Alabama Neighborhoods: Top Neighborhoods in Foley, AL
What comes to your mind when you hear 'Alabama'? You may imagine a beautiful rolling country and hills, friendly people, close-knit families, friendly people, and close-knit families.
Located in Baldwin County, Foley is depicted as embracing such ideologies of natural living by the regional ambiance and what can be described as the cozy feel of a growing small town for those living in the City of Foley.
Foley has a great list of neighborhoods; each Alabama neighborhood is different and provides different opportunities and service facilities. These are among the most beloved neighborhoods in Foley; let's look at why these places are among the most sought-after in Alabama.
Foley's biggest strength is its ability to transition from a quintessential American town feel to a contemporary city. Lying only thirty-two miles inland from the Gulf Coast, Foley has a lush background and the opportunity to enjoy it. It has received much attention due to its local flavor, excellent education facilities, and beach proximity.
Whether you are young and starting a family, middle-aged and moving into retirement, or interested in a Foley vacation home, Foley can provide that lifestyle.
1. Cottages on the Greene
Alabama neighborhoods, this gated community oozes rural charm and can only be described as being like a picture postcard. It encompasses cute houses in Craftsman architecture with large front verandas and beautiful yards.
There are trendy leisure facilities such as a swimming pool, gym, clubhouse, comfortable parks, and secure, well-lit, serene, and safe neighborhoods for families. It is just as close to Foley's shops, restaurants, and entertainment for visitors looking for a relatively quiet place with all the mod cons.
2. Glenlakes
To the golf lover, Glenlakes is simply a golfers' paradise. This master-planned community has excellent views of the Glenlakes Golf Club, which has consistent greens and challenging fairways.
Glenlakes provides excellent single-family homes with a choice of models and beautiful Coast beaches and highway locations. This tourist destination offers a relaxed atmosphere and luxury, attracting retirees and families.
3. Greystone

Characterized by magnificent buildings and well-maintained estates, Greystone encompasses spacious tracts of spacious homes and perfectly maintained blocks with excellent relations among locals.
Sophisticated, graceful southern charm is blended with the convenience of new construction, updating with today's updated look.
4. Hidden Lakes
As the name suggests, this subdivision is characterized by seclusion and beautiful still-waters of artificial lakes. This neighborhood is for people who love the natural environment and wish to embrace communal living.
Many homes in Hidden Lakes are situated with fantastic water views; residents of Hidden Lakes get to enjoy such privileges as a swimming pool, clubhouse, as well as walking trails within the compound, and the locality of the community is strategically positioned within proximity to Foley's schools and shopping malls. Hidden Lakes is perfect for individuals who adore spending time outside and living a quiet life.
5. Cypress Gates
Cypress Gates is a relatively youthful neighborhood in Foley commonly characterized by new and beautiful families' homes. The neighborhood is under-equipped, comfortable within a successfully implemented style, and favored by young families.
Cypress Gates provides affordable homes with the latest architectural designs and a secured fence around the neighborhood, parks, schools, and downtown Foley. For those who are seeking a balance of contemporary and southern comfort, then it is perfect.
6. Bella Vista
It is a beautifully concealed community in Foley with relatively cheap and expensive houses. Once again, the area is relatively affordable and offers the best quality for consumers looking for desirable neighborhoods at reasonable prices.
It provides affordable homes with different designs and square footage, a convenient location for Foley's business centers and eateries, and a friendly atmosphere. Its literal and metaphoric location makes it possible for first-time homeowners and young families to consider it.
Other Noteworthy Areas in Foley
While such integrated neighborhoods can be identified, Foley's appeal is not limited to city areas. The southeast city has adequate infrastructure and considered the layout of the zones that contribute to proper urban design and hospitality.
Whether you build your home in the heart of urban development or on the city's outskirts, you'll not lack opportunities to embrace Foley's natural aspects, the camaraderie of the local people, and the simplicity of rural life. In this way, the range of residents can surprise every connoisseur of comfort and classic beauty, as Foley offers it to everyone.
1. Downtown Foley
Foley's focal point is its central business district, anchored by 1920s architecture but has the flair of a modern city. Take a leisurely walk down tree-shadowed blocks containing some of the finest turn-of-the-century buildings, which house fine individual shops, unique specialty stores, and many family-owned enterprises.
Experience authentic southern food by visiting some of the local restaurants people in the area love, or catch one of the many cultural and social events that enliven the region, like art walks, live music sessions, or the farmer's markets. Foley's downtown is a vibrant but not hectic setting that surrounds its residents with culture, convenience, and community.
2. Rural Foley
The countryside of Foley: For those who want to find a quiet place without any intrusion of neighbors and noisy entourage, there can not be a better place than the countryside. These picturesque areas have large plots of land, picturesque old farms, and a tranquil atmosphere about getting as far away from the noise of city life as possible.
This is a perfect place for riding lovers to build stables or for those people who dream of the country homestead life and self-sufficiency. Families can roam wildly and rejuvenate themselves within the vicinity of the natural environment while residing in the houses.
However, they can still quickly compensate for the relative isolation by reaching out for services in town. You may like open land spaces, that rural and relaxed lifestyle, or even seek an opportunity to build your dream home or farm in Foley.
