Loki carried you to his bed.
No, it wasn’t just his bed anymore, you reminded yourself. It was your bed.
Laying you down on top of it, not caring for the stains of dirt and blood on your nightgown, he hovered gently over you. He pressed his lips to yours. His body pressing on top of you. You cupped his face and kept him close. Already your hips touching. You pulled in for another kiss. You wrapped your arms around him.
No more fire. No more blood. You needed tenderness. Intimacy. Wanting to forget your name, forget everything except him. To not feel the hilt of a blade. Instead, you felt his hand bunching up your skirt, exploring your leg again as if it was the first time he saw your care skin.
Reaching out your hand onto his, you led it up your body. Your skirt was left as you led him to touch you. You stopped the path on one of your breasts. You could hear the breath in him tighten as he felt it, bunching it up to see how the bodice of your gown was lowering. Wanting to show him more.
“Loki…please…please, I need you…” you begged.
He paused and released his hand.
“Shhh,” he hushed you.
One of his long fingers traced your cheek, going down from your neck to the collar of your nightgown. A tiny gasp came out of you as he dragged it down.
“No need to remind me, my dear. The way you react when I touch you- I know you need me…”
. You shivered as that one long finger went between your breastbone. His eyes greedily searching for your nipples, perked beneath the whiteness.
“My poor little wife, all alone out there without me…”
He lowered his finger’s trail to your stomach. He then went to beneath your skirt, feeling your leg again.
“How badly did she miss me, I wonder?”
Going up, just barely before your entrance. You felt your hips buck to him. A smile of deviousness graced your husband’s lips. You were getting wet between your legs, you felt your breath hitch and part of you tremble. Then he removed it.
“What a pitiful little gown you have on. Now that you’ll be in here every night, I’ll have you wearing ones of silk that cover even less. And only for me. Yet this…”
He undid the bodice of your nightgown and pulled it down over your shoulders, revealing your breasts.
“You may as well be naked in this! I may as well…”
He tugged it down and you helped him. Flicking it off to the floor. With a simple flick, your nightgown vanished and you were naked.
“Well, well- what do we have here?” he teased.
This time his hand caught your bare breast and squeezed it, a thumb over the nipple. You let out a moan.
“Tell me, my pet- did you miss me?” he asked.
“Yes,” you breathed out.
“Did you get wet at the thought of me? Of our little trysts?”
“I…I did…”
He went to your ear, barely kissing it as he whispered.
“Did you touch yourself then?” he whispered.
“Yes…”
He went to your hand, entwining his fingers with yours.
“I would do it…alone…in my room…it would be night…I’d be lonely, I couldn’t sleep…and I would think of you….I’d think of the cabin. When you deflowered me. Then when you took me on the table. Or our wedding night..and I…I…I needed you and…and I remembered where you would touch me, so I…”
He took your wrist gently and moved it to your sex.
“Show me how…how would you touch yourself at night, alone in your bed…” he whispered.
With a breath, you slid one finger in, rubbing it against your swollen clit. You began to strum it at a steady rhythm, your hips moving to it. A moan escaped you. He watched greedily, smiling wide.
Your breath hitched. You felt something rise. You made the strumming faster, opening your legs wider.
“L-Loki- I’d-I’d think of you…think of you and…”
He grabbed your wrist and pinned it above you.
“Wait- wait,” he ordered.
The lungs in your air nearly halted. You were frustrated- so close to release. And here he was, as clothed as you were naked.
“There’s a certain sight you’ve been missing, my dear…and your poor little fingers could never quite recreate what we have here…let me fix both…”
With a tilt of his head, his clothes vanished as well. You took in his strong abdominals, the little dark hairs on his chest, his wide pectorals for his slim frame. His cock- large and so hard it touched his stomach.
Loki leaned closer. He pinned you down onto the bed. You felt his erection near you, grazing your skin, your body. He grabbed your legs and hoisted them up.
“I want you loud…your parents will know who gives their good little girl pleasure every night…I want you loud…I want every person in this castle to hear, and when you cum it’s my name you’ll be crying out- they’ll know who you married to…and no man in that muddy town and no man in that castle can lay hands on what is mine, hm? Because none can make her cum like I can…”
He stopped your hand, raising it back up. He teased your entrance and you felt yourself shiver.
“Loki…Loki please…just…just take me, fuck me- fuck me into this bed…”
He lowered himself. You eagerly pulled yourself and kissed his neck. That was where he was weak. He let out a groan as you did. Your hips met his. Your entrance grazed him.
“Please….just love me…fuck me…” you begged in whispers between kisses.
He hovered right where he would be inside you.
“Wait…” he rasped. You were shaking, desperate for him.
“Tell me you’re mine…and I’ll give you what you want…”
Part of you froze beneath him.
“Say it!” he ordered sharply.
“I-I-I’m yours!” you whispered.
He smiled.
“Good….good little wife…”
With one thrust he was inside you. Deep, a right angle, hitting past your clit. You moaned out.
“Yes-yes like that- Norns-I’ve missed this-I’ve missed you-Filling you-Feeling you around me, trying to have all of me- and doing it-” he groaned out.
He held up your legs and then slammed his hips in. You let out a cry. His pace increased.
“You-you wanted-wanted to be fucked?! Here-” he said.
With a gasp, he got fast. He was harsher than when he took your maidenhead in the cabin on a winter’s night. He began to pound into you. Your breasts bouncing.
“Oh! Oh god-god-fuck-fuck yes-” You cried out.
“Yes, I’m your god- and-and you want to cum, don’t you?” he panted as he pounded into you. “God, you beneath, begging for me-I’m-I’m not gonig to last either-I-”
One hand lowered to your clit, edging you on. The spinning rose. The bed was already hitting the wall.
“Yes-I’m yours- Loki-Loki I’m-I’m going to-to-”
The pleasure burst. A moany, desperate “F-fuck!” flew out of you.
A sound came from Loki as he too reached his climax and groaned in gradual spurts. As if it grew out of him. His hot seed shooting inside you.
He was panting, his mouth open. His blue eyes opened to look down at you and a smile was on him, despite himself.
“Hold me, just hold me now- please,” you pleaded.
Loki released how he held himself and gently lowered on top of you. Not for lust, but for tenderness. He held onto you and nuzzled into your skin. Hugging him back, you rubbed your fingers in circles against his back. The silence was filled with your souls returning to your body.
Catching your breath, you released a little of the embrace to look into his eyes.
“I love you,” you whispered.
He smiled. No ironic smirk, but a genuine, sweet smile. He leaned into your touch.
“I love you so much I cannot even say a thing right now…” he replied.
“Then don’t,” you said.
Moving your arms back around his body, you pulled him close. Embracing each other in silence, feeling each other’s pulse, and the movement of breath in the other. And not saying one word but basking in the warmth of each other. If there was a Heaven or Valhalla, you knew you had tasted it now.
Minutes passed blissfully. Until you felt your stomach’s emptiness like a knife inside of you. Then you whispered a request into his ear. Loki nodded and conjured soft robes of silk for both of you.
He opened the door, gesturing for a servant in the hallway to approach him.
“Please bring my wife something to eat,” he asked.
The servant nodded and left. Soon they returned with a meal on a golden platter..
As Loki accepted it, you heard the Servant begin to speak boldly.
“Your parents say there is a crucial meeting in an hour. It’s concerning Grendel. They hope you and the Princess shall be present. It is in the usual room,” he reported.
“Very well. Tell them we shall be ready, then,” he said.
The Servant nodded. Then Loki closed the door and walked over to the bed as you sat on it. He set the platter on top of the covers. With the roasting chicken smelling fresh, as well as noticing butter on the vegetables and bread, you found yourself salivating.
As you tucked in, you didn’t want to think of how now realms were in danger. How Odin knew Loki’s secret and how he would only have shared glory as a hero. That you had to recover to have your powers returned.
You wanted to enjoy what pleasures you had in your life while you still had them before they could be taken away from you.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
The servants delivered a change of clothes. You put on a golden dress. Its silky material is soft as skin, making you run your hands on it to feel how it slides cleanly. Loki donned his traditional dark green and black leather. Looking in the mirror, you hardly recognized a face without petticoats.
“Do I look like an Asgardian?” you asked.
“You’re missing an eye patch like Father,” he teased.
An exhale of laughter shot from you and you smiled at him.
“Don’t fret- you are royalty now. They should be concerned about looking like you instead,” he assured you.
Loki offered his elbow and you placed an arm around his as you left the room to head to the meeting. Your footsteps echoed down columned hallways.
When you arrived, your husband knocked. Voices hushed from inside and a servant opened.
How different that little meeting looked with so many more faces inside.
There was the usual circle of the variants. Thomas talked to Jonathan as they looked over a book between them. Hal and Robert already seated. But now The royal family was added- Odin, Frigga, and Thor. Even Stella sat on a table with her sewing on her lap as Sif stood behind her, one hand on the hilt of the sheathed sword on her hip.
Odin cleared his throat.
“Now, then- let us commence,” The AllFather intoned.
He gestured and everyone standing sat into a chair. They creaked against the floor as people moved theirs. For a second, eyes looked uneasily on him. Beneath the table, your hand reached for Loki’s and he held it.
“It is no longer wise for your little club to face Grendel alone. Especially if he is a threat to our people and our realm, you will need our army, our warriors,” Odin began.
You hated that you agreed with every word he said.
“But the true reason I have called this is because it appears that one of you has made a crucial discovery…” Odin continued. A glimmer in his eye.
He swept an arm to Thomas, then curled his fingers to signal him to stand.
The Baronet smiled. He brought the book out from his lap and placed it on the table.
“My good friends, I have been doing a great deal of research for some time. I wish to assure you, that although my skills in a battle are not quite as refined as others, I wish to be useful in other matters.”
Thomas opened the book and turned the yellowed pages as he continued to speak.
“It took hours of sourcing every book in the archives for information on Grendel. His history, especially any possible weaknesses. Most of them needed to be translated from the ancient tongue word by word. But just this morning, I discovered this.”
He pointed at one specific page.
Everyone craned their neck to look. There was ancient Asgardian text in faded black ink, the lines curving and leaning to the left. You noticed small, detailed illustrations around it of a sword, a crown, a ring, and a mask.
Thomas looked at Jonathan. The Night Manager pulled out a scrap of paper from his pocket and handed it to Thomas, who read the translation aloud.
“Lo, to great praise of the gods,
Did Wise Grendel, go forth,
Long days did he spend,
WENT he forth across many,
Until the cauldron was found.
His death he shreds into it,
And forth did it birth its trove four.
The black ring, a bloodied sword,
An unkinged crown, and a mask of death.
For dreaded death did he ween away,
And death shadow dark did he peel off,
Placing them forth and upon,
Like weeds upon a ship,
The troves, which he then scatter.
Woe for the man,
Who in hell and hatred keeps his soul?
For the trove for that great foe.
THUS was Grendel reared immortal,
Reborn, that is, made freshly new.”
Silence followed. Then Thomas continued.
“In layman’s terms, there are four items called Troves that emerged out of the cauldron when Grendel was granted his immortality from it. A ring, a sword, a mask, and a crown. I confess I had to visit Jotunheim for our Prophet friend again and make him an offering. And it is rather convenient he is fond of a good roast chicken!”
The Prophet- how had it been so long since you had seen him? Since he told you Loki was your True Love? You glanced at your husband and smiled at him and he back. Then you turned to Thomas again.
“He confirmed what I suspected. He said the troves were scattered throughout time and in two countries in Midgard, mostly England. Oddest of all…They are located in our timelines.”
Thomas gestured to himself and then to each variant.
America in mine, A small village in Jonathans, Eastcheap in Hal’s, and, Robert….well, you can guess where the one in yours had been placed.”
Robert turned pale.
Loki placed an elbow on the table and cocked an eyebrow.
“How incredibly thoughtful of him to make it easy on us! It’s so coincidental, we may as well have our names written in that book!”
Jonathan folded his arms.
“If he had access to a prophet of his own, it could be another trap for us,” he said.
“But what options do we have?” Robert asked.
“If it’s a trap, I’ll take Grendel and slaughter him myself!” Thor boasted, pumping his fist in the air.
“It’s easier said than done,” Frigga advised him, placing a hand on his arm to get him to stop.
“So, we must go to each of these places in those times. We must retrieve and destroy these items. And then, we have a key to defeating Grendel,” you recalled.
Thomas nodded his head.
“Is there a city where the ring was found in? You didn’t list one,” Jonathan asked.
“Oh, forgive me, I’m not familiar with the city the ring is in,” Thomas explained.
“What is its name?” Frigga asked.
“It’s a city called Buffalo in the year of 1901. The Prophet said it could be found among the upper class of the city. So I believe that is where we must go- and we all must behave. We all know royalty is one thing, high society is another.” Thomas advised.
Frigga nodded her head.
“If it is the least familiar, then finding the troves in the others shall be easier. You must go there first. And we must find a way to alert the army should there be trouble,” she advised.
“Why, good fellows, let us use that little bracelet! Should it not work when the army of our King can be brought forth? Especially through the gifts of our gracious queen?” Hal asked.
Frigga smiled.
“Yes, if those watches can send the signal, I can summon a portal for the army to go through. We can’t just send all of them over there. Grendel would get suspicious,” she added.
Stella leaned forward, her needlework placed on her lap. She then spoke for the first time since the meeting began.
“I think I’d like to go,” she replied shyly.
“It could be dangerous,” Sif warned.
