Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 - Revelations

When Alucard finally dies and enters the afterlife, he's going to spend days just cuddled up to Trevor and Sypha, getting used to existence on the other side and absorbing all of the comfort he's been missing for the last however-many-odd-centuries.

Every generation of Belmont that he's ever helped/befriended is going to want to see him, and a buttload of other very curious souls are probably going to be clamoring for a meet-and-greet, but they're all going to have to wait their turn because Trevor and Sypha have no intentions of "sharing" their favorite dhampir anytime soon.

It'd be absolutely hilarious if there was an honest to god que, I can easily picture Sypha yelling at everyone to "Pick a number, and shut the fuck up!"

Trevor and Sypha's kids get first dibs on the reunion after Alucard is finally okay enough to see more of his immediate, first found family without breaking down completely for the second time.

Then Grant has his turn.

Then Trevor and Sypha's grandkids, and so on. This continues until all of the closest Belmonts, Belnades, and Dynasties have had their fill of reunion-ing.

Soma is definitely up there in heaven with everybody else, he 100% starts a fistfight with Richter over who's turn it is before a very disgruntled Simon Belmont breaks them up because it's actually Maria's turn.

I like to imagine that Lisa is up there from time to time, too. Alternating back and forth between heaven and hell at will, so that she can see her husband and son with equal regularity.

Alucard spends several days just glued to his mom, ignoring everything and everyone else around them until she introduces him to her human family.

The idea of Lisa's parents being up there is hilarious, I want them to be progressive cinnamon rolls just like their daughter, and I want Alucard to struggle with being the center of their attention. The idea of having ever had human relatives in Lupu is very hard for Alucard to wrap his head around.

Sypha and Trevor also have a varitable army of dead people that they want him to meet, between Trevor's relatives and the speakers.

Trevor's family is nice enough, at least Gabriel, Marie and everyone else who died during the burning of the Belmont estate are all civil.

Sypha's extended family is incredibly sweet and curious, to the point of being almost suffocating.

Moving on, Leon Belmont is probably one of the kindest unknown parties that Alucard has met so far since his death. The founder of the Belmont clan harbors a soft presence that comes across as almost calming, and he seems to know an awful lot of embarrassing shit about Dracula for some reason.

Some lady named Elisabetha is there, too.

She seems to know Leon pretty well.

Tell us about "Purgatory Belmonts."

That was fast👀 I'm not surprised that you're curious about that of all the WIPs (affectionate)

Okay so, when Leon swore that he and his kin would destroy the night, he also made another promise;

"None of the wielder of the vampire killer will reach heaven until Dracula's blood is put to rest."

So Leon and many other ancestors of Trevor who have used or handled the whip, including Trevor's parents (Gabriel and Marie) are stuck in purgatory, bound to look after their burned home until Dracula's bloodline is erased. His siblings are not stuck because they have not wielded the whip.

The main fic focuses on the ghosts' daily activities and being bored asf because there's nothing much to do. Until Trevor comes back (much to their excitement) with two other people searching for the Belmont hold and a way to kill Dracula.

Not soon after, Leon realises who the blond warrior is and the alchemist Belmonts are very impressed by the ginger haired magician. After the canon stuff happens (mostly) Trevor decides to stay behind while Sypha visits her family.

The Belmonts come to terms (and grow fond) with the son of Dracula.

Have some newlyweds Gabriel and Marie, the day after their wedding.

Gabriel woke up to a dark cottage. It was too early for the sun to rise yet, so the moon cast her soft glow into the room still. His eyes slowly open and blink into awareness. The knight was used to waking up early, no matter if he had a job or mission that day. However, when his eyes focused on the figure beside him, this wasn't his routine that woke him.

Beside him, was his best friend of nearly twenty years. Now his wife of one day, out of many more. Gabriel's heart fluttered at the sight of Marie in the moonlight. She looked so peaceful and beautiful. His arms tighten around her and he buries his face in her hair. Marie stirred, but only enough to cuddle closer, and sigh his name gently in her sleep.

Gabriel had dreamed of this since he was a little boy, stuck in the Brotherhood of Light's orphanage. He had prayed and begged God for a family. A large one. One that pushed the seams of the cottages in the village. Most adults were unsettled by Gabriel when he was a child, so he was in the orphanage until adulthood. It was strange, watching many of his brothers and sisters be adopted, and watching many more come in through those doors, but always wondering why no one wanted him.

He didn't mind it now. After all, it led to him finding the love of his life, and the mother of their future children. Gabriel sighs softly. The wedding was still fresh on his mind, and the ring on his hand was still warm. The band shined softly in the light, signifying their eternal love and bond.

"Why are you awake so early?" Marie's voice asks, her voice was soft from sleep.

This startled Gabriel. How long has she been awake?

"I was just thinking." He says, his voice was also soft. He felt Marie pull back to look at him.

"Oh? Care to share your thoughts with your beloved wife?" One of her hands reaches up and cups his face. He sighs softly, covering that hand with his, pulling it to his lips to kiss her wrist.

"I was thinking of how much I love you, and how wonderful it feels to call you my wife." He answers softly. He saw her face flush slightly, but her smile was soft and dreamy. Like she couldn't believe this either. That was a wonderful thought to him.