What Makes Foley Unique?
Cohesion also makes Foley unique to other restaurants because it aims to accommodate every lifestyle. Foley is thick with the life and liveliness of a community area or as silent and calm as a rural countryside.
Arising attractions in the city of OWA are The Park at OWA, a perfect park for a family and fun, Graham Creek Nature Preserve for the lovers of the outside world, and the Tanger Outlets for every shopper's dream.
Foley's Real Estate Market
Fortunately for Foley, the real estate market is almost as diverse as the neighborhoods.
For the first-time home buyer, there are good-sized single-family homes ideal for children, small, moderately priced homes up to large estates for the affluent, townhouses, condominiums for older people or those who do not want to maintain a large property, and vacation homes to make Foley an ideal second-home or investment-home market.

REVERSE TROPE WRITING PROMPT BY @out-of-jams
ACCIDENTALLY KIDNAPPING A MAFIA BOSS
In Tucker's defense, he thought he was doing someone a favor. A life saving favor, in fact.
"What the fuck-!” The red helmeted guy yelped as a deceptively strong Tucker yanked him onto the bike and sped away. Before Tucker could explain, the GIW agents behind them got in a lucky shot and hit the helmeted liminal with a strong blast to the head.
Clearly, his gear wasn’t equipped with anti-ecto protections, because the guy slumped over on Tucker’s arms. This was bad, because Tucker now had to maneuver about 230 pounds of Gotham muscle while speeding away from government agents. He flicked on the jammer so they couldn’t track his and red helmets’s ecto signature.
“STOP!”
“Ah, shit.” Tucker cursed as he somehow managed to gather up red-helmet’s body and stabilize the bike. “C’mon, Tuck, you can do this.”
Blasts of anti-ecto tech slammed into buildings around him. Luckily, Gotham was used to this kind of shit so people just moved out of the way before going back to their day. Tucker wove around traffic, trying to lure the agents into slamming face first into some signposts.
“Stop damaging the local infrastructure!” Tucker yelled back at them, speeding up.
“WELL REIMBURSE THE PEOPLE AND THE CITY LATER! TELL US WHERE PHANTOM IS!!”
“Over my dead body, you jerks!” Tucker took a sharp right, catching red helmet before the man could slip off. He sped up and took the ramp downwards, heart beating loudly in his ears as he strained his senses to figure out- ah, they took the ramp upwards. Good. Now, all he has to do is bring red helmet back to home base.
“Oh my god. I kidnapped him,” Tucker groaned, slapping at his face before quickly placing his hands back on the handle bar once the bike teetered over with red helmet’s weight. “I’m a criminal. Oh my god.”
Then, as he found his way back, “…Well, it’s not like I wasn’t a criminal before, with the whole resisting arrest thing.”
——
Tucker dumped the red helmet liminal onto the couch of their shared apartment and went to take a shower. When he got out ten minutes later, he found Danny and Sam staring at the helmet guy. Tucker pushed up his glasses (after letting them defog from the shower) and greeted them.
“Hey, guys! I found him while I was running away from Agent L and J.”
“You okay?” Danny asked, eyes immediately flicking over Tucker for injuries.
“Yeah, I’m good. They’re horrible shots.”
“I thought Danny was the one who brought home strays but you…?” Sam commented, arms crossed and a purple painted nail tapping at her arm. “Wait. Isn’t this… that crime lord? What was his name?”
“Red Hood?” Danny offered, turning back to look at the guy on their couch.
Tucker paled. “Oh, no.”
Guns? Check.
Red Helmet? Check.
Bat-Symbol? Check.
Shit.
They collectively stared at the guy in silence.
“…Tucker,” Sam slowly said. “Did you accidentally kidnap a crime lord?”
“Hey, I didn’t want him to get killed! He’s liminal! Even more than us, except for Danny.” Tucker grumbled. “Man, this is why I leave the hero-ing to Danny. I do one good thing and suddenly I have a crime lord on my couch.”
“My couch,” Sam corrected, as she was the one that furnished their apartment.
“What do we do now?”
“Eat dinner,” Tucker said. “I’m famished.”
Sam nodded. “Wait for him to wake up and hope he doesn’t shoot us the moment he wakes up. Then, we explain.”
Danny grabbed all the visible guns he could see. Tucker went to start dinner. Sam supervised, because her boys were idiots and now she had a crime lord in her apartment.
——
Jason groaned, head swimming in a sea of dull throbbing pain as his eyes fluttered open.
Then he remembered he was abducted, and bolted up right. He paused as a series of quick observations made its way to his consciousness.
One. He’s not tied up. Weird, because everyone knows that he’s a weapon even without his weapons.
Two. His weapons were right there, just in reach.
Three. He was surrounded by teenagers and/or young adults who were all scrolling along on their phones.
“Oh, hey, he’s awake! Hi!” The Wayne bait said, electric blue eyes fixing itself on Jason. “Were you aware you died?”
Jason went rigid, hundreds of way to-
“Danny!” A scolding tone cut of Jason’s immediate panic. Two couch pillows slammed into Danny’s face, courtesy of goth girl and nerdy but strong.
