Every day I’m reminded Captain Jean-Luc Picard has a lionfish named Livingston in his Ready Room and every day I get more confused on tbe logistics.

Why is he there? Who approved this? Do all Captains get a complimentary fish? Does he come with the ship or did Picard ask for it? I have so many questions and not enough time.

Slay The Princess Spoilers

Dear Slay The Princess Fandom,

May I raise you: The Song "The Ending You Deserve" by Livingston for The Long Quiet about the princess. (especially for a post-ending where he killed the princess)

Like just look at the lyrics and tell me this doesn't fit.

"Oh, I'll write a story 'bout love and regret" basically the game in a nutshell

"That says all the things I wish I would've said" So many things aren't directly said, the long quiet is quite the quiet guy, he is a passive player, always reacting, as the princess herself points out

"And you'll be the damsel, the one in distress" there is a damsel princess like come on, but she was also put into this situation against her will and doesn't want to be killed

"Who gives me a chance, cause I'm trying my best" long quiet was also put into this situation and tries to find out what is right, if he should follow the narrator or his inner voices or his own heart

"But dragons circle your tower

While I'm lookin' up from down below

Oh, I wish I knew how to shoot them down"

The long quiet is called a dragon by the princess and he is part of the threat against her, but the narrator also circles the princess in a way and he is also shown as a bird, the princess is multiple times taller then the long quiet, especially in the finale, and also there is a Tower princess

"And tearing out the pages and pages of all that we were

A vacant reminder of lines that we blurred, my love"

Many different princesses with different endings, the ideas of good end bad, right and wrong, violence and hate and love, etc get blurred a lot throughout the story, even the princesses blurr together and once were long quiet and the princess one

"Until I write the ending you deserve" replaying again and again, making different choices for different endings, trying to find ways that work better or worse, after all might long quite think that she deserves to be freed or to be slayed

I could go on, but just to point out a few lines. Can y'all see my vision here? It's such a pretty song and sung with emotions
