other#i just also think I can justify tim having a different bi awakening bc he's actually Too close to kon#whoops had too effective of a male friendship#it's normal to want to kiss your bros so clearly this doesn't factor into anything regarding my sexuality#Lonnie Manchin though#tim would lose his mind over his own terrible taste in men#dc i guess#tim drake#pipie rants

nope, still annoyed at the fact that Andor gave itself the neatest, most poignant way out of both the question "why is Bix not around in Rogue One" and "at what point does Cassian start doing things that he actively resents doing" (because so far he doesn't seem to feel a large amount of guilt - yes, he says the faces haunt him, but he seems very convinced he can live with it), plus being able to make an actual point about sacrifice while doing it - and then they used it instead for a cheap "badass" moment to end the arc on, even though it once again makes Bix all about her trauma with very little agency and opportunity to show off her skills or qualities, opens a bunch of plot holes and is still just setting her up to die for Cassian's manpain soon.
Because bringing Gorst back into the narrative is actually brilliant. They clearly can't figure out anything else that Bix has going on (not gonna rant about that here. again.), so it only makes sense. But it also actually presents a perfect moral dilemma:
Lonni is running the expansion of Gorst's heinous torture programme
he has likely passed this information on to Luthen, who in turn knows what happened to Bix
Bix cannot move past what happened to her, and clearly has violent fantasies about killing him, suggesting she would jump at the opportunity to kill that guy
killing Gorst would also sabotage or possibly end the torture programme
BUT any attack on Gorst, whose existence and programme is very hush-hush, will also immediately tell the ISB they have a mole very high up
now, you hand Cassian all these cards, and then you give him some kind of mission where he runs across Gorst, and recognises him. You put them in some office alone together, the doctor's back is turned, Cassian has a hand on his blaster - and, understanding that revenge is not worth blowing up their eyes and ears at the top of the ISB because almost nothing would be... he drops his hand, and politely excuses himself, and lets Gorst live.
Then, you have him either confess this to Bix or let it slip on accident. She cannot forgive him, and he cannot agree with her - because it is the greatest possible betrayal of her, but that doesn't make it the wrong choice. Then you have them split over this, and have Bix cut ties with Luthen and all the other rebel contacts too. This could be a more peaceful endpoint for her (she is, at least, free from Cassian and this Rebellion she has no agency in), or, if that is too defeatist, make her last appearances ones where she starts stalking this guy on her own. This way, she actually gets her revenge without needing an assist from the Cool Rebel Guys. So she kills Gorst independently of the Rebels, and depending on how bleak you want this ending to be, she either gets away with it and finally gets to leave Coruscant, or she gets arrested. If she gets arrested, her getting framed as a rebel terrorist for it and it serving to whitewash Gorst's actions to the public, actually boosting the programme, could be very terrible and poignant. But maybe we end on her arriving in some prison camp where she is celebrated as a hero by the other inmates, and hey, we could end it at an ambiguous shot of a rebel ship overhead, suggesting that maybe they're going to be liberated. You know, bring that hope theme from Rogue One back just a little bit.
Anyway, this accomplishes several things that the ending of the Gorst storyline we got does not:
Gorst's return actually serving some narrative purpose over "needs to come back so his death can allow Bix her Moment"
allowing Bix some actual agency and competence that doesn't smack of plot contrivance (instead of a half-minute sequence of her swanning in and out of an ISB building with no explanation or consequences)
moral conflict instead of an oddly unambiguous "you go girl!!" moment that the show has so far always avoided
pushing Cassian further to where he needs to be if they plan on lining him up with his R1-personality even slightly, and putting him more on Luthen's side instead of pitting him against him
allowing them to keep their mole without this becoming a plot hole
give Cassian something to feel genuinely guilty about without that compromising his belief in the cause or needing to fridge yet another woman to do it
#the plot hole in question being that there's no way in hell luthen would sacrifice lonni just to give bix her revenge#he's way too valuable and killing gorst gets them very little#yes he's heinous and yes it is in their interest to stop the torture but there's no guarantee it even will stop the torture programme#and it's just handing the empire a propaganda win on a silver platter it's a deeply stupid move from luthen's pov#and also. that went off wayyy too smoothly. she wasn't even in uniform or anything she just appeared in there and only one guy saw her?#anyway#sigh#this script is KILLING me#andor#andor critical#dr. gorst#andor spoilers#writing#tony gilroy#explain this scene please i'm waiting#bix caleen#i promise i'll stop ranting now#long post

vague rant about your friendly neighborhood spider-man while i’m rewatching it for the nth time
peter parker who doesn’t yet know his own strength, stunned in silence whenever he unintentionally knocks someone out within the first few strikes.
peter parker who hasn’t yet figured out how to balance school, the oscorp internship, nico and lonnie, and spider-man. who starts to doubt himself at every turn, questioning his allies and himself.
peter parker who genuinely doesn’t know what to do when norman osborne discovers he spider-man. hearing him in his headset for the first time and not knowing whether to be thankful for the help or weary of the thousands of implications this holds.
peter parker who accepts his help anyway, desperate for a father figure in his life again after uncle ben.
i just really love this version of peter parker and his character is so complex and genuine and i don’t think he gets the attention he deserves