“Dude, why do you start with that? Why are you like this?” His… possible kidnapper? asked, exasperatedly flinging his hands into the air as he rolled his eyes.
Goth girl scowled. “Boys. Crime lord, couch, remember?”
“Hey, in my defense, I died too!”
And that- as Jason remained dumbfounded in this circle of tomfoolery- was what snapped Jason out of his daze.
“You what?” He rasped out.
And when he saw them open their mouths at the same time, Jason just knew his headache was going worse.
——
Tucker, effortlessly plucking the actual red hood from the streets: and I whoop-
Jason, whose type is strong, nerdy, and tall: *heart eyes* *but not really because he’s unconscious*
——
Sam: “this is my boyfriend Danny and our other boyfriend Tucker.”
Jason enters chat:
Sam: “this is my boyfriend Danny and our other boyfriend Tucker and his boyfriend, the Red Hood.”

Tucker gets Recognized
So! This is using the Egyptian version of Hawkman and Hawkgirls past, cause that's the only way this works
The basic idea is Hawkman and Hawkgirl used to live in Egypt in high positions of Power. Hawkman used to be the Prince, and Hawkgirl used to be the High Priestess. They died one day and became cursed to forever reincarnate.
Ok, onto the prompt.
So, Hawkman is one day flying over the Midwest USA while lost in thought. He gets hungry and decides to set down in a small-ish town called Amity Park.
He goes to a nearby Burger Restaurant, and while he is waiting for his food he sees someone else pick up their food and walk out the door.
And one thought passes through his mind.
"Is that my fvcking Dad?!"
Yeah, Duulaman was Hawkman's Dad in his first life. He just never knew that his Dad was also a Reincarnator (he had the power before even his son, he just never told him).
Tucker, who has Duulamans powers but not his memories (by choice), has no idea why this Guy with Wings keeps following him around.
Wait, did that guy just call him Duulaman?! Oh Hell No!
#Dpxdc#Dp x dc#Dcxdp#Dc x dp#Danny Phantom#Dc#Dcu#Hawkman#Tucker Foley#Duulaman#Tucker is a Reincarnation#Duulaman was Hawkmans Dad#Idk if I got the backstory entirely right#I mostly based it off the CW version cause that's the one I remembered#Hawkman did not know his Dad was also Reincarnating#(Duulaman has been Reincarnation longer than his son by a large margin)#(Duulaman was just one of Ra's many lives)

A Panic in Time (DP x DC)
This is all thanks to the awesome @tkiesai for basically being the foundation of this idea! This is probably going to be long, and probably won't delve that deep into my ideas about this idea. Largely so it's not insanely long. But here I go!
°•°•°•°
Bruce's head felt like it had been shoved through a straw and spit out on the other side. The throbbing was annoying, but it wasn't anything the man couldn't handle.
His mind was muddled, memories of what happened prior to him awaking was blurry and unsure. Bruce knew it wasn't something good.
He vaguely remembered a league meeting, a threat, something looming. It wasn't world ending, or at least that's what Bruce remembered. It should have been something they could handle.
But now, here was Bruce. Waking up in the grass of some random park. He was dressed in casual attire, something he'd wear in public as Bruce. Although last he remembered he was in the Batsuit.
The sun felt too bright in the sky. The sound of families filled the air and children's laughter. No one seemed to blink twice at Bruce as he pulled himself together.
It took a moment to steel himself, to gain composer again. It took a few sweet lines, and a charming smile for a nice mother to slide him a few painkillers. The lies rolling off his tongue like second nature.
To his luck there was a newspaper at the top of the trashcan. He was in some town called Amity Park, and the year... the year was the problem.
It was 1996. Whatever had happened had sent Bruce back in time. There was a few suspects Bruce can think were the cause of this. But something in his gut kept drawing his train of thought to the Flash.
It seemed like each time the League had any time related problems, Barry was in the center of it. Which also leaves Bruce with the question if he was the only one sent back in time.
God, he could only imagine the nightmare if the others were sent back in time. Yes, they can be professional. They understand the risk of changing things in the past.
But Bruce also understands that his team can be less than... intelligent at times.
Despite that, Bruce needed to find a way to get back to Gotham. He might not know for sure where everyone was right now, but he knew Alfred was the safest bet.
A plan laid out in Bruce's mind, a list of people he knew wouldn't be a risk to approach. He just needed to find a way to get to them. He had barely made it to the gates of the park before a shrill cry pierced the air.
There was just one loud outcry, before it quieted down. Bruce glance around the space, spotting a young boy curled on the ground. Tears streamed down the boy's chubby cheeks.
And no one even moved to the boy's aid. Not a single mother spared more than one glance in the kid's directions. No parents came rushing over to the boy's side.
Bruce almost walked away, he really did. This wasn't his time, anything he does can cause immense damage to the timeline. But when Bruce caught sight of blood bubbling from a scrape on the boy's knee, Bruce couldn't ignore him.
Maybe it's just the father in him, but Bruce barely even notices when he's crossing the small distance. His mind zeroing in on a hurt child that needed help. Kneeling before the small boy with a gentle smile, and pulling his handkerchief free from his pocket.
"You're alright there, buddy. It looks like you took a bit of a tumble there." Bruce slipped into the same tone he used to use when his kids were young. Gentle and understanding, as he pressed the handkerchief to the small scrape.
