ok but the difference between the S1 and S2 Blu-rays!!!!!!

The S2 Blu-ray features Loki mostly alone, which is how he feels in this season. He's been taken from his life, and he can't go back. On the cover, he stands with Sylvie, someone who helped him understand himself better. On the back, he's with Miss Minutes, and there's an uneasiness to it that is influenced by the foreboding windows of the citadel and the slanted angle of the composition. He's pictured alone on the inside of the steel book, and he's not even on the discs, Miss Minutes is!

Whereas in the S2 art, Loki's power fills the entire cover and Mobius is right there with him. Mobius is illuminated with green light, and Loki is lit up with orange (lokius colour theory truthers rise!) The inside is a photo of Loki and all of his friends. They're also pictured on the back. The discs are even art of him and Mobius rather than Miss Minutes. It just really solidifies what relationships are important this season.

idk i'm just rambling here but the s2 art is just so pretty!!!! Loki is with all of his friends, he's no longer alone. He was able to become so powerful because he did it for them.

Jet-Skiing through Identity: a deep dive into Mobius M. Mobius (part 6) 🚤

So, through the realms of my (personal) analysis, we've come a long way to Mobius's character. From the comedic relief to the deep natural need to care from others, from fear of abandonment to suppresed emotions. But guess what? There's more. There's always more when you really get into it.

I see episode 3 of season 2, "1893" as sort of a calm before the storm : a really sweet time before the rest of the chaos really emerged.

I love how the clothes they are wearing are probably conjured by Loki for them to fit in the time period. This is more of a headcanon, but beside all that chaos, Mobius probably loved it as well.

Here is another gem from this character: although he possesses an effortless charm most of the time, that doesn't equal the actual confidence. Like he's trying to hide the lacks in self esteem with an abundance of showing off. But around his closest confidante, he naturally gets that out, not needing to overthink it anymore: with both confidence and charm. I'm talking about that line:

"I see everything, I notice everything"

which is right before the famous "You've got some Cracker Jack on your chin, what about that?". They really were on a silly little date.

We also get to catch precious moments of Mobius's pure curiosity and opening to the new. I imagine that he also lost some experiences he had with the memory wipe at the TVA, so everyday can be a new gift now that he really gets to do something *else*. That's noticeable when Victor Timely's presentation of The Loom begins, doing an amazing contrast with Loki's more careful behavior.

Not to talk about persuasive: the tandem bike? A classic. I'm not saying Loki wasn't a little compromised by the circumstances, but Mobius made himself pretty clear too!!

And at the end of the episode, I love how he stays behind to look at Ravonna for a little while after Loki exits through the time door. It's not that he doesn't miss his old friend, but he knows better than to try and meddle in her business right now.

In episode 4, "The Heart of the TVA", Mobius's natural kindness is once again an important piece of the game. Him and Loki too try to be gentle with Timely, as they see he is scared and understand he's just a variant, different than He Who Remains.

When they finally get Timely to work to their plan and save the Loom, there it is again: that waiting in uncertainty, the fear of things going south really, really fast. So he does what he's used to: try and have some pie.

Sylvie is obviously disturbed by this, as from her perspective, they should be even more agitated, just like everything else around them. And here's just a part from what she said to Mobius:

"Timelines are just lines on a monitor. Doesn't matter if a few disappear. Because you've never bothered to look if one of them is yours"

This time, Mobius doesn't snap like he did with Brad. Because it isn't coming from one of his coworkers, it's from Sylvie, whom he helped in the past. And in the way she says it, he's more prone to believe her. So he doesn't reciprocate her speech with anger. Why? Because he doesn't deny it; feeling guilty about something automatically implies admitting the other is right. And he doesn't have the strength to fight it anymore. Loki does it for him afterwards in the pie room - as he deserves.

At least he got a hot-cocoa to warm him right back up :))

Here's a Valentine's Day Gift for you Lokius Legion 💚🧡

Loki walks out of his and Mobius' apartment wondering if he's still asleep. The halls, the rooms, even looking out the windows he cannot escape the sudden bright reds and pinks decorating every little thing they can. Loki's first instinct is to go to Mobius but he can't seem to find him anywhere! He'd ask someone if they weren't busy making out everywhere. And that's another thing weird about this maybe-dream. THE RANDOM SPIKE OF PDA?! That's supposed to be THEIR thing. Grossing their co-workers and friends alike with their courting, making it into a fun little game after he and Mobius decided to stop running around in circles, just to see who can make their companions cringe more. When he FINALLY finds one of them (B15) she just TEASES HIM. B15: Not so fun now, huh? Loki: So…This ISN'T some fever dream concocted by whatever sugary dessert Mobius had us try last night? B15: Why would you eat dessert at nigh-…Y'know what? I don't want to know. B15: And no Loki, I am HAPPY to say that this is all in fact, real. Loki: Well then, what the HEL is all of this??? B15: It's Valentine's Day and since we all decided we would slowly introduce ourselves to holidays we thought this would be the perfect one to start this year off. Loki: We??? B15: Me, Mobius, a couple of board members. Loki: And where was I when this was happening? 🤨 B15: Did you already forget about the tree thing? Loki: Don't. B15: Well you asked. Loki: I will refrain from doing so in the future. B15: Anyways, Valentine's Day is a holiday where lovers celebrate their…love. Loki: Then why all of…THIS 🤢 B15: Oh cut us some slack this is our holiday in…EVER.

