secretly headcannoning that in the beginning lisanna and lucy secretly disliked and envied eachother because of natsu. lisanna was upset about how, to her, it seemed like lucy had replaced her in every way. happy see’s her as a mother even though lisanna helped raise him, natsu is her best friend and spends every second with her and is secretly in love with her, and the three of them go on jobs just like the three of them used to do. she hated that because natsu now had lucy in his life he never bothered to rekindle the close relationship they had prior.

whereas lucy was jealous of lisanna because in lucys head natsu has never showed her any signs of being in love with her, however everyone in the guild also talks about how natsu so obviously used to have a crush on lisanna and how they raised happy together and how they used to play fake married couple together. not to mention she hated how everyone compared her to lisanna before she returned home.

so one day they both decide to pull eachother aside and tell eachother the truth, only to find they both felt the same and giggle about it before crying together and apologising and admitting their present, for lucy, and past, for lisanna, feelings of love for natsu. lisanna admits she doesnt actually mind not being as close with natsu anymore because she’s heard the stories from everyone about how much natsu has changed for the better since meeting lucy and she can finally see how happy she makes him. lucy admits she considered quitting team natsu because she never wanted lisanna to dislike her or feel like she could ever replace her and wanted lisanna to have her old spot back in their team. and over the hours they spend chatting, crying and apologising they end up learning things about eachother no one else knows and end up accidentally finding “sisters from another mister” ‘s in eachother and become the best of friends.

lisanna gossips to lucy about all the embarrassing stories she has against natsu when they were younger so she can use them against him when hes annoying her. and lucy goes to lisanna when shes struggling with her secret feelings for natsu and needs help navigating them.

she could understand why she was a celestial wizard. there was aura around her, an ethereal vibe about her that gave the impression that she wasn't from here. she exuded grace and kindness, and her being a princess definitely made sense. there was an air about her that naturally pulled people in.

hair spun like molten gold and eyes a rich, earthy, chocolatey brown, she was captivating and beguiling. and her figure was something to die for, sublime curves in all the right places and a heart-shaped face and full lips that was almost always curved upwards in a bright smile.

at first, when she came back, lisanna was understandably both jealous and intimidated by her presence and proximity to her loved ones. she was jealous of how much her big sister doted on her, and she was jealous of how close she was to natsu and happy.

so, she isolated herself and kept to herself. everything was different from her "death", and a large part of her felt discarded and betrayed by how well lucy fit in and how much she no longer did. she itched to return back to edolas. she fit in well there, and she was warmly recieved.

but lucy made it hard to despise her. whenever she would pull back, lucy would go out of her way to find her and check on her. blondes may be stereotypically thought of as dumb, but there was nothing dumb about lucy. she was highly intelligent and perceptive, observant and sharp as the whip she carried around her waist.

she would talk to her, and while lisanna was content to stew in silence, she could admit to herself that she liked the sound of the celestial wizard's voice. it was smooth like rain and washed over her like a cool river on a humid summer's day.

lucy would invite her to her home, and they'd hang out and watch tv or read magazines and discuss the latest gossip. well, lisanna was still catching up on things, so lucy would kindly fill in the blanks for her, but still.

lucy had shyly shared with her that she liked writing and would like to someday become a published writer. lisanna may not know lucy as well as her other guildmate's, but even she knew that this was something lucy treasured deeply and held closely to her heart. this was something deeply personal and important to her, and the fact that she shared something so intimate with her made lisanna feel touched.

she smiled at her, giving her hand a warm, supportive squeeze.

"that's really cool, lucy! you're so smart and have such a beautiful way with words, and i'm sure that you'd be an amazing writer. i know the world would be honored to read whatever stories you conjure up."

lucy was bashful, and lisanna was surprised to see a flush creep across her cheeks. the pink was beautiful against her smooth skin, and lisanna found herself blushing herself for such an observation.