“Ah, but American Society is dangerous in itself. And not all of you know how to behave among them. Miss Harris, I agree- you would be a natural among them,” Thomas said.
Stella gave Thomas a small smile. Jonathan turned stiff seeing the exchange, a quiet ferocity in his eyes toward the Baronet.
“Stella knows her way around people. How to talk to them and befriend them. She couldn’t be impolite if you begged her to be. And Aldwinter loved her for that,” you recalled.
“I could help in some ways. Search for it, talk to others to distract them, have them trust us,” Stella suggested.
All of you looked at each other. Thor was drumming his fingernails on the table.’’
“But if there should be a battle!” the god cried.
“Not all battles are with swords, brother,” Loki replied.
“Of course that would help. Sif can guard her. We could use Stella. Any bit of help we can get.” Robert advised. His hands reached to his shirt pocket for a cigarette and finding none, rested on the table.
“And…I would like another thing, please…” Stella continued.
The eyes were on her. Your friend then relaxed, though eyes were on her. Her voice was brighter with her growing confidence.
“I….I’m tired of always being taken, being hurt. I don’t want it to happen anymore. Could I…could I learn to fight just a little, please? Just enough to protect myself. I don’t wish for any glory on the battlefield, I don’t want to hurt anyone, I just…I want to feel safe. Please,” she requested.
Loki smiled.
“Well then, you are quite welcome,” Loki began.
Sif turned to her.
“I’ll show you. I know how a woman can fight off a man. You’ll have lessons before you go- where to strike where it hurts. And you better pay attention,” she offered.
“She is worth every sore muscle!” you assured your friend.
Stella’s pink lips curved into a smile.
“Thank you, all of you,” she said.
Odin crossed his arms.
“Well, one sorceress in Asgard and another-” his eye went to you. “Sent off to Midgard. With the Princess’s gifts and your proper training, I have a little hope in me.”
You raised your hand to speak.
“Your highness-AllFather-I, I was tricked into eating Kunniger. The poison drained me of my gifts. I’ll need the tea from the Brunhilde flowers in Jotunheim. And enough to drink for at least two days,” you insisted.
Thor perked up.
“Oh! Brunhilde flowers then? Why, sister, then we must fetch them for you! And you shall be back to your magical glory in no time! Why, I should get them myself!” he replied eagerly, beating his fist on the table. It seemed that the table and everyone jumped in response.
Odin nodded his head.
“Then, it is settled. We will have two days- during which I expect everyone who is able to train vigorously. Then, you set forth in Midgard starting with the kingdom known as Buffalo. You all know what you must do- find the troves. Destroy them. Consider this a command from your king.”
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
While unleashing Thor among the upper crust of New York was like unleashing a bull into a china shop, he was useful in other ways.
Thor ran to Jotunheim like a dog released in a field. He grabbed as many Brunhilde flowers as he could and ran back, the tiny purple blooms bunched in his large fist. He brought you forth his prize at your feet.
For two days, you drank the tea as you watched Sif train Stella. And how odd that this time you were the one watching and Stella was the one training! And Stella in a light brown exercise dress of your time.Different than her typical blue. dodging Sif’s punches was a sight to see.
Sif led Stella to one dummy and handed her a dagger. She pointed at its neck.
“Strike there and he’ll be weakened.”
She moved her finger to the heart.
“Strike there and he’ll be dead.”
Stella gripped the handle of the dagger with both hands.”
“I don’t want to kill anyone,” she responded.
“Lady Harris, there are men worth killing. Men who will kill you first. Men who’ll do worse if alive- stab it!” she ordered.
Stella hurried forth and shakily plunged the dagger through the neck. Like pricking a needle into a sewing cushion.
“No! With force, girl!” Sif barked.
On the second afternoon, you could summon bits of flame. By that evening, you could hear the gossip of the kitchen maids (which Loki adored hearing you recount for entertainment). On the third day, you could move the items on your vanity around easily. You went to the training grounds and fetched a sword a mile away without moving a muscle. Targets of your own were set aflame easily.
Now it was time, and you could no longer delay. One minute wasted was one more advance Grendel would make behind your backs.
Everyone gathered in the meeting hall. Loki conjured clothes for everyone, for the ring was in Buffalo in the year 1901. The men had their waistcoats and cravats. Loki in his typical look. A black waistcoat with a green tie, with a black overcoat, a golden watch with its chain around his stomach, and a bowler hat. Thomas donned himself in black. He brought his top hat and placed it on his head. The men all had waistcoats in colors they favored. grey for Robert, a dark blue for Jonathan, and red for Hal.
The ladies had to have small gloves and dresses as well. Stella’s was sky blue and Sif was in black (though she complained the skirts were tight beneath her breath). Your dress was deep green along with your husband’s waistcoat.
But what amazed you were the puffed sleeves on the dresses. So within two decades, every lady would have them?! How astounding! You kept eyeing them on your shoulders with curiosity- you may as well attach hydrangea bushes to your person!
“Now, ladies and gentlemen, are we all ready? Not quaking in our little boots?” Loki asked.
There was no time to reply. Not that there was time for hesitation.
Loki conjured a golden portal and everyone stepped through. Bright colors swirled around you, hurting your eyes so much you had to close them.
Then, as you opened, you saw you were in Buffalo.
You were amidst the markets of the area, as carts moved about. You craned your neck to see tall white buildings. But the day was sunny with the crisp coolness of morning in the air. You could hear a distant train whistle and the chatter of people, happy for a new day and a fresh start. The city was twenty times larger than your village. The crowds were so thick, that you reached for your husband’s hand to not get lost. He held your own back. And indeed, everyone was dressed similarly to your group, right down to women with puffy sleeves.
All of you walked forward. Sticking close together as people hurried about. You stopped around one building, your feet staying on dry dirt roads far from any possible mud.
“Well, now, I have one little question. The one plaguing all of our minds right now. I may as well be the one to say it- how are we going to find one measly little ring in all of this?” asked Loki, gesturing his arms out to the city.
Jonathan put a hand out to him.
“Be patient,” he assured. “We’ll find a way.”
You crossed your arms, raising an eyebrow.
“Are all of you forgetting that I can sense things?” you replied. “Let me do a quick scan,” you offered.
The group held their breath. You closed your eyes and had your gifts reach out.
At first, it was overwhelming. Every smell, sound, and sight attacked you at once. Your shoulders tensed and you winced, but you had that word in your head like a mantra.
“Ring, ring- the cauldron’s ring…where is the cauldron’s ring?”
Taking a deep breath, you let each sensation pass you by. You let the words be your anchor.
Something nudged at you. As soft as a child asking for a glass of water at night.
The ring…there was someone…someone connected to the ring…it was…was…in a building, a few blocks away.
You opened your eyes, a smile growing on your face.
“Someone has it. They’re in an office building a few streets down,” you reported.
Loki took your hand, leaning to you with a look of triumph.
“My wife, a sorceress and ingenious,” he praised.
All of you hurried forth. You held your skirts over possible mud puddles, glad they’d cover your shoes. Your senses still out like a compass. Finally, a tall, bland-looking building loomed over your party and your senses quivered intensely within you.
“There! It’s there!” you confirmed with a point of your gloved hand.
Hurrying Inside, all of you paused. There were numerous rooms and a grand, wooden staircase. People walked to and fro in and out of doors. Ladies adjusted their hats in mirrors and you could smell cigar smoke.
“I can tell there is a hint here. There’s someone… but it’s…it’s hard to say….” you recalled. You were fresh from the poison, and maybe your senses were slightly dulled. You tried to reach out and could sense a presence, but you couldn’t tell what.
“Then rest your gifts, my dear,” Loki advised.
With a deep exhale, you released it, coming back to your neutral self.
“It will do. We have to start somewhere- we can search the building. Ask people, if desperate. Check for a ring.” Jonathan agreed.
Everyone had a scrap of paper in their pockets. An Asgardian artists made sketches from the illustration of this ring. A silver band with a black jewel in the center. You noticed Robert get it out to see it one more time before folding it back in.
“May as well start somewhere, sally forth, my friends,” Hal began, nodding his head.
“I’ll be back to you in an hour,” Loki said. He took your hand and kissed it as a promise.
The men began to scatter like children playing hide and seek. You saw Robert crudely looking at everyone’s hands and comparing the paper. They went across and vanished into doors all over the ground floor of the building.
You, Stella, and Sif looked at each other.
“Well, there they go,” Sif quipped.
“But who are we to sit about as they do the work? We can check the next floor up,” you asked.
The three of you lifted your skirts and walked upstairs.
As you climbed the steps, voices were chatting on the second floor. Emerging onto it, you all saw the source right in your path.
There was a small group of women with high chins and flowers in their hats. Society ladies. Their smiles were small and their eyes cold as they looked at one woman standing in front of them. As if not included. Not enough. Not one enough.
Their victim in question had blonde hair and a little tan coat and dress and hat. You noticed she had a manuscript in her hand that she hugged with both arms close to her chest like a shield.
One woman in front, who appeared to be the oldest among them, tilted her head and spoke with syrupy venom.
“Oh, we’re having a ball soon, by the way. Not that it should concern you, Edith. With those ink-stained hands, I doubt any gentleman would wish to dance with you. But isn’t that what you wanted, our own Jane Austen?” she said with a smile.
The ladies next to her snickered among themselves.
The young woman- Edith- turned pale and you found her posture tight.
Perhaps it was your unbridled emotions. Perhaps it was the confidence you gained from being turned from lady to warrior and princess and surviving Grendel. Perhaps it was the rage leftover from that marshy town where you made fire burst.
But you could not let them torment this lady- who seemed so small, so timid, so alone.
She wouldn’t be alone now.
Your feet approached them, crashing into their circle.
“And what makes you think you have the right to speak to her like that?” you asked.
Stella hurried forth and went to Edith.
“Why, is it true? Are you a writer?” she asked.
Edith blinked in surprise.
“Why, uh, yes, I am,” she replied meekly.
Stella made sure she was close. Diverting her attention, not causing any harm. The defense to your offense.
“Oh, how exciting! I must wonder at that- how hard you must work for your craft! How fascinating! I am Miss Stella Harris-forgive the intrusion- and you are-”
“Edith Cushing,” she confirmed.
You took a step closer to them.
“What are their names?” you asked Edith.
“Mrs. McMichael, her daughter Eunice, and their friends,” Edith introduced.
You looked down into the oldest woman’s eyes and she rose to yours without a hint of fear.
“Mrs. McMichael, I do not know what Miss Cushing has done to you- to any of you to deserve this. She is harming no one. She has an ambition and is set forth on it- that is a noble thing. And it is none of your business if she becomes a spinster! Haven’t you considered how hurt she must be when you say things to her?” you spat back.
Mrs. McMichael cocked her eyebrow.
“I must be blunt. Edith is unnatural, as one might say. She must know her place. She always has been. With a mind like hers, of course, no one will want her. We knew it from the beginning. We are simply educating her. She must know her place- how else can a pig know she is a pig?”
You had had enough.
“And going about bullying other people to make your own miserable life feel any better is a place you’re satisfied to be in?” you asked.
You got close, holding yourself restrained. Your hands itching to slap her, which you kept folded. But you looked directly into her eyes and spoke before you could be interrupted.
“Then I must be blunt, too- You wish to find a pig, Mrs. McMichael? Look in the mirror,” you replied.
There were gasps among the ladies. Even a “mother!” whispered from Eunice.
Before any of them could interject, you turned to join Stella and Edith and began to walk away. Sif only took a step closer.
“Don’t push it. And stay away from the girl- and us,” She warned gravely.
There were gasps. You turned around, hurrying your steps. Your momentum of triumph and anger pushing your little party of four forward. Edith only looked around with as much astonishment as the abandoned snobs. Three new faces looking at her. A lightness on her features for her surprise defense.
“Where are you going?” Sif asked.
“I am headed to the library- it’s up here. I’m meeting Mr. Ogilvie in an hour,” she pointed.
“Let us escort you,” you offered.
Edith grinned and you noticed how warm it was, how beautiful. With her blonde hair and sweet features, she was a pretty lady. Her shoulders dipped and her eyes glanced down at the manuscript in her hands as if it was her infant. She looked back up, beaming.
“I cannot thank all of you enough! Please- what is your name?”
Matching her grin, you reached out a hand in an introduction.
“I am Mrs. Laufeyson,” you introduced. It was the last name you and Loki agreed to have when traveling in Midgard.
“Miss Edith Cushing, and?” she turned to look at the dark-haired woman in dark clothes.
“Lady Sif-”
“Er, Miss Sif,” you corrected.
“What brings you here?” Edith asked.
“Buisness with my husband. Miss Harris and Miss Sif are my companions. Why do you need to meet this gentleman in the library?” you asked.
As you walked closer, you passed a window where sunlight draped down. Warming all of you for a brief minute. Glancing back, you saw the clique of society ladies titled their heads to watch and then went down the stairs with a huff.
‘He’s going to look at my manuscript and consider publishing it!” Edith boasted.
“Oh, how exciting!” Stella replied.
“! You must have us read it too!” you agreed. Even Sif raised an eyebrow.
Edith guided you all to the door with the library.
“Oh- after the meeting, we’ll enjoy some coffee- my treat! Really! It’s the least I can do- and there’s a cafe next door!” she offered.
Coffee, not tea. Now you knew you truly were in America.
“Splendid- we will wait outside right for you,” Stella promised.
“My husband wishes to meet me in an hour. Do you not mind him?”
“Oh, not at all. I’d like to get in early- there are a few revisions I need to make before he reads it,” Edith said, looking down at the manuscript again.