The boy sniffled, tears slipping from his eyes. Bruce was more focused on the way the kid was looking at him. Like he couldn't fathom someone coming to his aid.
That look had Bruce's heart breaking slightly. He's seen a similar look before. The few times he's come to the aid of a hurt child that wasn't used to getting help.
Something no child should ever feel or experience.
"Where's your parents, kiddo?" Bruce asked after a moment of silence from the boy. He had waited until the kid's breathing settled down when the boy's chest stopped pumping so quickly.
Except his question only seemed to bring a new wave of tears to the boy's eyes. The small child just seemed to curl into himself further, ducking his gaze away from Bruce.
And as much as Bruce didn't want it to be true, it was clear the kid didn't have the support he needed. It might not as be as far as some of Bruce's kids have had in the past.
But it was clearly not good.
"That's okay, it's alright. What's your name?" Bruce tried again. The boy's silence was leaving an uncomfortable pit in Bruce's stomach.
"D-Danny..." The boy spoke out his name between sniffles, and Bruce felt a wave of relief hearing the boy speak.
In hindsight, Bruce can see how strange the scene might look. A slightly disheveled man comforting a lone young boy in a park. It wasn't exactly perfect.
But with the lack of reactions from the parents around, Bruce had a feeling the town had an idea who this boy was. The whole situation just didn't feel that right for him.
It took a few more comments before Bruce managed to get the boy to crack a smile. A laugh had felt like breaking a massive wall.
Before long, Bruce had Danny actually like any other boy he's known. Carefree and happy, just like a child should be.
"You didn't tell me your name, mister." Danny had suddenly cut down the relaxed moment they were in. A pout laced the boy's lips as he looked up at Bruce, almost accusatory.
"I'm Bruce. Bruce Wayne." Bruce responded without missing a beat. He knew this might cause problems in the future. He wasn't supposed to be here.
But when his gut is telling him something, he can't just ignore it. He checked his pockets, finding no business cards anywhere. So, Bruce fell back in plan B.
"No matter how long it's been from now, you can come to me for help. Just look for Bruce Wayne in Gotham City, and when you find me... just say Fairbanks sent you."
Bruce wasn't sure if he'll ever see Danny again when he goes back to his own time. Wasn't even sure if this was the same universe as his own. But he couldn't walk away without at least offering the boy help in some way.
When Danny's eyes filled up with tears again, Bruce thought he said something wrong at first. That was until the boy was suddenly clinging to his shoulders in a tight embrace, muttering 'thank you' over and over again.
Bruce felt himself almost close to tears just from that alone. His heart was aching for the small boy. Even if Bruce couldn't help Danny anymore than this, he was hoping the boy would have a better life.
One where he wasn't clinging to a stranger for comfort that family should be providing him.
THWAMP
It didn't hurt, but it did cut their hug short as Bruce suddenly pulled away. Turning his head to see a young girl wielding a wiffle bat, and another young boy standing behind her.
Her purple eyes glared at Bruce like he had done the worst thing in the world. Her grip on the bat was threatening and ready to swing again. Her knuckles white from the tight grip alone.
Maybe leaving this time era might not be as easy as Bruce thought as the young girl probbed him with angry and scolding questions. Not that Bruce could blame her.
He just hoped this hiccup didn't get back to the league. They'd have a field day hearing about how Batman got scolded by a child with a wiffle bat.
°•°•°•°•°•°
Danny wasn't sure if this was the best idea. It's been years since he met Bruce Wayne. So many years. Danny had just been a kid, not even ten, when Bruce had introduced himself.
When he had an adult, actually check in on him. Yet, it was a memory Danny couldn't forget. Maybe it was just the kindness that Bruce radiated.
Or maybe it was when Sam came to his "rescue" near the end. Regardless, it was cemented in his mind. A core memory that Danny cared with him through the years.
Now, here he was, roughly seven years later. Standing in front of a manor that put even Sam's place to shame.
It took a lot of courage for Danny to knock. Barely a second later, an old man answered the door, an accent Danny was certain Bruce hadn't had.
A stuttered explaination of being here to see Bruce Wayne, that the man knew him, barely left Danny's mouth before the old man ushered him inside.
The man, Alfred, told Danny to wait by the door before vanishing further into the manor. It took a lot for Danny to not just vanish.
Being half ghost nowadays had its quirks, Danny could just vanish, and no one but Alfred would know. But he couldn't.
It had taken a lot for Danny to make the journey to Gotham City. He hadn't even thought to look up a current picture of Bruce either. Which was probably a big mistake on his end.
Danny didn't even know if Bruce was offering this kind of help. But Danny didn't have many allies to turn to. He needed help.
Not just for himself but for his family. For Amity Park. He couldn't be afforded the ability to run away. Not now.
Danny felt all the air leave his lungs when Bruce entered the area. The man didn't look a day older than what Danny remembered. Bruce looked a bit more put together, not like he had just jumped out of a moving car, but it was Bruce.
"Uhm... I don't know if you remember me. But my name's Danny... we met when I was a kid." Danny started trying to explain himself before Bruce could speak. He recognized that confused look anywhere, and Danny didn't have the guts to go through with this if Bruce asked any questions.