Alright, so I've been receiving many asks about my review for the first 2 episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and I think that now is an appropriate time to do it!
Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man reinvents the classic Spidey formula by making a daring change to Peter Parker’s mentorship. Rather than being guided by Tony Stark, this version of Peter finds himself under the watchful eye of another billionaire genius—Norman Osborn. That’s right, the man who is best known in the comics as the Green Goblin, Spider-Man’s greatest foe. This fresh, alternate-reality take on the MCU’s Spider-Man is what makes the show so compelling. It introduces a unique dynamic that sets it apart from the countless other Spider-Man adaptations across television, film, games, and comics. By altering Peter’s traditional superhero journey, the series injects an element of excitement—and just the right touch of menace.
Interestingly, while Marvel already has an animated series dedicated to exploring alternate realities—What If…?—this new show delivers one of the most intriguing "What If" concepts in recent memory, even though it’s not officially part of that franchise. The world of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man shares plenty of similarities with the MCU, but key differences emerge in surprising ways as the story unfolds. Even Peter’s iconic origin story gets a dramatic revamp, with his fateful spider bite now linked to a chaotic Midtown High battle featuring none other than Doctor Strange and a mysterious creature.
Rather than retreading the familiar beats of Peter first discovering his powers, the story skips ahead by three months, sparing audiences the usual montage of web-slinging trial and error. By this point, Peter is already balancing school, financial struggles, romantic troubles, and the everyday chaos of being a young superhero. His talents soon earn him an internship at Oscorp, setting the stage for his uneasy yet fascinating relationship with Norman Osborn.
Beyond the shift in mentorship, nearly every aspect of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man takes a fresh approach to the Spider-Man mythos while still preserving the essence of what makes the character timeless. The show’s animation style, inspired by the legendary work of Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr., bridges the gap between nostalgia and innovation, making this bold new take on Peter Parker feel both familiar and refreshingly different.
I think that the 3D cel-shaded animation in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man does an impressive job of replicating the aesthetic of classic 2D hand-drawn comics. It truly feels as though the art of Steve Ditko and John Romita Sr. has been brought to life. The action sequences are fluid and fast-paced, occasionally incorporating comic panel-style framing as a fun nod to Spidey’s roots. Adding to the show’s charm is a great deal of physical comedy, as this version of Peter Parker is particularly accident-prone. His web-slinging is thrilling, packed with breathtaking acrobatics—though, if we’re being nitpicky, his skills seem a bit too refined for someone who’s only been a superhero for three months.
That said, while the animation mostly delivers, it isn’t without its flaws. Some character movements can feel a little awkward, and the background details leave something to be desired. It’s certainly not at the same artistic level as Arcane, but for the most part, the visuals serve the story well and capture the right energy.
One of the biggest shake-ups in this version of Spider-Man is its supporting cast. Longtime favorites like Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, and Flash Thompson are absent, but their absence isn’t strongly felt thanks to a fresh lineup of new characters that bring their own unique dynamics. While Peter has navigated high school many times before, he’s never done so with this particular group of friends. His closest ally here is Nico Minoru, a sharp-witted and sarcastic presence that Marvel fans will recognize from Runaways. Meanwhile, Harry Osborn has been completely reimagined—he’s now a wealthy teenage social media influencer. Taking over the traditional jock role usually reserved for Flash is Lonnie Lincoln, a standout character who defies expectations. Instead of being a stereotypical school bully, he’s an intelligent, friendly, and supportive teammate to Peter. (A word of caution—if you want to avoid spoilers, steer clear of looking up Lonnie’s comic book history!)
Moreover, Peter Parker’s high school experience has been explored countless times, but Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man gives it a fresh twist. While he’s still the same science-loving dork at heart, this version of Peter isn’t the social outcast we’re used to seeing. Instead, he’s well-liked, even respected by the kind of jocks who, in other iterations, would’ve made his life miserable. While it’s refreshing to see Peter embraced by his peers, this shift comes with a trade-off—he no longer embodies the struggles of the underdog, the bullied, or those who feel like they don’t belong. The classic theme of perseverance in the face of social alienation feels noticeably absent.
Among the show’s teenage characters, Lonnie Lincoln unexpectedly emerges as one of the most compelling. Torn between his aspirations as a football star and the pressure to become involved with a gang to support his family, his journey closely parallels Peter’s own internal battle with responsibility. Their friendship becomes one of the show’s emotional anchors, with each difficult decision they face carrying lasting consequences that build toward dramatic turning points.
Lonnie’s arc is also one of the show’s most grounded, touching on real-world challenges, particularly issues that affect young Black men, such as racial profiling by law enforcement. Interestingly, the Osborn family is reimagined as Black in this version, yet they don’t experience the same struggles—likely due to the protection their immense wealth and influence provide. This subtle inclusion of social commentary adds depth to the series, especially within a superhero story that largely revolves around action and adventure. The show also does a commendable job of portraying a genuinely diverse New York City. However, compared to animated series like Static Shock or Avatar: The Last Airbender, which more directly engage with themes of discrimination and systemic inequality, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man only scratches the surface. There’s untapped potential for the show to explore these themes more meaningfully, should the writers decide to take it in that direction.
The animation in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man does a remarkable job of evoking the look and essence of classic hand-drawn Spider-Man comics.
Firstly, the title cards for these episodes are masterfully crafted, brimming with visual storytelling and homage to Spider-Man’s comic history. The first card, where Peter is swinging through the city while holding a panicked Harry Osborn, immediately sets a playful yet action-packed tone. It cleverly underscores Peter’s dual roles as both a friend and hero, capturing the essence of their dynamic in just a single frame. The vibrant colors and comic-inspired framing make it feel like a panel straight out of a classic Spider-Man issue, and I absolutely adore how it uses Harry's exaggerated panic to inject humor into the heroism. What’s particularly clever is how the card subtly echoes the Amazing Fantasy #15 cover, where Peter swings into action in a similar pose, giving a nod to Spider-Man's very first appearance. The reference adds another layer of depth, blending the classic with the contemporary which really demonstrates that we, as viewers of the show, are about to really know who Spider-Man is and will be.
The second title card, referencing the Brand New Day comic cover, is another brilliant nod to Spider-Man’s comic roots. The pose of Peter in mid-swing, paired with the backdrop of Oscorp Tower, not only mirrors iconic imagery from the comics but also hints at the deeper narrative threads involving Norman Osborn. The Oscorp logo looming in the background serves as a subtle reminder of the tension and conflict brewing in Peter’s world. This card encapsulates the blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling that makes the show shine.
What I truly love about these title cards is how they celebrate the artistry of Spider-Man’s comic legacy. Each card feels like a love letter to longtime fans (like myself) while also welcoming new viewers into the fold. The way they encapsulate the episode’s themes and relationships in such a visually engaging and referential manner is a testament to the creators’ understanding and appreciation of Spider-Man’s history. It’s little details like these that elevate the show and make it a joy to watch for both casual viewers and die-hard fans.
Furthermore, as expected from any Spider-Man story, the theme of responsibility plays a central role. What sets this series apart, however, is the way Norman Osborn presents his own take on Uncle Ben’s legendary lesson about power and responsibility—one shaped by the mindset of a calculating and authoritative businessman. Watching Peter’s early superhero journey unfold under Norman’s morally ambiguous guidance results in some of the season’s most compelling moments, highlighting the weight of their mentor-student dynamic.
Both lead performances bring a striking level of authenticity to their characters. Hudson Thames, reprising his role as Spider-Man from What If…?, gives Peter a youthful, slightly scratchy voice reminiscent of Tom Holland’s, capturing his earnestness and big-hearted nature. Meanwhile, Colman Domingo—two-time Academy Award nominee—delivers a commanding portrayal of Norman Osborn, blending authority with an unsettling amount of warmth and charisma. His performance makes it easy to see why Peter, still inexperienced and eager to improve, would be drawn to Osborn’s mentorship. There’s an almost sinister dramatic irony in their relationship; longtime fans know exactly what Norman is capable of, yet this version of Peter remains oblivious to the danger lurking beneath his mentor’s polished exterior. It’s almost easy to forget that he’s supposed to be the Green Goblin; it’s no surprise that the young and impressionable Peter Parker is so quick to accept his offer to help him become a better hero.
This take on Norman Osborn is more layered than just another maniacal supervillain. He’s portrayed as a calculated industrialist, a deeply flawed father, and even—strangely enough—a compelling motivational speaker. Seeing how he perceives the sudden emergence of superheroes as a problem, and how he envisions Spider-Man as the solution, adds another layer of intrigue to the story.
At the same time, the series does a fantastic job of weaving in references to the wider MCU while keeping its focus firmly on Peter and his personal struggles. Even the surprise superhero cameos enhance the narrative rather than overshadow it. In terms of timeline placement, this reality branches off just after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The show cleverly integrates this context by having characters debate and discuss the aftermath of the Sokovia Accords—the divisive legislation that sought to regulate superheroes under government oversight—through headlines and conversations rather than direct exposition.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man rises above the countless other Spidey-related shows, games, movies, and comics in a truly remarkable way. The series expertly introduces multiple villains throughout the story, carefully developing them over time and establishing them as real threats to Spider-Man. One villain, in particular, whose potential was never fully realized in the MCU, is brought to life here in a way that genuinely had me worried for Spidey’s safety. The character designs for these antagonists are also outstanding, with some taking a fresh approach while others seem to leap right off the pages of a classic comic. Every villain is a standout in their own right. Even some of the most infamous, known for their evil genius and calculated plans, are given welcome new depth, including a surprising dose of humor that adds a refreshing twist to their personalities!
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is an absolute blast to watch. By replacing Tony Stark with Norman Osborn as Peter Parker’s mentor, the show delivers 10 episodes of deviously fun superhero entertainment. The way it concludes shows that Marvel has a treasure trove of exciting (and unexpected) ideas they’re ready to dive into in the upcoming second and third seasons, which Disney+ has already greenlit. This series offers a fresh and thrilling spin on Spider-Man, packed with unexpected twists and delightful surprises, including fun superhero cameos and jaw-dropping plot developments. The incorporation of real-world issues adds an element of authenticity, though it’s mostly just a backdrop for an action-packed show filled with great characters. While the animation has a few odd quirks, it overall works well, contributing to the lively pacing. With razor-sharp writing and a knack for delivering both laughs and gasps each episode, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man delivers exactly what we fans need—especially for a character whose stories have been explored so extensively. I strongly recommend anyone to give it a try! It's a must-watch!