“There’s no need for shame. Do whatever you need to do!” Stella replied with a smile.
Sif did not smile. Though she was quiet, observant of everything gonig on, but her eyes were soft.
“We’ll wait right here!” you assured.
Edith gave you another smile.
Something in the back of your mind was itching. A bell was ringing loud. You had rested your senses but here they suddenly grabbed you by full force. You stood still, your heart picking up against your ribs as you felt them overwhelm you.
But they didn’t go to the chatter or footsteps or the sunlight shining through.
You felt Edith….her hair feeling pinned to her face, her sweat of excitement beneath her nice dress, her determination to not appear like a frump yet also present of an intellect worthy of respect, equal to a man even…
She didn’t wear gloves. Her fingers were bare, but there was the mark of a tight ring she wore yesterday around her second finger on her right.
She was trying on jewelry that morning. And considered one ring she had. She had put it on. Then decided against it and discarded it away.
A silver ring. A silver ring with a black jewel.
Before you said a word, she slipped through the door and closed it shut. All of you sat on some chairs outside the hall. Your stomach had dropped and you were shaking.
Sif crossed her arms in a huff.
“I don’t see how any of this will get us any closer to the trove!” she complained.
You turned to her, feeling your blood turn cold.
“No, Sif…” you began.
“Why, YN! What’s the matter? There’s a look on your face- something is troubling you, what is it?” Stella asked.
You gestured for them to lean closer, your voice soft.
‘We haven’t actually dallied…we might as well have found the ring…” you replied.
“What do you mean?” asked Sif.
“Edith has it.”

Bittersweet Blood
Summary:
What if Sally Jackson was actually Loki Odinson, and as a result Percy is born half Greek god and half Asgardian god?
…
"A half-blood of the eldest gods." Then, Poseidon loses all the color on his face as realization hits.
Loki sees this and says, "The prophecy doesn't say half-god it says half-blood of the eldest gods, and we are two elder gods from two different pantheons. Our child would be considered-"
"A half-blood." Poseidon finishes grimly, remembering the fates warning him, teasing him, of the fate of their unborn child.
…
This story will mainly follow the MCU's movies and Percy's quests will still happen, but they will largely be in the background. Thus, this will follow Percy and Loki as they interact in the MCU. Also, how Percy being a half-blood from two pantheons will affect him and those around him, and how different his life is growing up is as a result.

Chapter 1: The Fates' Warning
Percy has known magic all his life, or well most of his life. The way the air vibrates with its whispers, and the plants live and breathe in the world's magic. Magic was all around him, and he was not exempt from the world's magic. However, he truly only gained sight when his mom showed him the realm's magic. Her own magic - green as emerald and humming with hidden power. Percy's mind was blown. He always had this itch, this sense, that he was missing something, as before he would perceive the strange and mystical and magical as a blur, a shadow to his senses, and would forget them in time, but this was what he was missing in all his first 6 years of life.
Before he was too young to understand the way he breathed and lived in magic everyday, and could potentially harm himself or others in attempting to control something he wasn't ready for, so Sally gave Percy a charm to prevent him from truly perceiving magic. If this was Asgard Percy would never have needed such a thing, but this was Midgard, or Earth. Earth, or rather humans, were not ready for a toddler to wield experimental magic. However, now Percy knew how to keep secrets, and he needed to learn his heritage, his right, to magic. It was time for Percy to learn of his Nordic heritage, for Sally is no ordinary magician, they are a deity, a god - they are Loki Sal Odinson and Sally Slyvie Odinsdottir, the child of Odin and Frigga, the sibling to Thor, and Perseus Freyr Lokison's mom.
______________
One day Loki was being mischievous as usual and felt the need to be in a feminine form and dress in a very sexy red swimsuit just to see how many heads she turned. She still kept her tall height and slim body, albeit now more feminine in form. Her face remained angular with high regal cheekbones, and small pouty lips. She, however, turned her dark black hair almond, and her emerald eyes turned turquoise that shifted to the green or blue of waters nearby in order to remain separate from her regular form.
Now she just needs a new name. Hmm, she feels like a princess, so she’ll call herself Sally. She laughed to herself, but then as she headed towards the ocean she met the most stunning man. From his tanned mediterranean skin, to hair as dark as night but still somehow glowing warmly in the sun, and eyes like the very ocean's themselves raw, powerful, and beautiful. His form is sturdy but relaxed, with muscles defined in golden armor. A well trimmed beard on a strong jaw and nose, with full lips, and high cheekbones. This man was a god, Sally was sure of it, as sure as her own mouth was hanging open.
The strange thing was the man seemed to mimic her stunned expression. Well Sally doubted that this man knew Sally was a goddess, since she sealed her magic after becoming Sally to hide her aura from even Heimdal so her father Odin wouldn't notice her, but this man still stood there starstruck.
Sally snickered, and then full blown laughed and her brown curls fell into her now swirling blue eyes. It was like those midgardians shows that she sometimes snuck out to see where it was love at first sight, and here she was trying to be the stunning one but she ended up being stunned as well.
The man’s face became pinched, wondering why Sally was laughing. Sally had to stop herself by laughing, it was unbecoming of a princess of Asgard. “S-sorry,” Sally said after her laughing petered off, “It’s just well in your golden armor and everything, and with how handsome you look, I thought ‘this man must be a god.’” Sally's face then got really red, did she just say that outloud?!
The man had a stunned expression on his face, then smiled, “I’m glad I’m not the only one who had similar thoughts as I thought ‘oh, this person must be a goddess.’ You happen to be right in your thoughts though. Tell me since you can see my armor, you must be a mortal able to see through the Mist, do you know of the Greek gods?”
Sally blushes at his compliment. Then she thought about what he was saying. He thinks Sally is a clear-sighted mortal. Maybe she can play around with him a bit, without having to worry about diplomacy.
‘The Greek pantheon,’ Sally thought surprised. Hmm while this man only appears to be in his mid twenties now, he has an aura of power around him. More so than many of the other Greek gods she had met. The only one that fell close when she attended a meeting between all the gods years ago was the arrogant fool, the king of Olympus, Zeus. Now that she thinks of it, his appearance bares a striking resemblance to Zeus with their strong features and striking eyes. Well, this man’s eyes are the everchanging greens and blues, swirling with power, like the sea. The sea! Is this man Poseidon?! The king of the seas and brother to Zeus!
Maybe she should mess with him a bit, play the foolish mortal, her need for mischief coming out to play.
“I’m quite familiar with the Greek gods, after all the monsters I see roaming this land. Now are you perhaps the king of Olympus, Zeus?” Sally asks, hiding her grin.
The man she is absolutely certain is Poseidon, sputters insulted.
Sally can’t help it but she laughs at his indignant expression, “I-I’m k-kidding, you must be the god of the seas, Poseidon.”
“You know if I didn’t find you so intriguing, I might have smited you for that. For that I must ask what your name is, so I can know that name of one so bold and beautiful.” Poseidon says teasingly with a smile.
Sally blushes again and smiles at Poseidon, “Well if you must know my name is Sally.” She grins sensually then and says, “Well if you find me so intriguing, why don’t you take me out to dinner.”
Poseidon goes to grab her hand, bowing down to kiss her hand, “With pleasure my lady.”
‘H-how can he just turn the tables like that?’ Sally thinks blushing profusely, trying to hide her face away, thinking she must look like a strawberry by now.
Poseidon laughs at her attempt to hide her blush, and holds out his hand. She laughs alongside him and grabs his hand walking alongside the beach with him.
They end up talking about their interests and likes and get to know each other along the way to their destination. Sally doesn’t reveal that she is actually a goddess, since she’s just here to have some fun, but she does tell Poseidon about her family and her adventures, and just makes them seem human. The world seems to fall away as they look into each other’s eyes and hear the enchanting tones of one another's voices. Slowly starting to fall for one another, but they take their time. They do have all the time in the world after all.
Sally ends up staying in a cabin on that very Montauk Beach, and Poseidon and her end up going on more dates and learning more and more about one another.
Sally eventually reveals that she is gender fluid when she feels more masculine again after a few dates. He doesn't change his body to match, because as Sal now, he is still playing the mortal, but wants Poseidon to know. Poseidon just smiles and accepts him, and lavishes him as a prince (even though Poseidon doesn't know yet who he really is, that he really is a prince).
Loki won't admit it, but he cried when Poseidon just accepted him. He never had the chance to really express himself before, and here was someone just casually accepting him for who he wasm
Sally though mostly stays in feminine in mind, as she won't have the chance to be a female once she returns home besides the occasional dressing up in her room, and perhaps feels the need to overcompensate subconsciously. Sally knows her time on Midgard won’t last forever, and she’ll have to return soon.
However, the summer turns to fall, and eventually winter, and Sally still stays in the cabin she bought on the Montauk beach where she first met Poseidon. She fell into a routine of pretending to be the mortal Sally Jackson (she decided on that last name when she lied and said her father's name was Jack and decided to have her last name be a homage to her Norse heritage), and spending time with Poseidon. They eventually fall into bed together, exploring their bodies together, and finding pleasure in one another.
Sally felt that her time was almost up on Midgard and she would have to return to Asgard, as she couldn’t hide from Heimdal and her father forever. She delayed it as much as possible, but now something in the air felt ominous like the Norns were warning her of something to come.
She enjoyed her time here on this planet for as long as she could, but she really didn’t want to leave. Sally fell in love with Midgard, she felt accepted and loved in a way she never felt before. Not even with her mother Frigga. As much as she tried and Sally loved and adored her mother, Frigga never truly understood her.
______________
It was when the year finally turned anew in January and it officially became the Midgardian year 1999, Sally started to feel sick. She was throwing up, and feeling light headed. What was happening to her? Gods don't get sick.
The revelation, however, came upon her shortly when she was telling one of the friends she made on Midgard how she was feeling. She still couldn't believe she made a friend! After all, Loki never had friends on Asgard, people were either too frightened by their status as prince, or thought that they were too weird and strange with their magic and interests in books instead of swords.
Sally became friends though with this person by leaning into her mischief, something no one back home ever appreciated aside from her mother Frigga. Thus, Sally pranked this fifthly scum of a human being, who wouldn’t stop hitting on her with nasty comments, to question his reality. She did this by getting all of his employees (Sally couldn’t believe he even had a job let alone employees) to agree and tell him that the sky was green, and the grass was blue, and so on and so forth. It only took a little bit of persuasion, and money, to do. Sally after all is a princess and is well forthcoming in both. One of his employees though was very enthusiastic, for she was tired of this geezer’s underhanded and sexist and racist comments, but needed the money. This happened to be Malia, a beautiful, tall Hawaiian woman with almond colored skin and dark curly hair who worked three jobs to provide for her three kids, and used to do wrestling in her free time at a gym when her husband was still alive, but had to quit to provide for her family.
Thus, Sally setup all the employees who worked at this man's laundry mat with more money than they’ve ever seen in a month for each day they worked to gaslit the fool into losing his sanity. In just a month, with employees all the more eager to come in and get back at their boss and earn some money, the walrus of a man, who stank worse than trash, cracked and ran outside yelling at people that the world was ending, and everyone was crazy. It was fantastic! All the employees cheered, and ended up making more money than they did in a whole year or years in just a month, and went on to find better jobs and do things and buy things they never were able to before after the laundry mat "unexpectedly" closed down.
Sally doesn't even remember the man's name but it seemed fitting. G-something Ugly, or something similar. Oh, it was Gabe Ugliano, but all his employees called him Smelly Gabe behind his back! Sally really hated that man after hearing and seeing more of how he treated everyone around him, and was glad that he was gone.
Malia was glad Smelly Gabe was gone too, and actually personally thanked Sally, tears in her eyes, and invited Sally into her home. She was going to lose her family’s home, and because of Sally she wasn’t, and her and her kids just wanted to show their appreciation. From then on, Sally and Malia became close friends, and could always find company in one another to talk about their struggles, or anything they needed. (Well, Sally could never bring herself to tell Malia who she truly was, for that would endanger Malia and Sally couldn’t do that to her friend.)
At least Smelly Gabe was good for something though, he got Malia and Sally to become friends after losing his sanity!
In any case, Sally lamented to her best friend Malia when they were finishing up with their food at a café about feeling sick lately and described feeling light headed, having cravings, and feeling more emotional than normal.
Malia had this look in her eyes, that she knew what was what, "Tell me, have you and your lover boy had sex in the last month or so."
Sally looked confused, "Yeah why?"
Malia shook her head, her black curly hair falling in her face, unbelieving at her friend's obliviousness, "Well, you might want to check and see if you're pregnant, sweetie." She swept her long hair back out of her face, and her brown eyes looked into Sally’s blues.
Sally looked at her friend shocked, "Pregnant?!" Sure Sally had a physical female form full time these days, but she never considered that idea that she could actually get pregnant. Heck, even her myths that she heard about her getting pregnant with Sleipnnir was actually because of accidental magic and not… what she heard in the myth. Was she really pregnant? Sally looked down at her flat stomach, thinking of Poseidon and her together all of those times.
Malia sighs, "Oh honey, it's okay. I'm a mother of three, and while kids are a lot of work, they also bring the greatest joy that I could ever have. I'll support you no matter what though, dear." Then she gains a serious expression, "And that lover boy of yours better shape up, or he can expect a beating from yours truly." Malia flexes her muscles to prove the point.
Sally's worried expression gained a small smile at her friend's antics, "I just never thought it was possible." Then she goes to hug her friend, "Thank you for everything Malia."