"You told me if I ever needed help, to come find you. Bruce Wayne in Gotham City... you, uh, told me to tell you Fairbanks sent me?"
That came out more like a question than Danny would have liked. But it did ease his nerves a bit as he watched Bruce's slightly confused expression turn to alarm and surprise.
Danny wasn't sure what this would do. If Bruce could truly help him. But he was out of options. Just seeing Bruce recognize something he said was enough to calm the teen's anxiety slightly.
"I'm sorry, Danny... I don't remember you. But I believe you and I want to help you. Come inside, have a seat, and tell me what's going on."
That response was enough to have Danny's eyes fill with tears. His chest filling with a sense of hope he hadn't felt in weeks now.
Maybe, just maybe, everything would be okay.

I know I focus a lot on Danny's complicated relationship with his parents, but there's really not enough on how messy his relationship with his friends can be.
Because in some ways, they are the best friends. They're amazing. There is no amount of crazy, no amount of terrifying, no amount of danger that can make them abandon him. They are ride or die to the end.
But they are also such teenagers.
And that's fine! They're allowed to be! It doesn't make them bad people or even bad friends. But God, these two are Danny's only support system, and emotionally speaking, they can be... kind of unreliable.
Because both of them? Are constantly trampling on Danny's feelings. Which Danny has a lot of, all the time, because his life is awful, and Sam and Tucker... don't really seem to respect that. (Again, perfectly understandable! They're teenagers and they've become used to this as their new normal.)
Every time Danny breaks down from the stress (WHICH HAPPENS A LOT) Sam and Tucker bitch about it, and his behavior, and how rude he's being. Whenever he's in a bad mood, he's a buzzkill, he's belligerent. When he's doing something just for himself, he's abandoning them, he's irresponsible. A lot of times, during intensely traumatic events, they openly blame him for what's happening.
(In fact, Sam and Tucker are a big part of why I hold 'struggles to assert himself' as a cornerstone of Danny's character.)
And they're kids, it's not their job to be Danny's therapists or his emotional sponge, and they should absolutely not be his sole source of support... but it's also so, so bad for him. Have I mentioned that Danny's life is a nightmare of abuse conditioning? Because it is.
And this is of course not the only or even the most important aspect of their friendship! But it's such a recurring theme (both with them and in Danny's life in general) that I'd love to address it at some point.
#i read a fic one time where sam and tucker were just so SICK of danny's recurring breakdowns about possible identity exposures#where they were so good and responsive about it but also so openly annoyed and dismissive#and that whole sequence lives rent-free in my mind#that contrast of them being so responsive to even the possibility of him being in danger#while also making no attempt whatsoever to soothe or comfort him#it was so GOOD and also AWFUL#danny fenton#sam manson#tucker foley#danny phantom

Fictober23 Prompt: 1 - "It's not too late, let's go."
Fandom: DPxDC
Rating: G
Warnings: -
Danny frowned, his head resting on his arms as he sat in a café, staring at nothing in particular. Tucker was sitting next to him, typing away on his PDA and Sam was across from him glaring at his current state of dramatic pouting, frowning and sulking while ignoring his favorite coffee order she had especially ordered for him somehow even though the store did not even have it on their menu.
"Danny, how much longer are you going to sulk?"
"I don't know. How much longer until my next chance of ever meeting someone from outer space?"
"Danny."
"We missed the Hero Gala, Sam! That was our one and only chance!"
He looked away from her like a stubborn toddler. He knew he was being especially dramatic but his friends and him had planned this whole trip solely for meeting members of the Justice League in person. For one, to maybe meet the people that have been ignoring their cities' call for help for years now and request it personally if per call won't work and two, fulfill some of their own personal selfish desires to meet the hero's each one of them admired.
Though their trip clearly had been eventful considering how a lot of his ghost rogues tried to stop him from even leaving Amity Park, they also learned about the whole media black out surrounding Amity. Turns out, the reason the Justice League was ignoring them was entirely because they didn't even know they existed in the first place. It was a miracle that they even learned about a Hero Gala in Metropolis if it weren't for an invitation somehow making it to the Mansons Estate.
Fun fact. Even if the invitation made it to them. Once they did make it to the Gala location they learned that it had happened years ago. Well wasn't that just great, and here Danny had hoped to get some help and maybe meet Superman or better Martian Manhunter.
Slamming his head onto the table and gaining the attention of some other cafe visitors briefly. Danny only turned ever so slightly so that his cheek was squished against the cold table surface. Still refusing to look at Sam but instead watched Tucker who was by now frowning at his PDA.
"Guys, I think there is more to it than us being simple late a couple of years to a Gala." Blinking made a noise to ask him to elaborate while Sam verbally asked why.
"Things didn't add up when we first left Amity, aside from all your ghost rouges were even trying to make us stop leaving until the very last second. Look at this, this is a photocopy of our last news paper from home and this-" Tucker slit a paper across the table and pointed at a specific spot at the top of the paper so both Danny and Sam could see it clearly. "-is a news paper printed today from Metropolis."