"you really think so? i don't write as often as i'd like because i'm so busy with other things, so i know i'm rusty, but it's something that i love doing in my free time. that, and reading," she confessed, voice shy but no less sweet.

"i know i don't know you as well as everyone else, but i know that you're made for great things. i think you're really brave and smart and pretty and talented and that you can do whatever it is that you put your mind to. if you want to give being a published writer a chance, i say go for it."

brown eyes glistened with tears, and lisanna was afraid she'd stuck her foot in her mouth, but when she was pulled in a fierce hug, she realized she said the right thing.

being held in lucy's arms was a surreal feeling. being pressed chest to chest with her was also throwing her mind in a tizzy, her heart thumping harder than a rabbit's foot, her face redder than a fire hydrant. stunned, she returned the hug hesitantly, and when lucy only hugged her tighter, lisanna couldn't help but smile, blushing and dazed.

their hang outs had transpired over months, and while lisanna thought no one had noticed, they did, in fact, notice. her big sister mira had accosted her as she was on her way to lucy's, and she felt a fierce empathy for her sister's enemies because she had genuinely scared her shitless.

she had demanded to know where she was going, looking all pretty and dressed up, and lisanna stammered some random excuse and hightailed it out of the guild, running to lucy's and carefully cradling the food she had made for them to eat. she had forgotten how crazy her big sister could be, and their guildmates were even crazier.

she and lucy were just friends, and she enjoyed their time together. lucy was kind, she was thoughtful, she listened to her without judgement, and she was great company. she pulled her out of the darkness that threatened to swallow her up and helped let the light in.

it took them both a while to realize that they, did, in fact, like each other as something more than friendly, and that they were, in fact, dating each other. just two bisexual disasters being oblivious to the obvious. mira and elfman were so over the moon and were already planning their wedding. their whole guild was, actually, must to their flustered bewilderment. natsu already called dibs on being lisanna's "maid of honor", and a fight broke out between him and mira over his declartation. and happy was going to be the ring bearer.

did she mention how crazy and ridiculous her guildmates were? because they really were batshit crazy. she wouldn't want it any other way though.

the way she looks at you could rival that of stars twinkling in the dark sky, and her smiles show how happy she is at the moment. lisanna may be on the shyer side when it comes to lovey dovey things, but don’t let that fool you - as she can be romantic to the core. such as planning picnics in the flower fields or taking a walk at night that ends up in you two slow dancing.

the breeze is soft, the silver glow from the moon being cast on the trees and bushes around you, your hands are resting on her waist, while hers are placed on your shoulders, as you sway gently. lisanna might hum a sweet tune, staring into your eyes like they’re the only thing that catches her attention fully, a smile playing on her lips.

if you compliment on how beautiful she looks under the moonlight, a rosy blush will bloom on her cheeks, averting her gaze from you out of embarrassment in the moment, though she secretly loves it. during these intimate, tender moments you share, she lets herself express her true feelings little by little each time. and it’s when the night ends where she gets bit shy but gets closer, pressing a kiss on your cheek before leaning back,

it’s another typical night at the guild, full of laughter and the occasional fight breaking out - with clinking of mugs, too. you’re sitting next to cana, whose face is flushed after having more than one drink. she’s staring at you, her expression unreadable before her lips curl into a smirk, leaning in.

“are you really gonna sit there, all quiet tonight?” she asks teasingly, nudging your side with her elbow. “what’s wrong? not even gonna try to impress me?”

you roll your eyes, deciding to play along. “how am i supposed to impress you, hm? you’re the one who gets wasted every night.”

cana’s eyes shone with mischief, leaning in even closer until her lips were mere inches away from your ear. “oh? so you admit you want to impress me. go ahead and try, then.” she whispered, her tone low but playful. “i don’t give compliments out that easily, but go on.”

her fingers began to tap on your leg, strumming lightly as they began to move up juust slightly. you try to remain composed as your heart raced in your chest, but it’s useless. she clearly knows how flustered you’re getting.