"Of course, hun." Malia smiles hugging Sally back, "And while I'm 99% sure you're pregnant, why don't you get a pregnancy test back at the pharmacy to make sure."
Sally's smiles and nods, "I'll see you later to tell you the news," and she heads out of the café waving goodbye to her friend not planning on going to the pharmacy, as she had other ways to test if she was pregnant.
The cold brisk air of January hits her. However, like any other time she was exposed to the cold, it doesn’t bother her, it almost seems to energize her. She never dwells on these thoughts though, how different it made her, yet again, from everyone else, as she always distracted herself from these thoughts, not wanting to accept how different she was yet again.
Sally wondered if her child would have her same disposition, if she truly is pregnant, and whether she wanted that solidarity with another being or if she wanted them to be ‘normal’.
Sally shakes her head, it doesn’t matter, she might not even be pregnant, and either way any child deserves to grow up how they wish to be and not be ostracized for being different like she was, no matter if they are like her or not.
She was still lost in similar thoughts though, and what ifs through the whole walk home, worried that by being the child's mother it would doom them to be different and ‘other’.
Even still, she always wanted to be a mother. To care and love for her own child, to be a mom.
Thus, Sally reaches her cabin, not even remembering how she got there, as she was too lost in her thoughts. Was she really pregnant? She breathed out, well only one way to find out. She reached for her magic, knowing intimately how to cast the spell she needed when she helped out in a healing center before.
Her green magic exploded out of her fingertips. The magic that she kept sealed away to hide herself bursting out of her in energizing waves. She knew she would have to hurry before the worlds of Midgard and Asgard aligned and let Heimdal see her. She casted the runes into the air, once again memorized by feeling how alive magic felt and let the runes sink into her. She waited a moment, feeling the magic buzz underneath her skin. If nothing happened then she wasn't pregnant. However, the magic alighted, and she saw green light up all around her. She really was pregnant! She jumped for joy, and proceeded to breathe in her magic one more time before she had to seal it again. The buzz was gone, but her joy radiated in the air.
Oh this is so exciting! She is going to be a mother. Is she going to have a boy or girl? You know what, Sally doesn't care just as long as they are happy and healthy. She wondered if the baby would have Poseidon's ever changing sea green eyes, or her natural emerald eyes. If the baby would take after her in magic, or perhaps the baby would be a fighter like their uncle Thor. Then, Sally's smile fell. Her baby could never go to Asgard and meet Thor, or her mother Frigga because her father Odin would never approve. Would Odin even let Sally have this baby, when not only will she be the mother and not the father, but the baby will be half Greek?!
Sally clutched her stomach protectively worrying about all the unknowns. For now though, she looked longingly at her bed. Deciding that she needed a rest first, before she dealt with reality again. She fell into her bed's comforting embraces and fell into oblivion.
______________
Loki, or rather Sal (the masculine name he came up with for Sally), woke up. Still when Loki was male in mind, he preferred Loki, but well that's a dead give away to his identity, and he couldn't have that.
In any case, Loki groaned remembering all the revelations that happened to him earlier. He really was pregnant. He looked at the clock ticking down on his nightstand, 8:00 pm. Loki breathed out, he must've been exhausted if he 'napped' for 6 hours. Loki steeled his nerves, he needed to tell Poseidon, so he prayed to Poseidon. Loki couldn't delay this anymore and lie to him especially now that they were having a baby together.
Poseidon arrived shortly after in a burst of blinding light. Loki closed his eyes more from the sheer light being emitted, than the actual danger of seeing Poseidon's divine form.
Poseidon looked to Loki frantically, hearing the distress in his tone when he prayed to him. "Sal, what's wrong?" He looked at him searching for any injuries, somehow always knowing that when Loki presented as male, even when his form didn't physically change.
This comforted Loki, in Poseidon's worrying, he in turn felt less nervous, and stated "I'm pregnant."
"W-what?" Poseidon asks, stunned. Then, gained a stupidly huge grin on his face. "That fantastic news!" However, he then thought of the prophecy about a half-blood of the eldest gods. He shut his eyes, feeling the remnants of the fates when he still held the domain of prophecy telling him of his unborn's child's doom. He already felt like mourning a child who wasn't even born. He was brought out of his spiraling condition, though, when Loli brought his hand to Poseidon's arm and looked into his eyes worryingly.
Loki breathed out, unsure why Poseidon's mood took such a drastic turn. He knew Poseidon was like the ever changing sea, from the gentle tides, to the roaring storms, and that Loki fell in love with all of him, but this was something different. However, he loved this man, and he needed to tell Poseidon who he really was.
'Yes,' Loki finally admitted to himself, 'I love Poseidon with all my heart, even though I knew it couldn't last. At least I could have him now, always in my memories, and now a piece of him forever in our child.'
Loki decided to just rip the bandaid off, thinking that the midgardian's metaphor was fitting, "My name is not not really Sal Jackson. I am Prince Loki Odinson of Asgard." He decided to transform externally to make his point clear, careful not to mess with his internal womb, his form changing back to his original wavy black hair and emerald eyes. He looked into Poseidon's eyes searchingly, waiting for rejection. His green magic briefly casted into the air before quickly receding into his skin.
To say Poseidon was shocked would be an understatement, and exclaimed, "I thought you were just an Asgardian, I didn't know you were a god."
"Now I know this looks…" Wait Loki thinks, "You knew I was an Asgardian?!"
Poseidon shakes off his shock, and rolls his eyes fondly, "My star, I knew from practically the beginning. You practically announced it when you kept calling Earth 'Midgard.' Not to mention how little you knew of basic human culture."
Loki sputters and blushes, "I thought you didn't notice."
"I'm not that oblivious!" Poseidon says offended.
Loki raises his eyebrows challengingly, saying 'sure.'
"Are you really okay with this, though?" Loki says, gesturing to himself. "Don't you hate me now?!" Loki shouts, fighting back tears and looking away.
Poseidon sighs, his heart breaking at his love fighting back tears, "I know that we were just treating this as a fun fling, but I fell in love with you. I fell in love with your smile, your mischievousness, and your tenacity. Everything about you I adore, and even though this complicates the matter with the whole inter patheon mixing, I could never hate you, my star."
Loki looks up into Poseidon's eyes, only seeing love swirling in their green depths. Loki goes to hug Poseidon, wanting to be comforted in his large arms. Poseidon accepts. "I love you too," Loki whispers to Poseidon.
They stay in each other's embrace for what feels like hours, but eventually they separate and look at one another.
Loki's face then turns perplexed, "By the way what got you all worried earlier? You almost seemed like you were mourning when I told you I was pregnant."
Poseidon looks like he's been caught stealing a cookie from the cookie jar, if the jar happened to be Asgard's royal vaults, and the cookie was one of its most valuable treasures. He clears his throat, "Well, since I thought you were mortal before," and he continued almost inaudibly, "and there's this prophecy…"
Loki crosses his arms, "I can't hear you. Can you repeat that?"
"There might be this tiny, little bit," then Poseidon quickly rushes out, "maybe- world-ending-prophecy-about-a-half-blood-child-of-the-eldest-gods."
"What?!" Loki yells, practiced in Poseidon speech. "Tell me this prophecy now." Loki demands, his green eyes steely with controlled anger.
"It's fine love, you aren't mortal, so it shouldn't…" Poseidon trails off and gulps when he sees Loki fuming, "Umm well, it goes:
A half-blood of the eldest gods,
Shall reach Sixteen against all odds,
And see the world in endless sleep,
A hero's soul, cursed blade shall reap,
A single choice shall end his days,
Olympus to preserve or raze."
Loki looks terrified, his form trembling, as he processes the prophecy.
"W-what's wrong Sa-Loki?" Poseidon asks worriedly.
Loki looks into Poseidon's eyes terrified and demands, "Repeat the first line again."
Poseidon does so instantly, and processes the request.
Notes:
While Loki is actually a fairly young god, he is still considered an elder god in his patheon.
And for anyone confused on the Sally and Loki/Sal naming, It will for the most part be Sally when female in mind, and Loki when male in mind, with Sal only coming to play in dialogue around and with people who don't know Loki's true identity going forward.
Also, I changed the expected birth year for Percy to 1999 for reasons, reasons which will work for the rough timeline I have for this fic.
Magnus Chase's gods don't exist in this universe (as I don't want to make more split personalities than necessary, and it won't work for this au). However, Magnus himself may make a cameo as a child of an Asgardian and Midgardian rather than Freyr.
Also, when this is posted on ao3, keep in mind that some changes have already been made.

The Raven and the vampire
Chapter 1
This is a Twilight and marvel mashup, the daughter of loki finds her soulmate in jasper Cullen and the twists and turns it will take them both
As of 11/21/24 i've redone this story it is no longer a reader insert. I want to thank everyone who liked the original and hope you like the updated version more, this was my first ever fic and i've slowly grown as a writer so everyone enjoy
It begins like every other day on Asgard, sunny and golden, gilded with light, as the sounds of a baby’s wails break the silence of the healing wing. Loki paces back and forth, waiting to be with his wife and newborn. The doors swing open, and an attendant comes forward.
“You may enter your highnes. Your wife and child are all cleaned up and waiting for you.”. Brushing past the attendant, Loki heads straight for the figure sitting against the backboard of the green silk bed.
“My darling, how are you? How do you feel? Do you need anything? Are you hung/…’..
“/Loki, calm down. I'm perfectly fine. A little tired, but it was all worth it to finally meet our daughter.”
“it’s a girl?”
“Yes, my son,” comes the voice of Frigga, queen of Asgard, as she walks over to the bed with a wrapped bundle in her arms. “She is a beautiful baby princess, and here she is, ready to meet her parents.” Walking to the new parents with a bundle of green and gold cloth in her hands, Frigga handed the new princess to her mother.
The baby was a light blue with raised markings prominent on her body, tufts of deep black hair crowning her head, and scarlet eyes opened to take in her parents. Lady Sigyn didn't even pause at the baby’s coloring, long since having broken Loki of thinking himself a monster due to his heritage.
“She is half Jotun as we expected, but her body should adjust to the environment soon just as her father did,” Frigga states, noticing her son had yet to say anything as he simply stared at his daughter's small form resting in his beloved's arms, slowly offering his finger to the baby girl. Skin turning blue as the babe gripped it in her tiny hands.
“She’s beautiful,”
“Yes, she is, oh, Loki look,”
The new parents watched as scarlet eyes gave way to white with beautiful amethyst irises, skin turning a beautiful pale like her father's with a dashing of freckles like her mother's.
“She looks like you, my love, beautiful dark hair.”
“She looks like the both of us, a perfect blend. Elara Frigga Lokidottir, Princess of Asgard.
Our little raven.”
Eight hundred years have passed, and the young princess has blossomed into a woman of grace and beauty. Like her father and grandmother before her, she is a mage, as well as a warrior in her own right. How could she not be, with private training from an actual Valkyrie, not to mention her aunt and uncle— The goddess of war and the god of thunder (who is affectionately referred to as the "god of sparkles")
Through many trials and tribulations, she has grown. Throughout her life, she has been surrounded by love—seeing it in her parents' faces as they look at each other, her baby brother's eyes as he babbles up at her, and the warmth of her grandparents, uncle, and many others. She has also heard countless stories of love that were never discovered and tragic tales of love found only to be lost.
“Mother, father, I've done it.” Elara omimite as she bursts into her parent's sitting room.
Sigyn was sitting on the floor with the twins as they had tummy time, while Loki was next to her, legs crossed at the ankle, reading a book to the two of them. Both looked up as their oldest came into the room.
`What is that, my little raven?”
“ Father, I've completed the spell to find my soulmate.”
“Soulmate? Spell? Darling, what are you talking about? You're still so young. You shouldn’t be worried about that yet.”
“Mother, you and father were only 200 years older than me when you both finally married, and much younger than that the first time you met, you started frolicking with each other. Uncle Thor has told me as such. Besides, I'm ready. I want to have what all of you have, especially before I'm used as a pawn to help diplomatic affairs.”
At this, Loki stands, embarrassing his daughter and ushering her into the lounge between him and her mother. Though Elara had grown 800 years in Asgard, it only made her about 18- 20 in human terms. And yes, she was old enough to start being courted. He selfishly thought that time wouldn't come for much longer. His wife's voice breaks him of his
“My little raven, we would never allow the Allfather or anyone else to use you as a pawn, you know that, right?
“You can try, Mother, but we never know what the future holds, and I don't want to wait anymore. Besides, Father is the one who gave me the idea to begin with.”
“Loki, why am I not surprised you are somehow involved with our daughter trying to leave?”
“Dear, it will all be fine. I would want nothing to harm our little raven, but she is right; now we are at peace, but that can easily change. I want her to be able to choose her path instead of others doing it for her.”
“And it not just to spurn the Allfather.”
“While that is always a bonus, no, Mother even agreed with me. Our little princess is grown, whether we like it or not; now go ahead, love, tell us what you’ve discovered,” Loki states as he kisses his wife, soothing her while gesturing to Elara to carry on.
“ Mother?”
Sigyn pinches her mouth, looking between her mischievous husband and equally energetic eldest.
“Fine, I will go along with you and your father's plans, but I wish to be there when the spell is cast and part of the travel discussions.”
“Absolutely, Mother, I can do the spell now; I just need the maps of the realms.”
Loki summons all the maps he's collected over the years, including a globe of Earth, and sets them up for his daughter when a thought occurs to him.
“Odin forbid this adventure; send you to Midgard.”