"I don't get it." Danny honestly stated staring at the spot Tucker had pointed it. Sam proceeded to hit the back of his head lightly, apparently having seen what Tucker was pointing out to them.
"The dates are way too far apart." She stated and Danny blinked, looking back at the printed date and the date displayed in the image of Tuckers PDA. "Are you sure you didn't save up an older newspaper?"
Tucker gave him an unimpressed stare. "Look at the headline. That's the incident that happened right before we went on this trip."
"Okay but what does that mean?"
"From what it looks like. Amity Park lives in a time bubble. Our technology as well as date seems far behind from everything we saw ever since we left. Even my beloved PDA appears to be old technology here."
The tree sat in silence for a moment, mulling over what they had found out so far after leaving Amity for the first time. But now that they thought about that, Amity was a closed community. There were hardly any people coming in and out of their town. In addition the only one who had ever entered their city from the outside was Vlad and even he didn't talk much about any other cities or people he could possibly know outside of Amity.
"That's a pretty interesting topic you guys are talking about."
Startled, the three looked up to see a new face that had appeared out of nowhere and was spitting next to Sam. The boy with auburn hair and yellow eyes who looked only a bit older than them and was smiling brightly at them with a back of chips in his hands.
"So you guys lived in a time bubble? That sounds interesting, can you tell me more?"
A second later two black haired teens appeared next to the boy, one sheepish and in a punk style and the other frustrated and appearing to wear more formal clothing. The frustrated one eyed them for a moment and Danny caught his eyes, noticing the calculating look and couldn't help narrowing his own eyes on him.
"Sorry about my friend, he sometimes acts before he thinks."
"I have a friend like that too, don't worry." Tucker answered and Danny shot him a quick glare before turning his attention back to the three newcomers.
"We couldn't help but overhear what you guys were talking about. You missed your chance to go to a hero gala right?" The sheepish one said after exchanging a look with the other black haired teen and Danny couldn't help but feel like there was some silent communication going on. The same he had at times with Tucker.
"So what?" Sam huffed, not willing to talk about their woes and sharing information with strangers.
"We happened to be on our way to one that's not open to the public but we could help you get in. Granted, I would like to hear a little more about your situation and how you missed the one you originally wanted to go to." In other words, give us information and we will get you to somewhere where you can meet hero's. Danny narrowed his eyes further, there had to be more to this catch.
His distrust must have been visible as the formal clothing black haired teen let out a sigh. "Look we have experience with time shenanigans, so we might be able to get you into contact with people that can help, from Young Justice or maybe even the Justice League."
"No one just offers help like that, without getting something out of it." Sam huffed arms crossed and glaring at them. Tucker also eyed them with suspicion and Danny had yet to let up on his distrustful glare.
"Well we do. So common, the private gala is still going. We only escaped from it for a little bit to get this guy some coffee. It's not too late, let's go! We can figure out the whole time bubble thing on the way there!" The brightly smiling auburn haired answered instead bouncing in his seat next to Sam. Eager to have Danny and his friends come along.
Only way later did Danny learn that the three teens that snuck them into a privat Hero Gala were actual members of Young Justice but that was only after they figured out the whole Amity lives in a Time Bubble situation.

Gimme gimme gimme a man after Midnight-er (dp x dc)
Apollo is sitting in the living room with two teenagers, as he is struggling like never before not to fidget too much. Neither of the teens seem to have a problem but he needs to say something before the silence completely suffocates him.
"I punched the devil once," Apollo says. It's not his best, but he figures it’s a nice icebreaker, the kind of thing that invites questions and get communication going.
The goth girl raises an eyebrow.
"Cool," she says, in the most half-hearted tone Apollo has heard in his life.
This is excruciating.
"Have you... ever punched the devil?" Apollo continues on valiantly, trying to keep the conversation going.
"I got a 20-meter-sphinx to roll over once," the beret-ed boy speaks up without looking up from his phone?
"That sounds like fun?" Apollo tries.
"Sure," the girl says and then shuts right back up right after. Silence falls again, and Apollo is about ready to crawl out of his skin.
He jumps to his feet.
"I’ve, uh, got to check if Midnighter needs any help with the food."
The boy hums distractedly, not looking while the girl just stares at him.
Apollo can not get out of there fast enough.
"Don’t leave me alone in there," Apollo hisses to his lover as soon as he’s within hearing range and Midnighter turns towards him with a smirk.
"Scared of a few kids?" he asks teasingly. Apollo doesn't deign dignify that with an answer.
"When are they leaving, again?" Apollo sighs as he leans against the counter.
"Tomorrow morning at the latest," Midnighter says as he turns back to the plate and utensils. "You know we owe Extraño the hugest favour for that whole 'rescuing you from hell' thing."
"I know, it’s just… Teenagers," Apollo finishes lamely.
"Don’t worry honey, I’m almost finished with the food. You won’t have to face the big, bad, half-grown children all alone anymore."
Apollo knows his lover is teasing but it is genuinely relieving to hear. Aliens, criminals, even demons, he can deal with.
But teenagers? That’s a whole other beast.

I've been thinking about Pharaoh Tucker/Duulaman and I really wish it was longer than a single episode. Like, that is such a brilliant story line? Finding out you were a powerful sorcerer in your last life should be the start of a trilogy, not a one-off gimmick.