cana pulled back, swirling the mug in her hand. “you’re lucky i even let you sit this close to me.” she teased, the smirk never leaving her face.

lucy heartfilia is outgoing, but when it comes to love, she expresses it in a quieter way.

she’s able to make you feel cherished without saying anything. in other words, her love shines through her actions - like when she makes your favorite meal, lending you books that have small, cheesy notes on them that she wrote, getting you accessories she thinks you’ll like - and many other things that are her little ways of telling you she cares, even if she’s too flustered to say it outright.

lucy isn’t always shy - but she tends to get embarrassed if you compliment her in public, for example. even a simple “you look pretty today” is enough to get her cheeks turn pink, but deep down, you know she treasures those moments dearly.

she likes to plan dates that aren’t too over the top - fit to both of your comfort zones. maybe it’s something simple like watching the sunset or laying on the freshly cut grass while watching the stars. or sneaking away from the guild to have a peaceful moment together, when you’re with her, you’ll always share something special.

lucy’s love language varies, not just one - it’s also being there for you. if you’re upset, she’ll notice quickly and tell you to sit down. she won’t pressure you to talk, holding your hand firmly, but if you do, lucy will listen fully, trying to cheer you up with a joke or reading a book to you.

when she finally has the courage to tell you how much you mean to her, with a soft smile and face tinted pink, you’ll be able to tell how sincere she is, and know how much she truly loves you.

Really wish newer Lucy stans would not pit Lucy and Lisanna as love rivals for Natsu’s heart. Especially since in canon they are both friends and it’s such a backwards mindset to have women be at each others throats for a man. ♡ it's a normal day at the fairy tail guild. the job board is crowded with papers, drinks and food are flowing, someone's starting a fight (natsu), and the air is filled with lively chatter. there's only one thing off: you're not there.

♡ gray is the first one to notice. he's at a table with lucy, cana, and erza. he and erza just got back from a stealth mission that paid them well, and he's looking forward to relaxing. except... "where's [name]?" he asks. lucy furrows her brow. "they weren't in yesterday... should we check on them?" gray nods, and the four of them leave the guild hall.

♡ you feel like someone threw you through a wall. your nose is clogged, feeling stuffy and congested. your throat itches and every time you cough it feels like you're hacking away at your lungs. there's a building pressure in your head, a pulsing pain that signals the onset of a migraine. you think that you'd be able to handle the usual symptoms of a cold, except for the burning aches in your lower back. your coughs shake your entire body as your muscles scream in protest, and you curse whatever virus decided to infect you.

♡ you manage to get yourself out of bed and into your kitchen, hoping to make yourself some rice or hot tea with honey. instead, you start seeing black spots swim across your vision, and the world starts tilting like you're swaying on the prow of a ship. you lower yourself onto the cool tile floor, relishing in the soothing temperature against your burning skin. you're so out of it that you don't register the knocks at your door turning into insistent bangs.

♡ finding you half passed out on your kitchen floor was not on gray's to-do list for the day. his worried hands hover over your shivering form, unsure what to check first. erza settles the matter by scooping you into her arms, Requiping out of her armor as she carries you to the couch.

♡ gray takes charge of the kitchen, your favorite recipes coming to kind. he settles on a warm and hearty soup, sure to soothe your hunger and your aches. he starts chopping vegetables, turns on the stove, and soon enough, the kitchen is filled with a delicious and appetizing aroma.

♡ erza is the one who takes your temperature, gets you back to enough coherency to explain your symptoms, and then finds the right medicine for you. she props your back up with pillows, tucks a blanket around you, and feeds you the disgusting cold medicine that porlyusica and wendy swear by.

♡ cana would love to help you and take care of you, except lucy looks pale as a sheet and a little green. she helps the blonde sit at the kitchen table, patting her arm soothingly. lucy mumbles that her mom passed from an illness, and seeing you so sick makes bad memories come back. cana soothes her, reassuring her that you'll be fine. lucy only relents when your eyes crack open, and you direct a gooey smile at her.