“Loki, we will support whoever it is and wherever it takes her. Besides, if you didn’t want her to go away, you shouldn’t have helped her make the spell to begin with.”
“Your words cut deep, my love. I simply hoped for her future match to be here in Asgard.”
“As you’ve said, my dear. Now, sweetie, let's proceed with this event.”
The maps of the realms litter the giant green carpet. In front of Elara, she sets the small golden bowl with the spells and concoctions as she draws the needed ruins.
“So I modified a spell to find a lost item and a spell to show your heart's desire, combining the two with a complicated magic circle. I should be able to find my soulmate”,
“Very impressive, little raven”
“Thank you, Father,” Elara says before beginning.
Purple magic flows from her fingers toward the bowl. The power quickly spreads out, forming a magic circle, and as soon as it is complete, a bright, pulsing light shoots up.
The light dances around Elara and her parents several times before shooting to the maps.
“It's working!” Sigyn happily claps in awe, watching her daughter work.
Pulsing around the realms maps, the light simply hoovers before shooting for the Midgardian globe, encasing it insistently.
“Oh joy, my daughter's soulmate is a Midgardian.”
“Honestly, I think it serves you right, Loki,” Sigyn states, picking at her husband and his distaste for Midgardians, “but you don’t even know who or what this midgarden is. Who knows, they could be gifted like our dear Wanda.”
“Yes, my darling,” Loki says as he collapses on the nearest couch.
“Well, go on, my little raven, let's see where in Midgard you will be visiting.”
Walking over to the globe, Elara peers over to what small words have now been illuminated.
“It’s a place called….. Forks, Washington.”

I had another Good Omens fanfiction dream this morning.
Basically, Crowley was due to give birth. You might ask, Pestilence, what's with you and Crowley being pregnant?.. The answer is, I don't know, and neither does my therapist.
So, Crowley's due to give birth, he's scared and in pain. Beelzebub shows up, along with a few other demons (I guess I'll look through the Key of Solomon, I remember a few have to do with healing). She told him they'll support him. I have a feeling, the dream adhered to my idea that Crowley and Beelzebub are siblings (in spite Beelzebub looking like she does in S2, so Indian).
Crowley had to change to his snake form, because while his human form was male (so he couldn't give birth without surgery, which was too dangerous), his snake form was female. The demons put him in a whelping box (genius idea). Crowley gave birth to either 4 or 6 baby snakes (apparently, they're called snakelets). It was a live birth, which, fun fact, some snakes do give (i think boa constrictors, and snake Crowley kind of looks like one, aside from the colouring). The baby snakes then morphed to human form. I don't think Crowley nearly died, but he lost a lot of blood, and got extremely exhausted. No, it probably wasn't realistic to how snakes actually give birth.
(They were far larger, though)
Oh, and at some point, Aziraphale found out, but someone (possibly Beelzebub) forbade him from coming, because an angel's presence would distress the babies, and they wouldn't take human form. They could also die.
No, I don't think Aziraphale was the "father". The babies were demons, while, according to my headcanons, when an angel procreates with a demon, the baby's an angel, as it's the original form (though, they do retain some demonic features). Maybe, Crowley mated with an actual snake, or something... It would be very Greek and Norse god of him, but what the Heaven, dude... I guess, Beelzebub could act as the litter's she-father, once the two had reconciled. Which, is a word I use for maternal figures who, traditionally, would be considered more paternal. You know, kind of emotionally detached, more provider than carer, often absent, that sort of deal.
This is incoherent, but I only remember fragments. I guess, I will put it down in my notes for the future. I already did. (I'm kind of tempted to write the birth scene, I like writing birth scenes, they're brutal).
Don't you just have a love/hate relationship with when you are already swamped with WIPs, but the Fanfiction Gods send you another vision?..
Also, don't you just hate it when you give birth to a litter of snakelets, with the help of your coworkers, and your estranged sister.
What the Hell do you even name that many damn whelps...

The Spook - Loki x Reader (Marvel x Fnaf Crossover)
WARNING!: Cursing, mention of murder, violence AND MORE ! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !
Part 9 - Discovery
As it turned 10PM William twitched and made sounds. Everyone was braced and had a weapon just in case.
As he was awake and looked at them, Destiny and Loki saw that his eyes were white and he looked scared as he saw the weapons.
“W-what are you doing…?”, William asked scared from his new voice box.
“Everyone, weapons down. This is William. The good one.”, Loki said and dropped his weapon.
Everyone followed his example. Destiny carefully walked towards him and held his Animatronic head, then put her forehead on his.
“You were controlled to kill us hours ago. We wanted to be ready that you would wake up controlled. No one will hurt you, William.”, she said softly.
“B-but the kids…”, he said in fear, gripping onto Destiny tightly.
“They helped us find you. They know that you were controlled to kill them. They are sorry.”, she shushed him softly.
William whimpered in fear.
“D-don’t leave me alone with them…”, he silently begged.
“For now I fear you will have to stay with them… We need to get to the bottom of everything.”, Destiny said.
“We still have 3 more Locations. We have Juniors, Fredbear’s Family Diner and Circus Baby’s Rentals.”, Dominic told William.
William stared at Dominic and all of a sudden his eyes turned red. He pushed Destiny behind him and stood up.
“What the fuck are you doing here ?!”, William hissed at him.
“Whoa ! Calm down ! Do we know one another ?”, Dominic asked.
Some picked up their weapons, but Loki stopped them. His eyes weren’t purple. They were red. They waited for now.
“You Fucker messed with my Animatronics ! Because of you everything went south !”, William yelled angered.
“I didn’t do anything !”, Dominic yelled.
Loki saw that.
“Liar.”, he accused Dominic.
Destiny looked at Dominic from behind William/Springtrap.
“What have you done ?”, she asked.
“I didn’t do anything ! I swear !”, Dominic yelled.
“LIAR !”, Loki yelled.
“Shut up ! I am honest !”
“You can’t lie to the God of Lies ! WHAT DID YOU DO ?!”
“He messed with the Animatronics ! He messed with the Funtimes, with Fredbear and Spring Bonnie and with the Originals ! The bite of 1987 was Toy Foxy biting a Guard’s head ! The Guard luckily survived, but we found out that someone messed with Toy Foxy ! And every time they were messed with YOU were there and had a satisfied smirk on your visage !”, William yelled.
Destiny stared at Dominic in shock and then at Loki.
“Loki ?”, she asked.
“William isn’t lying. Nothing to detect. But Dominic…he lied now 3 times already.”, Loki confirmed.
Dominic knew his cover blew and there was no way out of it. He cursed and pulled out a gun. He pointed it at Destiny.
“Give me William and no one gets hurt.”, he said coldly.
William growled and started to twitch out in anger, shielding Destiny. He was about to slap Dominic, but Destiny stopped him.
“Don’t ! These bullets are explosive ! They will blow you up !”
“Smart girl.”, Dominic said smirking.
William glared him down and continued to shield Destiny.
“If any of you move, I will shoot them.”, Dominic said loudly.
“I knew he was bad news !”, Freddy yelled.
“You are from HYDRA, aren’t you ?”, Destiny asked emotionlessly.
“You are getting smarter. Sadly too late and slow. I am thankful that you brought me the Asgardian Brothers too. The Boss will be happy to have them as an extra.”, he said darkly.
William growled even louder at that.
“If you touch even one of them I will kill you.”, William said.
Dominic laughed darkly.
“And how will you do that ?! You can’t even move !”
Destiny gave him an empty glare.
“HYDRA will be so happy to have you back, Test Subject 119087.”, Dominic told William.
William stared in fear at Dominic as he held up a needle. He laughed evilly and then stopped all of a sudden. He stared at his feet and the floor in shock. The floor was frozen and his feet were frozen in too.
“What the…?!”
“You forget that I never go alone without precautions. I AM NEVER ALONE.”, Destiny said darkly.
An animalistic growl was heard and not even a second later a Frost Giant pounced at Dominic from the dark. Dominic screamed in panic and pain, his gun frozen. The Giant beat the living shit out of him and then chained him up.
He turned to Destiny and William.
“Are you alright ?”, he asked.
“Yeah. You should go back home now. Thank you. I owe you.”, she told him and hugged the Giant.
“Anything for an old friend.”, he mumbled.
Destiny smiled and then playfully smacked the Giant’s ass, making him yelp.
“Now get back home. They will be worried sick.”
“Yes, Ma’am.”
With that he disappeared.
“What just happened ?”, Bonnie asked.
“A FROST GIANT ?! YOU WORK WITH A FROST GIANT ?!”, Thor and Loki yelled at Destiny.
She looked at them.
“Well, he was like a Brother to me. After what all happened…he found me and raised me. He was stranded on Midgard and with that had a roof. With time he found his way back to Jotunheim and I wanted to stay behind.”, she explained casually.
They blinked at Destiny, mouth agape.
She smiled softly and then looked at William.
“Will ?”, she called softly.
“Yes…?”
“What do YOU want ? Do you want to accompany us or do you think you can stay with the Missing Children ?”, she asked him.
“I rather help you.”, he told her.
She nodded.
“Alright.”
“But we have no van now.”, Thor said.
“I have his keys. So I drive the van and the next stop is Juniors.”, she said.
“What are we searching still ?”, Loki asked.
“First off, we need all the recordings of the Phone Calls in every Location. Golden Freddy you had the ones from Fazbear’s Fright collected and gave them to me. We still need the rest. In Circus Baby’s everything started. The bite of 1983 happened in Fredbear’s Family Diner. I want to know what happened to the soul of the bite victim and I need to find out what happened to Elizabeth. And I need to track down…Michael.”, Destiny said.
“Why ?”, Thor asked confused.
“I don’t want to know if HYDRA took them somehow.”
“Michael is alive ?”, William asked.
“Not sure, Will. We will find out.”, Destiny said.
“What are we waiting for then ?! Let us look for my children !”, William said and marched off.
Loki and Thor started at Destiny.
“All three are his ?!”, he asked.
“Yes.”
With that they left Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and went into the van, driving off.
A/N: I FINALLY got another part done ! EEEEE !

Death & Mischief, Part 2
This is one of two short pieces I wrote for Death Appreciation Week, hosted by @orionsangel86 , about two times that Death of the Endless and Loki of Asgard crossed paths.
Death and Mischief At the World's Fair
Once every hundred years, Death of the Endless becomes human. On this day in May 1893, she is Daisy Smith, a visitor to the World’s Columbian Exhibition, better known as the Chicago World's Fair. But she's not the only immortal being present that day.
~600 words | Rated T | a03 link
Includes spoilers for Loki, Season 2
Tags: Crossovers & Fandom Fusions, Episode: s02e03 1893 (Loki TV), Death Becomes Human for a Day, Historical References, Canon Compliant, Random Encounters, Short One Shot
Daisy chatted excitedly with her cousins, who flanked the smaller girl as they rode the Intramural Railway at the World’s Columbian Exhibition. Charlotte and Beatrice had not, until waking up that morning, had a cousin Daisy. Reality rearranged itself to allow Death of the Endless to become human for a day, once every hundred years. Today she was Daisy Smith, visiting her Chicago relatives so she might see the fair.
Her aunt and uncle sat behind them. It had already been an exciting day, and they were resting their feet as the sounds of brass bands wafted in from the surrounding park. Their little group disembarked at the next station and proceeded to the domed Palace of Fine Arts, where they wandered happily through the galleries, viewing art from masters all over the world.
After stopping for refreshments, they paid a visit to the Chinese Village. Daisy was staring at the red and gold replica of a Potala temple when her attention was drawn to a pair of white gentlemen who were softly arguing nearby.
“I told you: legwork. That requires walking…observing. This time and place is all we've got to go on. So we keep looking until we find a clue,” asserted the shorter man, who had gray hair and a thick mustache beneath his brown fedora.
The taller man, with had dark hair, a green silk tie, and a grumpy expression at odds with the other fair-goers, retorted, “Mobius, do you really think we’ll just stumble across Renslayer if we walk far enough? Because that’s not going to happen.”
“Daisy!” called her aunt, waving her to join them. “Come along, dear. We’re going inside.”
The curious little girl hurried after her relatives, leaving the mysterious men to their argument.
As night fell, all the park lights came on, the fairgrounds seemed even more impressive. Her aunt and uncle were ready to leave, but Daisy, supported by her cousins, begged to ride enormous Ferris Wheel first. The adults capitulated, and they joined the queue.
When they were on board, Daisy pressed close to the wall of the enormous glass carriage, it turned and rose enough for the next carriage to fill with passengers. Finally, their carriage was at the apex of the enormous wheel, and the gleaming lights of the "White City" twinkled down below her.
“Can you believe this is real?” she asked her cousins. “It’s like being in a fairy tale.”
Their carriage turned around the wheel, suddenly showing Daisy a veiw of the two men she’d heard arguing near the temple. They were in the next car with a mustachioed, bespectacled Black gentleman with them. Most shockingly, a white woman in a strange costume was attacking them. Daisy and the other passengers facing the nearby car all gasped and exclaimed over the exchange. Bursts of green light, like some sort of magic trick, kept appearing and disappearing.
“Is it a show?” Charlotte asked.
“I don’t think so,” Daisy replied. “They seem in earnest.”
The commotion ended as quickly as it had begun. No one could understand what had happened. Shortly afterwards, the ride ended. Daisy and her relatives disembarked.
They were heading to the nearest exit when the Ghost Clock, of which they’d heard rumors - appeared suddenly, huge and unbelievable, over the Midway.
