I was going through my gallery on my phone, trying to find a specific pic of my niece to my sister, and.... I missed my four (4) year anniversary of being in the LoS fandom. I knew it was in December, but it was December 9, 2019 when I first started looking up pics and stuff for the fandom. Four (4) years. Where has the time gone?

That means it's been about four (4) years since I first played and experienced Gabriel's story. When I got so enraptured in Lords of Shadow 1, that I went to my local game shop, and just so happened to find Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate, as well as Lords of Shadow 2 in one visit.

What makes this.... I guess better is that, Dec. 9 is also the anniversary of something very bad that happened in my life. I guess I was just meant to find Gabriel. This game has made my life so much better. It's helped me through some dark times, as Naruto and Pokemon have. The only difference is that, Naruto and Pokemon also have nostalgia factors, while LoS doesn't have a nostalgia value to me.

I've also made friends through shared spaces within this fandom! Hell, I made a Tumblr to express my love for this trilogy, and I actually have people who are interested in my rambles!

I just wanted to say. Thank you MercurySteam, David Cox, and Hideo Kojima for the trilogy that has changed my life. I honestly don't think I'd be here today if it wasn't for this trilogy.

Yes. You definitely got that right lol. This was what she looked like when she was still human, before she became the Vampire Lord. The castle took her image from a portrait and tried to use her image to draw Gabriel away from his family and back to it instead. Yea the belly out design was the design when she was the Vampire Lord when Gabriel first fought her before he became Dracul.

I should also mention, that ask you tagged me in, that picture is her in LoS1 when she was a vampire lord. This is her design in LoS2, when the castle is using her image to seduce Gabriel back into its clutches. I apologize if this seems nitpicky.

I'm aware! I'm sorry, I just thought the contrast was funny :P (ah, I thought that design was LoS2 because of the disposition of the images, my bad)

... Wait a minute. The belly out design is her as a vampire lord? And this more reasonable design is the fake thirst trap?? Did I get that right???

Hey, I don't know how you feel about Castlevania, so if this makes you uncomfy please ignore! However, for that F/O ship game, the Toymaker from LoS2 just seems up your alley. I see it more as a familiar f/o, but I'll leave the interpretation up to you! This is him in game.

Since our discussion yesterday, I've been trying to figure out how Mactor would work in the LoS universe.

Gabriel is supposed to be a semi equivalence to Mathias.... But that leaves the question, who would be the equivalent to Hector?

Unless..... I could make an au with Mathias and Hector in the modern time of LoS2 👀.

The level that plays the song is one of the strangest in the game in my opinion. Gabriel gets shrunk down and put into a music box to help Baba Yaga. Every key he finds in the music box is a note to the song, and he has to put them together in different orders to solve the puzzles!

I could recommend any of them! Both MoF and LoS2 do a really good job in catching up with those who haven't played LoS1!

Man that's wild; I'm glad that the LoS timeline managed to maintain the weird funkyness of the setting (including the castle and it's toxic simpness for its master hehe)

I think one of the biggest differences is probably between the Renard women! I don't know much about Maria Renard, but I know she's related to the Belmonts, and that she is a sweet plucky girl who throws pigeons at Dracula! I love her design by the way? Like, she's adorable!

Now, I couldn't find it on the wiki, but I swear it's in the games that Marie from LoS is a Renard! However, I think she's only referred to as Marie Belmont. I don't think she is exactly like Maria, but she is a strong stubborn woman. And one of the only ones who is capable of soothing and helping Gabriel, even after he becomes Dracul. She also refers to him as My Love, and I'm a sucker for that. She was also his childhood sweetheart and wife! She comes back to help him in LoS2, but it's unclear whether or not she is alive again, or is still a spirit that is capable of sometimes coming back when Gabriel needs her most.

Hello, I've heard that you're an expert on LOS lore. Some people claim that in one trailer for LOS2 you can see Dracul visiting the tombs of Marie and Laura, do you know anything about that?

Oh, with the advent of Netflix Castlevania, I've more or less left the LoS fandom... But I can tell you that those tombs were just a set piece; Gabriel never mentions them anywhere in the script.