insert that one utopia pic. How the world would look like if rae/claire/lene was a more popular pairing
#i TRULY believe if theres anyone in the world that rae would be willing to share claire with. itd be lene.#<- half joking half not.#i could rant about this actually...#there is something Important to me about the fact that. at the end of the chimera arc#when rae asks lene if she loves claire and lene says yes#thats the ONLY (iirc at least?) instance in the manga where rae interacts with someone else who loves claire#and isnt jealous.#i Know thats because she knows about lenes whole Deal but i ALSO genuinely believe lene loves claire. romantically#(the cooking spinoff only cemented this belief in me)#and the REASON why i think rae doesnt feel Threatened by that is because. lene is the one person rae trusts to Share claire#that being. with anyone else#claire being their partner would mean rae never being able to fulfill her feelings#BUT LENE ISNT LIKE THAT!!!! claire loving lene and claire loving rae arent. mutualy exclusive#generally i think rae and lene's friendship is largely overlooked because of. well#well You Know why people dont talk about her.#but that doesnt change the fact that they are one of the only people who can truly get through to claires heart#in its truest form. not the facade she puts up#whether that be one of a noble or one of someone just. Brave. Strong. unbothered.#claire trusts lene more than anyone else in the world even before she trusts rae that way#and her trust doesnt diminish even despite lenes betrayal. she still loves her she still doesnt want to say goodbye becuase she CARES#and rae cares too!!!!!!!!!!!#god. i know this is just my Wishful Thinking but#even beyond wishful thinking. as much as it couldnt happen with anyone else#i think it WOULDNT go against the whole Point of this series- or of rae's dedication for claire- if they could all be together.#BUT WHAT DO I KNOW!#lonnie ramble tag#<- i Guess this qualifies?