Imagine this:
You are a king. You are a god. You are a sorcerer.
You will kill yourself to protect your home.
You know it's going to happen. You have always been willing to tear yourself to pieces to protect your people, and you long ago lost the arrogance that made you think being Pharaoh was a reward rather than responsibility. You look forward to it, almost.
But you don't die fighting, no, you perish with a traitor's blade in your back and the chains of a curse wrapped round your soul. And you hate.
And then, thousands of years later, when the people and the land you fought to preserve, earning your title as the greatest sorcerer in the world, are gone, you are born again.
And the two are nothing alike, except in all the ways you're exactly the same. But you are a new person, with no memories of your past, and you live and thrive without the weight of the throne on your back.
Just like you were once an innovator of magic, now you create new tech that touches the afterlife in ways never seen before. Just like you were once a protector, now you fight to protect your new home, this time with friends by your side.
And you are happy. Happier even. It's not an easy, perfect life but you are free from the responsibilities that dictated your last with people you trust. You love it.
And then, well...
You should have known you couldn't touch the infinite afterlife without consequences.
It starts in your dreams. You remember the sands under your feet, the magic in your hands, the sun in your face. In mirrors you see a face that is yours but older, more worn in ways you don't recognize. In battle you find yourself reaching for a bow rather than a gun, and your code is written in a language none but you now speak.
And you can maybe deal with it, maybe. It's not easy, reconciling two lives that were lived so differently, but if your friend can reconcile death and life then surely you can do the same.
But then. The traitor. Comes. Back.
You are easy to manipulate now, is the thing. The lack of a crown may have been good for your social development, but it didn't lead to the same paranoia and sense of responsibility that protected you in your last life. He turns you against your friends, but they help you fight him back anyway, yet how can you trust yourself now? Your last life was terrible, he was cruel and selfish, the traitor said so, and the one moment the person that is not you but is almost you came to the surface he hurt your family.
You don't touch magic, even when you find yourself reaching for it. You drop the bow and pick up a gun that never feels quite right in your hands. You don't let yourself reach for the eyeliner that reminds you of kohl, even though you miss how sharp it made your eyes look.
Because you won't hurt them again. You won't.
But maybe someday things can be better. Maybe someday you'll back up your friends with summoned sandstorms and clever illusions and no one will ever be able to hack your tech because of the magic woven into the wires.
Maybe someday you will step into the sands of your home, preserved in the infinite green of the afterlife, and you will learn yourself again. Maybe you'll meet old friends and loved ones, and maybe things will be different now that you are a child in need of guidance rather than a leader they depend on.
Maybe.
But a character arc like that would certainly take more than a single episode.

little headcanons that just appeared and will not leave (also i have not finished danny phantom yet so somethings might be funky)
> As danny got older he had white hair start growing mostly at the nape of his neck
>His scars from the electrocution were only visible in ghost form, after he accepted the fact he is partially dead
>Sam def went into forestry in college and now runs campaigns and charities for environmental conservation
>Tucker went to go work at high tech companies as either IT or sonething similar, he is only there for the technology
>Jazz went into psychology and helped danny get a good therapist (we cannot ignore that danny def needs therapy)
>Sam, Tucker, and Danny all still facetime and call all the time even though they all went tk different colleges and places
>Danny stayed in Amity to monitor the portal and ghosts and is doing online classes and hope to set up something Amity with mechanical engineering or just engineering in general
>Dash and Danny ended up making up senior year after dash apologized in junior year and proved that he has changed
>It was hard for Danny to trust Dash again, but he learned to forgive although they are not that close
>Dash had a crush on Phantom and whenever Phanton was revealed to be Danny, Dash had a full bi-sexual crisis and that helped sparked hsi redemption arc
>Danny is transmasc because im transmasc and im projecting
>Tucker is bi like everyone in Amity in my head
>Sam is pan and doesnt care
>Sam/Danny/Tucker is end game and I will die for this ship (although i am a multishipper so i also <33 other ships like danny/ REDEEMED dash (only redeemed dash not when he still a bully thats icky))

Corpse au case fic where the trio decided to try cracking a murder mystery, except instead of angst it's a comedy of errors where they make everything worse.
Like. Danny comes out of a portal dead and translucent and glowing, and there's charred remains of a human body on the floor. So now all three of them are freaking out, and instead of asking for help, or finding an adult, or telling literally ANYONE, they decide to just. Get rid of the body. As one does.
So that's what they do: they break out Tucker's nice shovels (because god forbid Sam's family owned something as pheasant as a shovel, and Danny's too afraid of touching their family's Patented Fenton ShovelsTM for... reasons), they find a nice desolate clearing in the woods, and then they bury Danny's body like one would a very unfortunate hamster who met their demise too soon under very suspicious circumstances. They even stay at the new "grave" in silence for a minute or five in respect and DEFINITELY nothing else, you know. And so, they bury the body, and then they (try to) forget the experience as some horrific nightmare.