"Quite early to be this sappy, my love." She chuckles. That loving name sent warmth throughout his body. He leans into her, and they nuzzle their noses together. Neither one quite had the energy for a kiss this early.

They both fell asleep, whispering promises of the future and love for each other. Right now, everything was perfect for Gabriel. For once, he was excited for the future, because he could build it with Marie.

I want to switch things up and write for something other than Shattered Innocence for a bit, what would you guys like to see?

A brief summary of each AU for the uninitiated:

Possession AU > Alucard is possessed by Dracula during the Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge timeline, bad things happen (mostly gameverse with Netflixvania elements).

The Belmonts Live AU > Trevor's family survives the church's attempts at eradicating them and leave Wallachia together in exile, this complicates things for Alucard and Sypha when Dracula decides to commit genocide (Netflixvania).

Familiar Lisa AU > Alucard arrives at his mother's pyre just in time to see her die, her soul somehow ends up inside of the floating sword (Netflixvania).

LoTS Isekai > Arikado Genya is yeeted into an alternate universe (Chapter 1 already out, gameverse and Netflixvania).

Memory Erasure AU > An unknown sorcerer wipes Alucard from the memory of everyone that has ever known him (A pretty even mix of gameverse and Netflixvania lore).

Resurrected Leon Belmont AU > Leon Belmont mysteriously awakens in a post-2036 world, shenanigans ensue (Gameverse and Netflixvania).

Ghostly Presence AU > Mathias Cronqvist is bound to Soma Cruz not as an extension of the younger man's soul, but as a ride-along ghost with no choice but to follow him around wherever he goes. The issue? Leon Belmont's ghost has suddenly appeared and won't stop following Alucard (Gameverse and Netflixvania).

Baby Adrian being in town (presumably with Lisa), hearing about the planned burnings, seeing the mob as it forms and just hot-footing it to the Belmont Estate when Lisa isn't looking is actually a really funny idea.

Poor Lisa, LMAO.

I like the thought of Vlad being out traveling during all of this, he can find out after the fact.

Trevor and Gabriel being out for Baby Trevor's first hunting mission? Fantastic thought OP.

Gabriel: "Marie, what the fuck?..."

Vlad: "Lisa, what the fuck?....."

Marie (Holding up Adrian like a house cat): "Isn't he adorable, Gabriel?"

Lisa: "Marie and I have decided to become friends, isn't that great?" :D

I’ve read all the fics where Trevor saves Lisa and now I need a reverse au.

Adrian hears of the plot to kill a family accused of witchcraft and his first thought is to save them, imagining his own family being hurt.

He runs over to their house, getting injured on the way. Adrian starts banging on the door until a blue eyed woman lets him in, he shouts at them to run, to get away from here before they’re all burned.

However, they hide in a magical basement instead, taking adrian with them.

Imagine the teen dhampir stuck in a basement filled with weapons and hunters realizing that he’s just saved his number 1 haters.

Bonus if Trevor and Gabriel are out of town for some reason and Trevor’s mom is so kind and protective she refuses to let him out alone when he’s still hurt.

Adrian is scared but she reminds him so much of his own mom he can’t say no. It’s only when the others are back do they try to fight him. Meanwhile Maria knew the whole time but wasn’t about to hurt a child.

Idk I just love the thought of young Adrian getting the love he deserves

People sleep on Marie Belmont as a character because she has little dialogue but she has an actual built personality and is more relevant to the story than Lisa is, even if the fandom loves Lisa and says Marie was fridged (they both were)

Maybe the comparison is unfair because she's a counterpart to both Lisa and Sara, but I think the fandom is unfair on how they treat her compared to her "main continuity" counterparts.

Also her pachislot design is MEGA CURSED and all the concept 2D art of her is MEGA BLESSED

It hated the woman. She lures its prince with childhood promises and puppy love. It knows she's lying to him. She's lied to him so many times already. It would never lie like she has, yet he chooses her. Always her. Always those lying visions that left him a mess. It always comforted its prince during his wails and screams of pain by these visions. If the woman had been alive, it would bring her corpse back to show its prince how loyal it was, and how much it cares for its prince.

It hated the wolf. The spawn of its prince and the woman. The one who forced the prince to kill him and turn him. The one who exploits the powers and emotions of its prince. The one who sealed its prince away with the wolf's spawn. It has seen how he has lied to his own spawn as he has lied to its prince. It comforts its prince when his eyes fade with memories of the white wolf that chose humanity over his father and sire.

It never would betray its prince. Never lie to him. It knows better than to exploit its prince. It loves him. It adores its prince. It would never cause him such anguish, such pain. It only wants to exist with its prince. It wants to keep humanity away from him. They had their opportunity to have its prince and they discarded him like a child discards a broken toy.

It brought him back from the brink. Gave him the loyalty he had been denied for so long. Gave him the love he deserves. The tenderness that only came forth with him. It would never break the delicate heart its prince had entrusted it with. Not like the woman had. Not like how the wolf had. Not like how the holy warriors had. With every soft touch. With every murmured word of adoration and love. With the oath of loyalty it swore to its prince. The bond between them could never be severed. Not by the lying wench. Not by the cheating mongrel. Not by the worthless, undeserving humans. It was the only one who had earned its prince's love, and that was how it would stay.