Malvie rant/yap session 🙂 im sane tehe.
I really wish Malvie was a actual ship in the movies not only bc they make me happy cus they’re so cute but more so bc I truly think it would add so much more lore to Descendants, especially in Auradon. In one of the books (I can’t remember which) it mentioned that prior to the Core 4 coming to Auradon there were apparently like alot of protests about it 😭 and adding to my point the whole Chad and Lonnie “girls can’t play sports” thing, if aks are like this already, how accepting are they with lgbt+ especially from vks??
Jay has said that on the Isle nobody gaf about gender so they prolly dgaf ab race either (theres only a few black ppl on there anyways i don’t think it was never a big deal anyways) and im pretty sure iirc, most of the villains are either queer themselves or surprising are very supportive. I think as far as identity/race is NOT a big issue on the isle than it is to Auradon, now crimes tho… Thats a WHOLEEE different story I could talk ab later
I also wanna point out that I’m going to be the most proudest #1 Doug hater in the world I HATE HIM SM BROTHA EUGHH. Not bc he “gets in the way” of the Malvie ship no, but the writers could’ve gave him sm more time w Evie but they only showed the kinda…ehhh parts ab him. Ben is,,,alright I guess,,,,,idrc ab Ben he’s such a deer in headlights for Mal it’s cringe but cute. What im getting at w this is idm Devie n Bal as couples,,,i guess. They just lacked so much chemistry (ESPECIALLY DOUG.) compared to how Mal n Evie treated, spoke, n interacted to eachother especially considering how Mal’s personality is displayed, that girl HATEDDD Evie 😭😭
Feel free to use this for fic ideas/inspo pls plspls 🙏🏾

So lot's of exciting news came out about The First Shadow (the Stranger Things prequel play set ing the late 1950s) today including the cast list with characters. And while I haven't been too focused on this installment of the stranger things-verse, I had only one real hope: Lonnie Byers. This isn't because I like Lonnie by any means but he is so important to the Byers family and any exploration of his character (especially in relation to Joyce) will further illuminate the dynamics within the Byers family (as we know and love them). So much to my delight, Lonnie is going to be included in the stage play!
But wait there's more!!
If you check out the cast page linked above, they feature the actors in character... and if you take a peek at Lonnie you'll notice something very interesting about his character design. He isn't directly styled to resemble his character as we see him in season one (though there are passing similarities to the actor who played ST1 Lonnie), no, he's styled after another character... a younger character...
I am 99.99% sure Lonnie is intentionally styled to resemble Jonathan and the implication has me screaming into a pillow (in a good way). This advances the whole plot central to Jonathan's character, that he is terrified of becoming his father and gives it an extra bit of weight. I love it. I am so excited.
#jonathan byers#the first shadow#please tell me i'm not crazy#Like this looks like a st3 jonathan promo photo#before I even realized the character was Lonnie#I was like “oh that character looks like Jonathan”#i haven't been able to happy rant over this show in so long#this makes me so happy#maybe I will go see it if it comes to the states

back on the topic of frank
frank ocean is actually a genius and i mean this in the most non-glazing way possible.
his songs r majority songs up for interpretation because he takes stories he's faced irl and puts them in a lot of rhetorical ways to get you into thought and relating.
bad religion is sorta controversial i had a muslim friend who dislikes it. i see why. him saying "allahu akbar, i told him don't curse me" comes off completely wrong. but this is where the interpretation and reading into the lyrics comes in to play (which isn't what everyone is gonna do). it's less of an offensive statement and more of a "this is what happened to me with someone of this religion" bc he was legit reciting something that happened??
that being said, i'm not muslim so the interpretation and feelings behind this song or specific line has no room for my judgement/opinion.
but yes there are so many songs of frank's just like bad religion that have interpretation in a line or the entire song.
most of his discography is that way and i love it.
pyramids is my fav song to interpret bc its a lengthy song and it has so many details to it that there's so many different theories and ideas.
i watched a video that helped me form a theory i really liked, i'll probably go into depth on it sooner or later.
i'd love to explore the depths of reddit for more frank ocean music theories or opinions but you never know what you're gonna find and reddit is a place i fear.
nonetheless i'll end up looking eventually bc i am curious.
also frank in his director era??? hellooo?? im so excited to see what he releasesss. honestly even if he's not in the music industry hes still very talented and he always expresses his mind in his work. im excited to see the projects he releases and what they'll entail.
his music has gotten me through some recently hard times. him and tyler specifically.
and this is a sort of self inflicted hard time cause i made some dumbass decisions.
but whatever frank has def taken me out of my self loathing.
also i've relied less on social media and social relationships in general and more on myself and my own mind.
also my crazy music interpretations🙂↕️. thank you frank.

Relationship Moodboard: Anarky and Inertia
@peranarkia
#Explanation Time: Overall I tried to get a sense of them both and their interests via the tools and tech and through the colors green + red#The stack of books and the cat is 1. referencing both of them being voracious readers. But the cat itself references how Lonnie has compare#Thad to a kitten much to his chagrin in one of our threads. Also the times Lonnie has asked Thad 'cat got your tongue?'#the quote: it is from another comic I love but I think it applies to them as well because Lonnie has definitely had an effect upon Thad's#life. And Thad certainly hopes he has also made an unmistakable mark on their life as well.#Especially with our more recent threads in my head (the one where Thad's ranting; that one definitely has had an effect upon him)#The bandaged fingers: These two and their squabbly and snarky nature toward each other. I also feel like they're both rough around the edge#in different ways. They can but heads so that's why that's there.#Also if there was a way to get down how snarky their friendship is it would be on here. But I have settled for a vibe of their friendship i#the top right corner#but also it being in a museum as a reference to answer Lonnie gave Thad once.#peranarkia