And then, a year later, there's an uproar: the Amity Park's police department found the child's remains in the woods! And you see, Amity Park is not THAT big of a town, and the police estimated that the body belonged to a 14-15 year old child, and, look, there's only so many schools in a small town, alright. Obviously, the rumours start very soon in Casper High: about how the kid could've gone to their school, about how they could've died, about whether or not anybody was missing them, about their identity, and some definitely-truthworthy-would-I-lie-to-you-bro-come-on sources insist that the kid was murdered around a year ago, around the time ghosts started showing up. And these rumours obviously reach the ears of Sam, Danny and Tucker.
Now, you would've thought that their first thought would be something like "oh no, they found Danny's body", or "oh no, they know", or even simply "we're sooo fucked". Except. You see, the night they buried the body? It was really cloudy. And dark. And, y'know, it's very easy to get lost in a forest. And they were too high-strung, you see, they completely forgot to leave some sort of a marker or anything. And also like, it was so long ago, you know? A lot have happened, they were sooo busy and the likes, you can't really blame them for forgetting some things.
And here's lies the problem: all three of them just fucking forgot that there was a body left to bury at all.
And then it gets out that the police can't even conduct any sort of DNA test because it became corrupted to the point of being absolutely unrecognisable due to exposure to a large amount of ecto-energy.
It's now looks like a bad set up for a joke: an identifiable body of a child, cause of death unknown; the probable involvement of ghosts or at the very least a very large quantity of ecto-energy; a probable murderer on the loose, which naturally breeds suspicion and speculation; a town full of all kinds of rumours; and a trio of absolute dumbasses, who after hearing that ghosts were involved immediately went to stick their noses where they don't belong.
Rejoice, Amity Park! Sam, Danny and Tucker are now on the case! Except they are all teenagers, and nobody in their right mind will allow teenagers to solve a murder case. Plus, them poking around would be highly suspicious, but Phantom, on the other hand?
(people seeing Phantom helping solve this case and coming to the conclusion that the ghosts were definitely involved was not on their bingo card, but oh well)
They don't go to the cops, obviously: Danny at least in part because he's worried they will call GIW on his ass or try to arrest him, and Sam and Tucker simply because fuck the cops (one because the police is involved in a militaristic, capitalistic corrupted system that breeds injustice and furthers the divide between average people and the wealthy, and the other because cops suck and will probably call GIW on his friend's ass). They also can't go to any other authorities: cops are out of the question, as is the mayor; laboratory personnel will most likely just throw them out; and there're no witnesses or known relatives, so they're stuck.
Therefore they decide that desperate times need desperate measures, and so they enlist all of their ghost allies on a quest, hoping to find the ghost of the kid. Considering the amount of ecto-energy they were subjected to, they MUST have formed a ghost, they only need to find them.
Except. The Ghost Zone is a big place, and they only have so many allies, even if some of them are a queen and a god. So Danny bites the bullet and does the most stupid (debatable) thing he has ever done: he goes to his enemies for help. They're surprisingly understanding and willing to help, even if some of their reasons are a little... strange (Skulker and Johnny entered some sort of competition on who finds the ghost first, Box Ghost starts to seek out coffins (??) and Youngblood is not above to start torturing people to finally have a friend that is not either an adult or a complete stick in the mud). And even then they still can't find the ghost.
In the end Danny goes to Clockwork in a desperate hope that he will be able to glimpse at least a little of what had transpired on the night of the murder, and to Danny's annoyance Clockwork laughs so hard he almost pops a ghost equivalent of a blood vessel.
A few weeks down the line Sam hesitantly brings up Danny's buried corpse ("MY WHAT" "Your corpse which we buried in the woods, Danny, don't you remember?" "Yeah, bro, I think you dissociated the whole time we were digging the hole and carrying your dead body" "WE DID WHAT-"), reasonably saying that, you know, they ALSO technically buried a body in the woods. On that Tucker just shrugs because obviously it was not Danny's body, the place of the burial was way off, he remembers that there was a really big stone to the left of the grave (he doesn't and there wasn't), so they are in the clear. During that exchange Danny's sitting on the floor and having a panic attack, because he really did dissociate the whole time and afterwards legitimately forgot that there was a body to bury at all.
After that conversation all three of them leave with a certainty that Danny's body is still there where they left it, whenever it was. And so the shenanigans continue.
#yes i know that is custom made for some delicious angst and identity shenanigans#but also consider: this scenario would be very funny#three teenagers running around a crime scene trying to solve a murder case#and not realising they ARE said murder case#idk whether or not there would be an identity reveal down the line but if there would be one#i like to imagine vlad just sitting in his office alone afterwards head in hands#wondering WHAT he did to deserve this stupidity that went for MONTHS#like sir you did it to yourself when you decided to make a 14 years old your arch-nemesis#jazz is both horrified ('IT WAS YOUR WHAT') and exasperated ('what do you MEAN you forgot')#she's out there secretly hoping this sort of stupidity is not hereditary (in her case it kinda is lmao)#his parents are simply horrified (tho jack a few months down the line finds the whole ordeal rather funny)#the ghosts all forget about this shitshow rather quickly#except for ember youngblood kitty and johnny. they will NEVER let danny live it down. NEVER.#also danny waking up at 3am in cold sweat and remembering cw laughing his ass off: THIS MF KNEW ALL ALONG-#danny phantom#sam manson#danny fenton#tucker foley