♡ you fade in and out of consciousness, snippets of sound and touch registering in your brain. someone is petting your hair while singing, their soft hands braiding and unbraiding your locks. a hand trails over your back, warm and calloused fingers digging into the knots in your shoulders. you purr under the sensation, leaning into the comforting touch. a soft arm, usually covered in armor, wraps around you to sit you up as a chilly hand brings a spoonful of something warm and delicious to your chapped lips. cold bangles brush against your skin as someone lifts you up, carrying you to the land of dreams.

♡ when you regain consciousness, your friends don't let you lift a single finger. gray cooks every meal for you with cana as his sous chef, erza is on top of your medication, natsu distracts you by telling silly stories, and wendy casts pain-relieving spells to help you recover faster. lucy refuses to leave your side until you're fully healed, so she's always fluffing your pillows, bringing you hot tea with honey, and feeding you snacks. the only time she calms down is when you ask her to read for you. her calming voice lulls you in and out of sleep as you listen to her read about a fairy tale princess's adventure.

♡ levy drops off books at your place so you can occupy your mind. most are either your favorites or her recommendations, but gajeel manages to sneak in a spicy book or two, which has you laughing so hard you start coughing.

♡ mira cooks up a storm in the guild hall, partially out of a desire to help you and partially out of worry. there's enough soup to feed fairy tail ten times over, and she insists that half of it be sent to you. lisanna ans juvia also stop by with some homemade baked goods. juvia gives you a steaming hot loaf of banana bread, some cookies and muffins, and a bunch of pastry buns. "it's just a cold, you didn't have to do all this." you try to reason, but no one listens to you when you look nauseous and your shoulders are shaking.

♡ there's someone at your place every day while you're recovering. it could be natsu and happy raiding your pantry and making a mess, it could be lucy and gray cleaning up their mess while erza yells at them, it could be wendy with balms and salves and a story to tell you, it could be the strauss siblings with more food and cheer than you'd ever seen before, it could be juvia with gajeel, lily, and a basket of your favorite buns. point being, fairy tail doesn't take their eyes off you for a moment while you're under the weather.

♡ when you feel well enough to come to the guild hall, everyone starts cheering. laxus fires up the grill, mira pours drinks in a flurry, and cana drags you into some drinking game. the entire guild hall roars to life, partying the night away, because what better reason is there to celebrate than the return of a dear friend?

Hi I'm new to your account and I'm very new to fairy tail. I like basically just finished binging the anime and watching what's out of the 100 yr quest anime and reading the released 100 yr quest manga chapters.

Like I've already seen a bunch of natsu x Lucy vs natsu x Lisanna. But the way I see it is that Lisanna is prob one of the big natsu x Lucy shippers

Ship wars are in every fandom, I'm surprised people are surprised that FT has them too, they are bored and want conflict, that's all.

Because Lisanna doesn't feel anything for Natsu, AT ALL

I've said this before, if Lisanna had never died NaLi would have made sense, but she died and Natsu can't date a damn corpse (I know she comes backs later). What I'm surprised of is that people shipped NaLi even before of bringing her back(free my girl). She was "dead", the ship made no sense at all...

Lisanna was never supposed to come back, she was supposed to stay dead, That's one of the reasons NaLi will never happen, mashima never had anything planned for her, so it doesn't make sense if she ends up with Natsu.

Not only do they hardly interact anymore, it just wouldn't work. Imagine if your boyfriend spent all his time (literally ALL HIS TIME) with another girl (Lucy), slept in her house, went on adventures with her and was hyperfixated on her in general, yeah no thanks.

Mashima confirmed in an interview that after bringing her back he thought about making the love triangle, but felt bad about Lisanna because she would NOT win.

This is not me being a hater of Lisanna or NaLi, I love Lisanna and I don't give a single f about NaLi to be honest, people can ship whoever they want as long as it's not problematic and NaLi is one of the most normal ships in the fandom, people just like to hate