Hidden Desires
Oneshot
Summary: You come home late after hanging out with Lonnie and she's jealous.
Words: 2.6k
Warnings: angst? Idk, not proofread and unresolved feelings. Doesn't follow the descendants plot, let's all pretend they all still share dorms okay pookies?
A/N: made this in 3am when I randomly got a brain fart, 10 yr old me would be so proud of embracing my gayness for Evie, also so glad the fandom is alive again.
The cool night air nipped at your skin as you tiptoed towards yours, Evie's and Mal's dorm—though, considering Mal mostly slept at her boyfriend Ben's dorm, it might as well have been yours and Evie's. But Tonight, you prayed for her presence, a silent plea to the universe to spare you Evie's wrath for your tardiness. Holding your breath, you gently turned the door handle, feeling a cold shiver run down your spine. You nearly sighed in relief when you found it unlocked, but your efforts to sneak in quietly went to waste as the door suddenly swung open, blowing stray hairs out of your face. Your heart pounded as it revealed, Evie. Her striking blue hair seemed to amplify the icy coldness of her expression
"Where have you been?" The dark blue-haired woman spoke in a flat voice, her expression stony. You knew what this meant.
Or did you?
Your body went slack under her intense gaze like a deer caught in headlights.
There was a strange contrast between her imposing figure and the ethereal glow cast upon her by the moonlight filtering through the window. She looked... Hot breathtakingly beautiful- You're doing it again! A wave of heat flushed your face as you shook your head to clear your thoughts and quickly averted your gaze to look over her shoulder, spotting one lit lamp and no sign of the purple-haired girl. You cursed under your breath and looked back at Evie. Your breath hitched as she tilted her head, eyes half-lidded, expecting an answer.
You sighed and finally gave in. "Me and Lonnie were hanging out at her dorm... and I didn't realize how late it got."
"Of course, you were at her place again." Evie rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"You were supposed to help me tonight. You promised." she reminded you, and you missed the slight quiver in her voice.
"I'm so, so sorry, Vie! I got really caught up in—" your mind raced, trying to find a plausible excuse. 'You got really caught up in ranting your growing feelings for Evie to Lonnie,' your inner voice taunted.
Crossing your arms against the chill of the hallway, you wondered if it was the cold seeping into your bones or Evie's icy glare that made you shiver, or maybe both.
As if sensing your discomfort, she grabbed your arm and dragged you into the room, slamming the door behind you. Your body gradually warmed, but Evie's cold stare remained fixed on you.
She turned away with a sigh, heading towards her bed. There, she grabbed a stylish blue jacket accented with black before returning to hand it to you. Hesitantly, you slipped it on, finding solace in its warmth and the lingering scent of her.
"I can still help," you offered, your gaze wandering over her surprisingly tidy desk. It was odd. Usually, it was a chaotic mess of patterned papers, colorful threads, and half-finished projects. She always cleaned up the next day.
Weird.
"It's fine. You should rest. You look exhausted from whatever you and Lonnie were up to," she said, her voice dripping with barely concealed disdain. You didn't notice it though, of course you didn't.
Had their fencing match really been that intense? You attempted to fix your hair, though you doubted it made a difference. A vivid memory surfaced of your earlier debacle with Lonnie, where you’d spent the entire session hitting her with the blade while rambling about Evie, all on the misguided advice that it would help.
Clearly, it hadn't.
"Vie, are you okay?" You ventured deeper into the room, her eyes holding an unreadable emotion.
"Yes,"
"Are you sure? You don't look it. If it's about not being able to help you like I promised, I'm really sorry, Vie. I'll make it up to you, I swear! I'll even make Lonnie—"
"Yes! I'm sure!" she interrupted, plopping down on her bed. "Sleep."
"Alright...if you say so," you muttered, letting the matter drop. A heavy sigh escaped your lips as you flopped onto the bed beside hers. You rolled onto your back, facing Evie's turned form.
Five minutes later, sleep remained elusive. You tossed and turned, counting imaginary sheep to no avail. Frustration gnawed at you. Opening your eyes again, you found Evie still restless, her body shifting as she searched for a comfortable position. With a creak of the bed, you gave up and stood up.
You hesitated, biting your lip as you leaned towards her seemingly sleeping form. A gentle tap on her shoulder was your next move. This couldn't be weird, right? You two had done this countless times as kids. You're doing this platonically, Right?
"Can I-" Your words were cut short as a strong hand yanked you onto the bed beside her. She rolled over, facing away from you, a muffled "yes you may" escaping her lips. Relief washed over you as you slid under the covers. Her warmth was comforting, a familiar sensation that brought back memories of countless childhood nights spent huddled together against the cold. This was how it was supposed to be, you realized. You'd do anything to preserve this moment, even if it meant burying your growing feelings deep down. For now, this was enough.
Evie turned to face you, a soft smile playing on her lips as she watched you sleep. Your mouth was slightly open, and you were snoring lightly. A fleeting thought crossed her mind, a dangerous impulse to kiss you. But it was quickly dismissed as she reached out to tuck a stray hair behind your ear. a gentle gesture that belied the turmoil within her.
Her mind raced back to earlier. Why were you so insistent on spending time with Lonnie? What could she possibly have that Evie didn't? She was prettier, smarter—well, at least in her own mind. And yet, you'd broken your promise to help her with her shop, a lie she'd made just to keep you close. It was a desperate plea, a transparent attempt to cling to your presence. Was she jealous? The thought was absurd. She didn't like you...or did she? No, it was just protectiveness, pure and simple. If only you knew how she truly felt.
Her gaze drifted to your lips, and she found herself tracing their outline with her thumb. A wave of fear washed over her. What if you left her once you discovered her feelings? The thought of losing your friendship was unbearable. She would do anything to maintain this fragile balance, even if it meant burying her emotions deep within.
I might or might not make a part two idk