After some more banter in which Loki learned this day for Valentine was as gooey ("Like you and Mobius?" "Shut up.") as it looked and sounded, B15 gave Loki some coordinates to go to So Loki put them in his tempad and went through the familiar orange door…And immediately understood what the fuss was about. There stood his beloved, dressed in a tux, holding a bouquet of Myosotis sylvatica with a soft blush to go with his bright grin hey were on a cliff that stood tall over an entire field full of all kinds of flowers, a round table covered with a cloth with two plush chairs, and a single candle already set up. He smiles at the smell of the tea. The food on the plates however, gives him pause. Loki: Midgardian breakfast? For dinner? Mobius: I gave you extra sausage and bacon 🥰 Loki: I should've known you would've noticed. Mobius: Always, Darlin'

Mobius then gives Loki the bouquet in his hand and then wraps an arm around his waist, guiding him to the left seat 10/17 Loki's favorite (The best in his opinion) human then uses his other hand to pull out the seat and gently urges him to sit. Mobius then excitedly shuffles to the opposite side of the table to his own chair. Mobius: Happy Valentines Day, Loki.

Loki felt his eyes start to water and a lump form in his throat. All of this…for him? He hadn't even planned for this day, hadn't even known of it, and yet Mobius his wonderful partner, had just made it one of his favorites. He had never had so much effort (at least not willingly) put into making him feel this way, this…happy? no, much more than that. An indescribable feeling. A feeling that grew as they spoke about everything and nothing, eating food made by Mobius himself (slightly burnt) And then Loki's heart practically exploded as Mobius, in sync with the sudden glow of the Myosotis sylvatica he could now recognize hidden in the field, kneeled down clumsily (He had seemingly forgotten about the field's specialty and scared himself.) and pulled out a ring Before Mobius could even open his mouth, Loki jumped on him, no longer able to contain his emotions about it all. A long while after, both naked, covered in a blanket he had conjured, Mobius turned to look at him with a shy look. Mobius:…I'm guessing that's a yes? Loki: Of course it's a yes. Anyone who would say no is a buffoon not worth your time. 🙄 Mobius: Oh really? Loki: Yes. In fact not just a buffoon, an imbecile, a fool who shouldn't be allowed to breath the same air as you. Mobius moved his head to lay on Loki's chest and they spent the rest of the night like that, taking turns goading the other to shower the other with compliments, matching smiles following them into their deep slumber.

This came out late but yes, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY LOKIUS LEGION! I haven't written in years and I haven't wrote a threadfic at all PERIOD. So I hope it's not too bad…(Fun fact, I forgot to put the 17 at the end of the slashes on Twitter IM SO EMBARRASSING FR 😭)

Here's the thing that I want to ask the legion of Lokius shippers who were disappointed by the series or, worse yet, accuse it of queerbaiting.

What was the show about?

I don't mean 'what did you want the show to be about' but what was the show actually about. What story did it seek to tell?

I know, and I suspect you do as well.

It was about Loki coming to terms with who he was, what he had done, and, in a very important quote, "what sort of god I want to be." In the beginning, Loki looked to his father, his brother, and his mother for definition, and when they didn't give him the identity he wanted, he reacted violently. He worked with Thanos the Mad Titan to get the power to force others to love him, and we all saw how that ended. He stooped to being a sycophant to the Grandmaster. None of them were ever able to make him feel the way he wanted to feel.

Then he encounters the TVA, including Mobius and Sylvie, and sees that there are infinite Lokis; suddenly, defining himself seems not only unimportant but foolish. He is who he is. Then he meets He Who Remains, and he begins to see that -- and this is a crucial line when he shouts it at the Enchantress -- there are things bigger than his own identity.

The second season of the show and his attempt to forge himself a new home within the TVA, with the people he's met and befriended there, and begins to paradoxically establish his own sense of self-worth through his relationships with them. Not just one of them, but all of them. It wasn't about a specific relationship; it was about all of them.

Loki and Sylvie kissed ONCE in 12 episodes, and then she punted him through a time door, so the point wasn't the culmination of their romance, but the possibility of seeing himself as worthy of regard in the guise of seeing another Loki, and confronting his violent and selfish instincts by confronting the same instincts in a version of himself he loved. Mobius started out confronting Loki with the enormity of his failures and trying to manipulate him into assisting the TVA and evolved into a close friendship when they're willing to work with and believe in each other in a way Loki had never achieved before, not even with Thor.

Loki was never going to go on dates or settle down in glorious domesticity with jet-skis and stepsons. He was always going to achieve his 'glorious purpose': finding something greater than himself to value and to sacrifice for. To find something worthy of guarding.

Shipping is fun, but in this show? It was extraneous. A plot line with a romantic focus simply would not fit in with the themes with which the show grappled. So, take a deep breath, write your Lokius fanfiction, but dial it down a notch on your screams of betrayal and injustice. You look foolish.