“Girls, hurry!” shouted Daisy’s uncle, putting his arms around them and rushing them to safety. Daisy screamed and ran with the other girls. They quickly put the apparition out of sight.
“Well, I shall never forget this night, not in a hundred years!” declared Daisy’s aunt that evening as she tucked the girls into bed. “You’ll certainly have a lot to tell your family when you go home again.”
“I certainly shall,” Daisy replied with a strange, knowing smile.

The Boat in the Water: A Beauty and the Beast Story (Loki x Stella Ransome, An MCU/The Essex Serpent Crossover Multi-Part) Part Six
Fic Summary: Having lost her health and her husband's fidelity and love, Stella has nothing more to lose than her life. Then...she is swept away to another realm, to an enchanted castle. A castle whose master is a god...a god with a striking resemblance to her husband.
Chapter One//Chapter Two//Chapter Three//Chapter Four//Chapter Five//Chapter Six//Chapter Seven Finale (coming soon)
Chapter Summary: A black cat arrives at the Ransome house
Chapter Word Count: 4K
Chapter Warnings: Cheating, portrayed in a negative light with the Will/Cora affair (don't like, don't interact), and somewhat of emotional cheating portrayed in a positive light with our main couple (not that Stella would ever act on it, you know our girl would never). Small plot things, but this is mainly a lot of fluff with a little angst.
A/N: This is a lot of filler fluff, but the idea of Loki becoming a cat to infiltrate the Ransome house was so cute and so funny I had to write about it. So I hope you like it and think it's as cute and funny as I did! Shout out to @muddyorbsblr and @mari-malgamore and @steasstuff for letting me indulge in a Lokitty AU with the Ransomes. I also discovered too late that the show only has two of the Ransome kiddos and not all three like in the book (which makes it worse for Show! Stella because it technically means she lost three children, not just two :'( ) But for continuity's sake for the fic, John is still in.

One day in Aldwinter, a black cat had never been there before. It walked across the marshes to the white house amid a field. It strutted over with an alert tail, as cats usually do, heading to the backyard with a little stick house and a tree and tall poles with lines of laundry.
Loki couldn’t stand it. Being alone in Asgard, in his palace. He did nothing but pace for hours. He was worrying over her. Would she go back into that boat? Or hurt herself in another way? Even if she was better, still…not to mention, would she be unhappy?
He couldn’t sit about and do nothing. He had to make sure Stella was…was…was safe, at least. That she wasn’t miserable.
But he couldn’t do it looking like himself. Stella would recognize him and act differently. And not to mention her husband.
He walked over. Ready for his mission. To appear like an ordinary cat no one would notice- and black to blend into shadows. And secretly glad to have a black fur coat. The air was chilly. Even for spring.
He felt confident. Smug as he could be, for a cat cannot smirk. He would simply stay outside. If anything unpleasant came up, he’d change to his Aesir form and blast it away with magic. He would wait and watch. Probably near the little hut with all of the sticks. Yes, check on her then-
“Ruff! Ruff!”
He turned at the sound of the back door and froze.
Loki forgot to consider they had a dog.
The brown terrier took off, charging towards him. All wagging tail and barks and slobber and teeth.
In a panic, Loki turned and ran as fast as his little cat body would allow. The dog lumbered after him- but it couldn’t match his agile feline speed.
Loki found the closest tree, and getting out his claws, quickly attached himself to the bark and climbed up. Frantically, beyond canine reach. He perched up on a tree, his back arching up and his ears slant.
The dog kept wagging his tail, his bark sharp. He put his front paws on the bark and wagged his tail, announcing to all of Essex that there was a cat on the tree.
Loki glared at him from the branch.
“I am a god, you dull beast! And I shall not be trifled with the likes of you!” he threatened.
But what came out of his mouth was a bunch of meows.
“What’s that?!” cried a small voice, like the cooing of a dove.
Loki was about to deliver a new threat that would come out as a hiss. The dog stopped pawing the tree and turned his head.
Out from the back door were two young children. The first was a girl. A pale face with freckles and long, light brown hair. The boy with a mop of curly dark brown hair.
He remembered they weren’t just any children…
“Look, James, up in the tree!” cried Jo. “Get John! He can calm him down!”
They were Stella’s children. The ones she loved so much, the ones he even saw her deliver to the world in visions. The ones she stayed in the palace to heal. The ones that mattered to the woman he loved.
Out emerged the third, the middle boy. He went to the dog and ordered him to sit and the dog obeyed. Loki found himself relaxing.
“I’ll get him!” offered the girl.
She easily climbed up with her long, slender limbs. She sat on the branch and petted him. He purred and leaned into her touch. He noticed the blue eyes and the sweet smile. Traits she got from her mother- little signs that signaled this was a bit of Stella out there in the world for all to see, how to love.
She scooped the Loki into her arms. Though the dog sniffed at him and wagged his tail, Loki gave him a warning hiss. But he settled.
“Look how sweet he is! Do you think we can let him inside? Do we have a cat now?!” James asked.
“What will Mama and Papa say?” John asked.
“They won’t mind!” Jo assured him. She scratched Loki’s head.
“Feral cats won’t let you do all that- maybe he’s hungry! We should feed him!” John replied.
Yes, he would let them. For then, he would be allowed in the house. He would keep a closer eye on her again and see Stella in her element. No poetic suicide attempts. Just a close watch. Maybe the odd thing of mischief or two. But only to see that Stella and her children too were happy and alive and safe.
Curled like a baby, he let Jo carry her into the house. He even gave another purr and felt her smile over him.
This was already too easy.
He could do it.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
He couldn’t do it.
Already, seconds after they fed him, Jo broke out her old dolls. And her old doll’s clothes.
He was in his third humiliating outfit of a ruffled white dress.
“Look at how they fit! It’s perfect!” John laughed, being the one to hold Loki up.
The last one was a gown where they declared her (since they were unsure of Loki’s gender as a cat) the fairest princess in the land.
Loki was tempted to hiss and scratch his way out. Wriggle until he was out of their arms and bite off the clothes. Or even change to his Aesir form, the clothes ripping into bits as he grew to his actual size. The look on their faces would have been worth it. And the screams!
But no.
These were Stella’s children. They were happy. They deserved to be happy, even if it meant another babydoll dress and hat on him. So he gritted his feline teeth and bore it, though his ears flattened with annoyance.
“Here! Add the hat!” James cheered, handing over a little pink baby’s bonnet from the doll.
Loki let out a meow in protest. But the boys’ little hands fitted the bonnet over his ears. He tied a bow beneath his chin. The children smiled even bigger at the sight of it.
“Just like a real baby!!” Jo cooed.
John began to sway him as they all made up a song to parade him around the brown house. Marching like he was their prize and swinging him back and forth as they sang to the tune of Greensleeves.
‘I am a little cat oh so faaaaiiir just pet and hold and giiiive me miiiilk!”
They were not natural poets, the Ransome children. Not when the eldest was merely thirteen. So the latter part of the verse required simplicity.
“Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meoooooowww, meow meow moew meow meow meeeow meow meow!”
AllMother forbid Thor to see this. Loki was sure that Ragnorak beginning at this moment would be merciful over his brother having more ammunition to tease him.
The door opened and they stopped their song and turned their heads.
“Why, what are you doing, my loves?” asked a soft, feminine voice from the entrance.
Loki felt his ears and face turn.
Stella then entered. She took off the kerchief on her head and her shawl and set it on a doorknob. She smiled at the parade around the house.
“Mama! We found a cat!” James explained.
John held him up to show her proudly.
Loki let go of his glare. He had to be appealing to her. So he fired his biggest, cutest eyes and gave her his sweetest mew.
Stella burst into delighted laughter.
“Set him down- he is probably wanting it,” she instructed.
James relented and released Loki down. He found a way to walk towards her, despite his peripheral vision blocked by the bonnet and the dress. He walked towards Stella’s blue skirt. He heard her ask the children if they knew if the cat belonged to anyone and they replied no, they did not.
“Can we keep him? He doesn’t seem feral!” asked Jo.
“You must remember- you must feed and look after him and give him water and a place to relieve himself. Animals are like babies themselves- you cannot be cruel to deny them their needs. And they may cause some trouble- it is your responsibility!” she lectured them, even leaning down to look into their eyes.
The children claimed that they would nod their heads.
The cat went before Stella. He purred loudly and rubbed against her skirts, giving his sweetest meow. He heard her gasp and melt a little. She leaned down her arm and began to pet him. He leaned even closer to her touch- its smoothness, its gentleness that he loved, even in this form.
“Oh, what a little dear you are!” she cooed. She got him out of his little doll clothes by picking him up and putting him in her lap on the chair. But he made sure to be sweet and pliant. She looked carefully at his body, and then at the children.
“I think he is male. But how is he with Dan?” Stella asked.
Loki looked over and there was the dog, wagging his tail and wanting to play again.
“Dan doesn’t hurt him!” John explained. “They get along! Dan’s always good with cats! He just wants to chase them and play with them!”
“Well, you know your father must name any male pet we have after the twelve sons of Jacob…” Stella began.
Jo stood up proudly and began to recite. “I already know all of them now- Nephtali, Issacar, Judah, Benjamin, Joseph, Asher-”
“It should be Asher! For his ashy face!” cried James.
Stella looked down with a laugh as she stroked Loki again.
“Oh, then Asher it is!” Stella laughed.
Allowed into the house, Loki began his mission to make himself the best cat he could for her. Followed her as she made dinner, took care of a few chores, and asked after the children. At one point, he heard a noise beneath the table and found James hiding there. He meowed at Stella to signal her. She leaned down, pulled up the tablecloth, and smiled at the hiding boy. Then she got up and fixed a saucer of biscuits. Crouching down, she brought them to James beneath the table with a smile that made Loki melt on the inside.
The second she sat down, Loki was on her lap. Kneading on her, much to her joy. Or laying down in the submissive pose with his belly up and his paws curled.
“Oh, he likes you, mama!” John said.
Loki was happily in her lap, curled up and warm and content.
Then the dog barked at him, Jumping and wanting to play. Loki gave him a good swat.
“You shall leave us alone, shall you!” he cried. Only it came out as a “Mrow!”.
But the dog obeyed Stella’s commands and left her alone. This was it- this was almost like the peace of Valhalla. She was petting him, everything was warm and cozy. Jo was reading her book and the boys were playing a game. It was perfect, absolutely per-
The door creaked open.
“Papa!” shouted James.
In came Will, looking perfectly snug in his large, green scarf and coat, a sweater beneath him. Loki felt himself stiffen as he turned his curly head towards there, even with three children who all got up to hug him.
Will went over to Stella with the chair, looking down at Loki. A half-laugh came out of him with a smile. But Loki did not smile back. He instead gave him his biggest death glare. Which, given his current species, proved quite simple.
This did not deter the reverend.
“The children found a cat,” Stella explained.
Will went over and reached his large hand towards the new pet.
“Hello there, little fellow,” he began.
Loki could not play sweet little kitten around him.
He swatted at Will’s paw quickly.
“A feisty fellow!” Will chuckled.
He reached again to pet the cat. Loki batted Will away and hissed at him.
“Oh, he is only not used to you!” Stella claimed. “Give him time!”
She did scoop him off of her lap (to a protesting meow) to embrace and kiss her husband. Loki did everything in him not to gag.
As dinner was being served and plates were appearing on the table, Loki wished to join them. That wish was not granted.
The dog wanted to play. He barked and wagged his tail, prancing around him. Loki could not avoid him wherever he was. He tried to ignore him by lying down on a small blue rug on the floor.
“I shall have nothing with you, Midgardian scum,” Loki silently cursed.
The dog in answer picked up the rug and dragged it across the house with Loki dragging on it. He meowed in protest, much to the amusement of the Ransome family. Who applauded and laughed like they were watching a play.
It had felt like ages and dinner was done by the time the dog was bored of him and he went to the table. Stella had picked some bits of chicken, set it on a blue saucer, and leaned down on the floor offering it to Loki.
“Here you are. For your troubles,” she offered.
He ate every bit of it.
The world was inky with night as each person settled into their bed. Stela noted that the cat ended up in her room. As she unbuttoned her dress and removed her corset and petticoats, she noticed the cat in a corner with both paws over his eyes. She giggled lightly as she finally put her nightgown on.
After all, Loki was a gentleman.
He did not do the same when the husband undressed into his shift. What did he care if Will was the one undressing? For some godsforsaken reason unknown to him, it was his own cock anyway.
Will went to the chair to read, the pages flipping quietly. Settling in.
With a contented sigh, Stella pulled up the covers of the blankets and settled into bed. Her hair was still in her braid, draping over her shoulder. With her ruffled nightgown, she seemed every bit.
Loki hopped up over the blankets to her.
“Oh, hello!” she said.
He curled up on her chest and her chest, purring. With another beautiful smile, she stroked his fur.
He loved it- to just touch her, be with her in this form. To hold her and feel her. How warm and comfortable and safe and alive she felt.
The bed shifted as a second weight got on.
Loki shot the occupant a glare and then focused on Stella again.
Will each time Will got close, Loki would turn around and glare at him. Daring him to lay a hand on Stella, bonds of Christian matrimony be damned. And Loki would let out a growl or a slap if Will attempted to pet him. The viar only sighed and settled into his half of the bed.
Stella slept all night with the cat curled on her. When she awoke, he stretched and greeted her, wishing to snuggle more before she got out of bed. She had never been this cozy in ages.