People gotta understand that the whole 'slow motion break up' thing from s4 isn't Jonathan saying he doesn't love Nancy anymore, it's him admitting that he's terrified that he's going to drive Nancy into hating him the way Joyce hates Lonnie. He's depressed and doom spiralling! He literally starts off the season by proclaiming how much he loves her (at the same time as Nancy ranting abt how much she loves him) !! That boy LOVES Nancy so much he really doesn't want to lose her but has convinced himself that he will! Also, this is the first thing he does upon seeing Nancy again, if he didn't love her, would he really have greeted her like this:
Jonathan Byers loves Nancy Wheeler and Nancy Wheeler loves Jonathan Byers, your honour. I rest my case.
#im off on a rant again please excuse me#i don't understand where the whole 'jonathan doesn't love nancy' thing even comes from like are we even watching the same show atp#stranger things#stranger things netflix#netflix#jonathan byers#jancy

Hii im looking for fic that looks at Crowley/aziraphale from an outside perspective for example the other whickber street traders being confused about where Aziraphale has gone and asking Crowley or other civilians noticing aziraphale and Crowley in general. Not looking for a particular fanfiction.
I do love a good #outsider POV fic...
Eavesdropping by IneffableDoll (G)
A patron of the pub overhears a bewildering conversation between a grey suit (Gabriel) and a beige suit (Aziraphale) in which their adoring descriptions of their respective goth partners are extremely…concerning.
The Mystery of the Missing Mr. Fell by treatsnsweets (G)
"Aren't you investigating? Keep the rant about the confusing relationship with Sunglasses in a separate thing." Phyllis spoke out loud, reading the notebook. "Hey! I'm not done with that yet. It's still my first draft and I needed more evidence." Trixie huffed as they grabbed her notebook back. Or Two teens decided to investigate why "Mr. Fell" has disappeared after the events of season 2.
Sanctuary by Scheissemann (M)
Days were hard for the shopkeepers on Whickber Street, Crowley was drinking, and Mrs. Sandwich just wanted to have a cigarette undisturbed.
What You've Lost But Never Had by BlackUnicorn (NR)
Mr. Fell, for that was all everyone knew to call him, was a peculiar man. He owned the bookshop next to Frank's record shop – A. Z. Fell & Co. it was called – and it had been there for as long as anyone could remember. Why, if Frank's mother, may she rest in peace, was to be believed, the Mr. Fell who had been around when she'd opened her own establishment was the very same that was still around now, over 70 years ago. That couldn't possibly be true, of course, and yet sometimes Frank wondered. He remembered Mr. Fell, of course, from his own childhood, his own youth, the kind man living next door, a little reclusive, perhaps, but always willing to offer a cup of tea and some nice biscuits to anyone in need of a cheer-up.
A Table For One by WaitingToBeBroken (T)
There is a couple that has been coming to Justine's restaurant every third Wednesday of the month for more than a decade. Now, they are suddenly gone. Justine decides to ask around the neighbourhood about them. Everyone has a different theory.
amaranthus cruentus by jilliancares (G)
“It’s not my plant.” “Okay,” says Nina. “I mean, it wasn’t my plant. It was given to me. I didn’t pick it out.” “Right.” “I don’t even like flowers,” Crowley continues. “I like leafy plants. Leafy plants make sense.”
Or: Crowley and Aziraphale navigating their break-up, through the eyes of everyone else. Or: 5 times Crowley and Aziraphale deal with their heartbreak, plus 1 time they actually do something about it.
All of This is Completely Normal Here by TogetherAgain (G)
The events of an entirely ordinary day for one particular police station in London towards the beginning of summer in 2019. ~ ~ ~ Lonnie Clarke was talking to a lunatic. To be fair, that wasn’t really unusual. It was a standard part of police work. This particular lunatic was a special sort of insane, though. Crazy like a fox, this Mr. Fell. Or, just absurdly lucky. Clarke was just finishing up with him — confirming his contact information, thanking him for his time, and so on — when an entirely different and more familiar lunatic came swaggering in with their hands cuffed in front of them. “OI! Who sent a rookie to pick me up all by herself? That’s hazing, ‘s what that is. Thought you lot were above all that.” Ladies and gentlemen, A.J. Crowley was in the building.
the best of the world in the palm of our hands by middyblue (T)
Crowley seems to be going through a bad breakup and Maggie just wants to help. Apparently, the world is also ending.

dr rants!
the squirrelly, inane edition that leaves you wondering why your eyes loom over certain semicolons and en-dashes [ how self-deprecating, i know 🎀 ]
also .. my first post, a liberating departure from the chains of shifttok
marauders; tell me why sirius black, heir apparent to the noble house of inbreeding, behaves like a broken analog clock — drinking at the sixth hour, and a mental breakdown with the occasional tactless jab when his little hand strikes nine ( i'll admit the metaphor is bizarre because i can't even tell the hour hand from the minute, anywho .. )
sirius black? oh, he invented sarcasm. and ebony locks of hair, chainsmoking ( whilst listening to lana del rey, crying in the shower ), sporadicity & a taste for gryffindor's finest, a bowie-loving werewolf
with him, it's always, "lonnie, i swear to god if you don't leave regulus alone," or, "let's deflower a firewhiskey after divination," no in-between
the insipid crash-outs & tantrums of an old-money dauphin must sound riveting, but a half-blood beauxbatons transfer can only behave so .. cordially; after all, my family's motto does translate to something like, "strike the iron while it's hot," and i'm not sure pulling sirius black's hair back as he [ i don't want to gross you out ] is what my ancestors had in mind whilst stitching gilded threads on our coat-of-arms
so .. do i ghost the anti-hero? i'm sure we'd have way more fun anyway if he was sorted into slytherin, or if i wasn't in his brother's year
gossip girl; serena van der woodsen, silver spring of her family, once said to me, "it's not my world, i just live in it." i'm pretty sure she was drunk, because she's no sylvia plath, no matter how hard she pretends. naïve me, in the dregs of upper east side bacchanals, more or less, teenage debauchery, and affairs on both sides of the tennis court — i'd no idea the roman holidays she was referring to, for death had always taken vacation on mine
picture this: a soirée, a suicide, a suit of cards ( hearts for the ones broken, clubs for the ultraviolence, diamonds for the [ well, we're bourgeoisie, there isn't much else to say ], and spades for my blackened luck )
i won't name-drop, but this ballot triggers easily to the unyielding imagination. let's just say an un-judging breakfast club was left fractured, and now i know to mark my julian calendar for the next time death and his blooded scythe strike
90s fame; how does one recover from the faux-pas, glossy tabloids of la la land? mixed reviews from critics and i questioned my steed in the oscar race, no golden globe nomination ( must they ignore me, so? and i know i could just script it in, but what's the fun in that?? ) and i'd already booked an month-off to st. tropez
a few things that i remember from this era
candid shots of me & heath ledger, drunk & the snl parody skit that followed
rumors of false behind-the-scenes drama, which then spurred into actuality 🤦♂️
appearing in britney spear's '.. baby one more time' mtv mv ( i was so nervous dbsndjwa )
i was on nirvana's 4th album cover ( scripted out kurt's death )
".. a pretentious performance that crashes into itself and shatters the film's narrative into something maladroit and unworthy of watching" ( some stupid critic about my acting; they don't know true talent or art. like at all. the movie's already a cult classic here so whatever ig )
oh, tinseltown. you pretend to be as glamorous as the age of beatniks & true cinema, but hollywood really is dead ..!
you've reached the post-script; i'd love to go on-&-on, but sleepiness strikes 💤
a reblog wouldn't hurt, eh? ( please )
ok. i'm done

