Okay, okay, I know that a lot of people have already pointed out how beautiful this scene between Maria and Juste is, but for me the greatest complement to it is precisely in this scene, where the three of them are fighting side by side, being equals, being Belmonts.

Maria is someone who technically no longer has a family, considering that Tera is now a vampire and is even being controlled by greater forces, so this depressing gap in her life being filled with her being welcomed into the Belmont family is, in addition to being beautiful, very representative of her and the other characters.

Beyond that, the point is that the one who welcomes her into the family is Juste Belmont, someone who throughout his life was a total recluse from the rest of the clan, who consciously chose not to get involved with anything. He acts as a father figure that Maria never had and I believe that this is a redemption for Juste himself since, even though they don't make it very clear, he suffered a lot with the loss of Julia Belmont.

So I had a question I hope you don't mind me asking. I've only watched the first Castlevania S1 when it came out and I know nothing about the games. I was planning to start watching the series again when I saw someone say that Trevor is French and not Romanian. When I was watching the S1 I thought Alucard, the Belnades and Belmonts (+ Sypha and Trevor of course) were all Romanian. I tried to search for answers but people were giving mixed ones.

So I thought I would ask you. Are the Belmonts Romanian? Or it's Trevor? (And that also brought me another question, if they're then so is Ritcher, right?)

In S2 of Castlevania, Trevor mentions that his family was actually from France. See, his ancestor, "Leon Belmont", was French and moved to Wallachia, Romania to hunt Dracula (it's a long story)

So yes, Trevor has some frenchman blood in him but he's actually Romanian. I can't say much about Richter, as I've not watched Nocturne.

The Belnades are from Wallachia but from Sypha's accent, I would assume they have Spanish heritage.

Since Dracula (as said in the show) ran from France to Wallachia, it would make Adrian half French (dad's side) and half Romanian (mom's side). Assuming that Drac didn't have other blood heritages.