The week passed on blissfully. Will was gone for long periods. Stella remained at home, keeping everything tidy, rearranging her collection, sometimes making trips to pay calls, and waiting for the children to come home. Sunday morning came and went with everyone scrambling to get ready and head to church, then return home, and sink into a half exhaustion all afternoon.
Loki wasn’t complaining. He liked being her companion. Being near her all the time.
Tuesday, there was a visitor.
In walked a woman with small eyes and high cheekbones with a soft face. Her nose was up in the air with confidence and her long, almost wavy blonde hair, streaked with red was up in a bun, though strands came loose. She wore a grey coat. Beside her was a young boy with straight brown hair that fell over his eyes. He kept his eyes low but looked up softly as Stella went forward to greet them.
Her steps paused. Loki noticed why.
The woman wore Will’s green scarf.
She said she was here to see him and go off on another walk. She patted her son’s shoulder. Stella kept her gentle smile, but remained still, though her eyes sometimes flickered to the scarf. She said he would be in the backyard and that yes, Frankie is welcome to stay.
The woman looked down at the black cat. Loki backed down, ears flat, and gave her a loud hiss.
“Don’t mind him, he doesn’t like strangers!” Stella replied.
Then the lady squeezed the boy’s shoulder, turning off with almost a flourish. And the boy stayed behind, his shoulders tight.
“How are you, Mrs. Ransome? I-I heard you got better,” he asked.
“Oh, I’m fine, Frankie. Come on in, I’ll fix you some tea,” she offered. Taking his hand.
Loki wasn’t sure of the lad at first. It seemed unfair to hiss at him because of who his mother was. Yet Stella liked him. She smiled at him and talked to him like a friend. She made him tea with some honey. He held his cup with both hands and sipped it politely.
“Mrs. Ransome…I know people call me disturbed. I can’t pretend like I don’t…am I?” he asked.
“Oh, no, you’re not at all. I think you’re a very wise, patient, sensitive boy and you have nothing to be ashamed of,” she spoke to him.
As she got out her collection to show the new additions, they talked happily. She beamed at him, letting him go through whatever he wanted. He then found the flowers from the time she was with Loki in the field and pulled them up.
“Where did you find these?” he asked.
Loki jolted up from the floor.
“I was sent to a place to recover. And it was run by a man. Loki is his name. He was incredibly kind to me. And he found out about my collection so he took me on a trip to see a field full of those flowers. I will never forget him…it’s thanks to him and his generosity I am still alive,” she recalled. A slight pink to her face and her smile was genuine.
“He sounds nice,” Frankie said.
“He didn’t think himself as nice. He…he had some troubles in his life, just like you. But sometimes people don’t realize that they’re not as bad as they think they are.” she replied, adding on.
She touched his arm and looked at him with a motherly glow.
“So do not worry if others think you are disturbed. You have done nothing wrong. And if you continue to be as you are, they will learn they are wrong about you.” she said.
Loki went up to Frankie’s legs and began to rub on them, purring. The boy almost jumped.
“You said he doesn’t like strangers!” said Frankie.
“Well, he likes you,” Stella replied.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
But what use is a mischief god if he just sits around rubbing against people’s legs and purring all day? Loki had to cause some trouble. And he knew how.
Stella was hardly in Will’s office. So she couldn’t stop him. Sneaking in the shadows thanks to his black fur, he arrived that day in Will’s study. No doubt what was happening right now with him and Cora was not in the least bit academic. So he needed to be punished.
After all, he promised Stella he wouldn’t end his life. That meant everything else could be done instead.
Loki hopped onto the desk and the bookshelves. Maneuvering his paws, he knocked over one book. Then he snuck into its crevice and knocked down the one next to that. Being a cat, he could squeeze easily into the shelves for books that weren’t pushed in.
When Will returned, whole rows of his precious, long-kept book collection were knocked onto the floor.
Will shooed the cat out.
The cat got back into the room. He targeted the large, open book on the desk and clawed up.
Will shooed him out.
The cat returned to the room. He scratched up a love letter from Cora. He urinated in it for good measure.
Will tossed him out and kept the door locked from that point on.
Then again every night, Loki would snuggle with Stella. Playing the devil with the husband and the angel with the wife.
But every time he thought he could knock something of Will’s over with her present, she would look at him and tilt her head. He would back down with lowered ears and widen his eyes. If only he could let his magic conjure a halo over his head.
There was one afternoon, as he went about to cause mischief to Will’s belongings again, Stella said “Loki, is that you?”
He froze, looking at her. Blinking slowly. What should he do?
But she went up and leaned down.
“Don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone. But you must behave yourself or I will not give you any chicken from dinner.”
Loki went up to her, purring and rubbing against her to seal the promise.
As another week passed, Will was spending even less time at home. And the time he was with Stella, they were more quiet. More stiff. They talked less. Smiled even fewer.
One morning, Will was already gone. Stella awoke in her nightgown, went to the window, and stared out, her face pale and frowning. When Loki hopped by her, he could only see the fields and forests outside.
He touched a paw on her just barely, and she did not respond. Her memories coming up to him.
Will and Cora- Cora in her red dress. They were in the marshes and muck…and Will was on top of her. Doing what you would expect from the lusty vicar.
And Stella watched it all through that very window.
He returned his paw. Fury building silently in him. How he wished he could turn into his Aesir form and bring more chaos to Will than a few upturned books. But he saw a tear go down her eye.
He meowed sweetly, touching a paw at her until she turned her head. He crawled up to her and purred, leaning against her. She picked him up and he leaned close to her She needed comfort, to not be alone. To not tear herself apart for others and never consider herself. No, right now, she only needed to be loved.
That night, he was especially affectionate at bedtime. He laid right on Stella’s lap to cuddle her. The picture of a perfect feline companion.
Will had already undressed. It was a warmer night and he was sleeping bare this time. He sat up in bed reading his Bible. Loki wouldn’t even look at him and remained on Stella.
He heard the Bible close and being put away.
Then Will caught Loki off guard and scooped up the cat into his arms. Loki was so surprised he let out a meow despite himself.
He was plopped onto Will’s bare chest.
“Ah! There I have you! I think I got you now! I think it’s time we be friends and let a man enjoy embracing his wife,” Will replied triumphantly, a smile on his face.
Loki had enough.
He bit Will’s nipple.
A loud, masculine scream exploded in the white house.
Will let go of his hold on Loki as he hopped out of his arms. He went onto the floor and sat to watch with triumphant slow blinks. Will lept out of bed, hunching over in pain. Stella ran over to him to put a hand on his arm.
“Will-it’s alright! Let me see!” she was consoling. But there was a smile on her face, trying to suppress chuckling and be a good wife.
The children scurried over, wondering about the commotion as the door barely creaked open. They took in the scene of their father naked with nothing to cover him. Without saying another word, they closed the door and hurried back into their rooms, the image, unfortunately, burned into their mind. Even as handsome as Will was, papa’s bum is papa’s bum
Stella helped him with the bite marks. But she laughed. Despite her scolding the cat and seeing that the marks didn’t bleed, she was laughing the whole time.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Cora returned to be with Will the next afternoon. Dropping off Frankie for Stella to look after the whole time. But today, Stella stood up folded her hands, and went to her.
“I am making dinner. And I will need help- could you please return in an hour? I don’t want my husband to be late,” she asked.
Cora blinked. Loki turned his head between them.
She never did that. She let them run about and do whatever. For as long as they wanted.
But now…now was different…was it, perhaps, she was remembering him?
Cora then dropped her shoulders.
“Of course. One hour,” she replied.
“If he is not, I will go and search for you both,’ she replied.
Cora nodded begrudgingly.
Loki smiled as much as a cat could smile. He purred again with pride. She was doing even better than he expected and she was slowly standing up for herself more. Asserting what she wanted, bit by bit. Far more than the sacrificial wife in the boat.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
After some time, Loki decided enough was enough. With his magic, he snuck out and made himself a lady in town and conjured the black cat. He knocked on the door and explained that her cat was long missing the family and thanked them for taking care of him and keeping him safe. They all assured her that he was perfect. The lady promised the family their friend would be just as petted and spoiled as he was here. He made the conjured cat happy and grateful to be in his real owner’s arms. So they said their goodbyes, and despite the tears, they were joyful little Dan found his home again.
With a silent smile, he returned to Asgard.
That next afternoon, the house was completely quiet. The children were away. Will was away. The dog was asleep. And Stella thought to herself of how alone she felt. Alone-and at least she could indulge in her memories.
The castle. The dances. The dinners. The flower field. His dark hair. His impish smile.
She went to her room and from her wardrobe. On the bottom was a box, rectangular and long. Opening the lid, she looked down on the soft velvet where she kept the dagger.
Perfectly safe. Lovely as a gem. She traced the hilt with a finger, careful to avoid the blade.
“Oh, Loki…” she whispered with longing.
She missed Loki. Missed him so badly, so much…but she would never see him again.

Bittersweet Blood
About:
What if Loki was Sally Jackson? Thus, Percy is born a half-blood of two gods from differing patheons. It's time Loki and Percy took the Marvel Universe by storm.

Chapter 2, Part 5: The Sea Protects
Triton looked deep in thought as he calmed down and finally looked up, “I don’t think the child needs to forgo their Norse heritage. The Greek and Norse worlds are vastly different, and knowing about the Norse side of things shouldn’t increase the child’s danger like it will if they know about the Greek side. Because even Greek gods' scent increases with their awareness, and there are plenty of monsters and gods who would take advantage of a young god.”
Triton adds, “In fact it would probably be more beneficial for the child to know about their Norse side sooner, so they can practice their powers and will be more than prepared to fight monsters and survive. Of course, only when they are old enough to properly handle a weapon.”
Loki smiles in awe. He wants his child to know their Norse heritage, for it to not just be some dirty secret. Loki is glad. It feels much better to just hide parts of his child’s heritage, not forever, just until they can learn to properly defend themselves, and later to learn their Greek heritage when it’s time to tell them when it’s time to accept their destiny.
Poseidon grins widely, “And that means I can still train our child how to use a trident and how to command the ocean and strategize. I’ll just have to pretend to be an Asgardian.”
‘That I can still be in their life.’ went unsaid, but Loki and Amphitrite heard it loud and clear.
“How will we explain our names, though, and powers? We can’t even risk any hint of Greek into the child’s life to keep them the safest? And will the child live on the surface?” Triton asks.
“Well, I think that would be for the best. I do quite want to continue living on the surface even if it is lovely down here.” Loki responds.
Loki continues, “Also, I am very familiar with changing names and appearance. In fact I have a current mortal identity known as Sally Jackson, and she, I, am quite proud of how well I was able to adjust to Mid-” Loki cuts himself on, remembering what Poseidon said about calling Earth Midgard, and clears his throat, “Human culture.”
Then, Loki’s face goes white. He just admitted that he was female sometimes, and oh Norns, would they be disgusted with him?
Except all he sees when he looks toward Amphitrite and Triton all he sees is interest, and is that adoration from Amphitrite.
Loki shakes his head, he knew he was overthinking, but still that fear of being judged doesn’t just go away. Even when he’s been accepted and supported by Poseidon and his friend Malia. It’s still hard to tell others and not assume the worst.
“Hmm, can you help us with that dear?” Amphitrite asks sweetly, her voice like honey.
Loki nods his head eagerly and confesses, “Sure, though the most important thing is to find appearances and names that you are comfortable with and connect to, especially if you’ll be using them for an unknown time. For instance, though I picked the name Sally and later the mortal last name Jackson on a whim, I connect with the name, and Sally is who I am when I’m female. Though I did recently add the middle name Sylvie, since she was the first name I chose when I was younger, and I still wanted her to be part of my name.”
Loki looks away, embarrassed and still a little scared.
But Amphitrite grabs Loki’s hand and smiles, “That sounds lovely dear, and I would love to see her sometime.”
Loki smiles back, ‘see her’, not ‘meet her’. Amphitrite distinguished that Loki was still the same person as Sally, but just female.
“Alright! We’ll have to talk some more later. It’s getting quite late, and I’m sure Loki wants to go to sleep in his own bed.” Poseidon states.
And wow, Loki is feeling quite tired now that he thinks about it, and nods in agreement.
Before they turn to leave, Amphitrite grabs Loki’s hand and asks, “Can I hug you?”
Loki looks bewildered, “Yes, but why?”
Amphitrite gently hugs Loki, her large mer body dwarfing Loki’s small frame, but it felt so nice and comforting.
“I just thought you needed one.” Amphitrite answers.
“Thanks.” Loki whispers to her.
“Goodbye Amphitrite and Triton, it was wonderful meeting you too, and we’ll meet again sometime soon.” Loki waves to his new friends? Family? Family, Loki decides.
“Goodbye my Βασίλισσα (“Queen”), and πολύτιμος γιος (“precious son”), I’ll see you again soon.” Poseidon tells his family.
“Goodbye father, and goodbye Loki.” Triton says, his face, bright gold in embarrassment.
“Goodbye my love, and make sure to keep Loki safe.” Amphitrite warns. “And see you soon υπέροχο σμαράγδι (“lovely emerald”).” Amphitrite whispers just to Loki.
Loki's face heats up bright red, and Amphitrite just grins sharply back.
Then, Loki grabs Poseidon’s hand, and he flashes them into Loki’s cabin.
Loki smiles, glad to be around back home. Home, huh, that feels right. And not too long afterward makes his way to bed, and drags Poseidon along and whispers in his ear, “Thank you for everything.”
“Of course my love.” Poseidon whispers back, just before the curtains of night fall upon Loki and he falls asleep.