Why Little Shop of Horrors may parallel some things in Wills life, and some events in ST.
Spoilers for Little Shop Of Horrors, duh. (And I'm Making this literally only because of Will's poster, lol)
First of all, the ending. In the original Little Shop of Horrors, Audrey II takes over the world, killing off all of humanity.
However, In the other ending featured in the theatrical release, instead features a good ending where Audrey ll is defeated and Seymour and Audrey get to live together happily.
Now, after thinking about this for a while I came to the conclusion this is something that could happen in Stranger Things. For example, swap Audrey II with Vecna.
Imagine the "bad ending" is what Vecna is going to make people see, instead of what actually happens. This also would go along with Nancy's season 4 vision.
And the the good ending could be what really happens at the end of ST. (And instead of it being Audrey and Seymour living happily together, it's Will and Mike.)
Second of all, the theme of ST. Now, one of Stranger Things's themes is about outcasts/ being different.
Although the themes for both media are different; Seymour is shown to be a outcast at the very beginning of LSoH.
Seymour is a outcast until he becomes popular after getting Audrey ll.
If something were to be taken from it and put into ST; it would likely show a character going from a outcast to a hero.
Third of all, let's go back to the first release.
Audrey sacrifices herself by asking Seymour to feed her to Audrey II, because she believes it is the only way to ensure Seymour's success and well, happiness.
And since this whole rant is about parallels, this could parallel Eddie in Season 4.
Or.. imagine if this means a certain someone will sacrifice themselves to Vecna to protect one of the members of the party. I could definitely see Will sacrificing himself, but somebody stopping him. This would be in character considering that Will has been shown to be self sacrificial before, and I wouldn't doubt the show would showcase this aspect of his character again.
And lastly, the songs.
Skid Row:
• Seymour talks about Mushnik's mistreatment of himself, which may parallel Lonnie.
"Poor! All my life I've always been poor."
The Byers are constantly stated to have money problems
"He took me in, gave me shelter, a bed, Crust of bread and a job. Treats me like dirt, calls me a slob."
Seymour dreams about leaving Skid Row, claiming if he doesn't he'll rot there.
"Someone gimme my shot or I'll rot here."
The general outlook of Skid Row by its residents is negative; which is the same outlook some of the characters have of Hawkins.
This could foreshadow members of the party moving out of Hawkins in the show. (Which would also be similar to IT; which Stranger things is inspired by.)
(No lyrics for this, quite literally because the whole song is about people disliking living in Skid Row.)
Da-Doo:
•Not much I could see that would parallel in this song, other than Audrey ll being described as something from another world the first time Seymour sees it.
"And there was this strange humming sound, Like something from another world"
This could parallel Will's first time seeing the Demogorgan, I guess.
Suppertime:
•I originally thought Suppertime wouldn't have anything that could be shown in stranger things, but alas I was pretty wrong.
"He knows just what you've done."
Perhaps Mike knowing about what Will was going through in Season 2. Mike knew Will was a Spy, Mike knew what Will had did.
"You've got no place to hide. You've got nowhere to run. " Parallels Season one, quite obviously.
Audrey II taunting Seymour about his feelings for Audrey may mean Vecna will taunt Will for his feelings for Mike in a similar way in S5.
Also, Suppertime is a song which happens when Mr. Mushnik tries to find Seymour guilty of killing Orin. It ends when Seymour causes the death of Mr Musinik by leading him to Audrey II.
This has faint parallels to Season 2; when Will was being possessed by the mind flayer, which caused Bobs death.
Mean Green Mother:
•Nothing at the moment sticks out to me, but I feel it definitely could parallel how Vecna treats Will in the future?
Also another green reference.
Prologue:
•Do I even have to say it? Id say a lot of the words in the prologue song match up with Wills life.
"Tellin' you, you better, Tell your mama, Something's gonna get her. "
Directly parallels Will telling Joyce to run with the Christmas lights.
And as Noah stated, Will will be protecting Joyce more in S5.
"Call a Cop"
Cough cough, Hopper.
"Ooh, hit the dirt, baby."
When Will first sees the Demogorgan, he bikes into the dirt.
"Something's comin' down, down the street for you!" When Will first sees the Demogorgan, it's on the street.
Somewhere That's Green:
•I don't think most of the lyrics here mean anything, but..
"And I dream of a place, Where we could be together at last"
Will probably dreams of a world where he can be supported for being queer, a world where him and Mike could be together.
"As the sun sets in the west"
Yellow and Blue meet in the west.
"Far from Skid Row, I dream we'll go, Somewhere that's green."
Once again, I don't think anyone in the party wants to stay in Hawkins forever. That's just my perspective though.
Also, Blue + Yellow = Green
Suddenly, Seymour:
•Self explanatory.
"Suddenly, Seymour is here to provide you."
"Sweet understanding, Seymour's your friend"
The song is about how Seymour treats Audrey, which could parallel how Mike treats Will, or vise versa.
"Nobody else treated me kindly. Daddy left early, Mama was poor"
Well, this is obviously a parallel. The Byers are definitely far from wealthy, and Lonnie did leave. And Will has stated before that Mike is the only one that doesn't coddle him.
"Please understand that it's still strange and frightening"
Having queer feelings in the 80s/90s along with the whole UD thing is pretty frightening.
Feed Me Seymour:
•Could possibly foreshadow Vecna trying to manipulate Will into joining him, but that's a big stretch.
But the most likely parallel is it could be representative of the Mind Flayer in Will's mind in Season Two.
In LSoH, Audrey II quite literally manipulates Seymour in a way. The only reason Seymour killed Mushnik and Orin was because of Audrey II.
Which lines up with Will saying "He made me do it" in Season Two; and the death of Bob which was directly the fault of The Mindflayers influence.
(Also, the whole Feed Me narrative can be viewed as how Will fed the Mind Flayer information.)
The Meek Shall Inherit:
•As I stated before, this song could parallel a member of the party becoming famous. Other than that, not much else can be said.
"And you're a meek little guy"
Meek; an attitude or quality of heart whereby a person is willing to accept and submit without resistance to the will and desire of someone else.
Sound familiar?
Grow For Me:
•Doesn't seem to have any parallels to Will, but it's similar to the whole Dustin & Dart arc.
Some Fun Now:
•Alot of explosive talk, and there's been a lot of fire/explosives in ST.
"Then he lit a fuse and give him room."
"He started an explosion, holy cow!"
"That thing went bang, kaboom"
However, I would say the most likely thing this could parallel in Will's life would be the fireworks used in Season Three to defeat the Mind Flayer.
Conclusion..
I feel like LSoH has many similarities to Will's life, and there could be even more in S5.
But, who knows! These could all just be coincidences and I'm just looking too far into it.
Most of these are probably not on purpose, and a lot of these are probably stretches.. but I had fun making this and that's all that matters.

Sumerian has announced that they are doing a sequel to American Satan called American Satan: the beast goes on(get it, the beat goes o-? Never mind) and a comic book based on the Relentless. Here's my unwanted 2 cents.
Starting with the comic book. I don't have a lot of strong feelings about it, tbh. It looks promising and I will buy it for my collection, but that's pretty much all I have to say about that one. The fact that the comic book looks like it's set around the time of the show probably means that the comic book will serve as a season 2 because yes, Andy looks amazing and has barely changed since they filmed season one 6 years ago, however, the fact that he has a good 20 new tattoos since then makes things very difficult.
It won't work unless they cover all of those tattoos plus try and replicate the one he had covered up since then. So doing a comic book is actually a pretty good solution.

The art looks good and I'm happy that they went with the PC casting/aesthetic to keep things "cohesive" also probably means that Bella Thorne will be returning for the movie. That's about all I have to say about the comics. As for the new movie, I have a LOT to say.
Season 2 of PC has been promised to us over and over again, and we've gotten nothing.
(Read statement below)

Ash(derogatory) claims that it is due to budget and covid and that he was "called" to make that wrestler movie that he mentions in the statement, but seeing as they were supposed to start filming last year and have it released over the summer of 2023, I think those are just excuses(specifically the covid excuse. The only reason it would've still been an issue was if the rumor of Ash refusing to begin filming due to vaccine restrictions on sets werw true, and if anyone remembers the anti vax rant he went on using all of Sumerians socials, this shouldn't surprise you). The post of them announcing that they had parted ways with Amazon Prime and were going to film it on their own released on their Instagram over 2 years ago at this point. Andy was on tour 90% of 2023 so I don't know how Ash thought that was going to work either way.
As for Andy being attached to the project. I don't know how that worked out, but considering Andy had openly talked about how dirty Sumerian had done the band, I seriously doubt he did it for Ash(Lilith has also spoken about how awful the label was to her so again, I doubt Andy did it because he likes the guy). I have two guesses. Well, kind of three I guess.
1. He genuinely just loves the character/universe and is willing to continue on with the project so he can continue playing Johnny(also possible that Andy didn't want to do an entire show again and they had to switch to a movie to keep Andy attached).
2. Andy is under contract and had to fulfill his obligation of filming one more project.
3. A combination of the two. Andy can still want to play the character, but not want to film with Ash/Sumerian, but has to under contract.
There's also the option that Andy could be cut entirely out of the film if it's set after the events of American Satan. They could simply say he was in jail or rehab or something. The movie will tank without Andy so I hope Ash isn't that stupid.
As for the rest of the cast, since they only released drawings of Johnny and Lily, I have no idea if the rest of the cast is attached to the film.
Andy doesn't follow Sumerian or Ash anymore on Instagram, but tbf, he only follows the band and Lilith so that doesn't mean much. Ash however does not follow Andy so I'm guessing there is still some sort of beef there(Lonny unfollowed Sumerian and Ash too which is hilarious cause how did you piss off that sweet baby???)
All that to say. The comic book will probably come out, they already have artwork so it's been made, however I will not hold my breath for a movie until they are on set. Even then, it took over 2 years for PC to come out so I also don't believe them when they say the movie will release next year either. Again, not until we have a trailer and a release date.
Thats all I have for that, let me know y'alls opinions!