Notes:
And that's the end of chapter 2! Hope you all enjoyed this fic and crossover. The rest will be posted on ao3 eventually.
Also, some things will be changed and edited before I post to ao3, so if you do eventually read it on there, please keep that in mind.
One such change I already made is that Percy will only be partially aware of his Norse heritage at first, not that Sally/Loki is a god.

The vampire and the raven
chapter 4
updated 11/21/25
not as long of a chapter
font in purple is inner monologe
It’s been two weeks since shopping with the girls, eating lunch daily with the Cullens, being with Jasper every moment I could, and finally, he asked me for dinner/game night at the Cullen home. The night before, I was finally able to contact Mom and Dad. They were finally back from Vanaheim on their diplomatic mission, the magic circle glowing lightly as Mother's smiling face appeared. Dressed in her favorite yellow gown
“Oh, my darling little raven, I’ve missed you so much.”
“I miss you too, momma; how are you and the babies?”
“They are both okay. Little Nari is becoming a troublemaker like your father, trying to wander off any chance he gets now that they are crawling, all while Vali is an even bigger troublemaker by simply disappearing; we've had to put magic dampeners on them with a locating spell since the two are
determined to wander around.
“Norns, I wish I could have seen that; I love them.
“They miss you, dear, always asking where their big sister is.
“Oh, I miss them too; kiss their little bellies for me.
“I will love, now tell me everything that's been happening.
After telling my Mother about meeting my soulmate and his family and their immortal infliction
“So they are immortal. And they survive on other creatures' blood.?”
“Yes, momma, but they aren’t evil. I know anything relating to blood or blood magic isn't usually a good thing, but from everything Lucas has found out and everything I’ve observed, they are good people who have made the most out of an infliction cast upon them. They've all had to leave everyone they know and love behind and reconstitute themselves every several years.”
“Oh, how horrible,”
“Exactly, but in a way, this is good. I will have my soulmate so much longer than I thought before we even have to think of going through the transition of Idunn Apple.
“Yes, my dear, that is a positive note, but I don’t want you to get hurt; I worry so much.” The father's voice rings out from the background.
“Did I just hear my daughter's soulmate is immortal on Midgard?”
“Yes, Father, you did.” Now that Father was in the frame, I recanted my story with both parents present.
“How very interesting. I'll have to search the royal libraries for anything we have. If not, I do trust you, daughter. You’ll collect information to soothe my curiosity.”
“Of course, father, but are you not worried?”
“Of course not, dear; from what you’ve said, it seems the young man has a good head on his shoulders and treats you exceptionally. However, I want you to hold off on revealing your heritage until you know much more about them and their culture. I would hate for my little raven to get hurt, and I have to demolish an entire species.”
“No destruction, father. Everything will be fine. I understand what you are saying; from bits and pieces I've heard recently, when they think I can't hear them, something is going on involving Bella and Edward; until I know more, I'll hold off.”
“Good girl, my little raven. Keep us updated, my dear, and know that your lady mother and I are here for you no matter what.”
“Thanks, Dad. I love you.”
“We love you, dear. Sleep well, our little princess.”
After four months of notable dates with Jasper, girls' nights with Bella and the Cullen girls, and even joining family games nights, I walk into the cafeteria one Monday morning to see Bella with the morning's paper, the headline standing out in bold black lettering.
DEATH TOLL ON THE RISE, POLICE FEAR GANG ACTIVITY
The air is thick, and the silence is deafening. I can tell that something is seriously wrong.
“What’s going on, guys.”
“Hey girl, how are you today,” Emmet says, standing up to squeeze me, trying to distract me from the tense atmosphere till Jasper walks back over after speaking tensely with Edward in the corner.
“I'm good, but you all obviously aren’t; what’s going on?"
“It's nothing, darling; everyone's okay,” Jasper says as he squeezes my hand before pulling me into his arms.
“Yeah, we are all just a little shaken up over the news, is all,” Rue says
“ I can see that. That's horrible.”
“Yeah, it’s nothing we all can’t handle, thou! ovvfff”. Rose jabs her elbow into Emmet's stomach, cutting him off.
“Anyway, elara, guess what?”
“What, Alice?”
“Us girls are having a sleepover this weekend. The boys are hiking, so we will have the house all ourselves.”
“Oh really, you going for a hike, cowboy.”
“Yeah, me, Emmett, Edward, and Carlisle.
“Oh well, you be safe up there. I would hate for a bear to get you, “I say jokingly, knowing he’ll be fine.
“Naw, Elara, that's the fun part; we love catching bears ug.” Emmet receives yet another elbow to the stomach.
“Babe, will you stop elbowing me?”
‘Your hilarious Emmet. But I'd be happy to have a sleepover this weekend.”
“Great, it's settled, and we’ll have so much fun. I already know it.”
“You always do, Alice. Well, I'll see you all later in class,” I say, waving to the others before turning in Jasper's arms to kiss him and hope he has a better day. Walking off, though, I hear Edward telling the others that they must scout the area soon; they have figured out who it is on the killing spree. How interesting, he said who, not what.
I can tell the mood within the Cullen clan slowly declines throughout the week. Every headline darkens the family of vampires more and more, and by Friday, I can no longer ignore the situation. I must know what's happening and can’t be more delicate about the problem. It's lunch period when I approach them sitting around their cars.
“Ok, that's it, all of you, What’s going on?
“It’s nothing, darling.”
“It’s not nothing, Jasper. I can tell something’s wrong.”
The group looked around, a silent conversation ensued. Edwards's face stiffened as Alice gave him a knowing look. Before, Rosalie spoke up.
“Elara, it's not something we can discuss right now. Let us talk to our parents first, and then we will let you know our decision. OK, I'm sorry, but this has to be discussed elsewhere.”
“Fine, I'll accept that. Let me know when you all are ready, and I'll be there.”
“We'll see you then.” I nod and walk away from the cars, only to have Jasper stop me
“Darling, I'm sorry.”
“It’s fine, Jasper. I understand family is important, and I trust all of you. I just want to help if I can.”
“Thank you, dear; everything will be sorted out.”
“I know love, and I'll wait for you always.”
The Cullens pov
Moving the tense conversation home, the Cullens huddle together, not caring if they miss class.
“So what are we going to do?”
“I vote we just tell her; you told Bella Edward.”
“I didn’t just tell her Alice Bella figured it out.”
“Whatever. ”
“Either way, I want to tell Elara. She’s my mate and could be in just as much danger as Bella if these mysterious vampires keep running around town. I will not have my mate in danger.”
“Calm down, Jasper; it’ll be fine. I'm with Alice; I vote to tell Elara.”
“Of course, you side with your mate, rue.”
“Oh, stuff it, Edward, or do you forget why we are in this situation.”
“Rue, you want to start this shit with me again.”
“Okay, the two of you separate. I'm with Jasper as well, Eddy, so you're outnumbered,” Emmett states, stepping between his siblings.
“Come one, guys. Rose, come on.”
“Unfortunately, Edward, I agree with emmet. I like Elara. She is smart and caring and has an amazing way of thinking about herself, and I don’t want her to be in trouble, either. We've all gotten close to her.”
Edward broods like always, all his siblings looking at him, waiting for his answer.
“Fine, I guess you win.”
“I'll call Carlisle; someone else, let Esme know. Jasper, call Elara.” Alice barks out. Everyone goes into planning mode, waiting to ensure everything is to tell Elara the truth safely.
Elaras pov
As I enter the Cullen house, I can tell they are all internally fighting with themselves over telling me things. I wished I could ease their worries and tell them they are baseless, that I know what they are, and that I'm also not human. But my father's words ring in my ear about protecting myself while on Midgard, to be wary of evil humans like that horrible hydra group and countless others who could do things to me while on earth if they got ahold of me and my abilities alone if they knew of vampires and also got ahold of the Cullens. No, I kept my mouth shut.
Just as the thoughts start consuming me, Jasper wraps his arm around me, and I become enveloped in him. The woodsy scent on his shirt and the slight brush of his golden curls against my forehead. It was just us in the whole world, and nothing terrible would happen to me or him. I see Carlisle and Esme enter the living room.
“Good evening,
“Oh, Elara, dear, good evening. I'm so glad you decided to come over. I know this is all probably stressful.” Esme gently glides over to me, embracing me with a giant hug.
“No, I'm happy to be here. I want to know what’s happening to help if possible.”
“You're a brave girl, dear. Let's all take a seat then. Carlisle, why don’t you start?”
“Ok, so how to begin? Have you seen the news lately about the recent killings and people going missing in Seattle?”
“Yes
“Well, those events are being done by a being that the local tribe has called cold ones.”
“Cold ones?”
“Yes, cold ones are beings that do not age, have superior strength, speed, sight, everything to humans. They are the perfect biological superior being to humans. The only downfall of the race is that they must consume the essence of other sentient beings to survive”.
“A more updated term would be vampires, blood suckers, killing machines.”
“Edward, that kind of talk is not necessary.”
‘Carlisle, she needs to know what she is getting into
“Edward, shut up,” Jasper growls out next to me. I visibly tense under the angry energy rolling off of him.
“Make me Jasper, you're the most dangerous of us, is anyone should say something than….”
“ENOUGH,” Esme raises her voice to stop her children's quarrels.
“Elara, dear, there is no way to say this gently, but all of us here except Bella are cold ones, vampires. However, we do not hurt human beings. We are vegetarians in a way; we all consume animal blood to sustain ourselves. Due to things about to affect our family and how close you’ve become with Jasper and the rest of us, we want to ensure you are safe and protected, which you can only be if you know the truth.”
The room is silent as a morgue. Everyone just waiting to see my reaction. When they don't get one, they start getting nervous.
“Elara, are you ok? Do you feel faint? Or anything?’
I just look at Carlisle and shake my head, feeling Jasper take my hands and kneel before me, trying to see if I'm in shock.
“Darlin, please say something; I'm sure you have a million things to ask.”
“Nope.”
“What!” Edward spews from the wall he’s leaning on.
“Nope, I'm fine.”
“You're seriously fine with everything they said to you. Even Bella freaked out for a day after she figured it out, and I had to comfort her.
“Oh, Edward, trust me when I say I’ve heard weirder stories, and besides, there's superpowered people throughout the world; who am I to jilt you all for not being human.”
Looking around, all I could see was where the gears in everyone’s heads turned, and astonishment crossed their faces.
“Are you all going to combust or something?”
“No darling, we were just all expecting something different.”
“Oh cowboy, is this what you’ve been so worried about when you think I'm not paying attention? That you would scare me off.”
“Yeah.”
“Well, wipe that away because it's not happening. But I do have one question.
“Yes”
“You said earlier if I had heard about all the killings and disappearances in Seattle, what exactly is going on, and what does it have to do with your family.”
“Well, that is a long story.”
The following week, I saw a difference in the Cullens' attitudes. They now freely tell me their quote-on-quote camping stories and much more about their lives, how each Cullen became a Cullen. So far, Rosalie's story is my favorite. Like a true Valkyrie, she took down those horrible men who abused her with quite a clever flair, and even though how she became a vampire was not her choice, I can tell that she was happy with Emmett.
Rue's story was similar in a way; she was mugged and fatally stabbed; Alice found her shortly after and was able to get her to Carlise in time to be changed. After she adjusted and learned Alice was her mate, she felt like everything in her life came together. Her biological family and her weren’t close by any means due to her sexual orientation. This was when I learned many Midgardians don't accept their own offspring or family members due to the gender they loved or represented themselves as, indeed boggling my mind with my gender-fluid father. Thank the Norns; Rue found a family that truly loved her for just being her.
While I’ve learned more about the Cullens, I’ve also learned to read them much better. Right now, all I'm reading is that Edward and Bella are not seeing eye to eye, considering he's not at school today, and she’s currently sitting on the other side of the cafeteria.
“Hey, Bella”. I announce as I place my tray across from hers.
“Oh hey, elara.”
“What’s up? Why are you over here.?”
“Edward and I are kinda fighting.”
“Kinda fighting? What’s happening.?”
“It’s Jacob”
“Jacob?”
“Yeah, Jacob black. I used to know him before I moved to Arizona, and now that I'm back, we reconnected and got pretty close when the Cullens disappeared for a while.”
“And let me guess, he has feelings for you.”
“Yeah”
“Well, hmmm, that is a tough one.”
``Yeah, and it doesn’t help that Jacobs is part of the Quileutes.”
“No shit.”
“Yeah”
“So he’s a wolf.” Leaning closer, I whisper wolf, never knowing what nosy teenager is listening to.
“Yeah”
“Well, I must say, you attract some interesting characters, don't you.”
Bella laughs at this, the tension slightly easing out of her shoulder.
“You could say that; I just like Jacob and his pack. They're good people, and I feel bad that many of them have now become wolves cause not only are the Cullens back in forks, but now, with Victoria running around, tensions are high.”
“And each side thinks they can handle it on their own when neither can without their being possible casualties.
“Correct.”
“Well, all we can do is convince them, huh? Is it possible for me to meet the tribe or pack or whatever they prefer?
“Hmmmmm, I mean, it's not a horrible idea. You know what? Sure, let me message them, and we'll go from there.
“OK, just let me know, and don't worry—everything will be fine, okay?”
“Ok.”
“Ok, I'll see you after school. Let me know when anything is set up. Bye Bella”
“Bye elara”
Walking away, all I can feel is the excitement of seeing these shifters up front and seeing how their magic or process works for them to become wolves. Of course, no wolf will probably beat Aunt Helas Fernrir, but this will be interesting.
